Marika being Numen and a Shaman is not a retcon.
The Shadow Lands were once part of the Lands Between until Marika sealed them away. Numen could have settled both the Lands Between and the Shadow Lands at the same time. Shaman are mostly likely a subset of the Numen people as a whole. Marika's village being destroyed does not mean all of the Numen are extinct. If Chicago disappeared tomorrow 'people from Illinois' would not magically cease to exist.
It's the same way one person can be multiple things at the same time. It's like how someone can live in California and San Francisco at the same time. It's the same way someone can be Jewish and a doctor at the same time. Marika can be Numen and Shaman at the same time. Nothing in-game suggests this isn't the case.
In fact, I feel like the base game making Numen seem otherworldly and special speaks to how the Lands Between itself treats Marika. Her origins must necessarily be spectacular and borderline supernatural because she is God. When in fact, the Numen culture was a lot like any other people- varied. Marika was a skilled healer and probably had a prominent role in her society, but she wasn't a savior sent from the stars. She was a regular woman that ascended to Godhood. But no one alive probably remains to know that.

Random Star Trek Headcanon:
Bones keeps everything his friends give him. He keeps up the cranky cantankerous image, sure. But you can see the little gifts littered throughout his office.
Sulu gave Bones a plant. He takes care of it, talks to it, and sure as hell makes sure to keep it alive.
Chekov gave Bones a Russian nesting doll. He keeps it on a shelf with his books and old medical texts. A pop of color against old brown leather.
Scotty gave Bones a bottle of whiskey. A very old bottle. Bones keeps it in his desk drawer for the really good days, or the really really bad.
Uhura gave Bones a couple of coffee mugs that he uses often. One she found at a farmers market in San Francisco. Crafted tin with bull horns etched on it with the words "Do no harm, But take no Bull". Another is clay, crafted in her hometown in Kenya. Adorn with colors and patterns. He loves them.
Spock gave Bones a piece of Vulcan. An ancient statue that depicts a healer and guardian of the innocent. It's a part of Vulcan's history before Surak. Well, the good parts before Surak anyway. Bones keeps it on a shelf behind his desk with a few pictures of his family, and friends.
Jim gave Bones something very important. Nothing material. Kirk gave Doctor McCoy to boldly go and save, inspire, nurture, and care for not only the crew of Enterprise but so many others across the universe. These accomplishments hang on his wall. Awards, combinations, and the smiling happy faces of everyone he had helped. And the smiling faces of the people around him, his friends, his family.
So despite his fear of space and flying through the unknown he is eternally grateful and would follow Jim Kirk to hell and back. He would follow any of them.
So he keeps everything he is given no matter how silly or insignificant.
When the Enterprise went down on Altamid he was heartbroken for all the people they had lost. When everything settled and crew members were patched up, healthy, or mourned he went back to Altamid with the recovery crew. He officially closed the cases of the missing and dug out everything of sentimental value himself.

faith healer, come put your hands on me
armand/daniel, 1.5k
(the first blood exchange, but make it san francisco)
'Is this what you seek, those long nights chasing drugs, drink, connection?'
Daniel blinked slowly. He faintly registered Armand wringing out a cloth, warm water against his skin.
'Rest? Reprieve?'
Armand ran a hand through his matted curls. Daniel's head tilted with the movement like a doll.
'Or is it noise? Sensation? Something to drown out the churning inside?'

How to begin with my animation career?
Since by next January, I'm moving back to Bay Area (which is my birth hometown), I'm trying to research for the indie animation jobs for me to apply around San Francisco, or Hayward, or any parts of California but I'm having a hard time on doing it. Because I really want to start off my Nature Healers series while I'm still young and I still don't know where to start to begin with my animation career. If there any experts who know how to start with your own animation career, please give me some advices, because I know I've got my series project, my character designs, my series story plot, and I've recently got Cara app as part of my portfolio app. But I just don't know where to start from there.

Day 9
Solo recovery is going well. Thankfully I'm a quick healer. This is nowhere near as bad as hysterectomy recovery was.
Getting lots of little tingly sensations as my nerves reconnect. It's not a bad feeling, kind of like lots of little springs, or like droplets of water rolling down my chest. But one thing that helps if it's bothering me is lightly tapping/drumming my fingertips across my incision (through the binder).
I pushed myself harder than I needed to for most of my first week, because I wanted to see things around San Francisco. Now that I'm home, I'm settling into more of what I probably should be doing - a walk with my dog in the morning (~20 minutes), some gentle physical therapy stretches (for both feet and chest), and a shorter walk in the afternoon/evening, plus walking around the house/yard. Having a small, well-behaved dog is super helpful, too. I can direct him with my voice and he doesn't pull at the leash much (and if he does, he's only 15 lbs and I can negotiate with him).
I definitely lifted more than was recommended in the first week, and I'm doing less of that now too. I haven't seen or felt any effects from that, but it's possible that my scars will stretch. I'm not terribly concerned about that, though. I left a lot of stuff behind when I left, but ended up with it in a backpack for the airport/plane rather than a hand-held bag. I think that was a good choice, with the options I had.
I've had good range of motion since day 1, and the t-rex arms I heard so much about are not quite the case. It's more that I can't lift my elbows above my shoulders, which isn't a huge deal. One thing I have trouble with is reaching across my chest, but that will improve as I heal.
I drove a little last night, which was successful though I need to be sure to use smaller motions on the steering wheel.
I wasn't really taught how to put on my binder or take care of my incisions (and didn't ask because I'm bad at that), but I've figured it out. I was given some gauze and vaseline gauze that I've been using, and some Aquaphor I need to use more. I have a continuous incision that goes pretty far back behind each armpit and joins in the middle, so it takes a lot of gauze and some work in front of the mirror. I took my first real shower last night, carefully making sure the water didn't hit the incision directly, and it was successful!
One thing I've seen recommended a lot is working on chest muscles before top surgery, and that does help the surgeon get the contours right... I didn't do much of that, and my incision looks great at this point. What I didn't see was working on lower body muscles, which I'm better at. Doesn't do a thing for the surgical site, but it helps a lot when you need to do things for yourself. I never had much trouble getting out of bed, and I can pick up things off the floor without any issues. Do some squats before surgery, it helps!
I'm still getting a lot of swelling here and there, mostly arms and legs. I cut back my sodium intake, but not as low as it could be. If I feel a limb getting too swollen I stretch it around to make sure I maintain circulation. Generally they swell and reduce in a matter of minutes (and swell again).
People often have trouble pooping after anesthesia, and when taking narcotic pain meds. I didn't this time, which I attribute to oatmeal, kombucha, large quantities of hot tea, and moving around. Wiping was tricky at first, but I managed and it's gotten easier.
For the most part I'm trying to just listen to my body. I feel good! A little tired overall, but I'm still adjusting to time zones too. I'm still taking tylenol, but no other meds. I had a little pain when I woke up, but tylenol took care of that. Lots of fluids, protein, and fiber are essential.

WHO: Moni & @docolives
WHERE: The Hideaway, Harmony Healers Pen
WHEN: The Winter Market, December 2024
A soft thanks left Monique as she took hold of the two hot cocoas she’d ordered from one of the stalls in the market. The towns residents had outdone themselves, yet again, coming together to create this winter wonderland. They definitely didn’t do anything like this back in San Francisco. Making her way over to the pen, hoof falls sounding against the sturdy ground as volunteers lead ponies within. Luckily, Olivia was for once not inside, and Monique snatched up the opportunity like a kid in a candy store. “Hey, Livvy! I got you a little pick me up.”

In the 1850s, under the relentless sun of the American South, the cotton fields stretched endlessly, a patchwork of emerald leaves and golden blooms. Among the laborers toiling in the fields was a young boy named Samuel. Despite being shackled by the chains of slavery, Samuel harbored a spirit that soared beyond the confines of his servitude. Born to a family of slaves on a plantation in Alabama, his childhood was marked by whispered tales of freedom and dreams of a life unfettered by the cruel legacy of his ancestors.
Samuel’s family was close-knit; his mother, a healer with a deep knowledge of herbs, and his father, a blacksmith with hands that could shape metal into art, imparted lessons of resilience and strength to their son. They spoke often of freedom, of what it might feel like to run unencumbered under a sky of their own choosing. But with the shackles clamped around his ankles, those dreams felt as distant as the stars.
One fateful night, a whisper of hope entered Samuel’s world. A rumbling sound echoed from the edge of the plantation, and he ventured out with his father to investigate. They found a group of abolitionists helping slaves escape through the underground railroad. Samuel's heart raced as he exchanged glances with his parents; it was a fleeting chance for freedom and a new life beyond the cotton fields.
With determination, they made the pivotal decision to escape. The family traveled by night, taking advantage of the cover of darkness, guided by the North Star. After several harrowing weeks, with close calls and narrow escapes, they crossed into free territory, finally feeling the chains of oppression slip away.
Upon reaching a small town in Ohio, the family settled into a modest community where they found work and began to thrive. Samuel quickly learned the ways of business through the town’s merchants, absorbing every lesson like a sponge. His natural charisma and keen mind drew the attention of local business leaders, and he soon became a notable figure in the town, saving every penny he could.
However, Samuel’s ambitions extended beyond the dusty roads of the Midwestern town. He dreamed of wealth and power, and the stories of the Yakuza, the notorious Japanese crime syndicate, reached his ears. Fascinated by their discipline, honor, and influence, Samuel began plotting a pathway that would lead him to the world he admired from afar.
After several years, Samuel moved to San Francisco, which was teeming with opportunity and a melting pot of diverse cultures. There, he found himself drawn into the world of organized crime, initially as a minor street hustler. His intelligence, charm, and relentless work ethic soon earned the respect of the local Yakuza, who recognized his potential

More Tailwind characters and details
@yugonora-comic @cruisingheightswithdragons Wanted to give some of the other/minor characters a few details that add to the Tailwind community. I'd also like to add that when I visualize Tailwind, and Lough together, I'm picturing a version of Napa Valley. Beautiful sprawling vineyards with a whole community built around it. Yellow City being a little more developed like the neighboring San Francisco.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lord Noah Blodogtårer: Tailwind's leader. Inspired alot by General Ironwood fro. RWBY. Third generation leader of Tailwind, he has seen the village become stagnant. After his father passed and he ascended, Lord Blodogtårer made it his mission to make Tailwind a formidable economic source. Has been in communication with the leaders from Lough and Yellow City and is a great negotiator. So motivated to improve his village that he looses sight of the world around him. Can lead to more environmental and socio-politcal issues. But at his core, he cares so deeply for people. Has a wife and two children, a boy and a girl. It is not known his stance on monsters.
Alice Ahlman: Export coordinator and representative. Close in age to Vivi, early to mid 30s. Well traveled and brings back souvenirs for the Skarsgårds. Carries a knife on her at all times, a habit she picked up in her travels. Friendly but will be cautious with new people. Great saleswoman when it comes to selling Tailwind's wares. Knows how to read people and choose words wisely. Great storyteller to locals and will visit the healer's hut to tell stories to those too sick or injured to travel. Does not hate monsters but will sometimes stare.
Stefan Sjögren: Internal economy coordinator and representative. A young man, more than ten years younger than Vivi and Alice. Born and raised in Tailwind and is beloved by the locals. Knows everyone, makes it a point. Wants everyone to love him so he will do whatever the community asks. Which means fortifying their desires to not modernize. Feels bad for halting the process and making things difficult but hates the thought of Tailwind despising him. Tailwind is his world so he doesnt quite understand current affairs. Absolutely hates monsters and has rumored to have killed one or two.

TASK #21 LET’S GO TO WORK
What does your character do for a living?
Livvy technically works two jobs. She is a physical therapist at the White Heron Wellness clinic, and runs the therapeutic riding program, Harmony Healers, at Harmony Ranch.
How long have they been doing that job?
She took over the therapeutic riding program in 2023, but had volunteered for a while before then, wanting to be as hands on as possible, so she's been working with the kids and the horses for much longer than she's been in charge of them.
As for physical therapy, Livvy started out in 2013 with an internship out in San Francisco, finished her education, and moved home to take up the position she works in now in 2014 and hasn't really looked back since.
What made them decide to go into that career / job?
For physical therapy, it was an easy decision. She knew that she wanted to go into some form of medicine, since she wanted to help people. Originally, she wanted to go into pediatrics, work with children, but a relationship with a man who had a terminally ill daughter that they lose while together shifted her focus... especially after breaking her leg and needing to go through physical therapy herself. She decided it was a good way to heal.
Getting involved with Harmony Healers just felt like an obvious choice for her. She loved horses, she loved helping people. Getting to do both of those things at once seemed like the perfect combination.
What is their favorite thing about their job?
In both cases, it's watching kids smile and laugh, and helping people get back on their feet. Literally. But it is an added bonus that she gets to work with her own horse every day at the ranch.
What is their least favorite thing about their job?
For physical therapy, it's not always being taken seriously because she's a woman in a man's world, basically. As far as the program, not having more hours in the day.
What was the first job that they ever had?
It's incredibly embarrassing, but when Livvy first moved out to the west coast, she took odd ball jobs doing modeling gigs. She rarely talks about it with anyone.
What jobs have they worked since then?
She's only ever really worked in physical therapy and with the horses! Truly, her life was pretty blessed with opportunity, and she tries to remember that as often as she can.
What was their favorite job that they’ve ever had?
The therapeutic riding instructor position is her hands down favorite, of anything she's ever worked.
What was their least favorite job that they’ve ever had?
Probably the modeling gig. No shade or shame to anyone who does it and loves it, because she's sure that it's a ton of fun, but it was not something that she was ever really comfortable with.
Growing up, what was their dream job?
Equestrian or professional ice skater. Baby Olivia was very, very ambitious and had some pretty big ideas about where she was going to go in her life.
What is their dream job now?
Professional mane braider.
Be honest – does your character enjoy their job?
Livvy finds true joy in the work that she does with the therapeutic riding program, and enjoys it thoroughly. She likes the healing and the work in physical therapy, but isn't quite sure she would say that she 'enjoys' it so much as she is good at it and does her best.
Does your character plan on retiring as soon as they can, or will they continue working?
She will probably work with the riding program as long as she possibly can, but would like to retire at a decent age from the physical therapy side of things.
Have they ever been fired from a job?
Nope!
Do they think that their job is rewarding?
Honestly, there are few things more rewarding than watching a man regain his ability to go running again after an injury, or to help a kid be able to use their broken hand to make Lego houses. And when it comes to the program, she thinks that it is by far the most rewarding thing that she has ever done with her life.

THE ICON OF THE MOTHER OF GOD, NAMED "THREE-HANDED" FROM HILANDAR MONASTERY , MT ATHOS
Tumblr media
This icon is the exact copy of the original located in Hilandar. It had been offered by the Serbian church to an historical Russian church San Francisco, California
The Iconoclastic heresy swept through the Byzantine Empire in the seventh century. Emperor Leo III the Isaurian ascended the throne and initiated persecutions against the veneration of icons. Despite being under Muslim rule, the Caliphate of Damascus allowed Orthodox Christians freedom in their faith. Priests, monks, and laypeople fled there to escape the heretical emperor’s persecution.
The chief minister of Caliph Yazid II ibn Abd al-Malik was Mansur ibn Sarjun, a devout Christian who enjoyed the caliph’s complete trust. The monarch was not troubled by his advisor’s faith — Mansur’s father had also been an Orthodox Christian and had faithfully served the Damascene court. One day, Sergius (the name of Mansur’s father) encountered a monk at a slave market, shedding tears in deep sorrow as he had no one to inherit his profound knowledge and spiritual experience. After buying the monk’s freedom, Sergius tasked him with teaching his children, Mansur and Cosmas, his adopted son. These two would later become illustrious figures of the Orthodox Church — Saint John of Damascus and Saint Cosmas of Maiuma.
The monk’s pupils received much wisdom, as demonstrated by Mansur ibn Sarjun’s influential work, “Three Apologies Against Those Who Decry Holy Icons.” The Damascene official zealously used his vast knowledge and talent to combat Iconoclasm. He sent letters to his many acquaintances in Byzantium, using Holy Scripture and patristic traditions to affirm the correctness of icon veneration. His writings, secretly copied and shared among individuals, fueled Orthodox believers’ faith and shed light on the Iconoclast heretics’ mistakes.
Eventually, Mansur’s activities came to unnerve even the Iconoclast emperor. The heretics then resorted to their favourite tactic — deception. This time, however, their lies were not about doctrinal matters but aimed at their defender’s reputation. The Damascene minister faced slander before the caliph, with accusations of conspiracy and treason against him.
A scribe forged a letter in Mansur’s handwriting, addressed to Leo III, supposedly promising to surrender Damascus to the Byzantines. This deceitful message was presented to Caliph Yazid II by the cunning emperor-heretic. Unaware of Leo’s malicious plot, the caliph chose not to investigate further. He brutally punished his loyal servant by sentencing Mansur to have his right hand cut off, which he then displayed in the marketplace.
According to tradition, Mansur pleaded with the caliph to return his severed hand. With tears streaming down his face, he prayed fervently before an ancient icon of the Mother of God. Exhausted from moral anguish and physical pain, he finally fell asleep. In his dream, the Holy Theotokos appeared to him and said: “Behold, your hand is healed; do not grieve any longer and diligently labour with this hand.” When Mansur awoke and unwrapped the cloth binding his wrist, only a red scar remained as a reminder of his wound. In gratitude to his miraculous Healer, Mansur composed the beautiful hymn “All Creation Rejoices in You.” To commemorate his miraculous healing, he attached a silver replica of his hand to the icon before which he had prayed. From then on, this image of the Mother of God became known as “Of the Three-Hands.”
News of Mansur's healing quickly spread throughout Damascus. Convinced by the miracle of his minister’s innocence, the caliph sought Mansur’s forgiveness and urged him to return to his governmental duties. However, Mansur’s heart now belonged solely to God. Henceforth, he would dedicate all his strength and abilities to serving Him. Taking the icon that had bestowed healing upon him, Mansur withdrew to Palestine, where he took monastic vows as John. Tradition holds that this was at the Lavra of Saint Sabbas the Sanctified.
The icon remained in Saint Sabbas’s monastery until the thirteenth century. Before he died in 532 AD, Saint Sabbas bequeathed his staff for a royal pilgrim named Sabbas, a great archbishop and man of God, to receive upon visiting the monastery from a distant western land in the future. Seven hundred years later, Saint Sabbas, the first Archbishop of Serbia, fulfilled this prophecy during his pilgrimage to holy sites in Palestine. The monks presented him with Saint Sabbas’s blessing and gave him two miraculous icons: The Mother of God “Milk-Giver” and “Of the Three Hands.”
Therefore, the icon made its journey to Serbia in the thirteenth century. In the fourteenth century, during the Turkish invasion, pious custodians placed it on a donkey and released it into God’s care to prevent desecration. With the precious cargo on its back, the donkey trod unhindered to the Holy Mountain of Athos...continue reading @convent St Elizabeth
St VERONICA, THE WOMAN WITH AN ISSUE OF BLOOD WHO WAS HEALED BY THE SAVIOUR
Tumblr media
The account of the woman with an issue of blood, who had the unusual name of Veronica, may be found in the Gospel according to Saint Matthew (9:20-22), in Saint Mark's Gospel (5:25-34), and also in Saint Luke's Gospel (8:43-49).
The Synaxaristes of Saint Νikόdēmos of the Holy Mountain states that this Saint was from the city of Paneada. When the Lord healed her issue of blood, she was very grateful, because for twelve years she had "suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and nothing had helped, but instead she became worse" (Mark 5:26).
She had heard of Christ, and decided to go to Him, believing that she would be healed merely by touching His garment. When she did this, the Savior felt that power had gone forth from Him. Turning to the crowd, He asked who had touched His garment. His disciples were puzzled by the question, since many people were pressing Him on all sides. Saint Veronica came forward and fell down before Him in fear and trembling, and admitted what she had done. The Lord said, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your affliction" (Mark 5:34).
In her gratitude, she made a statue of Him and placed it in front of her house, where everyone could venerate it. A healing plant grew at the base of the statue, which was able to cure various diseases.
Later, Saint Veronica became a member of the early Church. After living a life of holiness, she surrendered her soul to God.
Roman Catholics venerate a saint named Veronica, who is said to have wiped the Savior's face with her veil as He carried His Cross to Golgotha. She is not the saint who is commemorated by the Orthodox Church. That cloth was called the "Veronica," or true image (from vera and iconica) of Christ's face. Saint Gregory of Tours uses this word (Vita Patrum chapter 12) for an image (see the Greek word εικόνα). This incident, is not mentioned in the Gospels.
Some uninformed iconographers confuse these two women and depict our Saint Veronica holding a cloth with the imprint of Christ's face, which is not in accordance with Orthodox Tradition. On August 16, the Orthodox Church commemorates the Image not made by hands, the cloth which Christ sent to King Abgar with the imprint of His Face.

ROMANS 15:17-29
17 Therefore I have reason to glory in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God. 18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient- 19 in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. 20 And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man's foundation, 21 but as it is written:"To whom He was not announced, they shall see; And those who have not heard shall understand." 22 For this reason I also have been much hindered from coming to you. 23 But now no longer having a place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come to you, 24 whenever I journey to Spain, I shall come to you. For I hope to see you on my journey, and to be helped on my way there by you, if first I may enjoy your company for a while. 25 But now I am going to Jerusalem to minister to the saints. 26 For it pleased those from Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem. 27 It pleased them indeed, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister to them in material things. 28 Therefore, when I have performed this and have sealed to them this fruit, I shall go by way of you to Spain. 29 But I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.
MATTHEW 12:46-13:3
46 While He was still talking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him. 47 Then one said to Him, "Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You." 48 But He answered and said to the one who told Him, "Who is My mother and who are My brothers?" 49 And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers! 50 For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.
1 On the same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea. 2 And great multitudes were gathered together to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. 3
Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: "Behold, a sower went out to sow...

We all know about the Oakland/San Francisco (Bay Area) music scene. But when I think of it, I think of hazy, guitar-centric pop. I don't think of meticulously crafted pop in the vein of Lawrence Arabia, Laurie Shaw or The Martial Arts.
Skyway Man "Flight of the Long Distance Healer" is just a great album. James Wallace (Oakland) writes music that reminds me of the work of Mull Historical Society and the like.
Mama Bird Recording Co. (Portland, Oregon) has just released this. It sits nicely alongside another Mama Bird artist - Matt Dorrien.

FICTIONAL CHARACTER ASK: JANICE
Asked by @princesssarisa
@softlytowardthesun @themousefromfantasyland @moonbeamelf @fragglesesamemuppetz2 @angelixgutz @the-blue-fairie @thealmightyemprex @amalthea9
Favorite Thing About Them: She is a genuinelly sensitive, sweet, kind and empathetic person who has the ability to easily make friends and a competent performer in the fields of music and acting who greatly values team work rather than competing for attention with her colleagues.
Least Favorite Thing About Them: How the writers of the 2015 ABC sitcom the muppets. portrayed Janice as so over the top ditzy that she acted passive and with no opinions or desires of her own while the male characters Sam the Eagle, Floyd Pepper and Dr Teeth treated her as an object of dispute wich they were entitled to have as a romantic partner.
Three Things I Have In Common With Them:
* I have a tambourine;
* I love colorfull clothes made of light fabric;
* I love rock and roll music;
Three Things I Don’t Have In Common With Them:
* I’m not a member of a band;
* I’m not as chill as she is;
* I don’t have long blonde hair;
Favorite Line:
From the movie The Great Muppet Caper:
“…and I said, ‘Look mother, it’s my life o-kay? And if I want to live on a beach and walk around naked, I–”
From the movie The Muppets Take Manhattan:
"So I told him 'Look, buddy, I don't take my clothes off for anybody, even if it is artistic’”
From the comic Muppet King Arthur, where she played the humourous and witty Lady of the Lake:
“Call me Janice. That was my name before I, like, became one with nature”.
“Rock never hurt anyone. Well, except for scissors. Poor scissors”.
From the comic Muppet Robin Hood, where she plays the healer Willa Scarlet (a genderbent Will Scarlet):
“Oh yeah, like, going back to nature is sooo real, man, fer sure. You’ll like dig it, totally! These trees can teach us lessons, man”.
From the comic Muppet Peter Pan, where she played the role of Wendy Darling:
“Like, I’m detecting some rilly unresolved anger issues, fer sure”...
“A nice fruit salad is very cleansing for the system”.
“It never hurts to try to be, like, totally diplomatic and make friends!”
“I’m ready to grow up, now. Yeah, I even know what I want to do when I grow up! I wanna Rock and Roll!”
“Hey, dad, at least it’s, like, totally american... fer sure!”
From the comic Muppet Snow White, where she played the dwarf Happy:
“You’re like my favorite fairytale character. Next to Wendy from Muppet Peter  Pan”.
brOTP: Rowlf the Dog, Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Animal, Bean Bunny, Scooter, Skeeter, Miss Piggy, Annie Sue Pig, Spamela Hamderson, Zondra, Darci, Charlie (Solid Foam's Drummer), Dolores (Trumpet Girl), Wanda.
OTP: Skeeter, Zoot, Floyd Pepper.
nOTP: Dr Teeth, Lips, Sam the Eagle.
Random Headcanon: She was born in San Francisco, and in one side of her family she has lebanese heritage, wich is aparent in her lips, eyes and olive skin tone, while on the other side she has german-irish heritage, wich is aparent in her blonde hair.
Unpopular Opinion: Her toddler design with open eyes and already big lips in 1984's Muppet Babies looks pretty unsetling. The illustrations for the Muppet Kids books reached a better natural look for a young Janice, with more subtle lipstick around her lips and her characteristic closed eyes.

Hey! I hope you're doing well.
Could you please pray for me (for self control and will) and my friend Rachael (she's going through a lot)?
Much love, Maria ( @beholdthehandmaidenofthelord ) 🎀🙏🌷
Of course! Some prayers you may find useful:
Orthodox Prayer for the Self
Orthodox Prayer to Accept God's Will
Orthodox Prayer against Passions, Torments, Despair and Distress
Prayer to St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco
A prayer that I would recommend for when you want to pray for others would be:
Teach me Lord, to dispose my deeds so that they will serve in glorifying Your Holy Name. Take pity, O Lord, on all Christians. Hear the desires of all who cry out to You, and deliver them from evil. Save Your servants [insert name/s]. Send them comfort, consolation in sorrow, and Your holy mercy. Lord, I especially pray for those who have in anyway insulted, abused and grieved me. Do not punish them for the sake of me, a sinner; but pour Your mercy upon them.
Be merciful Lord, to those who have entrusted me, an unworthy sinner to pray for them. Be merciful Lord, to all who ask Your help. Lord, make this day a day of Your mercy; give to each according to their petition. Be the Shepherd of the lost, the Guide of Light of unbelievers, the Teacher of the unwise, the Healer of the sick, the Comforter of the dying, and lead us all to the desired end: to You, our refuge and blessed repose. Amen
--
God bless you, and I will keep you both in my prayers

Blood Status: Half-blood Patronus: A phoenix. Both a symbol of rebirth and his family’s crest, it feels fitting. ☘ Appearance: Face Claim: Simu Liu Height: 6’0 Hair Colour: Black Eye Colour: Dark Brown Typical Hair Style: Neatly trimmed, often swooped over to one side. Sometimes it forms a little curl on his forehead.  Fashion Style: Well-tailored. Clifford has a sense of style from his childhood years of being dressed by his family, which has followed him despite himself. He’s just moved on from Zhongshan suits to simple sweaters, waistcoats and long coats. When he’s in his garden, he wears comfy clothes and a gardening apron as well as the ugliest wellingtons. He tends to dress in more muted colours normally, but wears bright and patterned socks to make up for it. He also wears ear cuffs and other decorations on his deaf ear.  Distinguishing Features: Incredibly easy aura. A hearing aid or jewellery on his right ear. Sometimes, dirt smears on his forehead when he’s been working and has only popped out of the house briefly.
☘ Personality and Interests: Positive Traits: Gentle, steadfast, patient, hardy, non-judgemental  Negative Traits: Reserved, apologetic, detached, naive, self-deprecating, aloof Quick Facts: Can dance. Talks to plants. Has a full Healer’s qualification. Has studied a fair amount of non-magical medicine too. Can do non-verbal spells to an extent. Makes a killer broth. Is agile. Uses chalk boards to make notes in his home. Reads sci-fi books.  Hobbies: Gardening. Sketching plants. Spending time in Suavis Gardens.  Skills: Good at lying on paper. Bad at lying in person. Good with plants. Good with medical magic. Okay at non-medical magic. Good at playing the fool.  Theme song: “Plant Life” by Owl City
☘ Headcanons:
Voice: Warm af. His words come out a little swallowed sometimes due to his disability, but years of practice and speech therapy have helped him through the worst of it.
Handwriting: While one is tempted to make Clifford’s handwriting the typical doctor’s mess, he actually has pretty neat handwriting. He writes a lot of notes about his plants, often curled around drawn diagrams of them, so he forms small, curled letters that are easy on the eyes.
Clifford’s birth name is Chaoxiang, meaning “expecting fortune”. His mom chose his American name because it had a lot of nickname potential for him.
When Clifford was young, he never understood the true purpose of talking to plants. He didn’t understand the exchange of carbon dioxide. Instead, he thought they genuinely needed the verbal encouragement. Despite now knowing the truth, he still converses with his plants and encourages other inanimate objects while using them.
Ask Clifford to draw a flower, and he’s great. It’s fully detailed and to scale and worthy of being in any of his botany books. Ask him to draw literally anything else? It’s terrible. The worst. This is the kind of man who would draw horses how they appear in old artworks. Awful.
Once he and Enes became friends in school, Cliff became the worst person to get up to shenanigans with. Not only was he terrible at lying to teachers, but they also tended to believe he was innocent himself, leading to a remarkably low detention count.
Cliff is surprisingly built. He lives a healthy lifestyle and probably exercises, because there is no other canon justification for him to be as buff as his FC.
In another life, Clifford would’ve liked to go to a muggle university for a proper degree in botany.
He isn’t sure where it came from, but Cliff has a love for independent sci-fi novels. Something about life on a spaceship reminds him of life at school. He also likes the guesses at what futuristic medicine could look like.
