Chifuyu is a calm and affectionate brother, the boy has always been extremely cute to you.

Even though you are the older sister, Chifuyu is the one who takes care of and protects you.

You spend a lot of time together, but you don't go out much, you just stay at home more, especially reading mangas together.

He is jealous, Chifuyu likes to have his attention, he is very needy sometimes.

Bit of a personal one, but we got to do a little Halloween festive trip out yesterday with the little Truly's. Something you're not always able to do when you have a child with extra needs, as events such as these can be a bit overwhelming for a multitude of reasons. So when we're able to attend ones that are specially catered for families like ours, it's always a special occasion - even if it does make you realise how unfit you are wrangling two kids 🤣 Also, keeping on brand, Baby Truly adored all the Halloween decor and was waving and saying hello to her minions the props.

Watched the new Goosebumps on Disney+ not expecting much, and I actually enjoyed it. Little Betty would have been all over this as a kid.

Also, watched my annual viewing of Practical Magic, which thanks to the wonders of the digital age I own to stream to my heart's content regardless of the season.

from the Executive of the United States, "all slaves are free". This involves an absolute equality of personal rights and rights of property between former

                                                                              The freedmen are advised to remain quietly

at their present homes and work for wages. They are informed that they will

 not be allowed to collect at military posts and that they will not be supported

the Ordinance of Succession are hereby declared illegitimate.

                                                          All military and civil

officers and agents of the so-called Confederate States Government or of the State

of Texas, and all persons formerly connected with the Confederate States Army,

in Texas, will at once report for parole at one of the following places, or such

other as may be designated hereafter, to the proper United States officers to be

appointed:

                   Houston, Galveston, Bonham, San Antonio, Marshall and Brownsville.

                                       Although their long absence from their homes, and the

peculiar circumstances of their State, may facilitate their desertion from their organizations,

this order will be strictly and promptly complied with.

                                                                 The above mentioned, and all other

persons having in their possession public property of any description whatever, as arms

horses, "munitions", etc., formerly belonging to the so called Confederate States, or State

currently he was away... outside... doing god knows what. this would be the perfect chance to escape for any other yandere, but the windows, doors and yourself are uuh, chained up. however even if you weren't chained up on a bed, izuru would probably find you eventually, no matter where you run to. if you're in the same universe, you're his.

all you could really do was sit and wait for izuru to return. the least he could do was give you some sort of entertainment, jeez. selfish bastard. despite the windows being closed and locked tight, you felt as if the room's temperature started to drop. you curled yourself into a ball and tried not to think about anything, hoping you'd drift away from this reality for awhile... and even better, permanently.

it was only a few minutes before you concluded you couldn't fall asleep in this environment at this temperature in this situation. the only way you'd fall asleep was by taking some sleep pills or melatonin. maybe once izuru came back you could send him away again by asking him to buy some melatonin? that didn't sound bad at all.

you were awoken by a cold gust of wind as well as your hunger. you must've fallen asleep while plotting on how to get izuru to leave you alone for awhile more. you were still so deep in thought, you hadn't even noticed kamukura standing next to the bed with that same cold stare that he'd always given you when you weren't his hostage.

"what! stop staring at me- go look at the wall or something," you tried to sound intimidating, but ended up sounding like yourself, but more weak and pathetic. "s/o i can look at what's mine," he casually stated, setting down a box of takeout on the bed, "i got your favorite takeout, and since you have this sort of "performance anxiety", i'll leave you be to eat alone, i'll come back soon," and with that, he shut the door and locked it.

you mentally screamed at both yourself and at him out of rage. how dare you let him call you his? once you calmed down from your rage, you realized he actually unchained you. wow. you knew he didn't really want to tell you you were free, but you still felt extremely mad at him for not telling you.

due to your stubbornness, you refused to eat, but you also refused to push the food onto the ground... the food didn't deserve that death just because izuru bought and brought it to you. you were just looking at the food, imagining yourself watching akane eat a gourmet meal prepared by teruteru.

by now the food was probably freezing cold. it was also the time for izuru to return, back to torment you. "oh s/o, if you were claiming my predications were wrong and you weren't actually hungry, you could've told me instead of wasting a good meal," he sarcastically said, placing the box onto the bedside.

"what the fuck do you even want from me—? i don't even know you!" you spat, your anger and rage completely distracted you from your hunger and the freezing temperature biting your skin. "i only want you. i don't need or want anything you own." you cringed at that, but you didn't let that show, "

"s/o, i can do anything for you, sing you to sleep, feed you, bathe you, breed you till you can't walk or stand, give you all the affection you'll ever want and need, get you anything you want in the world, all just for you to submit to me," had his eyes gotten more passionate and brighter or was it just you slowly losing your sanity to them? you didn't know anymore. "i just want you to know as well, i’ll do whatever the fuck I want to you, got it?"

you were shocked at that last part, but chose to ignore it. big mistake. "but i don't want any of that—! i just want my freedom— move around and be with whoever i wish— not whate—" you were cut off by kamukura pulling you into a passionate kiss, shoving his tongue into your mouth even before you could react, it exploring and dominating your mouth with his saliva.

you tried to push away, meanwhile trying to imagine you were kissing your crush or someone else instead of this psychopath. he broke the kiss rather quickly, a string of saliva still connecting you two. you shook your head violently and wiped it away.

"what the fuck was that?!" you gasped out, tears starting to form your eyes from how dirty and gross you felt. while distracted with that, you abruptly stopped to the feeling of something being slipped onto your neck. a shock collar. to make things worse, that collar has his name on it.

"now don’t you dare take it off, I want everyone to know you’re mine. and i think it suits you, s/o." he turned his back to you, taking one last glance before leaving you stranded in the darkness of your brand new room, only a tad bit of moonlight managing to stream in through the metal shutters of the window.

you curled into a ball and started to cry. everything had happened so quickly, you didn't even know izuru well, you only met him through hajime. how special were you to him? you were just a regular mortal doing what they were made to do.

I encourage anyone reading this to read as much or as little as they want. I hope that anyone can understand the detailed explanation, and that most math undergrads can understand most of the observations I make. The generalisations might not be so accessible all the time.

To put it tersely, its the projection of the barycentric subdivision of a tetrahedron onto the 2-sphere, visualised on a rectangle via the mercator projection.

This is closely related to Coxeter groups, the classification of polytopes, the classification of straight line Coxeter groups, the classification of regular tilings of surfaces of constant curvature, and Schl\"afli symbols.

A more detailed explanation:

Imagine taking a tetrahedron, putting a dot on the middle of each vertex, edge, and face, and connecting them all up with straight lines along its surface. This is the so called "barycentric subdivision". Then consider the origin to be in the middle of the tetrahedron, and then project the tetrahedron (and the lines we drew on it) onto a sphere. We use the mercator projection to view it like a map, but we still think of it as lying on the sphere (see below mp4 of said sphere with the barycentric subdivision drawn on it). Each face of the tetrahedron could be imagined to be coloured a certain colour, so v_2 in the diagram on my header is the vertex at the centre of the yellow face, v_1 is the vertex in the centre of one of the yellow faces edges, and similarly for v_0. These appear to be connected by curved lines, but these are straight lines on the surface of the sphere.

Assume the tetrahedron and sphere are embedded in R^3 and share a common centre at the origin.

Some interesting observations:

each of these lines we drew now gets turned into a great circle, which corresponds to a plane going through the origin

reflections in these great circles preserves the lines we drew, and correspond to automorphisms of the tetrahedron

each triangle in the subdivision has angles pi/3 radians, pi/3 radians, and pi/2 radians.

the symmetry group of the tetrahedron is S_4, where the adjacent transpositions correspond to permutations of the faces (or if you like, vertices)

the symmetric group S_4 has a presentation , where the s_i are adjacent transpositions of 4-tuples

The exponents of the (s_is_j) terms above exactly match the denominators of the angles of the triangle mentioned above

we can pick one triangle on the sphere and consider the reflections in (the faces corresponding to) its edges, denoted s_0, s_1, and s_2. These reflections permute the coloured faces of the tetrahedron, or if you like, its vertices.

we can repeatedly apply these reflections to flip across an edge or vertex of the yellow face, rotate about the centre of the yellow face (e.g. s_0 s_1), and transpose the yellow face with any other face

In this manner we can represent every symmetry of the barycentric subdivision, and by extension, the tetrahedron, in terms of these three reflections. If you don't see this, consider the effect of conjugation.

The sphere is a surface of constant curvature

This tiling generated by the tetrahedron is a regular tiling of the sphere

In short, the tetrahedron has a symmetry group S_4 (often called A_4 in analogy with the Dynkin Diagram) that has a presentation in terms of three reflections, which act transitively on this barycentric subdivision. The angles of the barycentric subdivision correspond to the relations of the presentation. One can generalise this observation and use it to classify polyhedra.

Some theoretical results.

A Coxeter group is a group W accompanied by a set of generators S = {s_1, s_2, ..., s_n} \subseteq W, such that W = <s_i | (s_is_j)^m(i,j) = 1>, where m(i,j) is an integer at least 1, m(i,i) = 1, and m(i,j) > 1 if i != j. These relations turn out to exactly correspond to the relations necessary to define a finite system of reflections in (n+1)-dimensional space.

By polytope, I mean a bounded convex polytope.

The regular tilings of the sphere correspond to regular polytopes, which correspond to the finite irreducible Coxeter groups whose Dynkin diagrams have straight lines

We can define a polytope to be regular if the automorphism group of the polytope acts transitively on the regions of the barycentric subdivision (or equivalently, its "flags"), which corresponds to chains of i-faces of the polytope ordered by inclusion

To go from a polytope to its Coxeter group, you take its automorphism group to get the group structure, and do a similar thing to above to find the generators, you arrange some hyperplanes so that their reflections satisfy the relations of the Coxeter group, generate a system of hyperplanes closed under reflection, and intersect this with an (n-1)-sphere to get the barycentric subdivision, from which you can recover a polytope and its dual polytope, which have isomorphic Coxeter groups

The regular tilings of the plane correspond to the affine irreducible Coxeter groups with straight line Dynkin diagrams.

One can study the regular tilings of hyperbolic space and classify those Coxeter groups too.

The E_8 lattice, which gives solution to 8-dimensional sphere packing has a a load of other interesting properties, corresponds to the Coxeter group E_8, via a certain semiregular polytope which is the convex hull of some lattice points.

The classification of regular (n-dimensional) polytopes and regular tilings of R^n is via the classification of Coxeter groups (and by extension Dynkin diagrams with certain properties)

There is an elegant classification according to Bourbaki that resembles the typical intuitive classification of regular polyhedra and regular tilings of R^2

Fun extensions

There are a lot of ways to represent a symmetry of a polytope/element of a Coxeter group in terms of the reflections/generators s_i. Is there an easy way to determine whether your representation of the symmetry/group element is the shortest? Yes! In fact, you can construct a DFA on the generators in the finite case.

The Cayley graph of a Coxeter group is Hamiltonian

My pfp shows the duality between an octahedron and a cube. If you draw a vertex at the centre of each face of the cube, and take the convex hull of the vertices, you get an octahedron. Note that vertices of the octahedron correspond to faces of the cube, edges of the octahedron correspond to edges of the cube, and faces of the octahedron correspond to vertices of the cube. Two vertices of the octahedron are incident with each other when the corresponding faces of the cube share an edge, and so on. To put it formally, the poset of i-faces of the octahedron and the poset of i-faces of the cube, both under inclusion, have an anti-isomorphism between them. This causes them to have isomorphic symmetry groups.

The cube has its Coxeter group with relations (s_0s_1)^4 = (s_1s_2)^3 = (s_0s_2)^2 = s_i^2 = 1. Note that here the 4 and 3 are different numbers, and the cube has a dual of an octahedron. In the case of the tetrahedron, the exponents are the same, and the tetrahedron is self dual. In general, finite irreducible Coxeter groups with straight line Dynkin diagrams correspond to self dual polytopes exactly when their Dynkin diagrams are "reversible".

This is heavily related to how the cube and octahedron have reversed Schl\"afli symbols.
