summary: after moving to Europe, the rumors surrounding you and your girlfriend died down. what if they come back during the gold cup?

Emily Fox and Y/n L/n are in a year long relationship together. The 25 and 23 year old first met when they both played for North Carolina Courage in 2023. Since then, Emily moved to London and Y/n L/n moved to Lyon to continue their football careers. So, their relationship turned into a long distance relationship. 

The two lovers were sad about it, and the first two months were pretty hard to adjust to. However, they both moved to the same continent so it was easier to see each other during small breaks in their careers. Y/n made the effort to visit London to see Emily, even if it's only a day trip. Emily made the same efforts as well, coming to Lyon to watch Y/n play with their USWNT teammate Lindsey Horan whenever it's possible. 

You remembered the night in North Carolina when you cried to Emily about your career. For a while, you lost your passion and struggled to find a challenge in the sport. Everyone involved in the NWSL knew that you were one of the best left wingers out there. You moved to North Carolina from the Chicago Red Stars to see if the team was the problem, it wasn’t. 

Emily understands your feelings completely. She cried with you as well since your feelings with the sport related with hers.

The next day, Y/n’s agent told her that ​​Olympique Lyon wanted to offer her a contract. The girl’s jaw dropped at the news. Lyon is one of the most developed clubs in the world, in terms of women’s soccer. She knew Lindsey Horan, her friend and USWNT teammate, transferred there after a year long loan deal. Y/n accepted the offer, hoping that Lyon would give her the passion she wanted back. 

“Emily, I have to tell you something.” Y/n sat down beside Emily as she held her hands. The brunette swallowed in nervousness, wondering if her girlfriend saw the rumors about her on instagram. 

“I am transferring clubs–” Y/n confessed, before Emily had the chance to talk, the left winger cut her off. 

“Not a NWSL club.. Um.. I signed a contract and I’m moving to Europe—-France specifically.” Y/n frowned. She looked at Emily and saw a look… of relief?? 

“Em what's the matter?” Y/n questioned Emily’s expression.

“Nothing n/n. I was going to tell you this soon but maybe I'll tell you now too– but I am moving to Europe as well. A club offered me a contract and I signed a few days ago.” Emily confessed. 

Y/n raised her eyebrows, she knew Emily wanted to transfer clubs, but wondered which lucky club signed Emily. 

“Where?” Y/n asked. 

“England...well London to be exact.” Emily answered. Y/n smiled and the two girls embraced each other in a hug.

When Emily and Y/n played at Courage, many fans started to suspect that they’re a couple. Many WOSO fanpages shipped the duo due to their close proximity at events. The girls decided that they didn’t want to go public with their relationship until a few years in, since they’d be established enough to not let external factors affect them. 

As the two girls moved to Europe, they found their love for the sport back. Y/n fits into Lyon perfectly, being the highest goalscorer in France and in the Women’s Champions League. Emily is considered to be one of the best defenders in England since her transfer. The “rumors” about their relationship died down completely, but some fans do miss the duo at Courage.

Now it's March 2024, the USWNT faces off Brazil in the 2024 CONCACAF Gold Cup final. Y/n L/n and Emily Fox were both on the roster for the tournament which excited the couple. The couple excited the fans too, as Emily and Y/n’s pictures together during training practices excited the fanbase. 

At halftime, the score is up 1-0. Y/n’s Lyon teammate Lindsey Horan scores a header that gives the United States the lead. Emily started the match but Y/n didn’t, but the forward subbed on and replaced Trinity Rodman in the 61st minute. 

In the 79th minute, Emily fox gained possession of the ball after an error caused by a Brazilian midfielder. She passes the ball to Sophia Smith, seeing the striker in a nice path free from the opposition. 

Sophia Smith struggles with keeping control of the ball when she found contact with a Brazilian defender, so she looks forward seeing Y/n L/n onside and free to receive a pass. 

Y/n L/n is known for her dribbling and perfect finishes when she shoots from outside the box. The crowd knew this, so the screams got louder as y/n moved the ball to her left. She looks up to see that the Brazilian defender in front of her didn’t move quick enough at her move, so she goes to take a shot. 

The soccer ball goes up high in the air and curves, the Brazilian goalkeeper jumps up and the ball barely grazes her fingers before it lands in the net. Goal!

Y/n jumps in excitement before she runs to the corner of the pitch, the crowd erupts and y/n has her arms spread out in celebration. 

USWNT 2-0. 

The forward turned around and saw Lindsey Horan running to her, y/n jumped up on the blonde girl in excitement. The rest of the team on the pitch gathered around the girls as they’re guaranteed to win, unless Brazil had a miracle. 

As the group disbanded from the celebration, y/n saw her girlfriend who smiled brightly. Not caring about the amount of photographers that could capture the moment and the crowd as witnesses, the forward hugs the defender in a tight embrace. Emily accepted it, naturally putting her head on y/n’s shoulder for a few seconds before letting go and tapping her on the lower back in praise. 

Twenty minutes later, the game ended 2-0. The USWNT wins the first women’s CONCACAF Gold Cup. Y/n and Emily run and give each other a hug. Well, y/n jumped on Emily who held her as the two celebrated their win. This didn’t go unnoticed by fans and shippers. 

The team knew about their relationship, so they gave the girl’s their own moment before the whole team celebrated. This is before going up to receive the trophy and gold medals. 

Emily and Y/n stayed side by side the entire night. The idea of hiding their relationship wasn’t ideal to them anymore, now they wanted the world to know about their love.

Hello and welcome to the official "Everything's Not All Doom & Gloom" blog!

Everything's Not All Doom & Gloom, or Doom & Gloom for short, is a comic that I've been working on for 3 years now. Yesterday, at the time of making this, was its 3 year anniversary. It's anniversary date is June 11, 2021.

This blog is here to be a documentation of my progress and just to have fun!

Feel free to ask me anything related to Doom & Gloom.

This story IS intended for mature audiences. I'm not going to say 18+ because I am a minor writing this, so that'd be very hypocritical, I'd think. But it IS intended for a mature audience.

Story Synopsis:

Everything's Not All Doom & Gloom is the story of two boys growing up in their totally real and totally not made-up hometown of Loveland, North Carolina. One boy, a miserable, wannabe paranormal investigator, and the other, a mad scientist who wears his heart on his sleeve.

The two go on a journey of self-discovery, growth, and maturity. During the process, however, the two have experiences that are far more unusual than what other angsty teenagers have to go through. Experiences that combine both boy's niches and personal ails.

Current project: Episode 2- watch your back

The Nursery is a HORROR series. It includes themes of body dysmorphia, abuse, harm against children, suicide, trauma, cults, gore, body horror, death, extreme self-mutilation, and potentially paranoia- or psychosis-inducing themes of stalking, conspiracies and being watched. Frequent depictions of corpses, gore, rotting bodies, bugs, violence and jumpscares are to be expected. Several later scenes are modeled to imitate feelings of paranoia, post-traumatic stress disorder, and mental breakdowns.

Watch at your own risk.

1. Northwest Gulf of Mexico:

A large area of showers and thunderstorms continue in association

with a broad area of low pressure interacting with a weak frontal

boundary located over the northwestern Gulf of Mexico. Upper-level

winds are expected to become less conducive for development by late

Friday and Saturday as another frontal boundary approaches the

system. Although development is unlikely, heavy rainfall is

expected across portions of the northern Gulf Coast during the next

day or so. Additional information on this system can be found in

products issued by your local National Weather Service Forecast

Office.

* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.

* Formation chance through 7 days...low...10 percent.

2. Northwestern Atlantic (AL99):

Showers and thunderstorms have become better organized in

association with a non-tropical area of low pressure located a few

hundred miles east of North Carolina, and recent satellite data

indicates the system is producing winds to near gale-force. This

system could acquire some tropical or subtropical characteristics

over the next day or two while it moves generally

north-northeastward, remaining offshore of the northeastern United

States. Once the low moves over cooler waters by early Saturday,

further development is not expected. Additional information on this

system, including gale warnings, can be found in High Seas Forecasts

issued by the National Weather Service.

* Formation chance through 7 days...low...30 percent.

3. Eastern Tropical Atlantic:

An elongated trough of low pressure over the eastern tropical

Atlantic is producing limited shower activity. Development is not

expected through this weekend while the system moves little. Some

slow development appears possible early next week when the

disturbance begins moving slowly northwestward.

* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.

* Formation chance through 7 days...low...20 percent.

4. Northwestern Caribbean Sea and Southwestern Gulf of Mexico:

Shower and thunderstorm activity remains disorganized in

association with a westward-moving tropical wave located over the

western Caribbean Sea. Development is not expected before the

system reaches Belize and the Yucatan Peninsula by early Friday.

Some gradual development is possible late in the weekend into early

next week after the system emerges over the southwestern Gulf of

Mexico.

5. Central Tropical Atlantic:

Another tropical wave located a few hundred miles east of the

Leeward Islands is producing limited shower and thunderstorm

west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph. By early next week,

environmental conditions could become more conducive for some slow

development while the system moves over the southwestern Atlantic

Ocean.

Disability Pride Flag Spotted in the Wild: a syndicated News Verification site [?]

Saw the link a few days ago, searching for something else on DuckDuckGo, and accidentally clicked the "news" menu. That time, the link led me to an online TV news page out of some city in South Carolina. This time, the same titled link led to a news site out of Seattle Washington. So I think it's some fact-checking service that news outlets can subscribe to, rather than have a .dedicated member of staff.

Apparently, someone saw the 'debate' about whether Disability Pride Month is "Copying" LGBTQ Pride month, and asked about it. I'm chuffed that they're using our flag design, of course. but I'm even more chuffed that at least a couple of news outlets deem it relevant enough to verify it.

💖 What is your primary writing goal for this year?

write (and finish) more series, instead of just one offs. those requires less frequently published fics, but ones maybe with a little more thought and care.

👻 Is there a new genre you'd like to write?

i dont want to overextend, but uhh, maybe sci fi + ezra? i've been listening to Ghost Radio, the book that Pedro narrated and I am now achingly obsessed with his voice. And given that ezra is easily his chattiest character, i'm curious how to capture that tone.

But eventually, he shakes his head. “Look, I don’t know what you’re doing all the way out here, but this ain’t no place for a young lady out on her own, job or no job. Where’s your husband?” “Dead.” Your voice doesn’t waver, but then again, why would it?  The clerk’s eyes soften, if only slightly. “I see. But I’m sorry to say, there is no job here for you.” Your mouth instantly dries out. “What do you mean? Where’s Mr. Miller?” “He’s a mean ol’ sunuvbitch, in a place about twenty miles from here. Comes in twice a month for supplies and he’s back out into the prairie.” “I’m sorry, I don’t see why that’s a problem –,” “He ain’t fit for civilized life, ma’am.” The clerk drops his nose, eying you seriously over the rim of his black glasses. “Whatever he’s offering, you don’t want no part of it.”

           the   son   of   real   estate   and   banking   moguls   ,   daisuke   was   used   to   having   the   world   at   his   fingertips   .   raised   in   one   of   the   wealthiest   areas   of   tokyo   ,   daisuke   had   only   ever   attended   the   best   schools   and   grew   up   to   be   amongst   tokyo's   most   elite   ,   those   who   spend   their   time   at   the   ever   boring   operas   and   ballets   (   as   daisuke   saw   it   )   .   it's   during   a   charity   event   ,   hosted   by   a   friend   of   the   family   ,   when   daisuke   crosses   paths   with   the   beautiful   ballerina   that   stole   his   breath   from   the   moment   he   laid   eyes   on   her   .   daisuke   had   done   everything   to   speak   to   her   that   night   ,   not   allowing   himself   to   leave   until   he   had   gotten   a   chance   .   fumiko   was   initially   against   the   idea   of   dating   who's   name   carried   such   prestige   ,   but   it   didn't   take   long   for   the   two   to   fall   in   love   .

            to   describe   their   relationship   as   anything   other   than   a   whirlwind   would   be   a   vast   overstatement   .   in   six   short   months   ,   the   couple   is   engaged   ,   but   the   announcement   doesn't   come   without   scrutiny   .   daisuke's   parents   assume   fumiko   is   after   nothing   more   than   his   money   ,   while   fumiko's   parents   wonder   if   their   daughter   is   even   ready   to   be   married   into   one   of   tokyo's   wealthiest   families   .   it's   a   modern   day  telling   of   the   haves   and   the   have   nots   suddenly   thrown   together   ,   but   it's   evident   on   a   warm   spring   day   in   1995   that   neither   family   can   change   their   child's   mind   .   daisuke   and   fumiko   marry—   a   lavish   ceremony   that   one   could   say   rivaled   that   of   the   imperial   family   .   it   takes   some   time   for   their   families   to   come   to   term   with   her   union   ,   but   the   love   the   two   share   is   hard   to   ignore   .

           it's   during   the   winter   of   1998   that   the   couple   welcome   their   only   child   ,   a   daughter   that   they   name   seina   .   for   the   first   three   years   of   seina's   life   ,   the   couple's   relationship   appeared   to   be   perfect   ,   but   fumiko   had   been   wanting   out   for   a   long   time   .   she   had   given   up   her   career   shortly   after   her   marriage   to   daisuke   ,   and   as   much   as   she   wished   to   return   ,   having   a   child   (   in   her   eyes   )   didn't   help   her   at   all   .   it's   on   a   thursday   ,   only   a   few   days   after   seina's   third   birthday   ,   when   fumiko   suddenly   disappears   .   she   walks   out   of   the   front   door   of   the   family   home   with   only   a   suitcase   ,   leaving   behind   a   note   for   daisuke   and   seina   that   she'll   return   ...   someday   and   her   signature   already   swirled   elegantly   on   divorce   papers   .   for   one   long   year   ,   daisuke   attempts   to   find   his   wife   ,   but   seeing   himself   losing   time   with   his   daughter   makes   him   eventually   give   up   his   search   and   officially   divorce   from   fumiko   .

            as   seina   grows   ,   she   develops   a   love   for   her   mother's   passion   .   she's   five   when   she   begins   lessons   in   ballet   ,   and   it's   evident   that   she   developed   her   mother's   passion   as   well   .   despite   starting   a   bit   later   compared   to   her   peers   ,   seina   easily   grasps   onto   the   art   form   ,   and   it's   a   no   brainer   to   daisuke   to   see   his   daughter   continue   .   it's   when   she's   thirteen   that   seina   joins   abc   tokyo   ballet   company   ,   where   she   hones   in   her   skills   and   becomes   one   of   the   company's   best   .   at   fifteen   ,   seina   leaves   tokyo   to   study   at   the   royal   ballet   school   .   it's   during   her   time   here   that   her   father   meets   nishimura   tsuru   ,   a   woman   of   great   means   who   would   eventually   become   her   stepmother   .

            initially   ,   seina   is   against   the   idea   of   having   a   stepmother   ,   far   too   used   to   it   only   being   herself   and   her   father   .   she   formally   meets   tsuru   when   the   new   couple   comes   to   see   her   in   london   ,   and   despite   seina's   initial   reservations   ,   she   grows   to   like   tsuru   .   their   relationship   is   a   little   distant   due   to   seina   only   being   at   home   for   a   few   months   out   of   the   year   ,   but   as   the   years   passed   and   tsuru   asked   seina   to   be   one   of   her   bridesmaids   ,   their   relationship   grew   closer   .   tsuru   became   the   one   to   clap   the   loudest   after   her   performances   ,   to   start   standing   ovations   and   cheer   her   on   with   every   new   role   she   would   land   .

            after   graduating   from   the   royal   ballet   school   ,   seina   dances   with   the   royal   ballet   for   two   years   and   achieves   the   rank   of   first   soloist   .   during   her   time   at   the   royal   ballet   ,   she   dances   in   a   number   of   productions   ,   becoming   one   of   the   most   sought   after   ballerinas   of   her   time   .   seen   as   a   treasure   back   home   in   japan   ,   seina   becomes   the   face   of   various   food   /   drink   ,   retail   ,   and   skincare   brands   .   she   even   stars   in   a   few   commercials   for   apple   .   it's   after   two   years   with   the   royal   ballet   that   seina   leaves   the   royal   ballet   ,   landing   the   position   of   principal   ballerina   with   the   american   ballet   theatre   at   twenty   three   .

seina   has   been   with   the   american   ballet   theatre   for   two   years   now   ,   and   has   been   in   a   number   of   productions   since   then   .   to   see   what   productions   she's    been   in   professionally   ,   check   out   the   career   link   !

since   she   spent   eight   years   in   london   ,   she   has   a   slight   accent   when   speaking   english   .   it's   not   the   most   noticable   ,   but   it   comes   out   when   speaking   certain   words   .   

she   considers   tsuru   to   be   her   mom   ,   and   introduces   her   as   such   .   it   took   a   little   bit   of   time   ,   but   after   her   parents   had   been   together   for   a   few   years   ,   seina   began   to   call   her   mom   at   seventeen   .   daisuke   and   tsuru   never   had   children   of   their   own   .

she   has   a   close   relationship   with   her   father   ,   as   for   over   ten   years   ,   it   had   only   been   the   two   of   them   .   they   still   have   a   close   relationship   ,   even   with   daisuke   still   living   full   time   in   japan   .   seina   makes   it   her   mission   to   visit   her   parents   a   few   times   out   of   the   year   ,   typically   staying   at   least   two   weeks   or   more   depending   on   her   schedule   .

like   all   students   that   graduate   from   the   royal   ballet   school   ,   seina   holds   a   b.a.   in   classical   ballet   and   dance   performance   !

since   moving   to   new   york   ,   seina   lives   alone   on   the   upper   east   side   in   a   spacious   two   bedroom   condo   that   her   father   purchased   for   her   .

They're my Fireteam Crimson oc and some ancient notes from discord says they have the Recon surge helmet, Infiltrator python shoulders, Stalker chest, Twinplated forearms, RG63 counter prime legs, and Legendary visor.

I haven't changed them since making them, and yes the Recon helmet is partially due to Carolina
