First post in question

Man, I really need to start writing for the other fandoms again on this blog.

Ayaka must have been lucky, the only way to stave off S/O's habit of not sleeping was to be cuddled close into them.

Ayaka has zero issue in helping her S/O sleep, especially in such an intimate manner.

Though her face is flushing red, she still can't help but let her smile go ear to ear, hugging S/O close.

She nuzzles her head underneath their chin, listening to their heartbeat and not wanting to miss a single beat.

(Ayaka) "Good night, my love.~"

Clorinde can't help but hesitate whenever S/O gives her a hug, being unused to such intimacy.

But it doesn't take long for her to enjoy the feeling of their warmth, though her hands are usually gently caressing theirs instead of any grandiose display of affection.

And when she learned that S/O slept better when she held them, Clorinde decided that her embarrassment was a small price to pay for her love.

Making sure to not smother them they were comfortable, she lets their head rest on her chest as she sighs in content.

(Clorinde) "Sleep well, S/O. And...should you need me to move, please let me know."

Arlecchino usually had no trouble sleeping herself, but S/O did.

At first she was half tempted to wish them luck in falling asleep and leaving them be, but she wasn't that cruel.

She can't always be home for S/O to hold them, but she indulges them whenever she is, still unused to this kind of intimacy from...well, anyone.

Her grip is tight, as her blackened fingers ruffle the back of their head, holding them close to her.

(Arlecchino) "I cannot guarantee that your dreams will be entirely pleasant near me but...I wish you a good night regardless, S/O."

Shenhe nearly crushes S/O's ribcage when she learned that they slept better with her nearby.

The tighter she hugged, meant the better they slept, right?

She lets go and makes sure she didn't cut off their blood circulation and nods to herself.

Shenhe still holds S/O tight, but makes sure they could at least breathe. This was something she both enjoyed and had zero issue in helping.

(Shenhe) "Let me know immediately if you need to breathe."

Edelgard's hugging strength is pretty damn strong anyways, but especially at night.

The nightmares still haunt her even so many years later, and even as Emperor.

Yet, when S/O was so close, the nightmares ceased.

At least in private, Edelgard doesn't hesitate to hug S/O tightly, breathing easy.

For now, she could just enjoy this moment and not have to think about her duties. Just her lover.

(Edelgard) "...Thank you, S/O."

Dorothea is openly affectionate with everything, including hugs.

And it absolutely warmed her heart to know that even that simple act could make S/O sleep with ease.

Zero hesitation and worry, Dorothea gladly takes S/O into her arms as she lays down on the bed, humming a tune to herself in a psuedo-lullaby.

Though, she expects the same to be done for her. If she pampered S/O like this, then it's only right they did the same for their darling singer.

(Dorothea) "Good night, my dear.~"

Constance scoffs at any notion of such affection displayed so easily!

She absolutely was not embarrassed that S/O felt comfortable by her hugs, dispel that thought!

After all, such effects were only natural when receiving it from a Nuvelle!

Pompousness aside, the blush that creeps onto her cheeks are always burning bright whenever S/O falls asleep thanks to her hold, making her mutter something under her breath.

(Constance) "...I hope I'm at least comfortable for you, S/O...N-NOTHING! I SAID NOTHING! RETURN TO SLUMBER!"

Laura is always at risk of snapping S/O like a toothpick with her hugs, but luckily she knows how to control her strength.

It makes her heart skip a beat whenever S/O got close to her in general, but doubly so when they shared a bed.

And whenever she hugged them, it never failed to make her smile to see how quickly they fall asleep thanks to her.

Especially with how tightly she was being hugged as well.

(Laura) "Hm, sweet dreams, S/O."

Towa pouts for a moment since she was supposed to be the one providing the hugs, yet here she was, completely engulfed by S/O's arms.

She's hugging them as tightly as she can, yet she felt like it was nothing compared to S/O's own vice grip.

With her head barely coming up to their chest, she pouts to herself in the darkness.

(Towa) sigh "I feel like a teddy bear right now..."

Elliot is a little nervous sharing a bed with his S/O, especially knowing they struggled to sleep easily.

But it quickly fades when he notices that his presence helps them fall asleep, doubly so when he hugs them.

His cheeks warm up but he can't help but let out a soft chuckle and hugs them with his hesitation quickly rocketing away.

Making sure his hair wasn't getting into their face, Elliot holds S/O's waist closer to him, resting his head against theirs.

You know, I think it would be a gutwrenching headcanon for Dorothea to be the literal spitting image of her mother and the only unfortunate thing she got from her father would be her green eyes...

And I feel like it's even worse because Dorothea probably doesn’t have any memento of her mom (like a locket portrait) other than her surname to confirm for herself, but she would look at the mirror and the semblance vaguely shows itself (especially in the War Phase... Doro's mom was definitely just as worn out when that shithead threw her out with her daughter.), and the one thing she recalls from the deepest depths of her memory about the woman is that she doesn't have green eyes. They could only belong to a cruel man who was to blame for the suffering she's been through since her early years.

Black Eagles Found Family Stuff During Time-Skip Headcanons

Edelgard is referred to affectionately as the 'Mother Eagle' by the Black Eagles with how doting she can be.

Everyone knows that Hubert's awkward cases of showing affection come from his upbringing of needing to be a cold.

Dorothea comes up with lyrics about the Black Eagles and teaches them all.

---Whenever the BEs are down or worried they hum or sing the tune Dorothea taught them.

Linhardt may hate the sight of blood but he never complains about taking care of the BEs, unless they did something stupid.

Caspar and Ferdinand always knows when to check up on someone and cheer them up.

---And if they need cheering up they can rely on the BEs, even if some may be awkward with assistance (Edelgard & Hubert)

Petra loves to lead hunting expeditions, and encourages a Black Eagle or two to join her.

Ferdinand finds tending to horses relaxing, so he encourages any stressed BEs to join him in distressing through horse maintenance.

Bernadetta is now confident speaking around the BEs.

---She sews them matching embroidery eagles to pin to themselves.

Whenever Edelgard feels nauseous due to her Twin Crests she knows she needn't hide it with the BEs.

Hubert is designated chef of the BEs. Nobody complains.

Whenever she visits Brigid, Petra is thrilled to share her culture's clothes, trinkets, etc with the BEs.

They go on picnics whenever they can.

Upon learning of her Twin Crests and that her life is shortened Linhardt works tirelessly to find a cure with Hanneman's help.

Manuela is not afraid to call out if any BEs is being stupid or reckless.

Edelgard tells all the BEs to call her 'El' as they are her family.

Hubert keeps a watchful eye on any of Dorothea's suitors to ensure they don't even think about harming her.

Everyone agrees that Edelgard, Hubert, & Ferdinand are hopeless at naming anything (Black Eagles Strike Force, Twin Jewels, etc).

All of them know secret dialogue and hand signs to ensure each know whether the other is the original or a Slitherer posing as them.

When the war is over every year they celebrate the anniversary of its end with a picnic.

the girls of the black eagles (excluding bernadetta) are quite determined to get what they want, once they set their mind onto something! so once they develop a crush on you, they are set on winning you over

bernadetta is the only exception to that, as she's more in the background, but still quietly observes you like prey, learning all about you for when she eventually musters up the courage to approach you

meanwhile the boys of the black eagles (excluding linhardt) are quite competitive, so their competition over you becomes quickly obvious to everyone around you

only linhardt refuses to compete over you! instead, he simply approaches you whenever he pleases and tries to get alone time with you, instead of fighting over your attention with the other boys around

while there's an obvious rivalry between everyone, there are some alliances that are building. for one, hubert supports edelgard in her attempts to win you over, despite his own feelings for you

as is dorothea, who might want you for herself, but she's still being a good friend to edelgard and the other girls, by helping them out with you!

but while there are alliances, there are also duos that are especially competitive! for one, dorothea is extra competitive when ferdinand is trying to flirt with you!

caspar has a more of a friendly rivalry with linhardt, but still a rivalry nonetheless. he does want to bring out the competitive side of linhardt, so he'll be extra flirty with you when linhardt is around!

but no matter the alliances or competitive duos, the rivalry between the black eagles is one that drags out quite a while. so even after the five years apart, their feelings for you still haven't faded. and now they struggle to balance a war and their romantic life at the same time…

Some fe3h headcanons

Sylvain is some form of aroace/demiromantic.

He’s a flirt but in multiple supports it’s heavily implied that it’s an act. With Byleth he flat out says he ‘hates’ the women he flirts with.

Two of the stories we hear of him as a kid, the incidents with the scarecrow and Ingrid’s granny, both sound like someone trying to explore the limits of something they don’t understand. He probably saw the adults around him flirting and did it without understanding at first, but then it got him attention that wasn’t based on his crest so he kept it up. And later on her reputation was protecting him from a potential arranged marriage.

He has the fewest paired endings of any student. Two of those are his oldest and closest friends, and with Ingrid his feelings towards her clearly change in their A supports, as if romantic feelings for her only came about after a long and close relationship (demiromantic)

The other two are the people with the most in common with him. Both Mercedes and Dorothea have similar stories of objectification, And also they both have something to gain from the marriage. Sylvain and Mercedes both get people off their backs about arranged marriages and Dorothea gets someone to support her into old age.

And importantly both of these women are canonically bisexual, so it’s very possible that he could be acting as their “Beard” (a term for when two queer people get married to hide their relationships with other people of the same sex)

The main takeaway I got from his S support with Byleth was him swearing to never flirt again, which seems to be something that happens in all these endings. Possibly because he comes to understand and respect this part of him and that he doesn’t need that shield anymore.

I wish I had more to say about him and Felix because it’s my favorite but it’s also probably the closest thing to a debunk to this. Theirs is a pretty standard love story, two close childhood friends who drift apart because of circumstances and after overcoming their respective issues they come back together even stronger. They’re in love from day one and probably constantly fuck nasty. But that doesn’t necessarily exclude this theory.

Anyway Bernadetta is the least likely to join a polycule because she seems to value exclusivity and a form of endearment (best seen in her support with Caspar.)

@supershiny-raven and I decided to come up with some ideas on how a handful of characters would potentially smell/wear as perfume or cologne.

✧ :: Sylvain Jose Gautier

I feel like he’d definitely have a musky yet lavishing aroma. Like it’s masculine but very inviting, at the same time. In my head, I figured something such as orange blossoms and cedarwood (with maybe a hint of coconut) I like to hc that he’s got fluffy and loose locks, so most products would be coconut scented (modern-wise, at least) He’s obviously an erotic/flirtatious character. The more bitter/citrus part of his scent would complement that, and the sweeter bits would feel like a trance almost. It fits his character well, I think. He pleasantly draws people in with a lovingly, overwhelming aroma.

✧ :: Felix Hugo Fraldarius

I was a bit stuck on this because of the fact that he’d mostly smell like the training grounds, whetstones, or even weaponry; however, aside from those aspects, he might give off a spicy aroma. There’s probably a nature/airy base or something, but for the most part, he’d smell like a rosy bonfire. Like scandalwood, birchwood, amber, and moss. Perhaps cedarwood like Sylvain. I’d probably say scandalwood and birchwood though. Felix just feels like he’d have a bitter/spicy scent. Something that immediately grabs your attention, but not in an odd way. Its simply striking and sharp smelling. Exactly how he likes to keep his blades, along with his outer attitude too.

✧ :: Claude Von Riegan

I’m not sure why, but he was pretty hard to think of a scent for. I figured he’d smell spicy yet musky/mossy. Not legitimately spicy like Felix, but something with a kick to it, at least. My guess for this was apple spice, bergamot, and amber. I was also trying to take into consideration Almyra for his scent, but apple spice seemed to match the particular spiciness I was looking for. I wouldn’t doubt that there’s definitely a better substitute for him; however, I think this combination fits well. Its complex just like him.

✧ :: Byleth Eisner (Female)

Ray came up with this scent for Byleth. They felt like something clean/fresh yet sweet (such as fruity/floral) would fit her best. Perhaps a zen garden with a bit of a berry aroma (and even peonies) She seems like she’d smell like the monastery, honestly. Like her dorm is basically how she smells 24/7. With all of her students always gifting her lovely flowers, it makes complete sense for Byleth to give off a floral freshness or berry bliss.

✧ :: Edelgard Von Hresvelg

This was another one that was a tad difficult because of her pairings. I immediately wanted to give her a perfume that she might wear while out with a girlfriend or partner, in general, but I mostly considered her, for the most part. Because of that, I feel like she’d have a citrus scent with a bubbly sweetness to it. I was thinking something with lemon and lavender (maybe a few berries) Edelgard seems like she’d have a crisp yet bitter citrus smell to her, blended together with a floral/berry sweetness. She’s fierce yet cute all in one.

✧ :: Ferdinand Von Aegir

Okay, listen, here me out…but Ferdinand is definitely someone who’s ordering a pumpkin spice latte during the fall. I’m not sure what else to say aside from that about him because he’d absolutely smell like pumpkin spice with a nice bergamot and cedarwood accent. He’d have a sweet spicy smell to him. Like a peaceful tea time or something. He’d just smell very noblest/elegant. Because he’s Ferdinand Von Aegir, of course.

✧ :: Dorothea Arnault

I made her scent similar to Sylvain’s with the whole flirty/lovely aromas, but unlike Sylvain, Dorothea doesn’t need to entice people with her beauty. The people come to her initially. Like a love spell or entrancement. She’d smell downright luxurious and sweet (with floral hints for sure) Dorothea gives off blossoms and orchids aromas. She smells like an entire bouquet, basically, and everyone is just drawn to the flowery scent. She is the pique definition of beauty.

Ray made this one too. They were mostly thinking of his post-war designs/life as the King of Faerghus. It was concluded that Dimitri would probably smell more mature perhaps. Similar to Byleth, he’d just smell like his palace mostly, which seems welcoming yet classy. Like warm leather, vanilla, and blackberry. I can picture him wearing colors such as the ones in his post-timeskip designs with a pleasant warm aroma. It’s refreshing into a new beginning for Faerghus.

Edelgard Birthdays Headcanons:

In celebration of Edelgard's birthday~:

For the siblings it either means teasing her height more or teasing her less.

She can eat all the sweets she wants! Yay!

--Will unsurprisingly become sick as a result.

If she's been in the dungeon for some time then a sibling uses some mud they find in a prison to make her a literal mud cake to celebrate.

--They don't know if it is her birthday, but it is to cheer her up.

Upon her siblings' death she stopped publicly announcing and publicly celebrating her birthday.

Most of her siblings' gifts have been destroyed during the Insurrection of Seven.

The gifts that survived are in her room... but she doesn't remember who gave her what and what year due to her PTSD.

When it's her birthday during the Academy she simply celebrates alone, to reflect on how she survived when her siblings did not.

--But somehow (Hubert likely leaked it) all the Black Eagles find out and throw her a party.

----She is touched by this (but thinks herself undeserving with what will happen in the future).

Ferdinand tried baking the greatest cake ever. He failed.

Bernadetta made a cake. She succeeded.

Hubert organised the party. Naturally.

Petra cooked some Brigidan dishes.

Caspar carried gifts when they all went shopping presents for her.

Linhardt helped... by carrying the lightest load.

Dorothea sings 'Happy Birthday' with operatic flare.

As the years go on her friends still throw her birthdays (just between family).

--Every single gift she receives from them she keeps in her room.

Her family may be gone, but she has a newfound family with the Black Eagles.

The day they say 'Happy Birthday El' is one that sticks with her forever.

For Azure Moon, Verdant Wind, & Silver Snow she notes how the latest birthday is seeing less and less Black Eagles...

If she survived as the hegemon a year later she realises that this is the first birthday that she is completely alone.

In Scarlet Blaze and Golden Wildfire, Shez spilled to Claude it is her birthday. He actually got her a well-meaning gift.

--And naturally teased her height.

summary: dorothea likes you, but her feelings for edelgard and her alliance with the black eagles make the relationship between you two complicated

dorothea always had a little crush on edelgard, but when she met you, she thought she might've found someone to distract her from her feelings

the more time dorothea spent with you, the more genuine her feelings for you became and the less she thought about edelgard

though just when everything seemed to be going so well between you two, edelgard got between the two of you, with something neither of you could've expected

edelgard declared war and since dorothea, as well as the rest of the black eagles, fought on her side, dorothea suddenly became your enemy

for a few years, neither of you saw each other, as you remained with your house, while dorothea stayed with hers

though it was only a matter of time until you'd meet dorothea again…

the day the two of you reunited a grand battle was happening

you purposefully sought dorothea out, desperate to talk to her! 

it had been years since you last saw each other and you knew things had changed, but you refused to give up on her!

when you spotted her, she was fighting alongside edelgard, the two of them having each others back and being perfectly in sync

dorothea spotted you shortly after, your eyes meeting one another, until she turned towards edelgard again

and suddenly you realized that you couldn't compete with edelgard

perhaps you never really stood a chance against her and dorothea had always liked her more

but you didn't get the chance to ask her, instead retreating to your own team, swearing to yourself that you'd forget about dorothea!
