(Genshin Impact/ToCS) Their S/O waking up from a "Nightmare"

Genshin: Navia, Furina Cold Steel: Towa, Elliot, Duvalie, Juna, and Laura

I've been replaying CS3 and needed to write for the gang. Plus it's been a while since they've shown up.

Navia's eyes slowly blink open when she hears her name called out.

(Navia) "Hm...S/O?"

The drowsiness immediately fades when she realizes the face on her lover, frowning and clenching the basket with a cold sweat.

(Navia) "H-Hey! S/O!-"

When she gently shakes them awake, S/O bolts upright, breathing heavily as they realized whatever was happening was only a dream, their sight then resting on a concerned Navia.

(Navia) "Are you okay...?"

She had nightmares before, though she didn't have anyone to comfort her last time. The last thing she wanted was for them to go through the-

(S/O) "Thank the Archons, you're...not a worm!"

...What?

(Navia) "I...Huh?"

(S/O) "It was awful! We were being invaded by worms, and they had some kind of gun that turned everyone into one! But you still had your hat and umbrella, and I was treating you as if it didn't change anything!"

(Navia) "...Pffft!"

Navia began snickering, laughing even harder at their pout.

(Navia) "Let's just go back to sleep dear. And I'm glad you'd love me, even if I was a worm-"

(S/O) "Just don't tease me about it..."

Glad that it was nothing serious, Navia giggles herself to sleep in no time.

Furina is woken up when S/O yelps, immediately kicking in her fight or flight instincts.

(Furina) "HUH?! WHAT'S GOING ON?!"

(S/O) "F-Furina...!"

Her eyes glanced over to them, and she saw tears welling up in the corners of their eyes.

Oh...a nightmare?

(Furina) "S/O, is everything okay?-"

(S/O) "It was a dream...Y-Yeah, that'd make sense. I don't think you'd sing that great if you were a seahorse."

(Furina) "Was...it a nightmare you were having?"

S/O shook their head, wiping the tears out as they laid down next to Furina.

(S/O) "Kinda? At first it was really scary having all of our friends turn into aquatic life, but then it became a musical. You became a seahorse and I was a crab...Plus there was a shark, and he was SUPER scary..."

Furina relaxed back into the bed, her hand intertwining with S/O's.

(Furina) "Did I sing well at least?"

(S/O) "That's why I was crying, actually. Your voice was really pretty."

She blushed at that, but couldn't fully get flustered from the image of singing as a seahorse.

(Furina) "Hm, well naturally.~"

Towa was in the middle of writing some reports in her desk when S/O murmured her name.

The instructor turned around, her smile quickly vanishing when she saw that they were continuing to toss and turn in their sleep.

She instantly knew what was happening, dropping her pen and rushing over to their side.

(Towa) "S/O! Wake up...!"

S/O was shaken lightly by Towa, their eyes slowly opening and landing on Towa, her anxiety growing by the second.

(S/O) "Towa! Oh, thank the goddess-"

She was immediately taken into a hug, one she reciprocated without hesitation.

(Towa) "Don't worry...I'm here..."

(S/O) "You're not tall anymore!"

Her eyes immediately shot open, her brows furrowed angrily.

(Towa) "What."

(S/O) "It was so weird and scary! You were the tallest one in the room and-"

Towa dropped S/O back onto the bed, now pouting and grumbling under her breath.

Elliot yawns when he is shaken awake, rubbing one eye as he shifted onto his side.

(Elliot) "Hm? S/O, are you awak-"

Feeling S/O's hand on his chest, it doesn't take long for him to fully wake up, especially when he feels them hug him so quickly.

(Elliot) "Oh...Was it a bad dream?"

(S/O) "Elliot!...You're still you, thank goodness."

Feeling a kiss against his cheek, he can't help but feel a little sad. Just what exactly did they-?

(S/O) "You were so buffed and ripped that it scared the hell out of me!"

Any sense of sadness he felt vanished in an instant, replaced with confusion.

(Elliot) "That...scared you?"

(S/O) "Yeah! You're so handsome and cute as you are now, and you were built like Panzer Soldat!"

He burst into laughter at the comparison, though he didn't know exactly how to feel that S/O didn't want them built like his dad.

(Elliot) "I...guess I'm glad it wasn't anything serious?-"

(S/O) "It was serious!"

Duvalie is instantly awake due to her training, thinking at first that they were under attack.

Seeing S/O move in the darkness of the room gets her to relax...until she heard them.

(S/O) "Duvalie...No...!-"

Her expression grows soft as she rushes back into the bed next to them, being careful to not startle them as she grabbed their shoulders.

(Duvalie) "Come on, wake up...It's just a dream."

When they finally wake up, Duvalie holds their hands firmly, giving them an anchor to wake up.

(S/O) "Nggh...Duvalie?-"

(Duvalie) "I'm here. I'm here..."

S/O lets Duvalie hold them, just hearing her take a deep breath in response.

(Duvalie) "...Nightmare?"

(S/O) "Kinda? You were really scary..."

Duvalie's grip on them tightens, her gaze turning away and staring into the floor.

(Duvalie) "...I see-"

(S/O) "-You were super tiny and yet your voice was super loud, like you were shouting at the volume of a cannon-"

And now her grip almost crushed their shoulders as she quietly yelled at them-

(Duvalie) "T-That's not a nightmare, moron!"

(S/O) "L-Like that!-"

She goes back to bed, immediately yanking the blanket away from them in a huff.

Juna walked into S/O's room, about to ask them something about tomorrow's class before seeing S/O asleep on their couch.

That sight should have brought a smile to her, but instead she was suddenly filled with dread, seeing their grimace as they were sprawled out on the couch.

Juna sprinted over to them, immediately feeling their forehead to make sure they weren't sick or worse.

(Juna) "Hey, S/O?! Are you okay, what's happening?!"

Hearing Juna's voice stirred them from their slumber, reaching for their head as they sat up.

(S/O) "Juna?"

(Juna) "Are you hurt?!"

(S/O) "No! No, just a bad dream."

She wasn't entirely surprised. Their past field studies had been stressful, to say the least. But still, they should have at least told her-

(S/O) "There was a giant Mishy terorrizing the town...It had laser eyes and it beat the crap out of Instructor Rean..."

(Juna) "..."

Juna had an urge to hit S/O for making her worry over nothing, but it was primarily replaced by laughter.

She rolled her eyes as she sat next to them.

(Juna) "Bad dream? Sounds like a good one! Plus, Mishy would never hurt anyone like that!"

(S/O) "Hah, true...I think I was looking at that image of you and your family and it got me thinking of Mishy."

(Juna) "So how's giant death laser Mishy the first thing that comes to mind?"

(S/O) "D-Don't ask me!"

Laura felt S/O's leg hit her own, making her turn her head over on the pillow.

(Laura) "S/O. Are you awake...?-"

Hearing them mutter gave Laura her answer, making her shift and lay a hand on their face, gently patting them awake.

S/O awoke to Laura cupping their face, a small smile forming.

(Laura) "My apologies, I felt you shifting and thought you were having a bad dream."

(S/O) "I was...I thought I lost you-"

Laura took them into a hug without hesitation.

(Laura) "Don't worry, I'm right here with you-"

(S/O) "Ah, n-no as in, I thought you left me behind. There was this HUGE maze and you just went ahead of me. It was really creepy!"

Laura eased up on her hug, blushing ever so slightly that she jumped the gun and assumed.

...And yet, it made her chuckle all the same.

(Laura) 'Hm, that does rather sound like me."

(S/O) "Sorry, I didn't mean to worry you like that-"

(Laura) "As long as you are okay, then I do not mind. Let's return to bed, shall we?"

Hugging their S/O to sleep

Genshin Impact: Ayaka, Clorinde, Arlecchino, Shenhe FE3H: Edelgard, Dorothea, Constance ToCS: Laura, Towa, Elliot

First post in question

Man, I really need to start writing for the other fandoms again on this blog.

Ayaka must have been lucky, the only way to stave off S/O's habit of not sleeping was to be cuddled close into them.

Ayaka has zero issue in helping her S/O sleep, especially in such an intimate manner.

Though her face is flushing red, she still can't help but let her smile go ear to ear, hugging S/O close.

She nuzzles her head underneath their chin, listening to their heartbeat and not wanting to miss a single beat.

(Ayaka) "Good night, my love.~"

Clorinde can't help but hesitate whenever S/O gives her a hug, being unused to such intimacy.

But it doesn't take long for her to enjoy the feeling of their warmth, though her hands are usually gently caressing theirs instead of any grandiose display of affection.

And when she learned that S/O slept better when she held them, Clorinde decided that her embarrassment was a small price to pay for her love.

Making sure to not smother them they were comfortable, she lets their head rest on her chest as she sighs in content.

(Clorinde) "Sleep well, S/O. And...should you need me to move, please let me know."

Arlecchino usually had no trouble sleeping herself, but S/O did.

At first she was half tempted to wish them luck in falling asleep and leaving them be, but she wasn't that cruel.

Usually.

She can't always be home for S/O to hold them, but she indulges them whenever she is, still unused to this kind of intimacy from...well, anyone.

Her grip is tight, as her blackened fingers ruffle the back of their head, holding them close to her.

(Arlecchino) "I cannot guarantee that your dreams will be entirely pleasant near me but...I wish you a good night regardless, S/O."

Shenhe nearly crushes S/O's ribcage when she learned that they slept better with her nearby.

The tighter she hugged, meant the better they slept, right?

She lets go and makes sure she didn't cut off their blood circulation and nods to herself.

Shenhe still holds S/O tight, but makes sure they could at least breathe. This was something she both enjoyed and had zero issue in helping.

(Shenhe) "Let me know immediately if you need to breathe."

Edelgard's hugging strength is pretty damn strong anyways, but especially at night.

The nightmares still haunt her even so many years later, and even as Emperor.

Yet, when S/O was so close, the nightmares ceased.

At least in private, Edelgard doesn't hesitate to hug S/O tightly, breathing easy.

For now, she could just enjoy this moment and not have to think about her duties. Just her lover.

(Edelgard) "...Thank you, S/O."

Dorothea is openly affectionate with everything, including hugs.

And it absolutely warmed her heart to know that even that simple act could make S/O sleep with ease.

Zero hesitation and worry, Dorothea gladly takes S/O into her arms as she lays down on the bed, humming a tune to herself in a psuedo-lullaby.

Though, she expects the same to be done for her. If she pampered S/O like this, then it's only right they did the same for their darling singer.

(Dorothea) "Good night, my dear.~"

Constance scoffs at any notion of such affection displayed so easily!

She absolutely was not embarrassed that S/O felt comfortable by her hugs, dispel that thought!

After all, such effects were only natural when receiving it from a Nuvelle!

Pompousness aside, the blush that creeps onto her cheeks are always burning bright whenever S/O falls asleep thanks to her hold, making her mutter something under her breath.

(Constance) "...I hope I'm at least comfortable for you, S/O...N-NOTHING! I SAID NOTHING! RETURN TO SLUMBER!"

Laura is always at risk of snapping S/O like a toothpick with her hugs, but luckily she knows how to control her strength.

It makes her heart skip a beat whenever S/O got close to her in general, but doubly so when they shared a bed.

And whenever she hugged them, it never failed to make her smile to see how quickly they fall asleep thanks to her.

Especially with how tightly she was being hugged as well.

(Laura) "Hm, sweet dreams, S/O."

Towa pouts for a moment since she was supposed to be the one providing the hugs, yet here she was, completely engulfed by S/O's arms.

She's hugging them as tightly as she can, yet she felt like it was nothing compared to S/O's own vice grip.

With her head barely coming up to their chest, she pouts to herself in the darkness.

(Towa) sigh "I feel like a teddy bear right now..."

Elliot is a little nervous sharing a bed with his S/O, especially knowing they struggled to sleep easily.

But it quickly fades when he notices that his presence helps them fall asleep, doubly so when he hugs them.

His cheeks warm up but he can't help but let out a soft chuckle and hugs them with his hesitation quickly rocketing away.

Making sure his hair wasn't getting into their face, Elliot holds S/O's waist closer to him, resting his head against theirs.

(Elliot) "You're really cute, S/O..."
