When Fallout Characters Fall In Love... (Fallout Show Request)

Pairings: Cooper Howard/The Ghoul x Reader, Maximus x Reader, Norm x Reader

Author's Note: Thank you to everyone who has sent in a request for the Fallout show, please keep them coming as this is definitely the show that I'm thinking about the most at the moment! Also let me know if you want a part two of these headcanons or something similar :)

The Ghoul:

- Cooper Howard couldn't put his finger on exactly when he had accepted that the life he now led would be one devoid of love, but it was a hollow feeling he carried in his chest wherever the wasteland took him. Maybe it was in the decades he'd spent wandering and gaining a reputation as a heartless cowboy without an ounce of mercy. Or the fact that he hadn't met anyone that had stirred up a single emotion inside him, fearing the aching betrayal of his wife would haunt him even as lifetimes passed. Maybe it came to him in the way he flinched each time he caught his reflection in the few unbroken windows he passed, flesh slowly forming caverns and creases where once there were only the faintest of lines that showed endless signs of life. The wasteland was no place for love. That's what he had decided.

- But even in the fall of civilization there's room for a surprise, and you were certainly one of those..

- He heard rumour of you before your bounty crossed his desk, a runaway scientist from a mysterious body known only as The Institute, a target to everyone for the sheer volume of classified knowledge you might possess.

- A life on the run was no easy one, and Cooper knew that better than anyone, so it didn't take long for him to track you down to a small town just on the outskirts of the radiation's no man's land. His gun was cocked as he strutted towards the half open door of the rundown house he'd narrowed your location down to, glancing at the poster in his hand one last time before he burst inside. Even from the poorly illustrated version of you, he could see your eyes were kind, almost hopeful, like you still believed science could make right what had gone so wrong in the last 200 years. He almost felt a tinge of guilt as he steeled himself for a fight, saying a silent prayer that you wouldn't be behind the walls in front of him.

- Stepping in carefully he expected traps, or an army of robots to jump to arms, but instead he found you travelling alone, a small satchel of papers clutched in your arms as you stared him down with a calm resolve that caught him more off guard than any weapon.

"Do you still believe there's hope for this world Mr Howard?" Your voice was soft, not the trembling fear he was so used to hearing. You stared up at him without a trace of disgust in your expression, your eyes locked on his as he considered your question, and then lowered his weapon.

"And what if I do?" His heart ached at the question, so hardened by years of cynicism that even the idea of hope and goodness were almost too heavy to bear. He felt more human than he had in years as you slowly inched towards him, the creaking floorboards beneath you cutting through a tense silence that had The Ghoul feeling like he was back on a movie set, everything so perfectly orchestrated to have his stomach in knots. And then you extended your hand to him and gave him the most genuine smile he could remember receiving in this whole sorry chapter of his after-life,

"Then I think we could really make a difference. Together." Your pip-boy screeched as his irradiated hand stretched out to reach yours, but you didn't flinch, gently squeezing the twisted flesh as you shook on what you bought felt in the depths of your souls was going to be a meaningful partnership.

- It would be a straight forward life trying to use your research to get the world back on track for there to be joy and peace again. But with The Ghoul by your side you can expect; a personal bodyguard who cares more about your safety than his own by far, a gleaming look of pride in his eyes any time you tell him which Cooper Howard film was your favourite, the slow and steady acceptance that he is still worthy of love even in his new twisted form, and Cooper being endlessly grateful that you are the person who wants to give that love to him.

Maximus:

- All Maximus had ever wanted was to be a knight of the Brotherhood. He wakes up every morning and does his best every day just to try and earn his spot in this family of welded metal and unflinching loyalty. It wasn't until you arrived on the base that he started to realise there were other ways he might form a family.

- A nearby village had been half destroyed by raiders until the Brotherhood stepped in, clearing out the violent scavengers and bringing anyone with skills they could utilise back to base for assessment. Maximus was sitting alone, nursing the most recent wounds inflicted by his so-called brothers when he watched you march in alongside two soldiers, the final evacuee of your faded community, a distance in your eyes that he felt akin with from his own home's destruction. You could feel his eyes on you before you spotted him, a rag damp with blood pressed to his nose as he sat huddled against a corrugated iron shack.

- Despite the sheer joylessness of the situation, Max couldn't stop himself from sporting a smile, waving at you like you had locked eyes across the schoolyard not some barren military base. Whatever he hoped for in that moment seemed to pay off as you waved back, a small laugh escaping your lips at the absurdity of his blood soaked grin. He watched as the knights around you escorted you to the medical tent for a check up, waiting until they left their guard posts beside you to sneak behind the off-white fabric, following some unknown instinct he'd never felt call to him before. You bolted upright where you perched on one of the medical beds as he appeared, visibly relaxing when you recognised him from outside and once again waving in his direction. His mouth worked faster than his brain in that moment, heart hammering in his chest as the words gushed out with his new found affections,

"I used to live in Shady Sands. I know what it's like to have your home destroyed, your family hurt, everything changing all at once. But you're safe here with the Brotherhood, and even if it doesn't feel like it today, things are going to be okay eventually. Also I'm Maximus and if you ever need to talk to someone, I'm, like, around all the time, and no one else really wants to talk to me so I'm probably going to be available... " He trailed off as he tried to recover what had ended up a far more embarrassing sentence than he'd hoped, his lungs burning as he realised he'd forgotten to take a breath through his whole winding spiel. But when you smiled at him any shame seemed to float away, and as you patted the bed and nodded for him to take a seat beside you, the once lonely squire suddenly felt much closer to finding a family than he had surrounded by his brothers.

- As you settle into life on the base, you and Maximus only grow closer. Expect; late nights of sneaking out of your dorm so you and Max can stare up the stars and plot your escape from this life, fantasising about what a life beyond these walls and this world could be like for the two of you, someone who has your back no matter how bad things get and how low you feel, and truly some of the most god awful flirting you will ever hear.

Norm:

- Growing up in the Vault, Norm had always been told the value of belonging to a community, and how everyone in the vault was just a big happy family. But none of that stopped Norm feeling like an outsider, like he didn't quite operate on the same wavelength as the rest of the cheerful strangers he shared his deep underground walls with. After a few of the annual exchanges between vaults, he had all but given up on hoping to meet anyone he felt he could actually feel close to.

- When his overseer father had finally decided it was his turn to continue the vault's legacy and be part of what Norm considered an archaic tradition of arranged marriages between the linked vaults, Norm couldn't have been more resistant. He pleaded for the council to reject his nomination, begging them not to force some young hopeful to be subjected to his notable lack of enthusiasm for the rest of their life in this dutiful swap, but with limited options of eligible young men, he soon found himself staring down the doors of your vault. The suit previously used by his fellow bachelors had been tailored to within an inch of its life to try and fit his slight frame, the shoulders still feeling like they hung off him, threatening to swallow him up along with ground as he watched the round door slowly start to roll open.

- He thought this whole thing was stupid and outdated, and he knew there was no way he could actually find someone to love and love him in return behind those doors, so why was his stomach so full of butterflies as slowly your face started to appear in the artificial light of Vault 33. He waited to see you throw him a false smile, going through the motions as much as he had planned to, or even a look of disappointment that he was not the man you had been picturing as the door crept open. Instead he really thought he saw sincerity in your eyes, a thoughtful understanding as he choked out his name, his stammering not going unnoticed by his sister who quietly chuckled behind him.

"It's really nice to meet you, Norm." You spoke each word with intention, like it wasn't just a rehearsed greeting but an honest confession that sent sparks flying in the air between you.

- Suddenly the pressure of matrimony didn't feel so all consuming. And maybe this system was more advanced than he had appreciated. And there might be a small chance that he wasn't destined to spend his life feeling like he was on the outside, that he might finally have someone that could take him as he is, darkness and light, for better or for worse.

- Whether you stay in the vaults, or make your move to the surface world, with Norm by your side you can expect: Sarcastic comments muttered under his breath at inopportune moments just to see the way you fail to contain your laughter, being the sounding board for all of each other's thoughts and feelings no matter how serious or silly they might be, Norm clinging to your side through everything knowing that he only feels himself when he's stood in your light, and being the one person Norm would do absolutely anything for, bringing out the bravery and intelligence that was always just below the surface of this sweet man.

Dealing with the Stank

Okay, so- I had this idea cooking in my head for a little while and decided I might as well share my thoughts as part of a little treat!

After reading "Dog and Phony Show", I began questioning why the show never alluded to Randy getting stanked- of course, this is likely only due to him being the main character, but in context of the canon - this is quite an interesting thing to not have included within the show. Do Ninjas simply not get stanked because the suit is protecting them? Of course, there's also the fact

Stanked! Randy Headcanons

So, genuinely this whole thing happens because Randy either gets distressingly overwhelmed with being the Ninja OR it has to do with a ridiculous feeling of inferiority- (think something like what happened during the whole Lucius O' Thunderpunch fiasco, but you know, if it had done a little more realistically)

He does try to fight off the stank, but ultimately the Sorcerer manages to take over and Randy remembers briefly blacking out before ‘waking up’ in a daze- of course, he doesn’t have the foggiest what’s happening and feels this overwhelming urge to break free, and run… so he bursts out of wherever he’s in

I do view Randy as being this quadrupedal creature and has this fluffy mane but okay- first things first…

Stanked! Randy Headcanons

🧣 Randy would be themed either after an oriental dragon, a lion of sorts, or even… some sort of cheetah-looking creature. For some reason, this just makes sense to me-

🧣 He's going to be fast and that makes him harder to catch, but at the same time- I feel he might be slightly uncoordinated, letting himself be governed by present emotions

🧣 Randy will have purple somewhere on his stanked form- at least to make sure that it's him and not someone else. If I remember correctly, Dog and Phony Show had it as a mane and I think it would be a pretty cool feature to have!

🧣 I also feel that Randy isn't going to be easy to be destanked, but he also did attempt to resist- purely because he knows that as the Ninja, him getting overpowered by the Sorcerer is not ideal

🧣 He obviously doesn't have any of his powers as the Ninja- apart from being agile and lithe

Additional Thoughts + Analysis

If we're speaking on the angle of him getting stanked because of being overwhelmed, and that is putting it mildly, I imagine he's just full of anger and frustration which means the only way to destank him is by convincing the boy what he's doing is important- that he's capable, that he's a good Ninja. I honestly think that if the show were done for a more serious angle, he would be a little bound by the mantle he carries.

At some point, he reaches breaking point- feeling he can't juggle his own career, so to speak, as the Ninja and his own life as a high schooler which is what leads to his own 'demise' so to speak. In doing so, probably the only people who have the power to reverse the stank are Howard and Theresa for reasons to say the least- one being more obvious than the other.

As a bonus! This idea was cowritten between myself and a lovely mutual of mine @just-animaxiz featuring a non-canon take on "Into the Ninjaverse" - in an alternate reality where Spike, the leader of the punk bots, is the Ninja and Randy's a regular human... our favorite boy deals with a certain ahems loss to keep from spoiling the story too much. Overcome by grief, he falls pawn to the Sorcerer and goes on a violent rampage to the point he nearly ends McFist. This AU of course, is a lot deeper but I'd hate to ruin the fun so early.

Out of curiosity, and a quick show of hands- would anyone be interested in me writing a fic where Randy's stanked?

I might honestly do both versions- the one where he's stanked in a canon divergent timeline, and one for my beloved (/p) mutual.

AVENGERS ASSEMBLE VS MCU - the post.

We’re going to compare both universes :), so buckle up and get ready bc this is gonna be a wild ride.

( this isn’t my way to try and point which one is better, I love them both, but it’s my opinion )

1- THE AVENGERS.

MCU’s avengers are full of angst. I think their film has the biggest joke count, but they spend like 80% of the saga arguing, which, I gotta admit, makes better their bonding moments, but still.

Steve’s the leader.

AA’s avengers are the dream team. They do not work together anymore but they assemble one more time to save their friend ( because that’s what they are, friends ) and then keep working together. They know each other, they understand how everyone works and are practically a well-oiled machine.

Tony is the leader.

MCU’s Avengers work together because they need to, AA’s because they want to, and it shows in the team dynamics.

2- STEVE AND TECH/PAST

Both Steves are old men, so we obviously can’t expect them to be as skilled with technology as anyone who was born after the eighties.

MCU’s Steve lives in the past. He tries to adapt to the future but we can’t see him actually trying to live there. When he has the chance to go live with Peggy in the 50s, he takes it. We don’t know if he gave it much thought, but he spent years in the twentieth century and he still couldn’t find a single reason to stay.

( Natasha and Tony were dead, but he still had Buck, Sam, Clint, Thor, Bruce Sharon, Peter P, the rest of the avengers… )

When AA’s Steve was given the opportunity to return to the Second World War with Peggy, he realised that his life was now there.

He was used to searching on the internet, and holograms, and murderous robots, and phone calls, and spaceships and else. He was used to the avengers, to having a team. A family.

And he knew he couldn’t give that up.

He wants to honor his past, not live in it.

As OP said in her post: people like to forget that modern technology is really intuitive, and Steve shouldn’t have that much trouble using it.

Pd: in AA there’s a scene in which Tony promises Steve to help him understand technology, one step at a time without it being overwhelming, if he teaches him how to be a little more “Analog”.

I’m not saying either of them ( Steves ) loves technology, but only one of them introduces it into his life and is eager to learn about it even if it’s hard for him.

3- HOWARD STARK

I wanted to talk about it given that in both universes Howard has appeared and/or has been talked about by Tony.

Neither AA nor MCU had me satisfied with this point.

⛔️( TW: alcoholism, parent abuse, underage drinking until after the green light )⛔️

Howard Stark is known to be a shitty dad in every universe. In the comics, he verbally and physically abused Tony and because of that he turned his back to people, because they, unlike machines, were too unpredictable. He forced him to drink alcohol from a young age, he tried to trade him to Dracula for immortality, he fought him in hell, he sent him to a boarding school because he wasn’t “man enough” and there are many fucking more.

Both Tonys have trouble with self-worth, building relationships, talking his problems, showing weakness and are always trying to make themselves necessary, and whose fault is that? Exactly. ✳️

They spent years resenting Howard for everything he did and everything he was not ( a caring, supportive, DECENT parent ) ( which they had all the right to do ), and still they tried to live up to his expectations. Even dead he was still making them feel not enough.

He always compared them to Steve Rogers, the perfect soldier and the perfect man, which made Tony resent Steve too when he met him.

What does this prove? Resentment is corrosive ( see what I did there? ) and Tony had no reason to love Howard! He only felt bad, insecure and unsafe around him, and all he makes him feel before and after his death was self-loath and resentment.

Maybe AA and MCU’s Howard didn’t do all that, but the series/films still showed that he wasn’t a good father either.

MCU’s Howard told Tony in endgame he already loved his son even if he hadn’t even been born yet. [ literal words: Let me tell you, that kid’s not even here yet, and there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for him ] This initially comes as sweet, right? Because he loved Tony.

But when you think about it, this means that Tony didn’t live up to his expectations, like it was his fault his father didn’t like/love him and he failed even if he didn’t do anything. He literally said he loved him more when he wasn’t there than when he was. He told him he did something wrong, when all he was doing was be himself.

No wonder he has self-esteem issues.

He didn’t do anything for him, except filling him up with trauma.

Both Howards said that Tony was their greatest creation. ( MCU’s a few moments after neglecting him and make him feel like a nuisance ), as if the way Tony turned out ( a good, intelligent, caring man ) had anything to do with him. He turned out that way TO NOT BE like him. Because all the shit he had to go through made him care.

He was never there for Tony, he TAPED himself doing fatherly-things instead of teaching them to his own son personally ( okay, he died, but Tony was like 17 when he did, he had the time, he just didn’t spend it with him ) [ https://smthgavengersassemble.tumblr.com/post/160060510540 ]

And when Steve talks about them in both universes, he does it as if he were a hero and Tony had to make him proud. AND TONY AGREES.

THE AUDACITY!

When they met him as their adult-selves, they hugged him and had conversations with him as if he wasn’t ( in the best case ) an absent parent and ( in the worst ) an abusive one.

So can anyone really be mad about Tony not trusting people or coming off as “mean” or “harsh” just because he’s afraid of getting hurt?

Next time I talk to a Howard Stark apologist I will commit a crime.

4- TEAM DYNAMICS

AA’s Tony is the leader, though he’ll take Steve advice blindly. He usually calls the shots but everyone’s free to give their ideas ( which will be heard and taken into consideration ). The rest of the team mostly just follow Steve and Tony’s orders because in the heat of the battle there isn’t much time for consideration.

AA’s Tony is sarcastic, charismatic, practical, intelligent ( duh ) and mathematical. He’s all about probabilities and physics and stuff, but he also has his moments of what I call “believing in the power of love”, which basically means acknowledging that being human, “vulnerable” and different from each other is what actually makes them invincible and unbreakable.

When he jokes he does it to make people believe he’s funny or to make them laugh ( at least that’s what I think )

MCU’s Tony is all of the above except “the power of love” moments. He loves humanity but he doesn’t acknowledge it as much as AA’s does.

When he jokes he doesn’t do it to come up as “funny”. He’ll say everything and If it’s fun, cool. If not, he doesn’t care.

He’s cool, tired, and he has spent all of the saga adopting every child he’s come across [ Dad!Tony Stark ]

AA’s Steve is way less problematic than MCU’s. He’s lighter, takes things seriously but not to an extreme. He cares about trainings and being prepared, he takes his job seriously and is very responsible.

MCU’s Steve is more serious, we don’t see him worry a lot about everyone training, just him. He cares about plans and preparation. He is also more conflictive.

In AA when Steve and Tony have a disagreement they talk, and they don’t attack each other ( verbally or physically ). They communicate. In the MCU all they do is fight and accuse each other, never really talking, but arguing because the other doesn’t make things the way they would.

Clint ( ah, where to begin with )

AA’s Clint has nothing to do with MCU’s.

They literally just share the name and the aim.

AA’s is more like 616’s Clint. He’s carefree, cocky, fun, cool… he’s like the teenager who thought he was a cool kid. He loves food and 80% of his dialogues are bad puns ( or really good ones ), and he wears glasses because of the aesthetic.

MCU’s is serious, a certified dad. He jokes sometimes but nothing to really remember him for.

Nat is Clint’s best friend in every universe.

Gotta admit it, I like MCU’s Nat more than I do AA’s ( even though

In AA she is like this serious, mean, badass, harsh, mom of the group lesbian. ( she’s not a lesbian but she could be ), and I love her, but MCU’s more elegant while still being all of the above, and that’s the Natasha we love and would die for.

AA’s Thor is comics’ Thor. He talks like he’s a thousand years old ( which he is ) and has all this respect for the war and the customs of each culture.

MCU’s Thor is like some dummy in comparison. In the first two movies he’s serious and war-like, but in the last two he’s a lighter, funnier, sort-of-dumber version. ( Don’t saying I don’t love him, NOBODY CAN HATE THOR )

Now Hulk. In AA we usually just get to see Hulk, not Banner, and we gotta admit that Hulk is smarter in the series than in the MCU.

In the MCU we get to see Banner, which is a plus, and even though he’s not my favourite character I don’t dislike him.

And last, but not least, Falcon. Now if the hawkeyes were different, this is a whole other level.

They don’t have ANYTHING in common. Not even the age.

They’re both Sam Wilson and they’re both Falcon. That’s it.

In AA he’s practically still a kid, he’s like 20 years old and really smart. He usually helps Tony in the lab and creates stuff of his own too, but he shares Steve’s patriotism. He’s a mommy’s kid and he’s the newbie, but he doesn’t really shine.

In the MCU he’s a middle-aged man, ex-soldier and gives the best advice. He’s really sure of himself, he started off as a secondary character but now he’s a protagonist and captain America ( loved that ). He really steals the thunder when he’s in the scene, and he’s cool af.

AA’s avengers are much closer than MCU’s. They share things in common, experiences, they live together. There’s a certain domesticity we can see in each chapter, plus the banter and the “Hulk finished all the popcorn” stuff. They also help each other out, they have their bonding moments, they get over their pasts with each other’s help… they can count on each other unconditionally.

[ There was a time they were fighting Thanos and they won, so they were in the tricarrier and Steve felt something was off. He acted in consequence, and told the team Thanos was messing with their minds. He said “don’t you feel something’s not right?” ( or something like that ) and Tony answered “No, but if you do that’s good enough for me”. AND THEY ALL FOUGHT AGAINST THANOS. Now, THAT’s TRUST. THAT’s TEAMWORK ]

In the MCU they have some sort of strict-work relationship because they’ve proved that they can’t be together without a war for more than five minutes, at least on screen. We’ve seen them have parties and eat together, but it’s not like they’re actually connecting ( short of Nat & Clint, Nat & Steve and Hulk/Banner & Thor ).

That doesn’t mean they don’t care for each other deeply or that they can’t be considered friends, after all they’ve been through together there’s no doubt they care, just that they don’t share the same relationship and there are some parts missing.

5- AVENGERS DISASSEMBLED/CIVIL WAR

Now here’s something really simple and really complicated at the same time.

These two events happened because of different reasons.

When the avengers disassembled in AA it was because Tony kept important secrets regarding the team’s and Earth’s well-being and safety. He was putting them in danger, running blindly into the unknown, and Steve gave him a few opportunities to amend that, and he knew that he was on thin ice, but still he didn’t.

Steve told him he couldn’t be in a team where he couldn’t trust the leadership, so he left, and Hulk, Falcon and Natasha left with him.

They formed two different teams, one lead by Tony and other by Steve ( who was working with shield ) and even though they weren’t on talking terms, they still worked together ( not merrily, there was a lot of angst between them ) to save the Earth.

MCU’s reason to disband was that they didn’t agree on the sokovia accords

( here’s how each Steve thinks about that btw )

I admit it makes a little sense given the government’s punishments, but it all went downhill in the moment the winter soldier came up.

Now, I understand that MCU’s reason to cause a civil war was much bigger than the accords, and their reactions weren’t so off given that the winter soldier was the murderer of Tony’s parents and Bucky was Steve’s best friend, so I’m not gonna comment on that because I myself couldn’t have done it better.

We all can understand that in the heat of the moment we don’t make rational decisions, and peace was not an option in the moment Tony discovered Steve knew almost everything from the beginning and didn’t tell him. ( that was a shitty-person move ) ( Steve totally took Tony’s trust, spat on it and threw it under a truck )

6- STONY

This is the last point, and the one I’ve been looking forward to.

There’s no doubt AA’s Stony is full of sweet, playful banter, care, mistakes, amends, fun, trust and forgiveness.

AA’s stony is the home of gay!Tony and bi!Steve, the fluff one-shot. Mutual pining, best friends to lovers, idiots in love!

MCU’s is more of a bi!Tony, gay!Steve, angsty 300k slowburn. It’s the enemies to lovers version, full of hurt/comfort.

It completely depends on what you want, and that’s totally up to the viewer/reader.

i sat through will smith spittin chiclets interview the other day and i’m not sure if this information has reached you yet but apparently gabe and will had to take a theater class for their major (they built sets rather than doing any real acting) and at one point gabe had to perform in front of everyone but will didn’t- public humiliation kink where?

i’m assuming you haven’t got to read it yet but kind of adding to the if we were villains vibes!!

oh, friend, i am intimately familiar with the will smith sc interview. p sure i've blogged this quote before but it's the core of the will smith characterization:

the way he says it is so casually ominous. will smith has a list of names and yours is in red underlined.

my other lowkey favorite part of that interview is when he disdainfully claims that isaac howard gave himself the nickname iceman. one of my favorite headcanons is that the bc line is extremely "ok boomer" about all the 04s (including cutter.)

The fan's madness

Ok, folks, here I come to share my headcanons about one of my mostly beloved OTPs. Hope, other fans of this pair will enjoy it)

Juliandy is a kind of ship dynamic I do admire. You know, the romantic interaction between the extravert badass teen and the strange gothic one can be pretty nice and funny X)

What’s really good about those two, they can share their personal traits with each other and learn how to respect the partner’s feelings. Randy may become more intelligent, empathic and reliable while Julian may take on his courage and resoluteness.

Also, huh… I want to describe my dumb point of view about the development of their relationships after the events of the show ^^

So, Randy’s 18 now, and he needs to move to another city for study (he’s going to become a photographer and operator, why not). Howard decides to stay in Norriswille and be involved in gamedev industry, but guys will definitely chat online despite the temporary separation.

Arriving at the place, Cunningham unexpectedly knows that he shares a dorm room with Julian, who dreams about the career as a director of horror films and has just entered the same university.

In the first days, the boys live calmly but a bit tense. Randy feels strangely about his neighbor who’s as perky and freaky as always. Like there is about to happen something extraordinary.

Once, while Julian’s taking shower (hehe yep), Cunningham pays attention to his collection biting toy which looks like ultramarine dragon covered with gems (cause the goth’s obsessed with outstanding stuff I mean it’s our Julian XD). Forgetting about all the rules of personal privacy, the interested guy tries to take this beautiful crap in his hands, but the dragon suddenly closes its heavy jaws… Frightened Randy throws the cursed toy on the floor and it breaks into the many pieces.

A loud sound triggers the goth to check what’s happening, and he immediately leaves the bath only with a towel on his hips (something hot is coming up)) and then sees Randy sitting near the debris. Cunningham tries to explain all the situation and promises to pay the repair, but Julian smiles softly saying: «Fuck, that’s great you aren’t injured enough».

Randy’s wonder starts to grow, but then it absolutely explodes because of gentle kiss in his forehead. And, while the guy can’t deal with his emotions due to being chocked, Julian retreats to the bathroom to get dressed, speaking quickly: «Oh, sweetie, you must buy me everything I want in restaurant dat night >:3».

It was really fun to write this cute nonsense) Maybe I’ll come up with addition soon :-)

Old ramblings that I made trying to characterize Theresa Fowler for you Ninja!Theresa AU fic (which you can find here). Just thought it would be fun to post; and by all means- feel free to add any of your own takes. This would have been made Aug 2021 I believe?

TL;DR- I wanted to compare Randy and Theresa as ninjas

Trying to make tf9gn somewhat similar to canon for my fic is pretty hard just because randy and Theresa are pretty different when you try to put the two in similar situations.

The most obvious point, right off the bat, is that Randy messes up SO much more than other ninjas, so a lot of the show's conflict for each episode just,, wouldn't happen with anybody else.

Adding on, it also important to know that some of the conflict also comes from Howard. You'd have to rework a LOT to make Debbie cause problems.

On the bright side, both girls didn't have a lot of character, so i guess I can make up what I want >:P

BOTH of them (Randy + Theresa), like any teenager, will inevitably be [for lack of a better word] selfish. In Randy's case, he'll try and push his responsibilities to the side (ex. "Wave Slayers"), while Theresa will seek [lacking words] revenge (ex. "Der Monster Klub") (EDIT: I don't think she would do it super maliciously 24/7- but she definitely does think about it when she hangs out with Julian and co.)

Randy's a weird case because he is quick to learn his lesson, (there is one post, look for that) but he treats it like,, a level up rather than and actual life lesson. Theresa doesn't really have any growth, but maybe - to contrast Randy - she can be slower to learn a lesson? Or,, she just sometimes wants to not do the right thing. Randy has those moments too, but more often than not, he just can't read the Nomicon critically.

Theresa also has more than one friend (Along with Debbi and Der Monster Klub, I do headcanon she gets along decently well with the other baton twirlers). This means she won't be desperate to tell her biffer, but it would also be harder to cover up with more eyes on her.

There's also "Der Monster Klub" where Theresa gets stanked. While it would be awful for her, maybe - with the knowledge of stankification (is that a proper word?) - she can avoid it by being the ninja.

Did you think her characterization throughout the movies was consistent?

What do you think about her interactions with Tony? Are they real friends or is there too much distrust between them?

Do you think her and Clint work better as friends or would you have shipped them if the farm family wasn’t a thing?

What did you think of the Black Widow movie? I thought it was out of character that she just defected to shield without trying to get Yelena out with her.

Would you ever write a Natasha story? Not on the red room stuff, but maybe on her early shield days or adventures she got up to between the movies.

Sorry that’s a lot of questions. I just love your Tony, Howard, and Peggy headcanons and I wondered what you think of Natasha.

Hey there!

Overall, I'm very fond of Nat. I never read the Black Widow comics growing up, so I didn't have a baseline for her prior to IM2, but by the time we started to get to know her more in Avengers, I really liked her. I think that's likely the movie that left me fond of her rather than indifferent.

I think she was consistent to a point. Her affection for Clint, the way she kept even her friends at a distance, and the habit that she had of having very human moments when she would freeze, reset, and force herself through it. I actually really liked that little detail that stayed with her. The Avengers all went through a lot over the years, but Natasha had been living it since her childhood.

As for Tony and Natasha... I think they're very similar when you get down to it. Neither trust easily and both are very talented at making people think they've gotten gotten to know them without actually letting them in. I don't think that necessarily allows for a deep friendship to be born, but I do think that they understood and respected each other. Yes, I think they were friends, but not anything close to what Tony and Rhodey or Nat and Clint were.

Which brings me to Clint. I threw a fit at the sudden and convenient family when they popped up in AoU. Don't get me wrong, they eventually grew on me and I think they grounded Clint on whole. I also tend to enjoy stories about men and women that are capable of having a friendship that doesn't include romantic elements, but not for these two. We saw a bond that I really read as romantic in Avengers. Clint's family and the whole weird romance between Natasha and Bruce all felt so, so forced. The only thing I can think of is that they were really aiming for Clint being devastated by the snap and so they started the family thread early on. I get that. I think it worked well. I just hope out of all the multiverses that there are more than a few in which Clint and Natasha had their chance.

I found the Black Widow movie to be too little, too late. It was horribly forgettable. Honestly, I think the parts I remember more clearly were the more absurd parts (like her breaking her nose rather than just, ya know, taking a step back) and that's not a hallmark of a well written movie. Which is a shame. If I'd been writing it, I would have written a Black Widow and Hawkeye movie, maybe about how they met or about Budapest. Everyone wants to know why they remember it so differently :P

I don't see myself writing a Black Widow story, to be honest. Life has been absolutely insane between work, a kitty that's had a few health scares, and an insane husky. It's been everything I can do to find time to write on the two multi-chapters I have going, not to mention my original works. It actually takes me a bit of ramp up time to write for a new character. I tend to start with one shots and expand from there, and I just don't see having the time for a new multi chapter any time soon. :(

And please don't apologize! This ask made me absurdly happy! As much as I am fond of Natasha, I don't spend nearly as much time on her as I do on other characters, so it's nice to be able to sit and think about her a bit :D

OKAY SO, I was praying for someone with a huge brain like yours to add their input to my silly AU! I'll comment on your suggestions because there's some epic stuff right here :p

I'm glad my breton headcanon for the McGill brothers had such a good reception and is widely accepted now >:) But starting with them : -Your idea of calling Jimmy Jérôme is honestly stellar, and way better than the other suggestions I've received so far. Someone suggested Yoann but I didn't wanna go for a first AND last name from Bretagne, my own idea, Jacques, feels too old-fashioned for a man born in the sixties as I said, and Jean (James' most literal traduction) is too basic and also lacks realism for a man from Jimmy's generation. Jérôme is realistic, not too ugly, close to canon, can be shortened to a stupid nickname that fits Jimmy's personality (Gégé…….. putain) and doesn't sound too bad imo. I second that.

-Charles' name being shortened to Charlie would most likely only be on Jimmy's behalf, sorry for not being clear on that! Americans use their nicknames in everyday settings in a way that french people don't, that's for sure, but I can totally picture Jimmy going salut mon charlot/charlie lol. Howard and the others at the firm wouldn't call him Charlie the same way canon Charles is called Chuck on the regular, granted. On second thought maybe Howard would, but only occasionally and not at work, but that's about it. As for the charlie hedbo connotation, it didn't even cross my mind. Better Call Saul takes place in the early 2000s, so the events of 2013 wouldn't even be pictured nor linger in people's minds, and before that I don't think anyone associated that nickname with the infamous journal. It's most likely a product of our times. Peanut's Charlie Brown would most likely pop into their minds first tbh, at least I think so.

-I absolutely adore your Kim Wexler take. I was indeed wondering if Kimberly had the same connotation in the US as it has in france (aka a lower class feel of someone who likes reality TV), but I honestly doubt it. Stéphanie is a great name for her as it retains a neutral, everyday feel, can be shortened, and Leclerc does sound like Wexler phonetically + as you said alludes to her blonde complexion/morality. How does it feel to be a genius?

-Albuquerque/Lille/Cicero talk : I adore that idea. I totally see why french BCS would fit neatly in a northern setting, and as you said, the drug traffic subplot would most likely be an European thing rather than a strictly french one, obviously. I need to research the specifics before drawing Lalo and the others because I truly know nothing about that topic, but it's great!

-Latouche for Saul is extremely funny, but it reminds me too much of th Ducobu comics fjkdfgfg. I do see why it'd fit tho, and I'll add it to the suggestions I've had so far :] I also thought of something that rimes with his catchphrase rather than something too puny in itself. Thinking about better call saul if the action took place in france just because I wanted to see them in cunty robes lmao. More thoughts under the cut!

Obviously the action and the whole premise of bcs/brba wouldn't work in france (legal system aside, the whole cartel and walter white storyline would have to suffer major changes due to social security and the mexican cartel well. not existing here stricto sensu). But let's talk about the real Important Stuff : their names

I think Howard Hamlin would work well as Edouard Hamelin. He looses the cool HH initials yes, but it works really well as a genuine french name imo, and Howard/Edouard are pretty close phonetically

Chuck could still be called Charles without any realism issue, but he'd be nicknamed Charlie rather than Chuck because that's what a french person would go for... nicknames don't work the same, yeah

Kimberly Wexler and James McGill, I have no idea lmao. James when translated becomes Jacques, but it's such a boomerish uncool name that I cannot resolve myself to call my boy like that. It's also one generation too old. Jimmy being born in '60 could technically be called Jacques, but it'd be old-fashioned, as it's a name mostly given to the kids of the decade that came before him. McGill is an irish name, so something funny could be making Jimmy a breton with a funky last name like Gall/LeGall ? That's hilarious to me. But who knows.

Saul Goodman is a pun, so this is even harder for me to conceptualize. Saul's marketing would definitely not work in france at all, as no one would realistically hire a lawyer with a puny name and such chaotic displays (+ I think ads for legal démarchage are illegal mind you). However, let's have a crack at it. It would have to be a pun based off an expression similar to "it's all good man", or implying something positive and familiar... I need to think on that one.

what if maddie didn't kill doug and he had her hostage for days and they stayed in an abandoned house. then a neighbor filed a noise complaint and athena had to have hope that it was doug and maddie, but when she got there maddie and doug were in the basement. doug was unconscious in the corner of the room while maddie was attempting to escape.

so doug goes to jail for a life sentence for the murder of the cashier and the attempted murder of a firefighter and a 911 dispatcher. but a few years later he gets the death penalty for killing a prison guard.

maddie doesn't think it is fair for him to get the easy way out of life so she goes to court to fight for doug to be able to rot in a jail cell until he dies. which she wins and his death sentence is removed and he goes back to having to spend his life in prison.
