Alan absentmindedly stroked his bearded dragon, as the lizard clinged to his shirt. Draco looked at his owner with a surprisingly understanding look. The blond chuckled, picking his pet up and returning him to his enclosure. Draco stayed still for a moment before darting over towards his basking area. Alan’s smile grew. Trust his reptiles to cheer him up. He reached for the mouse that had been thawing for his snake Petunia, which the python gratefully took.

The youngest brother sighed. He may be slowly recovering, but he wasn’t quite well enough to fully join the search yet. He had wanted to, stars above he wanted to help, but his father and Virgil had been adamant that he wait a bit longer. So now, here he was, stuck in his room. He groaned as he fell backwards onto his bed, watching Petunia eat her meal.

John would be back home soon. Virgil and Gordon had taken Thunderbird 3 up to the satellite, leaving Alan without any brothers to talk to until they got back. He had been up on Thunderbird 5 alone before, but this was different. He felt truly alone at that moment, and the wait to join them in the search for Scott was killing him. He held back tears, wanting nothing more than to hug his big brother.

A knock on his door pulled him out of his despair, and he quickly wiped back the few tears that had escaped, sitting up against his bed frame. “Come on in.” The door swung open, revealing the woman he loved. Tin-Tin gave him a gentle smile.

“Thunderbird 3 is on final approach now. Once John gets settled, Brains and I are going to work on that crab.” She sat next to him, pulling him into a hug. “We’ll find him, Alan. Just you wait and see.” Alan smiled back at Tin-Tin, who looked close to crying herself. The blond quickly returned the favour, hugging his girlfriend tight.

“I know we will.” He sighed. “It’s just I’d rather be finding him with you.” Tin-Tin huffed amusedly.

“And you will be. Just a bit longer.” She smiled knowingly.

The lab was buzzing with activity. Brains, at the centre of the room with Tin-Tin, carefully analysed every single part of the crab’s mechanics, trying to decipher where in the world it could possibly have been manufactured. It had to turn up something. Anything would do; it was the only lead they had.

On one side of the room, John’s fingers flew across the keyboard of his laptop, trying to locate Scott’s plane. So far, he was having no such luck, but it was clear from the determined look on his face that he wasn’t giving up on that particular avenue any time soon. On the other side, Gordon was spreading the word among his contacts from his WASP days. The submarine service covered every part of the world’s known oceans, and even some land. If anything involving Scott happened in the big blue, he’d know about it.

As for the land portion of the search, Jeff had called upon each and every agent International Rescue had at its disposal. Their father was furious at the world, and his boys couldn’t blame him.

Virgil pushed the door open, back facing the room as he carried his almost impossibly tall stack of papers; all of the emails from his older brother's laptop. Maybe one of them had some kind of clue. That’s what Thunderbird 2’s pilot hoped at least. He deposited them on a nearby countertop and began to sift through them, sighing as he did so. This wasn’t going to be easy.

It was a strange kind of silence that followed, everyone panicking and trying to find even the smallest lead. Virgil was so absorbed in his analysis of Scott’s emails that he didn’t realise someone else’s arrival until their father broke the silence. “Alan? What are you doing in here? You should be resting.” Virgil looked up to see Jeff, arms folded as he addressed the youngest brother, trying his best to look stern. That didn’t stop the pilot from noticing the worry in their father’s eyes, however.

Alan sighed. “Sorry, Dad.” He folded his arms as well, matching Jeff’s stern glare. “I couldn’t just stay in my room while you guys are doing all the work to find Scott.” He shrugged. “Besides, I feel just fine.”

Virgil replaced his current file on the pile as he rose to his feet, stretching weary muscles as he did so, and walked toward his brother. “I’ll be the judge of that, Al.” He beckoned Alan to follow him to the sickbay, and the blond obliged, confidant in his ability to pass the check-up he was about to endure. Gordon gave his partner-in-crime a salute as the two walked by, something Alan returned with a grin on his face.

Within moments, they were in the sickbay, and Virgil worked fast with the check-up, wrapping the blood pressure monitor firmly around Alan’s arm. The older of the two hummed after a few minutes of monitoring. That seemed normal. He pulled out a needle, causing Alan to wince a little. “You okay with the blood test? We don’t have to, but you’d have to stay on the sidelines for a little longer.”

Alan nodded, determined to help the others find Scott, and Virgil went ahead. As the two were waiting for the results to come in, a process made as quick as ever thanks to Brains’ incredible improvements to the reader, Alan hummed. “So… any luck so far?”

Virgil sighed. “Nothing yet. But we’re working as fast as we can. In addition to Brains and Tin dissecting that crab, John’s putting an algorithm together, Dad’s got all the agents out looking for him and Gordon’s alerted his friends in WASP.” The medic crossed his arms. “I’m trying to find any clues on Scott’s laptop.”

Alan stifled a laugh. “Bet Scott won’t like that, you snooping through his private emails.”

Virgil rolled his eyes, smirking despite the situation. “He can just deal with it. It’s for his own good.” His face fell as he looked at Alan. “Why do you wanna help so much, Allie? If your poisoning is linked to Scott’s disappearance, which it likely is, you could be in danger.”

Alan sighed. “Not on the Island.” He smiled sadly at Virgil. “We’re Tracy’s, Virg. All stubborn as anything. We protect our own, and just because I’m the youngest doesn’t mean I don’t have a protective streak. You know that. He’s my brother too…”

The pilot of Thunderbird 2 smiled back, reaching forward to run his fingers through his brother’s blond hair. “I know, Allie.” Virgil frowned gently. “Sometimes we just forget just how old you are, that you’re just as adult as the rest of us. It’s just the big brother way to protect the younger ones…”

The young astronaut leaned into the hug his brother provided, tears threatening to emerge. “But who protects you guys?”

Before Virgil could say anything else to comfort Alan, the machine beeped, and the two regretfully separated, ready to read the results.

Kyrano paced the hallway as the people inside tried desperately to locate their missing piece. He had a feeling about who was behind this; these dang headaches were only getting more and more recent since Scott Tracy disappeared. He also recognised the species of crab the robotic messenger was based upon, a native species of his home province in Malaysia. He was sure his brother had chosen it on purpose.

Just as he was about to walk into the lab to ask how everything was going, Virgil and Alan rounded the corner. The manservant smiled when he saw the grin on the youngest’s face. No doubt the blond had been given a clean bill of health.

Kyrano staggered a little, swaying from side to side as his vision started to darken. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Virgil give him a concerned look and open his mouth, but Kyrano couldn’t hear what the medic was saying. Before he knew it, he had blacked out completely, just in time to notice the two brothers running up to him to break his fall…

hi anon! sorry this one took me so long to get to, I've been busy ;o; and I wanted to make sure I had some good ones to share!!

langston

he strikes me as the type with a textile hobby, or that he's at least tried them before. he probably gave up needle felting because he kept accidentally stabbing his thumb

the bureau really is just like, another 9-5 job to him. it really ISNT, because he knows how special and cool it is, and really does have a good understanding of the paranatural, in his own weird way, but its also just. his office job he goes to and comes home from! daily life. no biggie. except. it is a big deal. but also not!

he's fairly good at keeping his work and home life separate, except for his love for alan wake. and also whatever's up with his cat. and maybe also his nice old lady neighbor.

that aside, he has a good understanding of the fact that the paranatural world doesn't stop when you leave the oldest house, and it isnt only found at AWEs and thresholds. he gets that its just part of reality and informs daily life in ways they take for granted.

side note, he really does get along well with his neighbor! that's basically his family to him-- his family is still around, more or less, but he interacts with her and people at work more. the rest of his social life are random art exhibits and club meetings he heads to on his own and his forum presence online.

the group mom who tells everyone to talk about their feelings and not bottle it up, except HE bottles up his own feelings often. he's good at being open, but not at being vulnerable. he tries to just shoulder all his own problems and take care of them himself

big family, loves them all, even bigger family gatherings, a mama's boy.

one of the few in the core control cast who has a social media and actually uses it. he seems like a guy who might have snapchat to me-- mostly just uses it to keep up with friends.

his friends and family outside the bureau know he works a classified government job and that he can't really disclose much about it. he does love to joke about it though. really though, he wants to keep everyone away from that life as much as possible, if he can avoid it-- not because he wants them uninvolved with what he does, but because he worries about the danger it might bring.

not a big fan of spiders or snakes. sure he'll kill the spider in the apartment but he won't be happy about it. he only screamed like five times. yes he was a ranger and has plenty of combat experience. shut up.

Just watched Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and I've got a few headcanons.

1. They all retain a bit of their avatar from the game. For example:

Alex goes on to be a pilot and he wows everyone with his margarita abilities.

Bethany is obsessed with cartology. She loves to travel all over and make the most detailed maps you'll ever see.

Fridge becomes a zoologist because there is nothing more badass than defanging a black mamba.

Spencer goes rock climbing in his free time.

Martha fights at a local gym. Like boxing, but more freestyle.

2. When he gets back to 1996, Alex approaches Alan Parrish and thanks him for making the shelter in the jungle. The two talk about what it was like to spend so many years there.

3. Fridge hates cake. He can't go near it.

4. Bethany is deathly afraid of hippos.

5. Martha has panic attacks whenever there's a snake nearby.

6. When Alex does leave the comfort of the indoors, he's always doused in bug spray to keep away the mosquitos.

Royal Family Headcanons

Basically a compiled list of all the headcanons I’ve shoved onto the Stuart family that I’ve developed in fics and some I’ve found the fandom to collectively give them. 

Alan Stuart

- has unstable magic that can affect his health if he overexterts himself

- has a way with animals (they love him, snakes included)

- gets into tree climbing competitions w/ Katarina a lot more regularly 

- pretty much shoots down any false rumor about his friends (especially Geordo) the moment they show up

Things Got Crazy at a Slumber Party...

I would just like to say the title of this episode is so misleading…nothing crazy happened. False Advertising!

Eat the Rich

Seeing Anne’s room made me want to talk to her and urge her to revolt against the rich and distribute their wealth.

Spare Katarina, but rise up and revolt.

When I first saw her room, I legit thought Katarina was going to be surprised by Anne’s room and maybe (somehow by the end of the episode) was going to redecorate it and upgrade it for Anne…but nope. That idea quickly faded the second it went into my head.

Revolt against the aristocrats, Anne. 

Spare Katarina, but rise up and fight.

Eat the rich!

No, but in all seriousness, sometimes I have problems with anime (stories in general) where the affluent and opulent wealth of characters is just the background and it’s never going to be address in all seriousness. Particularly when they show that not everyone is as wealthy…

Why show Anne’s room to be like, if you’re never going to actually talk about it nor resolve the wealth gap. Why show her room to be depressing looking? Why not just give her a nice room? It doesn’t have to be Katarina’s room’s level of finery, but something.

That aside, let’s continue onward to the rest of the episode.

Katarina running off to tell everyone (and to thank them) for her making it to the second year, was adorable. Katarina throughout this episode was so goddamn precious.

I’m going to discuss the episode in more detail further down, so we’re going to get into some spoiler territory (I guess?). So, you’ve been warned.

Anne’s view on each of the character’s feelings for Katarina was fantastic.

Geordo’s Feelings 

While we didn’t actually get to see it, which was disappointing, Anne being scared of Geordo for initially telling Katarina that her scar was gone was hilarious. I am disappointed we haven’t seen Geordo at his true level of horrifying, but still…

Just his eyes narrowing may have cut a few years off of Anne’s life alone.

Keith’s Feelings

Poor Keith. Again, I don’t ship them, but still you still gotta feel bad for him.

What is the purpose of others thinking you’re good-looking, if the one person you want doesn’t?

I love Keith and his mother. They’re hilarious.

Alan’s Feelings

OMG Alan, how have you not figured it out, yet. You’re playing the violin for vegetation at the request of Katarina…I just.

Alan sweetheart, you are in love with this woman.

I do like how he actually did it for Katarina. That’s so fucking funny.

But also, just look at this face, how could he not.

It’s a good thing Katarina doesn’t want any actual political power or anything like that, she would be unstoppable.

Mary’s Feelings

Mary is several levels above everyone else. No comparison. 

She is subtly convincing Katarina that Katarina won’t do well as a Princess-Consort and has already figured out a way for them to leave and probably already has a manor set up by the sea, with a field already to go for the two of them (and Anne).

Mary is a bit scary in all honesty.

Nicol’s Feelings

Nicol’s cute smile was just adorable. Nicol x Katarina aren’t really one of my main ships, but I do love the contrast between these two.

Katarina this bright and bubbly ball of energy and sunshine and Nicol, a stoic statue who has trouble expressing himself, but can’t help but smile when he’s in Katarina’s presence.

Sophia’s Feelings

Sophia wanting Katarina to get with Nicol, even though she also loves Katarina is everything. Her listing off her brother’s good qualities (at random times) is hilarious to me. Always has been.

Sophia is just so damn cute.

Maria’s Feelings

Maria is giving Katarina all the treats. Smart Lady! She may have come late into the race for Katarina’s heart, but she’s playing to win.

In general, I like how we got quick snippets of everyone’s feelings for Katarina. I also love how the anime, legit just says the girls are in love with Katarina. I’ll always appreciate that.

Anne and Katarina

Anne’s POV in this episode was just everything. I’m so glad the anime adapted it from the Light Novel, seeing as the Manga just ignored it. I’m so very happy.

When she lifted up her sleeve to reveal the burn marks, I gasped.

I wasn’t sure if the Anime was going to actually include that part (the Manga did skip over it), so I’m very happy the anime chose to include Anne’s full backstory. 

It makes me sad, but it’s good angst.

It’s not the same as the Light Novel, but Anne’s backstory and her relationship with Katarina was everything. That little montage of Anne and Katarina… my heart can’t handle such cuteness.

Also, I genuinely really love how when Katarina asked Anne’s father to not take Anne away, she had a bit of a bratty vibe to her. Very similar to Katarina before she regained her memories.

Even though she has her memories, Katarina is still a kid. And I just love that.

Anne refusing her father’s order. Mwah!

I really appreciate how the anime changed that scene from the Light Novel to Anne standing up for herself and actually speaking up.

Well Done! Good Choice!

Also, Luigi Claes stepping in to talk to the Baron himself was just nice to see. 

It was great seeing him being intimidating and such. While Katarina sees him as her dopey, doting father, there is more to him.

In the LN, it’s made clear that he learned about the man Anne’s father wanted to marry her off to and was not happy with that and came to Anne’s defense. 

But I also just like how a part of it, is probably because Katarina wanted Anne to stay with her (and Anne wanted the same thing) and Luigi can’t deny his daughter anything.

Luigi Claes doing the right thing (because it’s the right thing) but also, because he’s the kind of father, who will give his daughter anything. There’s a reason why OG Katarina was so spoiled. 

The fact that Katarina knew Anne would come into her room in the middle of the night to put her covers back on her, was just so sweet. 

Because Anne probably thought Katarina never knew she even did that, but of course Katarina knew.

Katarina giving gifts to Anne and being the first person to ever give her a birthday present…I swear I’m not crying, you’re crying.

I LOVE THESE TWO!

I guess while it’s never stated, I presume all the other stuff in the box were gifts from Katarina or objects related to a fond memory Anne has of Katarina.

Which gives me a headcanon.

Headcanon – Everyone has kept all the gifts they’ve ever received from Katarina as well as certain items they associate with a specific time or event they shared with Katarina.

We know from the Light Novels, that Keith has kept all the birthday presents he’s ever received from Katarina. And I thought it was said he kept the remnants of the door Katarina broke down, but I couldn’t confirm that. But now that’s a headcanon of mine as well.

More specifically, I now have the headcanon that either Geordo or Alan kept the snake toy that Katarina first threw at Geordo all those years ago. 

Probably Alan, as that memory is 100% positive one for him. While for Geordo, that memory probably mixed at best.

There is something cute about Geordo being scared of that toy, telling on Katarina and getting her in trouble, but nonetheless keeping that dreaded fake snake.

Anne and Katarina and their whole relationship was just everything. They were truly and absolutely the highlight of this episode. My heart was ready to burst.

Sleepover

Overall, it was very cute. It was nice seeing the girl’s hang out and be in their pajamas. 

Katarina saving Anne from the girls’ question about marriage, was just very nice and does show Katarina is not as dense as we may think. She’s aware.

I will say, though, it was a bit lacking in comparison to the bonus Manga chapter in Vol. 5 (LN).

Particularly in regards to Mary. I mean just look at Mary in the Light Novel for comparison. It almost feels like a different scene. 

Also, while I did realize this last week. 

Sophia’s wish in romance and how over-the-top, pure fantasy, based on romance novels her ideas actually are, really makes her fantasy in last week’s episode (I became Engulfed by Desire) feel way more off. 

And just not accurate to Sophia’s character.

You’re telling me that Nicol in his amplified fantasy is basically Tuxedo Mask jumping around Venice with Katarina, but Sophia’s amplified fantasy is just her being in her family’s library with Katarina.

I call bullshit.

Sophia’s desire book fantasy, should’ve been the most crazy and over top thing ever. 100%. And this episode confirms that.

Both Maria and Katarina wanting to cook for their partner is very lovely and shows their compatibility.

I am a bit disappointed that we didn’t get to see the boys’ sleepover, but Nicol’s eyes sparkling when he heard that the sleepover would include boy’s talk was just too precious.

His thoughts are definitely much more innocent in comparison to what Sophia was thinking when she heard about Boy’s Talk…I love Sophia.

Geordo and Katarina

I was really looking forward to seeing Ch.17.5 be adapted to the anime, but unfortunately, I was thoroughly disappointed by it.

It was much less sweet, cute and funny then it was in the Manga. Seeing the scene in the anime just made me want to read the Manga chapter again. 

Seriously, you don’t have to read the whole Manga (you should though), but do yourself a favor and read Ch. 17.5. It’s amazing!

Just look at this dork

This was a golden opportunity for the anime, to really show Geordo’s feelings and relationship with Katarina from his perspective. And just endear the audience to him. 

They completely dropped the ball.

I feel like the anime doesn’t understand or even like Geordo’s character. He seems less dynamic, engaging and interesting in the anime. And the aspects that make very endearing and heartfelt, are basically taken out.

He hardly comes across as the leading male…which is disappointing for me, since I really love Geordo and Geordo x Katarina.

I am very disappointed with the treatment of Geordo. The anime is doing a disservice to him, in my opinion. Especially in comparison to Alan who the anime has added extra moments for.

I do appreciate those extra Alan moments, but I would appreciate them a lot more if it didn’t feel like Geordo was being left out. 

Nonetheless, Geordo’s face when he saw everyone else and when saw that they all got Katarina gardening shears as well was fantastic!

Katarina Speaks Two Languages Headcanon

I mean this episode basically confirmed that. With Katarina writing the letter to Geordo, but writing everyone’s name in Kanji (?) on their gardening uniforms.

While we do have Keith’s and Duchess Claes’ signs not being written in the country’s language, that’s more for comedy sake as those signs don’t exist in reality.

But did anyone in the Harem wonder, why Katarina wrote their names in an entirely different language? I just love the idea of everyone being shocked to learn that Katarina can speak and write fluently in two languages.

Conclusion

I overall enjoyed this episode. 

Some scenes I found a bit lacking (or more than a bit) in comparison to what they were based off of from the Manga or Light Novel. I will say I liked how this episode did take its material from the Light Novels and the bonus chapter in the Manga, as well as adding their own bits and pieces.

It was well done.

I’m definitely salty over how wrong they got Ch. 17.5. I just…at times it feels like the anime gets the core of certain scenes and characters (without doing the exact same thing from the LN or Manga or adding their own scenes) just right, but for Geordo they just seem to miss the mark.

Also, the material from Ch. 17.5 just felt like it was added onto the end, it didn’t really go with the rest of the episode…

And in relation to that, Mary being subdued in the sleepover scene was disappointing as well.

I understand there are budgets and restrictions, so I’m hoping they’re saving it for the last three episodes.

Anne and Katarina were the clear highlight of this episode. Without them being the focus of the episode, I would’ve found it less enjoyable, even with all the cute and precious moments we got to see.

But overall, a lovely episode with so many precious moments and it gave me so many feels in regards to Anne and her relationship with Katarina. So many!

Headcanons of stuff that happened in my Fallout 3 story

1. When my Lone Wanderer enters Rivet City and sees Dr Li for the first time, Dr Li doesn’t comment on the Wanderer’s likeness to James. Instead, she gasps, shocked as she thinks she’s seeing a ghost and she shouts “Catherine!?” Believing for a moment that her old colleague is alive. My Lone is visibly confused until Dr Li calms herself down and she says she looks just like her mother, and they proceed to talk about James. I just think with a male lone wanderer her thinking he looks like James makes sense, but for a female LW, it makes more sense for Dr Li to say she bears a resemblance to Catherine.

2. In the Tranquil Lane (Or whatever the simulation is called) as soon as my Lone enters the pre-war realm James instantly recognises his daughter. His little girl, 10 years old once more. He thinks it’s something in the simulation trying to trick him, the mad scientist’s way of tormenting him. The dog starts to whine and cry a bit. It’s tough for James to see his little girl at an age when everything seemed so simple.

3. James has always been wary of Butch. He doesn’t think the boy is a bad kid, but he has a rocky home life. And James knows that can lead to tumultuous and erratic behaviour. So the fact that Butch has a switchblade genuinely makes him worried for his daughter’s safety and other Vault dwellers. One night, he finds a drunk 17-year-old Butch stumbling about angrily. James tries to calm him down but Butch goes for his blade, and it's here that Jame’s Wastelander side comes out because next thing James has Butch’s arm bent and pressed against his own back and the switchblade has been snatched and James is holding it tightly while he’s restraining Butch. It all happened so fast and James didn’t even think about what he was doing, it was just instinct. Butch remembers that moment and forever wondered where the hell the old man learnt such moves being stuck in the vault. Obviously, things become clearer in later years...They never talked about it.

4. Butch has an obsession with his hair. Will spend hours if he must getting it just right. He doesn’t just wake up like this you know!

5. Butch meeting James Hargrave? Ouch. Yeah, Butch makes sure him and Lone talk to James whenever they’re in Rivet City. He looks out for the kid and Butch rents our a constant room in Rivet City’s hotel so James can go there if he needs an escape.

6. In fact, because you meet Butch in the Muddy Rudder I believe he adopted his mom’s drinking habits but upon meeting James and his mother Tammy as well as some encouragement from my Lone Butch drops alcohol and only ever has some if he’s celebrating. He won’t become his mother.

7. Amata never really dates anyone. Her father is really controlling; I mean he goes into all of her doctor appointments as stated by James in his terminal so she has zero privacy but if we get into the mindset of the other vault dwellers...Alfonse is a bully, a bully who is very protective of his daughter. Dating Amata is just a bad idea, she’s pretty and sweet but no one can get over that looming shadow that is the Overseer that hangs over her. 

8. The only reason the Tunnel Snakes pick on Amata is because of Wally. Wally has a huge crush on Amata but because his mates keep telling him “Dating Almodovar is a terrible idea,” and they call her fat and daddy’s little girl, it hinders his intention to ever ask her out. I mean, Butch and co are arseholes anyway in their teenage years so they pick on anyone but Butch has his rivalry with Lone, Amata doesn’t really cross his mind. Wally picks on her simply because he likes her and so he’s the one that instigates any bullying towards her. The difference between him and Butch is that Wally is a bit more...abusive. He’s grown up with fucking EVIL men in his life and it’s the only way he knows how. It ain’t good.

9. The Lone Wanderer CRINGES during the holotape recording found in her father’s old office in the Project Purity building. Yeah, it’s sweet but she’s hearing the moment before her father and her mother have sex it’s WEIRD.

10. Dr Li has to drag and slap The Lone Wanderer when James dies because she just won’t move.

11. Speaking of Dr Li, she stays with Lone and looks out for her. It’s painful for Li to see the kid of Catherine and James, looking at Lone she can’t help but be reminded of them. When Lone ‘Dies’ completing Project Purity Dr Li is fucking OUT of there. She leaves the Capital Wasteland for good. The woman needs a break.

12. When Lone fixes the pipes in Megaton she sits on Charon’s shoulders so she doesn't have to climb and break her neck scouring the crooked buildings and pipes trying to get to the leaky ones.

13. When Lone ‘dies’ Charon and Butch stay together. It’s kinda like “Well...we only have each other know I guess?” Like it's just them clinging to some familiarity after Lone ‘dies’. But its this period where the two go from indifferent strangers only connected through another person to genuine buddies.

14. I don’t believe for A SECOND that BITCH DELORIA walked to the other end of the fucking Captial Wasteland utterly unharmed. like, Rivet City is fucking FAR from Vault 101. I got my ass beat by a lady chilling in her hoodie in a shitty house and got chewed up by an ant just on the outskirts of Megaton! You can’t sell me the idea that this twink straight outta the vault wandered MILES AND MILES through Super Mutant infested deserts and city ruins to Rivet City without a scratch. Don’t be stupid Bethesda! Butch Deloria walked out the Vault WITH the Lone Wanderer where they came to an agreement.

15. The Agreement was that Lone would escort Butch to Rivet City after he complains non-stop about what a shit hole Megaton was, and on the way, she’ll teach him how to survive. After that? they’ll never see each other again. Obviously, this plan goes wrong because of...well. Enemies to lovers and 19 looks good on Butch Deloria and my Lone Wanderer.

15. Charon enters the irradiated chamber where James died so that he can give Lone a proper burial for her dad. Dr Li reveals they buried Catherine near the water at Jefferson Memorial so they bury him next to her.

16. Amata and my Lone Wanderer DO NOT end on good terms and this stems from my own reaction the first time I finished Trouble on the Homefront. I killed Alfonse during the beginning and you can’t talk down Alan Mack so I get where she’s coming from, my Lone is the Overseer killer and she’s dangerous as well as a tad bit unstable but I was MAD. I was so pissed off that she called me all the way out the 101, didn’t even ask how I was or what I had been through and then begs me to solve their shit out only for her first order as Overseer to boot me out! I lost my dad and now you’re kicking me out a SECOND TIME?! Fuck you Amata.

17. Personally, when Jonas died I took his glasses and when I got a house in Megaton I kept them on my desk. As a little thing to remember the sweetest guy in Vault 101 who did not deserve it. So yeah, my Lone does that.

A month had come and gone, and Edworth Harte was finally ready to go home after taking a long hard look at that cave. By his side were the crew he arrived with, now his lifelong friends. He hadn’t been too close to them before this whole mess; they were just his employees. But turns out, when you suffer trauma with a group of people, you’ll stick to each other. He’s always wondered why the team that had rescued him and his friends were so close, even before the cyclone. He’d seen how close Thunderbird 2 stuck protectively to Thunderbird 1. It could’ve just been because of the pilot’s cold, but Edworth saw the almost familial protectiveness that he sometimes felt from his own family. He supposed that spending so much time saving lives in devastating disasters could weave members of a team together in ways other organisations didn’t have.

And speaking of families, he was going to meet up with the Tracy family again, who had offered to fly him and his crew back to Canada. This time, they would meet Scott face-to-face, who had recovered from his bug, and John as well, who had returned after staying on the mainland for work.

The trio stepped out of the hotel, greeted by the two brothers, who waved them over to the red sports car they had on standby. John got into the driver’s seat, quickly banishing Scott to the passenger side. Edworth could hear Tara stifle a giggle, and he almost laughed as well. Maybe Scott wasn’t quite as well as his family wanted him to be yet, but he could see from the older brother’s expression that he wasn’t going to let John pilot the jet to Canada.

He cleared his throat as the engine started up and the car made its way to the airport. “So, how are things back home? Everyone okay?”

Scott looked back at the trio behind him. “They’re doing alright, thanks. They all send their regards, and Grandma’s already inviting you guys back over.”

“That’s nice of her.” Otis piped up.

John nodded in agreement. “She likes to entertain.” The blond smirked, pointing at Scott. “Do you guys wanna know what this idiot did while he was sick?” Scott shook his head frantically.

“You don’t wanna know, trust me.”

He was resolutely ignored by his brother. “He left the sickbay for some ‘fresh air’ and ended up getting caught in another storm. He also would not stop smotherhenning us when we should have been the ones doing that.” John ducked Scott’s swipe. “Ended up being set back by a few weeks.”

Tara gasped. “The bug was bad enough that he was in bed for weeks?”

John nodded. “Yep. Virgil still isn’t sure he should be flying today.” Scott scoffed.

“I feel just fine. I’ll get you to Canada no problem.” He slid his sunglasses on, and they continued on their way.

The jet landed on the Canadian runway with a grace that Tara thought would make even the most experienced pilots jealous, and the second they had taxied into a private hangar, the Tracy brothers jumped out, gesturing for the other three that it was okay to join them below.

Edworth grinned at Scott. “That was some very good flying.”

“Why, thank you. Please tell that to my dad and Virgil. I really wanna go out on a regular basis again.”

John tutted. “Not happening for a while.”

Scott frowned at his brother. “John!” He turned his attention back to the trio. “Well, it was great to finally meet you guys. Hope you guys have a safe trip back home.”

Edworth grinned, shaking the hands of the two Tracy men, and noticed his friends were doing the same. “Thank you. We wish you and your family the best, too.” A car horn blared throughout the hangar, and they all turned to see the driver waving at them. “There’s our ride. It was great to finally meet you.”

John smiled. “It was nice to meet you too.” The trio bundled into the car, and drove off, waving to the brothers until they were out of sight. Scott and John made their way back to the plane. “I’m flying back home!”

Scott just looked at him in mock offence. “Why do you get to fly?”

John jumped into the cockpit, pulling his brother up and laughing. “You know why.”

“Hey, didn’t you think Scott looked familiar?”

Edworth nearly spit out his drink at Otis’s question. “What makes you say that?”

Otis scratched his head. “I don’t know, I can’t put my finger on it. But it’s almost like I’ve seen him before. Like we all have, in fact.”

Tara shrugged, taking a sip of her coffee. “His father’s a very influential man. You probably remember him from a news report or something…”

Otis hummed. “Maybe.”

Edworth cleared his throat. “Well, let’s forget it for now,” he pulled the car up in front of his house in Vancouver; Tara and Otis would sleep over the night and then go their own way the following morning. “It’s been a long few weeks, and it’s good to be home.”

“It’s good to be home!” John led the way to the family villa, carefully avoiding a snake that had gotten loose from Alan’s collection. Scott stooped down to pick the python up, rolling his eyes. That pygmy alligator that Tin-Tin had gotten the youngest brother for his birthday had awakened something in Alan, and his collection had soon expanded to include a variety of snakes, lizards and frogs, reflecting his passion. Their father had been less than enthused with this development, as the patriarch had herpetophobia, but they mostly stayed in Alan’s room. It didn’t stop Alan and Gordon from teasing both Jeff and John, who didn’t have a fear so much as an aversion to snakes, or so the middle Tracy claimed.

“It sure is.” The snake inquisitively smelled the air around the two brothers. The door to the lounge swung open, and John was greeted by a very panicked Alan.

“Help! I can’t find Petunia!”

“Petunia?”

“One of my snakes.” Scott rounded the corner.

“This snake?” Alan’s eyes lit up. He gently took the snake from his older brother and grinned, rushing out of the room to return her to her enclosure.

“Thanks, Scott!”

Scott yelled after Alan. “Remember, your shift in 5 starts today!”

“I haven’t forgotten.” Alan yelled back. The two brothers behind him chuckled. The next member of the family to greet them was Virgil, frowning in concern.

“Are you okay?”

“Really? Right out of the gate? No, ‘Oh, hi, Scott and John! Hope you guys had a nice trip!’?” Scott deadpanned, but pulled his immediate younger brother into a hug. John stifled a laugh in the background. “Yes, we’re fine.”
