Hilarious thought of a funny ending for the Nikia in Veilguard fic that has no right being this funny

So, when Spite/Lucanis drags Nikia back through the veil, for real this time, they experience some... turbulence. Toying with the idea of them losing their grip on Nikia in all of it or getting knocked TF out being spit out of a fade portal in Arlathan.

Regardless, Nikia is basically alone in Arlathan, as human as she's ever been and not super steady on her feet. This is all familiar, but her normal body isn't exactly conditioned to be trekking all this terrain--though she got a taste for intense exercise to clear her head from her time as Rook.

Who does she run into?

Venatori.

So she plays her best "Dumb Tourist Who Knows Nothing" that she can because her regular clothes are... super not normal for here.

Super friendly and all "Hi! Can you tell me where I am? It's so pretty out here, but this weird hole thing just spat me out and I'm a bit turned around right now! (o゜▽゜)o☆"

Obvs, they take the easy bait while she's panicking cause like, their track record for blood sacrifice is a bit... much.

They obviously aren't telling her if she's about to be blood sacrificed (would be funny if they were considering recruiting this clearly hapless fool woman) and she's pretty sure she's fucked until she realized she Has Magic. Like. Super Still Has Magic Here Now.

And proceeds to fuck shit up before they can slap her in a prison for holding along with other possible blood sacrifices. Dalish, poor bastards, who are very excited to be freed by this weird human woman. Of course, the Veil Jumpers were already on their way to rescue them and it takes a minute for her to notice Strife and she's just like

"Hi!!!! Strife!!! Hi! How's Emm!? He still treating you good?! How's Manfred?! Is he being good--no setting buildings on fire?!" And Strife is five seconds from shooting her ass with an arrow as he demands to know how tf she knows about all that. "Oh! Right, sorry, we've met? Sort of--different face and name and all that!"

Absolutely shocked and demands an explanation, which she gives.

"--And not that I'm not happy to see you, but I should probably go looking for Lucanis and Spite before they lose their minds or something. Do you think they'd track me all the way out here? Should I leave a calling card so they know I'm fine?" and she does, the crow symbol with a little heart over it. Nothing too detailed in case the Venatori come back around. And then she goes to the lighthouse and essentially ends up meeting everyone at their respective homes looking for Lucanis. Assuming he'd ask for help from them, but no, he's doing this solo with Spite cause he's a stubborn ass.

They're all so happy to see her and suggests she moves quick if they had seen him recently looking for her.

On her end, this is like, a fun seeking game where she properly meets her friends from all the different factions.

Lucanis on the other hand is... so fucking stressed. Spite is screaming in the background searching wildly--they're both thinking of getting a leash or something cause fuck this happening again on their watch.

Maybe they meet up when Nikia finally goes to meet with the Crows as a last resort, thinking maybe Lucanis went there for supplies or advice or help from OG Rook. Has fun bonding with her 'sister' and the other crows who only take a few seconds to realize who she is.

"I can't believe Lucanis lost you twice over. Someone needs remedial training it seems..." Viago comments blithely. "You have no papers in this world, yes? I'll draw something up. It's good to have a legal identity for some things."

"Oh, that's so nice! What's the catch?" Nikia asks, laughing with Rook as she gets all the latest tea from her.

"It's probably going to be as De Riva. It's common to adopt into a crow family for training purposes." Teia laughs. "Now, he will have two daughters."

He absolutely assumed that the symbols she's been leaving behind in compromised places was some sick message from an enemy that they had her. Got side tracked several times killing Venatori and Antaam where she'd ran into trouble and left a mark in case Lucanis managed to track her to that spot so he'd know she was safe.

They had a separate conversation about better messages to leave in situations like that so he knows if he needs to come in blazing or something.

Also, I think I will run with the idea that Lucanis is a short man. Like the 5' 3" in part because it makes it a little funnier that he's effortlessly carrying her around like potatoes when she's got three inches on him. Lucky for him, he's pretty fucking broad and built.

She does end up going through poison training, much to Lucanis and Spite's worry. It's very practical though considering who she's dating and gives her a chance to whip out sad puppy eyes on everyone to incredible effect.

"You know she's doing it on purpose, right?"

"Yes, Neve. I know. But resistance training is brutal and she deserves to be treated well."

So, involving Sephiroth and Kadaj, how do you think they feel about one another? And would there be any scenario where they view one another more positively? Do you think remake Seph knows about Kadaj?

Kadaj and Sephiroth don't like each other. Sephiroth because Kadaj is a "weaker" piece of himself and there's some uncomfortable unconscious associations there. Kadaj because Sephiroth is taking away all of "mother's" love, as well as being the stronger, better version who can kill him with ease.

If they were to view each other in a more positive light, it would have to be a very wholesome AU in which Sephiroth is literally Kadaj's dad lmao. And even then I'd imagine that Seph is kind of a no-nonsense hardass who cramps Kadaj's style. Your typical stern military dad. No fun allowed.

I also think Remake!Seph probably knows about Kadaj since he seems to have knowledge on all sorts of different universes and realities. Maybe we'll get an easter egg of that in Part 3.

Chan tends to be hyper aware of mistletoe so he can avoid it at all costs, was probably a cootie believer when he was a kid. Despite his dad being a hardass I wouldn't suggest he was an awful person, so I think he would have helped Willow set things up for the kids when they were little– footprints in flour through the kitchen to a plate of cookies, a half finished glass of milk and so on. Probably realised Santa wasn't real when his nosy little self found his parents taking bites out of carrots as if reindeer had been in the house. Definitely snitched to all the other kids too lmao.

I would say he's on the nice list. Could technically be nicer, but he's doing his best while dealing with his own shit. He'd quietly be pretty pleased about that, he definitely reacts well to praise.

Wishlist wise he'd be hoping for some acknowledgement from his father after their falling out. He wouldn't get it as such, just a generally addressed Christmas card to them all in the mail, but he knows if he wants the man's attention he needs to achieve something first. His task for the year ahead is figuring out whether appeasing his father aligns with his own desires or if it's too detrimental. Best gift he ever got was probably light up sneakers when he was a kid. He's still chasing the high of the joy he felt on that day.

What do you think of the ‘Healthy At Every Size’ movement/philosophy? I don't agree with this, and mind you this is coming from an obese person. I believe it's perfectly possible to not equate one's worth to their weight (like being fatphobic, which is absolutely evil) while still not encouraging bodies that by definition cannot function in a truly healthy manner. I more so believe in "unhealthy at any size," which is just meant to imply that someone's external appearance doesn't automatically decide their health; everyone's body is different, and what goes on inside doesn't always match the exterior.

☆ 𝐂𝐡𝐥𝐨𝐞 – Totally roots for you but flabbergasted at the same time. I mean you're obviously fighting them for a reason so she'll cheer you on. But will break it up if it gets too far and if people are seriously getting hurt, but totally panics while doing it because omg you love her and fought for her. But she's dragging you back because the person's unconscious now.

But she'd fight someone for you, so it's only fair.

Loves you to death though, she's always felt like she's not enough for people or doesn't deserve that love. But the fact that you went and were ready to beat someone up because they were talking bad about her or disrespecting her and your only thought was protecting her.

Brings a tear to her eye. No she probably cried after she thought about it for long enough at 2am one night while high.

Chloe is a pussy, as much of a hardass as she claims to be or even is at times, she gets scared. She'll even admit it, she doesn't do good in physical fights, insult her though and the tongue lashing will be worse than your moms. But she can get a couple good punchesin there but seeing you go at someone, seriously, she's gonna marry your ass.

Worries about you though, she feels like she doesn't deserve that love. But you dgaf you'll punch any bitch that disrespects either of you, you barely realize how much love she has while looking at you defending her. Words or a fight. Chloe is in deep.

☆ 𝐑𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥 – Rachel, baby, definitely panics slightly. Shows in her face but it's more inside than out. She's worried about you, but seeing you fighting, definitely don't need to be. Rachel's proud, probably records school fights but nobody can trace it back to her and she's like a ghost, nobody sees her.

You just started swinging, no thought just pissed and protective. Rachel would totally fight someone for you, but seeing you just go swinging at someone, makes her panic and then proud and then she realizes how hot you are. Laughing after the fact and even a bit in the moment, watching you beat someone up.

Gloats about it with you later after you totally take the win. Compliments you too. It's definitely a memory you both laugh at every once in a while, but Rachel knows if something happened like that again, you'll be right front and center to it all.

☆ 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚 – Not a fighter, physically anyway. Does freak a bit when you jumped up and punched someone for talking shit about her right in front of you. Teasing her and making her feel like shit. It was bothering her, so you whacked them.

Vic, for good reason, panicked a bit and backed up. Staring at the fight while in a bit of shock. Doesn't yell or cheer, just kind of in shock lmao. Nathan would totally stand there laughing beside her.

Laughs her ass off after seeing the victim of your fists. Probably throws some teasing insults at them and their friends just to rub salt in the wound.

Also probably has people post it online or digs at them on her page just to get a kick out of them. She's a bitch, and you love her for it.

☆ 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 – Let's be honest, he's not a fighter. Nathan might be able to hold his own in a fight but... lord you seen him against Warren he's up there but got his shit rocked... I'm sorry. Moving on... he would laugh his ass off. Blast the person – with words and bullying.

Probably a bit insecure though, honestly, like he couldn't stand up for himself and that his dad would think he's a pussy but trust me, there was no stopping you. Def cried, like Chloe after thinking about it for too long in the middle of the night like 2 months after it happened.

He's more of a sit in silence type of grateful. Laying in his dorm room while you clean up, but the fact that you about got suspended for him. It's true love. Also teases you about it here and there, but it makes him wonder if he can protect you, but shit – seeing that you probably don't need it.

☆ 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐞 – Kate gives me strong ' I cry a lot ' vibes and not in a bad way. She's just very sensitive and if you watch the notebook with her she'd cry for hours and probably think so deep into the story it makes her cry more. So seeing you fighting immediately makes her worried and sprint to the scene.

Then she sees you, practically slamming someone's face into the cement. Probably cries, mostly out of panic and shock. Cries after, cause my poor baby was worried about you and what was gonna happen, especially if you were okay.

Just overwhelmed, because of everything that had happening to her and then that happening. She's just so worried and upset. But you were right there to comfort her, even after beating someone's ass.

Now, disclaimer: I love all the characters I listed before, and acknowledging these traits doesn't mean that I'm ragging on them or dissing them. I've only ever truly disliked two or three characters in BNHA and the ones on my previous post are exactly none of them.

That being said, I'll do Mic first because I have a lot of feelings about him :3

In general, I don't see Yamada as gentle and understanding because in canon, he's not really shown to be gentle or understanding. Now, I haven't read the Vigilantes spin-off, but for the most part it seems like there's a wide gap between fandom Mic and canon Mic. And I love fandom Mic! He's a great teacher, a great dad, a great friend, a great husband, and generally the more emotionally mature of the EraserMic duo.

But canon Mic isn't really like that at all. Canon Mic has some anger issues that make him kind of sadistic. He made violent verbal threats against the doctor that turned Oboro into Kurogiri. And yes, you could use the excuse that anyone would want to do that after learning that their friend had been mutilated, but also—Aizawa, who is known to be a sadistic hardass, was sitting right there and didn't talk about wanting to torture the doctor at all.

When he was pitched against Jiro and Koda for their exam, he was fully aware of what their Quirks were and approached them like villains instead of students, which, while not bad in and of itself (All Might did the same thing), is not how I imagine fanon Mic would handle things. Mic nearly burst Jiro's eardrums and left them almost no way (in his mind) to pass the exam.

Mic is also arrogant. Not in the usual way, but in the way that he's too comfortable in his own abilities and opinions. Stubborn in his own self-confidence, I guess I should say. Which, considering that he is canonically one of the most intelligent characters (yes even smarter than Aizawa), it's not completely unfounded.

Their reputations are switched, almost; Aizawa is the one who's shown to be a secret softie while Mic is the one who's shown to go all-out and offer backhanded compliments. To be honest, if I had to pick a more 'emotionally mature' one between Mic and Aizawa, I'd have to go with Aizawa. Which...is saying something lmao.

As for Hawks—hm, I don't know if 'open-minded' is the word I should've used, but it was the closest to the one I was looking for. I think the word I should've used is 'sympathetic'. Which doesn't sound any better aha but hear me out.

The difference between canon Hawks and fanon Hawks tends to be 1. how he handles his childhood experiences, and 2. how much he cares about the League. Because fanfics aside (be still my Twicehawks heart) Hawks doesn't actually give a shit about the League members beyond his mission. From his internal monologues through his spy phase, we know that he sees all of them as threats, not friends or comrades. There's almost no hesitation when he kills Twice, and afterward he only cares about the other League members' grief so far as it affects their ability to fight. He yells at Dabi for smiling and fighting him and tries to throw him off-balance by claiming that he didn't care about Twice at all, even though Hawks is the one who killed him. And when Dabi reveals that Endeavor abused his family to the point of no return for not just one but two members, does Hawks stutter in his admiration for Endeavor? His budding friendship with him? No, he does not.

The reason 'open-minded' came to mind though, is that Hawks is in no way swayed by the League's message. There is no moment in canon where he stops for a moment and doubts that the side he's on (the side he's really on) is the right one. He thinks that hero society, as it is, is completely fine and how things ought to be run. His only goal is to smother villain activity until he doesn't have anymore work to do, and even then he never says anything about not wanting to be a hero.

Do I understand that his mindset is most likely the HPSC's indoctrination? Yes. Does that change Hawks's mindset in any way? No. Because I'm fairly sure that the way Hawks deals with his trauma is by just,,,not acknowledging that it's trauma. He thinks he's fine. If there's nothing wrong with the way he was raised, the way he was taught and trained, then there's nothing wrong with him, right?

The only time we see him acknowledge that the HPSC might be in the wrong was after Midoriya fought Lady Nagant. At no point before that was he shown to have any solid doubts about their leadership. It was someone that he was close to, that already had a connection to the HPSC and was once part of it, that got through to him.

Again, I don't think any of these things make either Mic or Hawks a bad character. I only consider fanon to be out of character, and to be honest I still love those fics because they're ideal for feels and fluff and angst. Though sometimes I do wish people would write them as they are in canon too, because the reason I fell in love with these characters in the first place is that they were so interesting in the original story.

i think about lotus pier a lot. the sect closest to the common folk. where children come and play. where there are no stairs. where vendors set up a market outside the gates that were never really shut, not with the river right there. i think about how different lotus pier is when wei wuxian comes back, and how he wishes he could show lan wangji what it was like, before. IT FELL IN A GODDAMN DAY JIANG FENGMIAN IS A TERRIBLE SECT LEADER WHO HAD WEEKS OF WARNING.

Okay actually from a business leader standpoint, Jiang Fengmian is okay. He keeps merchants happy without giving into them, he keeps the Lotus farmers happy without rolling over, the general nature of Yunmeng is a pretty steady place where they’re not all dying in slums while merchants hold every penny. And Jiang Fengmian as both a sect leader and in control of a lot of the rivers helps keep it that way.

As a sect leader, Jiang Fengmian wasn’t very good. Well, he was and wasn’t. Again, Yunmeng was pretty steady monetarily and people are fed and happy, but he also dismissed his own kids actions that were reflecting poorly on his people, multiple times (WWX stealing Lotus seeds/pods, WWX being a menace to LQR), didn’t quite keep up with appearances with the Entourage that is both common in media like this and we see in universe, is expected of sect leaders. Ignored threats, ignored evil vibes radiated from the Wen’s every actions. He is very much a ‘let it happen quietly’ type of person, as long as his people are alive he doesn’t particularly care to hold them to a strict standard or to go out of his way to uphold certain ideals.

Which I mean in a time of piece is okay… if you’re not in charge of people who’s job it is to ensure that demons and spirits aren’t massacring people and you’re aware that the current chief cultivator has been waging Lowkey war with the Nie’s for years and has been slowly getting bolder and bolder to the point of essentially kidnapping your kids and then allowing them to face the goddamn tortoise of slaughter.

He doesn’t seem like he wanted to be a sect leader, like where Jiang Cheng had been raised since birth with the rules and expectations and has not only accepted his job but seems like he doesn’t mind the ‘mindless’ bits and is very much okay with devoting everything to doing his job… his father seems like someone forgot to tell him that he had to do it until his dad kicked it and now Jiang Fengmian’s doing it becuase otherwise his wife will yell at him.

Like Jiang Cheng was told “this is your job” and he went “Okay, I will do it to the best of my ability and make my parents proud!” Jiang Fengmian went “god do I have to? Fine.”

Jiang Cheng being a ‘hardass’ really is just… him doing his job? His people are healthy, they have funds, they’re good at their jobs, they feel okay talking to him in public even when he’s pissed, they’re trusted with Zidian, and if you’re a CQL main like me they jab him in the tit and he sighs and takes it. He just makes sure that they’re the best they can be.

Jiang Cheng’s Yunmeng Jiang and Jiang Fengmian’s Yunmeng Jiang are two sides of the same coin.

I literally don't have a yes or no answer for this... like most things in the Batfam - it's complicated. (Following answer is informed by 90s-00s comics, i can't really speak for new52 because it just... has so many issues one of which being erasing the relationship between Dick and Tim for *checks note* no discernable reason other than possibly *checks note* Didio hates legacy characters and wants only bad things for them so he could have excuses to kill them off or cancel their comics... idk just a guess)

Warnings: for Bruce stans - just look away i'm about to bring up bits of canon you most likely don't like, for Dick stans - Devin Grayson's run is mentioned, for the lovely anon - i wrote an essay, hope you are prepared

Tim coming into the family gave Dick a reason to occasionally hang around Bruce and i'm not sure if this is an exaggeration or not but he did sort of save that relationship - but whether that was a good or bad thing at the time, i can't really say. For sure - it starts off good, Bruce is actually trying to be a good dad (he comes down to Blud to check on Dick, adopts him, trusts him with his own city, calls him for backup, etc.). But we also see throughout Bruce Wayne: Fugitive/Murderer how unhealthy the relationship between the two can be. Dick built his core values around Bruce - if Bruce had actually killed here it would have been devastating for Dick (he was pretty much on the verge of a mental breakdown simply because they couldn't find proof Bruce wasn't guilty). The two literally got in a fist fight during the arc because Bruce was being uncommunicative and Dick couldn't take it anymore, snapped, and punched him when Bruce said "Bruce Wayne is dead only Batman now" - this tied into Dick finally having the relief and validation of being adopted and he couldn't handle Bruce stripping himself (and by extension, his fatherhood of Dick) away. In this era of comics Bruce had gotten physical with Dick before (here's me venting like an annoyed loser), and here's a clip from Bruce Wayne Fugitive that i just, *sigh*, canon Bruce, my detested.

Now on the other hand - getting Dick involved in the batfam more doesn't just mean he was hanging out with Bruce. His relationship with Tim is pretty great and I can definitely see where it was healing for a while - but also - to give credit where credit is due, the healing he goes through during this era of comics can also be attributed to Barbara and the Titans (the fab five specifically). Wally literally joins the Titans to give Dick a "social life" (me - it's because he's gay and wants to spend more time with Dick, actually, screw you DC you know i'm right). Donna plays a major part in keeping Dick's emotional well being in check. So like everything was going fine - Dick was healing, spending more time with friends, spending a lot of time with people he loved, like Tim, except he was neglecting his health and not sleeping - but overall he was in fact, managing, and moving past the deaths of Jason and some of the other Titans. With the current Titans - he was a hardass (which like ~trauma~ so I understand), but like things were going relatively okay.

And then Donna and Lilith died. And hooof Donna dying was like really really bad for his mental health.

Teen Titans/Outsiders Secret Files (2003) #1

For context - the previous page noted that this is Dick SIX WEEKS after Donna died. Usually Dick's the one who moves on quickly, but Donna dying broke him in a way nothing else had before - and that could be partly because he was still recovering from everyone else's death.

Up to this point, Dick had been healing and Tim was definitely a part of that, but then DC decided to throw the absolute book, bookshelf, and library at him. Reading Outsiders (2003) it's very clear he's very traumatized, and around the same time, Devin is literally whumping him like it's the whump Olympics, breaking him and Babs up, burning down his childhood home, blowing up his apartment complex (killing all but like two of his neighbors), he's literally sleeping on fire escapes using newspapers as covering because he has nothing, and the bad thing i don't like to think about (i'll let you know if you ask but that one needs lots of tw, but if you know where i'm going you know what it is already), Blockbuster is killed and he blames himself - and loses it over breaking Bruce's one rule, Bludhaven is nuked, and he pretty much tries to kill himself.

So basically, he was on the path to healing (with Tim as part of that) before he got absolutely destroyed (and almost killed off by Didio in one of the crisis). Tim in his own right, was also going through a lot in the meantime, his dad died, Steph died, Kon and Bart died, i don't remember what else happened and i haven't read that era of Robin yet. Things were good until they weren't anymore, and sometimes i think Dick would regret ever exposing Tim to the life they live, and questions whether he should have just sent Tim packing x2. They do get to spend a year together on a mental health cruise, but then Damian comes into the picture, Battle for the Cowl happens, and they have their falling out. But whatever happened on that cruise must have been really healing for Dick because he actually kind of rocks it in this era - he keeps things light with Damian, Alfred notes at one point how he makes things easy because he has lightness in him, and he patches things up with Tim - catching him in that panel of Red Robin - from there they kind of go back to normal, there's a lightness to the way they banter with each other (also here) and Tim returns the favor (from the Red Robin incident) by pulling Dick out of the water.

They've saved each other multiple times over (physically), and in both in the Black Mirror and Gates of Gotham, Tim helps out in a period where Dick is starting to fall apart from the pressure of holding things together for so long (something Tim might feel guilty for, because he did run away from Gotham on a wild goose chase for Bruce). In that period, it's really clear that Dick saves Tim (he reminds him in RR, that someone does actually care for him) and then Tim saves Dick from being torn apart by Gotham.

I should point out - Damian, while starting off as kind of a hinderance, does eventually start helping Dick as well. By the end of their relationship (before the New52 destroys everything i love), Dick has helped Damian grow emotionally, and through that process Dick probably finds meaning and value in their time together, probably a lot like he used to feel with Tim. And of course, physically, they've both saved each other multiple times by the end of the run.

So yeah. I think Dick finds meaning in growth in mentoring his younger brothers, and it's likely a healing process, that healing just has some twists and turns along the way, and sometimes, on bad days, he probably feels like maybe he shouldn't have intervened at all, but i think on most days, he's proud of what Tim's become.

However, I could see just like Claudia and Homer; his kid being resentful of being stuck as a practical kid forever. If they're 16 and older maybe not but under that? Yeah, the bitterness of being in a 14 yr olds body forever or something like that would eventually take hold. And who knows if that would make them still like Severen or bitter towards him 10+ years from now. It probably depends on if he turned them or not.

And a they/them non binary kid would be treated most likely however they'd want to be treated 🤷🏼‍♀️ I just see Sev as respectful towards ppl he actually gives a shit about.

Honestly, no matter whether it's a daughter/son/affectionately named brat; he'd be a good chaotic Dad towards them ESPECIALLY if they were as unhinged as him. And he is definitely teaching them how to be ruthless regardless. No kid of Severen Van Sickle isn't walking around w/o a weapon or knowing how to get out of sticky situations.

but when anyone else is involved? like uncle kirishima sitting opposite you at dinner or something, they’re on the same team telling kirishima to piss off. (not really, of course.)

and omg stop— katsuki carries his son on his shoulder when they’re out running errands, and they’re like two peas in a pod— same scowl as a resting face, same narrowed vermillion eyes. someone’s like “omg is that bakugou katsuki?” and they both reply like, “hahhh?!” i wish i could draw omfg i wanna draw this so bad 😭😭😭

his kid’s a hardass— “love you, dad, i guess.” and then with you, he’s like 🥺🥺 “mommy gimme kithe!” seriously, like father like son!!!!

omg and you’ve just come home from work and they’re both sitting sprawled out on the couch, same sitting position and all. katsuki swears the kid is always trying to torment him but you’re the only one who can see how much his son wants to be like his father. katsuki will scratch his arm, then his kid mimics the action. katsuki cackles at something, the lil boy’s doing the same. the boy lowkey copies everything katsuki does, it’s just too sweet!

Single-Parent!Headcanons

Characters: Kirishima Eijirou, Kaminari Denki, and Bakugo Katsuki

Warnings: fluff overload? one tiny curse word

Kirishima Eijirou:

the day his son was born was both the worst and best day of his life

his wife died upon delivery and he almost fainted when he heard the news, bakugo caught him before he could hit the floor

it took him 24 hours before he could gather the courage to go to the nursery and see his baby. he thought he wouldn’t be able to stomach the reminder of losing the love of his life

but when he held the small boy, who instantly nuzzled into his father’s chest, sighing with relief, kirishima was hooked for life

he just continued to hold his son into his chest and cry until he couldn’t anymore

from that day on, he swore he’d be the best parent he could be for his wife and his child’s sake

bc kiri is such a youthful and loving person, taking care of his son was easy, fun, and rewarding

ofc there were hard days, but it was all worth it when his baby would wake up with an adorable laugh, smiling up at him like he was his entire world

they’re two peas in a pod

he and his son are just the cutest pair

he takes his son everywhere, strapping him on his chest with a baby carrier

you bet your ass he’s taken him on (a safe) patrol around the block

kirishima is the kind of dad that puts his kid in a laundry basket, sits them in front of the tv, and acts out rollercoaster sounds

he lives for that loud laugh of his son’s

blows raspberries into the kid’s stomach whenever he starts getting cranky

his son’s first word was “manly” and kirishima spent the entire day bothering the bakusquad about it

everyone has 12 different copies of the video—y’know...just in case

when he takes his first steps, kiri’s swinging him around the house and giving him so many kisses on his chubby cheeks

when he saw his son had one spiky tooth growing in, he almost drowned from the cuteness

the kid gets himself into a lot of trouble tho. he’s always crawling towards the edge of something and putting his hand in things that could totally cut it off. kiri has a heart attack at least once a week

calls him, “son” “bud” and “buddy”

I hc that even though he’s lively around his dad, his son is very shy with new people and in new environments so school is kind of tough for him

but kirishima is always understanding of his troubles and tries his best to let him know that as long as he’s his son, he’ll always be his biggest supporter

if that doesn’t work, they go buy their fav meats and have a random bbq (kirishima just looks like the bbq dad™️ lmao). that always seems to do the trick

when his son enrolls in U.A., he’s there with a banner, his fav meat, and a bunch of tears when he sends him off

his son wears their matching crocs only to cheer up his dad. nothing else

aka he lowkey likes them but you didn’t hear that from me!

kirishima always has the urge to ft his kid, like, every hour. but he won’t bc he knows he’s busy training to be a hero

but he does send him uplifting snapchat videos from time to time

his son still wonders how in the world his dad even knows about snapchat

he makes sure nobody knows about this

when his son calls him about his insecurities, comparing himself to his classmates, kirishima is right there to lift him up. he also dealed with those same issues and tells his son that even on his worst days, he’s strong for just facing the day and he needs to believe in himself before others can believe in him

the next day, the bakusquad is watching the tournament together

kirishima has manly tears in his eyes as his little boy places second place in the sports festival

bakugo is threatening to kill him if he ruins his shirt

Kaminari Denki:

denki becomes a dad from adopting a pair of four year old twins (one boy, one girl) that were left homeless and without parents after a villain attack

he kinda knew the parents from hero work and felt it was an obligation to at least make sure their children were okay

he wasn’t planning on necessarily adopting them. he was young and inexperienced with children. how could someone like him raise a kid when he could barely raise himself?

but after two visits to the orphanage and seeing how miserable they looked, he couldn’t leave the building without signing the papers

the transition was awkward. the twins were not only traumatized, but distrusting and scared. they didn’t really know kaminari and now he was suddenly their adoptive parent

kaminari tried everything from ice cream, to late night movie snacks, to hide n seek to get them to relax but it wouldn’t work

he almost gave up hope, and thought maybe it was a better idea to take them back to the orphanage. but that was before the night he woke up to them crawling into his bed, scared from the thunder storm that rumbled on outside

kaminari froze, scared that he’d frighten them away with any sudden movement, but he soon relaxed and hugged them close to his chest when they snuggled into his sides. he sleeps with a peaceful mind that night

although, he’s awoken to them bawling their eyes out over the nightmares they had. he panics but takes comfort in how they still grip to his shirt, face in his chest, seeking his comfort

therapy becomes a regular thing after that

kaminari finds more focus in his life

and as those helpful sessions go on, kaminari finds the twins beginning to open up more and more

they all sleep together now bc cuddle piles always scare the bad dreams away

the boy starts asking for kaminari to help him pick out his outfits

and the girl starts asking him about his quirk

it’s small things like that that lead up to things like this:

they’re in the midst of playing tickle monster when they scream with laughter, “stop! stop, daddy, you caught us!”

the twins stare at him in confusion (and slight worry) when he scoops them up and cries like he broke his leg or something

they got two huge scoops of ice cream that night so they don’t question it

dad jokes are a must

he wears typical dad outfits like hawaiian shirts, cargo shorts, and flip flops

he calls them his “little rockstars” and yes, it’s still embarrassing

kaminari is a playful dad who doesn’t really take things too seriously

his children are always laughing at his dumb jokes and are never afraid to talk to him about anything that crosses their minds

although, they won’t talk to him about love interests bc he likes to play match maker

the last time his daughter told him about some girl she was crushing on, she found out she left her a personally signed chargebolt poster for the girl in her name

kaminari called it a little boost in spirit

her brother found it funny

she was horrified

kaminari swears up and down he’s the cool dad. his kids think otherwise, but their friends LOVE how much of a jokester he is. and he lets them stay up at sleepovers

plus, he’s literally chargebolt

how could they not love him?

denki has a little trouble being serious when he needs to be, but he has good kids so it’s not that much of a problem

there was that one time his son tried to help him during a villain attack. even though kaminari ordered him to get to safety, he didn’t and ended up getting hurt

the twins had never seen their father so angry. it was kind of scary. however, in the next moment, he gathered them up in a big hug and made them swear not to scare him like that again

overall, kaminari is the sweet, fun loving, dad that everyone wishes they had

Bakugo Katsuki:

katsuki became a father the day he found a baby and a note at his doorstep

the note read: “surprise! you’re a dad. i gave you all the legal rights, but you can place her up for adoption if you want.”

least to say, bakugo was pissed

he was even more pissed at himself for getting someone so cold and unloving pregnant

however, he decides to put the baby up for adoption. he cant take care of a baby! he’s at the height of his career. he can basically taste the number one hero spot on his tongue

he’s dead set w the decision, but as he stands outside of the orphanage, he freezes. he just can’t move

bakugo looks down at his daughter as she opens her eyes for the first time. he sees an identical pair of red eyes that make his chest tight with a feeling he hasn’t experienced in a long time

he turns back around and heads back home. it’s easily the best decision he’s ever made in his life

ngl though, growing into the dad role for bakugo was tough

before the girl, he only ever had to think of himself. he was still used to doing everything on his own time and for his own benefit. so being forced to put 100% of his attention to a small helpless human being was not easy

katsuki admits that the first couple of years weren’t his proudest. he was still short tempered, angry with the world, and frustrated bc he felt like his life was ruined

one time, the frustration and sleep deprivation would hit him all at once and he’d just start going off at the baby to just “shut the hell up!” before breaking down and crying with her

it was a dark moment for him, and yet, even after that, his little girl still curled up in his arms to rest when the tears tired her out

it had been a while since he felt unconditional love like that, and so he decided to change for the baby’s sake

you cant tell me that little girl isn’t spoiled rotten

bakugo is a hardass, but he’s all bark no bite. no matter what, he just can’t resist his little girl’s puppy dog eyes

his daughter is a firecracker. she started sassing him as soon as she could gargle

he pretends he hates it but his daughter is lowkey funny asl

they go at it when they fight. bakugo’s learned to be a little more patient, but he still has a bit of a temper and it doesn’t mix well when his mini-me has the same explosive anger

is the kind of dad that says sorry by asking her what she wants for dinner

they totally talk mess about other heroes together. he ignores the fact that she admires deku as long as she keeps it to herself

emotional talks are...awkward, but he forces himself through it

she finds it embarrassing (yet oddly endearing) that he got kicked out of a PTA club meeting for threatening to light up some mom for saying the art program didn’t matter

his daughter absolutely won’t talk to him about potential love interests unless she wants them coming up missing

bakugo won’t admit to watching baby videos of his daughter when he sends her off to U.A. and no, he didn’t cry, he got dust in his eye

doesn’t bother her too much, but jumps for his phone when he hears her ringtone

kirishima says he getting soft, but that’s just his little princess
