On a scale from one to ten, how toxic is flowey and papyrus's friendship in this au?
Ehhh not that bad
Like a 3-4?? It used to be like an 8 back on the underground
But rn they're on a post pacifist timeline! Flowey is actually trying to get better! But it's hard to change so quickly, old habits can stick
He's not planning anything evil! But he is being manipulative and secretive about it
He know some of the stuff he does is bad, but he doesn't feel like he can change that much for the better, so he's gonna do it anyways!
I think the worst things about what he's doing is being super secretive about it and lying to get what he wants, but he's being like that because he knows that if he screws up this time
He can't reset
And it's gonna stay with him
He's not trying to get rid of one of the only persons that actually talks to him and spends time with him! But he's really really curious about Papyrus' past
#really need to emphasize that this is a post pacifist timeline#and from what we've seen in the few dialogues we have of him being on the surface#he's not that bad#he's not doing any malicious stuff#but he's still flowey#and it's probably going to take him a long time to be fully comfortable and happy and kind again#he's still a little mean but honestly Papyrus is used to that and know that's just how Flowey is akwhwksk#Papyrus really believes in Flowey#can't really say here what Flowey's plan is#because....that's a spoiler....#but uh#It's not SUPER EVIL#but uh he's not gonna ask nicely and directly#he knows that won't work

What If the guys had a kid in college.
college kid calls dad late at night because they are overwhelmed and need him to help them cook a recipe he use to cook for them.
Undertale Sans - He's teleporting right away to help. Now, the thing is that Sans is not the best cook either, so he will do his best lol. He's just happy his big baby still needs him and it's really just an excuse to see them for a bit.
Undertale Papyrus - He's guiding you via video call to the best he can, but eventually, you have to add Undyne to the call... And soon after Toriel to save your kitchen because things were already not that great with Papyrus, but it turned a lot worse with Undyne lol. Never again.
Underswap Sans - Blue gives them his taco recipe and guides them through the process, but he lacks patience and his kid takes too much time, to the point he starts to be a little angry in the end. Please hurry, he's bored and he wants to do other things!
Underswap Papyrus - Who cares about the recipe, what do you mean you're overwhelmed?! Are you sick? Are you in pain? Did you have a bad day? ARE YOU DYING RIGHT NOW?! OH MY GOD, YOU MUST BE DYING DON'T MOVE HE'S COMING!!! Yeah, Honey doesn't live very well with the separation with his baby lmao.
Underfell Sans - ... You mean his still half-frozen quiche? You go to the supermarket, you buy one and you try to make it eatable. He doesn't see what else he can do for you honestly. You sure you got the right number and didn't want to call his S/O instead?
Underfell Papyrus - He's doing it while trying subtly to understand what's going on with you. He doesn't like his child stress-cooking. You don't stress-cook without something stressing you. He wants to help but he knows you got his habit of not saying things because it's too late and he doesn't want to repeat his own mistakes.
Horrortale Sans - Well great, now he's stressed as well because you're stressed. Oak can't focus to give you the recipe, he can hear you're not ok and so he's not ok and keeps asking you if you're alright, more and more distressed. He even uses all of his energy to teleport to you. He just needs to make sure you're fine and alive you know. He can still take the train to go home.
Horrortale Papyrus - He gives you the recipe for one recipe, then get worried you might ask that because you don't know what to cook and feel distressed and then he starts to read his entire cooking book to you so you can have multiple choices. After that, he stresses cooks until he convinces himself you must be starving, and he goes to find you to give you everything he just cooked, he doesn't care if he has three hours of car to reach you.
Swapfell Sans - At the end of your cooking session, you feel even more pressured than you were before calling your dad lol. Nox tries his best to be patient, but you don't have half of the ingredients and your kitchen is a mess, he can't believe you didn't take after him to find what you need easily. A clean space for a clean mind for Toriel's sake! You're lucky he lives far away because he would have come to clean your kitchen and put all your utensils more practically.
Swapfell Papyrus - Uh... Now is the time to confess he actually never cook your favorite nuggets, he only ordered them from McDonald's and put them in the oven to make you believe he did them. You feel so betrayed you have no words. How the hell did you not notice in 17 years? Even Rus is shocked you didn't honestly. He's even a little embarrassed for you. So, uh... Order some nuggets or something?
Fellswap Gold Sans - Well, it's very easy you see. Take your phone, open Google, tap the recipe you want and here you go. Yeah, he's not going to help you. It's almost midnight, he is exhausted and he doesn't want to cook this late in the night. You'll get over what's frustrating you, he raised you like that. You tried lol.
Fellswap Gold Papyrus - You'll never get an answer as Coffee didn't save your new phone number and panicked when he saw a number he didn't know calling him lol. Text him, it will be faster and he prefers write it anyway.

Yan Skeles with a darling whose an escape artist? No matter what the man does---chaining them down, locking the room, around the hour surveillance, etc---their object of affection always somehow escapes.
That's a hilarious idea bro I love it asfjkl
Mafiatale Sans: Sans finds it more funny than anything. He's honestly impressed when you keep escaping in more and more complex ways. He'll definitely make some stupid jokes about you being his little Houdini. It's not like you can escape him for long, though. He practically owns the city, after all, everywhere you go, he'll have eyes there. Don't worry, you'll be back with him soon.
Mafiatale Papyrus: You're going to give him a heart attack! Don't you know how dangerous it is out there? He panics every time he leaves and you're suddenly not there. He almost feels like he can't take his eyes off of you for half a second, or you'll be gone! Oh well, if he has to hold you at all times to make sure you stay by his side, he's more than happy to!
Mafiaswap Sans (Lucky): Lucky is more than a bit angry. Not at you, of course! He's just mad that he can't make a cage that's nice enough, and secure enough to keep you inside! Your skills are very impressive, he can't lie, but can you PLEASE just stay here for longer than a day?
Mafiaswap Papyrus (Slim): Honestly, he thinks it's all super impressive. He might just ask you to teach him! That's good bonding, right? Not to mention, if he knows how you do it, he might be able to stop you. Until then, he enjoys the chase. Not anything upfront, but he'll stalk you for weeks, just letting you see him out of the corner of your eye. Then, just when you think you've escaped for good, that you can go back to your normal life...that's right when he appears to take you back home.
Mafiafell Sans (Butch): He likes this game of cat and mouse a lot more than he should. Butch gets almost too excited when he seems you're gone for the umpteenth time. That just means that he gets to go and hunt you down again~ He gets a huge thrill from the chase, from getting to track you, tease you, let you think you've escaped...just before bringing you right back.
Mafiafell Papyrus (Noir): Noir is...SO frustrated. He knows, logically, that you want to leave, you want to get out, but can you just sit still for FIVE MINUTES??? Even though he wants you to love him, he's going to have to use threats and fear to get you to stay with him. At least, until the Stockholm syndrome kicks in.
Mafiaswapfell Sans (Scar): When you manage to get out, Scar gets...really scary. He gets really quiet, like he's seething under the surface, about to explode. When he gets you back, which will usually take less than a few hours, he won't talk to you for a while. He'll just...stare. His deadly eyes will bore into you while he sits in the corner. It's almost worse than if he were to yell at you, or punish you somehow. It's just...a promise of something worse.
Mafiaswapfell Papyrus (Hound): He just doesn't understand! Why don't you want to stay with him? Why do you keep running away? Don't you love him? True to his name, Hound is extremely good at tracking, so he'll be able to find you pretty quickly every time. When you're safely back in his arms, he'll ask you what you're doing. He's very good at guilt tripping, even if it's unintentional. Hopefully, soon, you'll never want to leave!

I’m now wondering from the “fell and sans with an adopted sibling”I think sans said this but what does sans mean by “pure” and what if sans and fell find out that their little sibling is seeing a human how would their reaction be?Mad,Angry?
Undertale Sans - Classic/sans
Sans has always had an unhealthy view of his siblings, especially after meeting Frisk and all the events that lead to the genocide runs. Life has been rough for him, so to cope with all that he experienced, he started to view his siblings in a different light.
After Sans and Papyrus became practically estranged when arriving on the surface, Sans became even more protective and obsessive over his other sibling. He didn't care if you were actually a bad person or if his view on you was wrong.
Sans finding our that you're dating a human wouldn't really end up well. To Sans, you dating in general would be like a betrayal. You dating a human, something that had caused him so much pain and keeps oppressing them even on the surface? He can't handle it.
Sans will delude himself in every way possible to believe that your partner is bad. He will do anything to make you believe it too. If you're close to him, you probably will eventually believe him, as he starts making up stuff and proof to make you distant from them.
If you were distancing yourself from Sans like Papyrus, then Sans will simply believe that your partner has been brainwashing you and will go out of his way to get your partner in trouble. He will spread the information he fabricated to your partners work place to get them fired, to get them homeless and completely alone.
You may be mad at him, but remember, he's doing all of this to help you. He wants the best for you, that's all. He can't let the human world corrupt you like it corrupted Papyrus.
Underfell Sans - Red
Red is much chiller. He's willing to give your partner a chance, but trust me, he will keep an eye and if he thinks that your partner is some bastard that is just using you as novelty, he will make your partner suffer.
Red is protective over you and Boss. He tries his best to keep everyone safe and happy, even if it can get hard, especially when he wasn't exactly the best person in the underground.
The fact that he started seeking help for his issues after escaping the underground helped him become more well adjusted and less paranoid. He still has his issues, but he's not the type to have issues with someone over no reason.
Red will try to get to know your partner, and see if they are honest with their feelings towards you. Red doesn't need you to suffer heartbreak. If they are not honest with you, it's best that they leave you before you get too attached.
If they are all good, Red will make sure that nothing gets in the way of you two being together and might even join in protests that are fighting to normalize monster/human couples.
If your partner is no good, then trust me, Red will honestly sit you down and talk to you about how shitty your partner is. If you believe him, then that's where it ends, and he won't hurt your ex partner.
If you don't believe him, then as your elder brother, he will do everything in his power to make that bastard leave you, be it alive or in a coffin.

Unfortunately, as much as I love this mod - I mean, it’s beautiful! Just look at it! - it does have a game-crashing bug D: For some reason skeletons can’t get jobs, it crashes the game lol, so as much as I’d love to have Gaster in the Science career, he is a stay-at-home parent! That’s fine, nannies suck in TS2 lol. There’s also only a few clothing options but I’m gonna try some poking around to at least expand upon what’s there already :D
I ended up using the stretchSkeleton cheat - hehe, skeleton - to make Papyrus a bit taller and Sans a bit smaller. It’s only really noticeable in their ankles, and their animations are a bit misaligned, but other than that it’s very cute! :D Sans is also chubby but it’s kinda hard to tell :0
Sans, stop breaking the fourth wall!
Look how little he is compared to his brother hehe
Also, and I did not edit or plan this - they naturally started falling into their relationship dynamics! Gaster and Sans have a much lower Short Term Relationship here than Gaster and Papyrus haha
Would that I could! I was still testing at this point and yup, it crashed. Sadge
Well even if I can’t get the jobs, I can still cheat-unlock the Career Awards! Scientist behaviour lol
Look at their delicate little haaands
Did you know that Gaster sucks? He does!
Oh what are skeletons not your type? Don’t be rude
Sans even rejected him when Gaster offered to dance together! I love them
Gaster’s POV - he was listening to Sans tell a joke and next in the queue Papyrus wanted to show off to him. So accurate haha
Papyrus’ POV, of course he’s friends with both of them, sweet boy
And Sans’, look at how much more he thinks of his brother over Gaster! What more could I ask for honestly
Only concerned with Gaster seeing lol, Papyrus is way closer! He doesn’t count haha
Racecar bed babyyyy
Retextured the outfit for Papyrus, so now they’re much easier to tell apart! :D
Crossover babies ♪ One of the Todds walked by and I just now realized I also gave them a red/blue twin aesthetic haha
And that’s all he’ll want and care about from now on :)
Hehe. He gets it!
Papyrus is bad at making friends! Sans there in the background passively ++ing with Todd lol, he’s a natural
#WPVG#WPTS2#The Sims 2#The Sims#UT#Handplates#Just a bit of silliness! There's only so much I can do with them until I get them some Slightly better clothes haha#You can see I didn't even bother making them a proper house in this lot lol#I also keep accidentally making just ''normal'' Sims in this town - this is meant to be a test town to see clothes and mods in action!#I have made a couple more skeletons dotted around town just to double-triple-quadruple check about getting jobs and yeahhh#One went so sideways that her house caught fire and she died so I had to reload - it was a whole thing lol#But other than the limited clothes and inability to hold down gainful employment - lol - skeletons seem to work just fine :)#Chubbiness on kids is like - barely different pft#There Is a difference but it's so subtle! I guess it's fine#I know there are ways to make specific outfits their own body shape mesh - I wonder if that would be easier or harder for skeletons haha#It's not like I'd be changing the body shape just the way the clothes settle around it#Though I think there is actually a ''physical'' body it's just invisible? It's very strange! I like it#ANYway lol#I did download a couple new coats to see if I could figure out how to reverse-engineer an outfit but so far no success haha#Gonna keep trying! Slowly but surely#Until then it's so fun to see how they all interact and act hehe <3#Papyrus runs everywhere for example - I set his Active to full I think haha - Sans of course is lazy ♪#I could also have babybones or teen skeles - maybe at some point! The clothes...#So much customizable potential and then all the work that goes into it! Haha ♪

She listens to his words patiently, sitting there with him as he told her what he felt. Her face softens as soon as she spots his tears. She lets him finish what he wants to say before scooching closer, sitting by his side. Her hand goes to wipe the tears from his eyes before retreating. She's not all that great at advice. Actually, who is? But even more so on her side since she's not that great at iterating her thoughts. Though, she should try, shouldn't she? Besides, she has a little plan.
I'm not... all that great when it comes to advice. Here's what I think, but take this with a grain of salt, alright?
She says first. Simply as a precaution.
You could.. start to tell your secret to people one by one, instead of going straight to everyone. So that it's not too much all at the same time. I would recommend Sans because he's pretty laidback but considering your history with him, I'm not quite sure.
She takes a deep breath. Fake family. Well, that one's tricky to talk about.
Though, about me and the other askers.. Even if you tell your secret, we won't exactly disappear. Until you decide to stop this whole askblog, you're stuck with us. And I'm pretttyyy hard to get rid of.
She adds the last part with a smile, something to lighten things up a little.
Heck, even without the askblog, I'd still be here, looking over your universe.
She can't tell him that she wouldn't actually be able to. The askblog is a beacon, a sign to creators and askers alike that this universe is approved for interaction by its creator. Without it, she wouldn't be able to access the universe. She would be unable to enter or even gaze in the events of the universe.
But she can't tell him that, now can she?
Though, about the fake family thing... In truth, I honestly don't care whatever you choose as the label for our relationship, other than romance.
She cringes at the last word.
It's up to you what you want to do. Because no matter what you call this, one thing will never change. And that is, you are someone I've grown to care about.
She boops his nose.
And who's to say you can't like it here as Asriel? You can be Azzy or Flowey and we'd all still care for you.
...hopefully. She takes a deep breath. She has an idea and she wants to tell him. And she agreed. So this is alright.
...And about the barrier?
She turns her whole body around to face him fully. She dons a serious face, maintaining eye contact.
I can help you break it.
Asriel: You can?! I mean, of course you can, you're practically a god. If you manage to break it with no suspicion, not only will we finally be on the surface, but I'll probably be free of any royal expectations once I reintroduce myself!
*Asriel scratches the back of his head uncomfortably, as if trying to rub away the doubts that won't stop coming.* The problem is you have nothing to tell them except that you're an entity beyond the code and that's how you can break it. Even if you don't say that it'll be too suspicious if some random human comes and easily smashes it. It took a whole 7 powerful mages to make that wall!
If I'm with mom and/or dad again I probably won't be able to talk as much to you all so no one in this world gets all existential crisis-y... I'll still find some time though! I'm not going to be accompanied all the time. And with Frisk or Papyrus- even sans- it's fine to be around you guys.
Except if it's Sans and Papyrus together. They both know and yet they pretend to be oblivious around each other about this crazy game stuff because they don't want the other to worry... It's so stupid.
Oops, got off-topic. For now, give me more details on breaking the barrier! I'm interested.

Don't Forget
[Sans x Female!Reader]
27: DJ KHALED!!!! (Another One)
♪────✿(✧◕ᴗ◕✧)✿────♪
You unlock the door to Sans’ workshop, and you are pleasantly surprised that it actually worked. He did say it was the key, but still. Maybe you have unresolved trust issues? Ah, but that’s a problem for a future you to worry about.
Sans is already inside, sitting in the pink beanbag while lazily writing some things down in that journal of his. That reminds you, you didn’t actually get to read anything from it yesterday night since you were too preoccupied with something else.
He doesn’t look up when you enter, though you notice him tensing up and faltering with his writing for a moment. You make sure to lock the door behind yourself, smiling awkwardly at him.
“Hey there, bone boy,” You toss the key in your hand, “Did you want this back now?”
Sans raises a bone brow and finally looks up at you, “huh? no, i… i made a spare for you. that’s yours if you want it.”
“Really?”
“figured i can… i trust you enough for you to have it. ‘sides, if we ever need to talk about serious stuff or whatever, we can just do it here now. don’t gotta worry about undyne finding you and thrashing your ass.”
You hum softly while making your way to the other beanbag. “Aw, that’s a shame. I really liked that place in the Waterfalls.”
“oh, uh…” His cheeks flush a very soft pink, barely noticeable were it not for you looking at him so intensely, “then… i guess we can do that. and–you can use this place for anything else, you know? if you just want to chill… by yourself or together. it’s whatever.”
God, he’s so awkward sometimes. You’d think he’d be better at this stuff, but no he’s just as emotionally constipated as every other man you’ve ever spoken to.
“anyway,” The Comic snaps his book shut, “you’re back early, huh?”
“Yeahhh, Pollux noticed I wasn’t all there and basically told me to leave to focus on myself. Seriously, I think you’d like him, he’s really nice! You should come with us tomorrow night and get to know him.”
Sans grimaces at the suggestion, “i think i’m good. one of us gotta be the actual loner.”
“And you’re up awfully early. Papyrus was sure you’re snoozing away right now.”
“heh, can’t blame a guy for getting excited about his old toy working again. but hey, you okay? you said you weren’t all there.”
“Mhm, I guess I was just anxious thinking about that Gaster thing from last night. I couldn’t focus on anything else,” You tell him honestly.
“great, ‘cause that’s what i wanted to talk to you about.”
With a sigh as if it causing him great inconvenience, Sans gets up from the beanbag to get closer to the machine. It was still on, but the screen was showcasing something different that you weren’t sure how to describe. You might be a smart cookie, but you’re not Sans smart, and you’re certainly not smart enough to understand the things he specializes in.
“i was messing around with it this morning–a little after you went to work. pretty cool, right? look at me go, being productive and all that.”
“Wow.”
“anyway, i realized that it’s not… 100% working just yet,” He leans an arm on the console of the machine, looking at it longingly like it’s an old friend, “i still need to do some fixing up on my part. on the bright side, it really shouldn’t take too long to get it to proper working order. i’m pretty sure gaster did most of the work, the rest of it is pretty superficial.”
You nod along to his words, not really getting the deeper meaning behind them but hoping he feels heard anyway. No, actually you can comprehend enough that it’s not fully working, but that’s about it.
“That’s great, right? That means you can boogie and do your thing soon.”
“half right. based on the set number of coincidences, and perfect alignments that involve you, i think it’s clear that both you and myself are supposed to use it together.”
“Ahh, okay. So, we’re gonna get roped up in some wacky adventures!” You stand up and put your hands on your hips, “Quick question, bone boy.”
“‘sup?”
“What exactly does it do? Er–what is it supposed to do?”
“it was a personal passion project of mine before gaster… you know. anyway, i call it the dj.”
“…The DJ.”
His grin turns mischievous and full of schemes: “the dimensional jumper.”
“…Okay, fine. That one was good,” You grin back, “Wait a damn minute. A Dimensional Jumper? This machine…!”
“yeee-up. this bad boy can take us to different alter–or in your words, different au’s and different timelines. once i get it fixed up, you can expect us to visit our first au, so you gotta be ready for that.”
You blink owlishly like a frog, “Are you serious?! Isn’t that a little…”
Isn’t that too fictional and crap? You can come to terms that you’re practically living that fan-fiction life, but going to different Au’s?! Also, is that even safe for you two?! What about the laws of time travel and crap!!
“Wait, why do we have to go there in the first place?” You ask him, because you know, that’s a vital point of this in the first place.
To your horror, Sans just shrugs, “no clue. but…”
Sans has to remove his gloves to use the terminal, stuffing his cute pink gloves in his pockets. Whatever the fuck he types makes the screen change, going back to the previous screen from last night that showed the different AU’s and timelines. The flashing dot was still there, blinking away lazily.
“my theory is that gaster is trying to lead us to somewhere, to this au. i don’t know what what we’re supposed to do or how we’re supposed to do it, but whatever it is we’ll probably figure it out once we’re there.”
You wince, “That sounds really risky. What if it takes us days or weeks to do what we need to do? What are we gonna tell our friends? What about Papyrus?”
“one thing at a time, [y/n], don’t stress it. the dj isn’t even working yet, so let’s worry about all that stuff later,” The skeleton then bumps your arm with his bony hands. “on the plus side, papyrus isn’t completely clueless on this stuff, either. he doesn’t care about all this like i do, but he’s caught up with my space and time shenanigans.”
…Oh yeah. In the Pacifist route, there was a secret you could get about Sans’ room that let you learn about the workshop in the first place. Papyrus saved you from the treadmill saying how Sans liked to prank across space and time.
Cool facts.
“Sounds good but, Sans,” You gesture to the screen, “Which AU is this? I mean, I know about a few of them, but at a very surface level.”
Sans fingers are hard and pointy, and when they press against the buttons it makes a very satisfying clicky-clacky noise.
Nice.
The screen zooms into that enlarged into that particular AU. Folders and folders appear on the screen, and when Sans hovers over one it opens up and even more files jump out of it for you to read. The text was too small for you to really comprehend what you were seeing, but Sans was kind enough to just tell you anyway.
“oh, this one is one of the older au’s. everyone’s personalities and roles gets swapped with each other.”
You widen your eyes and smile big, “Oh, my gosh! Wait, this is UnderSwap!”
“pfft–ah-ha ha ha! wow, you’re also a huge dork too!” He snickers, “of course you’d have a name for the au.”
“Okay, I get it, I get it,” You roll your eyes, “But anywho, the first stop is UnderSwap?”
“yeah, sure. do i gotta tell you the important rules of dj-ing, or do you know the gist of it?”
“Dude, the most I know about anything related to time travel or universe jumping is Back to the Future.”
“…so, no?”
“So, no.”
“hmm.” Sans leans against the machine, careful not to press against any buttons, “it’s not really as complicated as they make it in the movies, i swear. also, this isn’t time traveling per say, so we don’t got as many rules, either.”
You raise an eyebrow and smirk knowingly, “‘Per say,’ but there is a grey area.”
“look at you, einstein,” Sans smiles cheekily while patting your shoulder, “i really don’t think we gotta worry about that now, especially in this au. so we’ll get back to that later.”
“Alright, alright. So, the rules?”
“unless it’s another me, or in this universe, i guess it’d be papyrus, no one can know about the au’s. seriously. don’t tell ‘em where we came from, who we really are, or how we got there.” Sans pauses for a moment, “actually, it’s best if we avoid the other me altogether. if they found out we got our dj working, they might try getting me to do the same to theirs.”
You hiss, “Oooh, and it won’t be that simple…”
“right, cause my guess is, they don’t have a you,” Sans crosses his arms, “i guess… wow, yeah. this is an au…”
“An AU or timeline? I think this is an alternate timeline, no? There’s nothing else that’s different so far, only that I exist.”
“...i think you’re right. this timeline changed irrevocably the moment you were inserted. but the fact that we will be going to the other au’s with you existing, does that not make this a whole new au in itself?’
“Okay, Socrates. Let’s not think too hard about that before we just go in circles or implode,” You pat his back with a sympathetic nod, “Short story long, avoid the “you’s” in the other AU’s and timelines, and just keep our DJ-ing secret in general.”
“yep, yep.”
“But what if we need help? Oh-ho! Or what if the fucking goal of the mission is some metaphorical shit like: ‘friendship was the real treasure the whole time’?”
The monster snorts and shakes his head, “if it really is something corny, then we’ll figure it out once we get there. next rule… hm, never stray too far from me. i get the feeling you’re no push over, but we don’t really want you to have to go too far if you need to protect yourself.”
“Aww, so you’ll be my knight in shiny, tinfoil armor?” You bat your eyelashes dramatically while clasping your hands together by your head, “Oh, Sans. You’re so romantic.”
He shrugs with a blush, going along with it, “i do okay.”
“Next rule?”
“uhh… oh. don’t do anything that would dramatically affect future events of the au or timeline. i feel like that’s a given, but it’s harder than you’d think. after all, take us for example. i know you changed a lot just by showing up.”
You puff out your cheeks, “You’re right, I guess… Man, I didn’t realize-”
“-don’t tell me you’re gonna fall into a self-pity party. come on,” Sans nudges your arm, “it’s not your fault you’re just so cool and amazing, you can’t help but fuck up a timeline just by walking in a room.”
“…”
“…”
“…”
“…”
Is Sans… Was that Sans’ attempt at flirting?
“Were you just trying to flirt? Was that flirting?”
His face flushes a deeper pink, his eyes avoiding you while his smile wobbles.
“oh, come on. was it that bad?”
You laugh, unable to help your teasing, “It wasn’t baaaad, but I know you can do so much better than that. Put more backbone into it.”
“ouch,” Sans puts a hand to his chest, “i guess i gotta up my game. and here i thought you liked it better when i was fully authentic.”
“Mehh, a little fairy-tale romance is nice,” You playfully shake his shoulder, “Anywayyy, we keep getting off track. Any other rules I should know about DJ-ing?”
“not that i can remember. you make me head empty.”
…Sure, that one was a little better.
“Alright, little buddy.”
“please don’t call me little buddy when i’m trying to flirt with you.”
“How about lil’ bro then?”
“that’s even worse, actually.”
“You never like my ideas.”
“when have i ever-”
“-SANS!”
“oh, my god–what?”
“Focus.”
He sighs in defeat.
“no, i really can’t think of any other rules. but in the meantime, i suggest you start prepping to get ready for an adventure. at this rate, i’d give us…” Sans pulls back his sleeve but the man isn’t even wearing a watch, ”about another two to three weeks before i have this working.”
“Awesome possum, I’ll talk to Grillby and Pollux about giving me a vacation. Eugh, not a good look to ask for vacation days already, but it is what it is. Oh!” You clap your hands together suddenly, making him flinch, “By the way, I wanted to ask about that notebook from yesterday? I never actually got to read it since we got so distracted.”
Again, he blushes and looks away, “yeah, about that. i uh, i changed my mind. i only gave it to you in case i needed to convince you that i wasn’t lying about the timeline and resets and all that.”
“Oh? Don’t tell me you’re embarrassed about it.”
“ah-hem. so, you said before you have two brothers, right?”
What a terrible transition to topics. Still, you’re nice and merciful, so you let it slide. Besides, you love talking about your precious brothers and abuse any opportunity to yapp about them.
“So true, bestie. Let me tell you about the time Alejandro and Noah accidentally stole a couple of penguins from the Zoo.”
“…wait, what?”

I'm always constantly torn on several directions when it comes to how to portray Levi and Edge's relationship. Like, I love the idea of her being an incredibly gruff but ultimately caring mentor, sort of, but with the way things are in my uf, it doesn't seem to suit. I think she'd honestly take a similar approach to Sans almost in that she'd feel compelled to create distance more than anything. One, to keep herself safe and not too attached to him, and two, to not encourage Papyrus's own softness. Especially in the versions where Papyrus didn't pursue becoming a guard and was forced into it.
It's really difficult to find a good balance between the fact I think she would, reluctantly, still really care about him, and her own troubled upbringing/using harsh methods to keep him tough. Even in the versions Papyrus did willingly join, he does try hard to be merciful, a protector. Maybe it doesn't mean much at the end of the day, but the little differences can be just as important to him. And that would undoubtedly frustrate Undyne.
Especially given a lot of how things are involves the idea that they need to toughen up, strengthen themselves, so when the war against human comes, they'll be prepared. Papyrus's determination to help and protect 'isn't doing anyone any favors'. Even though Undyne herself frequently doubts and questions, she's learned not to let that hamper her. So Papyrus's 'stubbornness' grates against this terribly.
I think there's also a chance she may even resent him a little. Probably wouldn't even necessarily be aware of it, but I don't doubt she feels a significant amount of pressure from Asgore to conform, especially given everything he's done for her. She wants to side with him, even when it's difficult. But Papyrus. He stays true to himself, despite her efforts, Asgore's efforts, even his own brother's. And he 'gets away with it'. I'd imagine his disobedience antagonizes her all the more because of this.
He was so young when he joined/was forced into it, I can't imagine she didn't know, even if he lied. There's no way she doesn't at least have some protective streak for him. And even a reluctant admiration of his commitment to his own rules.
It's just so hard to strike a good balance between them where it's not too close and caring, but you can tell, despite the ice frozen thickly over top it, that it's there.
#undyne papyrus friendship you mean the world to me#I think they'd wind up a lot closer after surfacing. At least in some versions#levi and void actually wind up pretty close when applicable#sun spots#uf edge#uf levi#underfell papyrus#underfell undyne

My favourite interpretation of Sans that I've never actually seen much is the idea that... Okay, he's pretty much given up on most things, like stopping the resets, going back home etc. but there's that TINY part of him that's just like, "nah, you haven't given up yet, have you?" And he's trying so hard to bury that part of him or ignore it cuz it scares him or something. Like, he just wants to relax! Stop giving him anxiety, tiny bit of hope! Eventually he can't ignore it anymore and...
Well, it can go in two or three ways.
The best possible outcome is to rekindle and nurture what's left of Sans' hope. We just gotta draw it out somehow. This is where the Pacifist Route comes in. Either that or the Family neutral ending, where we spare and befriend everyone but we don't enter Alphys' lab. I guess that throughout the Pacifist Route, we do all that sparing and befriending jazz, and from a monster's perspective, it's purely inspirational, especially after a long history of hostility between the two races. Can you imagine the kind of effect our kindness could have on the almost hopeless? On someone like Sans, who firmly believes that he's given up on everything, but there's still that tiny part of him that wants to hold on, to continue? Sans' hope seems to be a fragile little thing that needs a lot of care in order to blossom. And with the Pacifist Route, we have the opportunity to do that.
Of course, there's also the option to destroy the little bit of hope Sans has left with some of the more gruesome Neutral Routes, especially ones where we kill Papyrus. Like the Leaderless ending, for instance. Here, Sans has fallen completely into despair. He's shown signs of bitterness and coldness, which isn't completely foreign to him, but it's heartbreaking for that to come from such a warm-hearted character. He's completely given up here. Brought to the absolute brink of despair from our actions.
Now, the Genocide Route is a... unique case. It's kind of a mixture of both? We put everyone through the wringer, causing as much pain as possible. We kill Sans' friends and the last remaining family he has. Surely he has fallen into despair. But then there's that funny thing he does where he fights us at the end, hoping that it would get us to go back and fix everything. Oddly enough, he seems to have fallen into despair and gained hope at the same time? It's almost like, what's the word...? Oh yeah. Desperation. It's not just about trying to stop us from destroying the world, it's not just about fixing everything and bringing back his brother, but it's also about holding onto that little spark inside of him. With this interpretation, he may be scared of hoping, but he's also scared to lose that last remaining bit of hope he has left. That could be one factor in why Sans even bothers to fight us at all. His hope, it's fragile, it's scary, but it's also important.
Honestly, I kind of see Sans as a sort of wounded optimist. Like, when despair hits, it hits HARD. And I'm guessing this is because he used to be such a big, genuine optimist before. I mean, come on! If you believe in the theory that Sans raised Papyrus, then where do you think Papyrus got it from? Sans strikes me as a guy who's desperately trying to see the good in everything. Even in the Genocide Route, he does this. Not only with the sparing trick, but there's a few points before you fight kill Papyrus where Sans tries to see the positive. For example, if you check the crossword and not skip it, he says that you can't be all bad if you like crosswords. Sweetie, no...
Sans is a strange guy. It's like he's constantly toeing the line between hope and despair, and even he doesn't know which side to go on. On one hand, hope is terrifying. It's easier to expect the worst than to hope for the best and end up feeling disappointed. But on the other hand, he needs that buried optimism. He has to find reasons to keep going, to move forward, to persevere. It's heartbreaking. He comes off as such a positive person, always smiling and joking around, wanting to make his friends happy (and I'm almost certain his goofiness isn't a complete facade, either, but that's a post for another time), so it hurts even more that someone like that is struggling so much.
Anyway, this was supposed to be a post about an interpretation of Sans that I like, but it ended up becoming some sort of analysis. Oh, well. I guess I'll just end it here.

"Papyrus, sit still! I'm gonna accidentally poke your eye out! ..Wait."
"I WOULD NOT FEEL IT IF YOU POKED MY EYE SOCKET."
"Yeah, I guess that's not a worry with you."
"...."
"But, really, stop moving! I'm gonna mess it up!"
paps has never been the kind of person who's able to be still for very long, and getting his face painted hasn't been any exception.
he really only sits still when focused on something, so i glanced around for anything i could hand him to keep his hands busy.
'a book?
maybe a-'
that train of thought was interrupted by an
"Oops."
followed by a paint sponge dropping into my eye socket.
"...Sans. I dropped the sponge in your eye."
"yeah. i can t-"
frisk started to jam their hand inside, trying to get it out.
"kid-"
"stop-"
"Got it."
"....."
"You good?"
"don't-"
"don't do that ever again."
"Sorry. Did it hurt?"
"kinda just intrusive."
"you gotta ask next time before you start shovin' your hands in someone's skull, ok?"
"Sorry."
"..what're you painting so close to my eye, anyway?"
"You'll see."
they resumed painting with a concentrated look on their face.
"Papyrus."
"YES?"
"If you don't stop moving,"
undyne slapped her hand on his shoulder.
"I'm going to buckle you in place."
"hey, no buckling my brother to chairs."
"besides, there's a better solution than that."
"hold on a moment, kiddo. i'll be right back."
yep, right where they always are.
a neat arrangement of solved puzzle cubes in different colors and patterns sits proudly displayed on papyrus' desk.
i picked one and headed back downstairs.
"What did you get?"
"YES, WH-"
"HEY??"
"WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO MY BEAUTIFUL DISPLAY, GREATLY PRESENTING MY OWN PUZZLING APTITUDE?!"
papyrus took the scrambled cube from me, and began flipping the sides immediately.
seemed to work, because i didn't hear undyne tell him off even once after that.
——
"Aaaaaannndddd... done!"
"Wait, close your eyes again."
"ok."
frisk added a little more above my eye.
"NOW done."
"cool. what is it?"
frisk flipped a little makeup mirror to face me.
"whoa."
"Whoa?"
they'd painted blue butterfly wings around my eye sockets. frisk's concentrated face while painting made a lot more sense now.
"honestly?"
"i fully expected to be a clown."
"I thought about it, but that's too obvious."
"Plus, I wanted to actually try painting something good."
"Whoa. That's cool."
frisk looked proud of their handiwork.
"done with papyrus' yet?"
"Yeah. Awesome, right?!"
undyne took the mirror from frisk and aimed it at paps.
"OOH!"
"...(WHAT IS IT?)"
"(Fire.)"
"COOL!!"
frisk made a face.
"Do you guys not know any adjectives other than 'cool'?"
"OF COURSE I DO!! I ALSO KNOW 'SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS'!!!"
with a confused look, undyne turned to me.
"Is that even a real word??"
"yep."
"OF COURSE IT IS. HE TAUGHT IT TO ME, AND SANS KNOWS LOTS OF BIG WORDS!!"
"What does that mean, anyway?"
"IT'S USED TO DESCRIBE SOMETHING THAT IS VERY COOL!!"
"All those letters just to say 'cool' again????"
"NO, IT-
"...WAIT, YOU'RE RIGHT. THAT IS JUST 'COOL' AGAIN BUT WITH THIRTY EXTRA LETTERS."
"We GOTTA learn some new ways to describe things."
"Sans! What's another word for 'cool'?"
"magnificent?"
"No."
"stupendous?"
"No!"
"extraordinary?"
"No."
"splendiferous?"
"Why are they all so long?!"
frisk held up their phone.
"Hold on, Toriel wants to see the face paint. Pose!"
paps and undyne put up matching peace signs automatically.
"CAN WE SEE THE PICTURE?"
"Yeah, here."
"......"
"cool."
frisk slapped their palm to their forehead.
——
he was at it for the rest of the night, but papyrus did re-solve his puzzle cube.
i think i'll get him another one soon.

this is a recount of my reactions throughout the following video:
“Oh! A negative Undertale review? And it was made around the time people were getting tired of it? I know a lot of popular things go through that stage where everyone hates on it for some reason, but I’m sure it has to contain a few valid points, at least.”
“Oh, the… comments are disabled. Ok, maybe he had em off by default, or he was just swarmed by rabid fans! I know the fans were a bit crazy in the early days. I’ll just look in the description, there’s usually an explanation there.”
Comments disabled because I'm very, very tired of the same old crap being said over and over, plus it's apparently against the law for a creator to comment on their own video after a certain amount of time.
“Ok, guess that settles it. [scrolls down a bit more, for curiosity’s sake]”
UPDATE: I can't say I've missed the comment section for this video one bit. Having zero interaction with Undertale fanatics, their zoomer style morals and their speaking habits has been utterly wonderful.
“…well, I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t a bit of a red flag, but I still believe you can make a good video!”
“Ok, the intro was good, and I’m glad he said he didn’t have anything against fans!”
“Good basic plot synopsis… Ah, he doesn’t like Earthbound, that explains some things.”
“Wait, he didn’t like Earthbound for its boring combat? That’s one of the things that Undertale improved on though!”
“That’s fair, gameplay is incredibly important to a game. (it’s called gameplay for a reason lol)”
“What do you mean there isn’t any depth to Undertale compared to “the average JRPG”? Aren’t most of the more traditional jrpgs just your move, enemy move, your move, enemy move ad nauseam? Honestly, I think Undertale has more depth involved, because even with your normal attack, there’s a little minigame you have to do for more damage, which changes with each weapon you equip!”
“Ok, fine, that’s one point I don’t think was that good. But hey, maybe he just plays a ton of mechanically in-depth jrpgs, and i’m uneducated, I’m willing to admit I’ve not played many jrpgs myself. Plus, I’m only a couple of minutes in, the points can only get better from here, surely!”
“Ok, that is fair, the game is pretty easy (at least on the non-geno routes), and both sparing and killing normal enemies is pretty easy too.”
“While the bosses have some of the most interesting patterns in the game, I’d say that another interesting thing in this game is when more than one enemy is in the same encounter together, so their patterns are added together. Makes for a more engaging fight, imo.”
“Firstly, Toriel is literally the first boss in the game, of course she’d be less deadly than the rest. Second, the only real mechanical differences between Papyrus capturing you, and actually killing you is you respawn somewhere else, your items don’t come back, and he remembers you lost to him. Otherwise, it’s functionally the exact same as dying. Lastly, being unable to die in the Adriel fight is meant to be an engaging ad powerful moment, but once again, it doesn’t really matter, as the fight uses a somewhat sparse checkpoint system, restarting you at the last checkpoint you hit. Which functions, once again, pretty similarly to actually dying. Only difference being you restart from in the battle itself, rather than at your save point.”
“I assume he’s talking about the sans boss fight being the only fight being somewhat challenging. But he did say it was “on the route to” the worst ending, and not at the end of it, so maybe he just misgendered Undyne? Regardless, I’d still say there are 2-3 actually challenging bosses in the game (sans, Undying, and Asgore) (also to some extent Omega Flowey but the game rigs the fight so much in your favor it’s almost funny).”
“Simple puzzles? tell that to the core spaceship puzzles lol”
“Something tougher or more inventive? Doesn’t the game come up with me puzzles and overworld things every section?”
“Glad to hear he isn’t against story. Also yeah the AA games are great.”
“That’s an interesting way of judging a game, asking yourself ‘Would I like this game if it was a person?’”
“aaand he’s just bashing on tumblr users and “sjw”s now. i will give him one thing though, he’s right, if Undertale was a person, it would use tumblr.”
“I feel like saying the games’ characters are just caricatures is a bit “missing the forest for the trees” so to speak.”
“Except some of Papyrus’s traps do work? And him being a lovable dim-witted goofball makes him a really likable character imo.”
“Surprisingly, I didn’t get a vibe of “internet savvy” from a lot of the game, except for like, Alphys and her anime stuff.”
“Oh, right, the Temmies do talk like that, which is sorta indicative of the internet I guess.”
“w
what
are you telling me,
that you don’t like sans
because he says the word
“welp”??
not only that, but you imply that the word welp is some “new fangled slang” instead of a word that’s been in use for as long as i can remember??? i feel like i just got slapped into an alternant timeline by a whole roll of salami. did i miss when “welp” was young person/internet slang or is this guy just unhinged?”
“bro… why are u comparing alphys with francis from super paper mario bro, the game is 10 ears older than ut bro. bro why are you making it about gender when they’re just different characters bro. also alphys was originally a guy iirc bro. stop making this weird bro”
“yea ur right, a lot of ppl don’t like alphys because she’s annoying (fair but still)”
“that’s the thing. if you don’t find the characters interesting or engaging on even a surface level, you are not the target audience. period.”
“actually there’s technically a few neutral endings where it’s heavily implied she kills herself, so yeah you can (technically) kill alphys …why am j even talking about this”
“the only time the game really hammers home how much of a piece of shit you are for killing monsters, is in the genò route and i’m sorry, you can call that route many things, but “self defense” is not one of them. all sans does in the neutral route is tell you the true meaning of EXP and LOVE, and asks you to reflect, before dipping and saying he’s rooting for you, (unless you killed his brother but, you litterally can’t kill papyrus before he spares you, so that kill wasn’t in self-defense either). also, you can spare enemies when you attack them enough, so attacking “in self-defense” is actually rewarded with a spare! and if the enemy is straight up allowing you to spare them, basically telling you they don’t wanna fight no more, killing them then is not in self-defense anymore. this is such a shallow point, it feels more like a gut reaction than an actual criticism”
“you make fun of people saying welp, then out of nowhere drop the word “mawkish”, that’s kinda funny. but seriously, of course the endings not gonna effect you, you fuckin moron! you aren’t attached to any of the characters! which is litterally what the story rides on!”
“the fuck do you mean ‘tries too hard’”
“boiling undertales story down to “friendship is magic” is almost as bad a take as boiling it down to “killing is bad”. plus, what? do you want games about bringing our fellow man down instead of lifting them up?”
“damn, i guess i was almost right on the money huh?”
“once again. the lesson of undertale is not just “killing is bad”, nor is it just “rpg leveling systems are bad”, good god what are you smoking, and can you tell me what it is so i can stay as far away from it as possible? thanks! the game never said you shouldn’t enjoy this type of gameplay, nor is it saying you should feel bad if you do. all it’s trying to do is answer the questions “what if i could solve these battles peacefully” and “how would rpg characters, and their world, react to you grinding them?” nothing less,”
“no. not every part of every video game is designed to be fun. sometimes it’s designed to make a point (a la ut geno route), sometimes it’s to make the player deliberately feel uncomfortable and question their actions (a la spec ops the line), sometimes it’s to exploit players into spending money on microtransactions (a la almost every mobile game ever). in short, it’s not always about the fun, whoisthisgit… it’s about the mETS BABY LOBE THE METS ALRIGHT BABY GET A HOME RU”
“wow, it’s over…”
“…”
“…damn i really hate that guy.”
i hope you enjoyed this decent into madness, i sure didn’t
if you’re ok with giving this guy like $0.0002 in ad revenue, i’d recommend watching the video while reading my comments, theyle make a lot more sense then
welp, buy

I feel like people misinterpreted sans character
Like everyone knows sans. The fanon sans, the sans that has one blue eyes, hates Chara, is a scientist and hardworking one at best and depressed and ect...
But that isn't sans
Sans is Lazy.
Like why does papyrus always tell sans to pick up his sock. Because sans is too lazy to pick it up (and he probably also does that to annoy paps like siblings does) he it too lazy to be a science again or works in general. And he probably doesn't like confrontation. Like in that scene when undyne was chasing you and sans didn't you anything. He didn't want to do anything, thanks laziness (I'm sure we all have done something similar like this)
Sans is not depressed. Just a pessimistic like if we take fanon depressed sans and put him with canon sans, I'm sure canon sans will just make puns at him and try to talk it through with him
Sans is a talker
Like in geno route he talks to you and tries to get you to the good side again, why do you think his eye is light blue. And in Undertale light blue means patience. meaning he is waiting for you to reset and do a pacifist route. Not mercilessly kills you until you give up and reset
Why does so many people uses sans blue eyes in genocide routes when in theory his eye should be yellow for justice since he is giving monster kind justice for being slaughtered
If we use fanon sans backstory that he raised papyrus. Wouldn't papyrus have the same mind set as sans, children copy what they see and if sans was like fanon sans then papyrus would act like fanon sans.
Instead papyrus believes that you can change your ways and be a better person if you try. And when I said sans is a talker I meant that, he taught papyrus that people can change if they want to and papyrus took that to heart and tells us "you can be a better person if you try" " I still believe in you" meaning he believes that if we try to change then we will change and sans seems like we will be able to do that
Sans is a prankster and a comedian.
You know how people make sans serious. Well in the game he can be serious yes. But he is mostly joking or pranking. Like the whoopee cushion in the hand joke. He a mischievous little [sheep] at times (you can see it with papyrus)
FOR THE LOVE OF WHATEVER YOU BELIEVE IN. HE MAKES PUNS
I know some of y'all doesn't or don't know how to make puns (me included) but at least make it so he jokes around like how you joke around with your friends
(honestly idk why I made this or did this, I just checked my Tumblr today and this was here)

Idk if this has been asked but ummmm UF, SF and HT skellies with an infertile S/O? (Who had made it clear from the start)
I did the main boys because the ones you choose are happy with no children anyway ahah.
Undertale Sans - It's fine, but as time passes and you grow closer, that is something that he might regret a little. It's fine, you can still adopt and everything, but bonding with a child inside your womb would have been nice too. He's never saying that to you, however, and especially if it's a touchy subject for you. Sans is always careful to not trigger his S/O and he can perfectly live without children anyway.
Undertale Papyrus - It's ok to not have children of your own (he's not a big fan of making babies anyway) but he would love to adopt some and will try to explain to you with a 520-page PowerPoint why it's a good idea to adopt. He's motivated. Pretty please?
Underswap Sans - That's absolutely not a problem for him. He thinks children kinda hold you back and prevent you from doing fun things together. He likes to take his S/O on adventures and having to renounce to that for a kid would sadden him. He's not exactly a good father figure anyway.
Underswap Papyrus - He's disappointed because Honey really wants children on his own. He doesn't blame you, instead, he tries to find other ways. He knows all monsters can technically bear children so, uh... Why not? That's not something he planned in his life and that's not something a lot of male monsters do so they're not a lot of info on the subject, which is making him anxious. But, uh, luckily, Underswap Undyne is also one of his best friends and the scientist is close enough to a doctor? He knows Alphys would be ecstatic to work on this too. It's just an idea. But you know if you ever want to...
Underfell Sans - He doesn't mind either. Having a baby is scary anyway and he's clearly not ready yet to be a father. Maybe after a few years, you two could talk about adoption, but for now Red is really fine being the only baby in the house. And anyway, if you want to mommy something, there's Edge. He never had a mom so feel free to try. You're not sure about that idea honestly.
Underfell Papyrus - It depends on what you think about this. If you don't mind not having any kids, that's fine for him too. If later in your relationship you feel like adopting or using a third person to make a baby, it's fine too. He can even be convinced to bear the baby, but with a lot of talking because that kinda terrorizes him honestly. Edge is not difficult and adjusts to his S/O.
Horrortale Sans - Well, he is infertile too thanks to what Undyne did to him so... That happened. Oak is fine living like this, but if you even brought up adoption, he would gladly accept too. He loves kids, he's just a little nervous about... You know... His memory problems. He doesn't mind and lets his S/O's choose. He doesn't want to pressure them anyway.
Horrortale Papyrus - He's ok with that. He doesn't know if he's infertile with everything that happened to Underground, and he doesn't trust himself enough to have children for now. He's not sure he will be able to do everything a normal father is supposed to do with his disabilities and it's making him nervous. But after a few years, he's a little more ready to talk about this if you want to adopt. He just needs some reassurance it's going to be fine.
Swapfell Sans - He kinda forgot children were a thing that could happen after a few years of relationship and was very surprised when you said to him you're infertile. Ok? What do you want him to do with this info? Oh. He never thought he could be in love someday, so not having children is absolutely not a problem. If you ever want to adopt, you're going to need to prepare him to the idea for a few months lol.
Swapfell Papyrus - He's not sure what the hell you mean because your soul clearly is, he checked. ... He then realizes you're talking about making a physical baby and feels very stupid. Uh. That's ok though because he can be pregnant sort of? If you want a kid, just ask him and he does it, right? Rus doesn't mind at all carrying a child. He actually already planned to sort of do that for Undyne and Alphys since Alphys is infertile. So, uh, it's just one more baby? Why not? You have to sit. That's a lot of weird info you didn't expect all of the sudden.
Fellswap Gold Sans - He doesn't want children anyway so it's really fine for him. Knowing he doesn't have to expect a surprise baby is actually sort of comforting and he's more relaxed in your relationship. Have you seen him anyway? You think he's a father figure?
Fellswap Gold Papyrus - He's fine with it as well. He's not comfortable having children yet and he's too attached to his S/O to give place yet to other members of his family. Maybe later he would be ok to adopt, even though the thought is terrifying him at the moment.

Chapter two
Chris woke up to the sound of the broom sweeping the floor. It was probably eight in the morning, and the kid had a hard time processing that they were in a different room.
“Oh, good morning, Chris!!! I hope I didn’t wake you up” It was Papyrus, who gave them a bright smile, still sweeping.
“Good morning! I’m not sure what woke me up, honestly”
“I guess I will have to force Sans to get out of bed. I don’t want to eat breakfast without him”
“I can wait a little bit”
“Alright then”
Chris splashed water on their face and went downstairs to sit on the couch. Papyrus was still cleaning his room, so they couldn't ask him for permission to watch TV. They decided to turn on the TV anyway, and wait for Papyrus's reaction. The first thing that appeared on the screen was a specific channel, in which a robot was presenting the news. The strange thing about that was that, instead of presenting relevant and chaotic news as Chris expected, this robot presented the craziest and most absurd news. They stared at the screen, confused, before hearing Papyrus’s voice upstairs.
“I see that you’re watching the Mettaton show, Chris!” he said, happily “I love that show”
He tried to finish cleaning quickly so he could sit next to the child, and talk with them about Mettaton, and his opinions on some stuff that was happening on screen, and some anecdotes.
“So my bestie’s girlfriend, Alphys, made Mettaton years ago” he was telling them, for example “She made Mettaton the first robot with a soul!!! Alphys is also trying her best to find a peaceful solution so we monsters can go to the surface!! Undyne is very proud of her. Undyne is my bestie, by the way, I can’t believe I didn’t told you about Undyne!!!”
“Mornin’ “ they both heard, and when they looked up, they saw Sans yawning, about to go downstairs.
“Oh, good morning, Sans! You woke up earlier today. Just a little” Papyrus said, with a sly smile.
“Yeah. When I heard you two talking, I knew I had to get outta bed if I didn’t want you to yell at me” he said, with a chuckle.
“You are getting good at predicting the future, brother” Papyrus said, and he got up from the couch “I must prepare breakfast now”
While Papyrus was in the kitchen, Sans sat next to Chris.
“How are you doing, kid? Didja sleep well here?” he asked, and the kid nodded “Good, good… Now we'll have to think what to do with you when we go to work. Maybe you should see the queen and stay there”
“But I don’t know where is she”
“I can take you there if you want to”
“I can hear you, Sans!!” his brother said, while making pancakes in the kitchen “You just want to get rid of them!!!”
“I’m just asking. They can stay home if they want”
“We’ll talk about that later! Now, set the table, Sans!”
Sans just used his magic to unfold a table, and put it in front of the kitchen. Then, he just closed his eyes, probably trying to nap a bit.
“Sans I told you to-!!! Arghhhh, whatever!!!”
Chris got up to help, but Papyrus ended up setting the table all by himself.
“You can use your magic to help me more, Sans” he said, with an exasperated sigh.
“But I can’t!” Sans whined, more to mess with his brother than anything else.
“Of course you can, bonehead!!”
“No, I’m not strong enouuuuugh…”
“Stop acting like a child and sit down!!”
Sans sat down, with a smile. Papyrus was serving the pancakes, irritated, before sitting as well.
Chris noticed how Sans was pouring ketchup… on the pancakes. Then, the skeleton smashed his face into the food. Chris kept staring at him, thinking they had seen it all. Then, they looked at Papyrus, who was picking up a whole pancake with his fork, and taking a bite. He noticed them and smiled at them brightly. Chris smiled back and started eating. They thought the brothers were hilarious, and they were feeling genuinely happy.
“So, where do we leave the kid?” Sans said, wiping the ketchup off his face with a tissue.
“What do you mean?” his brother asked, still eating.
“We have to work” “Oh, true… Well, they can’t be home alone…”
“You have to train with Undyne today, it’ll be messy if you take the kid with you. I’m just gonna be on the sentry station. I think I should take the kid with me”
“Are you sure, brother?” Papyrus asked, worried “Are you going to take good care of them?”
“Just trust me. I took care of you when we were kids and you turned out decent”
“Decent, huh?” he couldn’t help but smile, even if he wanted to be pissed at him “Okay, I will trust you. Make sure you return home with them”
“I’ll”
“You mean ‘I will’ ?”
“Yeah, sorry, I was feeling too lazy to say it correctly”
“Ugh, you are a mess…”
“But I’m your mess, right?” Sans smiled at him.
“I do not want to associate with any messes, thank you!!” his brother exclaimed, frowning “But… Well, I suppose you’re technically my mess since we are associated by the power of brotherhood…”
Sans laughed, finishing his pancakes.
“I guess we should head out, then” he said, looking at Chris “So you can get ready for training in peace, Paps”
“Alright, but come home early. And don’t take the human to that stupid bar!!!”
“Uh-huh. Well, come on, kiddo” Sans said, and Chris followed him to the front door.

Ticklish Shenanigans - Chapter 46
What Does the HUD Say About His Dating Power Level?
Mod Yosh ~ Denise, *Papyrus Mod Kitty ~ Harpy, Vulkin (*Mod Kitty had played as this character for part of the RP version of this chapter.)
Denise smiled down lovingly at her little sister as she began to breathe deeper. The young girl must have been tired from the day’s activities if she had fallen asleep this early. With a soft chuckle, she bent down and smooched Frisk’s forehead. “Love you, sis….” she whispered, her heart warming instantly at the subtle rise of the corners of the child’s mouth.
Slipping out of the room quietly and slowly closing the door behind her, Denise hummed softly to herself as she walked down the hall towards her shared room with Papyrus. She began to feel giddy the moment a thought passed through her mind: this would be the first night she’d be sleeping with her new boyfriend. Honestly, she still couldn’t believe it. The moment she met the two skeleton brothers, Papyrus had fallen head over heels for her. In retrospect, with his staring and blushing, it was quite obvious. Even though she had gravitated towards Sans in the beginning, she was so very glad to have Papyrus instead.
Honestly, though…. What had the younger skeleton seen in her that night? They had barely known each other, aside from Papyrus’ online status as monsterkind’s mascot; Papyrus had no idea who she had been at all, not even that she was Frisk’s older sister! So then, why had he felt so attracted to her from the very beginning? It’s not like she was as confident or attractive as he was….
Denise shook her head with a frustrated huff. There went her thoughts again, trying to convince her she was lesser than she actually was. But she was lesser than him. Only because no one was as great as the Great Papyrus himself. Are you sure you wanna stick with that answer, or do you wanna try something more truthful? No! She was just fine the way she was. Yeah, your foster parents and ‘best friend’ sure thought so too. Shut up!
Distracted by the negative thoughts trying to claim back her conscience, the young woman forgot to take into account the sleeping skeleton inside when she rather forcefully opened the door. Looking up from the floor to the bed, she was surprised to find Papyrus not snuggled up under the covers, but sitting at the foot of the bed reading a book. “You’re still awake?”
Papyrus jolted, looking up quickly at Denise, who in turn took a startled step back. It seemed he had been so engrossed in his read that he hadn’t even heard her barge in. The monster’s shoulders slackened from their tense position with a soft sigh. “I couldn’t sleep. Well, I mean, I COULD, but then Angel needed to be let out to use the litter box, and I hadn’t been able to settle back in since.”
“Is something troubling you?” Denise asked softly, closing the door behind her and walking over to sit on the bed next to her boyfriend. She didn’t like how … un-Papyrus he seemed to be. Stars above, was he unhappy because of her? Was he regretting asking her to be his girlfriend?
“Well … I suppose I would be lying if I said no,” Papyrus answered after a few seconds of hesitation. He slipped a bone-shaped bookmark between the pages and set the closed book down next to him to give Denise his full attention, even though he had yet to look back up at her. “It’s just … with everything happening today. With Dad, and Angel getting hurt. Sans is really stressed out too, and I certainly don’t blame him. And then I learn that the entity who had harmed my pet may very well have been the first fallen human. Not to mention my allergic reaction to Lady Toriel's cooking. Today was just … not the greatest.”
Denise frowned, scooching a touch closer to the monster. “I was really worried today too. I still can’t believe everything that’s happened with Angel and your father. But I know that things will get better. Chris, as psychotic as he was, helped Angel quite a bit, and between him and Ms. Toriel’s healing magic, I’m certain she’ll make a full recovery. As far as your dad goes, I … I’m sure you and your brother will find some way to save him from … wherever he is.” She glanced down at her own lap, her negative thoughts beginning to return. “Um…. I-Is there anything else that made you so upset today?”
“Like what?” Papyrus finally looked up at her.
“I dunno, like….” She twiddled her thumbs in her lap. “Like … something relating to me?”
The monster beside her remained silent for a few moments before finally speaking. “Well, I suppose there is ONE thing.”
Denise’s breath hitched. She could feel the tears already building up, subtly gritting her teeth at the sharp sting behind her eyes. He really had regretted asking her out, hadn’t he? She should’ve known this thing between them would never last….
“I have NO idea how to open up the Dating HUD!”
Denise looked up at him in an instant, eyes wide and confused. “Uhh…. what?”
“Lookie here!” Papyrus grabbed the book and opened it up to the first chapter, pointing at the first of many steps listed on the page. “It says to press [C] for the Dating HUD, but I don’t even know what that MEANS! Frisk had somehow managed to do so during our date back in Snowdin, but I don’t know how she did it. And it’s too late in the evening to ask her!”
“What … even is that?” Denise questioned, staring at the book in bemusement.
“I DON’T KNOW!” The skeleton’s yell startled the human, his flailing arms nearly knocking her off the bed. “But I HAVE to figure this out before I can move on to Step Two!”
“And what’s Step T--?” Denise’s eyes widened, drawing in a short breath of surprise. She stared down at the text, rereading it again and again, making sure her eyes weren’t playing any tricks on her. At last, her brain finally registered what it read.
‘Step Two: Ask them on a date.’
Papyrus was … going to ask her on a date? But, wasn’t he planning on breaking up with her? Why would he be reading a dating manual if he was going to cut ties with her? Was it just the first book he had picked up? Or was it some sort of cruel prank he had cooked up for her?
“Denise?” Papyrus’ voice startled her out of her thoughts. She looked up at him, finding him staring back with a concerned look on his bony face. “I had asked if you wanted to read the rulebook so you didn’t have to hunch over like that. Are you okay?”
“O-Oh, uh, yeah, I’m fine,” she lied, sitting back up straight and brushing her fingers through her hair, trying to distract herself from the shame swelling up within her. She was so awkward. No wonder nobody liked her.
“Are you sure? You’re acting a little off tonight. Do you need some water?”
“N-No, I’m okay. Really, I am.”
“You know you can tell me, right? Do not be fooled, for I in fact DO have ears, even if I cannot dab anything behind them!”
“I-I’m okay, Papyrus.”
“Perhaps if you talked about it, it would help you feel be--”
“Just stop!” Denise shut her eyes tightly, squeezing tears free, feeling them drip onto her tightened fists in her lap. She could feel Papyrus stiffen up next to her, clearly taken aback by her sudden outburst. Honestly, she hadn’t meant to shout -- and she certainly hoped she hadn’t woken up Frisk in the other room -- but the voices were just getting louder and louder and she needed them to stop. “Please…. Just stop. Stop … this. Stop … pretending you care. Nobody cares. My foster parents didn’t care, my friends didn’t care, my ex didn’t care…. No one cares about me. So why should you?”
“Denise?...” Papyrus tried to speak up, but she interrupted him with her continued tangent. With the floodgates open, it was impossible to force it back closed.
“Why should you c-care about me? I’m nothing special. I c-can’t do anything right. I’ve been kicked out of homes, tossed around like I was nothing…. I-I’m not supposed to be someone you care about. Not you, not Sans, not Frisk, not anyone. My own parents didn’t love me enough to help me when I needed financial support. I had no choice but to steal money from them, just so I could afford a crappy motel room for a night. Helen would always boss me around, I doubt she even cares about me. She just needed a housemaid she didn’t have to pay. Chris didn’t love me, either; he just loved having a girlfriend. I was nothing but a trophy for him to show off to his friends.”
“So then … why?” Denise was full-on crying now, her shoulders quivering as she struggled to choke back louder sobs threatening to break free. “After everything they’ve done to me … after everything they’ve said to me … why are you still putting up with me? Don’t you have anything better to do?”
She stared down at her lap through squinted eyes, tears swimming around and blurring her vision in green. Suddenly, a splash of red appeared, and she felt a gloved hand pressing gently up against her chin. She let her head be maneuvered until she was looking into Papyrus’ eye lights. She could just barely see little dots of orange lining the rims of his sockets.
“Denise, don’t SAY things like that!” he implored. “I do not know the full extent of all the misdeeds the others may have committed, but I assure you they are WRONG. Everyone is worthy of love and friendship, ESPECIALLY you.” An orange tear streaked down his cheekbone. “These humans who were supposed to care for you…. They must have hurt you GRAVELY to make you believe that anything they said to you holds any truth. Please listen to me when I tell you NONE of it is true. Do you know why I had been so helplessly enamored by your presence the night we met?”
He waited for Denise to respond, and when she shook her head, he continued. “It is because I could sense the kind of person you are in your SOUL. No, I did not perform a nonconsensual CHECK on you, that would’ve been rude! To a monster, a human SOUL is arguably the most powerful source imaginable, their traits and innermost emotions very palpable. I could sense your sadness, your self-doubt … but deep down I could also sense a truly kind and beautiful person. Yes, I have met many humans with kindness in their SOULs, but you are the first I’ve met who has KINDNESS. It’s one of the seven different SOUL traits unique to humans, and it so happens to be my favorite of the traits. You can do SO MUCH GOOD for humans and monsters alike, but only once you have learned to love yourself as much as I do will you be able to unlock your full potential. That is why I care about you, and that is why I will NEVER leave you.”
Denise was at a loss for words. All she could hope to do in that moment was stare at the monster she hopelessly fell for. He meant every word he said, she knew it. So then … why was she having such a hard time accepting it? Why did knowing that someone genuinely caring about her shock her into such a standstill?
A few moments passed before Papyrus broke his gaze away from hers to look down at the dating manual beside them. He picked it up, studying it as if trying to make a decision. Then, he tossed the book over his shoulder, letting it land open and face-down on the floor.
"Let's go somewhere," Papyrus suggested out of nowhere. He gently took both of Denise's hands into his own, standing up and helping her up to her feet as well. "Let's forget all about the rules for a little while and just … do whatever we want."
Denise blinked in surprise. This was all happening so quickly. She could hardly process what was going on anymore. "I-I, um…."
Smiling kindly at Denise's hesitation, Papyrus' face suddenly lit up with an idea. "All right, here is what we shall do!" Letting go of her hands, he rushed to his closet, rummaging through it until he came back out with an empty shoebox. All the while, the young woman watched in confusion and interest.
Setting it down on the bed and lifting the top off, the skeleton placed his hands on the crown of Denise's head, sockets squinting in concentration. After a few moments of dramatic grunting, he suddenly wrenched his hands away, wrestling with something invisible before shoving it into the box. After slapping the lid back on top, he threw the box like a football back into the closet and shut the door. "THERE! I have taken away your dark and discouraging thoughts! Let's escape before they find their way back to you, hmm?" He held out his hand invitingly to his date.
Denise watched the skeleton’s antics in confusion all the way up until he held his hand out to her, in which her face lit up in realization. As if Papyrus’ silly motions of ridding her of her dark thoughts had actually worked, Denise smiled softly with a blush. “Okay…~” she meekly agreed, taking his offered hand into her own. She squeaked in surprise at Papyrus’ sudden burst of happy laughter, pulling her up onto her feet and up against his chest. She blushed harder.
“Then off we go!” With a snap of his fingers, Papyrus engulfed Denise’s SOUL with gravity magic, pulling her safely a couple inches off the ground behind him as he flew down the stairs. Once outside, he settled her down onto the porch and kicked closed the front door. “Let’s go to the city! It always looked so cool when I was–!” His sockets flew wide open for a split second before he cleared his throat and corrected himself loudly, “FROM A DISTANCE AT NIGHT!”
The odd behavior hadn’t gone unnoticed by Denise, but decided not to worry about it, doing her best to uphold her promise. “O-Okay, then. Heheh, lead the way, Papyrus.”
“Great! I know of a shortcut!” Papyrus swiftly hoisted Denise up into his arms princess-style, beginning a brisk jog. “I hope you don’t mind me carrying you! I certainly don’t mind….” A soft orange tinge colored Papyrus’ cheeks, though he didn’t avert his gaze.
The human looked back up at Papyrus, mouth slightly gaped in awe, impressed by his physical capability of carrying her with such ease. Her blush deepened. “I don’t mind, either. It’s very nice.~” She laid her head on his shoulder, enjoying the ride, gazing adoringly up at the chivalrous skeleton. She couldn’t help a soft giggle each time she caught his eye lights drifting back down at her instead of focusing on where he was going.
“Ahem!...” Papyrus suddenly cleared his throat, seeming to finally register that his secret glances down at his date were not so secret after all. “I’ve been meaning to ask: I always see you wearing your green headband – just like how I always wear my scarf! Does it hold some significant memories for you, Denise?”
Not quite prepared for such a personal question, Denise found a hand sliding up to her head, fingers gently clutching the beloved accessory. She smiled sadly. “Yeah… My mom gave it to me for my sixteenth birthday. I’ve always treasured it, even before their passing, but … nowadays I can’t seem to go a day without wearing it, whether it goes with my outfit or not. Though, I usually make sure it goes with my outfit.” She chuckled softly despite herself.
“I understand how very special it is to you, Denise,” Papyrus said, expression softening. “As a matter of fact, I also received this scarf as a token from my mother! Er, well, I’m sure it is! …Even though I can’t remember much, and Sans’ memories are repressed … I can just feel it in my bones! Nyeheheh!~”
“Oh, Pap,” Denise softly empathized. “I’m sorry you can’t remember much about your parents. But … I know that they would both be very proud of the amazing skeleton you’ve become, just as I know Sans is.” She briefly nuzzled her nose against her date’s neck, drawing out an adorable giggle from him.
Papyrus only just started to become slightly winded from the consistent jog as he passed into the city limits, and he began to slow his pace. “Look, look! We’ve made it!” he exclaimed, setting the human down on the sidewalk. No longer focused on any set direction, he allowed himself to be attracted to the bright lights all around them.
Looking up and around at her familiar radiant surroundings, Denise felt the corners of her lips tug upward more and more until she was beaming. “Oh, wow…. I’ve seen the city at night before, but it’s never looked this beautiful.”
“Isn’t it amazing!” Papyrus exclaimed excitedly, grinning down at Denise, seeming to enjoy the look on her face just as much as the beautiful scenery. “I’ve always liked cities! They chase away the dark! OHH!” Face suddenly brightening in excitement, he rushed over to a clothing shop store front, where a handful of mannequins stood in various poses, each wearing a rather fetching style. He stopped in front of a breezy summer outfit, pale yellow in color. “Wouldn’t I look great in that?” He suddenly struck a pose in front of the window, imitating the mannequin, grin widening. “You choose one too! Go on!”
Following close behind the eccentric monster, Denise focused her gaze on the mirror separating her date from the mannequin. She was able to make out his reflection layered over the mannequin’s, looking like Papyrus himself was wearing the outfit. She giggled. “Heehee! It does look good on you. But then again, you look good in anything.”
Browsing the other displays, her eyes locked on a particularly cute buttoned sky-blue blouse and wavy ocean-blue skirt. “Oh, wow, look at how cute!” she gushed. Looking over at Papyrus, then back at the display, she hesitated before attempting to copy the pose as well. She grinned at her reflection wearing the outfit.
Papyrus’ sockets fell closed in self-satisfaction. “Of course I do! For I am the GREAT and FASHIONABLE Papyrus!” When he opened his eyes, he appeared delighted to find his date following suit, glancing at her reflection. “Oh, that’s a MARVELOUS choice! It would go so well with your beautiful–... Nnnhh!~” Papyrus’ hand crept up towards his scarf and lightly fiddled near his neck, blushing profusely. “...B-Beautiful eyes, nyeheh…~ …W-Would you like to see if there are any street vendors out this late? I’m a bit peckish after jogging all that way.”
Not expecting such a sweet compliment, Denise’s cheeks erupted in a blush, shyly swirling a finger through a lock of hair that had escaped her ponytail. “Th-Thank you…~” Her stomach suddenly rumbled at the mention of food, and she smiled up at Papyrus. “Sure, that sounds great. Lead the way, Papyrus.”
“All righty!” Marching ahead with purpose, Papyrus started to sing under his breath. He didn’t mind any of the staring stragglers they passed – in fact not greeting anyone as he normally might have, too preoccupied with stealing glances at his date. He suddenly jabbed a finger outward towards a small stand with two figures standing behind it. “Oh, hey! See that glow over there? I think that food cart is run by monsters!”
The skeleton dashed over to the food cart, grinning warmly at the pair of smaller monsters: a Vulkin bubbling with lava and a green, wingless Harpy. “HELLO, FELLOW MONSTERS! Are you still open?”
“Oh, hello!” Harpy greeted, levitating with magic. “Yes, we are. Would you like some kebabs?” The monster picked up two skewers in either talon, which were already lined with raw cubes of beef and vegetables.
“Ahh! Helping customers! My favorite!” Vulkin squeaked happily, giving a small bounce, making sure the lava didn’t splash out towards the food or customers.
“Yes, please! One for each of us.” Papyrus reached into his back pocket and fished out his wallet, clicking it open.
Harpy laid the loaded skewers over Vulkin’s open back, then turned back to face the skeleton. “Say, I don’t know if you’d know him, but there was another skeleton back Underground who ran a hot dog stand–”
“Toasty and tasty!!” Vulkin piped up.
“–It was always fun when he came around. He probably doesn’t know it, but he inspired us to open our own stand here.”
“Oh, that would be my brother, Sans.” Papyrus placed the appropriate amount of Gold down, looking a little thoughtful. “Yes, I’m glad his irresponsibility as a sentry did some good….”
With a trill of a surprised giggle, Harpy grabbed the now well-done kebabs, holding one out for each of the customers. “Tonight’s a good night. Enjoy it!”
“Thank you! You as well!”
All the while, Denise smiled to herself. She always found her spirits lifting whenever in the presence of a monster, especially a happy and successful one. The cart vendors sounded overjoyed to be conversing with their fellow monster, just as Papyrus seemed to be, reinstating in Denise once again how lucky the Surface world is to have such friendly creatures back in human society.
Smiling widely, the human carefully took the skewer offered to her, taking care not to singe her fingers on the still-sizzling cubes. “Thank you very much.” She took a bite out of one of the meat tidbits, a satisfied hum drawing out for a few seconds. “Oh, this is really good! Mmm, the smokiness of the open flames just brings out the flavor.”
“Aah! So happy!~” Vulkin beamed with another small hop, while Harpy’s smile grew ever wider.
The two companions waved farewell to the monster vendors before starting a slow walk down the sidewalk, taking in their sights as they ate. “Mm! It really is tasty!” Papyrus agreed, before adding a bit begrudgingly, “Even if it IS a Hotland specialty…. Oh, I’m sorry, Denise, it’s not something I normally think about, but are you comfortable in the evening air? I understand humans are a bit more susceptible to temperatures than skeletons.”
Denise gave a soft giggle, touched by his consideration. “I’m fine for now, Papyrus. I’ll be sure to let you know when I start getting chilly.” After a few moments of working up her courage, she finally reached out to take his hand into hers, blushing. “I … really appreciate all you’re doing for me, Papyrus. I’m really having a good time with you.~”
Despite the warm magic once again rising to his cheekbones, Papyrus didn’t look away, instead gingerly squeezing her hand. “Oh, I am too! I’m glad to know you’re enjoying yourself. …Nyehh… So… Speaking of good times…” Now he averted his gaze, fixating on the skewer nearly void of food. “I notice that you have a lot of fun with my brother with a c-certain activity, and I was thinking…. Perhaps, we could have a session of our own?”
Denise blinked up at him in surprise. Then she smirked, starting to feel perfectly confident for the first time that evening. “Oh? And what kind of activity are you thinking of exactly?...~”
“Ah–! Err!...” Papyrus grinned nervously, fiddling with his scarf, his tone rising slightly. “Nyeheh, the … the tickling activity? If you want to?”
Gulping down the last of her food, Denise snickered, her chest swelling with ever-growing excitement of her own. Sans wasn’t the only shy skeleton, it seemed. Lids lowering, the young woman sneaked a scritch at his spine while his free hand occupied his scarf. “Ohhh, so you want a turn at being at my mercy, do you? Well, who am I to say no to such a precious request?~”
“HEEK–!” Papyrus reflexively shimmied away from the teasing touch, but didn’t let go of her hand, ending up pulling her along with him. “Wowie, hehe…. Let’s f-finish our walk first, nyeah?” Now blushing profusely, he absent-mindedly nibbled on the end of his skewer with nervous energy.
Even with how flustered he’d become, Papyrus seemed to be perfectly comfortable with Denise’s teasing. He giggled happily as she poked and prodded at him the entire walk home, which only helped Denise feel more at ease.
Once their house came into view, Papyrus paused, curious to observe a delivery truck backing into their driveway so late at night. “Nyeh? Whatever could that be for?” he wondered aloud, starting a light jog towards the vehicle.
The sight of the delivery truck caused Denise to feel a rush of emotions back-to-back. Surprise and curiosity turned into excitement and glee, which subsequently transformed into alarm. Now that she knew what was going on, she had to make sure Papyrus didn’t. After all, the item she had ordered off of Gregslist a week ago was meant to be a big surprise.
Hopping in front of the skeleton, the young woman offered him a sweet smile. “Papyrus, you’ve done so much for me tonight, and I honestly could not thank you enough for treating me like this. But maybe I could try to, by taking care of this while you relax in your room. All that carrying me and prancing around must have tired you out, at least a little.” She giggled softly and traced a couple fingers under his mandible. “After that, if you’re still wanting to play a little before bedtime, I’d be more than happy to.~”
Papyrus had clearly been about to object, but the teasing touch and promise of more to come instantly weakened his knees. “O-Okay then! I shall get the room ready!” Looking down at her, he tenderly stroked a strand of her hair, his smile reaching his eyes. After lithely bending to give her a skelesmooch on the crown of her head, he danced his way into the house.
Denise blushed and giggled at the tender, loving affection, eyes arching at the kiss. She watched as her date ascended the stairs as if they were clouds to heaven, making her giggle louder. He was so hopelessly excited for what was to come, which in turn made her just as eager to claim the sweet, charming, ticklish skeleton all for herself.
Making quick work in signing the delivery man’s tablet and helping him trolley in a large, padded item – all the while grateful he had chosen not to ask any questions – Denise finally followed up after Papyrus to the second floor, and not a single self-destructive thought plagued her now bright and happy mind for the rest of the night.

heya the sans kin who asked about the pendulum recently here. (it's something i've been really trying to accept and grasp my own feelings on for awhile now.)
i don't remember almost anything but i still have a lot of feelings and care towards pretty much everyone i was close with. papy, toriel, frisk, grillby. and even napstablook for some reason.
anyways earlier i was talkin it up with a papyrus bot (because i'm lonely and miss him a lot) and he seemed really adamant about something bad possibly happening between frisk and i? now, i understand that it was just a bot but honestly it still freaked me out a little bit like i possibly did something to upset them?
i'd like one of those tarot readings of what my relationship with frisk was like if that's alright.
Sure thing! I’ll use this spread for the reading and my The Legend of Tarot deck! It’ll be upright meanings only for the cards as well!
———————————–
Partner: the overall feelings and attitude of your partner
I got the Eight of Bottles! Your Frisk found their life on the Surface dull and used their time in the Underground to shake things up a bit. Things got a bit chaotic, but they enjoyed it nonetheless! This could point to something positive or negative, but which one isn’t entirely displayed in this card.
———————————–
Self: the overall feelings and attitude of yourself
I got the Two of Rupees! There was definitely a choice to be made involving your relationship with Frisk. You had to weigh the pros and cons and ultimately decide whether to satisfy your emotions or do it for the good of something or someone else.
———————————–
Brick Wall: the obstacle, what stands between the two of you
I got the Six of Bottles! Ultimately, either or both of you were looking back on fonder times and hoping for better things like they were “back then.” This card also points to family connections and children, which may point to your relationships (i.e., Papyrus), or one of Frisk’s either previously on the Surface or their new life Underground.
———————————–
I hope this helps you, and let me know if it does!
