He's learnt by now that this month is one in which the local Midgardians like to give gifts to the objects of their affection. Whilst Loki has received a mix of hatemail and obsessive tokens from other sources, this one feels closer.

He plucks out a serinakake and nibbles it while he ponders over the note. During a little downtime where he won't be pestered by the sorcerers of the Sanctum — he hopes — he boots up his loaned laptop and looks up Beryllium.

"Chemical element.. earth metal.. symbol 'Be'. Relatively rare element.. occurs naturally only in combination with others.. used in spacecraft construction." There's a lot of possibilities. The first thought is that 'Be' is the start of a message and he wonders, given the occasion, if said message might end in 'Ne' for Neon. Or perhaps it's more complicated and meaningful? Could it be relevant that it's found in beryl, which can be emerald, a stone perhaps sentimental to his favoured colour? Are they saying they work well with him?

Or is it simpler than that? An earth metal. He knows who that makes him think of, but he suspects it's less the knowing who has sent it but the meaning behind it. Simplicity would have been 'Fe'.

Or is it a way of telling him he's toxic? It's not from Stephen. He would have just linked him a Britney Spears track.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

i really don’t think it’s “typical dragon age fandom nonsense” for people to be genuinely upset about the world state choices. combat, level design, art direction, gameplay gimmicks, those have all varied across each dragon age game. the one thing that’s remained constant are nods to our previous choices.

i wasn’t expecting my HoF to come riding in on a griffon, but i can’t find a monument dedicated to warden tabris somewhere around the anderfels? lucanis couldn’t have some lines about the time that one arainai boy was stirring up trouble in antiva city? you’re gonna tell me that making a mage the new divine wouldn’t have some impact on nevarra and antiva? on the anderfels, the supposed most devout militant andrastian nation in thedas? you’re saying nobody in the north is paying attention to who rules orlais or ferelden? come on.
