Probably gonna be the weirdest post on my Tumblr...but I got a new job. This job is very long. I'm gone away from my house for just about 14 hours or so while working. This gives my brain time to think.

What does my brain think about...?

Servamp characters and their body types of course.

These are all HCs btw!

Mahiru Shirota: Mahiru has the body build of Touma. He's slim and fit, with some muscle built in underneath. However he's got some decent pudge to him. A softness given to him from his mother's side of the blood line.

Kuro: This boi is a tall skrinky man. His limbs are lanky and his body frame is skinny. Around the first chapters he was even smaller. However with Mahiru's help, Kuro has gained some muscle mass.

Tetsu Sendagaya (Did I spell that right?): I mean we've already seen this boy 🤣 man's fit. He keeps himself well cared for to keep with the muscle mass.

Hugh: Tiny child: Small pudge bean.

Adult man: Hugh holds himself with elegance and pride. He makes sure that this form is well kept and clean while keeping a touch of the child pudge to give him a touch of innocence.

Mikuni Arisuin: He's in the middle ground of being tall or short. With the added elegance of his family blood, Mikuni has a bit of wear and tear. His hands aren't as nice as they use to be, and his body posture holds a bit of hostility and mystery to it. Despite this, he has baby pudge around his cheeks and belly.

Jeje: Jeje has always been naturally tall. Along with this, he's rather thin, yet his body is firm with a small muscle mass. His skin is also the darkest of the Servamps.

Iduna Nobel: Iduna is a small woman. Her skin is fair and tan with soft gentle freckles along her shoulders and cheeks, and she holds a lot of softness and pudge to her. Absolutely perfect for snuggles.

Freya: Freya is tall and slender. Her frame is built with a power underneath, giving her a sense of power. This also gives her a touch of muscle mass with a elegant grace that's wolf like.

Licht Todoroki: Licht is also rather tall and thin. His skin is a touch paler than the other Eves, and he holds less muscle mass compared to them (Except Misono). His body was built for grace and beauty. More fairy like than an angel.

Lawless/Hyde: Lawless is the pudgiest of the Servamps. His playful demeanor and sharp tongue give way with the softness of his body. He's also the shortest compared to the adult Servamps (Not including Child Hugh), and has freckles along his cheeks, chest, and shoulders. Second darkest skin tone of the Servamps.

Niccolo Carpidem (Idk if I spelt that right either xD): Niccolo is also in the middle ground of height. His frame his small, yet firm with gentle muscles. He's got a soft grace held in his facial features that's gentle and caring despite always being tense.

Ildio: He's also rather pudgy in a sense. His body is sharp and firm, built for power. He's the most bulky of the Servamps and also holds the most muscle mass.

Misono Alicein: He's small. His frame is thin, nearly fragile. His skin is also rather pale in complexion with the other Eves. Yet he's elegance and beauty is added onto with soft pudge around his cheeks.

Lily: Lily is tall. Possibly the second tallest of the Servamps. His skin is fair and well cared for, along with his hair. His body frame is slender and gentle. Elegant and graceful with a fairy like beauty.

Tsubaki: Tsubaki is slightly small. His frame was built with fox like grace. A soft pudge hiding firm muscle mass for when he strikes. His skin is also well cared for and is deemed as very soft.

Sooooo kuro got 5th in the popularity poll (the web version) and i feel like he is the most popular character so i'm wondering

If maybe people who had a second favorite. That they were concerned wouldn't place at all. Maybe only voted for their second instead of their first...?

Like maybe theoretically they voted everyday for a character that was actually just a second or third favorite just to help boost their numbers. And maybe they used multiple devices so they could vote more than once daily.

And maybe they sent a link to the poll to their big sib with instructions on how and who to vote for 😶 (not that i, y'know, would ever do anything like that 😅😅😅😏😏😏😶😶😶😎😎😎)

But I mean if a lot of people did that it would definitely explain kuro's ranking lol 😆

Don't get me wrong they're all great characters so I'm sure whoever did get the #1 spot is also great but i dunno it's just surprising lol 🤔 (maybe i feel just a little bit guilty but you know what i had a character i just wanted to see place. I would have been so happy if he got even the #10 spot even though i know it's not gonna happen 🥲 i feel like i voted for a third party candidate, not only did i waste my vote on someone who was never gonna win but by doing so i took votes away from a candidate who actually had a chance lololol 😣)

Also dont take this that seriously lol mostly I'm just curious what all the results are!! This is the first time I've participated in one of these and it's kinda exciting lol 😆😆😆

I thought if sloth pair didn't get the top 2 spots it'd be greed pair but licht was #4 on the mail in votes?? I wonder if the greeds are gonna be #1 on the web and sloths #1 on the mail in votes? (I mean i feel like that makes sense, on the web you could vote A BUNCH of times so you could more freely vote for a secondary character, while mail in votes you had a very set number, like 1 or 2 for most people, so i think there'd be more pressure to make sure you voted for your absolute #1 favorite chara. don't know if that makes sense or not but whatever lol)

And if they're splitting up the votes for the results how are they gonna do the clear file? Probably combine them huh 🤔🤔🤔 I'm just excited to finally see it lol 😆

Touma and Tsurugi

Aight, so. I have had this post sitting in my drafts for AGES, contemplating whether I should even post it or not, and... I think I will.

Time to talk a bit about what is probably the most controversial character in Servamp, outside of a certain yippee ki-yay motherfucker. I’m partially writing this as part of my own means of moving forward, so forgive me if this seems disjointed or spacey. Unlike my other posts, which are written in one sitting, this one’s going to be strewn together over the course of multiple days. Formatting might be a little wonky too because of that, especially since I haven’t been feeling at 100% these last few days.

Anyway! Let’s hop into it! In usual Kat format, this probably won’t make much sense! Preemptive warning for all the usual stuff that comes parcel and package with Touma and Tsurugi. Child abuse, neglect, PTSD, you know. All that... Fun stuff... Not all of these are mentioned or even implied but... Yeah. Just in case. Under the cut because it is Very Long.

Gonna also preface this by saying that I am not, by any means, excusing Touma’s actions or behavior. I’m taking him to task today and tearing the dude apart because he’s such a well crafted depiction of how abusers can love the people they hurt, and how they can be sympathetic because they are human, while still being awful, and I want more people to appreciate that. You don’t have to like him by any means. Lord knows I don’t.

But it’s also disingenuous to write him off as a villain hellbent on hurting others for the sake of hurting, especially when that’s exactly what he wants people to think of him.

Touma’s cruelty and his stubborn refusal to rely on anyone but himself is absolutely a defense mechanism meant to protect himself from those with seemingly kind intentions. The man grew up in an incredibly abusive household, where physical and emotional abuse was the norm. Like a hedgehog, he spikes himself up, lashes out at those around him with his words, digging into any weak point he can manage to find because if he doesn’t let anyone in, if he keeps the curtains closed shut, he will be safe, he will be safe, no one will ever have the power to hurt him again.

Like, no healthy person acts like that. He wants people to think he’s vile. He wants people to hate him. He’s, in his own words, “a villain with a pedigree.”

And then there’s his relationship with Tsurugi, and how that plays out. Despite how awfully he’s been treated, Tsurugi... Wants to stay with him. Not because he can’t imagine any other way of existing. Oh, he knows it’s there. He can leave any time he wants to. If he gave even the slightest of inklings that he wanted out from under Touma’s thumb... Junichiro and Yumikage would grab him and go. We even see Yumi offer within canon to pay off all of Tsurugi’s debts, which are... The thing tying him to Touma the most, from an outsider’s perspective.

He wants to stay because... Touma is his family. Because if he’s a godawful person who abused the hell out of him... He’s still his savior and someone he cares for deeply. Even when, by all rights, he’d be better off kicking him to the curb.

Truth be told, back when we all thought Touma was dead, I was actually really disappointed in that particular story decision. It seemed like such a copout way to deal with him as a character! Like, having the abuser sacrifice their life to save their victim as one final act of grand redemption and proof that they were a “good person” all along... Fuck off with that! I want Touma to live. I want him to live and grow and become better than he was, but to always know, in the back of his mind, what he has done and who he has hurt and how he made someone he loves suffer.

And I’m glad that we’ve already seen a tiny glimpse of change in him, when he removes Tsurugi’s collar. He sets him free. And that made me so happy.

Going to get a little Too Real with y’all right now, but I... Spent the majority of my formative years in an abusive home. I’ll spare you the details, but my mother and step-father were not... Good people. I met with my mother again when I was 13, and I was ecstatic, because that’s my mom! She was my mom, and I loved her. Less than a year later, though... She vanished. Promised she would only be gone for a year and then... Nothing.

I was fine with that. I was hurt, but I could live with it, because she had already abandoned me before. What I couldn’t forgive, though, what I couldn’t overlook, was her doing that to my little sister. At least, I thought I couldn’t... If I’m honest with myself? I know that, if she ever came back into my life, I’d hug her neck and cry and tell her how much I missed her, and beg her not to leave again.

The story of Touma and Tsurugi... Is one that resonates with me on a very deep, very personal level.

I want Tsurugi to get the happy ending, and the happy family, I know will never be available to me in the form I want it to be.

I want Touma to grow, and to heal, and to overcome the hand life has dealt him and that he felt he had no other choice but to play with.

I could have easily become someone like Touma. Instead I am like Tsurugi, because I had people who loved me and wanted me to thrive despite my circumstances.

I talk a lot about this series, go so in depth with it and its characters, love it and this fandom and the people I have met through it so much because it... Has helped me grow, and it has helped me heal.

Which is fantastic! Because Servamp, at its core, is a story of healing. Of learning to let go of the past and move on towards a brighter future. It doesn't mean you have to forget where you came from... Just that your past doesn’t define you. There's always time to change.

Not even just with Touma and Tsurugi.

With Shuuhei and Sham. With Lust pair. With Lawless. With Kuro. With Sakuya. Even... With Mahiru. Every single time... There's something in their past holding them down and hurting them so terribly... And they can't grow as a person until they deal with it.

Servamp has helped me deal with mine. Thank you so much, everyone.

Screw it, I’m posting it here.  I haven’t used this site in years.  I don’t even care.  (Plus, fusetter was being weird tonight so I don’t want to use it right now.)

Fair warning, this is not a “well-thought-out theories and speculations about the storyline” post.  This is just me talking about Misono and Mikuni and Tsurugi because they’re amazing and I love them.  If you follow me solely for spoilers, you don’t have to read this, it’s all coming from my warm, bursting heart with only a tiny bit of canonical spoilers.

SO.  Mikuni and Misono, am I right?  Beautiful babies.  Angels.  Perfect children.  A true gift.  Except for the fact that we’re finally getting closer to seeing them together, and the more we explore this, the less prepared I feel.

Remember back in the olden days when Mikuni loved Misono unconditionally and Misono thought Mikuni was the root of all evils thanks to illusions, and that’s as simple as it came and as far as it went?  (Okay, the whole “Mikuni being the root of everything” part still hasn’t really changed, but you know what I mean.)  Then Misono grew up a little bit more, learned the truth, and he decided he wanted answers & change, and even his father agreed that it was time for things to change.  And I was like, okay cool, one day they’re gonna meet up again and they’re gonna talk and Mikuni is gonna tell Misono how much he cares about him, and everything is gonna be freaking awesome.

EXCEPT THAT’S NOT WHAT’S HAPPENING AND I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT ANYMORE.

It’s one of the best parts about Servamp, and one of the worst as well.  I can tell where the story is going half the time, and the other half of the time, it just falls apart in my hands.  I’m that raccoon who loses his cotton candy in the water.  That’s me with the Aliceins (and the Tsukimitsus, but we’re not talking about them right now, even though they’re always in my heart 24/7.)

We know that Misono grew up loved and accepted by his family, and even though he eventually learned the truth about where he comes from, his family was always his family and he never suspected otherwise.  He’s also still quite young, and because of that, tends not to have that innate reaction to view things from outside of his norm.  I like the fact that Tsurugi wants Misono to try and think about things from Mikuni’s side of the story, because nobody really knows what that side looks like yet, but if anyone could even come close to guessing -- I think it would probably be Tsurugi and Misono.

I always write out a translation for myself after I receive my copy of the magazine each month, so I’m just gonna copypasta from my transcript, pardon any formatting issues this might cause --

Misono: ...Mikuni.  Will he come back to this house?  Me, and my father, and everyone here… we’re all waiting for Mikuni.

Tsurugi: But that’s just wishful thinking, isn’t it?

Misono: ?

Tsurugi: After all of this is over… what kind of ideal ending are you hoping to imagine?

Misono: … I want my father and Mikuni to make up, and for Mikuni to come home.  My father wants to apologize to Mikuni.  The things that happened in this house… they weren’t all bad.

Tsurugi: Yeah — that’s how you see your story.

Tsurugi: But what about his story?  There is no villain in your “Love”-themed story, in which you play the leading role.  All the children who are born are loved, and in that sense, it’s a happy ending for you, because there is nothing wrong with being born.  But, in the story of “Envy,” in which he plays the leading role…

It’s no surprise that Mikuni holds grudges.  He openly tells his father he’s disgusted with him after his affair and the death of Misono’s mother come to light.  He ended up killing his own mother years later, and although we don’t know what truly happened yet, the fact that Mikuni left and his father decided to essentially “erase” him from the family is reason enough to still hate his father.  Misono no longer sees Mikuni as the cause for their family’s collapse, but that doesn’t mean that Mikuni sees things that way, and Tsurugi is trying to guide Misono into seeing things from the other side of their perspective.

I know it’s a simple enough notion, but the fact that this is all happening right NOW is what leads me to believe we will soon see Misono and Mikuni interacting -- and considering a few other things that are going on, I honestly don’t know what to expect anymore.  (Especially if Tanaka pulls a “BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE” with information we haven’t been given yet.  You can’t rule out the surprise of new information.)

Hugh is presumably working alongside Tsubaki at this point, and while it could have been a trap, his meeting with Tetsu seemed genuine enough.  I don’t have any doubt that Mikuni orchestrated Tetsu’s shooting, and if I had to guess, I’m sure he expected that Hugh had a soft spot for Tetsu and would eventually lead them straight to him, allowing him to enact that whole setup with Nico and Ildio.  Now that Hugh has fled with Tetsu, assuming he goes back to Tsubaki’s place to get Tetsu immediate medical attention, that would give Mikuni access to Tetsu.

For what purpose?  I’m not really sure.  But remember a long time ago, when Sakuya showed up to discuss something with Misono and Tetsu?  And after he left, Misono asked Tetsu not to share the new information with anyone else?  So assuming they stuck to that plan, Tetsu knows something (presumably about Mikuni) that only a few other people know, which would be incentive enough for Mikuni to need Tetsu out of the way.

Or maybe he has an actual plan in place that involves getting his hands on Tetsu.

Or maybe he doesn’t actually know that Sakuya visited with Misono and Tetsu, and this has been part of some plan of Mikuni’s in an attempt to manipulate Misono’s hand and get him to play his moves in a certain order, just like when they were children playing chess together.

Or maybe he truly wants Misono to not be a part of all of this, and choosing Tetsu as a target in his plan was just a matter of coincidence.  The possibilities are endless, and it makes my head spin.  Does it make your head spin…?  Why does Servamp do that so well lmao?

I still stand by my theory that the Sendagaya family has some kind of meaningful connection to the world of magic.  I know I tend to put the Tsukimitsus up on a pedestal, but their family is canonically important to the world of magicians, and the fact that their mother is so stong-willed and traditional (as seen through Yumikage’s flashbacks and recent chapters) makes me believe that she raised her children with firm purpose, and when Miyako married a Sendagaya, it’s POSSIBLE it was for love, but more likely, it had some kind of dutiful significance behind it.  I really do hope we get a chapter where Tetsu just breaks out some kind of kickass magical power like, “Oh, yeah, this.  I didn’t mention it because I just didn’t think it was relevant.”  That would simply be typical Tetsu fashion.

Also, I’m stoked for Yumikage and Miyako to be searching for Tetsu together.  Please let Tetsu’s sister(s) join them at some point.  This is the perfect lead-in for their introduction.

BUT ONE MORE NOTE (or maybe more later, idk I’m having so many feelings about them right now) on this whole “Tsurugi is going to stay at the Alicein mansion while we search” thing -- if Misono and Tsurugi are both at the mansion, these would be nice conditions for Mikuni to show up undetected and let a shitstorm brew.  Mikuni (presumably) loves Misono and (presumably) hates Tsurugi on the opposite deep ends of the spectrum.  The fact that Tsurugi is growing up a little bit is also probably a thorn in his side (as we’ve seen when Tsurugi stood up to Touma for the first time while Mikuni watched from the control room, clearly having some thoughts on the situation.)  Part of me feels like he still has plans for Tsurugi.  (I mean, plans other than the one where he told Nico to kill Tsurugi and Sigurd.  Because seriously, what kind of a Mikuni-approved plan is that?  It just doesn’t feel like something he would do honestly.  But who knows anymore.)

Obviously, things are in motion now, with Sigurd wanting Mikuni dead before operation “Gambit,” and Mikuni wanting Sigurd and Tsurugi dead in (if I remember correctly) less than twenty-four hours.

There are so many things happening at once.  My head hurts.  But I love it.

The man with the whole metal arm and Captain America stand up

They each introduce yourself and wow you just shook Captain America’s hand how does that feel

Steve likes you ngl he thinks you’re neat

Bucky doesn’t give you his metal arm to shake and you are thankful for that because you think you might pass out any second if he did

They invite you to sit down so you do and then Peter sits right next to you but then Steve sits on your other side and you’re so nervous

They’re watching some dumb action movie but like they’re the avengers that’s their whole lives

Bucky stays quiet but will laugh whenever Steve makes a crack about Peter being too awkward to have a relationship yet

Tony Steve and Natasha just destroy Peter

Fanfiction - MikuTsuru’s Halloween Party

Helloooo everyone, and Happy Halloween~ 

This fic has been written for the Servamp-Love Discord Server Halloween Event ! It was written in two parts by @amaranight and I, and we decided to put it under one post. And yes, it’s MikuTsuru because this ship is gold.

Little summary, basically that's Mikuni and Tsurugi doing shit dressed up as maids in their school at the Halloween party when they were younger.

Touma did not really like to come back to his former Institute. However, it was for a special occasion this time, so he would go as far as to go out on his day off to come back to it. As far as he was concerned, he wasn’t particularly fond of Halloween - did such a celebration still make sense when you know that vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural beings actually live among society? But it appeared even the higher-up kids staying at the Mikado-Ichinose Academy did. Touma had left school long ago, but under the insistence of both Tsurugi and the Tsukimitsu heir, he had reluctantly accepted the invitation.

 Tsurugi was prancing before him, seemingly very happy to go to school on a Friday night. He was not wearing his uniform, and had explained to Touma it was because the students had prepared costumes they would be putting on in the school directly.

“We’re gonna treat and trick everybody out there!”

He turned himself to wink at Touma:

“We’re gonna make all the posh people give us their monies!”

Touma sighed, he wasn’t sure it was what the spirit of Halloween the Tsukimitsu heir had harping on at him was about. He wasn’t opposed to Tsurugi’s vision, though, but the boy looked a bit too enthusiastic and he didn’t like that about him.

“Stop babbling nonsense or I’ll turn away back home.

“That’s too bad Tai, you’ll miss all the candies.

“I don’t like candies.”

“You’re not fun!”

“I’m not here to have fun.”

Tsurugi pouted but stopped confronting his guardian, perfectly aware that Taishi was not the party type at all, and that he was really forcing himself to take part in the festivities. Another reason to make this outing even greater, so that Touma would not regret to have accompanied him. He wanted to show him his friends, and the stands and costumes the students had made.

 All in all, Touma was right in thinking that his protégé was overexcited. When they reached the Institute’s entrance, Tsurugi went on saying hello to literally everybody they met, not failing to introduce to them his “big brother” with a bright smile on his face. Touma was pretty sure none of those people cared the slightest. Nobody recognized him anyway, which was some kind of relief to him. As they strolled among the stands, surrounded by costumed young people, he would let Tsurugi make the small talk. It was just a rough patch to go through.

 The patch went even rougher when, in the main hall Touma had not entered for so long, they ran across the Tsukimitsu brothers, both of them wearing the school uniform, which seemed utterly ridiculous to Touma and made Tsurugi scream:

“Yumi-chan!!! That’s the wrong costume for tonight!!!”

The youngest of the brothers blushed and pouted, not very content the boy had to make such a fuss of his clothes in front of adults.

“You need to calm down, Kamiya -”

“Why?! It’s Halloween, Yumi-chan, Halloween!! I’ve never had any Halloween before!! The decorating and the people are so fancy!!

“You’re definitely the fancy one, Kamiya Tsurugi, Yumi’s brother said with a light smile on his face. And you’ve even managed to get Touma Taishi to join us!”

Touma rolled his eyes. It was a long time since he had last talked with Tsukimitsu Yoshihide, and he was not really eager to reiterate this experience.

“You’re not wearing any costume,” Yoshihide went on.

“We gotta get ours!” Tsurugi suggested to Yumikage.

“You’re not going anywhere,” Touma muttered, very reluctant to leave his protégé unsupervised, and, most of all, to remain alone with the Tsukimitsu heir. “And you’re not wearing any either, Yoshihide.”

“Well I’m part of the staff, I can’t take part in the masquerade. Though as you’re a VIP, I guess you could have brought something to dress up…”

“I’m absolutely not dressing up”, Touma said with a dry voice.  

While Yoshihide was pondering on which fancy dress could have suited his former classmate best, Yumikage took Tsurugi by the arm. He did not really want to see nor even to imagine a costumed Touma, and, most of all, he found his brother’s talk rather embarrassing, and had more interesting things to take care of.

“I heard the Alicein lad has arrived.”

Tsurugi’s gaze lighted up.

“Let’s go to the changing room, Yumi-chan!!”

He had just said that, that he was already leaving the place, followed by his classmate. His reaction was so quick that Touma could not even protest. Anyway, Yoshihide took him by the shoulder, explaining with a bright smile that he had to show him around. Touma was not smiling at all.

 Tsurugi and Yumikage hurried up to the classroom where the students had been stocking all their fancy dresses. It was looked after by a Junior High schooler, Tsuyuki Shuuhei, who held a list of every student that had entered and left the room. When he saw the Seniors coming, he checked his list and sighted:

“You’re like the last ones, you know.

“The best always come last, that’s a diva rule”, Yumikage grinned, slamming the door open.  

Inside, most of the clothes were regular ones, for Tsuyuki had not lied and the duet were actually among the last students to come and put on their costumes. In fact, there was someone else in the room - Tsuyuki’s classmate and an acquaintance of Tsurugi, Alicein Mikuni.

“Well look who’s there! My favourite roommate!!”

“Do you have had a lot of roommates?” Yumikage asked.

“Impossible, he’s way to insufferable,” Mikuni answered.

“That’s not true, I’m very popular! Am I not, Shuuhei?”

A weary mumble came out from outside the room. The boy was probably not used to take care of such noisy students. Tsurugi took this answer as a yes, and he went on:

“What fancy dress have you chosen, Kuni-chan?”   

“You’ll see soon enough.”

“So much suspense!! Do you wanna see mine?”

“I’ll see soon enough as well.”

“I’m sure you’ll love it!! Won’t he, Yumi-chan?”

The other nodded. Mikuni did not seem to care. Actually he appeared to be quite preoccupied. He kept going through the hanging rails, frowning. Tsurugi and Yumikage were following his moves, apparently very concerned by the boy’s agitation. Finally, he stopped and sighted:

“I can’t find it.”

Behind him, Tsurugi and Yumikage exchanged a knowing look. With a concerned voice that was actually a bit too concerned to be honest, Tsurugi asked if anything important had gone missing. Mikuni went on sighing.

“My costume has vanished. I’m sure I’ve put it with the others earlier today…”

“That’s terrible!!!” Tsurugi shrieked. “You must have made a mistake, I’m sure it’s somewhere in there…”

He began rummaging through the hangers. Mikuni watched him, still hoping that he might find something, though a miracle didn’t seem very likely. Indeed, Tsurugi came back empty-handed. He seemed to be at least as disappointed as Mikuni, if not more. He put his hands on the boy’s shoulders, and, in a solemn tone, declared:

“Yumi-chan, Kuni-chan, we have a situation.”

Mikuni seemed to hesitate between laughing and sighing once more - which happened to him quite often when he was with Tsurugi. Unable to decide which reaction was the most appropriate, all he could answer was:

“Uh?”

Tsurugi patted his friend’s shoulder, understanding his confusion given the sad discover he had just made, and turned to Yumikage.

“Yumi-chan, do you have some idea about this mysterious disappearance?”

He shaked his head, but quickly found a more complete answer:

“Tsuyuki should know. He keeps a record about this room, right?”

“Yes, yes, of course!!”

Taking Mikuni by the arm, Tsurugi went in the corridor to question Tsuyuki.

“Shuuhei, we have a situation.”

“You’ve already said that,” Mikuni pointed.

“It’s still valid!!”

“What’s going on? Tsuyuki asked, not convinced at all by his elder’s behaviour.

“A costume has been stolen!!

“Why do you straightaway assume it has stolen?!” Mikuni bursted.

“It’s Halloween. Someone must have tricked you. Either that or it has vanished because of the evil spirits.”

“Why are you like this?”

Surely Shuuhei was thinking the same as Mikuni, however he could not overlook his cloakroom guardian’s duties, and he went back into the room with them to check they were not actually tricking him. Having helped him to turn upside down the dressing room, the boys found out that there was definitely no trace of Mikuni’s costume.

“I liked it,” the boy complained. “It was a vampire one.”

Shuuhei started at the monster’s mention, which made Mikuni giggle. Tsurugi added that, as a vampire specialist, he was convinced Mikuni would have made a great one, and therefore he was deeply affected by the costume’s loss. Judging by the way he stared at his friend, Yumikage probably found that Tsurugi was overdoing it, but he had also something to say on the matter.

“I still can’t figure out how your costume could simply vanish, Alicein. Especially when such a diligent student is in charge of them…”

It was enough to make Tsurugi turned to Tsuyuki with an inquisitive tone:

“Tsuyuki Shuuhei!!! Were you in charge of all the students’ costumes yes or no??”

“Of course I am, I -”

“Ah! Of course you are! Then how do you explain this paranormal phenomenon?!”

“I - I don’t think there’s any paranormal activity linked to it, to begin with -”

“What do you know about that? Are you qualified to judge if a situation is paranormal or not? Kuni-chan is, and so am I. Is this a paranormal situation, Kuni-chan?”

“Your stupidity is paranormal.”

“Kuni-chan says yes!”

“It’s not what he -”

“To be honest Tsuyuki, it’d better be paranormal. For you, I mean,” Yumikage added. “If it’s not, it means some evildoer got into the changing room and chose to ridiculise one of the students by throwing away his costume… Too bad you’re the one supposed to take care of them, in that case.”

There was a silence, during which the seniors stared severely at the junior high schooler. Mikuni interrupted it, believing they were going a bit too far for a matter that was, in the end, rather trivial.

“Shuuhei did not steal my stuff, Tsukimitsu.”

“I’m not saying he did, but he was careless.”

“I did not leave this room’s entrance one minute!”

Yumikage shrugged his shoulders and took his own costume from the hanging rail.

“That’s what you say. Anyway I’m not going to miss the party because of you. I’ll be changing, you’d better find a solution.”

Once he had left to the back of the room in order to change, Tsurugi took Shuuhei by one arm, and Mikuni by the other.

“Guys, I see only one solution. We’ve gotta find another costume for Kuni-chan.”

“You’re doing way to much fuss for a simple party, Tsurugi. I’m going back to C3 if it’s to hear anymore of your crap.”

“But it’s Halloween, Kuni-chan!!! Halloween!!! You’re not going to celebrate Halloween on your own in the gloomy hole of C3!!! As your tutor, I’m not letting you doing such a fool thing. I’ll take personal responsibility of you from now on.”

He turned back to Shuuhei:

“Tell me lad, do you have any costumes left?”

“First, I’m not a sales assistant, second, don’t call me lad -”

“Okay, lad, can you check for me please?”

The boy reluctantly obliged, mostly because he felt somewhat guilty of Mikuni’s problem. Thanks to his list, he found out that one student was unable to come because of a fever. Her costume was to be somewhere on the hanging rail…

“Wait, did you just say “her”?” Mikuni shrieked.

“Oh please, Kuni-chan, it’s carnival! Nobody even cares about genders!”

Saying that, Tsurugi searched the whole dressing room for the third time, and pulled out two fancy dresses - two maid outfits, one black and white covered in fake blood, and the other one, ripped, of a washed-out blue. As Mikuni and Shuuhei’s faces looking rather unpleased with theses finds, he explained:

“This one is mine - I’m sorry, Kuni-chan. You’ll have to take the blue one, though I admit it’s less fancy.”

“Why would you even dress up as a maid?!”

“Because it suits me! I’m sure it’ll suit you as well! And then we’ll match!!”

“I don’t want to match with you!”

“You’re too modest. Everybody dreams of matching with such a pretty boy as me. And let me tell you you’re kinda good looking as well. I’m sure you can pull that off.”

He looked at the dresses once more, then back at Mikuni, nodded, and concluded:

“And if you can’t, then you’re a loser, and you’ll invite me to lunch for the week.”

Be it because he was upset or embarrassed by such an assumption, Mikuni blushed and finally snatched the dress away from Tsurugi.

“I’m not a loser, and I’m not paying you”, he added, going away to change.

Tsurugi burst out of laughter.

“That’s my Kuni-chan!! Wait for me, I bet you’ve never put on a dress, I’ll help you!”

“How the heck do you know that kind of stuff?!”

“You ask too much questions, Kuni-chan…”

 When the two boys finally came out all dressed up, Yumikage was waiting for them in the corridor. Tsurugi was very anxious to show “his” maid to his friends, while Mikuni did not quite share his excitement, being deeply convinced that wearing such a get-up made of them outright weirdos. In the corridor, they met up with Yumikage and two persons Mikuni did not know, a sort of zombie and another maid - though a real one this time, for she was an actual pretty girl.

“Waw, Shifumi, you’re the real deal!” Tsurugi bursted. “How do you find us? We do compete with you, don’t we?”

“Well that sure makes a lot of maids”, the girl smiled, winking at Yumikage.

Tsurugi stopped smiling, though. He had just realised that his childhood friend had also dressed up as a girl.

“Oh dear Yumi-chan you’re such a weirdo!!!!!”

“You’re one to talk!!” Mikuni protested.

“I’ll be the most popular maid of them all!” Yumikage declared.

“The weirdest!!”

The zombie cleared his throat and pulled apart the two noisy maids.

“Sometimes I do wonder why I’m still hanging out with you guys,” he sighed.

“Because I’m cute!”

“You have a peculiar definition of that term, Tsurugi,” Mikuni remarked.

“Example: Kuni-chan is a cutie. Countexample: Yumi-chan isn’t.”

“You’re just jealous!”

“Yumi-chan isn’t at all.”

While they were arguing again, the other boy turned to Mikuni.

“You’re one of Tsurugi’s friend? I’m Kurumamori Junichiro, I’ve known the guy since primary school... But I’ve never seen you around, so you must be his famous roommate.”

“Ha, he talks about me?”

“He keeps saying you’re an odd one - I guess that explains why you’re dressed up like these two are.”

“I’m not like that, usually. However Tsurugi is always this way.”

“Tsurugi’s cute,” Shifumi added. “I think it’s great he takes care of a younger student. He’d do a great big brother.”

Mikuni pouted, he didn’t need to be take care of, and especially by a savage like Tsurugi. His interlocutors giggled.

“By the way, where did Shuuhei go?” Mikuni asked, noticing the corridor was empty except for them and the two noisy maids, who might be linked to the fact they had been left alone.

“He said some costume had been lost,” Jun explained. “He closed the dressing room to go searching for it.”

Mikuni stared at them blankly, bemused. That Shuuhei was quite a character as well! Though the disappearance of the costume still bothered him, Mikuni was more focus on how he was supposed to enjoy his evening dressed up like he was. He especially despised the lace headpiece Tsurugi had carefully attached in Mikuni’s hair. And yet it was not even as bad as the glittering black bow tie that stood out on the light blue of the dress itself and on the ripped apron on which Tsurugi had added some fake blood. Mikuni was not fond of his torn tights either, tough, nor of his derbies. All in all, he really was not convinced by the validity of this fancy dress, and all the fuss Tsurugi was making of it did not help. As long as they remained in this isolated corridor, however, he did not really mind.

 Of course, Tsurugi would not let him have it his way. Being apparently weary of fighting with Yumikage, he took Mikuni by the arm and, arm in arm, he made him head to the stairway.

“We’re out of there, Kuni-chan! I can’t stay near someone that is so deprived of any common sense.”

“Common sense hates you, Kamiya Tsurugi!” Yumikage shouted.

“Blah blah blah, I can’t hear haters!”

Mikuni looked at Tsurugi:

“Don’t tell me you’re seriously planning on strolling around dressed up like that.”

“We’re doing our fashion show, Kuni-chan! The world will leered at us!”

“I don’t want anybody to leer at me, you freak!!”

“Well, that’s a mistake. Hotties like us should always use their bodies to win people’s favours. That’s what maids are for.”

“Shut up. I don’t even want to talk to you ever again -”

But Tsurugi firmly held his arm, and, as he was not comfortable in his derbies, it would have been difficult for Mikuni to run away. He was stuck with a three-year-older crossdressing pervert for the evening.

Tsurugi was dragging Mikuni everywhere he could, wanting to show to everyone that beautiful scene. The name "Alicein" being well known in school, lots of eyes watched them as they wandered through the corridors. It's not everyday that you can see that, after all.

"Aren't we having fun, Kuni-chan~ ?" Tsurugi asked.

Seeing the death glare the other gave him, Tsurugi laughed and thought of something they could do.

"So scary ! Buuuut, I have an idea ! There're a lot of stands, we could stop at one ! I can even win you a Teddy Bear at a shooting stand if you want~"

"You and your damn stands can go to hell. There's no way we sto-"

Mikuni paused. A wide grin spread on his lips. Tsurugi followed his gaze to see what caught his attention, he swallowed when he saw what it was. A knife throwing stand.

"Kuni-chan, you're not serious, aren't you ? You're not gonna take any risks of hurting my beautiful face !"

This time, it was Mikuni dragging Tsurugi by the arm. As Tsurugi tried to run away, the sadistic heir grabbed him and put him on his shoulder.

"P-put me on the ground !! I'm not a potato bag !!" Tsurugi whined as he was punching Mikuni's back, trying to break free of his arms. But, as expected, the blond was quite strong. Once at the stand, Mikuni smide proudly as he asked the two disguised girls, who were trying not to laugh at this scene, how the stand worked.

"Hello, little witches~ So, do I just stab him or what do I do ?"

A cry of protestation could be heard by the potato bag, that no one listened, as the girl went on.

"We attach him to the wall and you have to throw these fake knives on the targets that we'll stick around his body. But you mustn't touch him, or you won't win the prize !

"Oh, don't worry, I'll aim the targets."

"No he won't !! Please, help me !! He'll kill me !!! These knives are fakes but he'll still kill me !!!"

Mikuni couldn't have a wider grin as he attached Tsurugi to the wall with the little rope put there for that. After the Tsurugi's wrist was tied up, he looked at Mikuni.

"Ya know, if you wanted to see me in such an indecent position, you just could have asked and I would have set that up for tonight, without all those people watching us~"

"W-what ?! You pervert ! Stop having weird pictures like that in your head !!!" Mikuni yelled as he took a step back. Maybe Tsurugi will be dead within 5 minutes, but at least he could steal a blush from his murderer. As Mikuni was searching for the fake knives, the voices of the two girls could be heard behind them.

"How could we name them ! They're too cute together !" asked one of the girl with red hair.

"What about... MikuTsuru ! A fusion of their name !" Answered the other girl who, despite being dressed as a witch, had a ton of the manga "Nanbaka"'s badges on her hat. The two of them continued fangirling over the two, but Mikuni was too embarassed to say a word and began throwing the fake knives instead.

"Whoops, seems like I'm not that good at knive throwing, what a shame is that~" said Mikuni as he and Tsurugi walked out of the stand.

"Kuni-chan, you're so mean ! You threw them at me on purpose ! And you didn't even win the prize !" Tsurugi's complaints only made the other laugh. Mikuni has to say he's enjoying himself more than he thought the would.

"Poor little thing you are. Now, where shall we go ?"

"Anywhere, as long as it's not your idea !!"

"Fine, fine. You can choose." He sighed. After some minutes, they arrived in front of another stand that intrigued Tsurugi.

"What about we go into that haunted house ? It's like an old manor, like in movies !"

Mikuni thought for a second. "Oh, that's right. It's your first Halloween. These haunted house are full of cheap plastic stuff."

"But pleeeeeeease, Kuni-chan ! I want to go into one of them !"

Tsurugi clinged at Mikuni's arm, begging him. He really wanted to see how it was. After what seemed an eternity, Mikuni agreed.

"Okay, I'll go with you. Now shut up and stop acting like a clingy girlfriend !"

Mikuni arbored a bored face as they walked in the house. Fake witches, fake chainsaw, lots of fake blood. The Alicein manor were he used to live was way scarier than that. Actually, it was him who had fun scaring the other domestics, at night.

The blond turned to the raven, but wasn't ready to see him like that. He was really pale and was shaking a bit.

"What, don't tell me you're scared ? You, Kamiya Tsurugi, one of the most feared vampire killers, scared of here ??" He bursted out of laughter.

"Hey ! I'm not scared, you are !! It's j-"

A small, high-pitched cry came out of Tsurugi's mouth as he threw himself into Mikuni's arm, after a screamer from the closet scared him.

By reflex, Mikuni wrapped his arms securly around him, as a small blush appeared on his face. He could have pictured everything but that to happen. Tsurugi isn't the type to be scared of haunted houses, at all. Mikuni tried to reassure him as he could.

"Hey, you okay ? It's only special effects. It's not real, so don't worry about it."

Tsurugi nodded, a bit ashamed to look Mikuni in the eyes after that. They continued walking, and the way looked longer than it really was. Mikuni saw that Tsurugi still wasn't totally fine. He sighed, maybe he'll regret what he was about to later, but at the moment it seemed like the best thing to do.

Tsurugi kept his gaze on the floor, when he felt Mikuni's hand grab his firmly. Without a word, they made their way to the exit. Surprisingly, the raven wasn't as scared as the beggining.

"So ! What could we do now ? It's quickly going to be annoying if we don't do something more fun. It's Halloween, after all !" Mikuni complained, and began to think.

"What, you wanna go trick or treat, Kuni-chan ? I thought only children do that, under your sharp glare, you have a sweet heart~"

"Shut the hell up ! I'm not talking about going trick or treating !" He tried to hit Tsurugi, who dodged.

"So, if you would listen, I'll teach you something. Children go know on people's door, which is funny when your six. Oh, you should have seen Misono when he was younger, asking 'trick or treat !' with his little mouth !" He paused, realizing that he was wandering in his words. "So, hum, yeah. Tsurugi raised a bow, watching Mikuni's thinking face carefully, interested by what he was saying.

"Hmm~ ? Tell me everything, Kuni-chan !"

"Okay, but first, let's go somewhere people won't hear us."

"You want to drag me in a dark place with no people ? Are you sure you really aren't a perv ?!"

"Won't you shut up ?!" The went near a door that leads into the school's basements. "First of all, you agree with me that this school is full of people that deserves a good punishment ?" Tsurugi nodded and he went on. "Also, you know, they keep fireworks for the end of the year's party ?"

Tsurugi's brows furrowed. "Fireworks... ? What the heck do you want to do with fireworks ?"

Mikuni grinned. "Pets are scared when they hear them. They can't see the beautiful colors, they only hear the big booms and they panic. People of here are no different. If they don't see the beautiful colors, but only hear the sounds, they'll start to panic. And trust me, it's soooo funny to see~"

It didn't take more than a minute to Tsurugi to agree with that plan. They'll probably get in troubles for that later but who cares. Mikuni took a key from his pocket, key that opened to door of the school's basements.

"Wait, how do you have that ? It's supposed to be locked." Tsurugi asked, not that surprised.

"I just... got it. Don't ask." He nodded, knowing that he won't find out why. It was Mikuni Alicein, after all. They walked into the dark corridors, as the echo of strange noises resoned.

"Hey, Kuni-chan, are you sure we're alone in there ?"

"Of course I am. Nobody else got that key except some teachers, and now they're all upstairs, busy with the party."

"Then... what are all these noises ? Is it a ghost, you think ??!"

"Ghosts don't exist, dumbass." They walked in silence as Tsurugi followed Mikuni. There still were noises, more and more, and even Mikuni wasn't reassured. He walked faster. It was stupid, ghosts don't exist.

They arrived in front of a room. Mikuni opened it and he landed a box to Tsurugi.

"This is full of fireworks. Grab them carefully."

"Why is this me holding ?! It was your idea !"

"So what ? Hold it, or I leave you in the dark."

"Mean, very mean Kuni-chan !!" They didn't have time to argue any longer that a loud noise happened, as if a shelf broke and fell on the ground.

Both of the boys jumped when they heard that.

"A-are you sure we're alone, Kuni-c-chan ??"

"I... I guess !" They quickly headed to the door, but when they opened to door, another loud noise came. They jumped again and high-pitched cries came out of their mouthes as they run upstairs. After that, a little voice could be heard, but it was too late for the two to hear it.

"God... I really got bad luck... and it's not here either..."

The boys were careful not to be noticed by the other people. Tsurugi followed Mikuni, who was climbing the stairs of the school.

"You see ?! Ghosts do exist !"

"No, they don't !" Though, Mikuni wasn't so sure of what he was saying now. Tsurugi sighed, as they arrived on the roof of the school. There was a ladder that overelooked a higher point of the roof.

"Okay, now we're setting the fireworks on the highest point. Let's climb."

"Go first, I'll stay behind you in case you fall~" Tsurugi grinned, and Mikuni told him to shut up. He began to climb with the box in his hand. After a few seconds, he felt drafts on his legs and above. Oh. That's right. The maid costume. Wait.... it's a fucking dress, and Tsurugi below him. He turned his head to see Tsurugi grinning and blushed furiously. They looked into each other eyes for a few seconds. For a few, very, very, very cringy seconds that seemed like at least three eternities to both of them

"You- you..." Began Mikuni. "You're the fucking pervert here !!! As if you wanted to catch me, you just wanted to enjoy de view !!" Tsurugi bursted out of laughter. "Well, you weren't against it !"

"I should throw the fireworks in your fucking face !!!" Which he really wanted to do right now. He contained himself and forced himself to climb up. Once there, Mikuni put the fireworks. By chance, there were remotely controlled.

"What do we do now ?" Asked Tsurugi, impatient to see what will happen.

"It's always better to see things from above. We'll climb down and go on the gym's roof, the batiment in front of us. It's high, we'll have a great view." Tsurugi nodded and followed him. Once in front of their school, it was past 11pm. They could see the lights in their school.

Mikuni and Tsurugi sat on the roof. "Ready ?" Asked Mikuni, holding the red button they only needed to push. "More than ever !" answered Tsurugi, as they both pushed it. A big boom happened, and the view was beautiful and really colored. Mikuni saw Tsurugi smile. "Wait, it's now that it's becoming funny".

A few seconds later only, the fire alarm rang until their ears. Someone probably thought a bomb explosed and enclenched it. It didn't last long before firefighters sirens could also be heard.

Sure, it wouldn't last long before the people and the firefighters would notice it wasn't a bomb, but it still was so great to see everyone panicking and coming out of the school. A beautiful, apocalyptic scene, seen by Tsurugi and Mikuni.

"Happy Halloween, Tsurugi."

"Happy Halloween, Kuni-chan."

A while later, on the school's roof, Shuuhei appeared, searching for Mikuni that the thought he saw there, holding a costume all ripped and seeming to have been thrown into a bin.

"I FINALLY FOUND YOUR COSTUME, MIKUNI SENPAI !"

KuroMahi Week 2k18 | Day 1 - reunion/farewell:

“Kuro, I'm going out for a bit,” Mahiru called out as he passed by the living room on his way to the door.

Kuro sat up, turning his head to watch Mahiru as he pulled on his shoes by the door.

“What? Where? Why?”

Mahiru looked up, slightly surprised at Kuro’s questions. “I just need a couple of things from the grocery store for dinner.”

Kuro stood up from the couch where he sat and walked over to where Mahiru was. He leaned against a nearby wall, his expression blank.

“I’ll just go by myself. It’s kind of bright outside too, so that’s probably best. And it’s not far from here, so no need to worry about our distance-”

Mahiru’s words were cut off when Kuro suddenly wrapped his arms around him, holding him close and burying his head in the crook of Mahiru’s neck.

“...I'll still miss you.”

If they weren't as physically close as they currently were, Mahiru wouldn't have caught that sentence. Spoken so quietly into his shoulder, Kuro’s words were shy but honest.

Mahiru slowly moved his arms around Kuro, returning the hug and awkwardly patting his back. He was a little puzzled by this sudden display of affection, but appreciated it nevertheless.

Kuro clung to him and it made Mahiru think about how he rarely saw this side of the vampire. Kuro could be rather protective at times and almost clingy - in a way that was never overbearing, though - but he usually avoided being too obvious about it. Right now though, Kuro was plainly showing this side of himself.

Mahiru attempted to pull away moments later, but to no avail; Kuro still held him close and muttered a barely audible wait.

Amused at Kuro’s behaviour, Mahiru laughed lightly. “Kuro, I'll be back in less than fifteen minutes. You have a hard time saying goodbye, don't you?”

“...Don’t say troublesome things like that.”

Kuro’s tone had changed. Sensing that there was something more to Kuro’s actions, Mahiru frowned, but didn't say anything. He waited, hoping that Kuro might provide an explanation.

“Just… come back quickly and safely, okay?”

His eyes widened at that request, not exactly expecting Kuro to say something like that. “Hey Kuro, what's up?”

Kuro sighed wearily, “Mm, nothing, really. It’s a pain to talk about but… I just don't like being away from you for too long.”

Mahiru removed himself from Kuro’s hold and Kuro didn't object the separation this time. He looked up at him with a curious expression.

“Stupid, I know. I just don't like it when you're not here, I guess. Even if it’s only for a little bit. So come back quick, okay? I'm hungry too.”

Mahiru thought he understood what Kuro meant. If he was honest, he felt the same.

Because somehow, Mahiru and Kuro were everything to each other and so much more.

Mahiru smiled lovingly at Kuro which caused him to glance away, a soft blush on his cheeks. He was a bit embarrassed for being this way, but he couldn't help his need to have Mahiru around as much as possible.

“I'll be back soon, Kuro. I promise, okay? I love you.”

Kuro nodded and leaned forward, connecting their lips in a short and sweet kiss. He retracted and reached out to hold Mahiru’s hand briefly, giving a gentle squeeze.

“I love you too.”

I half-expect every new character intro to have a sparkly introduction thing with it. For this sort of show, which hasn’t done anything with the sister(?) from the beginning moments, it seems kind of…inundating the series with characters for characters’ sake. That’s bad, y’know.

There are enough bits of interesting stuff to keep me watching, but I anticipate this’ll be like Tsukigakirei (as in, I keep complaining about the bad parts, even if I enjoy the show in general). That’s why it’s going on hold. By the way, I thought about Nil Admirari and that’s been dropped, but I’ll reevaluate it if I need something that fits its niche sometime in the future.

This show’s going on a 1 month hiatus…which is really sabotaging my schedule, but what can you do about it? Nothing, aside from wait.

Wait, that end bit was definitely different. Normally everyone raises their hands at this stage and the plane goes off into the distance. This time everyone brings their hands out from under Riku’s and no plane is in the sky…things are really getting serious. Is it wrong that this show sometimes makes me a bit anxious?

Sometimes it’s hard to believe Riku and Iori are brothers…

What’s with the fish-eye lens on Tsumugi and the van?

The point of fans is to be in tune with their idols and vice versa. That’s the power of idols and their fans!

I noticed Gaku is wearing a cross necklace. That certainly wouldn’t fly on American TV, would it?

I got kinda anxious with the last lot of episodes that concerned the song theft, so that explains why I’m feeling kind of anxious now as well…

I think I understand the use of the fish-eye lens now. This one particularly gives an idea of invasion and creepiness. It’s probably more spot on than Junji Ito Collection, and that’s saying something!

It’s interesting that Sougo takes on the role of the surrogate mother here for Tamaki…

Shared abilities?

This post was meant to mostly analyze Ray’s ability and some things that I have been wondering about it for a while but I have to talk about other characters too in order to point out stuff that I have noticed in order to understand some things.

Ok, so I’ve seen a couple of discussions here in regards to Ray’s situation, things like the possibility of him getting a prosthetic arm and also the fact that he won’t be able to use his ability “Illumination”. But, this got me wondering...will he truly not be able to use it anymore? I want to bring up something that we all must have noticed about his ability and probably tried to figure out something about it and I did ask myself quite a few questions. Let’s remember this panel here:

When Ray got injured, he asked Gil to give him a hand and together they could use “Illumination”. So, I was wondering, how did it work? What were the conditions? How is that his skill worked even though he was not using both of his own hands? If we look at other subclasses (mostly Team Melancholy), each one has a unique ability. Some of them involve objects/weapons while others don’t. In the case with users that have objects, do you think Shamrock can use Belkia’s magical box or Belkia can use Otogiri’s puppets at full potential? It appears unlikely seeing as those things can only be summoned by the respective subclass, right? You all guys remember when Belkia used his magic box to trap Hugh. Well, I imagined a different scenario for that moment. Let’ say that Belkia just summons the box, it’s out on the field but somehow he didn’t get right away the chance to entrap Hugh with it. He could have been pushed back by the swarm of bats that were summoned by the Pride pair when “Black Box” was used. Belkia, being a distance away from it, could have shouted to Shamrock something like “THE BOX! QUICK!” and Sham would have known what do and he managed to put the box over Hugh, but I don’t think he would have been able to activate its power to make Hugh disappear the instant he covered him with it. Shamrock would have just bought some time for Belkia who made his way near the box. Now, because the box is an item that was summoned by Belkia and thus having a connection with him, it would work because it would have resonated with Belkia, with his energy that is within him. So yeah, I’m gonna use the idea of “energy” a lot in this discussion. Does that make sense? I would really like to hear from you guys! Basically, I believe that the power of the box would only work if Belkia was touching it, with the addition of saying some magic words, just like a magician would. As I mentioned above, the box wouldn’t have enabled it’s true potential if it wasn’t handled by someone who was not compatible with it. It required Belkia’s energy to basically turn it on. ...This what I believe. What do you think until now? Coming back to Ray’s ability, here we have the case of an ability which does not involve an item. It involves, yet again energy. What do you guys think that were the conditions that his ability could still work when one of his hands was impaired? Ray asked Gil’s help right away when he was hurt, knowing that he could still use his ability if he can just form the shape of the “photo frame”. Was that the condition? It could be one of them of course, but I think there might be more involved and I believe it’s again the matter of energy and compatibility. Alright, as you might have noticed, some abilities reflect something that might have had a great influence/impact on the user during their life as humans. Let’s take Gil for example. He is able to summon water and this must have been an influence of his hometown, Venice. Being so close to water and having an affinity for it is what shaped his ability. With Ray, I dunno what much I can say except that he must have liked photography xD

I tried to come up with explanations as to how “Illumination” still worked in that manner and the first thing, which I actually ruled out was the fact that they both share a creator, which is The Mother, because as mentioned above with the case of Team Melancholy who belong to Tsubaki, each subclass has their particular ability. Now,  I regard the Servamps as parents while subclasses are like children, in a way they become like pseudo-siblings much like the Servamps are. Also, just wanted to say that when I saw the first image of Gil and Ray when they broke out from their cell, I thought they might have been brothers! xD

Siblings usually share similarities and while we are on the subject, I want to take for example Yully and Marry, who are twins and it looks like they have the same power. Though, I have to wonder if works only when the two of them join hands.

So, besides that they share the same creator and had his blood, they also have a real blood relation, being twins. Since they are identical and have the same DNA (I’m not good with biology and stuff like this so I can’t say something more elaborate, but that’s the premise right? So let’s go with that) Since they are identical, could their transformation as vampires had the same effect on both of them, meaning they developed the same kind of power?

Maybe for their case that’s a possibility, although there are also other tropes with twins that have opposite powers, like one can control water and the other fire.

Because of this only instance that we see her with them joining hands,  I kinda see Yully and Marry as being two halves a whole, and that’s why their power works in my opinion.

Now let’s get back to Gil and Ray and one crazy theory that I have. What if, at some point they drank each other’s blood? Heck, even when Ray lost his arm and loosing a lot of it I thought he would need to feed as soon as possible for him to recover. I imagined that they might have been involved in other serious fights and assuming that they needed either Wrath’s blood or bite other humans in order for them to recover and assuming that a scenario like this would have happened and the only available source of blood was from one another, by drinking blood, either Gil from Ray or vice versa, one of them would end up with life force or “energy” from the other.

When they used “Illumination”, I think it was possible to work with both of them because while Ray is the source that enables it, it can further work because the power recognizes Gil, finding a similarity to Ray’s energy.

I mean, I dunno if Wrath has other subclasses, but would anyone besides Gil  be compatible with Ray to make ‘Illumination” work like they did?

Is Ray’s ability just a matter of forming that picture frame with his hands and the other condition is that you have to be a vampire? Or maybe is possible to also work with a human, if the only condition is the first one?

Maybe I’m reading to much into a certain matter, but you guys have seen that the photo frame of Ray’s ability has a sun an a moon, right?

Well, in the preliminary designs of Gil and Ray, they were depicted with markings on their face that feature a crescent moon for Ray and sun for Gil (kinda like the ones on their shirts.).

I might sound biased right now but I think Tanaka-sensei made them to be really close, I mean they have a great partnership and all just look at the theme they gave to these two, which in my opinion is light, like the sun and the moon, when they join forces they shine even brighter, together they illuminate. (ahh the feels I have for them)

In a way, I consider that Gil is part of Ray’s ability because they share something, whether it’s my crazy theory with the blood/energy or having a strong spiritual bond and being an influence on one another. I think it was a surprise for them when they found out they can use “Illumination” together, so they just went with it.

Seeing as they are supernatural creatures, we can assume that it was a weird phenomena that happened and it just so happened with Ray’s ability, because I can’t say the same thing when it comes to Gil’s ability “Forbidden Lover”. Like, I don’t know if Ray can manipulate the water he summons.

In conclusion, there are people who believe that Ray can no longer use his ability, but I think he is still able to so with Gil’s help. Sure they need to adjust to the new situation, but I know they will work it out!

So yeah, let me hear your opinions guys!

YESSSSSSSS Aizawa and Mic are high school friends so I’m pretty sure it’s canon they waste time together, Blood King and Dog Hound are canon pals too so they also most probs chill together too! Blood King is also the same age as Aizawa and Mic so they probs used to go to school together too!!! And with Dog Hound being 32, Midnight being 31 and Cementoss and Thirteen being 28 they’re more or less all the same age, so I like to think they spend free time together~ some scenes with the teachers make me think they’re good pals with the older ones too, it’s a really fun group of people to be honest!

Yes she is!!!!! I like to think Jirou’s got at least basic knowledge for how to play any instrument ever, so when she’s laying around in the common room once she got used to her friends listening to her play she’d bring with herself the smaller and easier ones to carry! An ukulele has a super nice sound and is small enough to bring around the dorms haha

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I think I already answered this question? At some point? But I can’t find it, so in general my take is that I highly doubt Bakugou’s body isn’t built to withstand and not take damage from his own quirk (since his hands are made to hold up with it, I feel like the rest of his body is tailored around his quirk too), but I’m always up for disabled characters and the idea of Bakugou signing is beautiful to me, so I don’t mind the AU one bit! Dunno if I’ll ever draw for it tho, drawing jsl when I don’t know it is hard. I know that from experience.

That said, I do find the fics in which Bakugou becomes deaf because of his quirk a bit hard to believe most of the times? Because in all of them his ears are the only things taking damage for the continuous use of his quirk and I just sit here like, his eyes should be taking damage too. Normal eyes aren’t made to withstand explosions and stun grenades every day all day, so if his ears aren’t biologically made to hold against his quirk his eyes shouldn’t be either. 

Like, I read those fics and I find them real hard to believe because the authors aren’t pushing it hard enough, for me it’s either no damage at all or hoh AND visually impaired Bakugou, boy can’t be only half built to withstand his quirk that’d just be silly haha but that’s probably just me, the AU is Good 👍

He started doing so once he found himself with no hoodies left - he isn’t the type to just steal people’s clothes, I think, but if Bakugou started doing so first he’d probably find it acceptable to consider all their hoodies fair game hahaha

And then when the Anime was actually released we cried happy tears, didn't sleep and probably watched the first episode like 6 times xD ahh jeeeez, VEEERYYY GOOODDDD TIIMEEEESSSS like, it was truly beautiful, almost everyone had holidays so it'll be pure heaven to watch the series >w>)9 ! srsly, couldn't have been a better time ~ At that point tuesday was the official Servamp day ! :D nothing was more in important in life, IT JUST WASN'T. And after having watched every single episode we fans talked about it, spammed pics all over our other acc's, etc ~ For example my weekly SakuyaSpam on Instagram!  I simply posted almost every screenshot of Sakkun possible and wrote a bunch of texts down below =w=)❤️ ( especially enjoyable per episode 3 & 4..!! AHH YISSS ). It was just incredibly amazing to see all those characters in actual bright colors, moving and speaking with those ikemen-voices! dayum all those seiyuus ~ everyone did a great job \\\v\\\) ! SAKUYA'SVOICELIKEGODDAMMITYUTOEARGASM24/7. sadly there wasn't the AliceinArc or the very first Servamp rendez-vous in the restaurant, but ey, it was still enjoyable, ne ? \( >v>)/ Even my father said he didn't really understand what's up in the Anime but he was truly impressed by those character designs/animations ! The alternative ending that people chose for the Anime wasn't bad either, I liked that past of Tsubaki and how everything escalated right at the worldtree tower =v=)b Of course the ending will be faaaaar more different ! so excited what will happen ~~ letthesufferingcome.. ! So if fans are sort of confused about nearly everything, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO READ THE MANGA ~~~ P L E A S E ~~~ ;///;)9 !! the Manga is so much SO MUUUCHH deeper and exciting, just DO ITTTT :M !! I’m really in a World End mood lately and I can’t wait for him to make an appearance. I made a post about him entering the C3 chaos and I liked the idea that I wrote a fanfic on it.

The walls of C3’s headquarters were a bleak white but the people that filled its halls were anything but. To call them unconventional was an understatement. For better or worst, everyone in C3 had their own unique personality, quirks and past. After years of being around such colourful characters and always being prepared, Shuhei didn’t think he would meet someone that could genuinely surprise him.

Then he came across World End.

Shuhei was walking through the hall when he first met the Servamp of Gluttony. He had to stop and stare at the man. World End reluctantly agreed to join them after he heard that his siblings were gathered in the building so Shuhei wasn’t surprised by his presence. He was surprised to see him with his arm stuck in a vending machine.

Of course, with the luck Shuhei had, World End looked up and spotted him. “Hey, you! Help me out, will you?”

For a moment, Shuhei considered ignoring him but decided against it. The C3 needed his cooperation and he couldn’t leave him stuck in a vending machine. As much as he hated vampires, he knew better than to let his emotions get the better of him. Reluctantly, Shuhei stopped in front of him. “I have a key for vending machines here. Just give me a minute to find it.”

Shuhei began to shuffle through his bag but World End stopped him. “I don’t need a key. Just give this machine a good kick for me.”

At first, Shuhei didn’t know how to respond to him. World End tapped the vending machine and gestured to the chocolate bar that was caught in the machine. “I bought it fair and square and this stupid machine won’t give it to me! Just hit this machine hard enough that it falls so I can have my chocolate. That was my last coin too! I’m damn well going to get my chocolate bar so go all out and kick this thing!”

“Did you get your arm stuck by trying to reach in to get a stupid chocolate bar?” Shuhei screamed, completely shocked by World End. When he nodded in answer, Shuhei only became more frustrated with the vampire. “C3 will provide you with as much food as you can ask for so why did you do something as stupid as stick your arm in a vending machine?”

“I was hungry and I didn’t want to wait for them to bring me something.” World End told him casually and Shuhei patience waned even more. “Hey, you gonna kick this thing for me or not?”

“I don’t make a habit of vandalism. This is the easier solution, anyways.” Shuhei opened the vending machine door so World End could slip his arm out. He took the chocolate bar and held it out to World End. The Servamp was a little surprised when he dropped a few coins into his hand as well. “Here. Next time, just prepare for such situations. That should let you buy enough chocolate to satisfy your stomach.”

“Thanks! You really are a nice guy, aren’t you?” Even though Shuhei’s words was jagged at best, World End grinned up at him. The happy expression he gave him was different from the other vampires he knew but it wasn’t enough to sway Shuhei. He unwrapped the chocolate immediately and spoke to him between bites. “I’m kinda lost so can you take me to where they’re keeping my siblings.”

“I can’t. You already made me late for work but I’ll help you find them next time.” Shuhei brushed him off and continued down the hall. His patience for the vampire was already strained and he knew that he would lose his temper if he continued speaking with him. He heard World End call after him.

“Okay, see you next time then! And I promise I’ll return the favour for helping me. Wait, what’s your name? Mine’s World End!” Shuhei never answered him and continued walking away.

That short interaction occurred only a few days ago and Shuhei had completely forgotten about it. Ironically, those parting words were what saved him from Shamrock.

Shuhei struggled to gather enough strength to stand again but he collapsed to the ground every time he tried to push himself to his feet. Shamrock’s eyes were unfocused as he spoke about the past and Shuhei knew that this was his opportunity to catch him off guard. If only he had enough strength to cast a spell.

“Your father looked as desperate as you do right now. Will you beg me to spare you like he did too?” Shamrock finally turned his attention back to Shuhei. He stood over him and an ominous shadow began to coat Shamrock. Shuhei refused to let him see him afraid and gritted his teeth.

“Go to hell.” Shuhei spat and forced his body to stand. His voice had a lot more composure than he felt because his mind was racing, trying to find a way to escape. Shamrock smirked at his transparent defiance and started to attack him again. He couldn’t dodge so he raised his hand in a feeble attempt to cast another spell. But before he could finish his chant, someone tackled him out of the path of Shamrock’s attack.

When they finally rolled to a stop, Shuhei realized who saved him: the Servamp of Gluttony. As World End stood, he pushed Shuhei behind him. He was so shocked that he could only stare at the Servamp for a moment. He had been absent from the chaos around them that he almost slipped from his mind. World End didn’t seem to be as fazed and shifted into a boxer stance.

World End looked over his shoulder and smirked at Shuhei. “You said you’ll help me find my siblings the next time we met but you look pretty busy right now. I’ll take this guy down for you and then you’ll have time to take me to everyone. I do owe you one, after all.”

World End didn’t wait for him to answer before he dashed forward. He was faster than Shamrock and his punch sent him reeling back. He could barely regain his footing before World End took his arm and flipped him over his shoulder. Shamrock crashed into the ground and then World End’s kick sent him across the room. World End didn’t let up on his attacks and dashed forward to continue fighting.

Shuhei could barely track his movements because World End moved so quickly. He couldn’t believe his ears when World End muttered. “Damn, I’ve gotten slow. I knew I would be a little weaker but this is going to be annoying. At least this fight will give me a good warm up for a real fight.”

Slow? Weaker? How strong was this crazy Servamp? Shuhei knew that he should’ve been grateful to be saved by a powerful vampire but he was angrier than anything. He would rather be rescued by Mikuni than a vampire. He hated the species for tearing his family apart and causing pointless destruction. Even now World End seemed to be barely restraining himself as he destroyed the reference room.

Shuhei stood and watched the fight carefully for any opening for him to enter the fray. He lifted his hand to cast another spell but stopped when World End skidded to stop in front of him, blocking his view of Shamrock. “You don’t want to do that, Buddy. Your body’s already in pretty bad shape and using your spells will probably tear you apart. I said I’d take care of him for you and I keep my word so trust me.”

It seemed like every moment he spent with World End, he would shock or confuse him. Was he supposed to trust the word of a vampire? Shuhei didn’t know what he should do but, considering everything, there was nothing he could do. He was too weak to fight on his own. Secondly, only a Servamp’s bite could kill a subclass. Most importantly, he refused to fight alongside a vampire.

Even though those thoughts raced through his mind, Mikuni’s words overpowered them. Revenge can’t be done reasonably. And his desire for revenge consumed any reason he had left. Shuhei stepped forward and stood beside World End. “Don’t underestimate me. That man killed my father and I’m going to see him pay for that. So, I’ll fight with you but understand one thing: I’ll be the one that finish him off.”

Shuhei collapsed against the wall after the fight was over. He won. That fact was astonishing, even to himself. After he was rejected from the combat squad, he had always wanted to prove how strong he was. He might not have been able to kill Shamrock but his spell was powerful enough to trap him in the rye field until they could imprison him again.

“That was awesome! You look like this skinny kid but you’re really strong! That fight really wore me out so let’s rest a little before you take me to my siblings.” World End patted his shoulder excitedly and Shuhei groaned in pain. He didn’t seem to notice his pain as he sat next to him with a giant smile. “Oh yeah, I never caught your name last time.”

Shuhei was tempted to point out that he never promised World End to take him anywhere. Instead, he said, “My name’s Shuhei Tsuyuki.”

“I’m World End and—”

“I know everything about you already. I read your files.” Shuhei cut him off. He had to admit that there was a lot the files didn’t tell him though. He didn’t know that he would be so petty over a chocolate bar or protect a human he barely knew. “What I don’t understand is why you haven’t help your siblings fight until now. You don’t seem like a passive person.”

“I wanted to find my siblings sooner but… I got my hand stuck in a vending machine again. I swear those things are out to get me! I was able to free myself a little while ago and I was looking for everyone when I came across you. Oh yeah, I had to break the vending machine to get out but I’ll pay you back for it.”

For a moment, Shuhei was silent. Then, he laughed at the absurdity. He pictured World End trapped again and laughed more. Shuhei couldn’t remember the last time he laughed so much. World End wasn’t offended by his reaction and laughed along with him. They only stopped laughing when World End’s stomach growled. “Hey, you got any food? I’m hungry after that fight!”

“I’m guessing it doesn’t take much to make you hungry but nothing is a problem if you’re prepared.” Shuhei spotted his lab coat on the ground nearby and took out a chocolate bar from the pocket. “Here. Though you might be a little sick of chocolate after emptying that vending machine you broke.”

“You only gave me enough money for two chocolate bars. I can’t take more than I bought. Man, being broke is a pain.” World End groaned. Shuhei was a little shocked by how honest the Servamp was, considering that he was the embodiment of sin. If he did break the vending machine’s door, he could’ve taken as many chocolate bars as he wanted but he didn’t.

World End stood and held out his hand to Shuhei. “If you rested enough, lets go find my siblings. After that, I’ll take you to someone who can patch you up.”

“You’re not going to let me be, are you?” Shuhei found himself saying the words with a small smile. World End was the most unconventional vampire he could meet but Shuhei placed his hand in his. He pulled him to his feet and wrapped his arm around his shoulder. “Hey, I can walk on my own!”

“I’m trying to be kind here so don’t scream in my ear! You look like you can barely stand so borrow my shoulder until you can walk on your own. We can’t waste any more time resting when my siblings are in trouble.” World End stride forward and Shuhei could barely keep up with him. He wondered where he got his seemingly endless energy.

“Your siblings are Servamps so they’ll be okay. There’s no need to rush into a fight.” Shuhei pointed out and World End was quiet for the first time since they met.

“I promised my previous Eve that I would erase any regret I have with my family. Not fighting now will only give me more regrets.” Since their family fractured centuries ago, he didn’t stay in touch with them as much as he wanted. He was close to Lawless and visited him often but there were still things he regretted. His Eve probably knew that when she forced him to make that promise.

Sadness entered his eyes and Shuhei remembered reading that his Eve had died recently. He glanced at the silver fork hanging around his neck. They must’ve been close if he kept his item even after their contract ended. Being sentimental was another thing he didn’t think a Servamp would be. That list continued to grow the more he interacted with World End.

Even though Shuhei hated vampires, he let himself be dragged forward by World End. Fighting along side a vampire wouldn’t erase that hatred instantly. But World End was slowly changing his opinion.

I have a lot of headcanons about World End in different scenarios with him having an Eve and not having one. I wrote a couple of him with an Eve. At first, I have World End enter the Shuhei and Shamrock fight because that’s where he can be easiest slipped in but I fell in love with the idea of World End helping Shuhei get past his hatred for vampires.

For the honesty hour thing: So, how did you fall in love with Sakuya, and want attracts you to his character? Im interested in this!

It took me awhile to answer this because I needed to collect my thoughts about it. AHAHA TAKE A SEAT EVERYONE. Okay gosh where to begin….. THIS IS LIKE THE INTERVIEW I WAS WAITING FOR. HA.

Well, as some people know I wasn’t extremely fond of Sakuya when I first started Servamp about….7-8 months ago? I didn’t hate him or anything, just didn’t really care for him at first. (but that kinda goes for quite a bit of characters really, but everyone grows on me at some point. ^^)

I think what really got to me was after learning about his past and how it affected his motives, relationships and current situation in the series.

So many aspects about his characters just make so much sense but I feel like are just kinda looked over……. probably cause his backstory was kinda glazed over real quick, in my opinion at least. (Like why dammit? I have so many questions still, this series can’t do this to me.) It just really kills me inside, especially the more I thought about it and the more I think about his character.

I’m gonna kinda express some of my new random thoughts on his past , cause this intrigues me oddly: (Kinda theory time right now whoooo) AND ALL IS WHAT GIVE ME SO MANY FEELINGS MY GOSH.

Just thinking about the extent of the abuse he must’ve suffered is something that really boggles my mind…… We know it went on for years, those 6 years before his “death” and then probably a few more before that obviously, when his sister was still alive. Who’s knows how long she had to endure it though? She was much older, Sakuya was about 9 at the time, and she appeared to be High School (or maybe Middle School can’t really tell with the uniform.) 

She was also the one covered in bandages after all, and we couldn’t see any visible scars or injuries on Sakuya. So she obviously took all the beatings so he wouldn’t have too most likely but after when she died I’m sure things got worse for poor little Sakuya.

But this is my other biggest thing about the abuse he went through…

How come he never tried running away?

We all know his parents threatened to do the same thing to him as they did to his older sister, but could he really not just try and leave before anything happened? Maybe not until he got a bit older.. but still….

Was his parents that controlling? I doubt his parents even cared enough to hunt him down if he did run away…. So why didn’t he try? Did they really keep him that locked in? Its so hard for me to imagine him being and feeling that hopeless, did he have zero fight inside him?

It’s hard to imagine him not fighting back in the slightest. But he could have been a very different person back when he was human too, of course. Maybe more meek and submissive… again who knows. (To be honest, I am extremely curious about to what most of the vampires characters were like before they were vampires and who and what they did before as well.

But anyway, do you think Sakuya put up with it…

Because it was ALSO a loyalty thing??!? I’m making no jokes here. Hear me out, even if he hated his parents(I’m sure he did obviously, even though he never explicitly said he did, because we had Tsubaki tell his story, and not Sakuya.)

Do you think he never tried running away or whatever, because he just felt like he just couldn’t? Like he was betraying something? Maybe not his parents, just because “They are my parents…. whether I like it or not. I have to listen to them…”

But maybe because of his sisters death? Like he felt like he had to endure it like she did for him?? I mean…. he was told:

“You don’t want your sister’s death to be a waste, right?”

YOU GUYS GET WHAT I AM SAYING HERE RIGHT? History can repeat itself….

Maybe there wasn’t actually much physical abuse doing those years… Maybe at least for as long as he did what they said and stayed out of their way and kept their secret. But I kinda already talked about this part in a post about what I think happened to his parents after he became a vampire. (I am very sensitive about this topic alright?)

We know they killed his sister so they could get insurance money(ughh so sickening) but did they really try to kill Sakuya for more money? They would only be two people at that point…… so that’s why a part of me is like, “there’s gotta be a greater reason.” The best conclusion I came up with was “They killed him because maybe he tried to TELL someone.”

Think about it. Sakuya hates lies, he had to lie his whole life basically. He takes it very serious and to heart. WE KNOW THIS.

We know he only kept it a secret because he was threatened and didn’t want his sister’s death to be in vain…. But maybe he eventually cracked under all the pressure… And maybe tried speaking about it or was planning too and then… That was also the day he died…… Damn…. I just stabbed myself in the heart.

So yes, his past is a big factor on why I found him so interesting initially when I was new to this fandom/series, I was really hoping we would see his past elaborated a bit or learn more and see what he does and how on earth Mahiru was gonna “save him.”

I could go on and on about these two as well. Not in a shippy way…. but friendship or romantic, considering his past it makes sense to why he’s attached to Mahiru. Again in another post where I “defended his character” I guess you could say, I talked about how Sakuya’s “screwed up friendship methods” and how he really dug himself into a hole. -__- But I was saying its almost hard to blame him for going about the way he did. BECAUSE IT JUST MAKES SENSE SADLY.

Sakuya is a real lonely and distant kinda guy. After he sister died I’m sure he didn’t have much light in his life then. No one to talk too, no one who understood. No one who loved him. I’m sure growing up during those 6 years he was probably afraid to get close to anyone. What was school like for him then…. did he really have no friends at all for 6 years? It’s crazy to think about right? His childhood was anything but normal…. 

But then he received a “second chance” after Tsubaki found him and I’m sure Mahiru’s kind-hearted nature really drew him in, it’s not wrong for him to really want a friend, yeah he did go the complete wrong way about it, but unfortunately lies and deceit is all he knew how to do. He found some light in his life, and he was willing to do anything to hold on to that for as long as he could. Also HE KILLS ME because he regretted lying to Mahiru so much and did all the awful things he did/said, BECAUSE HE WAS HOPING MAHIRU WOULD HATE HIM and have his Servamp KILL HIM because he felt that was the only way to apologize for everything. and BOIII did that really kill me. AND THEN MAHIRU FORGAVE HIM STILL and now look at where he is with his conflicted loyalty….

YOU SEE WHERE I AM COMING FROM AVI!?!? AHHHH.

-inhales- ALSO ONE THING I NEED TO GET OFF MY CHEST BECAUSE THIS REALLY BOTHERS ME. Before ANYONE says “Mahiru is too forgiving about the whole fake memories thing and shouldn’t have forgiven Sakuya or be his friend.” Cause I HAVE heard someone say this and it makes me angry.

BECAUSE then you are ALSO SAYING:

Mahiru shouldn’t have forgiven and accepted Kuro for his past and all his sins and regrets, that he never shared with him. Also for attacking Mahiru that one time, lets not forget.

Mahiru shouldn’t be friends or ever trust Lawless because he’s killed so many eves and killed all of Tsubaki’s subclass and who knows what else he’s done?

Mahiru shouldn’t be finding a way to stop Tsubaki without killing him, because he’s not worth it.

Mahiru shouldn’t be trying to save Tsurugi either because he’s also done bad things.

AND SO ON.

SO SCREW EVERYONE WHO SAYS THAT. Cause you’re basically saying NO CHARACTER deserves happiness. -exhales- Sorry I just feel very strongly about that and I forgot to mention this in my defense post awhile ago. I feel better now~

So about Sakuya’s damn conflicted loyalty between Tsubaki and Mahiru. How are things gonna go from here?.WHICH ROUTE MY GUY? I WANT TO KNOW.

Tbh he’s kinda similar to Tsurugi in a sense (a certain someone kinda opened my eyes about that) that the whole “afraid to start something new because this is all that I’ve ever known and honestly I don’t know how to feel anymore?” kinda sense.

Although Tsurugi is debatablely the saddest character in servamp right now (backstory and current situation and all ARE WAYYY more painful.) 

What? Just cause Sakuya is my fave didn’t mean I’m completely biased about him. He sad. But not the SADDEST. I just thought I would mention this cause the parallels kinda fascinate me.

I WANT SAKUYA TO TAKE SOME ACTION. HE’S FREE NOW RIGHT??? What’s he gonna do now??? What’s he planning to do!?!? STILL WAITING HERE.

. Ughh its probably gonna be awhile until we get anything about Sakuya again. Which is fine. Cause its not his arc right now.

 WE GOT BIGGER PROBLEMS IN THE MANGA. MUCH MORE PRESSING THINGS INDEED.

But still I’m extremely curious… To what he might do in the future…. I mean Sakuya and even Lilac are still running around freely unlike the other melancholy members at the moment? So will he somehow be involved with that later??? Will he find Tsubaki??? WHERE ARE YOU MY BOY?

Ughh I’m having Sakuya withdraw lol… I hope he gets to do something exciting or important soon…. Tanaka strike is TEASING ME by putting him in so many recent official arts but then NOT IN THE ACTUAL STORY. WHYYYY. (well we do see Sakuya in a recent bonus chapter so….)

I HOPE THAT MEANS STRIKE PLANS TO INCLUDE HIM AGAIN SOON. I’ll take it as foreshadowing *sobs* Strike obviously hasn’t forgotten about him….so JUST waiting and watching now.

Sorry, that got so angsty above I wanted this post to be positive too.. So here are good/fun things I like about him:

Even though he character design absolutely baffles me(yes I mean the hair) I gotta say I really love it~ His hair is really something original that’s for sure. HA. His design also helped immediately catch my attention to him also I may have a bit of a “stripes bias” ahaha I own A LOT of stripe shirts myself lol always have and always will.

He owns a lot of pink accessories and wears pink a lot too! LET. BOYS. WEAR. PINK. YES. YOU. GO. MY. BOY.  He rocks it fight me.

He’s cool and I’m kinda curious on what his subclass ability is. If there is even one for him. Weapons seem to be his specialty. (F.E knives, chainsaw(which I am still trying to figure out how magically pulled out in AN ELEVATOR!?! And can make a sword outta blood apparently.

 But I don’t really trust the animes canon….) Also his little black strap things have a function??? THEY ARE ALIVE. WHAT

Look how happy Mahiru makes him. His smile is precious. He loves his friend so much I cry. I want them to be together and be friends again.

All the Tsubaki and Sakuya shenanigans make me laugh. One minute he’s crying to Mahiru “please don’t kill him” and the next you’re trying to put the guy into a fox trap. What even boi.

WANTS TO BE CALLED SAKKUN HOW CUTE IS THAT.

Has the best “yandere” expressions.

HE PRETTY STRONG and has great potential to be truly terrifying and useful. UNLEASH THAT POTENTIAL YOU GREEN EMO CHILD.

Another random thought I had was what would have things been like if Mahiru did choose to tell Sakuya about Kuro in the beginning like he originally planned? Might’ve still gone down the same way. But who knows?

But for now I’m just gonna sweat about the BIGGER MATTERS THAT ARE CURRENTLY HAPPENING IN THE MANGA RIGHT NOW. HA….

342 Kuromahi

Daily drabble time! I decided to go Subclass!Mahiru on this one, because I seriously like writing Kuro introspection. And Scratch the Surface kind of needs more world building anyway.

Title: Give A Little To Get A LotFandom: ServampCharacters: Kuro, MahiruSummary: Sure, Mahiru is alive and should be grateful for that. But the human seems to be freaking out. For some strange, unfathomable reason. Mahiru as a Kuro Subclass. KuroMahi.Notes: Written for the theme ‘crave’. Completely open to interpretation, right? Right.

Sometimes Kuro can recall the taste of Mahiru’s blood on his tongue and he hungers for more. An untested will like that, what would it have been like if Mahiru had been able to call out his name instead of listening to that ‘friend’ of his? The annoying one with the green hair, that dared to takes Mahiru’s blood in the first place. He likes to think, in the end, he tasted the more savory part of Mahiru. Because he had no need to put Mahiru into a temporary sleep to obtain anything from him. Instead, he was Mahiru’s savior; but that was a pain in its own way.

He lounges on Mahiru’s floor in the form of a little black cat, on his back and little paws curled up. Any second now Mahiru is going to notice and stop pacing, surely, but the pit-pat, pit-pat of the young man marching back and forth does not cease. Really, such a pain, he thinks and rolls back to his feet to get up, giving a shake of his head as he settles back into human form.

“Mahiru,” he calls, reaching out to place one his hands on Mahiru’s shoulder. His new Subclass flinches at his touch and Kuro retracts his hands, wary now. “What’s wrong with you?”

“What wrong?” repeats Mahiru, stressing the 'wrong’ part. “Oh, I don’t know. Maybe the fact that I could have died. Not to mention that my cat isn’t a cat at all, but some … some …” Kuro holds his breath, eyes wide, as he waits for the word 'monster’ to fall from lips that once spoke only kindness to him. “Some kind of good-looking guy, and that’s really pissing me off!”

Kuro stares for a long moment until that comment sank in and color floods his face. “Ehhh, that’s not …”

“Look, man, I get you were helping me and everything, but isn’t there a way to, you know,” Mahiru makes an exaggerated motion towards his neck and pretends to make fangs with his fingers until he realizes he actually has a pair and drops his hands, startled. “Can’t we fix this?”

“Sure,” Kuro shrugs, quickly paling at the thought, “if you don’t mind dying for real.”

Mahiru freezes and gapes, slapping his hands to his neck like it will somehow protect him from harm. That is a vampire stereotype, of course. Always going for the neck? Kuro prefers an offered wrist held out in willing subjugation. Though he honestly can’t be bothered with that either, not unless his hunger overrides reason and he doesn’t think he’ll get to that point. He eyes Mahiru, thinks about how much he liked the taste of his blood, copper-tainted and desperate. And he knows if he really had been able to make this person his Eve, there would be a lot less control over his own emotions. Especially linked so directly as a contract required.

In a way, he thinks it’s for the best. This way, as long as Kuro keeps living, Mahiru will too. He doesn’t have to worry about him dying any time soon. He doesn’t have to say goodbye to someone who wormed their way into his heart.

“I feel like take-out,” he suddenly says, hands in his pocket as he slouches forward to use Mahiru as a leaning post. “If you don’t want me to eat you, let’s go grab something else.”

Exasperated, Mahiru asks, “And you expect me to … what, just go along with this?”

Kuro holds up his hands like a cat begging for a treat. “Aww, come on. You gotta treat your pets better, meow~”

“You’re not a cat!” rebukes Mahiru, pushing him off. Kuro loses his balance for a second and catches hold of Mahiru to keep upright, one hand on his hip and the other placed at the center of his back. “H-Hey, where are you touching?”

Instead of dropping his hands and giving his new Subclass the space that he probably wanted, Kuro nuzzles into the side of his neck. A cat that wants its master’s attention, right now, as he whines, “I’m hungry, Mahiru.”

“Fine, fine!” the young man tells him, cheeks flushing as he scuttles back out of Kuro’s grasp. “J-Just don’t do that again!”

Blinking, Kuro shrugs once more. “You were expecting more?”

“No!” denies Mahiru, turning redder. “You better not eat a lot,” he mutters under his breath, counting out how much is left in his wallet before pausing all of a sudden. “Wait, vampires can eat normal food too?”

Kuro nods and then raises his hand to his mouth, yawning. “So are we going or what? 'Cause if not, I’m gonna take a nap.”

“We’re going, we’re going,” Mahiru grumbles, but there is a tiny smile on his face now. Kuro wonders what it’s for until Mahiru explains, “I think I won’t mind this as much as I thought I would. It’s simple,” he seems to tell himself, “if you can’t beat them, you join them. Hey, Kuro, how about hamburgers?”

“Fantastic. With that settled …” Kuro switches back to his cat form and plops on top of Mahiru’s head. “Free ride. It’s the least you can do.”

Oddly, Mahiru doesn’t argue. He simply reaches up and scratches behind fluffy black ears. From here, Kuro can barely make the smile broadening into a grin, but he hears it in Mahiru’s voice, like sunshine through a cloud, “You’re such a pain.”

Hey, that’s my line, Kuro thinks sleepily, curling up and resting his eyes. But I guess we’re both stuck with each other. He peeks one eye open, catching a glimpse of the apartment they’re leaving behind, and it reminds him that he even has a home now. Mahiru said it himself: See that? It means you have a home now. No more running off. With each step that leads them closer to food, Kuro hears the sound of a bell jingling in his ear. A reminder of where he belongs.

Well then, I guess my nickname can be Anime Anon BECAUSE SAME. Like it'/ hard keeping track of languages when you watch anime but listen to kpop at the same time =_= So wait, what's your current favourite anime? I just finished "Servamp" and i am SHOOK

i’ve nevER HEARD OF SERVAMP BUT I WILL SEARCH IT UP

and well actually, hm. i like manga a lot more because there usually tends to be a lot more plot development, etc. in it but uhh okay, I’ll just list some of my favorite manga that i know have become animes (though i may not have necessarily watched them all, lmfao asdfd):

deadman wonderland all the fucking way. holy shit. fave af. didn’t watch the anime, though, and don’t plan to since I can’t fare well with all that gore. b&w is a lot easier to deal with (though i can’t say i sit well with all of the graphic depictions of severed limbs, etc., but it’s a lot better when they’re not done in color). i love love love the characters, though not so much the lead (ganta); the side characters–i feel–are far more fascinating. i have no idea how far the anime goes but i really fucking loved the chapters that covered hummingbird/peacock/that old man (fuck i forgot his name)’s backstories ugasdhf and then i really (strangely) enjoyed the backstory of mockingbird and the final chapter was just a blessing. serious trigger warnings, though, if the title didn’t give much away already rip

orange is also really good and i only just recently found it that it became an anime. as in like, a few days ago. but i remember reading the manga and just asijfdkasdfids anticipating the updates and then the final chapter got me in dem feels :’) i love it. so much. it’s so refreshingly different from typical shoujo, too, and i love how they threw in the whole time travel thing in there which was like lowkey angsty the entire time but also it was like !! there is salvation!! (no that was not a spoiler but it is a source of stress and many tears). also, for anyone thinking of watching/reading this, gonna throw out (another) trigger warning out there.

soul eater is like lowkey my childhood bUT only lowkey though because i didn’t really start getting into it until like middle school LOL but then i got obsessed and watched the anime like 1239 times and then i was like oh hey manga is a thing! and i kinda read it, though it was confusing for me because the anime/manga splinter a bit so there isn’t exactly a clear, 100% cutoff from where the anime ends and the manga continues (i would explain more but then there would be spoilers). in any case, maka is literally queen as fuck and soul is such a slimy dork lmfAOOOASDF i love their dynamic for some reason so much??? but anyways the action anD THE WORLD HOL YSHIT I LOVE THE WORLD OF SOUL EATER like the dwma sounds like such a fucking cool place to study at, and the idea of some students being able to turn into weapons like ?!!?! sign me up

one piece, holy shit one piece leeemmmmeee tell you, yes, i may be basic af listing this one but ALSO ITS SO ASDIFJ I LOVE ODA’S LIKE WORLD BUILDING THING and also he’s a really funny guy. this was my obsession for a while but then i got too bored waiting for the next episode to come out (broh–listen. thursdays used to be my day because that’s when the next subbed episode would get released and i just asdfjiasdf). in any case, i just love it a lot and i’m still highkey married to zoro listen and perona’s devil fruit is literally like a++ idk why i like it so much but i just do and it’s so funny and wowoowow yes it’s long as fuck but it’s so fucking worth it and random fact: i actually started watching right in the middle of the thriller bark arc, and then after i got completely caught up i started jumping around earlier episodes until i’d watched (basically) all of them. granted, it was kinda confusing at first, but i’d do it again LOL

naruto because, like, dude, this shit’s a classic. i watched a lot of naruto when i was a kid, and then later on when i was super into anime i watched a lot of naruto shippuden (come to think of it, i don’t remember much of the original naruto. it was so long ago). i really liked the pain arc, it was so painfully feelsy and ughghasdfds and kakashi sensei and also i have not really caught up but i should because my fav character is gaara and i need to watch all the gaara episodes um but also highkey i have read the final two chapters and the first two chapters of boruto wow i love to spoil the stories for myself a lot a++ @ me lmfao (what am i saying help??)

gekkan shoujo to nozaki-kun becauSE LMFAO i relate to sakura bit too hard, and overall this shit is like, legit the funniest ever. there isn’t a lot of romance (or at least, not as much as one would expect from a shoujo) but the comedy factor makes up for it 1000000%. i love it. i don’t know what else to say but basically it’s kind of like a series of interrelated crackshots that revolve around a certain group of characters and it kind of fleshes out their relationships in the most hysterical way i lov it. i haven’t watched the anime yet, though, but i would love to sometime soon asjidf

durarara!! is love because in addition to being married to zoro, i am also in a committed (??!?!?) relationship with izaya because holy shit he’s such a little sly shit and i love him. i’ve watched about half the anime and read a bit of drrrr! and i love celty, simon is bae, and and and yeah i also don’t have much else to say about it. if you don’t know much about it, it’s basically about this (strange as fuck) city and these seemingly unrelated groups of people in it (ie the black Russian sushi dude who hands out flyers on the streets, high school students, an information broker, a headless motorcyclist) and how certain incidents connect them

mekakucity actors though it’s probably a bit hard to understand for people who didn’t know the vocaloid series it stemmed off from. but in any case, it’s kind of similar to durarara in which it’s basically how a group of seemingly unrelated people are connected to each other, but it’s more central in that rather than certain events, it’s just one, major danger and the fact that they all have a certain power to them. trigger warning on this one, though. it’s sad, agh, though the anime has a happier ending than the official ending for the vocaloid series (and probably the manga–i haven’t read it, so i don’t know). if you ever need someone to explain things to you, i got ya.

black rock shooter (the anime) is pretty good and it’s kind of different in that it does have a manga (several versions, in fact) but the anime has its very own storyline (and interpretation of the characters and their various relationships). there are even several oc’s introduced that are major players in the plot, and i found that really interesting (though i preferred one of the manga versions more, which is listed below). there’s actually no like… realistic depiction of blood (it’s like… blue) and i appreciate that, though some parts can come off as a bit… deranged. either way, i really enjoy these types of storylines haisf and brs is badass, i’ll tell you that.
