🔥 - on ROTB, if you have one? Or anything else you prefer, if not

Uh, ROTB hasn't been out for that long and I haven't kept up with much of what people are saying about it

But like, I do not think ROTB gets any points for being partly set in Peru when there wasn't a single Peruvian involved in the production of this film. Yeah, it's true that the actual movie does a better job of not exoticizing non-European cultures and it's nice that they bothered to clarify the Maximals aren't responsible for the achievements of ancient people, but that really shows how low the bar is for this kinda thing.

Peru is still set dressing, there are no locals to join the cast. It's nice to see Primal speak Quechua and being respectful of the original people, but none of them are actual characters in the movie. They're just there. True, the movie was so packed it didn't have time to give many characters focus, Rhinox doesn't even speak (or if he does, I missed it). So yeah, it's not the worst but I'm also not giving it any praise.

But then again this is just my opinion, I am not Peruvian, so don't take my word as definitive.
