A glamour is a magic spell that changes/cover your appearance. Like in the show macaque should technically have 6 ears. for animation purposi I guess they are not drawing all of them, but we say he uses a glamour also for covering his scarred eye.

mmmmmm---- I think Wukong. Freenoodle is pretty chill with the DBK family after everything that happened. Mac is also quite alright since he was always in good relationship with them. I would say Wukong would just want to be sure his kid doesn't get hurt by the fire in any way

So the thing is that MK is hearing the past from both POVs. Macaque by definition can hear ANYTHING so yeah he could definitely experience MKs memories. But the thing is-does he want to? I headcanon that his future-present-past hearing abilities are something he only used a couple of times, and because what he heard from them was so traumatic, he decided to NOT use them again (like wukong laser eyes)

So- *sigh* technically, we don't really know MK immortality status. it's a grey area for now. Because on one side, he's a stone monkey, who, by nature like Wukong, can perfectly age and grow like a normal monkey. On the other hand, he's technically died already, and by the time he was created by Nuwa, both his biological fathers were already immortal (Wukong bc yes, Macaque because he's a demon, and he can die from wounds and illness, but can't age)

So to answer: we don't know yet what's with him. we will see (I promise that)

MK can't make the same clones macaque has. He can control a little bit his own shadow, and use that as a clone. so as long as it's his own shadow, it's more Mac area, if it's his own hair clone then it's Wukong's

Yes they know about them. No they aren't his kids let's say. My own personal headcanon for the Au (or the show in general) is that they are both Macaque shadow, like- clones with a little bit of personality just like MK clones represent specific parts of his personality. He has 2 of them because he lived 2 lives, one before and one after he was brought back to life.

Maybe bc Wukong should technically have canonically too much knowledge about general illness to be worried about normal daily life illness. If it was something more life-threating. The need for them to remain close by and wait until Mk is asleep before trying to leave. This means Mac has been through exactly what he is telling them not to do and knows the pain, sorrow and trauma that comes from feeling abandoned like this. They may be facing their past hurting their own kid through proxy and try to help him fight against the trauma. it crosses his mind that you two have literally never kissed which is wild, now he’s amused by this revelation and is like “what?” (whot) while scheming and plotting in his head

you have your own reaction (or lack of) and hobie’s mildly entertained depending on it

just mad flustered ? he will weaponise this

if you seem genuinely uncomfortable by it then hobie’s gonna apologise and just wait for you to bring it up again before tryna kiss you again, he’s unbothered

What are your favourite TSAMS AUs?

I love @emhm It really takes advantage of the Multiverse in a way I haven't seen done in many tsams fics before. Mainly because it's not restricted by the limitations of VRchat. So they cane get really wild with dimensional travel.

Like... Cringe Moon is an Alicorn and Cringe Solar is a transformer car and they are dating? .....Sure! why not!

Solar's Moon dies and his body is repurposed as a factory default Moon and is given as a gift to the Lonely Sun who was built without a Moon?

Ruin in EMHM is an entirely different character then Tsams Ruin and he's just......... Insane? He just wants to put on a show and torture and harm everyone in the process for complete control... maybe due to the lack of control he felt in his home dimension when his control was taken from him? ......Sure, why not!

Servant Sun and Lord Eclipse in EMHM are an iconic duo. Realizing their feelings really recently and are in a committed relationship. But overall live in a utopia with little problems. The Lord struggling with his own mental health and slowly starting to realize the pull and help he can be for Suns and Eclipses that suffer in the multiverse. Also discovering that in Lord Eclipse's Dimension, the Original Sun and Moon were FAR more hostile to him then even the Prime Dimension... which is why Lord is the way he is.

It takes advantage of Dimensions not being One for one copies of eachother that I just really appreciate.

Just be sure of the ratings. Because there is one chapter that is very non-consensual oral, but every other nsfw parts are consensual. And the tag "poorly justified robot sex" is there for a reason lol.

I just like all the different takes on different Suns and Eclipses through the multiverse.

It has a very large ensemble cast and it never feels too big to me. It puts the focus on exactly what they want to, and when the plot points converge it's very satisfying.

I also really love @kuuchaos Backstage Au. It is definitely a "four main characters" fic, but it keeps it very condensed and focused on the inner thoughts of the characters.

Because it REALLY picks apart Nexus's trauma and the hypocrisy of the family in a way that is lacking for me in canon tsams. (Just due to the nature of VR and having things explained to you rather then them actually happening. NMoon was imprisoned, treated like a criminal, shocked and violated before he actually did anything wrong and I will never that that go. I still like tsams as it is, but this will be something I will scream and yell at clouds for years to come to anyone who listens lol)

Also I am damn weak for SolarMoon you know me.

While "SolarNexus" is nice. I often miss the softness that came with New Moon.

Nexus has his trauma and his family definitely left their scars. As well as the NSP that got extracted from him. Nexus is a changed person, but he still has that venerable soft side that I loved about NMoon as a character so much. If anything, Nexus is far softer because of his trauma and experiences and the personality disorders that developed due to how everything happened.

I absolutely love their softer take on Nexus.

I also like their take on Sunset. (darksun. I swear I prefer the name Sunset and I wish it was the default, because that's what a Dark Sun IS... the Sun setting. It's perfect)

Sunset is written as a canonical sociopath, but you can tell he has a weird fondness for Nexus. As his plans around him keep changing. He used him and manipulated him, obviously. But he keeps Nexus around just as a curiosity. Nexus is like a Moon he let in his home. He almost sees having Nexus around the same novelty as being an Exotic Pet owner and it's fascinating to me and I can't wait to see how Sunset develops throughout this thing.

I also read other fics. But I'm way behind but those are like the main two I am the most confident about.

AAaaaahhhh sorry it has taken me so long to get to these asks! 😭 I've been too eepy to properly articulate any replies ;u;

The short of it, it was so good!!! O0O I liked the story a lot more than I expected. Like gosh, the writing, the presentation, the animation, the voice acting (Joker's performance at the tent gave me chills)! Everything was so impeccable and much more than I thought it would be :0 Certainly a breath of fresh air and an upgrade from the diary stories of game 4 and 9 (I wouldn't mind at all if the devs revisited those with the same caliber as Closing Night 👀 at least it seems all the stories from now on will be presented this way)! While character and essence trailers tend to be very poetic and ambiguous, Closing Night was pretty straight forward in the plot, which was really nice.

The characters themselves and their dynamics were probably the most striking to me. It's one thing to read the lore through letters and deductions, but seeing the characters actually perform in real time gives more insight and adds layers of depth and complexity that are hard to perceive through other formats. Even the little things; the way they speak, their demeanor, their body language, how they act towards each other in different situations... Like how Mike tends to use grandiose gestures while he speaks, or how Violetta talks with such softness and meekness in her voice (she is definitely the kind of person to apologise if someone else were to step on her toes... okay, bad analogy, but you get what I mean gfhjgdg). It's these details I'm so grateful to have witnessed in these characters. (Emphasizing that these characters come from a media where most of the lore is tucked away in written documents that a lot, or even most players, don't bother to seek out. It's nice that the later story installments to IDV have enabled more of them to learn more about the lore, cause it's all so very interesting and a shame to miss out on) It was an absolute treat to see them all interact with each other and the environment!

I love how the point of contention was building up through it all, and how it all came to a head at the end. I loved Mike's development as he realised what was truly going on at Hullabaloo. His perception of his perfect childhood paradise practically imploded on him in such a scale that he could no longer handle it ;-; All of them were victims to the circus and each of them had their own sets of trauma from the abuse. You could understand why they all acted the way they did, even if some of their actions weren't always the best. Man, the writing is so good!

Overall a very good story and presentation that I really enjoyed! Lots of angst, which I love 👀 I feel like I've gotten a better understanding of these characters now too; just hoping I'll also manage to portray them somewhat similarly fgdshjfsd XD Anyway, I'm looking forward to game 0 now! (but plz I want more Ashes of Memory first 😭)

hkdfjhgksfjgh okok i don't know where to start hmmmmmmmmm

okok so I'll start with my Twilight cause I've been working on his part of Recalled for the last long time XD CURRENTLY I've been working on his wolf form and how he communicates with other animals, cause like; animals don't communicate like people do, so working out how to illustrate an almost alien form of communication has been really fun! I've been using a lot of imagery to convey meaning/expression/intent, and trying to let the pictures and colors speak just as much, if not more than the actual words I'm writing. it's fun!

another blorbo I've been brainrotting over lately is Captain, just thinking a lot about his emotional/mental state, and how he interacts with people/situations. he keeps surprising me, not gonna lie XD, boi is good at being predictably unpredictable. he's a very quick thinker, and good at rapidly exploring all his options, and the more tense the situation, the faster he can think/act. he's a very clever boi, and he tries very hard to make sure people don't pick up on it XD.

lastly, I've been thinking a lot about Time. the way that I characterize him is pretty different from most other Time's I've seen, and I think that's fun XD. he's pretty stable over all, and was able to resolve most of the trauma he went through when he was younger, so he doesn't have much that bothers him these days. he's pretty chill, a little awkward, and fairly forgetful (lots of memory loss from using the Fierce Deity mask so much during the War of Eras). he's very much a social chameleon, generally mimicking the people around him, just cause he's still trying to figure out how to human correctly XD. one interesting thing about him though, is his desire for independence. he doesn't like being told what to do, how to live his life, etc. he doesn't like asking permission to do things. if he cares about you, he'll take what you say into consideration, but in the end, he's always going to do what he thinks is right, and he has a hard time seeing how that might affect others. he knows he's a hero, he knows he was destined to keep people safe and preserve the peace, so he's going to do what it takes to keep the people he loves safe, and he's going to do it his way. (this definitely doesn't cause problems later XD)

Of course everyone has something they are gonna break under, but all in all...

Most resilient:

Seline: can shut off emotions and be completely logical and cold when in a specific setting or role or between people she doesn't respect—and getting her respect is hard. People's opinions roll off of her like nothing. Going against the crowd is almost a point of pride for her. If only she is doing it, she is probably doing something right. If you wanna talk societal pressures or going against the flow, you got your girl.

Rip: can shurg off almost anything. He had gone through some horrid stuff so there is almost nothing that can rattle him in comparison if it doesn't relate to his past home trauma (a little annoying it's other humans lol). But this guy rides on top of trains, climbs roofs, hitchhikes along the country, eats only rests of food or roadkill and sleeps in the rain. He doesn't value things others can take from him.

Arnie: has the rebel streak of the youngest brother. He is here to create reactions and do his own thing. It probably is his egocentrism that makes him so very immune or even outright happy about disapproval. In many ways he is more mature than he should be, and in others he is still very childish and petty. He likes to know how to hurt people around him and he doesn't shy from doing it preventively.

Kieran: he is adventurous and danger-loving, with a heavy rebel streak and likes to provoke. Things that are supposed to hit him roll off smoothly, like he's back is oiled. He is way too self-indulgent and proudly self-centered to worry about what other people think of him. Main thing is that they are noticing him, that's very nice.

Most sensitive:

Isaiah: this boy just feels too deeply for everyone and everything. He gets sick to his stomach from nerves, okay? He is kinder and gentler than he was allowed to live out, but it shows in how much he feels like everything is his problem to fix. Isaiah is also, ironically, the one best at hiding and controlling himself. He had learned that from a young age or he wouldn't be able to function otherwise.

Hector: he is one of the best at not looking like it, cause any emotional ripple turns into anger. Automatically. It's why he constantly looks so irritated XD. He doesn't process, he doesn't cope and he doesn't deal. But he is super sensitive about how he is perceived, if he is doing the proper profitable thing for his pack, how others view him, if he is winning and if he is the strongest in the room. He usually is, cause upset Hector is scary Hector.

Dylan: he is very into his cool teenager persona and he can't articulate his own feelings all that well. But he is very aware of how everyone perceives him, very sensitive about his friends and family. His worth is the outside world reflected in the eyes of others. I didn't find a good opportunity to show it yet, but there is a reason why he dropped out of high school, why he was so eager to live with Rip instead of going home and why he takes great care to have many friends.

Kinda in the middle:

Matthew: he is empathetic and understanding, more than his tough-guy act might suggest. But he is a marshmallow inside. He won't roll over at just any jab, he has a chill, laid-back core, but he is somewhat insecure. Getting a lot better since he got his place where he belongs. It's probably because he isn't good at hiding when he gets upset that it's more visible.

Alessia: I feel like she is pretty balanced. She knows what she wants and who she is, and nobody is taking that away, but she also doesn't dare to do everything she wishes for. In private she is brave, outside she succumbs to pressures, expectations and strict glares. But, being a little gray mouse is a survival strategy, cause when nobody notices or disapproves, it's easier to slip past them. Like, Seline would go against the wall for her principles; Alessia would wait until nightfall and climb over.

Olive: I would say she is here as well. She is shy and easily flustered, but she has her art and dreamy colourful worlds and can handle anything. She will cope and do her own thing.

Hello, I am here mainly to try to figure myself out and learn to accept parts of myself I am not comfortable with by facing them directly. I do my best to be open-minded, so feel free to interact and ask questions. I am home most days due to being disabled.

Alters and their roles:

Alex: He is one of the biggest creatives in our system. He was in charge of all our musical ability and art capacity. Doesn't really do much else. :)

Alice: She's our bookkeeper, she keeps things organized in the interior, and helps organize outside our inner world. She doesn't interact outside our system or family much.

Andy: He's an introject of Andy Graves from The Coffin of Andy and Leyley, and all that entails.

Aurora: They're a complicated one to explain, but im told shes a persecutor. She's kind of a bitch. She showed up at the same time as Andy.

Bennett: He is a fictive of one of our favorite Genshin characters. We always related with him. He goes through a lot and is often in front in our low points.

Brock: He's one of two actual dedicated protectors in our system. He's a caring alter that looks after our littles.

Cora: She is one of our littles. Primarily plays games and hangs out with our kids. They can be an anxious mess fairly often.

Corabell: She's probably the closest to actually having access to all the trauma memories out of the older alters, without being a trauma bearer. She's just trying to keep afloat most days.

Cue: He literally just plays pool. He's chill, not really much else to say.

Cyntax: This is an introject of one of our kids. They are chaotic and a menace to our system in a prankster/teasing kind of way.

Fargo: This is our oldest alter that I truly connected with as a kid. We had others, but we didn't recognize them as alters as we didn't even know what systems were back then. They fill a guide type role. Helping to lead us down the paths in life we want/ need to take in life.

Firefly: Firefly is a fictive from hsr that took on the protector role in our system. They're really cheery and love to dance. They try to keep our mood up.

Gamzee: He is a Homestuck fictive that has been around since we were in high school. He is generally around when we are high, be it any kind of drug at all.

Izalen: He is our other protector. He is also a major trauma bearer, and took on the appearance of a shadow figure to keep themselves safe when they didn't have much else. He's a bit of an ass but he means well.

Ivan: Our lone male little, he is similar to how we were when we were 10 years old. He just wants to play and hang out.

Kaeya: Kaeya is one of our pre-teens. He mostly just tends to play games and hangs out with our kids. Not really much else to say, he's not a social being.

Scar: He is an introject of GoodtimeswithScar from third life. I blame our kid for that one. XD

Sparkle/ Sparks: She is a fictive of Sparkle from Honkai Star Rail. She is chaotic as fuck and a little obsessive, loves to attention seek and stir up trouble.

Spinel: She's a fictive from Steven Universe. She's a little concerning to me. She's pretty chaotic and crazy. She gets along with Sparkle very well.

Squirt: She is another little, and trauma bearer. She's been through about everything that we have as a system. She has access to the most complete set of memories. She's more often than not stuck in an anxious loop or getting hit with really heavy depression.

Ventus: He is a fictive of Ven from Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. He's generally nursing a headache and doesn't interact much.

Judging by the manga...I'd say medicine! Moons a pharmacist in the manga so I'd say her obsession is plants/poison types, anything that can improve medicine or be studied.

As for in game Moon obviously people can kinda make her how they want too since she's a protag, but I think pokemon battles are a safe bet!

Also cannon that she's a masked royal fan! So I guess she could be addicted to battle royals too!

So, this is being written TEN MINUTES after I paused the episode in that frame.

What happened in between that ten minutes was that I PAUSED the episode, got out of my seat paced around my room in rage, SCREAMED THE F WORD, I'm lucky my family isn't home at the moment so they can't hear me, and I left the room and paced around in my kitchen to calm down because I felt SICK, HURT, TRIGGERED, and ATTACKED.

Not the writer's fault. They don't know. But... OMG

Maybe in a separate post, when I cooled my head, I'll talk about WHY this scene hurt me so much.

But my reason is not actually based off the characters. Roles swapped, I think I'd still react this way.

Bottom line is, remember when I said earlier that Miriam was calling Ellie out to help her?

THIS ISN'T THAT. THIS IS NOT 'ELLIE CALLING JAKE OUT ON HIS BULLSHIT', THIS IS NOT 'ELLIE GIRLBOSS MOMENT'. THIS IS SHAMING.

This is SHAMING someone with serious mental problems that need help.

This is not 'Oh, Ellie's ROASTING Jake right now, what a powerful moment for her! Hell ya, he deserved it!'

THIS TRIGGERED ME.

I actually KNEW this scene existed before I watched the show. But I had no context, didn't know what episode it was, didn't know when it showed up, and I didn't remember the exact dialogue. But it was in a clip of a reaction that was cheering for Ellie doing this.

I won't give names, I won't throw hands, that's not their fault if they see it that way. This is just VERY PERSONAL FOR ME.

I won't give massive details, because it's so personal, but why it triggered me? I HAVE BEEN THERE IN MY LIFE.

I HAVE BEEN THERE YEARS AGO, MULTIPLE TIMES, WITH MULTIPLE PEOPLE DOING THIS SHIT TO ME. Acting JUST LIKE how Ellie does here, towards me.

It caused me a lot of problems growing up. My family AGREED with the people doing that, so that was not fun. They said 'I needed to hear this. I deserved it.'

So I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. This shit does no favors to the person you're 'roasting'. If anything, this makes the behavior you're calling out WORSE. They act even MORE like this whiny bratty type as a way to cope with the thought that everyone hates them!

ELLIE. YOU CAN'T DO THIS.

In that sense, I think Jake left the show with the worst outcome 😢

Part of that IS his fault, I admit. If he had just cooled off for two seconds and listened to Ellie, he would’ve survived and gotten a friend back. But no.

So as much as I hate the scene, I admit I DO LIKE the idea of Jake getting called out for his bullshit. In any other circumstance, HE WOULD DESERVE IT.

BUT HOLY SHIT ELLIE, IF THAT WAS YOUR INTENT THAT WAS NOT THE WAY TO DO IT.

I can totally imagine that Jake comes back in a future season and he’s this bitter, hostile, whiny, “Don’t trust anyone. Everybody is out to get me. Everybody is an enemy who wants to hurt me.” And being even MORE unpleasant for his peers than he is in this season. (Except with Miriam) And a deeper layer being him acting that way because of self loathing. “Ellie was right. I am a dick. I don’t deserve to be loved at all. I’m going to be alone in the end.”

I would hate it, that would probably be obnoxious depending on execution, but I think that would be a consistent writing transition. (Again, kinda like Teruko)

So… I didn’t think I was gonna like Jake as much as I did. I mentioned before but I saw some out of context clips, some of them being only about hatred towards Jake and that calling out scene. So I thought, cause I didn’t know context, “Oh, he’s probably this massive dickhole of a person.”

And then I watch it for myself and look where we are. I love this trainwreck.

Not in the sense of “Cinnamon roll baby girl did nothing wrong and his trauma excuses him of all his actions” Cause uh… hell no.

It was just very refreshing for me to have a character whose experiences and issues actually make them hard to deal with and messy and ‘annoying’. Especially for someone like me who didn’t have exact experiences but also acted like that years ago until I got help.

Okay I have two different takes, objective and subjective.

Subjectively I think I hate her now. Just cause of that scene being WRONG on so many levels.

But objectively I see her POV in the sense of “She’s too far gone”. And Jake was giving her shit. And she didn’t want to listen to Miriam. I said this last time. This is a cool concept for a character and I’m down for it.

But yeah, she’s too far gone.

Right now, if I was being subjective she’d be an F tier just for that scene alone.

But she is one of the more interesting and intriguing characters left, and I do think she has a chance to win still.

In Total Drama, they usually DON’T let villain/morally grey characters win just because that’s an ‘unpleasant ending’. Unless it’s Heather, but even then that’s… debatable cause of the season.

But you know, this is an indie show. They can do whatever they want. So who knows.

Miriam’s gotta get revenge on her though. She’s our only hope.

Jake passed on the slay pass to Grandma Miriam, and trust me. SHES COMING FOR YOU ALL.
