So the thing is that MK is hearing the past from both POVs. Macaque by definition can hear ANYTHING so yeah he could definitely experience MKs memories. But the thing is-does he want to? I headcanon that his future-present-past hearing abilities are something he only used a couple of times, and because what he heard from them was so traumatic, he decided to NOT use them again (like wukong laser eyes)

Because on one side, he's a stone monkey, who, by nature like Wukong, can perfectly age and grow like a normal monkey. On the other hand, he's technically died already, and by the time he was created by Nuwa, both his biological fathers were already immortal (Wukong bc yes, Macaque because he's a demon, and he can die from wounds and illness, but can't age)

So to answer: we don't know yet what's with him. we will see (I promise that)

MK can't make the same clones macaque has. He can control a little bit his own shadow, and use that as a clone. so as long as it's his own shadow, it's more Mac area, if it's his own hair clone then it's Wukong's

Yes they know about them. No they aren't his kids let's say. My own personal headcanon for the Au (or the show in general) is that they are both Macaque shadow, like- clones with a little bit of personality just like MK clones represent specific parts of his personality. He has 2 of them because he lived 2 lives, one before and one after he was brought back to life.

What are your favourite TSAMS AUs?

I love @emhm It really takes advantage of the Multiverse in a way I haven't seen done in many tsams fics before. Mainly because it's not restricted by the limitations of VRchat. So they cane get really wild with dimensional travel.

Like... Cringe Moon is an Alicorn and Cringe Solar is a transformer car and they are dating? .....Sure! why not!

Solar's Moon dies and his body is repurposed as a factory default Moon and is given as a gift to the Lonely Sun who was built without a Moon?

Ruin in EMHM is an entirely different character then Tsams Ruin and he's just......... Insane? He just wants to put on a show and torture and harm everyone in the process for complete control... maybe due to the lack of control he felt in his home dimension when his control was taken from him? ......Sure, why not!

Servant Sun and Lord Eclipse in EMHM are an iconic duo. Realizing their feelings really recently and are in a committed relationship. But overall live in a utopia with little problems. The Lord struggling with his own mental health and slowly starting to realize the pull and help he can be for Suns and Eclipses that suffer in the multiverse. Also discovering that in Lord Eclipse's Dimension, the Original Sun and Moon were FAR more hostile to him then even the Prime Dimension... which is why Lord is the way he is.

It takes advantage of Dimensions not being One for one copies of eachother that I just really appreciate.

Just be sure of the ratings. Because there is one chapter that is very non-consensual oral, but every other nsfw parts are consensual. And the tag "poorly justified robot sex" is there for a reason lol.

I just like all the different takes on different Suns and Eclipses through the multiverse.

It has a very large ensemble cast and it never feels too big to me. It puts the focus on exactly what they want to, and when the plot points converge it's very satisfying.

I also really love @kuuchaos Backstage Au. It is definitely a "four main characters" fic, but it keeps it very condensed and focused on the inner thoughts of the characters.

Because it REALLY picks apart Nexus's trauma and the hypocrisy of the family in a way that is lacking for me in canon tsams. (Just due to the nature of VR and having things explained to you rather then them actually happening. NMoon was imprisoned, treated like a criminal, shocked and violated before he actually did anything wrong and I will never that that go. I still like tsams as it is, but this will be something I will scream and yell at clouds for years to come to anyone who listens lol)

Also I am damn weak for SolarMoon you know me.

While "SolarNexus" is nice. I often miss the softness that came with New Moon.

Nexus has his trauma and his family definitely left their scars. As well as the NSP that got extracted from him. Nexus is a changed person, but he still has that venerable soft side that I loved about NMoon as a character so much. If anything, Nexus is far softer because of his trauma and experiences and the personality disorders that developed due to how everything happened.

I absolutely love their softer take on Nexus.

I also like their take on Sunset. (darksun. I swear I prefer the name Sunset and I wish it was the default, because that's what a Dark Sun IS... the Sun setting. It's perfect)

Sunset is written as a canonical sociopath, but you can tell he has a weird fondness for Nexus. As his plans around him keep changing. He used him and manipulated him, obviously. But he keeps Nexus around just as a curiosity. Nexus is like a Moon he let in his home. He almost sees having Nexus around the same novelty as being an Exotic Pet owner and it's fascinating to me and I can't wait to see how Sunset develops throughout this thing.

I also read other fics. But I'm way behind but those are like the main two I am the most confident about.

AAaaaahhhh sorry it has taken me so long to get to these asks! 😭 I've been too eepy to properly articulate any replies ;u;

The short of it, it was so good!!! O0O I liked the story a lot more than I expected. Like gosh, the writing, the presentation, the animation, the voice acting (Joker's performance at the tent gave me chills)! Everything was so impeccable and much more than I thought it would be :0 Certainly a breath of fresh air and an upgrade from the diary stories of game 4 and 9 (I wouldn't mind at all if the devs revisited those with the same caliber as Closing Night 👀 at least it seems all the stories from now on will be presented this way)! While character and essence trailers tend to be very poetic and ambiguous, Closing Night was pretty straight forward in the plot, which was really nice.

The characters themselves and their dynamics were probably the most striking to me. It's one thing to read the lore through letters and deductions, but seeing the characters actually perform in real time gives more insight and adds layers of depth and complexity that are hard to perceive through other formats. Even the little things; the way they speak, their demeanor, their body language, how they act towards each other in different situations... Like how Mike tends to use grandiose gestures while he speaks, or how Violetta talks with such softness and meekness in her voice (she is definitely the kind of person to apologise if someone else were to step on her toes... okay, bad analogy, but you get what I mean gfhjgdg). It's these details I'm so grateful to have witnessed in these characters. (Emphasizing that these characters come from a media where most of the lore is tucked away in written documents that a lot, or even most players, don't bother to seek out. It's nice that the later story installments to IDV have enabled more of them to learn more about the lore, cause it's all so very interesting and a shame to miss out on) It was an absolute treat to see them all interact with each other and the environment!

I love how the point of contention was building up through it all, and how it all came to a head at the end. I loved Mike's development as he realised what was truly going on at Hullabaloo. His perception of his perfect childhood paradise practically imploded on him in such a scale that he could no longer handle it ;-; All of them were victims to the circus and each of them had their own sets of trauma from the abuse. You could understand why they all acted the way they did, even if some of their actions weren't always the best. Man, the writing is so good!

Overall a very good story and presentation that I really enjoyed! Lots of angst, which I love 👀 I feel like I've gotten a better understanding of these characters now too; just hoping I'll also manage to portray them somewhat similarly fgdshjfsd XD Anyway, I'm looking forward to game 0 now! (but plz I want more Ashes of Memory first 😭)

okok so I'll start with my Twilight cause I've been working on his part of Recalled for the last long time XD CURRENTLY I've been working on his wolf form and how he communicates with other animals, cause like; animals don't communicate like people do, so working out how to illustrate an almost alien form of communication has been really fun! I've been using a lot of imagery to convey meaning/expression/intent, and trying to let the pictures and colors speak just as much, if not more than the actual words I'm writing. it's fun!

another blorbo I've been brainrotting over lately is Captain, just thinking a lot about his emotional/mental state, and how he interacts with people/situations. he keeps surprising me, not gonna lie XD, boi is good at being predictably unpredictable. he's a very quick thinker, and good at rapidly exploring all his options, and the more tense the situation, the faster he can think/act. he's a very clever boi, and he tries very hard to make sure people don't pick up on it XD.

lastly, I've been thinking a lot about Time. the way that I characterize him is pretty different from most other Time's I've seen, and I think that's fun XD. he's pretty stable over all, and was able to resolve most of the trauma he went through when he was younger, so he doesn't have much that bothers him these days. he's pretty chill, a little awkward, and fairly forgetful (lots of memory loss from using the Fierce Deity mask so much during the War of Eras). he's very much a social chameleon, generally mimicking the people around him, just cause he's still trying to figure out how to human correctly XD. one interesting thing about him though, is his desire for independence. he doesn't like being told what to do, how to live his life, etc. he doesn't like asking permission to do things. if he cares about you, he'll take what you say into consideration, but in the end, he's always going to do what he thinks is right, and he has a hard time seeing how that might affect others. he knows he's a hero, he knows he was destined to keep people safe and preserve the peace, so he's going to do what it takes to keep the people he loves safe, and he's going to do it his way. (this definitely doesn't cause problems later XD)

I actually KNEW this scene existed before I watched the show. But I had no context, didn't know what episode it was, didn't know when it showed up, and I didn't remember the exact dialogue. But it was in a clip of a reaction that was cheering for Ellie doing this.

I won't give names, I won't throw hands, that's not their fault if they see it that way. This is just VERY PERSONAL FOR ME.

I won't give massive details, because it's so personal, but why it triggered me? I HAVE BEEN THERE IN MY LIFE.

I HAVE BEEN THERE YEARS AGO, MULTIPLE TIMES, WITH MULTIPLE PEOPLE DOING THIS SHIT TO ME. Acting JUST LIKE how Ellie does here, towards me.

It caused me a lot of problems growing up. My family AGREED with the people doing that, so that was not fun. They said 'I needed to hear this. I deserved it.'

So I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. This shit does no favors to the person you're 'roasting'. If anything, this makes the behavior you're calling out WORSE. They act even MORE like this whiny bratty type as a way to cope with the thought that everyone hates them!

Either bro gets therapy, or he's coming back more hostile and broken and distrusting of everyone around him than ever before.

In that sense, I think Jake left the show with the worst outcome 😢

Part of that IS his fault, I admit. If he had just cooled off for two seconds and listened to Ellie, he would’ve survived and gotten a friend back. But no.

So as much as I hate the scene, I admit I DO LIKE the idea of Jake getting called out for his bullshit. In any other circumstance, HE WOULD DESERVE IT.

BUT HOLY SHIT ELLIE, IF THAT WAS YOUR INTENT THAT WAS NOT THE WAY TO DO IT.

I can totally imagine that Jake comes back in a future season and he’s this bitter, hostile, whiny, “Don’t trust anyone. Everybody is out to get me. Everybody is an enemy who wants to hurt me.” And being even MORE unpleasant for his peers than he is in this season. (Except with Miriam) And a deeper layer being him acting that way because of self loathing. “Ellie was right. I am a dick. I don’t deserve to be loved at all. I’m going to be alone in the end.”

I would hate it, that would probably be obnoxious depending on execution, but I think that would be a consistent writing transition. (Again, kinda like Teruko)

So… I didn’t think I was gonna like Jake as much as I did. I mentioned before but I saw some out of context clips, some of them being only about hatred towards Jake and that calling out scene. So I thought, cause I didn’t know context, “Oh, he’s probably this massive dickhole of a person.”

And then I watch it for myself and look where we are. I love this trainwreck.

Not in the sense of “Cinnamon roll baby girl did nothing wrong and his trauma excuses him of all his actions” Cause uh… hell no.

It was just very refreshing for me to have a character whose experiences and issues actually make them hard to deal with and messy and ‘annoying’. Especially for someone like me who didn’t have exact experiences but also acted like that years ago until I got help.

There’s a GREAT VIDEO that really fits this topic, I’ll put it here. It’s about flawed characters and the discourse surrounding them.

Okay I have two different takes, objective and subjective.

Subjectively I think I hate her now. Just cause of that scene being WRONG on so many levels.

But objectively I see her POV in the sense of “She’s too far gone”. And Jake was giving her shit. And she didn’t want to listen to Miriam. I said this last time. This is a cool concept for a character and I’m down for it.

But yeah, she’s too far gone.

Right now, if I was being subjective she’d be an F tier just for that scene alone.

But she is one of the more interesting and intriguing characters left, and I do think she has a chance to win still.

In Total Drama, they usually DON’T let villain/morally grey characters win just because that’s an ‘unpleasant ending’. Unless it’s Heather, but even then that’s… debatable cause of the season.

But you know, this is an indie show. They can do whatever they want. So who knows.

Miriam’s gotta get revenge on her though. She’s our only hope.

I loved that Nino breakdown you were sent and agree it works well, two thoughts occur:

1: Kagami sort of being in Adrien & Chloe's Trauma Teens Trio but also Marinette's friend would give Nino some insight.

But its largely filtered through Marinette's perspective (She assumes Kagami only hangs with them out of obligation) As well as Kagami's repression. Thus it wouldn't be a beacon like Chloe having a meltdown was, but it'd be another note on the "Might need to revaluate some things" list.

2: Seating drama!

I figure Chloe waits outside for Adrien.

She either helps with Fu, or gets him away from Nathalie so they do make it to class on day one.

(If Adrien didn't there's a high chance of Akuma Chloe, though Gabriel would kind of wonder if she'd just try to kill him & avoid it)

Thing is, while not late its near class time, Chloe is trying to arrange the seats so she and Adrien can be close. She's not outright demanding/bullying, but giving a firm request to move seats.

Issue is, given history, her not mastering tone and a combo of the party pastry dispute on mind & Alya being there. Marinette doesn't budge and counters in her own firm tone, & things start to escalate.

Adrien doesn't see anything off with Chloe's tone cos he's used to harsh at level 11, Chloe's was like, 5 and a half, not even registering. He does try to stifle things when it becomes an argument but in a both sides way. To him it both are overreacting & he lacks context.

Issue is its too late, he's Chloe's friend, he's late, he's the one 'expecting' the seats to conform to his 'desires' in Marinette & Alya's perspective. (Alya's also low key like, "Oh my life is like a TV show, this is the popular queen bee/mean girl!" - Meanwhile Chloe has like 2 friends & near zero casual social skills.)

Madam Bustier intervenes and sorts out a temporary arrangement along with noting seats will shuffle over the year. Sort of giving everyone a concession if it means the fight stops before it goes from just loud to hurtful.

Nino, having seen Adrien try to play peacemaker figures he's at least more chill than Chloe and decides to bite the bullet and sit next to him; he knows Bustier wants him at the front anyway.

when they went from extreme to insane, they couldn't handle the community's torn reactions and all that so they took fleeing into the woods away from society literally (without warning too - this caused cata to become super duper depressed for a while) for a few years before suddenly deciding to return for absolutely no reason other than boredom.

they've never been interested in forming any kind of relationship with anyone, and the only reason why cata is their best and only friend is due to the time they spent together being the center of top play attention. they previously felt bad about it due to feeling "abnormal" and "selfish" for not wanting to interact with anyone, but after the self-exile they've fully embraced their reclusive personality. bro is the type to silently leave the room when there are 3 or more people in the same enclosed space as them

on the topic of that, they actually think of relationships as something that'll only end in pain (separation/conflict) and it's a huge part of why they don't make friends

they don't remember the time when there were more ice carbon levels because they've been blocking out the memories since the mass deletion of roadbose lvls; but i imagine them as family who lived in something of a mansion prior to everything that happened

their attitude towards level difficulty and stuff is very different from cata's. cataclysm felt that he fell from grace when he went from top 1 to entry over the years, but icdx became known to the world at a time when people were still figuring things out - plus the fact that they were hack-verified meant that they didn't get to spend time with their creator to learn the basics of the world and was forced to jump right in. this forced them to become desensitized to most criticism as well as learn social customs by trial and error, but in the end they were still just a confused kid. when they were downrated, they gave absolutely zero craps about going from former top 1 to insane demon (they didn't enjoy being lowkey worshipped anyway) but it was the community going crazy over it that drove them to isolate themselves

uses all lowercase and italics in text, writes in cursive as default, on tumblr i also apply cursive text to them

they are capable of floating (and ignoring wind while doing so) effortlessly, so they almost never touch the ground.

in reference to the use of player colors in the level, they can change the colors of their hair, eyes, and clothing at will.

they can also go translucent or even fully invisible - they use this to escape social situations a lot of times. they can also make sudden flashes of very bright light (reference to That one Cube Section)

cata calls them "dia" as a nickname. they do not allow anyone else other than him to call them that. (in lore, "dia" is a nickname used by the rest of the ice carbon family for them - and they have a bit of trauma with this matter whoopsie daisy)

they very rarely smile, but they're just not used to smiling being the default "relaxed expression". they're chill most of the time

uses "xd" (strictly lowercase) when being sarcastic and does the peace hand sign (✌️) a LOT (and they still think referencing the disappearing meme while going transparent is funny)

their humor is the same brand as cata's (dry ironic stupid memes) but with a lot more confusing logic (or the lack of it) - they like to do unnecessary and absurd mental gymnastics to throw people off, but i like to think their logical thinking is still very much intact. probably

☾ - sleep headcanon: As you know, Ąžuolas is prone to trauma-induced nightmares & night terrors, and waking up in the middle of the night in a panic. Matthew tries to console them when he notices they're having a nightmare by speaking to them calmly, but not waking them. He has also noticed the time he usually has his night terrors, and tries to wake him up shortly before that time. And when Ąžuolas wakes up panicked from his trauma nightmare, he tries to console him by speaking to him calmly and trying to get him to do square breathing. And once he calms down enough, he might get him some coffee (caffeine doesn't give Ąžuolas energy, it just makes them calm LOL (theyll still be able to sleep afterwards)) & cuddles, until he goes back to sleep.

★ - sad headcanon: When Ąžuolas is sad, Matthew makes them their favorite hot chocolate: extra thicc, with no toppings. Basically just liquid chocolate. And then he cuddles with him. And when Matthew is sad, Ąžuolas makes brownies and watches anime with him.

☆ - happy headcanon: An example of a time they were both happy, was this one day when Ąžuolas was spending time at Matthew's house in winter, and it was very very snowy outside. And, while they were both out in the snow (along with Ąžuolas’ pet wolf, Pupa), Ąžuolas sneakily balled up a snowball, and chucked it at Matthew, hitting him riGHT IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD (don't worry, there were no rocks, and it really didn't hurt LOL). And so, Matthew turned around with a smile on his face and said, “Oh, so it's like that then??”. Ąžuolas ran away from Matthew, laughing their ass off as he bombarded them with snowballs, and Pupa barked and tried to catch & eat the snowballs Matthew was chucking at them. Their snowball fight here lasted a loooong long time, until Matthew said “okay, okay, enough, I'm getting chilled now” and headed inside, Ąžuolas following him indoors to chill for the rest of the day. And ofc, Pupa insisted on staying out in the snow for the rest of the day, but they eventually got her to come inside when it became night.

✿ - Sex headcanon: (TW NSFW) Ąžuolas is a bottom, and Matthew is a switch. 

■ -  Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon: Matthew was very open to letting Pupa (Ąžuolas’ pet wolf, remember?) snuggle on the bed with them at night & sleep there with them. Spoiled dog xD Matthew even agrees to let Pupa sit/lie down on the couch, chairs, etc., despite how massive she is, because she's just such a cute & sweet girl, and deserves to be spoiled like that lol 

Pupa spends a lot of time curled up in front of the fireplace tho

♡ - romantic headcanon: They both prefer to have a comfortable date at home, both of them in their pajamas, and watching a movie together on the couch; just Ąžuolas, Matthew, and Pupa. They do also go out for dates, sometimes; usually a casual one, though. Like, for example, spending time at the park, feeding bread to ducks, going for a swim together, going to the movie theatre, etc.

♥ - family headcanon: While Ąžuolas DOES want kids, Ąžuolas isn't ready to bring that up yet, and Matthew isn't ready to have kids yet, either. So, for now, they just have Pupa ^_^

☮ - friendship headcanon: Back when they were just friends, they both were crushing on each other soooo hard for a while, before Ąžuolas gathered the courage to confess to him. Ąžuolas nearly VOMITED from nervousness & was sweating like a pig, but Matthew gave him a big hug & confessed to him that he felt the same. Ąžuolas cried all over his shirt for a while, and they soon scheduled when & where their first date should be.

♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon: Matthew's main hobbies are cooking, baking, and gardening. Ąžuolas’ main hobbies are cooking/baking, herbology, & mycology. Also, I'm sure you know this since I am p sure I have mentioned it a few times, but Ąžuolas is autistic. Ąžuolas’ special interests/hyperfixations are herbology, mycology, & basketball. He doesn't play professional basketball tho, but he likes to play hobby basketball sometimes, and loves to watch basketball on tv, and play basketball video games, which he's got a collection of rn! 

My headcanon for my Canada is that he is neurotypical btw, but he is still very understanding & supportive of Ąžuolas! Esp because Matthew is a licensed therapist himself, and imo, a licensed therapist SHOULD KNOW these things 😤
