I know people will be upset about Phum and his dad. But I think Phum's decision is very much influenced by the way Peem loves and forgives, and to me, that's beautiful!

Toey said Peem's art reflects who he is because he makes everyone feel comfortable and safe, and that is because of how he loves!

He takes people at their word. When they mess up, he forgives them as long as they sincerely apologize. He doesn't jump to worst case conclusions and always assumes the people around him are good intentioned and trying their best.

When Phum's father extends a hand, it would be in Peem's nature to take it, and you see Phum glance at him and Peem's small encouragements to accept what is being offered.

Maybe Phum's dad won't really change. Maybe things can't be fixed, and the hurt has sat for too long and dug in too deep, but Peem has taught Phum that giving someone a chance to be forgiven can lead to something really beautiful because that's how they fell in love.

He deserves a chance to have his father. It's not about what his dad deserves or doesn't deserve. Phum wouldn't still be this upset if he didn't want his father , and he deserves to give himself that chance!

I love how people are only ever interested in defending Arya's right to be weird-looking. It's never defending her intelligence from people who claim she's incapable of thinking for herself, highlighting her importance to the plot and refusing to see her as just a prop, acknowledging how much of her story gets stolen and given to other characters, talking about her trauma or how often it gets erased and overlooked, seeing her as more than just an attack dog/bodyguard, etc. Nope. It's just a "why can't people let Arya be ugly/unconventional looking? :(" post every other week because people are, for whatever reason, obsessed with how Arya is visually perceived. One of the most misinterpreted characters yet the issue is only ever with her being portrayed as "too pretty" or the wrong "type" of pretty. This fandom will entirely rewrite a character's motivations, values, and role in the story to the point that they consider references to canon "hate" but! The true injustice to canon is we acknowledge that she is described as pretty several times. Arya simply existing as her pretty, important, and non-conforming self is too complex and confusing for people to comprehend 😔.

if your favorite character in JJK is either Yuuji or Geto, you have got to read this fic. This story understands those two characters like no other.

It's a canon-divergence, time-travel fix-it AU, in which Yuji, post-shibuya, is thrown back to gojo and geto's schooldays (post hidden inventory arc).

the prose in this fic is so polished and the characters are all given a level of maturity that i found so refreshinggggg. all the other characters are also just as fleshed out, from satoru, shoko, to even Yaga. Yuji's reactions pertaining to Gojo are especially touching. And the way he sees Geto is so characteristically kind.

Also, one of my favorite aspects of the fic is how it describes Yuuji's scent/energy. I know the accepted fanon is that Yuuji smells like peaches, but I've always found the idea of that scent to be a bit too sugarysweet and childish(?) to fit Yuuji.

But this:  Rosewater steam, faint and warm and welcoming, and pooling blood and something herbaceous.

now this is what I'm fucking talking abouttttt. That's how you fucking describe a scent, man! The idea of Yuuji's aura being ~rosewater steam~ is just so much more alluring and tantalizing than peaches, imo. ahhhhhh I'm in loveeee.

Zhongli for the Genshin ask game please!

There are entire several page long essays about the cultural inspirations of his character, stories, design, everything. Imo, he is Genshin's favorite in terms of level of cultural inspiration and pride to this day. You can read about a lot of them here!

One of these is his left thumb ring, which is called a 韘 / Shè in ancient China, and 扳指 / Bān Zhǐ now, implying he can shoot arrows with his left hand!

The English translation did not do justice for a number of translations in his 2nd Story Quest, which you can read about here!

Most notably, Azdaha (aka Re Tuo in Chinese), wrote a whole poem about just how amazing Morax is, and that the title of the question "No Mere Stone" is also inspired by a Chinese poem: "我心匪石 不可转也, 我心匪席 不可卷也"

Moze x Jiaoqiu

moze is the type of husband who always cleans, keeps everything neat, he will run (quite literally) anywhere and do any errand without complaint, nothing is too hard or difficult for him. he is v protective, „I promise I will bring him back“, nothing is stopping him from getting his husband back, he is confident in his abilities, to the point he isn't even worrying. he always attentively listens to jiaoqiu’s ramblings, his full attention on the foxian. he will eat anything jiaoqiu puts before him, no matter his preferences. uttering simple praises after the meal and never letting his husband clean up.

at night he cuddles with him, being the big spoon, holding his husband close, face buried in the orangey pink hair. like a touch starved kitten, he gravitates to him during the day, always hugging him- backhugs are his favorite. jiaoqiu always smiles, a sparkle in his eyes with each embrace. moze is often quiet, very thoughtful- usually ending up blunt in his words but not cold, never cold. the care and love for each other shown in the soft words, gentle embraces and lingering gazes. moze doesn’t do causal touches, his hands don’t wander to jiaoqiu’s soft tail, or even softer ears, or to caress him. he doesn’t want to overwhelm his husband or make him uncomfortable. yet when they stand close he bumps his nose against his. and when he is so so tired he rests his forehead on the shorter man’s. recharging, seeking comfort, love. luckily for him, his husband knows his main love language is physical touch. jiaoqiu bringing his hands to cup his cheeks, thumbs caressing the rough skin. he misses the smile that brightens the foxian’s face, his eyes shut relishing in the sensations. such a sensitive and responsive man. jiaoqiu is the only person moze allows to touch him, to drag those soft fingers across his scars, through the silver hair, to see him shirtless. he is the only one with whom he makes and keeps eye contact. moze is the type of husband that even without being close jiaoqiu can feel his touch on him. sitting across him, over a hotpot. lilac eyes on him. full of love. as if he is caressing his husband’s cheek at that moment. making jiaoqiu’s chest feel warm from the feeling of such a silent expression of admiration.

on the days jiaoqiu voices that he feels tired a quick response is given in turn “I can carry you.” a blunt, straightforward, and the same offer every time. he is more than happy to carry him + he enjoys showing off for his hubby. not caring for the public opinion or any observers; it doesn’t even cross his mind, jiaoqiu’s happiness the only thing on his mind. sadly, he is always rejected (occasionally making him pout). moze doesn’t even know why (painfully obvious why, the rare blushed jiaoqiu further confirming it). shadows are his safe haven, but jiaoqiu is his peace. they fill each other's needs, like puzzles fitting together, completely domestic in their behaviors; perfect for general feixiao’s safety and well-being. despite working together they don’t get tired of each other. work is work and their house is home.

coriander is not allowed under this roof and no big lights are ever on. when they have guests, jiaoqiu compensates with many small lamps, fairy lights, and a bunch of candles. unscented ones. otherwise, they would clash with the meal. sometimes, jiaoqiu will light a scented candle, but it won’t be lit for longer than an hour, otherwise, he would get overwhelmed due to how sensitive his nose is to smells. moze being the clean freak, and insistent on maintaining really good hygiene and not strong perfumes so he can do his job perfectly would just make jiaoqiu purr if he could. type of husband truly only for him. jiaoqiu is quite a social butterfly and he drags his husband with him, who will grumble a bit and then go along, and behave politely to the best of his capabilities. moze cannot read a room to save his life, short in his sentences and straight to the point despite pondering his words prior, they end up always coming off blunt. he means no harm and what he says is usually of little matter, and none of it holds any weight to him when all he needs is to hear his darling chuckle or gaze at him and all is well in his world. the only result he could possibly ever wish for.

and when they kiss? the lighting and shadow with fire and spice? the I talk a lot, flirtatious, rarely flustered with I listen to you with heart eyes, mainly unaffected but you make me smile. well… they keep it private. such actions feel too personal and intimate for them to be shown in public and given for anyone to see on display. they hold it too close to their hearts, it matters in a different way to them. something near and dear. they won’t be caught showing pda, not even holding hands- well they rarely hold hands either way. it is behind closed doors and in the privacy of their home that their lips meet, and hands wander, leaving soft touches in intimate places that they’d never do in public (unlike many others). it means too much to them.

Maria raised him with love and kindness, she treated him as if he were her own child and he felt the same. no, maria didn’t give birth to him, but he was raised by that woman and saw her as his mother. i can really imagine maria singing those eight melodies to help him stop crying and also to sleep 🥺 I can’t say much about George because it was mentioned that he was focused on studying all about the aliens without their permission, but perhaps he was studying Giegue too during the two years of abduction? it'd only make sense; aliens are distinctive and unknown to us, of course george would study all stages of an alien's life. My personal headcanon is that gieegs aren't really raised by parental figures but rather are expected to know how to do it themselves, they don’t have that sense of “love” because there isn’t one in their kind, maybe they aren’t even supposed to feel that emotion and just to do the task that they must do. we haven’t got a clue though obviously about giegue’s species so yknow

Another hc coming up, i REALLY think the aliens must’ve gotten rid of her at some point if she’s passed away. Unless they use her to study her, but being the wife of the person who studied their PSI without permission would cause sm tension and hate i think…either that or it was just old age but it makes sense to me for the aliens to have killed her because it would cause giegue to end up being the embodiment of evil. They would’ve stripped every bit of “love” from giegue and turned him into a weapon. Using HIS psi and power to invade the earth and make sure it’ll never spread — and i think giegue would’ve been more compelling to become the weapon and feel so angry because well..the humans having hold of information of psi caused his mother to die. they choose giegue because he was the one being studied and taken care of by the humans, wasn’t he? He must be the one to do it and betray his mother, his father and their love for his kind.

really interesting character, i wish he changed his mind and didnt invade the earth and stayed with ninten — but the fact that the Apple of Enlightenment prophesized his doom must have made him go crazy and he lost all sense of what he once was in the events of Earthbound. I like to think that Earthbound’s giygas isn’t the same as he was in Mother 1 anymore !! So i refer to him in mother 1 as Giegue, and in earthbound as Giygas. Because that’s not him anymore, that’s not the same alien who felt so much love for his mom. he doesn’t even mention Ninten in EB, but rather Ness and i want to think that's because he was so obsessed and insane about the apple of enlightenment being true and did everything to stop it, going 10 years back earlier JUST to ensure it doesn’t happen, but he goes evil in the process, losing all consciousness of his mind.
