In my Apothecary Diaries DR everyone thought I was mute because I refused to talk to them. The workers were even bitchier in person. The only ones who knew I could talk were the Eunuchs who brought me to the palace and Jinshi for a good while lmfao. And I didn’t even talk to him fr for a good while(not bitching it’s just funny). Then the whole fight between the Lady Gyokuyou and Lady Lihua happened and Maomao was speculating so I pulled her aside and confirmed for her. It’s funnier because she was like “You can talk???” Like yes girl I just hate these bitches.

Then she asks me why I didn’t say anything if I knew to which I had to explain that I was bought from a foreign country and they weren’t gonna listen even if I did. Girl was flabbergasted. Love her she’s great. Nah we got called into a meeting with the rest of the workers by Jinshi and he held up two signs, one in Chinese one in English cuz I can’t read the characters 😭 by the time Maomao realized that I was trying to get her to come with me cuz this was about the two of us. To be fair tho even if I had run without her it’s really obvious when I’m reading something so he would’ve got my ass anyway LMFAO Lady Gyokuyou kept us both, me because when her and Lady Lihua were fighting I was like “Gyat Damn.” And I quote “I have made the mute speak and now you are mine.” She’s so sweet.

it's one of my favorite/most touching features of mickeys personality that he's not super into being close with people. i really like that people just are so fucking charmed by him and he gets overwhelmed. it's not his fault that he doesn't have room for that. like, you don't have to really "get" it, that's just the way some people are.

it might be people think he should date in mexico because there was a decent chance he was just not going to see ian again (certainly ian thought this was a very final tragic goodbye) but i think 1. mickey would be perfectly ok being single, because romance isn't a necessary condition of being alive and 2. he never really believed that was the last time he'd see ian. less so a tragic farewell and more so a "goddammit ok this is a fucking bummer while i wait for the next opportunity to go home or whatever"

For run Bts episode 110-111 treasure hunt how well would Jennie do and what would jungkook think when he finds out she went home when he was the last one there

There will be RUN episodes where she doesn’t do that great and RUN episodes she does quite well. 🙌🏾 I will try my best to keep it balanced so it doesn’t seem like she wins every single thing. She’ll have her struggles and silly moments. But for this episode I’d love for her to thrive.

Going home to see their families right?? Correct me if I’m wrong! 💜💜 For this episode it’ll be nice to see Jennie using her brain and finding out the treasure hunt smoothly, impressing viewers. I’d like for her to be the first person to be told to go home after figuring everything out. Just a little before Jin does.

As soon as she was told she could go home, she would immediately look shocked and jump out of her seat in excitement, ready to bolt out of there to catch her flight 😭 the poor staff would call her back to do her ending comment first while laughing and enjoying her excitement. After she does, she’d get emotional about going back home and have tears in her eyes. Tears of joy. I see that being a wholesome moment in the episode since viewers would know Jennie’s struggles on being so far away from her family. Especially in a different country and know her circumstances are much different than the members since they live in Korea. I see people pointing out that Jennie being told to go home especially with BTS being as big as they are now is something that she cherishes and will not take for granted, especially when she is not able to go home a lot like she used to years before this episode. The demand of BTS is higher in comparison to 2015 for example and so on. As you have read the chapters, Jennie goes home a handful of times but as time goes on that will be something that won’t be as often as before. And to have any time she can to physically be with her family in America makes her grateful.

WayV's Kun - the dad to end all dads. i have endless leader feelings about this man, who is the leader of SM's final push to conquer the China market that was actually going really well until [redacted], and suddenly Kun is the leader of a group that has members in different countries, that cannot promote in China while the pandemic is going on and cannot promote in Chinese while in Korea. technically WayV is under the umbrella of the broader NCT group, but xenophobia will have stans staying 'they just don't vibe for some reason'. this man's group was shelved for over a year due to international geopolitics and he held it and them together admirably, and it's been SO good to see WayV employed in 2023 and gaining momentum again. also he can fly a plane ( a real one), somehow made PUBG hot by being very good at it, and one time he was live and you just heard from the background one of his members yelling from the shower KUN GE THERE'S NO HOT WATER, like, every man in this group just has it hard wired into their brain that if there is a problem, kun ge will fix it. and he does.

What do you think about Azure Gleam's part II? I've seen many online discussions, mostly negative. The main issue is ofc how they handled Edelgard, the other Eagles and the Empire. There are also some who think it's boring/too predictable/less dynamic than the other two. And while I do think part I was indeed way better, I still did enjoy the rest while playing (though I felt really sorry for Edelgard). But when I read all the hate part II receives, I think maybe I'm part of a minority? lol

I loved all of AG tbh aside from a few forced writing choices like Literally Everyone Except Dimitri distrusting Claude for literally no reason whatsoever. I've talked a bit before regarding how I don't like how they handled Edelgard, but only to the extent that she was essentially literally woobified and couldn't knowingly take responsibility for her actions. Since those things don't actually affect the overall story though, they're more like... minor annoyances.

I don't feel like AG was predictable in any way tbh. Who expected Miklan to be part of the army and be hanging out at your camp as a friendly NPC? Who expected Dimitri to head to Fhirdiad only to get captured and need rescuing (because mind you a lot of people get annoyed about female damsel in distress tropes, and this was literally the opposite of the norm)? Who expected that NPCs would actually comment that Dimitri was more relaxed in the second half and was much easier to approach (which is a total contrast to AM where he's totally unapproachable then he's just back to his usual approachability. He didn't have the same support in AM to be able to relax in the same way)? Who expected that Thales was going to be the final boss of the route (seeing as most people would expect it to be Edelgard, and not woobified Edelgard)? Who expected to see Rodrigue being able to land the final blow against Thales because he can actually survive the entire game and kill his son's murderer-by-conspiracy? Who expected Rufus to be the big early game villain that you had to personally defeat and wasn't offed offscreen and told to us later?

There were a lot of things that weren't predictable in AG. It was also much more adrenaline based, whereas GW was more like looming dread for me. SB was just... eh. It was just alternate CF, so it wasn't anything new. All they really did was change who died in some regards and allowed the players to actually fight both Thales and Rhea instead of "and then after the war they fought and defeated TWS, the end"/

As far as the Empire went, I don't think it was made to look bad the way people seem to think? The Empire itself wasn't the issue. Thales and Ludwig were in charge of it, though Ludwig was mostly just Thales' puppet at that point like the rest of the army. What happened to the Empire wasn't because the people who ran the Empire allowed that to happen, and I actually liked that they really showed us the damage Thales could do. The whole country was a disaster and it was basically bandit central there. We've always been told how dangerous TWS is, but we've never really gotten to see the sheer amount of devastation they were capable of. What happened to the Empire would've been all of Fodlan if Thales was able to manage that. It was kind of annoying how TWS was supposed to be so powerful and terrifying but they were just laughable as villains in Houses. Hell, even Solon and Kronya lasted to nearly the end of the game. They actually felt tenacious and threatening.

Literally my biggest disappointment in all of AG is the fact that Miklan died lmfao. He would've been a great playable character and they even had playable quotes for him in Houses so at some point in Houses' development they considered making him playable (like, he had full voiced JP and Eng quotes as a playable ally).

When the game first came out I was really excited by all the things they filled the route with. Not only we did get closure on Duscur for so many characters and for the players (because it didn't feel all that satisfying killing Thales in AM, because nobody even knew he wasn't Arundel. The only satisfying part of it for me was killing the guy who was trying to hurt Claude ahjfghjsgdhf), but we even got to hang out with Duscur soldiers in camp! We even got a fleshed out paralogue in Duscur with some of the people affected by the Tragedy, which was a lot better than the one we got originally in Houses. There was also much better relationship development between Felix and Dedue, Ingrid and Dedue and Ingrid and other NPC Duscur soldiers. Felix's relationship with Dedue in Houses was just... minimal. Very, very minimal. They get a support arguing and then they get a support where all of a sudden now Felix is like >:/ don't die or I will kill u >:/ as if implying they'd grown a lot closer, when the only other conversation they really had was... their C support. Throughout the game in Hopes we actually get interaction and sometimes see them together at camp.

Honestly, playing AG and being at camp was super fun because there were people from everywhere. There were civilians there, the Knights of Seiros, people from the Empire, people from Leicester (and the people from Leicester were so sweet and kind when you get them in your army), you get Brigid rep through Petra if you recruit her, you have people from Duscur... It just felt like a really fun experience because not everyone you talk to while exploring camp came from Faerghus. On that note too, I feel like we learned a lot more about other locations through AG's expeditions, like Sylvain randomly throwing Morfis hair dye lore at us, or how Ingrid talks about Sreng's food problems. It feels like Faerghus is such an open space where you can learn so much, about so much more than just Faerghus.

Also, let's be real, it's the only route Seteth is playable in so it wins by default because we get Takehito Koyasu and Mark Whitten's wonderful voice acting (Koyasu voice being recruitable makes the route win by default, I don't make the rules, he's just the god of voice acting and he's everywhere gjksgjfgsjg). :) I'm kidding. Mostly! It does get a bonus for having Seteth though considering how unimportant the Church otherwise is is in this game, and Seteth actually gets a good chunk of screentime in AG and gets to have a friendship with Dimitri that we were completely stripped of in AM.

Then there's the dads! OH THE DADS. We got so much lore and information from Rodrigue in this game. Making him playable was probably really the best thing they could've done for the characters' relationships imo. Felix also really needed him to be playable for those supports. We got a lot of fun tidbits about Lambert too from Rodrigue's old man tea sipping gossip, and hearing all of that for the first time was so much fun for me. We also get to learn from about Matthias' relationship with Sreng considering he's been guarding against their invasions for so long, and in turn we get to learn that a Sreng commander is on pretty relaxed terms with Sylvain and seems to know Miklan equally as well, so it sounds like the man wasn't just talking with Matthias, but probably had some sort of friendship going on with the brothers, too. More than any other route, we learn more about the previous generation and how the kids are improving upon all the foundations started from their parents. AM left so much groundwork that it didn't build upon, but AG took all of that and more and had lore thrown at us from every direction.

AG was a huge to play, and I was SO relived that Claude was an ally in this route since I knew beforehand form the leaks about what would happen in GW and in SB. Also, Claude was actually on the map and fighting with you in two chapters which we were R O B B E D of in AM. I may be a lion, but I want my deer friends close by! And Ferdinand, but he went MIA. I refuse to say he died in that route. He was just hiding. He was waiting to come out of hiding. That's all. It was too dangerous! And Ludwig never mentioned anything about his son being dead so I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT HAPPENED! Sorry Hubert. You really did die offscreen, I can't help you there like I can cling to my weak little hope for Ferdinand...

OH OH and we got to have Cyril hang out at camp too sometimes! That was nice. It was like a quick hi and bye, but it was nice to see him sometimes.

When it comes to the few things I was meh about, I can look past them to an extent because there were way more good things in AG than bad things. My overall experience was positive and not me being bored or dreading whatever happened next.

I'M DISAPPOINTED WE DIDN'T GET YURI FOR HALF THE GAME but he does join you sooner in AG than either of the other routes if I'm not mistaken so I'll take that as a win. Sad tho that I gotta lose Miklan to reach him and my boy Lorenz.

OH and Matthias saying he would avenge Miklan and Sylvain being sad that he died (again lol...) was very nice. AG helped the characters and their relationships feel way more nuanced than just what we had in Houses alone.

Basically AG helped improve upon what we already had, which is why I loved it so much compared to the other two. There was so much information we could've gotten in GW and instead it focused on the same stuff it focuses on in the other routes (i.e. Fodlan war stuff, etc). GW was missed potential, and SB was just a rehash of what we already had. I mean, GW did do Lorenz justice which was severely needed based on the fandom's failure to recognize his character through Houses, and I did love basically everything Lorenz was a major part of, but that's really the only thing that kept me going in GW. AG instead always kept me excited and when Claude showed up in chapter 11 it was like YAAAAY HURRAAAAAY, and then we had basically all the armies in the game fighting together (also counting the Empire's people that you can recruit, since really even if those people once fought for Edelgard, they'd be fighting for Thales if they continued fighting for the Empire *COUGHCASPARCOUGH*. You had the Kingdom, Alliance, Empire, Church and Duscur all fighting together + Petra if recruited.

We're probably part of the minority of folks who liked AG, yeah, but I had very little to dislike compared to how much of it had my attention and enjoyment.

So Pride demons have seven eyes, and Wisdom spirit have eight symmetrical eyes? So when wisdom is corrupted into pride, it loses an eye? Interesting.

I’ll give the writers props for this, it’s a good showcase of this Extremely Relevant to the Plot and Main Lore process.

Can a single mage in the show use a spell recognizable from the games?! The designers were aware this is based on a video game and should maintain some semblance of visual continuity in combat skills, right? Yes, we know the combat abilities in the games don't look exactly the same in-universe, which is exactly why it would be interesting to see what they do look like for the characters!

Well, not very excited about the sudden announcement that the Red Templar faction is back for DA4 and Meredith who was one of the most interesting and realistic villains in the franchise is back as a cartoonish shade of herself.

Alright, due to the plot being interesting the rating in my head went up to 6/10 or even 7/10. Still, the dialogue remains awful and the body language/expressions are tiresome cliches. How old is the target audience for this, about nine? Since the Dragon Age games have the Mature/18+ rating due to all the dark and sexual content, the quality of writing and directing should be adult level too...

Holy moly what a fucking DAY!

- slept in the brewery parking lot last night, mostly chill except for some random car that came into the lot at 2am, sketched me out but they left and didn't come back, slept alright otherwise. Had some weird dreams I think but I can't remember them now.

- started out with cool weather and then quickly got hot; left side of my body is a lil sunburnt from the car window lol but it's like a balance between covering up to block the sun vs overheating bc I'm covered up. Gotta get my AC fixed... Phone was overheating so I had to hold it up to get airflow pretty much the whole way haha.

- spent like 2 hours just zoning out having a conversation with myself in Spanish lol realized I need to learn more vocab and brush up on conjugations but for the most part I remember a lot and could probably hold a conversation with a real person if they're patient about it 😂 some nice fall leaves/scenery along the drive, otherwise I kinda zoned out for most of it. Wished I had left earlier so I could be meandering around the backroads instead of the highway, maybe next time.

- oh also my vape ran out of juice yesterday so I stopped at a vape store at one point? Telling myself that this is the last one and I'm not gonna get another one... We'll see 🙃

- around 4pm stopped at a rest area to start browsing for campsites, phone died, wouldn't charge and wouldn't turn on again; drove a bit down the highway, saw a sign for a visitor center (some random cemetery, idek?) asked the lady if she could look up directions to the nearest Verizon store but she was old and was like, "i don't know??" But she looked it up, tried to describe it, I'm like girl if you just look at Google maps I can write it down... But didn't want to be rude about it lol but she's like, it's near the Casey Jones village, just take that exit and go north, it's near target... So I drove like 30 minutes down the highway, van doesn't do regular radio apparently so I normally use Spotify but obviously couldn't with my phone dead, so I'm just singing the grateful dead Casey Jones song to myself the whole way lol. Followed her directions, found the place pretty easily.

- spent 2.5 hours in the Verizon store getting a new phone, which I was planning to do soon anyway since I've had this one since 2018 and it was my exbf's before he got a new one and gave me this one; wasn't planning on doing it in the middle of this road trip and didn't think it was gonna take so long lmfao but whatever. Verizon guy was really nice, we chatted the whole time, he was definitely into me but was very polite about it. Awkwardly gave me his number when I was leaving, it was very sweet and nice :) idk if I'll ever see him again but I texted to say thanks for helping, always good to know nice helpful people in various locations around the country haha

- at this point it's 7pm, all the nearby campgrounds are closed so I can't call the office and the website won't let me book anything for tonight online; so guess where I ended up??? Fucking cracker barrel again! Can't seem to avoid it haha. But, grateful that it's always there as a nice friendly backup plan :) actually went inside and had dinner this time, I always get the option where it's like a plate of four side dishes, I got steamed broccoli, a baked sweet potato (not loaded, just butter), mac & cheese, fried apples, and it came with corn bread. Only ate the broccoli and half of the sweet potato, half of a piece of cornbread, tried some bites of mac and cheese and the apples but was pretty full at that point and wasn't feeling it. Also a bud light & a glass of water. Before that, all I had eaten today was a granola bar and a bag of Doritos and 2 Celsius green teas lmfao I was feeling shaky so dinner was the right decision.

- now it's 10pm, I'm fucking Tired. It's hot in the van and I kinda have to pee but I'm ignoring it. Gotta drive further tomorrow than I was planning but there's a nice looking park like halfway from here to where I'm going so I'll try to stop there and get one more night of nature camping before being in the city for a month; would've been nice to be in a park tonight too but c'est la vie! Gonna have to drive more on Monday than I wanted to but it is what it is, glad I gave myself at least a little bit of buffer time to get there, would've sucked to have to call the boss and tell him I can't make it to the first day... So it's working out, never as planned but always in unexpected ways :) for example, if I had left earlier and was meandering around the backroads, it would've been a lot harder to find a Verizon store without a GPS lol. Things work out!!

- grateful that I have money saved up for things like this and it wasn't that stressful to dump a bunch of money on a new phone. Grateful for the nice lady at the visitor center and that the store was easy to find and the guy in there was friendly. Grateful that there's cracker barrels all over the country and they let you sleep in their parking lots. Grateful that Google makes it easy to transfer all your data from one phone to another, I just had to sign into my account and everything is exactly the same as my old phone, all my photos and messages are still there, just with some cool extra features that I get to play around with now (the new camera??? Omg so excited.) Grateful that I still have an extra day to get there and I don't need to drive 12 hours tomorrow and I can have one more night of camping before hoteling in the city for a month. Grateful that I have some camping neighbors in this parking lot tonight and they seem chill, I can see one guy in the RV nearby watching a movie with the window open lol, last night I was alone which always makes me jumpy. Grateful that I'm about to go make like $4k at the next gig and the phone expense is just a drop in the bucket. Grateful that gas is so cheap rn, I've spent like half of what it cost the last time I did this drive. Grateful that I have such a cool job and I get to drive all around the country and do fun exciting work when I get there!!!!! Verizon man said he's barely ever left Tennessee in his whole life and hasn't taken a vacation in years ?? Grateful that I have the opportunity to pursue this silly lifestyle and that there's always nice people around helping me work out silly situations like this.

Like yeah I help create music festivals which is a magical experience for a lot of people but only if you have money to attend, take days off work, travel etc. What can I do for people like Verizon man, or that nice guy at Firestone 2 years ago who had never left Arkansas? Idk. I'll keep pondering. I need to make that a priority though, figuring out how to give back to the world and to all the random people who've contributed to my life. I wouldn't have made it even half this far on my journey without the kindness of random strangers.

My Stand-In Eps 1 - 10 Live Blogging

Whelp, I have succumbed to curiosity and am also afraid of being spoiled for the ending (idek if there are supposed to be "spoilers" but yknow), so I'm starting a second on-air show even though I'm already watching Wandee. I'm watching it because everybody's seemingly obsessed with it but am also sooo nervous that this show will stumble in the last quarter the way so many shows/BLs tend to. Seems like it's about somebody dying and the mother resurrecting him only he came back Wrong (because the wrong person came back in the body)? I know people hate Ming for taking advantage of Joe but also are annoyed with Joe for not standing up to Ming and also something about sneezing... Also it's adapted from a Chinese novel I think? Interesting how many Chineve BL novels are being adapted in other countries now

Ep 1 (June 25/26)

Watched a bunch of intense shows in a row (A Shop for Killers, The Worst of Evil, Infernal Affairs) and was gonna do a sweeter show with Lovely Runner but I'm gonna save that for my train rides, so I decided to start this instead.

omg wait I saw a post that said in the book apparently Ming's supposed to early 20s and Joe was late 20s (well I think the post was smth like Joe how are you a 29(?) year old getting manipulated by a 21 (?) year old lol) but because Up's older, I thought they aged him up. Y'know ep 9 of Wandee was released yesterday and I haven't watched it but what I've heard about the treatment of SA irritated me, and I'm really hoping this show doesn't disappoint in its last 2 episodes. We're in the final home stretch and I've enjoyed what the show has to offer so far.

I wrote this in the middle of episode 7 and I think my thoughts are still similar: Seeing people say they want revenge is so interesting because I didn’t expect that from this drama, so I’m not disappointed. I’m treating it like Vegas/Pete where Vegas is Extremely Shitty and the show knows he’s Extremely Shitty (as is Ming). However, they give him some stuff that makes him pitiful (hedgehog and abuse from his father. For Ming, it’s missing Joe and playing house while hoping he comes back ig and whatever backstory they'll give him) and while Pete or Joe want to leave and resist, they can’t for long. Vegas doesn’t really get his comeuppance for the stuff he did to Pete (the random guy shooting him doesn't count for me because Pete didn't do it and it wasn't because of what Vegas did to Pete) but in the end, Pete goes back to him anyway and even takes care of him in the hospital. I expect that something similar will happen with Joe; he’s seriously soooo like soft and wants family and doesn’t seem to want revenge, he’ll probably just try to resist Ming but obviously won't be able to, both because he loves him and because Ming's persistent. I hope Ming does Some graveling though; I enjoyed Vegas begging. I know that most people want the before-relationship to be the intense/dramatic part and when they get together, things are solved and, often I’m also in that boat like don’t get with somebody who majorly fucked up before discussing and fixing the fuck up but in the Vegas-Pete and Ming-Joe case, these relationships are way too fucked and unhealthy to neatly patch things up and just Be Good from then on. What I enjoy for VegasPete is Post-canon fics where Vegas fucks up again or we see the toll that Vegas’ treatment has taken on Pete or how they try to figure out their relationship (and their sex life). I think maybe I’ll also be into post-canon MingJoe where Ming’s treatment has fucked Joe up and how they try to fix it or have a relationship because even if Ming changes, it's not like you can just... Forget.

Addition from ep 9: I literally need Tong fucked up so bad though omgggg I cannot STAND that man but I've heard that he doesn't really have anything happen to him in the novel + Mek said the director told him to think of Tong as a good person who is ambitious, so they probably won't give him the villain comeuppence treatment agh.

There are people who still dislike Ming and don't want Joe to end up with him but for me, I feel like me liking or not liking Ming doesn't have any bearing on whether I want Joe to end up with him. Joe fully knows what sort of man Ming is, the show and the audience also know - it's not like some other shows where the love interest is a creep, but we pretend it's romantic or that he's a green flag through and through (forever side-eyeing Prapai in the first few eps of the PaiSky arc and people's reaction to Prapai even though I'm a PaiSky fan). So if Joe wants to stay with Ming even after that, I'll be curious to see how it goes, you know.

I had liked Sol and Joe for a few episodes earlier on but stopped once I saw him fight Ming and not stop even as Joe kept getting hurt while trying to stop the two of them. Ming I know is shitty but if Sol also hurts Joe without caring (and also he's just way too pushy for me - another trait he shares with Ming), then why would I root for Joe to get with him (esp when he doesn't like him romantically) while Joe knows how shitty Ming is but still loves him? It's kind of like Love Mechanics where the characters and some of the audience were talking about how Nuea's a better match. I didn't think Nuea was as much of a stand-up guy as people were saying because he seemed a bit skeezy and very pushy to me (though I can't actually remember much because it's been like 2 years since I watched it). So, I didn't want Mark to choose Nuea or Joe to choose Sol because I don’t think these people are like Good even though they’re better people than Vee and Ming. Might as well get with the toxic man you love and give me a compelling story if the other man is also unlikeable.

Also, I want Joe to top Ming just once. I loved Ming being willing (after kidnapping Joe) and I don't need all my fictional gay relationships to be vers (and I don't necessarily think they would suddenly become vers if Joe tops once lol) but I think it could be interesting.

I grew so much on my travels. It was only for a month. But I felt something shift. There was so much excitement and fear and romance. Friendship and sometimes frustration. Growth.

I want to talk about romance this time though. And maybe not the standard idea of romance, but just moments that felt special because I shared them with a stranger from a different place in a different country.

One night I was talking with this man from Chile. His name was Manuel, he killed a spider for me. That night we were talking about how we could change our plans to travel together but I was leaving to go back to the U.S. in a few days, I ran out of money. All of a sudden he pointed at the sky and I look up and we both see a shooting star. We screamed and there was so much excitement. We gasped and our eyes were so wide. Everyone around us was busy talking and we realized that no one else saw it. And it was just crazy because we were sparkling. It felt so surreal and felt like that star was just for us. And what was even crazier is we stayed up a few hours later went to bed and he left to his next destination. And now he’s there and I’m here. And that our interaction was so quick and so meaningful and then gone in an instant. I’m so grateful for it.

Another moment, this time on the beach. This Albanian man sits right next to my towel. Like a foot away from me. I’m pissed. There was so many other spots he could’ve sat. And at this point I was still in the water and he didn’t have a towel so in my stubbornness I decide I’m going to stay in the water till he leaves lmfao. Man never does. So I stomp over to my towel and plop down. I don’t say anything and my attitude is right at the surface. Eventually I feel so awkward because he’s so close that it looks like we’re together and with all the attitude I have I say “hi” and that really meant “hello? what are you doing here? And honestly I’m not the person to ever make the moves. I have so much social anxiety it’s ridiculous. But I was so aggravated that I didn’t even register. He looks at me and smiles and say hi and we instantly hit it off. We go walk and climb rocks. It was insanely hot and he goes home to get his umbrella. I make him put my sunscreen on. And we talk about how it’s good for our spirits that we walk barefoot on the rocks, about how they open up our feet. How the waves feel when we listen. We talked about politics and Covid and his troubles with Airbnb. We laughed and swam. We spent the whole day together and watched the sunset. What a turn of events. I saw him again on the beach the day before I left and we spent almost the entire day together again and watched my last Albanian sunset. Then I left. He’s there I’m here.

The pressures of romance weren’t in these situations the special moments just rolled into the days. These interactions were most likely platonic in nature. But they carried such a romantic feeling. Like when you talk about a painting being romantic. Or the romantic time period. I don’t know. I just feel so full right now and have to get these moments out.

My solo adventures are not over and Im so proud of myself for doing it. I’m literally the best. I’m so cool, look at these beautiful moments I got to experience, in the span of a week. Stunning.

Who was the last person close to you that died? Did you cry? Jason's mom, and I cried for days on end after Mom told me. She's the only human person that I've lost to death that was truly a painful loss for me, like it was personal.
