The burger poll reminded me of the reason why I struggle giving Takouji a kid. Would the bby starve? Who would cook for them? Takuya should seriously hire a butler or some private cook, which wouldn’t be a problem since he will be certainly rich, but he would get to that decision after having put the kitchen on fire with Kouji and having given the kid A THRAUMA🤣.

So many times, when both Dads are miracolously home, they will promise each other they will manage to cook something good for the bby, but they will end up fighting over who can cook the best meal and will forget about feeding the kid.

Probably, bby would be independent enough to call Zia Cook Izumi or Zio Junpei and order some pasta or pizza from the restaurant. What a pity in my hc Takouji live in Rome, Junzumi in Milan but Izumi can make those two behave by just yelling at them on the phone, I’m sure🤣.

I'm watching through the early Phil younows for the first time and boy, we understandably harp on Dan the most for the 2012 era denial/overcompensating but Phil's contributions are fascinating. So far my highlights include:

"Dan and I don't do everything together because then we would get sick of each other...as friends" ok no one was reading into it as if you weren't friends

Him willingly reading out "would you rather marry Dan or lick a hobo" and having an extended moment of silence that lasts way too long to be casual as he fights for his life trying to figure out what to say before saying hobo and quickly trying to move on. Then Dan joins later on and he unprompted tells Dan about this. Also should be noted shortly after he answered he was like "huh weird my chat is suddenly being slow and there's nothing for me to read out" which seems a little too convenient to me

Guys please you gotta understand.....Henry teaching Michael how to cook pasta in the late hours of Fredbears because he had an argument with William, and then like decades later Freddy in the pizzaplex wanting to make something for gregory that isn't just pizza and he's recalling a memory from who even knows where of a boy and an orange haired man in a similar enough kitchen to the Pizzaplex and then like even though he's a robot he has a sense of comfort in that memory and Henry's spirit is nearby and he's just got this expression of pride on his ghostly face guys.....

Headcanon that Will knows how to cook. (At some point.)

Considering Will is has a big family. Apollo cabin and all. You'd think he can cook but it doesn't really make sense where in their camp they already have things cooked for them.

I like to think his cooking specialty came from his mom. Or somewhat related to his mom. Since his mom is always doing concerts. He probably learned how to cook on his own.

Or maybe had his mom help him bake a pie or something. But he's probably learned how to cook on his own eventually.

His mom probably has a big family on her side, so maybe that's where he knows how to cook or something. Like he can make simple dishes but he can't go on full Gordan Ramsay in Hell's Kitchen or something.

He can whip up a good meal is all. But he's already busy working as a doctor. (Nico can probably do the cooking himself.) But he can cook! Just to an extent. :3

But not to the point he can open up a restaurant. I doubt he even can do so. So uhm.. Yeah. That's just my headcanon. Will IS a decent cook, and he can take the kitchen any moment if you want him to.

It's just that the poor guy doesn't have enough time while being a doctor. 😭

A headcanon I simultaneously love but now kinda wish I hadn't written is giving Sifo-Dyas is the cooking thing. I love to cook, and like to write cooking scenes and food descriptions and recipes, so someone in the gang was gonna need to cook in my fics. It wasn't going to be Jocasta Nu; that poor woman has enough on her ah, plate. That Master & Apprentice novel has Dooku as the guy in the friend group who cooks, making fancy dinners for his Padawans and shit, but it breaks one of my core rules with Jedi-era Dooku, which is to not let him have rich-guy-coded personality traits unless he's really earned them. He grew up with Yoda; he thinks slime is food. So, for some reason, I gave the cooking trait to the character who is even arguably LESS equipped to know shit about how to cook - Sifo-Dyas.

I had my reasons. It's really fun to write Sifo-Dyas as someone who appreciates little sensory things a LOT and puts high stake in them. He spends so much time out of his own head, I think sensory experiences, things like taste or touch, food and sex are really grounding and important to him. Him being a Seeker means he has to have SOME ability to keep living things alive. And I like giving him some normal hobbies. I love the idea of him being able to whip up just an absurdly good midnight pasta out of everything decomposing in The Truthseeker's pantry and him and Lene sharing it, still wearing their dig gear, over the sink right out of the pot.

But really, in my heart of hearts? I know this man should be eating mayonnaise out of the jar and calling it girl dinner. His fingertips should be permanently orange from all the space Cheesy Blasters he consumes.
