A/N: I love talking about sweets, some of the sweets I’ve written about are ones that I want to try in the future. This one took a while to come out because I’ve been focusing on important things in my personal life ^^ I currently have a Jin focused fic in the making, it was an old request of mine, but I accidentally deleted it and I’m hoping the person who requested it will find it when it comes out. ☆Subaru

Fried ice cream - Subaru likes many desserts, especially desserts from his childhood, but ever since he discovered fried ice cream it changed everything for him. Not only did he find the technique behind fried ice cream interesting, but he loves the combined textures of the crispy batter and the soft ice cream. He feels like it’s heaven hitting his tongue, sometimes Sho makes him some as a gift.

☆Haku

Dango - Haku is another person that has a preference for desserts from his childhood. He likes going to traditional stands to support local and it reminds him of when he was younger in his family home. It’s not too sweet of a dessert and even though there’s many different flavours and styles to try, he sticks with his regular which is hanami dango when it’s available in the spring time.

☆Zenji

Fruit tarts - Zenji is pretty much as sweet as a fruit tart. He loves how they come in small bites, and have a variety of fresh fruits on top of a white custard. He loves eating sweets, and fruit tarts are apart of his many joys in life. It’s also one of the greatest experiences that he misses and how the tart would crumble when he bit into it. He tries to find a way to replicate the same sweetness that he loves.

☆Edward

Chocolate -Edward is a bit of a plain jane, he says that it’s the “ultimate dessert” and arguably the most romantic out of all sweets. He prefers a mix of chocolate flavours, mainly a mix of dark chocolate and milk chocolate where he can get a taste of bitterness and sweetness in one go. He doesn’t particularly like many sweets, but chocolate has been around the longest for him and he finds it comforting when he lays in bed all day.

☆Rui

Swedish delight - Rui finds it adorable how Swedish delight comes in little cubes, and he loves the soft jelly texture when he bites into it. He can’t Swedish delight in most places, so he also needs to order it. He works a lot around Obscuary, so this is his tiny sweet treat as a reward. He can’t resist the soft sweetness in it. When he receives the package, he makes sure to hide it because it’s the one thing he gets to enjoy.

☆Lyca

Crepes - The first time Lyca tried a crepe, he looked like he was about to explode. Since he’s out of his jail cell, he wants to try as many flavours as he possibly can. A crepe was one of the first desserts he ever tried and he fell in love with a simple strawberry crepe with whipped cream in it. He was confused on how to hold a crepe at first and eat it, so it got really messy real fast.

☆Yuri

Macarons - Yuri is extra and only eats food that he deems good enough for him. For him, a lot of macarons at the store are too sweet for him so he needs to specially get them. He mainly has them with his tea, and he appreciates the soft crunch of the macaron. If he could pick his favourite flavour, he would always get lime or a flavour that mimics green tea. He eats them in his spare time and gets embarrassed when someone walks in, he hides them with the utmost speed and makes himself seem suspicious.

☆Jiro

Jello - Jiro can’t process solid foods so Jello is his best bet. He’s not one that eats sweets, he’ll only order something if someone insists that they need to feed him. He eats jello that is sugarless, this isn’t just because he can’t handle the sheer amount of stuff they put in the jello, but also because Yuri stresses to him that he can’t eat too much sugar or else there’s complications. If anything, he just loves the texture and how easy it is to eat.

Brothers Conflict (Brilliant Blue) Part 4 - Asahina Rui (Louis) Route

Yayyy time for the pretty boy whose name I don't know because everyone calls him Rui but everywhere shows Louis🥲🥲 Anyway, I love how he styled Ema's hair when she woke up late, the hairstyle was so cute and suited her so well! Can totally see why the other brothers like Tsubaki and them would ask him to do their hair. Lmaoo, Ema practised her cooking skills by having Juli eat all her food/failed creations, the poor squirrel!! Hahahaha, it's so funny but kind of Juli though🤣 Aww Rui can be so straightforward sometimes, I love how after the dates, he tells Ema that he feels lonely that the date has ended already lol, it's so cute. Awww, Rui got a lap pillow from Ema! It was nice to see Ema touch his hair instead of the other way around so that was cute. Lmao at Rui and Tsubaki saying he needs to learn to be more considerate towards girls or he won't be popular🤣🤣 To be fair though, Wataru is "lost" right now, so I'm more on Subaru's side that they should focus on looking for him than caring about how Ema is, but since the rain is coming down hard and she's freezing, someone should probably go back with her since it won't help the search if she gets sick and they have to care for her too. I guess this is the reason why I'm not popular, I'm not considerate either! Hahaha!

Lmao, it's such a Rui date to have the both of them just fall asleep on a bench in the park🤣🤣 It was so adorable how they held hands during the movie date and then held hands afterwards too! It's so cool how Rui can understand Juli! I think it's nice that Juli can communicate with someone else besides Ema, might help with Ema's sanity too since he's such a glutton lol. Awww, I love the conversation where Ema asks what Rui's type is and he describes it and then says she's his type hahaha! Anyway, Rui is a nice guy but dang, his voice makes me so sleepy!! LOL. Maybe it's a weird problem to have and maybe it shouldn't affect how I feel for him as a character but seriously, I have to take lots of breaks because I always feel so drowsy after listening to him for a while lmao. Aww, I love how Ema went to check out Rui's workplace and then ended up getting her hair styled by him! I love how when she said "she didn't look like or feel like herself", Rui said that she shouldn't say that because this style is just another part of her, and that there will be many different and cute versions of her tomorrow and from then on, and I think he's so right! A lot of the time, whenever I do my hair or put on makeup or something, I feel like "it's not me" or people think it's not "you" but really they're just different ways for you to present yourself, you are still you and this is just another way to show who you can be. Lmaoo when Ema was imagining Rui to be her future partner and got embarrassed so she buried her head into the flower bouquet, and Rui appears and asks if the bouquet tastes good lmaoo🤣🤣

Okay, unfortunately, I spoiled myself about Rui being adopted when I tried to check whether his name was Rui or Louis. The crappy thing is that I still don't know lol. Anyway, having that info, I knew Rui was going to tell Ema about him being adopted after she found out she wasn't really connected by blood to Rintaro. But even though I got spoiled, I don't think it dampened the effect it had on me. I'm still shocked to find out he's adopted because even though he says he's "different" from the other brothers and isn't similar in any way to them in terms of looks or personality, I think they're all unique lol, and they're all similar in the sense that they're all kind, so I honestly don't think he's different at all haha. What I loved most about Rui's words was when he told Ema that what's most important isn't to be connected by blood but to be connected through the heart. When he told her about how everyone has him in their heart just as he does for the others and that is what makes them family, I honestly cried. I agree so much😭😭 As long as you think they're precious, as long as you have a spot for them in your heart, as long as you care for them, it doesn't matter whether you're related by blood or not. I mean, so many people may be related by blood but not even care or think about the other, so really, what makes a relationship is that mutual love and desire to be with one another and care for them. I'm so happy that Rui didn't feel offended by Ema's words and was actually glad she vented her honest feelings because he thinks she tries to be a good girl too much, which is true so I agree. Ema can afford to be more selfish haha. OMGGGG RUI AS A BABY (2 years old) IS SO CUTEEE!! He's even holding a squirrel toy, he's so adorable, I cannot😭😭😭 I love how happy he was when Miwa nicknamed him Ruu-kun🥲🥲 Anyway, other than Rui getting adopted being a super cute story, I'm glad to finally know that his name is definitely Asahina Rui🥲🤣

I found it really sweet how on one of the movie dates, Ema and Rui were talking about movies with magic in them, and she said she thinks that Rui doing her hair felt like magic, honestly, with how creative and kind he is, it definitely is haha. Awww I love the park date where Rui and Ema share their crepes with each other! Lmao when Rui was sad that Ema was too embarrassed to go "aah" and feed him even though he fed her🤣 OMG when Rui just licked the cream next to Ema's mouth, heart attack lol! Anyway, Rui is good at decorating cakes huh, I guess that would be expected. Lmao at Rui calling Ema a "houkouonchi-san" which is basically someone with no sense of direction, or in Chinese it would be 方向白痴, which is legit what I am hahaha. LOL at Rui saying Natsume also has no sense of direction and would probably die without a car navigation system, it's me🤣 Awww it's so sweet to have Rui go shopping with Ema! Not only does he do her makeup and hair, but when they shop, he's got such a great sense of style so he can choose a whole outfit for Ema, and even pay for it! 10/10~ 

When it said Rui had been thinking about how to reply to his real dad for weeks, I was like omgg he still hasn't told Masaomi and them about it?! But I'm glad he finally opened up to them about his real dad wanting Rui to go to France and stay with him there. I loved Ema's answer when Yusuke and Rui asked her what she thought. She told him she didn't want to be separated from Rui, but she understands that this is Rui's choice and that she'll cheer him on whichever choice he makes. She clearly told him her thoughts but made sure to tell him that this is his choice to make. Aww, like, I understand that his current family is his family now and stuff, but I kinda wanted Rui to also maybe like visit his real dad someday or something? It just feels kinda sad that there is a connection he can have with his real dad but he doesn't need it, which is understandable since he's lived his whole life without him, but knowing that his dad reached out to him the moment he found him in a magazine and realised that he had a son just makes me sad that they might never get to see each other. Maybe his dad can come to Japan one day lol. Aww okay, they are seeing each other! Yayyy, cuteee! Anyway, I love how Juli likes Rui and can communicate with him so he's like one of the only guys Juli's not hostile towards lol. I really enjoyed getting to know that Juli was actually with Ema's real father, and then just followed along with Rintaro after and took care of Ema, so he's basically been with Ema since she was a kid! He's basically another father in squirrel form lol. On the other hand, that "kyoudai" (brother) end didn't even have Rui make a choice as to whether he's going France or not! It was just literally, let's keep getting along forever lol. OMG, Rui and Ema having a bath together is not a CG I expected but I love it, they look so adorable!!

Overall, I quite like Rui, but he is definitely quite a "slow" guy haha. I think it was really sweet to see Rui always dress up Ema and make her feel confident in her beauty and the idea of dressing up to make yourself feel beautiful. I really like how they incorporated the adopted thing with how Ema reacted to herself being adopted and I think it brought a nice new perspective to the usual dialogue of that scene. But honestly, I think that part is always done really well with the different guys and I've never thought they were ever repetitive or boring. Anyway, I liked how Rui told her his thoughts and feelings. I think the real father coming back in the end part was kinda there just for some drama since it was so short, but I did really like how Rui brought Ema along to tell the guy his decision to kinda show how he has important people here he doesn't want to leave. And loll Rui always seems clueless but it's cute when he does something unexpectedly seductive like licking cream off Ema's face hahaha, he's a bit of a dork but also cool. It was nice to see Juli approve of a guy for once too. I think the only negative thing was that Rui speaks really slow and gently so alot of the time, I would honestly start getting really tired and sleepy when going through the story hahaha! It's also a good thing though because it helps with my Japanese learning lmao. But yeah, if you like a guy who is gentle, sweet, doesn't say much but sincerely cherishes his family in his heart, Rui is your guy! Yes, I really loved his lines during Ema's emotional breakdown over being adopted, it was definitely the highlight of his route imo and now I just feel so warm and fuzzy knowing how important his family is to him as long as they have him in his heart and he has them in his heart.
