speaking of DEATH ON A WEDNESDAY, it's important to remember that during Inquisition, Solas is just one to two years removed from Elvhenan. Yes, he dreamed during those ~4,000 years of uthenera, but that's just dreams. He's not a spirit anymore. His world is the physical. And it's a world he destroyed. So to recap, basically one year after his life as he knew it, his world ended (his fault), his people died out (his fault), and whoever was left 'faded' (in his mind) into modern, persecuted elves and shunned spirits (also his fault).

Shoe was written as a homage to the series creator so he's not prominent as an actual 'character' but god does he mean the world to me. His existence alone proves Engarde is not the heartless frigid maniac he likes to fancy himself to be.

Aside from his pathetic breakdown when faced with the idea of being murdered by Shelly, having a pet kitty is the most effective way to Humanize him - yes he did all of those things, but he also went out of his way to install a cat door to his office so his obviously very young cat could walk in and out of it as he pleases. *I* don't have cat doors installed and *I* am a much nicer person than Engarde was.

This cat is such a small part of Farewell, My Turnabout but oh my god he's my everything.

Speaking of Tyrest. A lot of people forget that he treated Pharma with absolute disdain, not only using him as a test subject for a clearly painful mass murder machine, but talking to Pharma like he saw him as nothing but some henchman to order around that was nothing more than a 'diseased cripple' if Tyrest hadn't come to rescue him.

Like it really is an interesting background dynamic with some curious implications, but when you look at fandom posts from around that issue/the years after, for some reason people just saw "Pharma worked with Tyrest" and concluded Pharma is a card carrying bigot ksjfnskxkd. Like yeah Pharma didn't do anything to stop Tyrest but it seems his main beef with the Autobots was with Ratchet in particular and maybe a general disdain for his ex-comrades. As well as continuing to hate Decepticons which like, not even the "good Autobots" are immune to (even in Pharma's introduction, First Aid says in his journal something like "yeah we all hate Decepticons, but Pharma REALLY hates them"). And despite what fandom likes to construe there's really no evidence in IDW1 that Autobots and Decepticons are different "races" or "types" of Cybertronians, so Pharma hating Decepticons really isn't a bigotry/robot racism thing. And instead probably has something to do with, idk, the 4 million year long galaxy-spanning blood feud war, or maybe being blackmailed and tortured into insanity by the Biggest and Most Decepticon-y of Decepticons.

Tyrest treated Pharma like trash, the other Decepticons working for Tyrest (how come no one ever brings that up btw) also hated him, so if anything it seems that Pharma was more of a rogue element only staying with Tyrest bc he was his best option and probably had no way to even escape.

I'm glad that at least in recent years the fandom has acquired a keen reading eye and good taste to finally recognize Pharma as the (accidentally) complex character he is instead of making him some posh, racist Starscream clone SHSJDGSGDH

guys last night was a TRAVESTY our power went out and we decided to go to my mom's cause they have a generator and the normal way to get there was blocked by police so we went the back way. tried to go around a fallen tree GOT STUCK IN THE MUD.... which wouldn't have been that terrible like my mom's was only 10 mins away and she and her bf immediately came to tow us out but while we were waiting some dumb fucking asshole wasn't paying attention and hit the fallen tree going like 50 mph was so fucking close to hitting us or propelling the tree THROUGH my car like..... PLEASE. IT WAS ONLY SUPPOSED TO BE A 20 MINUTE DRIVE THAT ENDED UP BEING 2+ HOURS.

ALSO THE POWER IS STILL FUCKING OUT 12 HOURS LATER.

Mary used to smoke. When Dean was young, she’d dip out to the porch while a casserole was in the oven, and try to cover up the smell with perfume even cheaper than the cigs. But in a cruel switch of fate, the smoke didn’t kill her. The fire did.

When Dean was thirteen, he got himself a pack by telling the corner store clerk they were for his dad. He doesn’t know if they believed him or just didn’t care, but he lit one up and just about hacked up a lung upon first inhale. He kept them tucked in the bottom of his duffle. 

His daddy might a taught him to drink, but this was just for him.

It took him until he was sixteen to find the brand his mama smoked, replicate that nostalgia-wrapped scent. By then, he had a plethora of fake ID’s to choose from. Looking back, his chest aches at how young he looked. The baby fat still clung to his cheeks, then. He must’ve looked ridiculous sucking on a cig like that.

He kept it to himself. This was his. He’d drink with John ‘till the old man passed out on the motel couch, and then he’d stand outside to smoke. One night, nineteen years old, he came back in, and John was awake again. And Dean must’ve stunk somethin’ awful, ‘cause John slurred out Mary, you know I hate it when you smell like that shit. 

He slept in the car that night and shoved the pack in a rolled-up t-shirt.

Dean wasn’t a smoker, per se. Least, he wouldn’t call himself that. He didn’t smoke ‘cause he was addicted. It just reminded him of her. How she’d smell when she picked him up to carry him to bed, and he’d bury his little face into her shirt, and inhale the scent of tobacco as he drifted back off to sleep.

It’s just a small comfort. Harmless. Sometimes he gets a little tingle in his throat and he’ll swear off ‘em for a month or so ‘till it goes away. Then a hunt’ll go bad, or John will leave, and he’ll be so fucking alone that he just needs a smoke. Take the edge off. Make him feel like he’s wrapped up in his mama’s arms again, safe and loved.

the winds are so high and theres a blizzard but mike still went into work this morning and almost flew off the highway because he couldnt see past his bumper. which is one thing but he was accidentally driving in oncoming and didn't even realize until things died down enough for him to see for a minute he could have DIED

and now they've released emergency alerts and closed most of the highways in the south of the province

I mentioned in my post about Shadow Haru that she's taken control of all the shops and made a pricing system that makes it impossible for the Infiltrators to buy anything. This begs the question of how they get any medicine or weapons and the answer to that question is Mishima.

In the Perfect Semester, all of the confidants get put in Mementos by Joker both as a way of thanking them for their help and as a way to protect them from the reality that is currently under construction. Three personas of their arcana are there to protect them.

Mishima is the first confidant that is freed by the Infiltrators as his guards are the weakest because of the fact Mishima is subconsciously resisting what the Phantom Thieves are doing. This may seem strange since Mishima is the Phantom Thieves' #1 supporter but his entire confidant is about him learning what the Phantom Thieves truly are so when he sees what's become of the Thieves in the Perfect Semester, he can tell that something isn't right, the Phantom Thieves are becoming the tyrants they swore to destroy.

With the Phansite not being very helpful to the Infiltrators, Mishima supports the Infiltrators by becoming their fixer for supplies. Since he isn't part of the Infiltrators and shops recognize him as the Phantom Thieves' most loyal supporter, he can collect the medicine and weapons they need. However, he still has to be a somewhat sneaky as he can't just waltz around freely as that risks getting thrown back into Mementos and he still has to go find clinics and model weapon stores with Takemi and Iwai unavailable.
