JOHNSHI attire headcanons! Johnny part
Johnny loves clean and smart casual looks. He has his own polished style and likes to play inside that.
Loves experimental pieces and won't shy away from bold patterns and colors.
Everything is designer. Even his lounge wear is a Burberry pj set
Overdressed? No, you're underdressed
Will go crazy with hawaiian shirts with crazy prints
Always gotta roll up the sleeves of his button-ups for some reason
Loves to match with Kenshi's outfit
Never seen shabby in the streets. Rarely wears casual clothes aside from his active wear because he always makes his outfit very put together and intentional
When he's attending luxury events, he dresses both masculine and feminine way
Accessories are must
Changes at least 5 times before deciding on an outfit
Tries to go incognito but always turns heads because he just doesn't know how to dress casually. Sunnies and a baseball cap aint gonna cut it, Clark Kent
If he likes it, he buys it. They can make a whole showroom museum out of the sheer amount of clothes Johnny owns
It doesn't help that the brands keep sending him free shits because Johnny is an unintentional fashionista
He's a nerd about many things but never really been into fashion to study more of it. He sits in the front row of fashion shows, but the only thing that's going on in his head is "smash or pass" with the outfits
Two things he loves are cashmere and silk. That's far as he knows.
"The squiggly lines and squares." "You mean the houndstooth pattern?" "Totally!"
Steals Kenshi's clothes like 90% of their closet isn't his. What makes it different is it's his boyfriend's, right? And it's only times Johnny goes out of his style zone.
Read Kenshi's part here

what do u think megumi and yuuji’s styles would be if they were just normal high schoolers in 2024?
ywegisyefgisd thank u for the ask i actually have pinterest boards of fits for them for all my aus so this is like my dream ask
megumi prefers things simple, he's not much of an accessories guy (would luv to put him in some silver jewelry, but i think he's more into practicality). i also don't see him liking anything graphic or with loud patterns, he wears solid colors mostly. big jackets and sweaters/pullovers enthusiast (overheats in the summer, but will say he's totally fine). everything is loose fit to oversized. staple colors are black, forest green, and dark blue.
yuuji's also pretty simple and not much of an accessories guy, maybe the occasional baseball cap, but contrary to megumi he loves a good printed shirt. the more colorful and weirder the better. lots of baggy clothes too. also contrary to megumi, he will wear shorts into the winter but say he's not cold (he actually isn't, where as megumi is secretly sweating to death in his black sweater in 80F weather). also is a big fan of jordans.
couple outfits bc i can who's stopping me no one. they were yuuji's idea. they also have matching pjs. probably phone cases and/or key rings too. yuuji sees something he can get them that matches and buys it.
#too many of the fun matching couple outfits had straight couples :/#oh well#megumi fushiguro#yuji itadori#itafushi

hi hi!! hope your doing well! i’d like to ask for a romantic hazbin hotel match up! i’m gender-fluid masculine presenting and i use all pronouns, and i don’t have a gender preference!
My MBTI is ISTP but most people perceive me as a ENTP. i am quite tall, around six feet. i have a strong sense of right and wrong and justice, and i care deeply for others, but i often act reckless and loud because i don’t want to be taken advantage of for my kindness.
i really like being around people, and i like helping others in any way i can, i can be quite selfless at times but i know when to be stern to protect myself. i am quite social but i suffer from some mental illness, specifaclly bipolar and schizophrenia so it can make it quite hard to understand and connect with others and the world around me.
i am autistic and i often stim a lot by flapping my hands and moving my arms around. i have a lot of different interests, i really like silly things like clowns i think they are awesome and i really like fictional media, i also like collecting toys like my little pony, it makes me feel really happy!
i have a couple hobbies, i really like shopping a lot, i find it to be super fun, i also like writing and drawing, and i’m getting into software engineering! i also like listening to music, i listen to a wide range of genres but my favorites are breakcore, indie folk, glitch core and basically anything that is loud tbh 😭
i am often disconnected mentally from the world around me, so i sometimes have psychosis and hallucinations, i take medication for it and it works well but i still have episodes sometimes, it really helps having someone to ground me back into reality.
i really like bonding over interests with others and getting people into the stuff i like, i also love listening to others talk about things they like. i have really bad memory so i often forget important things but i try my best.
best way to describe my style i guess would be older brother core 😭??? idk but basically i wear comfy oversized clothes like silly t- shirts with cats on them and pj pants with cartoon characters on them and silly character beanies.
i really like being shown love by getting gifts and people doing actions of service for me, i kind of have trust issues so it’s hard to believe someone when it’s just words and not actions.
i am super chaotic i love saying unhinged things and just being very loud it’s very fun for me, i like jokingly threatening to eat people 😭 i also often type in all caps.
i am in a lot of obscure fandoms and i LOVE nerding out about my interests!
sorry if this is a lot 😭 but thank you so much!!
AHHH THE ONE I HAD DELETED 🥲
Hi hun!! This is completely fine!!
I’ve paired you with…. ANGEL DUST!!
When angel first met you, he definitely thought you were super attractive, and decided to hit on you!
But when he got closer to you, he really realized that he was starting to develop feelings 🩷
At first he was super drawn in by your reckless personality, but when you showed your true kind self- he fell in love.
With your sense of Justice especially… when he saw how you treated Valentino… and GENUINELY truly cared about him? It broke down his walls and let you into his heart.
He definitely introduced you to Cherri and you all became BESTIES. They would totally drag you around to parties and such and socialize ! You guys are the LIVES of the party.
If you confided in him about the mental illness and autism, he definitely would ask a BUNCH of questions to understand you more, and also try not to offend you.
He’d also try to help you through your episodes. He knows he isn’t the best comforter, but he tries. :(
If you told him your special interests he’d bolt out the door with you to do those things! Like clowns? LULU LAND!
Collectors Items? THE STORE!!!!
Angel would love to do some of your hobbies with you. Shopping? You guys are staying out ALL DAY. Writing? You better read whatever it is to him. Listening to music? SINGING YOUR HEARTS OUT!
Honestly, he’d probably judge your outfit choice, until he decided to steal your outfit one day, and realized how comfortable it is??
He totally steals ur clothes at night.
Angel would agree with you !! Actions speak louder than words, kinda why he’s at the hotel! Although he’s always pretty sexual, I think he’d be a sweetheart.
The chaotic nature is what brought him in! You guys are always having fun.
He would also LOVE TO listen to you rant 24/7. Even if he cant get into your interests, he’d try. And he’d always listen. It helps him get away from the world.
~~~
I HOPE THIS WAS OKAY?!!
Random thought, what kind of clothes does Chris wear outside of camp? The other week when I was playing the game I got to the bit where Dylan is poking around Chris's private rooms. It was hard to see the clothes on the hangers properly because the lighting was kind of dingy. So I wondered what you thought Chris would wear on a regular day. I was thinking he's maybe not fashionable, which makes sense, because of Dylan's "fashion icon" comment while snooping. I did catch a glimpse of what looked like black trousers maybe and some kind of beige or yellow top? Which were mix match looking garments to see there. I did see he had a brown jacket in his office hanging off one of the hooks too. Then theres the picture of him with his kids, blue hoodie. It got me thinking about Ryan seeing him wearing something other than his uniform. What kind of pjs does he have, and are they just boxers or maybe those "dad" kind of pjs yk? Either way, I think Ryan would low-key eat up that vision of him (based on your fics).
Ahh imagine, early mornings, grumpy Chris out of bed with a bed head trying to take some of his pills in the bathroom. Ryan sleepily stumbling in behind him, watching him through the cabinet mirror, clinging to him from around his middle. Chris feeling agitated that morning (needs his coffee fix), but a little less so with Ryan's smell there. Knowing what he's waiting for but too shy to ask for. Morning kiss(es), which he would indulge him with, since Ryan doesn't give two shits about morning breath apparently (he wants his kisses, owed them, pay up old man, haha). Omg imagine if Chris managed to convince him to try wearing pj shorts to bed? I remember in ASB chapter 4, he liked that Ryan was wearing sports shorts. Imagine the kinds of excuses Chris could come up with "It's hot out, you don't want to over heat, do ya?" Sorry for the rambling of imagines there, they're fun to think about, haha.
i agree, he’s prob not very imaginative in that regard. i think, that his most ‘badass’ outfit will be some flannel shirt, jeans and cowboy boots lol. chris doesn’t strike me as a guy, who cares too deeply about his appearance. fully agree on that one. and like, he came from a ‘hillbilly’ (as laura put it) working family. they were implied to be wealthy at some point, but seemingly less so now. and chris most likely worked, since he was young (odd jobs and such), so he would be more practical in that sense, vs fashionable. tho he totally has some corny t-shirt or a baseball cap with some ‘dad joke’ on it. smth straight from the gift shop. a thing, that his kids always make fun of, but ryan is oddly gentle about. and oh, part of me wants to say it would totally be a ‘dad’ kind pjs, but i picture that chris got sort of ‘lazy’ about it, and just sleeps in boxers and shirt. we don’t have a lot of background on his private habits, but with time, i imagine, that chris’s mental health got worse and worse, so even putting on a proper pjs feels like a chore. an unnecessary thing to put up with. his routine rituals got more ‘simple’, and the faster he can get from one clothes into another, the better. but if ryan or his children had brought him a new set of pjs, he would have made sure to wear it to sleep everytime lol. and sure enough, ryan would have been very invested in seeing mister h wearing smth different for once. it would make a bit of a striking difference between what chris picks to wear at work and outside of it. another bit of personal info, that ryan is so hungry about. and it doesn’t even matter, if chris’s choices would have been ‘plain’ lol. like most southern dudes are indeed far from being fashion icons, haha. ryan will have to dress ‘cool’ for both of them.
daww, ryan persistently wanting attention from chris in the morning is hella cute, esp bc he can distract chris from doing anything else. just ryan lol. and yeah, he wouldn’t really care if the morning kiss would taste like mint or not. he’s prob digs chris’s natural taste, more than mint even. and chris must have some extra taste buds, so him being hang up on kissing ryan without any other ‘fake’ flavor is very much on the table too. also funny enough, i think, that ryan would attempt to make chris coffee a few times (if he wakes up first), but it would be a hella awful one. chris would naturally endure, and drink it anyways. being like yeah, good stuff, all while slightly cringing and masking it into a smile. but ryan making awful coffee is one of those weird lil hcs, that i have lol. the kid doesn’t drink coffee himself, so he doesn’t really know how to make it properly.
oh, the shorts. dang. if only ryan knew how much power those things hold over chris hackett, haha. if only he knew, that wearing shorts would be enough to break the camel’s back. and man, yeah, haha. it’s beyond hilarious imagining chris attempting to justify his request. all while ryan be uhhhhh wut. chris would go far and beyond just to not ask him about it openly. instead, he would hope, that ryan will either do it and don’t think about it too much. or will actually catch on and do it just to tease him. i picture, that ryan’s own pjs might be actually a pair of shorts and a long, oversized t-shirt. prob long enough to cover most of the shorts, and it’s only more oblivious that he wears them, when he stretches and t-shirt rides up. chris will be a sweaty mess from just glimpsing it once tho, haha.
and no worries! i love when you share ideas/visions! or ask questions. it's always engaging. and it’s indeed fun to think about them!
“Platonic” Valentine’s Day
Seokjin and Mun hanging out on February 14th.
*Mun’s POV*
“Oh my goodness, YES!!!” I said to my sister as she came out of her room wearing a long, long-sleeved mauve colored dress with a low back. “It’s not too much is it?” she asked, looking down at the dress. “No way! It’s totally perfect!” I said, getting off the couch and walking towards her, pulling her messy hair up off her neck. “Are you putting your hair up tomorrow, though? I think that would look so good,” I said, and she nodded. “I was going to ask your opinion on it,” she replied.
“Ugh, I don’t know… I just feel so extra,” she said, still unsure how she felt about wearing such a fancy dress. “Min, you’re literally dating Park Jimin… of course you’re going to be extra every once in a while… especially on Valentine’s Day!” I reassured her. “Ok, fine, I’ll wear it… help me get out of it though,” she said with a laugh, unable to reach the zipper. Once she got her PJs on, the two of us sat down on the couch together. “So, you got any romantic plans for tomorrow?” Min asked me.
I laughed and said, “of course not… I have ZERO plans for tomorrow… I was honestly just going to sit around here all day, watch movies, and eat food.” “Sounds like a good day to me,” Min said with a shrug. “So, Jin-oppa hasn’t come to his senses and asked you to be his valentine, then?” she asked. “No way… I’m sure he already has plans for tomorrow,” I said, looking at my phone, seeing no new messages but hoping that maybe Seokjinie would text me. “I think you should text him and ask him!” Min suggested.
I certainly wasn’t going to ask Seokjinie out, but I unlocked my phone and began typing a text to him when I suddenly received a text from him. “You want to hang out tomorrow?” it read, short and simple. I read it, and my heart skipped a beat, then calmed down. The wording hardly felt like he was asking me on a date… yet the thought of it being Valentine’s Day made me second-guess his intentions. “It depends, what do you have in mind?” I texted back.
“Maybe go to the amusement park? The weather is supposed to be nice tomorrow,” he texted back. An amusement park honestly sounded like a blast… my ideal type of first date. But I knew Seokjinie well enough to know he was more of the romantic type who would want his first date to be a walk together at night while holding hands. I tried to keep in mind that it would be completely platonic as I texted him back. “Sure! Sounds like a blast!” I replied.
“Ooo, I see that smile!! Did you text him?” Min asked me, causing me to blush, as I had no idea I was smiling. “Actually, he texted me… it’s nothing really though, he just wants to hang out at an amusement park tomorrow, it’s not a date or anything,” I said, causing Min to roll her eyes. “Call it whatever you want, but it’s definitely a date! I remember you telling me before that your ideal date would be at an amusement park or something fun like that,” she said, getting up from her seat. I couldn’t help but think of it as a date, but I still had a feeling Seokjinie would be thinking otherwise, so I shut that idea out of my head.
Despite my attempts at convincing myself it wasn’t an actual date, I still spent way too long trying to pick out an outfit the following morning. I tried to keep it as casual as I could, selecting a pair of long jeans, my usual black converse, and an oversized yellow sweater with a white scarf and matching white hat. “Have fun on your date today!!” I heard Min call out from her room as I passed by her door. “Whatever,” I said, simply, heading to the kitchen. Seokjinie had texted me that he was on the way, so I decided to grab some snacks to pack in case we got hungry during the day and didn’t want to buy the park food.
I heard a knock on the door and went to answer it, finding Seokjinie with his long, fluffy pink jacket, black ripped jeans, glasses, and pink cap… He wasn’t really dressed for a “date” either. “Mun-ah!! You ready to go??” he asked, coming inside for a second. “It’s not as cold outside today!” he said. “Oh, maybe I should leave my hat and scarf here?” I asked. “Well, you should bring them just in case it gets colder,” he suggested. It was cute how he looked after me. “Bye, Min!!!” I called out before following Seokjinie out of our apartment.
“I’m surprised you don’t have anything better to do today than to hang out with me,” I teased him. “I didn’t have anything to do at all today, actually,” he retorted as we walked to a nearby train station. “I’m also surprised no one asked you out on a date or anything… since it’s Valentine’s Day, after all,” I said. He chuckled and said, “who said no one asked me out? Maybe I just turned them down because I didn’t want to date them?” Though he sounded like he was joking, I had a feeling he was being serious. We got on the train together and got off right at the entrance of the amusement park.
“Honestly, I’m so glad you came up with the idea of coming here… the last time I came here I was third wheeling with Min and Jimin… neither of them like riding roller coasters, so I was alone most of the day,” I said with a laugh. “Ahh, you have to be choosy about what friends you go to amusement parks with… I would never come here with Hobi!” Seokjinie said as he began to study the park map. “I think we can probably hit all of the rides at least twice if we start now,” he said. I nodded and said, “let’s do it!!” excitedly.
We spent the next several hours making the most of our time at the park… standing in line and talking, laughing as we rode the roller coasters, trying out all the snacks at the various vendors, visiting the arcade, making fun of people around us… it was just one of the best days. All the while, I never noticed how much we were acting like a couple. I was just spending time with my best friend, and somehow managed to completely forget that it was Valentine’s Day.
The day flew by, and the sun was setting right as we were getting on the last ride for the second time. “Wow, I can’t believe we actually rode all the rides twice!” I said after we got off it, the sky slowly turned from beautiful shades of pink to a nighttime sky. “It was so fun, but I’m so tired now!” Seokjinie said with a laugh. “Me too… we walked around so much today!” I replied as we approached the botanical gardens part of the park that we had overlooked earlier. “We haven’t walked through here yet… you want to walk around a bit more?” Seokjinie asked. “Sure,” I said, not wanting the day to end just yet.
We walked into the gardens, now beautifully lit by the stars in the sky and the soft lamps and hanging lights that were perfectly set up all around it. The gardens were rather large, and the further we got into it, the less we could hear the noise of the rides and chaos of the rest of the park. As we walked side-by-side, I could feel our arms brush up against each other. At first it was an accident, but then it kept happening, though subtly, causing my heart to skip a beat every time we barely touched.
“Taehyung and I were having an argument a few months back about something,” Seokjinie said, breaking the silence. “He was telling me that it was normal for two people who are just friends to hold hands when walking together without it being weird… what do you think??” he asked. I shrugged nonchalantly, though I could feel my cheeks getting warm. “I think Tae is right… it’s definitely possible to hold hands without it being weird,” I said.
At that moment, I felt Seokjinie’s hand slip into mine. “So, this isn’t weird?” he asked as he held my hand, though loosely. “Actually, it is a little weird,” I said, adjusting my hand slightly, fully interlocking my fingers in between his. “There… that’s better,” I said, not meeting his eyes. Rather than tensing up or pulling his hand away, I felt his hand completely settle into mine, and the warmth shared between our hands felt completely normal.
As we walked, for some reason I was reminded of an interview the boys had with a Japanese magazine. They were asked what their ideal first date would be… “Ahh, I would say holding hands and walking at night,” was Seokjinie’s answer. *Did he plan for today to be both our ideal first dates? No… it’s just another normal day with my best friend. It being anything more is just too good to be true,* I thought to myself, doing my best to think about him as only my best friend.
I began laughing, causing Seokjinie to tense up slightly and look down at me, afraid that I was laughing at the fact we were still holding hands. “What? What’s so funny?” he asked, nervously, though I didn’t let go of his hand. “I just remembered the guy that sat next to you on the drop tower… he was so afraid that he grabbed your knee and screamed before we even reached the top,” I said, chuckling. He remembered it as well and began to laugh too. “Or what about the woman sitting behind us on the kiddie coaster? She sounded like an ambulance,” he said, laughing hard.
We kept talking about our day and I felt completely at ease. We were best friends, and a simple, laugh-filled conversation was all it took to remind me of that. As we neared the exit of the garden, Seokjinie suddenly jumped, grabbing my arm at the loud boom of fireworks up in the sky. “Wah! That surprised me,” he said embarrassedly, causing me to laugh. More fireworks came, many of which were heart shaped.
*Oh, that’s right… it’s Valentine’s Day* I thought to myself as I looked up at Seokjinie, who was staring up at the sky saying “wowww” dramatically after nearly every firework. I chuckled at him, he always made me laugh, and I continued to watch the fireworks with him as we stood with our fingers still intertwined. *It’s just… a platonic Valentine’s Day… that’s what this is* I tried to convince myself, despite the hearts in the sky overhead.
Yugioh S3 Ep 31: Joey’s Dead (Again)
Ah, it is 5 billion degrees and working has been pretty much impossible, so, lets turn on Netflix and...
Thanks, Netflix.
Anyways, time to go see Joey get destroyed by a bird. On screen. This traumatic as hell kid’s show.
Now, usually this kid’s show is very...kid’s show in quality. The animation has exactly what it needs for most children and teens to feel satisfied--and that’s absolutely fine. You don’t have to make everything look like My Hero Academia, youknow? They were not looking for an award.
But this episode, the one where Joey freakin dies, they decided to bring out their A team. This is the best looking episode of Yugioh that I’ve seen so far, and it was freakin shocking how much better the quality was. Like, I dunno what weird blood sacrifice they did to make this episode looks so freakin good, but kudos to them, everything is more fluid, the shots are composed in a really interesting way, and for once, they actually spend the time to let these characters...react to stuff.
The big twist in Yugioh, at least for me, is when it randomly decides to be quality. It doesn’t happen all (most of) the time, but occasionally, Yugioh will just take a quality swing at me and it’s like “the hell was THAT?” Not that this episode is the best animated episode of anything ever made, it still doesn’t hold a candle to shows that are made in order to be beautiful--but for Yugioh, who’s purpose was never to be pretty (point of fact, Bakura’s hair) and who’s main purpose is to sell freakin playing cards...this is a damn pretty episode.
They just loved Joey that much I guess.
Anyway, onward for what is also the most melodramatic episode of Yugioh I’ve seen. This episode is kind of a gem. I cannot believe I just watched an episode on this show about cards where 3/4 of it was just so many boys full on ugly sobbing into their friend’s comatose body.
(read more under the cut)
Serenity, this small dot in the next cap here, has only made it to.....this part of the island. She has to now run up like 2 miles of tower. Just remember this fact for later.
Yo so...this is a stupid adult question but like who is paying for the healthcare on all these kids in this tourney? Is it just Kaiba? Is Kaiba footing the bill? I mean, it’s a kid’s show so we’ll pretend that hospitals are free (and in Japan it’s like Universal but kinda inbetween, so I’ve heard, so this would be less of a deal) but as an adult American every time they’re in a hospital scene I’m just imagining how crazy that GoFundMe campaign page would look like.
But, as Serenity starts climbing up this monalith, on the roof of said tower, Joey is at max anime. For the first time ever, his hair is drawn as like separate hairs and not as just some weird backwards anteater tail he wears on his head. And youknow what? Joey has a hellton of hair. Your hair has to be realllly long and full to do an anteater and I don’t give him enough credit.
And so after all that, Joey’s like...still up.
(I mean this is as far as I know, I don’t have Jump Force)
Remember how Yugi stood in front of one single fireball so that Joey wouldn’t take one for Mai? Now that we’ve seen how Joey was still standing after bird fire tornado--he...probably would’ve been fine with the fireball. Just conjecture, but I feel like Joey, despite not having any connection to a millennium item, is some sort of escaped X-men.
And then, like everyone on this show is wont to do, he just randomly hallucinates Yugi. What’s great about this episode is that Joey will hallucinate Yugi not once, but twice. (which will come later)
Also, this “Oh yeaaaaaahhhhh” was a super fluid animation that I might just lift because it was so freakin wild. Like it was kind of terrifying how fluid it was. In anime they tend to freelance out different clips to different animators, so they aren’t really all working in the same studio (which is why often anime will have reallllly nice animation in some parts, and then less in others, while in US studios where everyone works on everything, there’s less of that) But whoever got the Joey saying “Oh yeaaaaaaahhhh” scene must’ve been like “this is it, this is my big break” and spent like half a day making it as fluid as they could compared to everything else going on.
They also had enough time for Yugi to partially disrobe for some reason. I guess it looked cool.
Please contrast the twinkly lights and the shimmer sound effect with what follows it:
It’s at this point that Seto Kaiba actually starts to doubt this whole tourney, but not for the reason a normal person would doubt a tourney that has had several apocalypses and mass-murderers involved in it.
Kaiba was Extremely Upset about this revelation.
Anyway, Since Joey is still standing, he pulls a card, realizes it can kill Marik, slaps it on the duel disk, the monster shows up on the field, and--Kaiba either has the fastest elevator in the world, or Serenity runs a 3 minute mile because, guess who made it to the top of this tower of Babel?
That’s right, supportive Sister, here to walk Joey through the hard arduous task of basically pressing “enter” on your keyboard.
RIP again, Joey, RIP again. I mean it’s hard to get too wrapped up in it because I know he already died...this morning...like two hours ago. Like basically he got turned into stone for a bit, and then after coming back to life, took a nap on the blimpjet and then arrived at this island to die yet again. Joey Wheeler has just had such a very intense couple of days and desperately needs a nap.
But, game wise, Joey played a monster, it was on the field--what else would he have done with it???
But because he didn’t say a word loud enough for other people to hear, this didn’t count???
This game is so weird about what rules it decides are binding and which are loosey goosey. There’s absolutely no time limit, you can strap the other person to a weird wall device and throw fireballs at their face, you can sap their life energy with weird fiber optic cables, but if you don’t say the word “Attack” although the monster card is in Attack position--it doesn’t count? There’s nothing else on the field to hit but Marik himself. There’s literally nothing else Joey would have done with that card. He totally won this match but whatever, it’s Yugioh.
And lets give it up for the one and only adult in the room, everybody. Good Job, Roland. Good freakin job.
I get that he’s a butler/pilot/card referee/bodyguard, but who else is freakin there to parent any of these teens? Ishizu? Is that all we have left?
Sorry, I’ve thought more about Roland and his mysterious dodgy character than the people who made this show.
Anyway, it’s at this point that Mokuba decided to climb stuff.
Again, this episode has so many weird animation details that say a lot about the characters--and I’m just not used to this much love and care.
So another wild thing about this episode--I didn’t realize that Joey was even Shadow Realmed when I watched it through. This episode is super vague when it comes to Joey. Everyone is mourning as if he had died, and so for me, the first time watcher (as well as my Bro who saw it once when he was 13), I just assumed this is because they finally got a completely different but very good animation team on this episode. I just figured this was someone high up saying “maybe you should have the characters realistically react to at least a single death on this show where 183 people have died”
But, turns out this is actually a translation error. Because, in the Japanese version, Joey just freakin stopped breathing or something? In the English version that we’re watching, Joey is just in a coma, and it’s a rather pleasant coma (yet still my definition of a death). But, the reason everyone is reacting like...how they should have reacted the previous 182 times, is because Joey was actually legally dead.
Something they censored out to keep the show mystifyingly Y-7 although...I think I’ve said this a million times, but don’t give this show to your 7 year old. Going off of what my Nephews and Nieces like, Yugioh is a pretty far cry from PJ Masks and Monster High.
Anyway, the show goes totally all out, and everyone does a 150% more than what is ever necessary grief cry, and I think the best cry goes to Tristan although Yugi attempted really hard to steal the gold. Thing about Yugi’s grieving is that he was going more for quantity over quality, but they did a really brutal close zoom on Tristan going through the stages of Grief (mostly anger) and it was like...unexpected for a Yugioh episode y’all. I’ve never seen Tristan go that hard...ever. Tristan is usually kind of tertiary but he just came out of nowhere to scream directly at my face and I was not expecting it.
And this episode does something that I like, although it was kind of unusual for Pharaoh and Yugi--and it shows us how they react in a completely opposite way to the same traumatic event. They’ll both get around to crying but Pharaoh will take his time.
Also, we’ve seen indication of Pharaoh’s inward grief before - and it’s something they usually say but don’t show - but this is the first time they’ve actually showed that Pharaoh tends to bottle everything deep, deep down. He’s got maybe a lot of feelings about being a ghost who doesn’t have a body or a history or...anything, and him bottling up Yugi (since Yugi isn’t going to come out for the rest of this episode) is sort of a proof that he’s used to bottling everything.
Cuz outwardly, he’s just like this (and kudos to the art team for leaving a spot where Yugi’s spirit is currently crying over the corpse/coma victim)
And then meanwhile, Kaiba just has no idea what planet he’s even on. Remember that in the Japanese version, Joey freakin died in Seto’s own tournament. This would be a PR disaster, but does Kaiba...know?
(Yes, I keep a draft file that is just every single death so I can keep track of them, and this is the 4th time that Joey has died)
Then this doctor shows up, which is surprising, because I figured Marik knocked this guy out and stuffed him in a broom closet last season. But nah, it’s the same doctor, he’s back. This poor doctor who keeps having to tend Shadow Realm patients while every single person on this blimp is in the same little hospital room with him, just breathing down his neck.
Speaking of, if this doctor has been here this entire time, then why did Serenity just stay directly by Mai’s side?
They have a doctor.
Anyway, originally I thought I’d make this two parts but like...nah, we’ll just have a really long post.
Lets see how Joey’s Shadow Realm is (which, again, it is super unclear if he is or isn’t, and from when I polled you guys it looked like it was sort of like a “don’t think about it” situation of whether this is a dream of Joey’s, or the Shadow Verse)
I’ve made the joke before that you can tell it’s a dream when they’re at school but...we’re back at school. It’s the only time we see Joey in his school uniform.
Thirsty preteens rejoice, they finally removed Joey from his baggy pajama shirt that he’s been stuck in for 2 seasons. Like, do you think when Kaiba was looking at public schools, he saw that this school had not only crazy card people, but also freakin nuts shoulder pads and he just slammed that “enroll” button?
So...does Yugi KNOW that everyone else dreams about him on a regular basis? Like, does he KNOW? I figure Yugi just has sort of a weird tick related to the puzzle that makes it so people are seeing him, but Yugi has no idea that he’s got an inception method ability, right?
And especially since this is kind of a magic-onset dream, and Yugi really wants to save Joey, it sort of almost looks like Yugi is doing this maybe latently through the puzzle? But...probably not. I don’t really know what’s happening here, other than Joey’s just gonna go peace out and play this confusing card game for eternity.
That would be my Shadow Realm.
Back at our homeslice, Blimpjet, Seto has sent his little brother to deliver all of the bad news for him, knowing that Mokuba is too cute for anyone to do anything about it.
And so Mokuba decides to radio a helicopter to save him because he’s a Kaiba and doesn’t realize that planes/boats exist. Good to see that Mokuba has finally decided to embrace his job as Battle City Commissioner and figure out a solution to transporting/hiding all these bodies.
Honestly, I’m just shook that this blimpjet is not a blimpjetboat.
Bro told me that in the Japanese version, Tristan just straight up punches Joey right near this scene, and like...that’s probably true. Bro has a lot of spicy headcanons but I can see this show doing that. (bro note: that might have been an earlier Joey coma).
Knowing that, it makes this kind of more funny because Yugi is so absorbed in The Crying that I guess he didn’t notice that whole thing go down with Tristan.
I guess they wanted a throwback to S1, but this episode is so extra that Yugi very nearly stops playing cards. Nearly. He’s still gonna play cards, but I guess as a symbol to show that he’s starting to give into just not playing this game anymore, Pharaoh actually takes this weird contraption off his arm.
To do so he has to like remove the battery or something. I didn't even realize what he was doing because it was so un-intuitive, but you have to pull out this 4 inch battery from the back in order to remove the disk.
Can you imagine!???? Can you imagine wearing this thing in real life and shoving a 4 inch 2 lb battery in and out of this hulking thing every time you had to use the toilet?
Which...I guess they haven’t been, right? Like I shouldn’t go down that avenue but like...they haven’t been, right? There are just so many germs on this disk.
And so Pharaoh decides it’s finally time to lose it, maybe because Yugi wants to give up cards, or maybe because there’s no one else around so it’s finally fine for him to shed a masculine tear or two, but it took him I want to say like 20 more minutes than Yugi to finally react to all this.
And then this happens?
Anyway, remember Ishizu’s Millennium Necklace (not to be confused with the Millennium Puzzle with is also a Necklace, which Yugi also has, but he only wears one, because he just doesn’t feel like wearing 2 chokers at once, I guess)
Apparently the reason that Yugi was given the necklace was to get this one vision of the future. Get ready for it, the entire fate of the world rested on Pharaoh getting this one vision.
Yes, the answer was indeed, cards.
On the other end of the blimpjet, Mokuba I guess got tired of Roland’s poor radio skills and has decided to use the radio himself while Roland kind of just stands there and waves his arms around.
Straight up, does Mokuba have a Ham license? Are the Kaiba’s Hams? So like, Bro and I made Ham radio parts as a part time out of college and while I don’t have a license, it just really intrigues me that these boys do and I really wonder if they ever check into the emergency net and do Ham contesting when they aren’t throwing cards around. Ham people are like...really into their rigs so if you had Kaiba money, your rig would reach the curvature of the Earth.
Also, I kinda just assumed that they’re still in Japan, since Japan has a lot of islands connected to it, and the Kaiba Island does look man-made, but...is it not? Why place this factory in the middle of nowhere if you aren’t actually building a merc-for-hire program like Metal Gear? Like I know we just talked about how Gozobura Kaiba was basically Big Boss, but like...was this island made by Master Miller? Why is it in the middle of the ocean???
Big Boss had a reason to build in the sea, because he didn’t actually align with a country, so he had to be in international waters, but Gozobura Kaiba’s company is Japanese, so why go through all the trouble of--whatever I shouldn’t think about it.
So yeah, they’re too far away to radio to Japan although...that doesn’t make sense to me since why would you build a manufacturing plant so far away from your biggest buyer? But plot. Plot reasons, it had to happen this way.
And then this scene happened and it was...SO MUCH.
THIS WAS SO MUCH.
THIS SCENE WAS JUST SO FREAKIN AWKWARD.
Like it may not come through with the caps but this scene was made up to be extremely serious. The music was swelling, Pharaoh was pausing by Joey’s bedside as if to give a speech. The writers were expecting tears to come out of my face when Pharaoh did..........this
Wʜᴏ ᴡʀᴏᴛᴇ ᴛʜɪs.
Y’all I was DYING.
I had to stop the episode and just like...recover. We had to rewind so I could watch this scene twice. I could not stop laughing at the idea that the writers were like “lets take this very serious and heavy content and then make it super emotional and meaningful by SLAPPING A DUEL DISK ON IT.”
And what makes this scene even better is that like--barely anyone said ANYTHING after Pharaoh did this. He waltzed in there, did this insane thing, and then just waltzed out as if this was completely normal.
What the hell!?!?
And so while I am kind of reeling from Pharaoh just slapping a duel disk onto Joey like it’s a badge of honor and Joey was shot in the line of duty, suddenly--out of nowhere--Tea felt like reminding us that many episodes ago it was super hinted that these two might actually be approaching a relationship.
And so Tea decides to beg Yugi to stop and stay behind as if she’s a wife watching her husband like march off to the front lines or something. It was so melodramatic and just came out of NO WHERE.
Thankfully, as is this show’s custom, every time it looks like this ship might happen, every other available boy on the show must appear out of nowhere to cockblock the situation.
This episode is a lot of watching Pharaoh try his best to navigate a bunch of very delicate and intense social situations and he does so with the elegance and sensitivity of a bologna sandwich.
This shot of Kaiba on top of the tower ps was so freakin rediculous. This show just knows what it is and goes for it. Completely unashamed. I think that’s what I like most about anime--it has absolutely no shame to just be...waaaay too much.
...why THIS episode? Who was it that worked overtime for months and months just to make this one Yugioh episode look so shiny and nice?
And so the episode ends there, and probably all the character development we’ll have for the rest of the season. I cannot believe they gave me that much content in one episode. Damn.
I’m assuming next episode will be entirely cards and I’ll have like 5 caps of content.
Anyway if you just got here, this is a handy link to read these from the beginning.
MASTERLIST.
All of Derry middle school knew who (Name) (Lastname) is…Or, at the very least, the rumors about her. The said girl spent most of her time in solitude, hardly looking up from her books, but it was said that when she did decide to gaze at the general audience that always seemed to be surrounding her, her eyes would shine like small diamonds in a kaleidoscope of colors, and whose ever eyes she met would turn to stone. (Latsname) had a few friends that always tagged along, but they too bit into the rumors and avoided her gaze. There was even gossip, one time a year back, that she had charmed her friends and that’s why they never left her side. Even Greta did not dare to look at her directly. Carrying around old books in complex writings did not help to clear her name, either. Everyone just assumed that they were filled with spells and curses, when in reality…It was only Estonian since you’re only partly American.
October is quick to approach, and so is the weeks’ worth of vacation kids have to celebrate Halloween and catch a break from studies. As you walk out the stuffy school corridors into the windy, bleak day, you hug your books closer to your body as if that would keep you warmer. You frown softly. Stacy and Gwenda, your two best pal’s, have been at it all morning about how should you all spend the first free day of Fall. Your plans were mostly to brush up on your studies, but you know that will be impossible to do – the girls are too persistent to leave you alone. Perhaps you really have charmed them, by accident, you’re not a witch and do not fully understand the concept of what a witch is supposed to be, but so many people have insisted on you being one that you stopped questioning it all together.
“Last one to Eds has to kiss him mom!” A familiar voice shouts, and soon you see the boy himself getting on his bike as the rest of his friends hurriedly follow. Eddie, you believe his name is, yells something back in return, something frustrated but you hardly hear it as Gwenda and Stacy continue to argue, one standing on either side of you. It happens in a split second: Richie, you know him since you sit in front of him in science class, glances your way and your eyes meet. Directly. You can obviously see the shock and fear morph his face, but all you do is smile sweetly at him. He looks away quick enough to give him whiplash and nearly tumbles from his bike.
“You okay, Richie?” Stan inquires. Another classmate. The rest of their conversation is lost as they ride away.
~*~
“You don’t believe me?” Richie complains once they finally reach Eddie’s house. The three boys share a look, putting their bikes away. Eddie fixes his gloves, then his scarf, and lastly he pulls on the flaps of his cap so it would hide his ears completely. Bill simply shrugs. Stan has the urge to roll his eyes and tell their glasses wearing friend to shut the hell up, but refrains. Richie frowns, “Some friends you are. Wussies. Beverly would believe me.”
“N-N-Not e-even Ben w-would believe you, R-Richie.” Bill stutters. Walking to the front door, Richie shakes his head.
“I’m telling you, guys! I’m fucking telling you! I looked directly into them…Directly into her eyes! And I’m fine!” He grins, wildly, “I must be immune or something…” He adds quieter with a note of awe in his voice.
“Richie.” Stan starts, “Dude…You do realize (Lastname) isn’t actually a witch, right? It’s just some stupid rumor Henry started.”
“Oh, yeah? Then how will you explain the books she carries around, hmmm? Hmmm? Or those two nutjobs that always follow her around?” Richie narrows his eyes, “I rest my case.”
Stan shrugs, “They hang around her because she’s a sweet girl. And—“
“Sweet girl?!” Richie exclaims, “No…! Stan…Stanley, don’t tell me…She got you TOO?!”
“Oh fuck off, Richie.”
~*~
It’s late in the evening when your doorbell rings cheerily. Gwenda and Stacy had left barely twenty minutes ago; did they forget something?, you wonder as you move from the couch and turn off the TV. Your grandmother, from upstairs, yells instructions in Estonian and you vaguely register that she wants you to open the door.
“Oh, hello.” You greet, a note of uncertainty in your voice as you open the door wide and find the same boy you locked eyes with today nervously staring over your shoulder. It is a bit unusual to have a guest visit so late, much less a boy!, and you feel yourself grow uneasy. You flinch from the cold as it pools past your body and into your home. Richie fixes his glasses and clears his throat, but before he can speak you say, “Would you…like to come inside?”
“Oh, sure.”
You lock the door again, just like grandmother taught you, and curiously stare at the boy that takes his hat off to reveal curls of dark brown hair. The warmth of your house is pleasant to your exposed arms – you are wearing your PJ’s and only now do you find yourself mildly-embarrassed. Riche doesn’t care, perhaps he hadn’t realized yet, but you scurry and leave him alone for a moment to grab a blanket from the couch and wrap it around your shoulders, successfully hiding your body from prying eyes. “So…” You start, “What brings you here?”
“(Lastname), be honest with me.” Richie says, “Are you…” He glances away, checking out the interior of the house: old polished wood, a fire place, lots of dark green colors and carpets to match, pictures of a baby girl on the stairwell. “Are you really a witch?”
You blink. A wicked grin pinches your cheeks and with a sharp exhale you exclaim, “Alahazam!”
Richie jerks, startled, “Hey! Not fair, warn me next time!”
Again, an old though commanding voice from upstairs speaking a different native tongue calls for your attention and you direct it away from Richie; the boy himself shrinks in mild fear as he too looks up and into the darkness that pools from upstairs. You reply something, something foreign that he cannot understand and he gulps. Perhaps you really are a witch and that Alahazam bullshit really was some deadly spell you cast on him. And now he’s trapped. His vacation will go down the drain, naturally it already would’ve since he planned to spend it in the arcade, but now he will be stuck with you. Oh God…What if he becomes the next Gwenda and Stacy? Did you also trap them so skillfully, as you trapped him?
You give Richie a curious look, “It’s Estonian.” You explain. Richie snaps to you.
“I totally knew that.” Now he feels a bit stupid, “But you still didn’t answer me!”
“Did you turn to stone?” You question.
“No.”
“Then I’m not.”
“B-But!” You walk past him. He has no choice but to follow, “What if I’m immune, or something!”
“Then why are you complaining?” You reply with a smile, entering the kitchen and quickly maneuvering it. You hook your fingers on the handle of the white door that stands next to the fridge, open it and flick the light switch; the basement floods with dim yellow light and you look back at him, “You can wait here, if you want. I’ll just be a sec.” Richie shakes his head – no way is he staying in this house alone. He still doesn’t fully trust you or that voice from the second floor, but he will take his chances with you.
Honestly, what is he even doing here? He isn’t quite sure himself.
“They hang around her because she’s a sweet girl” Stan’s voice rings in his ear as he watches you slowly retreat into the basement; your steps creek once you walk on a loose stair. Huh. Perhaps Stan’s love confession for you was not entirely unexplainable. Okay, now he is really being stupid and risking that thing from upstairs snatching him whilst he’s daydreaming alone, so he hurries after you.
The basement is surprisingly cozy, as cozy as a basement can possibly be, that is. It’s warm here, so warm that he unzips his jacket since it starts getting hot. Dust tickles his nose. A few lamps lay in various places. Shelves stand tall and filled with trinkets and old things. Your bike sits hidden behind the couch that has a few pillows and blankets on it. His eyes shoot to the middle of the room as you make your way to the washing machines. A small table with few chairs and a game on its top sends Richie into a frenzy and he breaks into a grin, sprinting down the stairs so fast that you worry he might break his neck.
“Holy shit!” Richie says, eyeing the set-up before he looks at you by the washing bin, “You play Dungeons and Dragons?!”
With a shy smile you nod, “With my grandparents…Stacy and Gwenda don’t really like this game.”
“Damn, (Lastname), and I thought that all you had was Quiqa boards and humans organs.”
“Don’t you mean ‘Quija’ boards?” You correct him. He simply shrugs and examines the figures on the table. He frowns, softly. The campaign looks unfinished, like it was stopped in the middle of an intense battle. Dust had collected over spare days of not using it. Richie’s fingers pinch the small figure of a monster and he picks it up, inspects it in the light, “The—“
“-Demogorgon.” He finishes for you, sending a confused look your way, “Why didn’t you finish playing?”
“Oh.” The basket of clothes lays forgotten for a moment as you turn away from the washer, “Oh, uhm, my…grandmother fell sick, so…” You try to find the right words, “So we couldn’t finish it.” Richie gives you and unreadable look. He then puts the Demogorgon back.
“I’ll finish it with you.” Richie states and you blink. There is a sudden spur in your chest, one of happiness no doubt, but also of confusion and your brows twist; Richie knows you are about to question him, and he really does not want that because he isn’t sure himself. So he simply shrugs, “I’m pretty damn good at rolling dice and! And I have never lost a battle.”
“But…” You start, “It’s a bit late, so…wouldn’t your parents want you home?”
He shrugs again, completely dismissed and you realized you touched on a subject you shouldn’t have, “She won’t mind.” He says simply and sits down, “I’ll just tell her a witch put me under her spell and make a bunch of kissy faces.” He mimics a few ‘Muah muah’s and you giggle.
“They hang around her because she’s a sweet girl.”
Dear God, please please tell him that this tightness in his chest is a heart attack from eating too much sugar at Edds and not caused by some other fairly obvious reason. Also, please tell him that he and good boy Stanley won’t have to be rivals in this…Wait. Rivals in what?!
“Hey, (Lastname)?” Richie suddenly calls you. You hum, “You know Stanley Uris?”
The question catches you off guard, “Oh, uhm, well I only spoke with him a couple of times, so not really, no.”
He gives a stiff nod, “Don’t bother, then. He’s a total dick.”
end.
Oh No (A Soy Luna Next Gen Fanfic)
Hey there! Yes, an update, get your calendar and a red marker! Okay, this and the next chapter are more filler chapters but I wanted you to see the parents reaction in all its glory.
I know y'all want Matteo’s reaction (you will get it!) but I want it to be perfect and it isn’t yet. And I just really wanted to publish another chapter in 2017 so here you go :D
Have fun reading!!!
6. Windy
“Andrés should already be here by now,” Delfi said, after having checked the time being displayed on the oven.
Pedro shrugged, grabbing the salad bowl, walking out of the kitchen. “Maybe he got held up,” he suggested once he had put down the salad bowl on the table. Delfi followed him, forks and knives in hand. “He could have written a text by now! What if something happened?” she worried, adding cutlery besides the plates. “I doubt that,” Marina finally joined her parents conversation after she had left the kitchen too, sitting down, placing the lilac coca cola glass, which despite its name was filled with water, on her right.
The thirteen- year-old girl grinned as she loaded her plate with tamales. “He probably lost track of time while talking to Stella.” Ever since Andrés had mentioned that Stella was his skating partner, Marina was under the impression that there was something going on between them. Pedro had tried to talk her out of it, with no success, but, to be fair, his son’s suspicious behaviour lately didn’t help at all.
“It doesn’t have to be that,” Delfi said, after she had filled all their salad plates. Marina frowned at her mother’s words, eyes full of skepticism. “I’m pretty sure it’s that. He’s almost living in the Roller now,” she reasoned.
The Rollerband drummer really couldn’t remember a day where he had seen Andrés between school end and dinner during the last month, which was exactly the amount of time since Stella had become a part of the Roller team. A grin made its way onto Pedro’s face. “She’s right with that,” he agreed wholeheartedly. “Oh, you too?” his wife asked.
“Mom, believe me, the signs are all there. Nothing escapes my eye,” Marina answered confidently. Again, he agreed with his daughter. Andrés’ mood had been so much better those last few weeks and the only difference was Stella.
“It seems that I don’t notice much these days,” Delfi admitted begrudgingly. Marina started to grin. “And yet you’re the one co-running a lifestyle blog.” Pedro’s grin was identical, unable to hide his amusement.
“Okay,” Delfi turned her head to Pedro, about to add something, but before she could continue they heard the front door being opened.
Marina quickly turned around, checking the time on the clock, which hang on the wall behind her.
“He’s almost an hour late. Does that mean he’s getting grounded?” she asked a tad too excited. “Not if he has a good reason,” Pedro told her. “But he always has one,” their daughter pouted, crossing her arms.
“Look who’s finally cared to join us!” Marina grinned when Andrés opened the door. “Where were you?” Delfi asked, already interrogating their son. “On my way home,” he said totally unbothered, as if he wasn’t late, taking his seat across Marina. “It’s almost 9pm,” Pedro informed him.
Andrés sighed, still the right corner of his mouth turned upwards. “Well, it wouldn’t have taken as long if the paparazzi hadn’t chased me through half the city,” he told them, fixing himself a plate of tamales.
“They did what?” Delfi’s voice was an octave higher than usual. His mother’s reaction left Andrés unfazed, taking his first bite. “Why did they chase you though?” Marina wanted to know. “What do you think I’m not worthy enough of all the paparazzi’s attention?” her brother asked once he had swallowed. “Yes,” she answered honestly. Pedro knew that Marina never understood just what the media saw in Andrés. She was also glad that they spared her most of the time.
“What happened to your hair?” Marina asked, squinting her eyes. Pedro had been too lost in his owns thoughts to have notice that, but now that she had mentioned it, he totally saw it. The usually black hair didn’t look smooth at all now, almost as if someone had ruffled it. In Marina’s opinion the answer was crystal clear. “Bet Stella did that.” Was Pedro imaging things or was Andrés trying his hardest to suppress a smile? And did his eyes twinkle?
“It was windy,” was Andrés’ explanation. He then tried to fix his hair, failing mercilessly.
“I don’t think the wind did that,” Marina voiced her suspicion, having seen the ghost of a smile on her brother’s face too. The glare Andrés sent his sister only made her feel vindicated. “And what gave wannabe Sherlock this terrific insight?”
“Be nice to your sister,” Pedro chided. It only earned him an eye-roll from his son, while Delfi sent him an approving look.
“Well, Watson,” Marina gushed. Andrés rolled his eyes again. “Your hair never looked like this after we had ran from the paparazzi,” she pointed out. “As I said, it was windy.” Andrés suddenly found his plate very interesting. “You know, for someone who’s denying it, you’re talking to me in all caps!” By the time Marina had finished her sentence, a smug grin placed on her lips, Andrés had composed himself. His expression was unreadable now, somewhere between blank and not caring, whatever happiness he had earlier gone.
Once they had all finished eating, Andrés was the first to excuse himself, Marina following soon after. “Okay, who was that and what did he to Andrés?” Delfi asked, now that both their children had left for their rooms. Pedro replayed the last few minutes in his head. Something was very off. If Andrés really had been chased by the paparazzi he would have ranted about how much he hated them and everything Rollerband related.
“Well, I have a theory,” he said, as they cleared the table together. “Oh, I already know,” Delfi mumbled. “Would it be that bad?” he questioned, noticing his wife’s sudden mood change. “Everything’s happening so fast. Where did the time go?” she sighed. “I’m sure we’re not the only parents who feel like that,” Pedro assured her.
A loud plop interrupted their talk about their son’s probably very existing love life.
Pedro quickly got his phone from the couch, Delfi stayed behind in the kitchen, hoping it was not management. He really didn’t need an last-minute meeting. Or a new deadline. He opened his phone, to his relief the message was from Nico. However, his eyebrows furrowed together once he had read what his bandmate had written him.
“Pedro, get Andrés out of the county. Now!” read the top message. Pedro frowned. Why would Nico send him this? Another message from Gastón popped up. “This is going to be so much fun!!!” Pedro’s brow creased further. “Did you know of this?!” was sent from Jazmín.
Pedro still had no clue of what was going on, he tried to scroll up and find the source of this conversation, but new messages were sent every few seconds. This time it was a message from Jim. “This is great! Yam and I always hoped this would happen!”
“After my son, nothing surprises me anymore,” Nico admitted in his text. “Is Matteo still living?” Ramiro’s message read.
Just what had Matteo to do with this?
“MOM, DAD!!!” Marina suddenly screeched. It then only took their daughter a few seconds to storm into the living room, already wearing her blue mermaid Pj’s, which matched with her iPad case. “I told you, I knew it, I was right,” Marina did a little victory dance before holding up her iPad up, the screen showing towards her dad. Pedro didn’t have to read the headline or the article, the pictures of Andrés and Stella locking lips gave him all the information he needed.
There was no doubt that this was the topic their friends went crazy over.
“Ha, I knew it,” Pedro joined his daughter’s celebration. “Knew what?” Delfi asked, exiting the kitchen after having filled the dishwater machine, dishwater towel still in hand. “That Andrés’ happy mood involves a certain skating partner.” Delfi raised an eyebrow. “Are you saying that-” Marina had basically thrown the iPad into her mother’s face from all the excitement.
“Yes! Look at it! And they already have a ship name. This is the best,” Marina just wouldn’t stop talking. Pedro whistled. “How did he manage that?” he asked with a little disbelief, but still proud. “He didn’t get that from me,” the drummer clarified. As much as Delfi loved her husband, he was completely right with that. Andrés reminded her very much of her older brother, Darío, when he was younger, who had always been told he was like their father in that way. “Definitely the Alzamendi genes,” she agreed.
“This is the most exciting thing since, well, ever,” Marina exclaimed. “Too bad his door his locked,” she frowned, having hoped to get all her questions answered. Smart kid, Pedro thought. At least he was save from the waterfall of words coming out from his sister’s mouth.
Marina continued talking, he and Delfi shared a look, and after what felt like hours Marina remembered that she should go to bed.
“Why didn’t he tell us?” Delfi asked, when Marina was upstairs again, hurt by their son’s secrecy. “Because you would have bombarded him with questions,” Pedro tried to justify Andrés’ action. “Okay, maybe,” she admitted. “But I thought he hated her,” Delfi couldn’t help but add.
“There’s a fine line between love and hate.”
“So, you think he avoided her because he liked her?” Pedro nodded, “Could be”. In retrospect, it would make a lot of sense. “I knew he’d come around,” he added, “Oh, did you? Why?” Delfi crossed her arms. “You did with me?” His answer sounded more like a question, a lopsided grin on his face. “You can’t compare that,” she grumbled.
“Well, he didn’t speak to her for years because she threw flowers at him. You ignored me for years because I accidentally dropped a milkshake on you. He clearly got that holding grudges thing from you.” As much as Andrés looked like him, his personality was more like Delfi. Much to Pedro’s concern the media was weirdly fascinated it. The only one who was in a similar situation was Alicia, looking like her Ámbar but with Simón’s skin tone surely drove the media crazy. The two of them were constantly featured in literally every article on celebrities and their look a like children.
“It was hot chocolate,” Delfi said with clipped lips. Pedro tilted his head to the left. “See?” he grinned. Instead of replying Delfi rolled her eyes. She then fished her phone out of her jeans pocket, wanting to know what their friends had written.
“I’m going to kill Gastón,” were the first words Delfi spoke after she had checked her phone. Pedro had to suppress a laugh. “Let me guess, he bombarded the group chat?”
“Yes,” Delfi agreed, “but not only that, he already tweeted that he wants his money from that one bet.”
“Just take solace in that Gastón is only doing that to stop himself from crying because Stella and Luis won’t happen now,” Pedro chuckled. Delfi crossed her arms, “He better be. He annoyed everyone with that for years.”
“You’re just mad that you didn’t bet right,” Pedro stated with a laugh. “But laughing with your friends about Gastón,” she chided, hitting him lightly with the dishwater towel. “He was too desperate about it,” Pedro laughed. Really, he took it to another level. “You just can’t force some things.”
“At least I’ll get some money too,” he tried to lighten his wife’s mood, laughing, “You’re unbelievable,” Delfi mouthed, unable to hide a smile. Pedro started to chuckle. “And how funny is it that the guy we’ve pitied for years in advance turns out to be our son?” It was their friends (especially Gastón’s) favourite way to get a rise out of Matteo. Delfi’s features darkened. “If Matteo tries anything, I’ll kill him,” she declared. Pedro sighed. His wife had always been very protective of their kids. Especially of Andrés because, being basically the younger version of him, the media was much more interested in him.
“Well, he hasn’t shown up at our house yet,” Pedro laughed, phone still in hand, proceeding to type exactly that into the writing box, hitting send.
“Bro, don’t jinx it,” was sent immediately from Simón. “I honestly wouldn’t put it past him,” Gastón didn’t see the need to defend his best friend, vividly remembering a certain conversation he had with Matteo about his cousin Flor.
On second thought, Pedro really wouldn’t put it past Matteo either. He double checked if front door was locked that night.
Stay-At-Home Mother’s Day Gift Ideas
Sharing a stay-at-home Mother’s Day gift guide with lots of ideas for the women and caretakers we love so much.
Hi friends! How’s the day treating you so far? I hope you’re having a good morning. The weather has been warming up a ton here in Tucson, so the girls have been staying cool by playing with the hose, the unicorn sprinkler, and I ordered them a little inflatable pool that should be here today. If this continues, we’ll be hopping the wall at my parents’ houses to use their pools.
I was brainstorming Mother’s Day ideas since it’s just around the corner. It’s going to be a different kind of Mother’s Day this year and some of the things I’d usually request (a great restaurant brunch, nap, get-together with our whole family, and a spa service gift card!) are pretty much off the table for now. I thought I’d share some of the ideas I’ve thought of if you’re trying to plan something special, or if you want to send it along to the hubby as a “wink-wink, here are some ideas” kinda thing. There are lots of lower-cost and free options included in this gift guide, too. I’d love any ideas you have for Mother’s Day (especially for our moms and grandmothers!) during this weirdo time.
Stay-At-Home Mother’s Day Gift Ideas
The daily uniform! Fashion is a liiiiittle different (at least for me!) these days. I’m living in loungewear and athletic clothes. Here are some of my fave picks:
Athletic clothes:
– My fave sneakers ever. I wear them for workouts and for life. The kids also have pairs and LOVE them. The kids’ ones wash extremely well – I throw them in the washer and let them air dry- and they’ll continue to be their go-to sneakers when/if we ever go back to school. *laugh emoji* *cry emoji*
– These are the best everyday tees. I have so many of them and they’re awesome for lounging/everyday. If you’re in between sizes for lululemon, definitely size down (I wear a 4 or 6 in lulu and order 4s for these).
– Athletic shorts that aren’t too short and are available in different colors and patterns. I’m wearing these in the color Cassis while I write this post. I also got paint on them during our cabinet painting, which is totally my fault, but still a bummer.
– The best leggings!! They’re not see-through, are supportive, and have a super flattering high waist.
– Lightweight workout tanks.
– New sunglasses.
– A comfy tie dye sweatshirt. These are all the rage right now and I’m HERE for it.
Comfy pajamas and loungewear:
– The best everyday summer pajamas. I have a few pairs of these and love that they feel put-together (like hey, my pajamas match! #littlewins) but are very comfortable and practical.
– A simple nightgown.
– Cute cactus PJs.
– Slippers. These ones are water resistant and feel like walking on clouds.
– A new robe.
– A baseball cap.
Beauty + spa at home:
Moms love Beautycounter! This is such a great opportunity to try out some of our bestsellers for yourself, or gift them to someone you love.
My top picks:
– A neutral palette that can be used for daytime or nighttime looks.
– Our all-new Vitamin C serum. It has two ultra-stable forms of Japanese vitamin C to help brighten skin and reduce age spots. It also contains antioxidants to help protect the skin and gives an awesome dewy glow.
– Our top two sellers: the charcoal mask and the overnight peel.
– The most luxurious night cream.
– Color Intense Lipsticks (brunch is my go-to pink nude color!)
– Melting body balm. This smells beautiful is a nice way to hydrate hands with the constant hand washing.
** Everything on the site is safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding. We also have a generous 60-day return policy if for some reason you don’t like your purchase! If you place an order over $50, it’s worth it to join Band of Beauty. It’s like our version of Nordstrom Rewards or Amazon Prime. It’s $29 for the year and you get free shipping on orders over $100, 10% back in product credit, and a free gift on product purchase over $50 when you join. (It’s the charcoal mask this month!) Click here to check it out.
– Static Nails liquid glass lacquer. I’ve been using this for the last couple of months and love it! Their polish is vegan, cruelty-free, nontoxic, and also has healing ingredients, like coconut oil, rosehip oil, and green tea. It doesn’t last quite as long as the advertised “Up to 10 days!” but I find I can go about a week without extremely noticeable chipping. (I CAN’T WAIT to get dip polish again!)
– Silk hair ties. These don’t damage hair or leave a giant ponytail crease.
– A Dyson airwrap. This is a huge expense but everyone I know that has one raves about it.
– These “pack your bags” undereye patches. These are my go-to when I wake up with bags or feeling sleepy.
– A jade roller and gua sha set. I notice a huge decrease in swelling and puffiness when I use these!
– Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Set.
– A CBD gift set. CBD is saaaaaaving me right now, especially on the nights where I still feel wound up and like I won’t be able to fall asleep. The oil under my tongue instantly calms me. CBD does NOT get you high or impair you in any way, and can help to decrease inflammation in the body. It’s help a ton with my anxiety! Check it out here and enter the code FITNESSISTA for an extra 15% off. (I love the flavored oil drops!)
– This sleep mask! They’re a bit pricey but I’ve had mine for a couple of years and it’s still in great shape.
Jewelry and personalized gift ideas:
– A mantraband for a boost of hope and positivity.
– A beautiful birthstone bracelet.
– A hand-illustrated family portrait. Ughh I love this!
– A gorgeous letter necklace.
– A floral pendant necklace.
– Muud handmade earrings. This is my SIL’s (Meg’s!) new business and she makes the most gorgeous handmade clay earrings. She’ll be doing another drop on her IG page this Friday at 2pm PST, so be sure to snag some for yourself or for a gift! She’s doing some beautiful shimmery moons and rainbows.
Tasty treats + experience ideas:
– Write her a nice note/card/text message. My friend sent the sweetest supportive text message (short and sweet, like, “Hey, I know you have a lot going on, but you’re crushing it and I love you”) and it made me cry. Supportive words mean the world, especially right now with everything going on.
– A future date! Plan out something in the future for when things settle down again.
– Order brunch or dinner take-out from her favorite restaurant.
– Husbands can offer to watch the kiddos for a couple of hours so mom can nap or take a walk/drive by herself for a bit.
– Draw a bath. Tom did this for me when we were in Valdosta and it was amaaaaazing. He knew I had a hard day, so he filled up the bathtub with a bath bomb, set out a glass of champagne, strawberries, and chocolate, and lit candles. It was such a beautiful act of care and something that didn’t cost any money.
– Leave a bouquet of flowers or succulents and some chocolates on the doorstep! (Going to do this for some friends with a mini bottle of champagne.)
– Order some tasty desserts or treats from somewhere she loves!
– Daily Harvest. These have been SO incredible over the past couple of months, especially for quick and healthy breakfast and lunch options. The smoothies are my very fave, but I also love the flatbreads, bowls, soups, and overnight oats. Check it out here and enter the code FITNESSISTA for $25 off your first box.
What are you going to do for Mother’s Day this year? Any gift ideas or something that’s on your personal wish list?
xoxo
Gina
Pregnant Amal Clooney dazzles in $5,400 red dress
She’s an incredibly smart human rights lawyer who gives the Duchess of Cambridge a run for her money when it comes to style clout. Oh, and she’s also married to George Clooney.
From the office to the red carpet, and everywhere in between, we take a look at some of Amal Clooney’s best style moments.
Let us know what you think by tweeting @YahooStyleCA!
Ringing in spring in floral shoes
On March 29, the 39-year-old human rights lawyer gave a speech at London’s Chatham House addressing war crimes in Syria and Iraq. For the occasion, the soon-to-be mom of twins stepped out in a stunning crimson red vintage Dior dress that reportedly costs around $5,400 CAD. She kept her outerwear neutral with a $3,700 Balmain trench coat and finished the look off with a pair of $550 floral Oscar de la Renta pumps, which she’s worn before. (Photo via Splash News)
In New York
Leave it to Clooney to brighten up a dreary winter day. While walking to the UN in New York on March 9, she dazzled in a matching dress and coat combination, finished off with chic pumps and her signature shades. (Photo via Splash News)
Out and about in London
Photographed for the first time since the world found out her and husband George Clooney are expecting twins, Clooney looked stunning a a bright red coat, motorcycle boots and a simple grey dress.
At LAX
Talk about sophisticated yet comfy travel style! While jetting off with husband George Clooney, Amal opted for chic leather pants, a fun “Sunday” sweater and a neutral coat with fur detailing. Of course, the oversized look kept persistent pregnancy rumours afloat, but whether she’s expecting or not (and really, it’s not our business!), this travel look is all kinds of #StyleGoals. Premiere of ‘The White Helmets’
Amal Clooney certainly knows how to rock cold weather florals. While attending the premiere of the Netflix documentary “The White Helmets” in London, the gorgeous human rights lawyer stepped out in a chic floral sheath by Dolce & Gabbana. She paired the pretty frock with textured black tights and ankle boots, and wore her hair in loose waves. It’s not the first time she’s worn the dress, either -- she was also seen sporting it in October 2015. (Photo by Getty Images)
Date night with George Clooney
For a night out in Santa Monica, Clooney showed off her abs in a sexy black lace crop paired with jeans, studded Balenciaga sandals and a black jacket.
In stripes on the ‘Suburbicon’ set
At first glance, it looks like the outfit Amal wore to visit her husband on the set of “Suburbicon” is a striped maxi dress -- but it’s actually a lovely jumpsuit by Tome. Clooney let the jumpsuit do the talking, keeping the rest of her look neutral with Linda Farrow aviators, Jimmy Choo sandals and a crossbody bag. However, if you’re hoping to snap up this sweet outfit, it’s going to cost a pretty penny -- the jumpsuit alone retails for around $1,400 CAD. (Photos by Splash News)
On the set of ‘Suburbicon’ in Los Angeles
While visiting husband George on set of “Suburbicon,” which he is directing, Amal Clooney gave off some serious vintage vibes in a pair of Alice & Olivia embroidered flares and a mustard yellow long-sleeve top. (Photo by Splash News)
At Hollywood’s Night Under The Stars
Who says a night out at a Hollywood party has to involve a skintight dress and sky high heels? While attending Hollywood’s Night Under The Stars, Clooney combined comfy-looking printed silk palazzo pants with a shoulder-baring crop top. (Photo by Todd Williamson/Getty Images for MPTF)
Printed pants
To keep things from looking too casual, Amal accessorized with daring drop earrings, bouncy curls and a smokey eye. (Photo by Todd Williamson/Getty Images for MPTF)
In New York
Lady in red! Clooney was spotted in Manhatten looking stunning in a knee-length red wrap dress with tie-waist detailing and bell sleeves. She finished off the look with a classic black bag, her signature cat eye sunglasses and neutral pumps. (Photo by Josiah Kamau/BuzzFoto via Getty Images)
Leaders’ Summit on Refugees at the U.N. General Assembly
A printed Alexander McQueen to the U.N. seems like a bold choice for the U.N., but the glamorous human rights lawyer totally makes it work. (Photo by Peter Foley - Pool/Getty Images)
Out and about in New York City
Clooney showed us how easy it is to mix patterns for the office in these checkered pants combined with a stunning brocade coat. To keep things from being too over-the-top, she kept her accessories neutral -- opting for pointed toe flats, a white carry all and cat eye sunnies. (Photo by Michael Stewart/GC Images)
Leaving their hotel in Rome
Umm...#travelwardrobegoals? While George went for our typical airport attire in a T-shirt and jeans, we seriously want to step up our travel style game after seeing Amal’s lace shirt dress. (Photo by Splash News)
The 20/20 Rule to Live By To Dress My Dad Body
When I say 20/20, i don't mean perfect vision. It's a rule of thumb which I personally use in order for me to not have too many clothes and work with what i have.
I used to be very particular about fashion and what to wear even way before I became a Dad. I always like putting a bit of extra effort in making sure that my appearance looks good as it makes me feel good inside. Don’t hoard a closet… use the rule of 20. You do not need more than a maximum of 20 pieces of each kind of apparel whether it maybe some formal suits, shirts, t-shirts, pants, shorts, shoes, socks, underwear, belts, jackets, ties or sunglasses.
I use to model for a few companies when I was younger and learned a few rules to live by in order to dress to impress. It is just a few tricks that will help you in mixing and matching your current wardrobe and making you look and feel awesome. Use your imagination, see what your wife digs you in, and work with it.
My Basic Wardrobe Essential Guide and rules to live by:
Shoes and Belt– Always wear comfy shoes as this will always keep you in a good mood. Invest in good casual shoes that will match most outfits like the color black, brown, blue, gray and maroon. For formal shoes, the regular black and brown is always in need. Rubber shoes and walking shoes are always a must. And whatever shoes you plan to wear, always make sure that the belt matches (try the same color) as it always makes any outfit look awesome.
Socks and Handkerchief- Every gentleman brings a handkerchief wherever he goes in order to take care of sweaty situations. Have a little fun and go with some bold statement socks as to know it matches your personality. Just make sure that it fits the outfit and doesn’t make it look odd.
Formal Shirts– I love formal shirts that feel comfortable and in which my skin can breathe in. You wear these shirts at amazing occasions and it will always keep you in a good mood if the clothes are something you like and enjoy. Pick seven shirts for work, seven for an evening night out with a special someone and the balance 6 for special dress up occasions. Here is a simple tip which I have always used, make sure the buttons are the same color as the shirt, it just makes it look more formal (white buttons doesn’t really do it). Pick light pastel colors for work, bolder statement designs for a night out and brighter colors for special occasions.
T-shirts and Polo Shirts– we are all so guilty of have a zillion t-shirts in the house that we never use. We usually just buy them because they are not so expensive or we got it as a gift from a few friends and family members. Try to stick to the 20 rule, but 20 for sleeping, 20 for chilling in the house and 20 for going out. (That’s 60 in total, start to give away the rest if you have more than this, especially the ones that are worn out and deformed). I know we tend to keep these as sometimes it has a lot of emotional attachment to it but it will be better to share and give it to people who need clothes and cannot afford them. Sharing is caring and will bring humanity forward. The more you give, the more the universe will give back to you.
Suits– where do I start with this as I love to suit up, try to divide these into work suits and dress suits if possible and match to the formal shirts you have. Once you are done with that, match ties that fit your personality. Do not over accessorize, just have a few tie pins and cuffs that match the suit and its done. You must own at least one tuxedo.
Jackets– stick to the rule and wear what fits you. If you have expanded or contracted thru the years, upgrade as styles are changing. A few sports jackets, one movie jacket, one trench coat, and some funky jackets (like a winter jacket if you are travelling to a cold country) are more than enough for a proper wardrobe.
Shorts– As time is changing, buy the shorts that can transition thru time. Best is to stick with basic colors (Black, White, Blue and Gray) are always a must. Anything beyond that will really only come and go.
Undergarments– Buy the ones that are comfy and make you feel great. It can be from boxers to briefs, as long as your comfy, get it. Again, anything beyond 20 is too much. Best to go with your partner to shop for this, women knows quality underwear best.
Neckties-- This is my weakness, i can never have enough neckties. I have a drawer full of them and many of my family members come to me to borrow a tie. I have learned thru the years that it just isn't a different tie that makes the look different but rather on how it is done. There are so many videos on YouTube that let you learn how to tie it differently. Practice, and try to have it ready before an event as this can take time to fix.
Caps and Hats- if your a sports fan, i am sure you will have a bunch of caps in your wardrobe. Try to limit yourself from buying things that you hardly use and just keep to the basic. Also always consider how it would look on what you wear. Finally, remember that caps always tend to make your hair look flat so if you have issues in fixing your hair, just don't wear a cap or hat.
Sunglasses and Eyeglasses-- living in the Philippines, sunglasses is a must. Think about which one suits you best. Get one metal one for formals and one plastic one for everyday use. You may wish to keep a bunch of them but just make sure that they are kept clean and inside the case so that it will be scratch free.
Watches, Chains and other accessories-- Watches are always an investment, so choose the right ones that fit your personality. Nothing too flashy and nothing too heavy. Make sure that you are not allergic to any material before buying and investing in these accessories.
Man Bags/ Back packs / Gym Bags -- in this day and age, as i am a dad, the only bag i carry is my baby's carry bag. But even if its a baby bag, we made sure it looked like a Man Back Pack which looks so much better and easier to handle.
Sportswear-- if you go to the gym or into any type of sport, invest a bit in the apparel. It will give you a better result and you will enjoy the sport more. Try to use it only for the sports and do not try mixing it with all your regular wear.
Swimwear-- yes, we all must have board shorts with us especially if we love going to the beach. Keep a few, and do not keep using the same one for more than 3 years. It is okay to spend on yourself at times, look good and feel great.
Sleepwear-- if your not into pj's, simple shorts and t-shirt is a good substitute which can be super comfortable. Just remember to wear something that looks appropriate so just in case an "Act of God" happens, you still look and feel decent.
Cellphone accessories-- just get a black back cover for your phone, and your done. If you are into movies, you may wish to purchase something related to the movie you like but do not over do it. It becomes a waste once you sell the phone and upgrade to a new one.
Cultural wear/ costumes-- the barong tagalog, or for me being Indian, i have a lot of Indian wear that is in my closet. Words of advice: Do not over buy as you hardly get to use these. Just buy what is needed and have an extra spare for just in case.
Towels-- yes, we do not share this to the world but we do hoard a lot of these. Keep a maximum of 20, you are not going to need more than that for sure. Please do not keep this on you while walking around the house, it looks weird unless you do not have anything else to wear.
Pens-- i love to bring a pen along wherever I go. It helps me if i need to write something down or help someone who is in need of a pen. If you have a personalized one, that is awesome. Just make sure it functions well and does not blot or ink your hands.
Your mood and personality has always have to match what you plan to wear. I plan to cover all these items one by one in detail in my future blogs. Just remember, whatever you wear, you need to make it look good on you. There is no way that clothes make the man, but man always makes a way to rock these clothes.
Amal Clooney’s maternity style is already incredible
She’s an incredibly smart human rights lawyer who gives the Duchess of Cambridge a run for her money when it comes to style clout. Oh, and she’s also married to George Clooney.
From the office to the red carpet, and everywhere in between, we take a look at some of Amal Clooney’s best style moments.
Let us know what you think by tweeting @YahooStyleCA!
Out and about in Paris
While heading out for a day in Paris, Clooney wooed us yet again with her impossibly chic maternity style. She combined a floral printed dress with a taupe embellished coat and finished things off with over-the-knee leather boots and sunglasses, of course. (Photo by Mehdi Taamallah/Nurphoto)
Arriving at The Ritz in Paris
If you’re a fan of Amal’s coordinted dress and coat, we’ve got some bad news -- the likelihood of you snapping one up is pretty slim. The 39-year-old stepped out on Feb. 25 in this vintage ‘60s look. At the 2017 Cesar Film Awards
We were heartbroken that this stylish pair didn’t walk the Oscars red carpet on Feb. 26 -- but luckily they indulged us by attending the Cesar Awards in Paris two days prior. While George looked dapper in a black suit and bowtie, Amal sparkled in a bump-hugging white Atelier Versace gown with an ombre feathered bottom. Perfection! (Photo by Rindoff/Charriau/Getty Images)
In stripes on the ‘Suburbicon’ set
At first glance, it looks like the outfit Amal wore to visit her husband on the set of “Suburbicon” is a striped maxi dress -- but it’s actually a lovely jumpsuit by Tome. Clooney let the jumpsuit do the talking, keeping the rest of her look neutral with Linda Farrow aviators, Jimmy Choo sandals and a crossbody bag. However, if you’re hoping to snap up this sweet outfit, it’s going to cost a pretty penny -- the jumpsuit alone retails for around $1,400 CAD. (Photos by Splash News)
Amal Clooney’s maternity style is already incredible
She’s an incredibly smart human rights lawyer who gives the Duchess of Cambridge a run for her money when it comes to style clout. Oh, and she’s also married to George Clooney.
From the office to the red carpet, and everywhere in between, we take a look at some of Amal Clooney’s best style moments.
Let us know what you think by tweeting @YahooStyleCA!
Out and about in Paris
While heading out for a day in Paris, Clooney wooed us yet again with her impossibly chic maternity style. She combined a floral printed dress with a taupe embellished coat and finished things off with over-the-knee leather boots and sunglasses, of course. (Photo by Mehdi Taamallah/Nurphoto)
Arriving at The Ritz in Paris
If you’re a fan of Amal’s coordinted dress and coat, we’ve got some bad news -- the likelihood of you snapping one up is pretty slim. The 39-year-old stepped out on Feb. 25 in this vintage ‘60s look. At the 2017 Cesar Film Awards
We were heartbroken that this stylish pair didn’t walk the Oscars red carpet on Feb. 26 -- but luckily they indulged us by attending the Cesar Awards in Paris two days prior. While George looked dapper in a black suit and bowtie, Amal sparkled in a bump-hugging white Atelier Versace gown with an ombre feathered bottom. Perfection! (Photo by Rindoff/Charriau/Getty Images)
Out and about in London
Photographed for the first time since the world found out her and husband George Clooney are expecting twins, Clooney looked stunning a a bright red coat, motorcycle boots and a simple grey dress.
At LAX
Talk about sophisticated yet comfy travel style! While jetting off with husband George Clooney, Amal opted for chic leather pants, a fun “Sunday” sweater and a neutral coat with fur detailing. Of course, the oversized look kept persistent pregnancy rumours afloat, but whether she’s expecting or not (and really, it’s not our business!), this travel look is all kinds of #StyleGoals. Premiere of ‘The White Helmets’
Amal Clooney certainly knows how to rock cold weather florals. While attending the premiere of the Netflix documentary “The White Helmets” in London, the gorgeous human rights lawyer stepped out in a chic floral sheath by Dolce & Gabbana. She paired the pretty frock with textured black tights and ankle boots, and wore her hair in loose waves. It’s not the first time she’s worn the dress, either -- she was also seen sporting it in October 2015. (Photo by Getty Images)
