My fannon Joker-Riddler dinamic is that they work as foils in the sense that Joker only pretends to have no control over his mental faculties while Edward only pretends to have control over his.

#dc #fannon rogues #batman rogues #fannon #edward nygma #riddler #joker #joker is the comedian who plans small unique divergences on his shows to look like improvise #he presents different spetacles with similar lines to appear random but he planned them all before because a good entertainer plans #he scripts his jokes and evil deeds #he may improvise if need be but he is a planner #riddler plans his acts to be adaptative #because his acts only exist as a physical representation of his compulsions he can't plan for the voices in his head #he pretends that the new sudden compulsion to move a paw when the horse had the perfect moviment is a strategy #and he wons by convincing the oponent that this is the case #he specially tries to convince himself that it's a strategy #it isn't #it's not that edward is a bad strategist nor that joker is a bad improviser #edward is a master strategist #and joker is king improviser #but they can't do it #edward can't strategise because everything he does works in fuction of his OCD tho he lies to himself it doesn't #and joker can't because while he wants to be seen as random and insane his actions are motivated by his end goals #he has to carefully plan his acts to get what he wants #batman takes a loong time to realize it #he is completly fooled by their acts #when realization hits bruce he is shock #batman
