Beneath the streetlamp
While walking the streets of London, Y/n Shelby unexpectedly encounters a grief-stricken Luca Changretta. As Luca reveals the pain driving his revenge against the Shelbys, y/n offers him quiet compassion.
content includes: Mentions of angels, slight violence, Y/n is referred to as a woman, Y/n has a complex relationship with Luca.
Y/n walked the dimly lit streets of London, her footsteps echoing softly against the cobblestones. The city had a way of feeling both alive and desolate at night, the flickering gas lamps casting long shadows that danced along the walls of the narrow alleyways. She had no particular destination in mind, simply wandering to clear her thoughts, to momentarily escape the constant tension that surrounded the Shelby family.
As she turned a corner, her heart skipped a beat. Standing under the faint glow of a streetlamp was Luca Changretta, his figure unmistakable even from a distance. He was smoking, the ember of his cigarette glowing red in the darkness. Y/n’s first instinct was to turn back, to avoid any confrontation, but she had barely taken a step when she heard his voice.
“Y/n,” Luca called out, his tone almost casual, as if they were old friends meeting by chance.
She froze, cursing her luck. There was no escape now. Reluctantly, she turned to face him, forcing a calm expression as she approached.
“Luca,” she greeted him, her voice steady. She kept her distance, though, her eyes never leaving his.
He smiled at her, a cold, almost predatory smile, but there was something behind it—something darker, more tormented. “Out for a stroll?” he asked, taking another drag from his cigarette.
Y/n nodded, keeping her answers short. “Yes, just needed some air.”
Luca exhaled the smoke slowly, watching her with those sharp eyes of his. “A dangerous time to be out alone, don’t you think?”
She didn’t rise to the bait. Instead, she looked at him directly and asked, “Are you going to kill me now?”
Luca’s smile widened, but there was no warmth in it. “No, not tonight.”
They stood there in a tense silence, the distant sounds of the city barely reaching them. Y/n waited, sensing that Luca had more to say. She knew that despite his casual demeanor, there was a storm brewing inside him.
He broke the silence first. “Do you know why I’m doing all this, Y/n? Why I came here, why I won’t stop until every Shelby is dead?”
Y/n said nothing, simply watching him. She had heard it all before—revenge, blood for blood. It was the code they all lived by, the cycle of violence that seemed never-ending.
Luca’s expression darkened, and for the first time, Y/n saw a flicker of vulnerability in his eyes. “Arthur killed my father,” he said, his voice low and filled with anger. “He took him from me. And now I’m going to take everything from him.”
Y/n remained silent, though she felt a pang of sorrow for him. She understood his pain, his desire for vengeance. But she also knew that nothing good would come of it.
Luca’s composure suddenly shattered. His face twisted with emotion as he began to cry, his tears mingling with a bitter smile. He looked like a man unraveling, caught between rage and despair.
Y/n watched quietly, her heart heavy. This was not the Luca Changretta she had expected to see—a cold-blooded killer, yes, but this? This was a man broken by grief, consumed by the need to avenge his father.
Without thinking, Y/n reached out, her hand gently resting on Luca’s tear-streaked cheek. He flinched at her touch but didn’t pull away. Instead, he suddenly grabbed her, burying his face against her stomach as he sobbed.
Y/n stood there, looking down at him, her hand still on his face. She didn’t say anything, didn’t try to comfort him with words. She knew that sometimes, words only made things worse.
As Luca cried, he looked up at her with red-rimmed eyes, a strange, almost pleading look on his face. “Are you an angel?” he whispered, his voice trembling. “Are you an angel sent down by God to make me feel alive?”
Y/n smiled, but it was a sad, pitiful smile. She didn’t know what to say to that—how could she, when the man in front of her was so lost, so desperate for something, anything, to ease his pain?
“Pray,” she told him softly, her voice barely above a whisper.
Luca nodded, as if in a trance, and he began to pray, his words flowing in Italian. Y/n didn’t understand all of it, but she could hear the anguish in his voice, the way he begged for some kind of solace, some kind of peace.
When he finished, he looked at her with a mix of hope and despair. Y/n knew she should walk away, leave him to his grief and his madness. But something kept her there, rooted to the spot, her hand still holding his face.
“What do you want?” she asked, using the ability she didn’t fully understand herself.
Luca blinked, as if startled by the question. He seemed to think for a moment, his gaze dropping to her lips. “A kiss,” he said finally, his voice barely audible.
Y/n hesitated, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew she should refuse, should walk away before this went any further. But then she saw the look in Luca’s eyes—how broken he was, how much he needed something, anything, to hold on to.
Still holding his face, she leaned in, her lips brushing against his. It was a soft, almost chaste kiss, but it lingered, a moment of fleeting connection between two lost souls.
When she pulled back, Luca’s eyes were still closed, as if savoring the moment. Then, slowly, he opened them, and the cold, dangerous Luca Changretta was back.
“Do you still want to kill me?” Y/n asked, her voice quiet.
“Yes,” Luca replied without hesitation, though there was a softness in his tone that hadn’t been there before.
Y/n nodded, letting go of his face. “Then remember that,” she said, her voice tinged with sadness, before turning and walking away, leaving Luca alone with his demons.

Darkness of the Night (3)
CATCH UP ON HIS STORY HERE
Meet Samuel, the resident Vampire of New Shoreham… and come along on the journey of his wild life in the afterlife
Warnings: Brotherly fighting, mention of death
Sam had never utilized the speed in which his body moved since he was turned until now. His legs carried him at lightening speed and he was thankful that it was still nightfall as no one could see the speed he was moving. His chest heaved as he rounded the last corner and the duplex that he shared with Josh came into view. Sam swallowed hard around the lump in his throat as he ascended the three concrete steps that led to his front door and took note of how the door was left slightly ajar.
He couldn’t deny the sounds of a scuffle deep within his half of the house, slowly making his way through his living room and into his relaxation room. His eyes widened at the sight of his second eldest - and Josh’s identical twin - brother Jake, pinning Josh against the wall. Jakes expression was one of disappointment, anger, and upset; an expression Sam had never seen grace his elder brothers face. Sam took a step forward and shoved his arm in between the twins, trying to break the grasp that Jake had on Josh’s shirt collar.
“What the hell, Jake?” Sam barked, wrapping his hand around Jake’s wrist and pulled Josh free of his brothers grasp. Jakes wild gaze found Sam’s and he charged his youngest brother, backing him into the corner next to the couch your body was lying on. He reached up and pressed his arm across Sam’s chest, feebly holding him in place as he pointed down at your body lying lifelessly across the couch.
“What the hell, Jake? The fuck you mean what the hell, Jake? WHAT THE HELL, SAMMY?! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HER?!”
Sam reached up and wrapped his hands around Jakes wrists, pulling them off of his chest and pinned them down against his sides, effortlessly lifting Jakes body so they were eye to eye. Jake reared his head back and threw it forward, attempting to head butt Sam. The younger boy rolled his eyes and spun on his heel, pressing Jakes back against the wall he was just pinned against.
“What have I done to who, Jake? Iris? The random girl that strolled into my diner?” Sam kept his voice steady, not wanting to anger his brother any further. Jake huffed out an annoyed breath and his eyes cut to where you laid, tears beginning to pool against his bottom lids.
“Iris? Who the fuck is Iris? That’s Vayda…” Jake mumbled as realization washed over his body. He had known as soon as he laid his palm against your cheek and felt the icy chill your skin held, the way your pulse no longer beat beneath the skin of your neck that you were no longer his Vayda. He hadn’t wanted to believe what he saw laid out in front of him until he got confirmation from Sam.
“Vayda? That’s that’s her name? You know her?” Sam asked, swallowing hard as his gaze darted between Jake and your body. Jake nodded and began to fight against the way Sam was holding him, trying to get his feet back on the ground.
“Do I fucking know her. Her name is Vayda… she’s…” Jake swallowed hard, trying to keep his composure and the super natural anger he felt bubbling in his veins at bay.
“She’s my mate…” Jake mumbled and pulled his hand upward, trying with all he could to land a punch into Sam’s gut.
“We got into it earlier, she snapped because she was frustrated with work and I fed into it when I shouldn’t have. She took off and when she wasn’t back by sundown, my instincts told me something was wrong and I looked for her on life360. Imagine my surprise when I pinged her phone and I find her here. I thought I was seeing things. Vayda doesn’t even know who you two are let alone where to find you so why is she where she doesn’t fucking belong. What have you done to her?!” The shell of Sam’s heart broke in his chest and he let go of Jake, dropping him to the floor and he bent at the knee, kneeling down beside where your body lay.
“You’re… mate? I killed your fucking mate…” Realization washed over Sam as what Jake said sunk into his mind. She wasn’t a random girl at the diner, she was Jakes mate.
“You… killed her?!” Jake voice rose as he stood to his full height once more and stood toe to toe with his younger brother. His hands rested in balled fists against his sides and he began to clench and unclench them as he weighed the pros and cons of trying to sock his brother in the jaw.
“I didn’t kill her per se. She is merely other worldly like you are now…” Sam mumbled and reached up, rubbing his hand soothingly along the back of his neck.
Jake saw red as his blood began to boil and he reached up, wrapping his hands as tightly as he could around Sam’s throat. Sam grimaced against the smell that permeated off of Jake, that of sulfur and wet soil, but Jake couldn’t be bothered to worry about the ways in which he was making his younger brother uncomfortable. A sigh slipped past Sam’s nose, a tactic to try and cover up the stench, and he reached up, wrapping his hands as gently as he could around Jakes wrists and tugged.
“I’d suggest you don’t do that, unless you want your neck snapped.” Sam’s voice was steady and stern as he pushed Jake back as hard as he could and sent him stumbling into the desk behind him.
As the shock of seeing his brothers physically brawl wore off, Josh shook his head and took a few steps forward; ultimately angling his body between those of his brothers. Sam’s eyes softened as he looked down at Josh and a flash of regret danced across the fledglings eyes, knowing now he had screwed up on and even more intense level. Reaching up Josh tipped Sam’s head back, trying to assess the already fading red marks where Jake had held him.
“I’ll be fine, it takes more than that to harm the undead.” Sam muttered and nodded in Jakes direction.
Jake sat cross legged on the floor with his back pressed against the desk he had just careened into. His elbows rested against his knees and his hands covered his face as sobs violently shook his shoulders. A soft sigh slipped past Josh’s lips as he knelt down next to Jake and placed a comforting hand against his back.
“Jake I… I don’t know what to say.” Josh mumbled and shot a concerned look up at Sam who shrugged his shoulders idly and watched as Josh tried to comfort Jake.
“You could have fucking stopped it. You could have told him no!” Jake snapped and moved forward, shaking Josh’s hand off of his back. Josh’s eyes grew wide and he sat back on his knees, his eyes now darting between both of his brothers.
“You really think I’d let him turn someone? I was unaware anything was happening until he called me because he was in trouble. And it’s seems like he’s in worse trouble than we originally thought.” Josh huffed an exasperated breath though his nose as his blood began to boil and anger began to overtake his rational thoughts.
“What’s done is done, Jake. There’s nothing anyone can do. She’s now one of them and when she wakes up she’s going to be starved. I’d suggest you be far away from her when that happens. Unless you’re rest to turn in your wings for porcelain skin.” Josh mumbled and pushed to his feet, closing the distance between him and your sleeping form. He let his hand fall, landing gently against your chilled cheek and he sighed as the realization of just how real this was washed over him.
“You promised me, Sam. When you first came back to us… you promised me… you promised us that you would never hurt a human, would never turn a human. And yet here we are, my mate “asleep” on your couch but she won’t be waking up the same. You took my fucking future from me and you don’t even have a single drop of remorse in your body, do you? You KILLED MY MATE SAM! Do you understand the weight of what you’ve done? What do I tell mom or her family? Do I report her as missing to make this more believable? What do I DO SAM?! How do you plan on fixing this?”
Sam pulled a deep breath in and reached up, pinching the bridge of his nose between his thumb and index finger. What he thought was a small mistake he could hide from the masses quickly became something he wasn’t even sure how he would fix. With a soft shake of his head, he shrugged his shoulders and turned his attention back to Jake.
“I. Don’t. Know. But now that I know she’s connected to you… Jake, I’m sorry I just… I don’t know what to say.” Jake stood to his full height and stalked over to where Sam stood. The sound of Jakes pulse began to drive Sam mad as his blood sped through his veins at what seemed like lightening speed. Sam took a step back and put space between them, not trusting his self control.
“Jake…” Josh tried, and reached out to place a comforting hand against Jakes shoulder once more. His twin shook his head and reached up to knock Josh’s hand off of his shoulder once more.
“You’re gonna wish you were dead, Sammy.” Jake spat and turned on his heel, storming out of the duplex.
A sigh slipped past Josh’s lips and he turned to face Sam, crossing his arms protectively over his chest. He was at a loss, not sure what to do in the situation he now found himself in. Sam shook his head and closed the distance between him and your sleeping form, kneeling down next to the couch beside where you slept.
“You’ve gotten me into a world of trouble, Iris. How are we going to get out of this?” He mumbled, reaching up to cup your cheek in the palm of his hand.
“What’s the plan?” Josh asked. Sam shrugged his shoulders and turned his attention to his eldest brother, fully at a loss for words.
~*~*~
Sam paced slowly beside where your body now lay in his bed, having moved you from the uncomfortable couch of his relaxation room. His hands were tangled in his hair, the strands wrapped so tightly around his fingers he thought he’d pull it free of his scalp if he tugged hard enough. He was mumbling to himself, trying to come up with ways to bring up the need for help to Marjorie, someone he knew full well would probably throw him out into the sunlight to perish.
“Can’t call Danny, he’ll just call Jake and he already hates me so… that’ll really end up with my untimely death by silver sword. Josh is no help now that Jakes somehow entwined in this. What the fuck do I do?” Sam stopped his pacing just long enough to let his gaze focus on your face. He took in just how peaceful you looked, sleeping so soundly in his bed. But he knew once you woke that your eyes would glow a deadly shade of red and he’d have to find you a food source quickly.
“Such an idiot, I should have just let her die. No… no that’s not nice, but neither was Jakes wrath. I don’t understand what came over me… why? Why her? Why must you be connected to my fucking brother, Iris?!” Sam spoke into the void, not realizing that you were able to hear everything he was saying.
You were stuck in an out of body realm, watching as Sam paced next to your sleeping body, still not fully aware of what exactly had happened last night. Taking note of how pale your skin had become in just twelve hours, you had the slightest inkling that his taste had become a meal he couldn’t stop.
You tried to wake your body, bring yourself back into the world of the conscious but failed miserably as whatever Sam had done to you still held strongly to your mind. You yearned to scream into the abyss, wanting nothing more than to curse the man pacing in front of your lifeless body, tell him off for doing something you had no say in and now your life would be completely ruined.
You watched as he sat on the bed next to your body and reached over to his bedside table, pulling his hairbrush out of the drawer and slowly began to detangle the mess that had become of your hair in your sleep.
“There’s no way we’re going to be able to stay here, Iris. We’re too close to your hometown for a missing persons report to work. Someone’s going to see you and we’re going to be screwed. Marjorie is our only hope of figuring this out.” Sam sighed and laid the hair brush down on the bed next to you, smoothing out your now detangled hair and he finally lay next to you, wishing for a few hours of real rest.
Until next time…

CW ; NSFW, Jealousy, rough sex at first but gets gentle towards the end, biting/marking, and a bit of possessiveness if you squint
WORD COUNT ; 560
PAIRING ; Jealous!Nagisa Ran x Male!Reader
A/N ; I don’t exactly remember when this ask was sent (Either yesterday or sometime today) But if I’m getting this correct then your birthday must be today! Happy birthday anon, I hope your birthday wishes come true and you have a marvelous day ♡
FEMALE ALIGNED DNI.
“Can you please leave me alone? I don’t—“
The guy next to you groaned, throwing his arm around your shoulder as you flinched. You were waiting for Nagisa to finish using the bathroom as you sipped at your margarita. Until this bothersome stranger approached you and persisted in getting you a drink despite your protests that you’re taken.
“C’mon, quit trying to play hard to get and just let me buy you the drink!”
Before you could answer, a figure had approached and stood next to you. They overshadowed the guy with a taller build than the two of you. As your face lit up with joy, you tore the guy's arm off your shoulder and launched yourself towards the figure.
“Nagisa!”
The man raised an eyebrow as he turned to face Nagisa, gulped, and then raised both of his hands. Because of the intimidation Nagisa exuded without even trying, his face contorted into one of fear.
"Look, dude, I had no idea he was taken! I’ll back off—“
Nagisa's normally composed and unwavering countenance contorted into a scowl as the atmosphere grew dark. He loomed over the man, his arms crossed across his chest.
“You should have backed off the moment he said no.”
The man quickly nodded before backing away and quickly leaving the place.
As soon as Hiyori, Jun, and Ibara learned what had transpired, they approached you two and questioned about it. Nagisa spoke on your behalf and summarized the events prior to offering to drive you home. You nodded, taking his hand as he led you out of the building.
Nagisa pushed your willing body onto the plush bed. His rough, textured hands roamed your body and pulled off every single bit of your clothes. The sheets under you two are wrinkled and stained with sweat as the air quickly grows heated. You weren't even aware that you were letting out wanton moans as your lover fucked you into bed; it was all at the moment.
Nagisa's girthy cock jackhammered into your ass, working you open with each thrust as you clung to the sheets. You would undoubtedly become sore from his hips repeatedly slamming against yours. Your strangled moans of ecstasy at the roughness filled the room, along with grunts coming from behind.
As time went on, you grew weaker while attempting to maintain your composure as water collected in your eyes.
“Nagisa! nngh— Slow down!” That you spoke a single syllable in between the uncontrollable noises Nagisa tore from you shocked you.
Fortunately, he listened to you and slowed down. His muscles tensed as his body hovered over yours, keeping himself supported as he leaned down and into your neck. You let out a strangled sob as Nagisa’s teeth sank into your skin. You’d think he’d let go, but his teeth kept biting harder until the skin beneath broke.
He finally let go after tasting the blood on his tongue, his thrusts now moving at a slower, more tender pace.
The muscles in your body finally relaxed as you sunk into the bed, panting heavily as you relished into the languid pace your lover set.
“I love you, (name). I apologize for being so rough with you,” he has finally woken up from his jealous trance. He delicately caressed your sides as he licked the blood from the bite mark. “Happy birthday, darling.”

little secret | jean kirschstein
-> pairing: ceo!jean kirschstein x f!reader
-> wc: 1.6k
-> warnings: NSFR, smut/nsfw, praise, vaginal sex, oral sex (m receiving), unprotected sex, creampie
-> notes: for u my love @miyanom <333 LOL let me know if there's any mistakes that i missed while editing!
you had no idea how you ended up in this situation, bare chest pressed up against his desk as he pushed your head down with one hand, holding your right hip with the other. it was all too much, and with your boss, jean kirschstein. of course you found him attractive, who wouldn’t? but to think that he was infatuated with you, his secretary, made your brain feel funny.
it was just a normal day at work, you had worn suitable and appropriate attire, but for some reason, he couldn’t take his eyes off of you.
jean was mesmerized, there was something different about you from the rest off the women that he had worked with. he felt weird having these feelings for you as your superior, but for some reason, it aroused him more. the way you acted around everyone, you seemed so innocent, and he wanted to know what you felt like, how you’d moan under him, get all worked up from him barely touching you. you hadn’t been able to leave his thoughts for the past couple weeks and when he saw you come into his office to deliver some papers, he knew he had to have his way with you.
one thing led to another, and here you were now.
“fuck, baby, you feel so good,” he seethed, pulling you up towards him so your back flush against his chest. this angle hitting that spongey spot perfectly, he could tell by the way you squeezed around him at this action. just by this simple change, you could feel the coil beginning to tighten, threatening to snap.
“jean, shit, ‘m gonna cum—”
just as you were about to have the release of a lifetime, the both of you froze at the sound of someone knocking on the door do jean’s office. horror struck your face as you looked over to him, quickly pulling out as you winced at the loss of the feeling of being full, and your ruined orgasm before jean motioned for you to get underneath his desk while he sat down in his chair.
“jean, may i come in?” you recognized that voice, connie springer. one of the members of his board. you’d heard jean talk about him when you’d dropped off some work for him in the past.
“oh, uh, yeah,” he coughed, trying to not sound as suspicious as he wiped down the sweat on his forehead with his sleeve. of all the times when connie needed to talk to him, why did it have to be now?
“so, i have some papers for you that i need you to look at, they look pretty important.” connie explains, walking closer over to the desk. you stayed quiet as you looked up to jean, visibly tense at the fact that connie was coming closer. if connie found out what the two of you were doing, you were almost certain that you’d lose your job.
“okay, yeah, i can get them to you later this afternoon, just leave them on the table.” he sounded agitated, to anyone except connie, it was clear that jean wanted him to leave and continue his fun that he was having with you moments prior.
what he didn’t expect was to feel you sliding your hands up his thighs, palming his dick through his poorly zipped pants. you heard his breath hitch as you continued your ministrations, slowly pulling his still hard cock out from under his garments.
you lazily stroked his length, bringing your mouth over to tease his tip with your tongue as you tasted the remnants of yourself and his precum. ever so quietly, you continued to bring more of him into your cavern, bobbing your head and up and down, making sure to not make a sound.
jean, on the other hand, was having trouble keeping his composure. there’s no way that he would say or do something that’d risk your cover, and more importantly, he thought this was insanely attractive that you were giving him, your superior, head under his desk.
he peered down to look at you, catching a moan in his throat before playing it off as a cough. you looked so pretty like this, with his cock down your throat, your spit coating his length and your hand as you proceeded to slide your hand up and down his shaft. this image alone was going to be burned into his memory forever, he was going to have to see this again.
“hey, is everything okay?” connie could tell that there was something wrong, and jean did not want him to come any closer, he did not want connie to see you like this, it was meant for him only.
“yeah, everything’s fine, i just am a bit stressed out that’s all,” jean responded in a monotone voice as his hands gripped the sides of his chair, he wasn’t going to last long.
“well, do you wanna talk about—”
“no, fuck, sorry. can i just have some space, please?” with that, connie gave a small nod, obviously worried for his boss but wanting to give him some space as he left the room.
once the door closed behind connie, jean eased into his chair, chuckling in the process. he looked down at you once again, seeing as you hadn’t slowed your movements, he brought his hand down to your head and intertwined his fingers with your hair, aiding your head up an down.
“that was, fuck, quite the stunt you pulled,” he smirked down at you as you pulled off of him, giving him a cheeky smile as you continued to lazily jerk him off. it was so sloppy, but the two of you loved it. “c’mere.”
jean grabbed your free wrist to pull you up towards him, his lips meeting yours in a heated kiss. the kiss was full of need, full of need, and full of lust. your hand lazily moving up and down his length before crawling up into his lap.
you melted into the kiss as you swiveled your hips on his dick, teasing him by sliding his tip between your folds but not quite bringing him inside just yet. as much as you wanted to tease him, make him crumble even more than he was already, you were aching for him.
"fuck — baby, put it in, oh my god," jean groaned as he threw his head back, squeezing his eyes shut before bringing his hands to your waist. in this moment, you felt so powerful by doing this action but it was quickly forgotten. his hands gripped you tightly and moved your hips in a way that his tip slid over your clit perfectly. the way he made you feel, the pleasure he gave you, it was too overwhelming.
the moment he slipped his cock inside your cunt, you immediately felt yourself get closer to your climax. your previous orgasm ruined, you were desperate to get it back.
your arm wrapped around his neck while his hands were on your waist as you sunk down, taking him to the hilt. the slick from your arousal made it easier for jean to thrust inside you, alternating between that and you riding him.
his hands remained at your waist, grinding you down onto him as your foreheads touched and lips ghosting each other's, but not once making contact. jean wanted to hear your pretty little noises while you wanted to hear his.
“jean,” you whimpered, melting into his touch.
“so — fucking pretty, you’re so pretty, my pretty girl.” jean babbled as your cunt continued to suck him back in, it was so addictive. he loved it, he wanted more, he needed more, he needed to feel you cum.
you both were clearly close with how erratic jeans's thrusts were and how desperately you ground your hips down onto him.
"fuck fuck fuck, jean, please," you whined, bringing your head to rest on his shoulder as he fucked into you at a a steady pace. the way you squeezed down on him, drove him insane. he could feel his orgasm approaching as he brought his hands down to the fat of your ass, gripping hard as he bounced you on his cock.
the way he kept hitting that special spot over and over again, and you could feel your legs begin to tremble as your orgasm washed over you. with a yell of his name, your body trembled as the wall broke down, your release coating his cock.
“’m cumming, fuck, oh fuck,” jean groaned, the feeling of your arousal and previous orgasm drove him over the edge as hot spurts of cum flooded your insides. his thrusts slowed to a halt as he rested his head on your shoulder as an attempt to catch his breath.
you both sat there in a comfortable silence for a few moments before you felt the feeling of his cum seeping out of your swollen cunt. you stood up and began to look for your panties, not knowing where to they were.
“looking for these?” jean smirks while reaching into his back pocket to pull out your black lace thong.
“yeah, thanks,” you turn your back towards him, clearly embarrassed that he had your panties in his pocket. you could feel your face hot as you felt his chest press against the small of your back before giving you a light kiss on the exposed skin of your shoulder.
“lemme help you,” he whispers before kneeling down so you can step into your undergarments as he slides them up your thighs and under your skirt before standing tall again. his hand reached under the fabric to bring his fore finger and middle finger just over the crotch to feel the mix of his cum along with yours. “keep it in for me when i check later, yeah?”
your face hot as you gave him a small nod before flattening your skirt, fixing your skirt and hair. just as you had reached for the handle of his door, you heard his voice once more.
“it can be our little secret.”

Sure, you’ve been accidentally bad a couple times here and there. But imagine if someday, you were curious enough to see what’s it like to test his limit. So, when you were acting out of the ordinary, of course he’d be suspicious.
It all started when you both woke up. He’d always wake up first, usually drinking tea at the dinner table and you’d always greet him. But today, you felt a little braver than usual and decided to just ignore him and went ahead to the kitchen to grab your breakfast. He raised his brow, but thought nothing much of it. You put your plate on the table and played with your phone while eating your food.
Zhongli cleared his throat, causing you to look at him with a confused look on your face. “Good morning” he said with a smile, a fake one if I may add. You ignored him and continued to play your phone and eat your food. You could see his smile fade away in the corner of your eye. “I expect a response, no?” you looked at him, and his expression seems blank. “Uh, morning?” you answered blankly before continuing to ignore him. He sighs in defeat, standing up to prepare a hot shower to cool him off.
Zhongli said he’ll be meeting up with a few people for a while, and of course you being you, decided to tag along. You were confused on what to wear—until you remembered your little plan to push his buttons. You smirked at yourself before thinking. You had an idea. You put on the most revealing clothes you’ve ever worn out in public just to mess with him. Once you were done getting ready, he doesn’t say a single word. His gaze was enough to make a person tremble, thus why you were averting his eyes the whole time. He simply grabs your hands and wrapped it around his and said nothing more than a simple “Let’s go.”
You finally arrived at the Teahouse after quite some time. The moment you two opened the door, all eyes were on you. You looked absolutely stunning. Your looks may even be enough to tempt a god. Zhongli clearly tried to ignore the situation and dragged you to the back and seated you both at the corner of the Teahouse.
The meeting overall was boring. Although it was pretty boring, you had to admit that hearing people talking about Morax and acting as if they know more than Morax himself was kind of funny. You yawned in boredom and continued to look around before your eyes landed to your boyfriend’s figure that was sitting right beside you. His eyes that are completely focused, the way he talks, and the way his tall figure is sitting straight, asserting dominance through small, simple things. You couldn’t help but feel excited just by looking at him. Your excitement caused you to land your hand on your boyfriend’s thighs as he was listening to some people talking and discussing about the geo archon. He looked at you, confused and you gave him a small, sweet innocent smile, in which he returned.
But what he didn’t expect was for your hand to go higher and higher, until he realized that your hand was basically almost touching his dick. Before you could do anything further, he slapped your hand away and came closer to your ear to whisper, “Behave.” That action alone caused you to shiver and it tempted you even more. Biting your lower lip, you decided to wait for the right moment. After everyone was done talking and discussing, they asked for Zhongli’s opinion. And just right before he gets the chance to talk, you took the chance and managed to place your hand between his pants without raising any suspicions. He flinched slightly, earning worried looks from other people and workers. “My apologies, I thought I saw something.” He said as he kept his composure. And surprisingly enough, they believed him. Thank god you were seated in the corner so that no one could see what was actually happening between the two of you. You palmed him through his pants slowly as he explained about his opinion. You could hear the slight shake on his voice and clearing his throat way more than he normally does, even though he looked completely focused and well composed. “Mr. Zhongli? Are you feeling alright?” someone said in which he responded with a slight nod, and a pinch to your thighs as a warning. You gasped quietly in surprise and stopped your ministrations before looking at him. His stare was menacing, daring you to make another move. In which you responded by looking the other way and pouting as you rest your hands that was palming him a few seconds ago on the table.
The trip back home was silent. You didn’t dare utter a word, not after all that. You looked fine and chill on the outside, But inside? You were trembling. Was it really a good idea to make your god angry? Is it even worth it? Your thoughts were racing as you asked yourself. But there was no turning back.
You walked inside the house slowly, trying to keep calm and collected. You knew you were in deep trouble the moment he shuts the door with a slam. You saw a glimpse of his beautiful, black hair with a gradient, glowing, neon orange color near the ends of his hair, which usually occurred where he’s focused like in battles, or if he’s really pissed. You didn’t really want to test him any further, so you just decided to follow his next commands and obey him. “What has gotten into you?” He asked, voice demanding for an answer. You turned to him, looking to the ground instead while fiddling your hands. He clicked his tongue and forcefully held your chin so you were met with his amber colored eyes. “Talk” He demanded. You were unable to form coherent words and ended up stuttering on your words. He shakes his head in disapproval and practically dragged you into the bedroom.
He lets you go once you’ve both reached your shared bedroom. You watched as he sat himself on the edge of the bed, looking down and letting out a sigh. The moment his eyes met yours, you immediately looked down, not prepared for his eyes to pierce through you so sudden.
“Strip.” He said lowly. Calmly. But you knew him. It’s always the calm before the storm. You stood there, silently, not moving in the slightest. You could feel the tension in the room. He was disappointed. Of course he was! He had all the reasons to be. He walked towards you slowly, observing the outfit you wore. One of his gloved hand stroking it smoothly as his other hand gripped your jaw gently and made you look into his eyes. “Tsk, I have given you such a simple task. But I know you humans simply cannot do anything yourselves.” He practically spat as he tore your clothes off with both hands. Your eyes widened, mouth slightly opened and you froze due to shock as he chuckled at your reaction.
His two hands grabbed you by the shoulders and threw you onto the bed roughly, a contrast to his gentle grip on your jaw earlier. You continued to freeze in your place and he took the chance to pin both your hands with one of his, as his big and strong body kept your smaller one caged. You tried to get out of his grip. But it was no use. No matter how much you try, he will always overpower you.
“Tell me, love. Were you being a brat on purpose?” He asked you with a teasing tone on his voice. You closed your eyes and gave up, exhaling the breath you didn't notice you've been holding while nodding your head slowly in shame and embarrassment. He chuckled lowly as he lets both of your hand go and flipped you over. You yelped in surprise as he positioned himself so that your stomach was on his lap and he places his hand to rub gently on your ass.
You cried out, “Zhongli please I’m sorry-“ “Now, now. It’ll hurt a bit. But you mortals really need to be taught a lesson to know their place.” He says as one of his hand stroked your hair and the other continued to move gentle motions on your ass. “Zhongli pleas-“ Smack. A loud noise echoed across the room as you jolted forward and you felt your eyes beginning to water. “Can you just listen to me, brat?” his voice sounded clearly annoyed. The room was quiet for a while, until he broke the silence. “Stay silent and take it like the good pet I know you are.”
The sound of your cries and sniffles could be heard in the rather silent room. You were sobbing, hands starting to go numb as you gripped them onto the bedsheets, your ass sore and red from all the painful and harsh smacks Zhongli has delivered. You were trembling. It felt like hours since he started and it never seemed to end. He eventually stopped and started caressing the spots he had abused minutes before. “I’m sorry my love, but If I don’t do this then… you’ll never learn from your mistakes.” He explained. You were still sobbing, but a part of you was relieved that it was over.
He got you off his lap and laid you down carefully onto the bed as you finally closed your eyes, trying to calm yourself down. That is until you feel a hand tracing your back and onto your underwear. You felt him come closer as he whispered in your ear “Seems like someone got excited. Well, it isn’t really a punishment if you enjoyed it. Don’t you agree?” you can feel his hot breath fanning your ear.
He flipped you over, your back now facing the bed. You hissed slightly at the sting because your ass still hurts from his ministrations. He gently spread both of your legs apart as he sat himself in between your now-parted thighs and pulled your underwear down, in which he threw across the room. You tried to cover yourself up but again, it was no use. You were now exposed for him and his eyes to devour. “But I’ll have to admit, seeing you in that revealing outfit where everyone can see really makes me…” he paused as he searched for the right word before continuing. “Jealous.” You prayed to the archons to make it out alive before answering him. “Oh? M-maybe you’re just mad they can probably fuck me better than you.” You’ve done it. You took back what you said about obeying him, but at the wrong time. “Getting brave now, are we? How ironic for someone who cried over a punishment moments ago.” he bitterly chuckles. “Well then, we’ll just have to see how hard I’ll break you tonight.”
He took off his gloves and immediately gathered some of your wetness on his fingers, combining it with the drool he managed to get at the corners of your mouth. He wastes no time as he inserts one finger into your needy hole. You gasped and held onto the bedsheets once more, your eyes rolling into the back of your head. God, his fingers were long. You can feel him filling you up as he kept pistoning one finger in and out of you. But then you started to whine for more. For him to fill you up more. “Humans are indeed greedy, but you’re my greedy little human, aren’t you whore?” you scrambled over your words before he used his free hand to wrap it around your throat and tightening his hold around it. “Answer.” He stopped moving completely and you whined as you finally managed to answer. “Y-yes!” “Yes what?” “Yes, my lord.”

MC Almost Gets Abducted by a Flying Demon
Hello~
You ever just have an idea that occupies your head and won’t go away until you write it? Yeah this was one of those.
You’re out with your favorite demon brother and some demon thinks it would be a good idea to try to take you away.
Warning for angst, injuries and kidnapping attempts.
Belphegor
The day had passed without event. Belphie and you were relaxing under a tree in the park.
You offered to go buy some drinks.
Although he was clearly comfortable, he offered to get the drinks instead.
You smiled as you watched him push himself up and trudged to the closest store. Who said he was selfish?
A few leaves had fallen on the blanket while you had been watching Belphie. You brushed them off.
As you waited for his return a couple more leaves fell. Annoyed, you brushed them off and looked up at the tree.
You were not expecting to make eye contact with a demon in the branches that was already watching you.
Before your mind could make a connection, the demon swooped down and grabbed your arm and leg.
“Belphegor!” You hollered as you clung to the branch with your free arm. The demon was strong and it felt like you would either lose your grip or be torn in half if this kept up any longer.
Belphie was back in a flash, he was already in his demon form.
He was looking between you and the demon trying to figure out what he can do when your grip on the branch faltered.
His tail shot out and grabbed your arm. The barbs bit at your skin but the tuft of soft hair at the end of his tail rested gently against your face reassuring as he moved you towards him.
Once close enough, Belphie grabbed your hand and arm and removed his tail.
The demon looked back to see what was happening and why they couldn’t make their escape. They locked eyes with Belphie’s glare and immediately dropped you to run.
Luckily you were closer to the ground now and fell onto the blanket, your arm still in Belphie’s grasp.
You tried to take a few deep breaths but when you looked up at Belphie, you just broke.
He sat down in front of you and hugged you to his body as your cries were released. Belphie whispered, “I’m sorry MC.”
He felt guilty having left you alone and then further hurting you with the spikes on his tail. The places that the demon had been pulling on you were already blooming into bruises. It reminded him of the time in the attic and his emotions are spiraling.
When he pulls away slightly to double check your injuries, you see his eyes are watery, tears threatening to spill at any second but he was putting on a brave face for you. You tried to do the same in the moment, for him.
Beelzebub
The two of you had been walking down the street when an ice cream stand caught his attention.
You sat on the nearby bench waiting for him to return.
He was on the way back to you, his ice cream already finished and he was eyeing yours, maybe just a lick?
That is until he heard your scream. He dropped the ice cream to run back to where he left you.
You weren’t on the bench and his heart dropped into his stomach as he looked around.
You saw him from the air and howled, “Beel!!”
He instantly looked up and found you. Beel ran through the streets transforming into his demon form until he was underneath you and the demon. With a powerful jump, he was flying straight up towards you.
The demon was surprised at the speed that Beel was approaching. In a desperate attempt to leave with their life, the demon threw you to the side and escaped the other way.
You screamed as you started plummeting towards the ground.
Beel was fast and caught you before you could fall far.
You gripped at his clothes as tightly as you could, with hiccupping sobs you whispered his name over and over, “Beel, Beel.”
He hugged you into his body firmly, “I’ve got you,” he assured as you two lowered to the ground, his wings buffering the descent.
Once on the pavement, he placed you back on your feet gently and only pried you away to assess injuries. “Are you ok? Where does it hurt?”
You rubbed your eyes and face, trying to regain composure to answer but the sensation of Beel pushing you away hurt and made you feel worse.
He promptly pulled you back into a hug, noting your crying was worse than when he held you.
“I want to go home,” you finally requested.
Beel nodded and picked you up to carry you back to the House of Lamentation.
Asmodeus
Asmo was surrounded by a group of his fans.
These encounters usually didn’t take long. They would snap a few pictures, he might sign something he collaborated on, a few more pictures or videos and they would be on their way.
This was one of the times where you weren’t included, sometimes being a human was interesting enough to warrant a picture but today’s group only wanted Asmo’s attention.
This was pretty common so you didn’t mind stepping aside and waiting while he did his thing. You were secure enough to know he’d come back to you once he appeased his fans.
With the free moment, you took out your D.D.D. to check the time.
You two were still ahead of schedule so another moment for the fans wouldn’t be an issue.
That is until your snatched into the air. You dropped your D.D.D. in surprise and screamed.
Asmo was looking for you and spotted your form struggling in the air.
He was angry and the fans backed up a few steps when he changed into his demon form.
One bold fan tried to hold him in place for a quick picture and he brushed them off.
His attention was completely on you and he jumped into pursuit.
His wings were out of practice but he still gained on the demon.
You cried out for him and he tried to offer you a reassuring smile that you would be safe soon.
The demon looked over its shoulder at Asmo’s chase and when their eyes met, Asmo began charming them. “Release MC~”
The demon slowed and started letting you go.
Asmo swooped in and caught you as the demon completely removed its talons from your clothes.
“It’s ok, it’s ok,” Asmo began soothing as he flew as far away as he could.
“Asmo,” you whimpered into his neck.
“I know MC, I’m so sorry, that must have been really scary.”
He held you close all the way home and for a long time after.
Satan
You had been enjoying your time with Satan at an outdoor cafe.
He went inside briefly to get refills. As he was reminding the barista what you each had, he heard a commotion, broken glassware and chairs scuffing the ground, “another fight?” a tired employee asked.
Then you screamed Satan’s name. His breath stopped as he pushed people out of his way to get back outside.
Your table was on its side and you were fighting the demon that was dragging you along by your hair and an arm.
You happened to look back and found Satan. “Help!”
You didn’t have to ask, he turned to his demon form in a fiery flash. Most other demons vacated, no one wanted to stick around the warpath of Wrath incarnate.
His tail whipped the demon’s leg holding your hair. The demon screeched and released its hold.
The release was enough for you to throw your weight away from the demon, that and another whip of Satan’s tail had you freed.
You stumbled towards Satan and he caught you.
“You’re hurt!” he observed, scandalized and new rage bubbling. If you didn’t need medical attention, he’d be hunting the demon.
You were shaken. Your trembling hand went to the scratches and punctures on your arm and shoulder. Although it came away bloody, you didn’t yet feel the pain, “huh.”
“MC?” Satan asked, now worried about your lack of response. He started smoothing your hair while searching your eyes.
“Hm?” You responded but your eyes were glazed over, not really seeing him.
“You’re in shock,” Satan determined, “Let’s go home, ok?” He took your hand on the less affected side and began leading you.
“Ok,” you repeated.
About halfway home it started to hit you. Your legs got heavy, the pain in your shoulder and arm started throbbing, and tears threatened to escape your eyes.
When you began slowing, Satan turned to check on you. Your watery eyes and uneven breathing were dead giveaways your shock had worn off. “Come here,” he pulled you into his arms.
“Satan,” you whined, him being sweet was pushing you over the edge.
“I know,” He adjusted his grip and you realized he was getting ready to carry you so you jumped slightly to wrap your legs around him. “I was so scared,” Satan admitted, “I can’t even imagine how you felt.”
With his confession of being afraid, you broke down into a hard cry.
He held you tightly as he carried you the rest of the way home.
Leviathan
Levi had ducked into a store to check if they had the new release of a game. You stayed outside sipping your beverage and scrolling through your D.D.D.
You hadn’t even seen the demon until it had you in its grasp.
“Levi!” you yelled. Would he even hear you from inside the shop? “Leviiii!” You poured everything you had into your next, “Leviathan!!”
He rushed out from the store looking around for you in a panic.
“Over here!” you cried. You tried to undo the claws holding onto you.
The demon wasn’t flying very high, maybe to keep a low profile.
Levi ran through the crowd, gaining ground on you and the demon. He was already in his demon form and his eyes never left you.
As soon as he was in range, his tail extended and wrapped around the demon’s ankle holding it in place.
The demon struggled for a minute but decided you were not worth the head-on fight with one of the rulers of the realm.
The demon dropped you and you fell the short distance to the pavement, your legs weren’t ready and you collapsed.
Levi was in front of you in a second. You looked up to see he was flustered, angry, and searching you for injuries.
Your shoulders throbbed and your ankles and knees beat in the same rhythm but that wasn’t why you were crying. No, you were crying because, for maybe the first time in the Devildom, you were scared.
Levi wasn’t sure what to say but he couldn’t stand by and watch you cry. He crouched down and held you for a moment before picking you up off the floor.
You wrapped your hands around his neck seeking comfort in his familiar presence.
Your sobs quieted as he walked you two home. When the roaring in your ears died down, you could hear he was talking, maybe rambling.
You still weren’t in a mental place to make sense of what he was saying but you could tell his words were filled with love trying to distract you.
Mammon
It was flea market day, which meant the two of you were browsing the selection.
Mammon was fond of the flea market because, “Ya never know what you’ll find and one demon’s trash is another’s treasure.”
The stalls lined the street and Mammon flitted from side to side checking out the vendors.
He was totally in his element, bargaining prices and sifting through piles of goods.
You mainly walked along the middle path, maybe following Mammon up to a vendor if something caught your eye. Right now you were at a separate stall but still close by.
Unfortunately not close enough when a demon decided you were the prize of the flea market.
They swooped down and picked you up into the air by your waist.
The pressure made it hard to take a big gulp of air so your call to Mammon was too weak to hear over the crowd.
You tried to pour all your magic ability into your pact with Mammon to alert him.
It worked! Mammon was in the middle of the street looking around for you.
You tried yelling again, “Mammon!”
He looked up and locked on to you.
You never saw him turn into his demon form so fast. He was airborne in the next second.
The demon grunted when he realized he was being followed. They looked down to see it was Mammon.
When they made eye contact, Mammon growled loud enough, even from a distance, to show how angry he was.
The demon must have decided you weren’t worth the hassle and dropped you.
Finally able to yell at full capacity you wailed for Mammon. You landed in his arms.
“I got you,” he comforted as he watched the demon fly away. He wouldn’t let this go, no one steals his treasure.
At the sound of your crying, Mammon looked down at you holding onto his collar and hiding your face in his neck.
“I’ve got you MC,” he reminded, softer this time. He shifted you so you could properly hug him as he started towards home.
Lucifer
He looked away for only a second when someone called out to him. His grip on you loosened and then he let go as he dealt with the person who had drawn his attention.
It was long enough for the demon to swoop in overhead.
The shock took over at first and you were frozen as the demon’s talons clawed at your shoulders.
When you regained some semblance of recognition, you called “L-Luci-” but the demon wrapped its tail around your mouth to silence you.
You tried to get the tail off to try calling again when you caught his face in the crowd, slowly getting further away.
He saw you hold a hand out for him with the other still desperately trying to pull at the tail from around your head.
Lucifer quickly transformed into his demon form and jumped into the air.
The demon was quick, dodging between other flyers, and through architecture, they clearly had planned their escape to some degree.
The demon had not planned on how fast Lucifer was in the sky. He doesn’t usually fly around to get from one place to another but he had centuries of flight experience under his belt.
He was close, maybe five feet away. He could hear your muffled cries and could see the tears staining your face.
The rage and hurt you found on his face was unlike anything you had seen on his features.
Lucifer had caught up without the demon realizing, you gripped at his arms as he silently gauged how he could free you.
When you started crying harder, he opted for the straightforward answer, he wrapped an arm around your waist and grabbed the tail that was wrapped around your head. The flesh under his hand sizzled and the demon yelped. Instantly, the tail unwrapped your head and the talons released you.
“Lucifer!” You cried as he adjusted his hold on you, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”
“Shh,” Lucifer tried to calm you and his rage, it wasn’t directed at you but it must have left a bad taste for you to apologize. “It’s not your fault.”
“I, I,” but you couldn’t finish the sentence before breaking down once more.
Lucifer felt the tears fall on his neck and shoulder and it hurt as if his own heart was breaking.
He started towards the House of Lamentation silently. He couldn’t think of anything to soothe so he rubbed your back as he supported you in the air.
Once you had calmed enough to find your voice, you asked, “Can we go home?”
“Of course,” Lucifer smiled softly. His heart warmed to hear anything but your crying but especially that you thought of the HOL as home. “We’re almost there.”

force of habit - nikolai lantsov.
pairing: nikolai lantsov x reader.
genre/warning: angsty fluff.
words: 1.4k
summary: nikolai and you have been sharing beds ever since you were little, a habit you haven't been able to break no matter how increasingly more painful it became once you developed feelings for each other.
The night was cold and dark, and as the droplets of water that the rain let escape fell through the holes on your bedroom roof and landed on your pillow beside you, you couldn’t help but wish that someone else was occupying the spot instead. The rain somehow reflected exactly the way you were feeling, and the slight sway of the waves against the ship that would usually calm you down, were now only a representation of the back and forward game that it felt like you were playing with Nikolai. Ever since you could remember, Nikolai and you had been sharing beds or sneaking into each other’s rooms at ungodly hours of the night, staying up talking about everything and anything until the rays of sunlight started to paint the black night sky a brighter blue. It had been fun at first, two childhood best friends that would occasionally cuddle but always sleep next to each other, it was normal and it didn’t hurt at first, until it did.
No one had warned you that the little boy with wild blonde hair and excited doe hazel eyes your parents had forced you to get along with, would become the only person you would ever be able to give your heart to. It wasn’t as if you hadn’t tried to think about other people because you had, after all, you didn’t want to ruin your friendship. However, every time you went out with someone who wasn’t Nikolai, you would start to compare that person to him, and that wasn’t fair to anyone.
You would compare if way their hand felt in yours was the same to the way Nikolai’s did, you would compare the color of their eyes and if shone the same way Nikolai’s did when the sun was setting over the horizon and it hit him just right, and most of all, you would compare how you couldn’t feel anything at all, as opposed to the roller coaster of emotions that Nikolai made you feel. So, eventually, you just decided that a little bit of Nikolai was better than none of him, and that feeling heartbreak and sadness was better than feeling nothing at all. Which is how you ended where you were now: thousands of miles away from home, in a ship where you couldn’t even call your friend by his real name, and sleeping alone with your only company being the rain and the stars that shone above you.
The sound that the water made when it fell on top of your pillow felt eerily similar to the sound a clock would make when it was ticking: mocking you, telling you that every minute you spent laying on your bed, was a minute you weren’t spending with Nikolai. But how could you? When the mere thought of having to be beside him and feel so close to him but so far away was heart wrenching and when knowing that while you lay awake thinking about him, he’s probably sleeping safe and sound on his own bed, not a single thought about you swirling around in his mind and making its way onto every vein connected to his heart.
Your eyes got blurry with tears as your head showed you flashes of Nikolai’s face throughout the years, but you didn’t get much time to drown even deeper into your own self pity when a noise from your door startled you.
You could barely see in the dark of your room, but you’d know him anywhere. “Nik?”
“The one and only.” he smirked as he made his way closer to you, finally allowing the moon to shine on his face and showcase his beautiful untailored features. “Mind if I lay here for a while? Force of habit.” he shrugged at your surprised expression, and your mind was sent into override once again as you wondered if he had been thinking about you after all.
“Missed me too much?” you asked, hiding behind the teasing facade and scooting over, granting him space next to you on your bed.
“It’s hard to sleep without you.” he answered as he laid down, instead of the teasing remark you had been expecting him to make to match your own.
You wanted to say so much, but kept quiet as he settled beside you and let only the sound of the rain against your roof take over the quietness of the room. Suddenly, the atmosphere was different from what it had once been: where there had once been childish giggles and conversations about the future, there now was unusual tension and unspoken feelings.
“Why not just go to your room?” you asked when you saw the water that had been previously falling on the empty pillow, now fall on his face. The line it traced down his face almost looked like a tear, and you resisted the urge to run your thumb against it.
“I knew it! You are just using me because my room as the captain is bigger.” he accused teasingly, and you rolled your eyes as he pretended to be offended.
“You say that, yet you’re the one who knocked on my door to come sleep next to me.” you teased back, but his face fell at your words, and you panicked. It felt as if that was what finally broke the dam, because his eyes started to fill with tears and his usual confident facade was dropped. “Nik? What 's wrong?” you cupped his face with both of your hands, and he leaned into your touch like a cat would, closing his eyes and tilting his head to the side. He skipped past your hands and instead collapsed right onto your chest, your arms coming to wrap around him and play with his hair as you shushed his cries.
After what felt like years of torture having to listen to the boy you loved sob into your arms, he finally lifted his head up and looked into your eyes. “Do you not want me here?” he asked, voice raw due to his cries.
“What?” you answered with your own question, not being able to comprehend how he could ever think that you didn’t want him next to you.
“Do I bother you by coming to your room every night?” he rephrased, and your heart broke at his weak tone and vulnerable question.
“Of course you don’t.” you were quick to deny. “Most of the nights we don’t spend together I just spend them thinking about you.” you admitted, voice trailing down towards the end, embarrassed about the confession.
“You do?” his eyes suddenly looked hopeful, and you had to convince yourself to not jump to conclusions about what his reaction to your words could mean.
“I do.” you nodded. “All the time.” After a moment of silence, you decided to just ask the question that had been playing on your mind like a constant loop. “Do you ever think about me?”
“All the time.” he repeated your words, and you released a breathy laugh that sounded more like an exclamation of relief. “Can I kiss you?” he asked, and your breath was suddenly caught on your throat, not letting you release any sounds, so you just settled for nodding.
At your confirmation, he lunged forward and captured your lips in a kiss that took any little air that was left in your lungs away. It wasn’t a perfect kiss, because you could taste his salty tears and the years of waiting just caused you both to become desperate for each other, but you didn’t need it to be perfect. You didn’t need it to be perfect when the kiss held every unspoken word, every hidden emotion, and every thought you had tried so hard to ignore and push away.
“Who would’ve known you wanted to kiss me that badly?” he said once you both pulled away, his voice coming out in the form of a whispered pant, trying to regain his composure.
“You know, your teasing doesn’t sound that coy when you can barely get it out because you’re out of breath.” you raised your eyebrow at him.
“In my defense, I've waited my whole life to do that.” he said, making your smile grow to an unimaginable size and your cheeks to be overcome by a rose blush.
“Well, you’ll be pleased to know the feeling is mutual.”
“Don’t worry, I noticed.” he answered, gesturing to your lips and referencing the kiss you’d just shared.
You slapped his chest at his words, but after hearing his laugh come in response to your hand colliding against his chest and the offended look on his face, you realized you would not change his teasing words for even the best of a poet’s declaration of love. He was finally yours, and you were finally his. And that was enough.

Leave Me Lonely p.1 - The Darkling x Reader
Based on Ariana Grande’s song Leave me Lonely ft.Macy Grey. Was supposed to be just one part but I got carried away as per usual 🤓
'Get the General!' Zoya's eyes were borderline frantic but her composure remained the same, the once pristine blue kefta was dirty and ragged and her long luscious hair was disheveled, a piece of it in the way of a small cut on her temple.
'Zoya are you alright?' You were exiting the General's tent when you saw her approach, your body filled with an alarming feeling as you raced to meet her and some other Grisha, The skiff, she was manning a skiff across the Fold not even an hour ago, why is she back?
She ignored your question and continued with her dutifulness, 'The General, this is urgent'
You nodded and ran back, mind whirling with the possibilities of the skiffs return. Zoya was a great Squaller who'd successfully manned many journeys across the Fold so why was she back here, all scratched and bruised.
He was conversing with First Army Lieutenants and Captains when a rough grasp around his arm interrupted the flowing conversation. He squared his shoulders but when he saw your panicked face, he relaxed but only the smallest amount. Not even 10 minutes beforehand you two were involved in a heavy argument and at the feel of his tense muscles beneath his kefta, you guessed he thought you were back for more.
You had a right to come back and throw insults at his face, hell, he was the one who brought out that side of you. A vicious, ruthless, and malevolent side you never knew you had, but you ignored that urge.
-Dangerous Love, you're no good for me darling-
'We have a situation.' You cocked your head in Zoya's direction and waited until his company excused themselves and stood to the side before you let Zoya speak.
'I think we may have a sun-summoner.' She said without any negligible hesitancy. The tent suddenly froze in time. The Grisha held their breath and the otkazat'sya paled as your eyes grew wide. A Sun-Summoner.
'We were 2 markers in and were attacked by volcra, a searing light came out of nowhere, or rather came out of a girl, a first-army soldier.' You could see the lieutenant perk up at the sound of one of his being mentioned but Aleksander's expression hadn't changed since Zoya started talking.
'Bring her to me.'
'A Healer is bringing her now.' As she concluded her statements, she silently moved off to the crowd of other Grisha who'd come back from the skiff journey looking equally as shaken as she did.
You leaned back on the desk for support as you settled the information she'd just given you. This was Zoya, a very, very credible witness who'd just said a Sun-Summoner had been found. A legend come true, a myth that no longer needed debunking.
You looked at him again, this time noticing a flicker of hope in his eyes. He stared right back into your own wide eyes and gave a gentle nod followed by a small squeeze of reassurance to your hand which still held a tight hold on his arm. He kept his back to the entrance but you had a full view of her once the tent flap opened.
She was brought in by two guards in a scuffed First-Army uniform, Whether it was from the volcra or just daily use, you didn't know. She looked slightly sickly but mostly scared, like a wounded animal being hunted by its prey.
'Bring her closer.' You had let go of his arm now, that feeling of surety left you cold as his touch disappeared from yours. The guards brought her forth a bit more, letting her go and stepping back as their General finally turned around.
'Closer.' She took a tiny step forward. The poor girl is petrified.
'Well?'
'Well, what. Sir?' She was on the defense, I don't blame her. He was intimidating even when he wasn't using his powers.
'What are you?'
'Alina Starkov, Assistant Cartographer, Royal Corps of Surveyors.' Her fearful expression suddenly changed into a more devastated one. 'They’re all gone. It’s my fault. That’s why I’m here, isn’t it?'
'Answer the question.' He leaned back against the desk just as you did.
'A mapmaker, sir' It was clear to you that Ms.Starkov had no idea why she was here. She was scared, alone, and being interrogated by the most feared man in all of Ravka. The tent erupted in a peal of laughter but you had no time for such snobbiness.
'Quiet' You ordered and a silence fell over the space once again. There was a time when you wouldn't dare command a tent full of Grisha, but Aleksander had changed you; changed the way all his Grisha looked at you.
'So who actually saw what happened? Zoya? You manned the mainsail.'
Zoya repeated what she told you, and Aleksander asked the girl whether she'd been tested but your ears stopped listening once she'd stated she grew up in Keramzin. You too grew up in Keramzin before you were shipped off to the Little Palace to train and become a skilled Heartrenderer. You knew they tested all the children, so how the hell did she slip through the cracks?
You came back from your thoughts just as Aleksander approached her and subsequently amplified her powers. A beam of light so bright and strong you felt some heat from it pounced from her skin and up through the ceiling.
Everyone looked away from the harsh ray but you couldn't turn away. It was beautiful and magical, the physical embodiment of hope, but short-lived as Aleksander let her go and she fell back with a look of awe. He moved quickly, whispering into Ivan's ear and then moving back to you.
'Accompany them to the Little Palace. Ride on a horse and be on the lookout, and give her your kefta.' You nodded curtly, knowing he only trusted his inner circle with the transport of the Sun-Summoner to Os Alta, and that included you. Alina was dragged out from the tent still in a daze of her own.
Your earlier argument with him vanished from your memory as he leaned down to briefly kiss you on the top of your head, 'Be safe.' And with that, you left to find your horse.
***
The backroads were peaceful and quiet as your horse galloped along the dirt road. You wanted so badly to sit in the carriage and speak to Alina, a fellow child of Keramzin, but you listened to Aleksander's command and served as a lookout for any oncoming dangers. So far it had been all clear, but as you approached a hill, a tree blocking the road caught your attention. You slid off your horse and signaled the coachmen to stop too.
'The road is blocked! Beware!' One of them shouted and then all hell broke loose. Shots came from everywhere and anywhere while your horse, in a frightful spell, escaped the way you came.
You had no clear line of vision as dust and dirt clouds plummed above ground and a bullet scratched your left shoulder, then your leg. Your eyes stung and lungs burned as you tried to get yourself out of direct lines of bullets and bombs, eventually finding a place behind thick trees.
Ivan and Fedyor joined you almost immediately both panting and the latter holding his hand to his chest.
'You're bleeding Y/N, where is your kefta?' Fedyor panicked and lay his other hand on your leg where the blood glistened like a jewel.
'How many are there?' Ivan risked asking, trying to get your mind off of the bleeding wounds. Your hands were up in the air as you listened for heartbeats and your heart dropped to your stomach. Too many.
'At least 15 more.' You looked around the Grisha desperately devising a plan in your head that would bring you all out alive.
'Get to the carriage, protect the girl' You signaled to the three Heartrenderers and Squaller.
'But you're hurt and you cannot fight the-' Ivan was cut off by the darkening of the forest, a classic tell that Aleksander was here. Relief flooded you all. The shadows loomed over you, directing their course to near the carriage and then up ahead to where Alina was.
You waited for him to erupt from behind the trees and help you, but the minutes ticked by and you were still hiding from the skilled Fjerdan fighters without backup. Fedyor looked to you, disappointment and pity clear on his face.
Only momentarily did the fighting cease as bullets carried on their assault. You assumed they would flee from the fear of being in the Darkling's presence, but they hit back twice as hard. In return, you all fought back equally as strong, knocking out bodies left right and center despite your dwindling body.
All throughout the fight, you had one thing on your mind and that was why Aleksander chose to ignore you. Was he still mad from your argument? No that couldn't possibly be why he would leave you to potentially die at the hands of druskelle.
Yes you were a soldier, but no doubt he knew the extents of the Fjerdan army and their skilled fighters. If outnumbered, a Grisha was basically of no use.
-If you're gonna love me and leave me hanging here....-
You understood she was the Sun-Summoner but you were you. You were the person he shared his bed with every night, the person who could calm his stormy mind, and the person who stayed with him through it all even though you hurt more than he loved. It stung like a throbbing wound and snagged at your already dwindling will to keep the relationship alive.
-then I'd rather you leave me lonely-

Hawks’s wings have a mind of their own (headcanons)
A/N: some slight suggestive themes, so don’t like read this to your parents or anything.
You were about to step off a curb right into the path of a cyclist and suddenly you were mom-armed back onto the sidewalk. It was a powerful force that almost had you tripping back onto your butt. He was standing next to you with a smirk, so you thought this was his cheeky way of keeping you safe.
Internally though, this man is screaming. What the hell was that? This has never happened before with his other girlfriends. It wasn’t hero instinct either -- his wing had yanked him to you.
He gets flustered the next time.
Once is a fluke, but twice is a pattern.
You hadn’t seen the old glass mason jar come off the top shelf along with whatever you were reaching for until it was heading straight down to your face. There was nothing to do other than brace for a painful impact. You were surprised at the large gust of wind and a deafening shatter of glass. Hawk’s wing had narrowly missed your head and full on backhanded that mason jar across the room. Wasn’t his fault the glass shattered when it hit the wall, but he did offer to clean it up.
Even his feathers will detach from their home and come to your aid. Can’t reach something? They’ve already scooped it up and are offering it to you. About to trip over a pair of shoes that got left out? They’re pushing them out of the way. Something’s heavy? Well now they’re carrying it for you.
Yes, they do unconsciously cover you from rain if you’re both caught outside. It’s cliche but damn if it doesn’t make your heart all big and mushy.
Weeks later it was snowing and the two of you were walking in a park because you insisted on seeing the beautiful new scenery. Even with all the clothes, gusts of wind burst through your layers and made you shiver a little. It wasn’t that bad, but suddenly there was one of his wings coming to your rescue. Not only did it wrap carefully around your waist, but his alula arced over your head so you weren’t just getting hugged, you were being surrounded by fuzz and fluff.
Hawks was looking ahead and hadn’t stopped talking, so it was clear he hadn’t realized what he’d done. It wasn’t until you carefully grabbed one of his primary feathers to further bring his wing around you that he broke consciousness and saw what was happening. Christ, he thought, I have to talk to someone about this.
He finally decided to share his findings with you when a particularly heavy makeout session gave his wings enough control to ever-so-carefully slip under your shirt before stiffening and -- rriiippp -- sending the shredded remains to the floor and causing you to cover yourself in utter surprise. Again, his wings had never done that before.
‘The talk’ has nothing to do with changing bodies or how to avoid pregnancy. No, this talk with Hawks involves him sitting you down and haphazardly trying to explain to you that his wings just do stuff when you’re around. He tried to get help from other animal-based quirk users after the day it snowed, and they all said they had experienced the same things: animalistic appendages moving on their own, instincts becoming overwhelmingly powerful for people they hold dear, even making strange noises during times of excitement for that special someone.
It can get embarrassing when others are around because he’s got a persona to maintain and now he can’t control his own limbs so what does that say about his abilities? Someone makes a joke that hits you the wrong way at a gala and suddenly a wing has placed itself in front of you and is pushing you back behind your date. Hawks’s wing had tried to place you under his protection by all but pinning you to his spine. People began to stare when they realized the almighty Hawks had subconsciously tried to protect your honor. That one had been fun to try and explain away.
Someone tried to attack Hawks and you out of the blue one day and triggered both his predatory and protective instincts. A wing lashed out and shoved you back and out of harm's reach. The force was powerful enough to make you fall and almost hit your head. Meanwhile Hawks had become an entirely different creature than the carefree one you had grown too accustomed to.
Now, Hawks isn’t a big guy. He’s average height and got a slim build. However, the sudden intensity of his presence was frightening and growing more powerful by the second as he all but stalked the man who had tried to come after you. Hawks was now an apex hunter cornering his prey with his animalistic gaze alone. Wings came up to make him larger than his opponent, furthering his status as a high ranking animal and crowning him king over his opponent.
Hawks didn’t speak -- he might have even lost the ability to -- and that made him even scarier. Instead he growled deep and powerful with a timber only a beast could perform. This wasn’t a person anymore.
Unbeknownst to you or Hawks, his eyes had constricted to onyx specs hooded by eyelids lowered in powerful contempt for the insufferable cretin that had dared harm his mate in such an underhanded method. At least face him head on like someone of power would do.
You could only see Hawks from the back, but he was still unsettling to watch. You’d never want to be frightened of him, but this was so unexpected.
It was only your scream that brought Hawks out of his hunt. It hadn’t occurred to you during the commotion that the assailant would have a compatriot. You were being dragged away for only a couple of feet before Hawks registered the threat and all but lunged at the woman who had the audacity to lay a hand on you.
Hawks came at you in one movement, so swift and violent you closed your eyes. A gust of wind disturbed your hair, and a weight settled gently over you. For all his ferocity, Hawks stopped on a dime over top of you, hunched low to the ground and incinerating the female attacker with just his eyes.
You weren’t scared now. Sure, Hawks was something entirely different right now, but the way he covered you and kept you close to the ground with his body could only be an action of protection. He had one knee and one foot on either side of your waist, with one hand planted firmly on the ground right next to your head and the other wielding a primary feather as a blade.
His wings fanned out to their maximum reach and skimmed the ground. They were covering any possible blind spots Hawks might have whilst protecting your sight from seeing any lethal damage their owner might cause in the next few seconds. Time slowed enough for one wing to lean down and barely brush your hand in a show of comfort. It was trying to convey to you that you were safe now, and wanted to see if you were okay. Hawks’s wings were sensitive enough to gauge the wellbeing of a person based on a second of contact, and you knew that was what he was unconsciously doing now.
Seeing their odds of success diminishing by the second, the two assailants took off with screams of apology thrown over their shoulders.
There was a pause while Hawks regained his mental acuity and composure. He slowly lowered his head onto your own and breathed in deeply. It was a deeply compassionate action that contrasted sharply with the man of instinct that had pinned you under him only a couple of seconds ago. “You’re okay?”
You were still too jarred to do much other than nod and hum an approval. “Thank you.”
It took him some time to convince himself the threats were gone and to get off of you.
You had a nightmare that same night. Hawks was still waking up when his wings pulled you over to him. You couldn’t remember much of the dream, but it must have been a bad one; you felt fine, but tears were clearly running down your face. Again his wing was there, gentler than a lamb as it wiped the paths of water from your cheeks and dried the corners of your eyes.
The next time you do the dirty, it becomes surprisingly intimate. He totally caught you off guard when his wings wrapped around him to slip under your body and basically hug you to him while you guys are getting down to business. You knew him well enough to see the uncertainty in his face: he’d never felt this way before, or done things like this. This part of him had never been this powerful before and it made him nervous. What if he was changing? What if he was losing himself?
His canines had grown and sharpened so talking was really difficult. All you had to go off of were his eyes of wariness and a hint of shame. For Christ’s sake, he couldn't even speak to you right now. What did that say of him? Hawks felt nothing like himself right now and it was quite unsettling.
The best and only thing you could think of to prove to him was to show that you accepted all of him, even the parts of him he tried not to show or didn’t understand. You manifested that affection in your mouth, and touched it gently to his own. That night was spent cocooned in his rumbling, chesty calls and easing him through the bouts of potent instinctual desire that almost consumed him. He didn’t want to hurt you, and he was worried he would cause you harm with all this emotion and intensity crashing through his blood. Your presence and comforting words helped him keep the worst of it at bay and work through it. After that night you achieved a closeness few could imagine.
If you’re ever in a combat situation, Hawks likes to put you between him and a wall and use his wings to stretch back and cage you in, in a sort of triangle of protection. He knows you’re not weak or anything, he knows that… but he can’t help himself.
You talk to his wings as if Hawks isn’t there. It’s a whole thing. He can’t meet your eyes ‘cause it's cute and he’s not supposed to enjoy it this much so he’s trying not to react. Thankfully you only do these kinds of antics in private. When you coo and gush over them they puff out without warning and rub into you like an overzealous dog.
--------
As a fellow birb I sympathize with this man. It’s okay to like shiny objects Hawks, no one will judge you.

FIRE AND ICE PART THREE - THE END OF IT ALL
Cassian wasn't at the house when you flew back the next morning. Feyre met you in the dining room though, giving you an easy smile and offering you a cup of tea. You took it, hoping she didn't say anything about your puffy eyes. She kept it light, casual. You asked about her painting and summoning wings which she laughed and said "Both could use some work."
Feyre was a constant that you appreciated. She was safe, and tolerable. Like how Mor was, but you felt like you could trust her more. Mor usually lost herself once a week at Ritas. You didn't want any secrets spilling out there by accident.
"If you need me, you know I'm here." She said, tone more hushed and serious now. You could only manage a small shake of your head. You didn't have the heart to say you preferred to suffer in silence. The thought of her reaction made you smile. It put on a good enough show, she smiled back and you felt less guilty without saying anything. You made for your room, trying your best to lull the dull aching in your body from sobbing through the night.
Azriel hadn't left your side the whole time. He didn't say anything besides shushing you when you began blaming yourself for everything falling apart. He had only given you a small wave when you took off together. He flew the opposite way, towards Illyria. You felt colder once he'd left. You didn't know why. You hoped you hadn't scared him off.
You fell into bed with no grace, and were asleep quickly among the fluffy pillows and soft blankets. Cassian's scent lingered on the pillowed side he claimed when he slept there. You turned away from them, curling in on yourself on the opposite side.
+
Dinner with the entire inner circle the next night wasn’t going to be fun.
You didnt talk to Cassian the entire day. You waited for your moment to strike at the dinner. And it made it all worth it just to see his face as you said what you’d been planning all night. “I’m leaving for Illyria in the morning.”
Azriel choked on his wine. Mor’s fork clattered to her plate loudly. Az's eyes were wide, and stared at you with worry. Rhys was calm, maybe a bit too much. You checked your mental shields to make sure he was kept out. They held strong.
“Seeing as I lack the proper training, I will be seeking it out at the war camps.” You then met Cassian’s wide eyes. His shocked stare made you smirk at him bitterly.
“They will clip you.” Az’s voice was little more than a whisper. The thought of it had scared you, yes. But you figured if you were a good enough fighter for the three most powerful Illyrians in history, then you were good enough to take on the likes of Devlon.
You said nothing to Azriel’s grim words. The tension in the room came to a head when Cassian shot out of his chair, knocking it backwards. “You will not.” He growled. Az’s shadows curled like thick smoke around him, and Rhys tensed.
“Why shouldn’t she?” Feyre asked, eyes narrowing at Cassian.
“She dosent know-” Cassian began dismissing.
“I know perfectly well what could happen.” You said with deadly calm. There was a long strained silence after your words. You could practically hear Cas’ teeth grind together.
“Leave us.” Cassian’s tone was an order. The room was deathly silent. He didn't break eye contact with you, just waited for the others to leave.
Mor glanced to Rhys. Feyre’s slight glare did not leave Cassian’s tensed shoulders. Rhys stood slowly, giving the group a gesture. They rose, Azriel last. Then Rhys winnowed them away.
"If it makes you see me as strong I'll train with them."
"You'll be clipped the second you land." His words sent a thrill of terror through you.
"What do you propose instead? I will not stand by for your protecting."
"Just make this easy... please." He leaned against the table, exhausted with the fighting. "Dont go there. Even if it means.."
"If it means I can't be with you?" You interjected. The entire world seemed to still. You stopped breathing. They seemed to echo through the dining space. The wind did not make the curtains bellow in the welcoming way they usually did. Your heart slammed in your chest, waiting for his reply.
It was a long wait. But finally - “So you’re leaving me?” He asked, voice rough.
“It seems you give me no other choice. You cant keep treating me like I’m your paper doll, Cassian.”
The words stung more when they actually came out, instead of the reherals you’d done in your head. They made your throat go tight and your hands shake. You loved him. You knew that. He knew that. But you loved your independence from him more.
“I just-” He held his head in his hands, his face going red. “I need you.” He sighed.
“Then be with me!” You were reaching the end of your rope. Your ability to keep going through this with him was wearing thin. This dance of ‘I love you ‘ and ‘prove it’ was ending. You could feel it, as sure as winter was in the air.
His shoulders shook. Then, you realized he was sobbing. You clamped down on the urge to comfort him. “If leaving you is going to keep you from going to that camp…” He regained his composure. When he finally looked at you again, his eyes were red. His voice shook, “Then at least give me a kiss goodbye.” His lips trembled as he said the words.
The truth of the situation snapped into place. This was it. This was the only conclusion that would have been made, in the end. Your stomach twisted and flipped in all sorts of new ways. Seeing him so weak, so defeated like you’d never seen before made your mind spin. One of the strongest Illyrians ever was crying… over you. One of the best males you’d ever met was there crying… because you both knew the ending to your story together.
You couldn’t handle it anymore. The floodgates broke and you were sobbing, in his arms in an instant.
=====================
The next week went by incredibly slowly. You remained nearly catatonic the first two days. Only getting out of bed to use the bathroom. Feyre visited, tried to talk to you. But without you answering back, she went to reading at the couch next to the side of the bed. You turned away, trying not to stare at the pillows scattered on the opposite wall. All the ones Cassian had ever touched - anything that smelled remotely of him.
==========================
Mor finally forced you from bed. Getting up was much much harder than it sounded. She prodded you into getting dressed, and eventually got you down to the city streets for some ‘quality time with the real world’.
“Cassian will-”
“Cassian isn’t here. It’s about you right now.” She flicked hair from her face. Your mind ran wild. Wasn’t here?
“What do you mean?”
“Rhys took him to the continent for some boy time. Az went too. My guess is so that Cassian can’t destroy any buildings in Velaris while he’s on his bender.”
Guilt was the last nail in the coffin. You stood in the middle of the busy sidewalk, not caring that other Fae bumped into you or gave you dirty looks. “I need to apologize..” You managed through the tightness in your throat.
“No- no no no, hey.” She took your hand and started pulling you along again. You fought away the tears that stung your eyes. They were cool when you blinked them away, the cold nip in the air numbing your face enough so you didnt feel the corners of your eyes beading with the tears.
“We are going to have fun. You’re coming to Rita’s with me.” She shimmied her hips as you followed her down the familiar alleyway. “Is this really a good idea?” You sighed, offering the door keeper a silver coin. The male nodded and gave you a wolfish grin as you passed him by.
Mor paused in the doorway and eyed up the lights, the dancers on stage. “This is a perfect idea. Trust me.”
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You lost yourself in dancing and drinking. It felt so good to let go. Mor kept a watchful eye on you the entire night, but still had fun. She brought you drinks when you were nearly empty, keeping you fueled.
You stumbled out close to dawn. Mor winnowed you to a nearby rooftop. You spun, your head swimming in alcohol. "Easy..." She steadied you, holding your arm tightly. You didnt know when your thoughts became your speaking voice, but she was replying to you. You blinked at her slowly, the buzz of the alcohol making you slow and sleepy.
"This is all a mess. I love him, but Azriel just..." You ran your hands through your greasy hair. You couldnt remember the last time you'd bathed. Mor gave you a grim smile. "I know... I've had to make similar choices." She put a hand on your shoulder and squeezed slightly.
You didn't particularly want to think of her with the same male as you. Or the fact that Azriel had pined after her for so long. Or that she and Cassian definitely had a similar history. You hoped you didn't utter the words to her though. Mor was your friend.
"They are both special males. You need to make the right choice for you though." She pulled you down to the cold rooftop. You knocked your head a bit too hard on the ground, making her choke back a laugh. "It is your life that you decide. Not theirs, they will make their choices." Her hand squeezed yours reassuringly. The stars above shimmered and lulled you
You couldn't bear to speak with her pulling you apart with her words. With all the truth in the world hiding behind her eyes- buried in her soul. All the answers you knew you didn't want to know right now.
So you let yourself fall into the darkness that bordered the stars, drifting to sleep easily.
+
You avoided the Illyrian males as best you could when they returned. You spent most of your time either asleep in your room after drinking, sparring with Feyre or at Ritas. It was a cycle you grew very accustom to. It worked. It kept your mind off him. Off of the heartbreak.
Mor couldn't drink with you the next week. She had 'important business' in the Hewn city or something similar. So you walked to Rita's alone, sat at your usual table and watched the dancers. By your fourth drink you had joined them. You threw yourself into the delight of drink and merriment with strangers. Various hands caressed your body, the group writhed with you. A living being on the dancefloor, all moving together.
It made you feel whole again. You didn't have to think about Cassian's words, or how he thought you weak. Didnt have to think about the pain you caused him. The worries slipped away with each drink.
You were escorted to the street by a bouncer, along with a few other fae that had been a bit too rowdy. You couldn't hear what was said but it sounded something like 'go home'. You sat on the sidewalk, taking a moment for yourself. The stars above were shrouded by a cover of fog. It would be a cold morning. You could feel it in your wings, the soft leather was raised with goosebumps.
"I've been waiting for you." The voice was familiar, but it took you a moment to put your finger on it. Azriel. You grinned at him, wobbling when you took your eyes off the stars. His eyes seemed darker than usual, those shadows of his sluggishly crept around him. Around both of you, you realized when you felt them creep up your legs.
"Why didn't you join me?" You slurred, shooing his tendrils of darkness off of you. They skittered back to his shoulders, wrapping over him like a coat. His face went a bit flushed at whatever they returned to him.
He held a hand out to you, offering to help you up. "Rita's isn't exactly my style." He grinned, hauling you to your feet with his scarred hands. They were remarkably soft, and warm. You hadn't expected the welcome heat from them against your chilled fingertips.
"Then what is, shadowsinger?"
His gaze was long and full of questions. "I can show you another time. Let's get you back." He walked you to the middle of the street and took off with you gently, getting you used to flying again. He supported you the entire way, you knew you were drifting. He didn't say anything about it, just corrected and pointed to the landing when you were nearing. He landed first, and caught you when you nearly fell on your face from your rough landing. He couldn't hide the amusement. "Shut up." You shoved him slightly.
"Do you want me to put you to bed?" He asked, not condescendingly like the words suggested. But genuinely. It made your heart stutter. You stammered - "Ah, no.. No I know where it is." You began walking that way.
"I hope so." He watched you go down the hall. Then, once he heard your door click shut (A bit too loud for normal) He took off again, into the night sky.

(Y/N) Midoriya, back from the dead it seems.
Her reappearance was nothing short of a miracle. Aizawa, knowing it was only appropriate, allowed Izuku to go along with his sister and share the groundbreaking news with their mother. The tired teacher did have to make them both promise to be back for the final class of the day though: hero training.
After patching up the elder Midoriya’s wounds, the duo hit the streets of Musutafu, heading to the apartment of Inko Midoriya. Taking this time to catch up a little on the years that were stripped away from them, Izuku began right after she was deemed deceased. He recalled the suffocating feelings of hopelessness both him and their mother felt, how neither would dare go into her room and how it seemed impossible to move forward.
(Y/N), who remained silent throughout the retelling of the past, couldn't bear the thought of her family in such a heartbreaking state. The mere mention of their despair shattered her own heart and she momentarily fell into a dark and depressing mindset: if only she had been stronger back then, maybe then she would have made it home safe and sound... She’s the reason they were--
"But, now that you're back I think things will get better for all of us. We can try and go back to how we used to be!" Izuku smiled, his optimism a truly admirable trait. All (Y/N) could do was nod and pray that that was what was going to happen - that things will go back to some sense of normal one day.
After all, years lost don't heal instantly just because she’s returned.
It wasn't long before a familiar apartment door came into view. Though, with its impending approach, so did a wave of nervousness which bubbled up within the Pro Hero. What would her mother's reaction be? How much has she changed? How mad will she be? Would she actually believe that her daughter is alive or will she turn her away and deny it?
These thoughts swirled within her head and coming home started to appear more and more like a mistake.
“It’ll be alright (Y/N)-chan, there's no need to be afraid. Mom will love to see you again, I just know it,” Izuku grinned, nudging his sister. She wasn’t fully convinced, but it was now or never she guessed. So, urged on by the teens encouragement she straightened up, swallowed the lump and fears she had before knocking on the cold, steel grey door. What felt like ages passed by until the creak of the door filled the silent afternoon air. The world slowed almost agonizingly as the second most important person in her life that she's missed oh so dearly started to come into view.
"Yes? Who is it?" A sweet, feminine voice called out, sounding no different to (Y/N) than it did years ago; that thought alone brought an ounce of comfort with it.
Eyes hot and brimming with unshed tears, the mere sound of her mother’s voice was a lot to take in that first anticipated; what nearly broke the dam was coming face to face with the woman herself - no doubt at any moment she’ll start bawling. It didn't matter how much her mother changed, it never really did, the effect was always going to be the same.
"Mom...?" she struggled to voice out, any and every sound she made broken and with a sob on the tip of her tongue, "I-I'm home..."
Recognition sparked in Ink’s green shaded eyes. (Y/N) could've said nothing at all or a simple few words, this as well didn’t matter, either way Inko would've instantly recognized who was at her door. A mother can always make out the voice and visage of her child no matter the differences there may be.
Tears began to stream down the woman's face, overcome with a multitude of different emotions as she barreled into her long lost daughter. And with the feeling of being able to hug her mother again, (Y/N) too let the tears flow, composure be damned. This was more important. Nothing, absolutely nothing can compare to the feeling of being reunited with one another.
---
Afternoon passed by far too fast for the Midoriya family. Inko, hesitant to let her children go after just getting one back, had to gain reassurance from them both (something she definitely needed): they’re only going to the school, and classes end in just a little over two hours - they'd both be back in no time.
Hero training began soon after the pair returned and instructions were given to the class of aspiring heroes, all of which were spread out across Gym Gamma. The exercise for today? Save the civilians and capture the villains. An easy mission for most Pro Heroes who've been out in the field for some time, but definitely challenging to newbies in quite a few ways.
When the bell went off many rushed forward to the front entrance to their respective buildings, some being flashier and more noticeable than others *cough Bakugou cough*. (E/c) eyes stayed on one person and one person only, hellbent on watching her brother. She both wants and needs to know how much he's grown since he was a kid.
Izuku on the other hand was shaking unnoticeably for once; nothing more than a tremor of his hands. He's nervous, obviously, but also ecstatic; the one who kept telling him that he could become a hero even without possessing a quirk, the one who decided to train him and give him a chance - she's here, not too far away from the training grounds. It’s a dream come true.
He’s got to show his favourite hero (other than All Might) that he's grown from the quirkless little boy she knew once upon a time. That all that she gave him didn't go to waste. He has to put his all into this one, more so than ever before - his hero is watching.
"Alright here's the plan-," the coms had a moment of static but (Y/N) could tell that her brother was continuing on with giving orders and guidance to his teammates. From her spot in the observation room she recognized a look in his eye - the analytic look he had when he jotted down notes about other Pro Heroes, their quirks, movements, attack patterns. He was evaluating the situation, choosing the best course of action.
'That's right Izu, know your surroundings. Where is everything, what can you do with what and who you have...'
In the closing minutes of training, Izuku delivered a Full Cowl kick and right then, as he was able to maintain control of his attack, execute it beautifully while still showing off all his progress, it finally hit (Y/N).
All these years, even without her around to give pointers or encourage him, Izuku continued on his own to strive towards his dreams, never fully losing hope. And he’s living those dreams, actually living them: he’s made it to UA, he’s training to be a hero, he even developed a quirk for crying out loud!
As school ended, students changing back into their uniforms and leaving for the day, (Y/N) waited just outside the gates. Izuku called out to her as soon as she came into view, the returned hero perking up. She waited until the greenette stopped right in front of her before pulling the boy into a tight embrace.
“You were pretty cool today Izuku,” she told him, tone soft like he was back to being four again.
“R-really!?” he pulled back from the hug, tears resting at the edge of his eyes. That’s all he’s ever wanted to hear from the person he’s looked up to since he was a kid. (Y/N) nodded, smiling softly as she patted him on the shoulder, eyes softening and almost reminiscent. He truly has grown...
“Yeah… see, you can become a hero. I always knew you could do it…”
The dam of tears bursted for the young hero, his arms wrapping his older sister up in a hug once more, fingers clutching the fabric of her top. She made no move to pry him off, letting him get it all out as the sun set behind the two, casting their shadows on the pavement.
The future was looking pretty bright for them.

14. Red lipstick and cigarettes 💋🚬(Angel)
Summary: You and Angel broke up weeks ago and haven’t had any form of contact since, but when luck has you both end up at the same bar, the flame reignites.
Request: Aesthetics 14 with Angel, happy ending
Pairing: Angel Reyes x reader
Warnings: Mentions of breakups, heartbreak, angst but with a happy ending
Word count: 1.4K
A/N: Can someone tell me why this “drabble” is 1.4k when my regular stories struggle to hit that many 🥴
Angel takes another sip from his beer before putting the bottle down, his ringed hand coming up to bring the half-gone cigarette up to his lips. He takes a long drag, lungs burning as he holds it in for longer than usual, a cloud of smoke billowing around him as he lets out a slow breath. The cloud surrounds him and he can't help but see it as a demonstration of how he's felt lately.
Cloudy.
Hazy.
Out of focus.
It's been weeks since you and he had split, and despite what everyone had said, it had not gotten easier. On the contrary. It seemed like every day it got even harder to deal with. It had been mutual; both of you agreeing that Angel just wasn't around as much as you wanted him to be. The club took a lot of his time, and his side business with Los Olvidados took up even more. You missed him and while he wanted nothing more than to give you every little bit of his attention, the club had to come first. It had been heartbreaking, tears shed on both sides, but you both knew that it was for the better. Best to break things off civilly before it came to a head and lead to a blow-up.
Even still, it wasn't something that either of you wanted, more a necessary evil. You had kept your distance, neither of you contacting the other nor meeting up. You had stayed away from the clubhouse, something that had proven harder than you had anticipated. EZ and Coco had taken Angel out to a local bar, hoping to get the Mayan to relax and let go for the night. It had proven difficult, Angel simply smoking and drinking in near silence, only speaking when spoken to. When he heard your voice, he figured it was just his imagination, his brain taunting him for his decision to let you go. He scoffed, disgusted with his own mind for toying with him like that. It wasn't until he heard your voice again, closer this time as it ordered your favorite drink that he sat up straighter, head whipping around to look down the bar.
And there you were, arms resting on the shiny counter as you leaned forward, talking to the bartender.
You looked stunning.
Your skin was glowing, the warm lights in the bar casting shadows and accenting highlights. He could see the slight shimmer on your shoulder, knowing exactly which lotion you were wearing. And he could smell you then, his brain tapping into his senses. He could remember running the tip of his nose along your shoulder blade as you rubbed the lotion into your skin after a shower, the scent of you intoxicating. You looked the same too, though the red on your lips was something a bit new. You only wore it every now and then, when the mood struck you. Angel could remember vividly the time he had left your house in a rush early in the morning, only to be teased by the guys for the lipstick behind his ear that he had missed in the shower. It was an elbow to the ribs that drew his attention away from you and back to Coco.
"Stop staring, you look creepy as fuck."
Angel scoffed, waving his hand dismissively before turning to look back at you. When he did, his heart jumped, finding your eyes on him now. They were wide, clearly not having expected to see him there. The corner of your mouth turned up slightly and he nodded once, returning his own pisspoor excuse of a smile. He looked away first, not wanting to make you uncomfortable. He'd be lying if he said it wasn't also to keep his composure.
The soft-touch to his back startled him and he looked behind him, ready to tell whichever woman it was that he wasn't interested. But there's your voice again.
"Hey."
He turned to look at you and unsurprisingly, you look even more beautiful than he remembers you. His voice is breathless as he responds.
"Hey, querida."
You looked to EZ and Coco then, offering them hugs before coming to stand closer to Angel again.
"Sorry, didn't want to just ignore you and not say hi."
All three nodded, Angel's eyes still glued to you as the other two shared a look. EZ was standing then, Coco following suit.
"We're gonna go get some air, we'll be back. Good seeing you."
It was tense and awkward, the two other Mayans missing you but not wanting to anger Angel by making it seem like they were trying to rope you back in. With it being only the two of you now, Angel swallowed before pointing to the seat Coco had just been in.
"You wanna sit, or..."
He could see the hesitation on your face, not knowing what was the best choice, and his mouth was moving before his brain could keep up as per usual.
"I want you to."
Your eyes were warm as they landed back on him and you nodded softly, your voice even softer as you took a seat.
"Ok."
There was an awkward silence, neither of you knowing what to say. Angel spoke first, going with the option of full transparency.
"I miss you."
The sad smile that graced your lips had him wanting to wrap you up in his arms at once, but he refrained. With a nod, you agreed.
"I miss you too."
It was the tears welling in your eyes that sealed it for him as he pushed closer to you, his knees against yours as he placed his hand on your back, his own heart pained.
"Don't cry, mama."
You chuckled, though there was nothing funny, your hand coming up to dab at your eye.
"Last person I thought I would bump into tonight was you."
Angel nodded, offering a small smile.
"If it makes you feel any better, I wasn't expecting that shit either."
There was a bit of silence then, Angel biting his lip as he swallowed down the urge to just take you into his arms. With his fingers running up and down your back, he sighed, looking back over at where you had been to see your friends there, the women quickly looking away under his gaze. You chuckled again, sitting up straighter now that the overwhelming emotion had subsided.
"They brought me out to try and get over you. I can see EZ and Coco did the same."
"And how's that working out?"
Angel's question was direct and so were his eyes as they stared down at you. With a shrug, you answered.
"Obviously not great if I'm sitting here crying in a bar."
The Mayan chuckled and so did you, the chemistry between the two of you so intense it burned.
"Wanna go for a ride? I only had one beer."
You looked at Angel as he offered, the hope clear in his eyes. With a nod, you smiled genuinely for the first time in what felt like forever. Holding his hand out, Angel helped you stand, tossing a bill onto the bartop.
"You wanna tell your friends? I can take you home after."
"Yeah. I'll grab my purse and meet you outside."
Angel nodded, leaning down to press a soft and slow kiss to your forehead before walking toward the exit. Coco and EZ were leaning against the wall, both wincing as they saw him walk out alone.
"She didn't wanna hear it?"
Angel was about to answer when you came out behind him, throwing a small wave at the boys who were now smiling instead. They waved back and stood back up straight.
"We'll see you tomorrow then."
Angel nodded, a little bit of light back in his eyes.
"Yeah, I'll see you."
The two of them were walking back inside then, leaving you and your ex, though it felt like things might not be staying that way. The love that the two of you had was too strong to throw away over tough times. Holding his hand out once again, Angel looked at you as he waited.
"You wanna try us out again?"
Your nod was confident as you gazed at him, a tiny sparkle back in your eyes.
"I'd rather have you only sometimes than not at all."
That was a sentiment that Angel could agree with and he grinned, his hand encasing yours as he walked with you toward his parked bike, happy to know he was going to have his girl with him once again.

Skald(Bakugou x Reader)
Part one:
Warnings: werewolf Bakugou, arranged marriage, Viking Bakugou, slightly out of character Bakugou, A/B/O verse, soulmate verse, love triangles
Summary: an alliance is made between the werewolves and humans. That’s all I can say for now
“She’s mad and she’s magic. There’s no lie in her fire.” -Charles Bukowski
“Every single part, is who you’re meant to be, and you were meant for me, and you’re everything I need.” -Skylar Grey
Y/N kicked Asger hard, sending her sparring partner to the ground. She smirked, righting herself and sheathing her sword once more.
“‘S good Your highness. You get better every day.” She basked in the praise. It felt good to be acknowledged as more than just the Chieftain's daughter. She was a warrior, just like her brothers and sisters. “Next time though,” he barreled into her, knocking her to the ground. “Plant your feet. Never let the enemy give you a surprise.” He reached down, helping her back up.
“Thank you Asger. It means a lot that you’re willing to spar with me.” Not many of their clan would. She was.....she was the Chieftain's daughter. If she got hurt heads would inevitably roll. He smiled, nudging her gently.
“Don’t tell your father I was rough with you and we’re good eh?” She laughed. He pulled out his drinking horn, taking a drink of mead before handing it to her. She drank from it gratefully.
“Y/N!” She rolled her eyes, hearing the loud bark of her father. Chief Hagen was a huge man. 6’7, dark hair braided down his back and shaved down the sides, a burly beard and rosy nose. He was intimidating beyond words and Asger quickly turned on his heel after snatching his gourd back.
“faðir(father)” she reached for him as he wrapped an arm around her and hugged her tightly to him, kissing the top of her head.
“barnið mitt(my child). Was Asger rough with you?” He asked. Y/N shook her head.
“No. He just told me to make sure my feet are planted and sparred me a bit.” Hagen nodded, eyes following Asger’s retreating form. He sighed, looking back at his daughter with a smile.
“Your mother and I have something we would like to discuss with you. Will you come home?” She nodded, following behind her father.
Their home was the largest in the village. A big stone building with wooden posts and a solid foundation. Oydis, Y/N’s mother, was outside, shelling green beans with her grandmother. Nana Rhigda smiled at her as they approached.
“Nana.” Y/N said, stopping to kiss the older woman on the cheek. Her skin was withered and cold beneath her lips.
“Sweet girl,” her mother said, garnering her attention away from her grandmother. “We need to speak with you privately”. Oydis held out her hand, gripping her daughter firmly as the three of them walked into their home.
Katsuki was shifting back into human form when his father came to collect him. The boy was pulling his trousers up his legs when he turned and saw him, Chieftain of their clan, walking towards him. Katsuki paused his movements, set on edge by the look on his father’s face.
“Good hunt Katsuki?” he asked. Katsuki nodded.
“Three deer. ‘Spose itll be good for winter once the women dry the meat out.” He had caught two of them. He loved the thrill of the chase, attacking something, wrestling it to the ground and tearing it apart with his fangs. The power was intoxicating.
“That’s good...care to go for a walk?” this surprised Katsuki further. He was never asked to go on walks with his father unless the conversation was serious and needed to be away from prying eyes. Katsuki followed him down the stony path towards the ocean, where the long boats sat on shore, gazing out at the horizon.
“Is everything alright?” he asked. His father nodded.
“The pack is doing very well. We’re thriving actually. But you know as well as I do that, that can change in a moment.” He snapped his fingers. “‘S why alliances are so important. Especially for Werepeople. We aren’t human. And humans can be fickle things. They let fear run their heart and they hate anything they don’t understand.” they stopped infront of one of the boats, His turned to look at him fully. “‘S why I’ve made an alliance with the Helvig Clan...you’re to marry their eldest daughter, Y/N, within a fortnight.” Katsuki’s heart nearly burst out of his chest, he looked at his father with wide eyes.
“W...What?”
“No….I...I’m not ready to marry.” Y/N said, shaking her head. Oydis put her arm around her daughter, rubbing her thumb against Y/N’s shoulder to try and calm her. Her father stood in front of her, face stern and unchanging.
“It’s already been decided.” Hagen said. “It….Its our life on the line sweetheart. Or family. Our tribe. This alliance is a powerful one. With Werepeople on our side we can be unstoppable.” Y/N shook her head, tears falling down her face.
“I don’t...I don’t want to marry someone I don’t love.” Hagen swallowed hard. He loved all of his children, and if there was another way, he would take it over his daughter’s tears in a heartbeat. “You will meet Katsuki tonight at dinner.”
Hana waited by their tree. It was a little after the time they had set to meet and she worried. Katsuki was never late. Not when it came to meeting, their secret moments when they could be alone together.
She was picking petals off a flower when she heard his familiar footfalls, turning to launch herself into his arms. He caught her and held her tightly, pressing soft kisses to the skin of her neck.
“Hello my love.” he whispered. His heart was breaking but he kept up his composure. It was Hana he wanted to marry, to be with. But those dreams had been shattered with one conversation.
“Katsu?” she whispered, pulling back from him, she kissed his cheeks, as he rested his forehead against hers. She smelled heavenly. “What’s wrong?”
“You’re going to hate me.” he mumbled. She shook her head.
“Never darling. What’s wrong?” He took her in, studied her dark hair, the bright blue eyes, soft pink lips. What other woman could compare to her. The girl he had loved for three years now.
“I’m to be married.” Hana felt as though someone had struck her hard across the face.
“W..What?”
“An alliance. I’m to be married within a fortnight.” Now Hana couldn’t stop her own tears. Katsuki held her close.
“I love you.” she cried into his shoulder. He nodded, swallowing thickly.
“I know.”
Y/N was nervous. She had never been interested in anyone and no one had ever fancied her before. But her mother and grandmother bathed her, washed her hair and placed perfume on her body. They put a crown of white lilies in her hair and a maroon satin dress on her. Oydis placed her hand on her daughter’s rosy cheek.
“You look beautiful my girl. Absolutely stunning.” Hagen stuck his head into the room, mouth parting slightly when he saw his eldest daughter. Gone was the tomboy he adored, now stood before him a young maiden, ready to be married off. It broke his heart a little.
“They,” he cleared his throat. “They’re here. Is the meal prepped?” Hagen couldn’t look at his daughter. He would cry and he couldn’t do that.
“Everything is ready son,” Rhagid said, waving him away. “Bring them in and we will bring her out.”
It was a smaller village than their own, but it looked quite cozy. Katsuki walked stiffly beside his father, as His father led him to the largest of the long houses. Before knocking He turned to Katsuki.
“I know this is hard for you son….but with time comes love. If you don’t love her now you will. It did for me and your mother.” Katsuki looked at him in shock.
“You...you and mom were-”
“Arranged? Yes. And I was a horrible husband in the beginning….” he ran a hand through his hair. “I loved another before her you see? And I kept going back to her. I didn’t….I refused to see how it hurt your mother. Until the day she threatened me with divorce. We managed to work things out, and I fell for her madly. But in the beginning I never gave her a chance.” he placed a hand on his son’s shoulder, looking him in the eyes. “All I’m asking is, give her a chance. You’re a good man. Be a better man than I was to your mumma.”
Hagen opened the door to his home widely and warmly, smiling at the fellow Chief and nodding in respect. He looked at the boy that would be marrying his daughter. He was about 5’7, blonde spikey hair, and brilliant red eyes. He nodded at Hagen who did the same in return before welcoming them in.
“Smile darling. It’s not the end of the world.” Oydis said softly to her daughter. Hagen shouted from the main area, bidding them to come. The women stood, the older two exiting first and then, the girl to be married.
Katsuki’s breath came out sharp and short when his eyes met his bride’s for the first time. She was a beauty, beyond anything he could have imagined her being But there was something else, something warm that he had never felt with Hana. This woman’s scent called to him, it was of honey and brown sugar, of lilies and roses. It was intoxicating.
“May I present my daughter? Y/N.” Hagen took his daughter’s hand, bringing her forward. Katsuki felt his father’s hand on his back, pushing him forward as well. Hagen reached out, holding his hand out for Katsuki, who took it blindly, he was still gazing at his wife to be. When Hagen placed their hands together, warmth shot up Katsuki’s arm, causing him to shiver. Y/N’s eyes went wide and her breath stuttered, she was most likely feeling the same thing he was. When she finally looked him in the eye he nodded, an unreadable expression on his face.
“Hello.”
Dinner was an event. The men were rowdy. Y/N’s brothers talking and laughing loudly with Katsuki and his father. Katsuki liked to boast and brag. That was the first thing she noticed about him. He bragged about his victories and hunts, pridefully puffing out his chest. Hagen seemed to get along well with Katsuki’s father and that eased Y/N’s fears a little. Her father would never give her to someone who could hurt her. He loved his girl too much and she was the only daughter.
Katsuki sat close to her but didn’t speak much to her, and when she tried to engage him, he cast her off, rolling his eyes. But with one stern look from his father he stopped, swallowing hard as he looked down at her.
“After dinner, we can go for a ride. I mean….if you’re not chicken shit?” Werewolves courted in a different way than humans, usually going for hunts and runs together to bond. But a werewolf had never been mated to a human before, so Katsuki was a little lost. But if she would trust him enough to go for a ride, maybe things could be good. If they could not be lovers, they could be allies.
Y/N smiled, nodding her head. “Will you shift?” she asked. Katsuki snorted, taking her hand in his.
“Of course. It’s the only way you’d be able to keep up.” she narrowed her eyes slightly, challenging him a bit.
“Don’t underestimate me.” he laughed again, placing an awkward kiss to her cheek. This surprises even him, he hadn’t meant to be so forward. But he didnt mind her. She was kind and could keep up with his banter. So she had that going for her.
“I would never.” the two of them stood, unnoticed by the dinning party, who were telling stories and passing around the drinking gourd. Katsuki led her outside and they walked the small path towards the woods. Once shrouded in darkness he let go of her hands, taking a few steps back away from her.
“Look away. Don’t want you to see.” Y/N turned, squeezing her eyes shut as she began to hear the snap and crack of bone, Katsuki’s grunts and growls becoming more and more animalistic as the snapping increased. And then there was silence.
Y/N felt breath, hot and heavy on the back of her neck and then something wet nudging her.
Katsuki was worried that seeing him in wolf form would frighten her. But she gazed at him curiously, studying him. He wished he could speak to her, but she would’t hear him. She wasn’t a wolf, there was no link there.
“You are….magnificent.” she whispered. He was huge, with shaggy yellow fur, his red eyes glowing as he watched her. She reached out, hesitating just as she was about to touch him, Katsuki bowed his head, grumbling lowly when she scratched behind his ears. She made him feel dizzy, lightheaded.
“Be a better man than me.” Katsuki decided he would. He would treat his little wife with respect at least. He would do the best he could.

ANTHONY BEAUVILLIER | THE WAY BACK HOME
A/N: Honestly the amount of excitement I received from people when I told them what I’m working on has been amazing. From brainstorming in the middle of the night to finding ‘the perfect sentence’ during dinner, it’s been one hell of a ride together. So thank you to anyone who shared my excitement over this story. I hope you all enjoy this one as much as I did!
Warnings: Angst, a lot of tears, some swearwords, soft Tito.
Word Count: 5.8K
They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder. They say time will heal all wounds. They say all kinds of things, but you know deep down they aren’t true, it isn’t that easy. Your chest still tightens almost painfully every time his name comes up, every time you hear something, anything about him. It hurts, even after all these years apart.
It wasn’t a mutual decision to break things off, it was your decision. A decision that until this day is the hardest one you ever made, still doubting if you made the right choice. It seemed like the most logical solution, break things off with Anthony so you can see more of the world. Anthony was already drafted, playing his ass off in the league to prove himself. You didn’t and couldn’t ask him to give that up, it was his dream. Just like it was your dream to travel the world and see all the amazing things this planet had to offer.
You can remember the conversation you had with Anthony word by word. It still haunts you, it still makes unwanted appearances in your dreams, nightmares, everywhere. He begged you, oh he begged you to stay, to try long distance, to try anything except breaking up. You cried, trying to get him to see your point, trying to convince him letting go was the right option, even though you weren’t truly convinced yourself.
It was the hardest thing you ever did, leaving both of you heartbroken. His face, swollen eyes, tears streaming down his face still make you tear up whenever it pops back into your mind. Opening the door of your apartment and closing it behind you broke you. Leaving behind the guy you were hopelessly in love with, the guy you wanted to spend the rest of your life with, your soulmate, it was an experience you don’t wish upon anyone. It wrecked you, closing the door, not only to your apartment, but also to him, to his heart, and even to your own heart.
You broke his heart that day, breaking your own in the process. Never, not even a minute, you felt whole again. It always felt like there was something missing and you knew what it was. It was him. You missed him all those years ago, and you still miss him now. Nothing changed for you, your feelings for Anthony haven’t changed. You still love him as much as you did when you were in a relationship with him.
You can’t help but wonder if he ever thinks about you. Do you ever cross his mind? Does his chest still tighten when you come up in a conversation? Does he still scroll through the endless pictures trying to remember all the good times you two shared? Because you do, every damn time. Anthony is like a ghost of your past, always present, never leaving you alone. You’re not even sure if you want him to leave you alone at this point. You’d rather have those memories, those feelings, those pictures than nothing.
It would mean that it’s over for real, and that’s something you aren’t ready for yet. It might sound stupid, keeping hope after all these years. But it’s the one thing that kept you going after you realized your massive mistake. Often you wonder if it’s all been worth it. You traveled the world, visited all the places you dreamed of, ate all the crazy things you could imagine, but you did it all alone. You did everything without him. Sure, you made friends along the way, but it’s different.
It has never been the same, you barely remember what life before Anthony felt like. You sure as hell know how life after Anthony feels like, and you hate every single second of it. As soon as the adrenaline, the thrill of traveling alone wore off you knew. You knew you fucked up, you fucked up big time.
You’ve come to the conclusion you should’ve handled things differently. You try to blame it on yourself, you even try to blame it on Anthony even though you know that isn’t fair, you try to come up with a reasonable explanation, but you were just young and stupid. Oh, you were so stupid. How could you let him go like that? Why did you let him go like that? You could scream, yell, cry, but it doesn’t make you feel any better. Why? Why did you have to do it that way?
Your mind doesn’t stop thinking tonight, making it awfully hard to fall asleep. You twist and turn, utterly frustrated with yourself. Another night spent looking at your ceiling, thinking about everything that could’ve been. It’s almost a habit now, torturing yourself with memories and scenarios that won’t ever happen. You royally fucked up and this is how you cope. Healthy? Nope, definitely not, but it does feel like you deserve this.
You’ve been back in New York for a few weeks, deciding to stop traveling after almost 3 years of nonstop planes, boats and busses. It was only logical to come home. New York still feels like home to you, with or without Anthony. You didn’t have to give it a second thought, until you realized you made it more and more difficult for yourself to get over Anthony. You forgot he isn’t the rookie anymore, who still has to prove himself. He proved himself, and it seems like you can’t go anywhere without hearing or seeing something about him.
The thought crosses your mind for just a second. Just like it did last night and the night before. Your fingers itch to grab your phone and message him, call him even. You have no idea if he still has the same number, for all you know he could’ve blocked you the moment you walked out of that door. You shouldn’t do it, you know you shouldn’t, but you want to, you want to so bad. You just want to hear his voice, his laugh, you just want to hear him.
With shaking hands you grab your phone, the bright light blinding you for a second. You scroll through your contacts, until you come across his name. His nickname brings a smile to your face, it’s been a while since you’ve seen it. Your finger hovers over his number, while you’re trying to collect your thoughts. You have no idea what you’re going to say to him if he picks up. What if he doesn’t pick up? Fuck, no, you don’t need to think like that right now.
“Come on, y/n. Just do it,” you mumble to yourself, trying to convince yourself that this is a good idea. You take a deep breath and press on his number. Heart beating in your chest, the panic rising inside your chest. You bring the phone to your ear, begging, praying you’ll hear it ring. Never felt seconds this long, it feels like hours went by before you hear that dreaded message, your worst fear confirmed.
‘The number you're trying to reach has been disconnected.’
“Fuck!” you cry out, holding the phone tightly against your chest. No longer able to hide your emotions you let it all go. Tears streaming down your face, you grab your phone like it’s your lifeline, like it’s the only thing that will keep you grounded. You sob against your pillow, letting the pain, the grief consume you. It isn’t fair, it shouldn’t go like this, is this what you deserve for abandoning him all those years ago? Maybe this is a sign, a sign to move on, to give up.
At some point you fell asleep, utterly exhausted by all your intrusive thoughts, crying until the early morning light seeped through your curtains. You blink a few times, before groaning into your pillow. You’d almost think you’re hungover, because that headache for sure doesn’t lie.
After failing to fall back asleep you force yourself out of bed and into the shower. The hot water soothes your skin, and you try, you try so hard to keep the tears away. But you can’t stop them from falling, letting the water wash them away. You continue your shower routine through your tears, scrubbing your skin until it sees red. Eventually you calm down again, gaining back some composure.
It’s when you’re brushing your teeth that you look into the mirror for the first time. You would laugh at your reflection if you weren’t feeling so shitty. You’re glad it’s your day off, no amount of makeup can help you with this. You put on your makeup, trying to at least hide some of the puffiness around your eyes. You sigh, while walking over to your closet, grabbing a pair of skinny jeans and your favorite sweater.
You lounge around in your apartment for a few hours, entertaining yourself with some mind-numbing show on Netflix, before you decide you definitely need to get out of here for a while. It’s been a while since you just walked around the city and simply enjoyed the familiar buildings and people. You decide it’s the perfect activity to do right now, making a mental note to grab something to eat later, food is the last thing on your mind right now. Grabbing your jacket on the way out, you head into the city, trying to clear your mind and soul.
It’s funny how much a city can change in almost 3 years, but also stay exactly the same. There are so many new shops, but the sweet man on the corner of the street is still there. You smile at him, while he gives you a nod in return. It’s nice to be outside again, feeling the rays of sunshine on your skin.
Your walk comes to an abrupt stop when you end up on a street you weren’t planning on visiting any time soon. All your daydreaming probably led you to this place. You’ve been walking on autopilot for a while, so familiar surroundings turned into familiar patterns, steering you into the direction you walked every single day for months.
You catch yourself thinking about the possibilities of walking in and knocking on his door, or catching Anthony as he leaves the apartment. “This is a stupid idea, even for you,” you mumble, shaking your head at the fact that you’re even considering it. Without giving it a second thought you walk inside, burying your hands inside your pockets to keep them from shaking.
It’s a weird feeling to be back here, you walked through these halls so many times. There are so many memories here, so many good times were spent in this building. You try to focus on the happy memories instead of the dark cloud that hovers over your very last memory of this place, the very last time you left this place.
You try to talk some courage into yourself, even though the thought of seeing him again scares you more than you want to admit. “You can do this,” you tell yourself, encouraging yourself to either knock on that door or walk away. You slip your hand out of your pocket, softly knocking on the door.
Your breath hitches in your throat, heart beating so fast it might explode when you hear movement behind the door. The moment the door opens you let out the breath you’ve been holding. Not from relief, but from acceptance. Because the guy in front of you for sure isn’t Anthony. “Can I help you?” the stranger in front of you asks.
You smile, shaking your head. “Yeah, no, I don’t know? My boyfriend and I used to live here,” you start, before frowning. “or my ex-boyfriend, it’s a weird situation if I’m being honest.”
The guy in front of you nods, holding out his hand to you. “I’m Simon, and you look like you need someone to talk to,” he chuckles.
You laugh at his bold move, accepting his hand. “I do. I’m y/n,” you say, shaking Simon’s hand. You talk to him for a few minutes, explaining why you showed up on his doorstep. Simon listens intently, only interrupting you to give you some well needed advice.
“If you were looking for another sign to move on, I’d say this is it, y/n,” Simon says, leaning against the doorway, watching you with an empathetic look.
You sigh, smiling at the helpful stranger in front of you. “You’re right about that, this is what I needed,” you nod.
For a man you just met a few minutes ago he’s definitely the support you’ve been missing these past few months. Knowing kindness goes a long way, you try to tell him how grateful you are for his words, for his help, but he simply waves it away. “Do you by any chance know any good places around here that serve some killer coffee and pastries? It changed a lot here, so I’m kind of lost,” you say, chuckling at yourself. Simon directs you towards a new coffee shop two streets down that’s supposedly serving the best coffee in town. “I don’t want to interrupt whatever you were doing any longer, Simon. Thank you for your help and advice,” you say, waving at the kind man.
“Good luck, y/n. It was a pleasure meeting you,” Simon says, waving back at you. You smile at yourself, even though this didn’t end the way you hoped, it still helped you. At least you got some closure now, you don’t have to wonder anymore if he’s still here, if there’s a chance at rekindling. The universe gave you a massive ‘nope’ sign right there.
You find the coffee shop Simon recommended easily. You smile at the cozy looking place, this is exactly the kind of place you would’ve picked yourself. You walk through the door, inhaling the smell of freshly brewed coffee. Greeted by the kind older woman behind the counter you look around, amazed by all the delicious looking pastries. “What can I do for you, love?” the woman asks, smiling softly at you.
You chuckle, excusing yourself for not paying attention. “I’d like one of those strawberry filled turnovers and a cappuccino, please,” you say, rummaging through your bag to find your wallet. You pay for your order, saying a quick ‘thank you’ to the kind lady before finding a place to sit.
You use your time here wisely, enjoying the pastry and coffee to the absolute maximum. It amazes you how relaxed you are under the circumstances, it’s not every day you realize your relationship is really over. It’s not that you’re in denial or anything, but maybe the realization hasn’t set in completely. You knew the ‘perfect’ outcome was a long shot, but you’re glad you at least tried. You can’t blame yourself for trying, it’s all part of the process of getting over someone. It wouldn’t feel right to you if you’d never tried to talk things through with Anthony, trying to clear up some big mistakes.
All the signs you got these past few days might suggest otherwise, maybe it’s okay like this, maybe this is better for you, better for both of you. Would it even be useful to reopen old wounds? It’s probably for the better that it went like this. You’re not proud of how you handled things 3 years ago, but you know you grew as a person. This whole experience has been a true life lesson for you, making sure you’ll learn from your past mistakes.
You spend more time here than you initially planned, honestly this has been the happiest you felt in weeks, maybe even months. Perhaps relieved is a better word, it’s like a weight fell off your shoulders. It’s time, time to move on, but also time to grief. It’s time to give your past life with Anthony a place where it belongs; in the past. It’s no longer part of your future how hard it might sound right now.
You take your time to reflect back on some of the happiest moments you shared with Anthony. No better place to do that than in this cozy coffee shop, right? Your favorite memory is also the hardest one to look back at, even though you’re so proud of him for making his dreams come true. It’s also exactly the reason why you couldn’t ask him to come with you, why you didn’t work out in the end. The day Anthony got drafted was a day filled with so many emotions. Tears flowed freely that day, mixed with the most wholesome smiles you’d ever seen. It was a day to never forget. It was amazing to watch him get picked and drafted, to watch his dream suddenly came reality. It meant the world to you to see him like that, but it also started the downfall of your relationship. You didn’t know that yet until months later.
The day Anthony asked you to move in with him is definitely a second on that list. You always dreamed of moving in with Anthony, living together sounded like paradise. The prospect of coming home to him, or the other way around, was something you really looked forward to. The day he actually asked you that very question came unexpectedly. It happened after a rough game, a loss Anthony took personally. The two of you were lounging around in Anthony’s apartment, his head on your chest, one arm wrapped around you. His fingers were playing with your own, his eyes focused on nothing particular. He moved his head, locking eyes with you. ‘Move in with me?’ he’d asked you, an uncertain smile on his lips. He surprised you with his question, but waited patiently until you remembered how to speak again. ‘I would love to, Tito,’ you told him, hugging him closer to your body. ‘Wouldn’t want to spend another day without you, baby,’ he told you, softly pecking your lips.
You frown at the memory, hating the fact that the exact opposite happened. You shake your head, trying to clear your mind of that very moment. You’ve been completely consumed by your thinking that you didn’t even realize your cup is empty. Deciding to just grab another one to take with you on the walk home you turn your head to look how long the waiting line currently is. Your eyes lock on the ones you hadn’t expected to see today, maybe ever again. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” you mumble underneath your breath. What the hell is the universe trying to tell you? The look on Anthony’s face is one of surprise and shock, he definitely didn’t expect you to be here as well. You stay rooted to your seat, incapable of moving. You’re not even sure what you need to do right now. Breaking off the eye contact you look down at the table, playing with your empty cup.
“y/n?” God, his voice sends chills all over your body, almost bringing tears to your eyes. It for sure is one of your favorite sounds in this whole world.
“Hey,” you say, unsure what to exactly say to him.
Anthony gives you an uncertain smile, scratching the back of his head. “Can I sit down? Please?” he asks. You nod your head, suddenly feeling all kinds of nervous. It’s a weird experience sitting across your ex, across the man you thought you wouldn’t see again, let alone talk to again.
“I didn’t know you were back,” Anthony says, eyes locking on yours.
You want to laugh at his statement, because how could he have known that? “Yeah, I’ve been back a few weeks now,” you say instead, letting your eyes trail over the man before you.
“So you did it, huh? Traveled the world and stuff.”
This time you do laugh, which makes Anthony smile as well. “I did! But nothing felt like home, nothing except New York and...” you trail off, before shaking your head as Anthony raises his eyebrow in question. “Never mind. New York will always be my home, no matter how beautiful the rest of the world is.”
Anthony looks like he wants to say a thousand things, but all he does is stare at you. His eyes follow every movement you make, it doesn’t make you uncomfortable at all. Anthony is still Anthony, his eyes on your body still does something to you. It’s the fact he doesn’t say anything else, while you try to make conversation with him. You talked and asked, while he just answered and listened. Maybe he’s nervous, maybe he’s just not that interested in catching up. Whatever it is, you’re not waiting around any longer. It’s time to head home before it’s getting too dark outside.
You rummage through your bag, trying to find a pen and something to write on. You grab a business card since it’s the only piece of paper available right now unfortunately. You scribble your phone number on the back, sliding it across the table towards Anthony. “If you want to catch up some more or ever need anything, call me,” you say, before standing up and making your way over to the exit, completely forgetting about that cup of coffee you promised yourself.
You didn’t even realize Anthony followed you until you heard his voice. You turn around, facing the man who was once yours. “Was it worth it, y/n?” Anthony asks you, his hand gesturing between the two of you.
You know what he means, it’s a question you asked yourself a lot lately. You give him half a smile, before shaking your head. “No, it wasn’t. It absolutely wasn’t,” you say sadly, before walking out of the store, leaving Anthony behind for the second time in life.
You’re walking around in a haze, it doesn’t do anything to calm your nerves. The events that occurred these past few days have been confusing to say the least. If that was the message the universe tried to send you it definitely worked. By the time you get home you’re absolutely exhausted mentally and physically.
Two weeks go by without a message or call from Anthony. You didn’t expect him to reach out, but you kind of hoped he would. You’re getting more and more used to living in the city again, working your ass off at your new job. It took you some time to get adjusted to the typical city life again, but you’re slowly getting the hang of it more and more every day.
If you’re being honest with yourself, meeting Anthony again puts your mind to rest, it gives you some form of peace, and so did working yourself to absolute exhaustion at work. So when your phone rings at 11am on a Friday night you don’t bother to look who’s calling you, instead you answer without letting it ring more than three times.
“Who blesses me with a phone call this late?” you almost sing out, too tired to even care.
“Uhm, it’s Anthony. I’m sorry, am I interrupting something?” Anthony says from the other side of the line. You blink a few times realizing it’s really him.
“No, you aren’t. I’m just too tired to properly function,” you laugh.
“I just got home from a game, so that makes two of us,” Anthony chuckles. You smile to yourself, enjoying the sound of his voice. “I can call you tomorrow if that’s better?” he asks, a hint of uncertainty lacing his voice.
You shake your head at his question, he’s always so caring. “You don’t have to, we already got this far,” you tell him softly, not wanting to let him go already. You can hear him chuckling at your answer from the other side of the line.
“I wanted to ask you something actually,” Anthony says, making your heartbeat a little harder in a mixture of fear and hope.
“Yeah?” you ask him, urging him to go on.
You hear his deep intake of breath, the slight stutter in his voice. “Do you want to have dinner tomorrow at my place? Maybe watch a movie or something, catch up?”
You want to scream a ‘fuck yes!’ into the phone right now, but instead you take a deep breath collecting your thoughts for a moment. You’re scared to see this as a positive thing, scared to look too much into it, while on the other hand there isn’t another reason for him to invite you over than that he really wants to see or talk to you. “I’d love that,” you tell him, closing your eyes while you wait for his response.
You hear the breath he lets out, and you know he’s smiling on the other side. “I’ll see you at 6 then? I’ll text you the address.”
You hum your agreement, smiling at the perspective of seeing Anthony tomorrow. “I’ll be there at 6. Good night, Tito,” you tell him softly, cursing to yourself for using his nickname. If Anthony noticed your slip of the tongue at all he doesn’t show it.
“See you tomorrow. Sleep well, y/n,” he says, before ending the call.
You lay on your couch for a few minutes, smiling to yourself like some idiot. This evening for sure took an unexpected turn. You hadn’t expected him to call you, you for sure hadn’t expected him to call you and ask you to come over for dinner and movies. The talk however worries you, you know there is a lot unsaid, at least from your side. You’re pretty sure Anthony has a lot to say as well, and that’s exactly what worries you.
You decide to call it a night, tomorrow is a brand new day. A brand new day full of exciting events to look forward to, full of life changing conversations, and most importantly full of hope. Hope at better times, hope at peace and closure, hope at rekindling old flames, there are a lot of things to hope for, you just have to wait and see which one will come true. For the first time in months, maybe even years, you fall asleep without overthinking, without playing happy memories over and over in your head, because for the first time in years you have something to look forward to, something to hold on to. That something being Anthony all over again.
The soft morning light wakes you up out of your deep slumber. It’s been a while since you felt this well rested, and for a moment you forget the reason for your peaceful night of sleep. Just for a moment though, because as soon as you grab your phone from the nightstand you remember. Anthony. A text message with his address flashes across your screen, making you smile. So you didn’t imagine everything, huh? This is really happening.
You spend your whole morning cleaning your apartment, a nervous habit you inherited from your mother. There’s just something soothing and mind-numbing about deep cleaning your kitchen, bathroom and toilet. The smell of all the cleaning products infiltrate your nostrils, making you sigh contently. There’s nothing you like more than a spotless apartment. Cleaning equals happiness. Well, that’s not completely true, but it sure as hell helps a lot.
Before you know it’s time to get yourself cleaned up and ready for the evening. You’re tempted to just throw on some sweats, but decide against it. Picking out some black skinny jeans and a yellow sweater to wear later, you make your way over to the shower. The warm water soothes your skin, washing away all the chemicals you used today. The smell of your favorite soap replaces the almost bleachy smell. You can’t help but reach for the razor, making sure your skin is absolutely as smooth as possible. Not for him, but for you, this is all for you.
You decide to skip the makeup for the night. It’s not like Anthony hasn’t seen you without it before, and if this evening decides to take a turn down memory lane, it might be nice to just be able to wipe your eyes without smudging your makeup all over your face. You roll your eyes at your reflection in the mirror. There are so many ways this evening can go, so many possible outcomes. Getting nervous about all of them is some absolute bullshit. “You’ll be fine either way,” you tell your reflection sternly, taking a deep breath to calm your nerves.
It’s a little after 5:30 when you leave your apartment, the Uber driver already waiting outside for you. The drive to Anthony isn’t that far, but you’d rather be a little early than late. If there’s one thing you absolutely hate it’s being late to anything. When the driver pulls up in front of an impressive looking building you can’t help the nerves that settle in your stomach. You thank the driver before heading inside.
The moment you reach Anthony’s door you take a deep breath. It almost feels like a deja vu if you think about yesterday. The only difference is that this time you know he’s here, you know he’ll be the one to open the door when you knock. So that’s exactly what you do, your knuckles hitting the door in a certain rhythm only Anthony will understand. Patiently you wait until he opens the door, his smile greeting you as soon as he opens up. “I already thought that was you,” he chuckles, inviting you into his apartment.
“Old habit.”
You hand Anthony your coat, while simultaneously kicking off your shoes. You follow him further inside of his apartment. The view over the city leaves you absolutely speechless. “Damn, Anthony. Hockey sure did you some good,” you chuckle, looking back at him. You catch him already looking at you, which makes you only smile some more.
“I’m not so sure about that,” Anthony answers, turning his head to look across the skyline.
It’s weird how easy the two of you seem to fall back into familiar patterns. There are no awkward silences, it’s simply you and him again. You’re seated on his couch, when Anthony comes back into the room with a bag full of food. “I hope you still love that place downtown, y/n,” he says, smirking when he sees the look on your face.
“I do! I haven’t been there in forever,” you laugh, holding out your hands for your portion of the food.
Anthony picks some random movie on Netflix you both haven’t seen yet. The two of you eat your food in silence, simply enjoying the moment. “It’s weird that it almost feels like nothing has changed, huh?” Anthony says, turning his head to look at you.
You sigh, putting your leftover food back on the table. “It does, but we both know a lot has changed, ever since...” you trail off, not sure if you should talk about that right now.
“You left me?” Anthony finishes your sentences, his eyes locked on yours.
He doesn’t look mad, he looks like he’s simply stating facts. You frown, thinking about your next words, but Anthony is faster than you. “I’m not mad at you. Yeah, you could’ve handled things better, a lot better. But I just let you go as well, I didn’t try harder,” Anthony says, a painful look crosses his face. You open your mouth to say something, but he holds up his hand, indicating he isn’t finished yet. “You followed your dreams, just like I did. I can’t blame you for that. Trust me, I tried, but it isn’t fair of me to think that way when I also followed my own dreams,” Anthony says, shaking his head.
You ponder over his words, there’s a certain truth behind them. The two of you did follow your dreams, it wouldn’t have been fair to neither of you if you had stayed. “Why didn’t you try harder?” you ask, almost feeling stupid for asking this, because you didn’t try harder to right the wrongs until you got back to New York.
Anthony smiles at you, stretching his arms above his head. “Because I knew you’d find your way back to me one day.”
You tilt your head, letting his words sink in. “Just like that?” you ask.
“Just like that.”
You let your eyes travel over his body, taking in his whole appearance. It’s been a long time since you’ve been able to look at him, so you’ll take all the time you need to get familiar with him again. Until your eyes fall on a very, very familiar piece. The chain you gave him for your 2 years anniversary. “Anthony?” you ask quietly, eyes locked on his chain. Anthony hums, indicating he heard you. He looks at you, while you can’t help but bite on your bottom lip. “You’re still wearing the chain?” you ask, even though it isn’t really a question, you’ve seen it with your own two eyes. Anthony simply looks at you for a moment, brushing his fingers through his hair before he answers.
“I do, I do, y/n,” he sighs, his fingers closing around the chain.
“Why? Why do you still wear it?” You can’t help but ask the burning question, you need to know his answer. Anthony looks at you, his large hand closing around your much smaller one.
He smiles softly at you, squeezing your hand. “Because I always belonged to you. Even after all these years,” Anthony says, his eyes showing there’s nothing but truth behind his words. You can almost feel the color drain from your face, out of all the things he could’ve told you this definitely was the one you didn’t expect. You can’t contain your tears any longer, the relief flooding through your body.
“No, no, don’t cry, baby,” Anthony whispers, pulling you close to him. You bury your head in the crook of his neck, his familiar scent flooding your senses. The moment his arms close around you, pulling you impossible close to his chest, you remember. You remember how home feels like. This is it, this is home. No matter how many years will pass, how many times you hit rock bottom, home will always be here in Anthony’s arms. The place you feel the safest, the place that gives you all the love you need and deserve, the place that brings you the most happiness.
There’s still so much that needs to be discussed, so many things left unsaid, but all of that can wait a little longer. Being back in Anthony’s embrace and keeping him close to you seems like the better choice right now. All that matters for now is the fact that you’re finally home again.

Could I request #47, "kiss it and make it better." with Arthur, please?
Hello anon~! Hope you're doing good! And also, sorry for the wait. I was busy these past weeks!
Characters : Arthur, reader
Words: 1.3K
Today was a day off and you decided to get your incomplete tasks done by the end of the day. You grabbed your to-do list of personal tasks and set off on crossing it out, some of which required you to do them along with the other residents. All through the day, you couldn’t remember one important thing though.
On the other hand, Arthur had woken up earlier than usual to go out with you, and solve the usually received ‘cases’ around the town together. Since it was your day off, he thought it might not be a bad idea to spend time with you in the town.
He waited the entire morning for you so that you could complete your daily routine and both of you could go together to the town. But he couldn’t catch up with you. He did grow a little impatient and yet decided to wait for you. After all, it was not easy for two humans to look after ten vampires living under the same roof.
That evening, Arthur was busy writing in his room when he heard a knock on his door. He was surprised to find you at the door with a mug/cup of coffee in a tray. He quickly gave way to allow you into his room. You kept the tray on his table and sat on the chaise lounge indicated by him.
You looked at Arthur, who was staring intently at you, with a rather serious look on his face.
“What happened Arthur, why are you sulking? Are you sad cause Theo didn't scowl at you today? “ You teased him subtly.
He sat beside you in the lounge, sipping the coffee leisurely you brought him.
Arthur looked at you, speculating the emotions showing on your face. He confirmed that you had truly forgotten about your promise.
"What makes you think that I'm sulking, hm?"
"Well, you're avoiding my gaze and your lips remind me of the fallen crescent. " You replied while pointing towards your own lips.
He thought for a while before he smirked a little, "Yes, dear. I'm sulking. You see, you are the reason my heart broke today, but not Theo. I thought you had remembered our promise. But, I was wrong. You left this man alone, making him wait all day long”.
You looked confused for a second and lost in thoughts before your eyes widened in realisation. “OH! Darn! I’m so sorry Arthur. I was fixated on completing my tasks by today that my promise to you slipped out of my mind!”. You smiled apologetically. He feigned being heartbroken to which you teased, “Oh, how about I kiss your sadness away, Arthur? That sounds like a great idea, doesn’t it?"
Arthur thought for a while before he answered, as he came up with the idea. “Why, of course! That sounds like a great idea indeed. Since I’m heartbroken, it’s only fair that you take responsibility for it and heal my heart. “ He kept his hand over his heart playfully again. You were startled at his statement. “W-wait, Arthur! I was just kidding about that!”
A mischievous glint shone in his eyes as he continued to play along with your teasing. He put down his cup of coffee and leaned towards you, “ But weren’t you the one who suggested that? I’ll be depressed now if you say that you were just kidding with me.” You tensed up a little as you looked at him. You almost immediately recognised the glint in his eyes; A gaze as sharp as a predator’s, ready to hunt down its prey. You gulped, a bit apprehended at the thought that he was going to go along with that.
Arthur’s lingering gaze can be felt by you, which made you restless.
He breathed, “Now then…” and with a deliberate dramatic pause, He stood up with a visible smirk crawling onto his handsome face and approached you.
“ Go on, I’m waiting for my kiss. Kiss me and make it better”. THUMP. Your heart was pounding wildly on hearing his statement.
“Excuse me?” You asked, trying to feign composure. “ Kiss me, sweet bird. Only then, will I accept your apology.“ He answered you with an insouciant smile.
You contemplated for a moment before Arthur saw a determined look on your face. “So, are you ready to fulfil your part of the deal? “
You nodded your head and stood up from your seat. You asked, “ Can you bend down a little so that I can reach your face, Arthur?”
He nodded delightfully, “I’d do anything as long as you complete my request!” and sat down back on the chaise lounge. He closed his eyes with anticipation and waited for the kiss, masking his eagerness. He felt a soft sensation on either of his cheeks, which startled him a little. He opened his eyes abruptly and looked at you.
You were standing there with a triumphant smile as you gazed at Arthur. He was taken aback as he thought about what had happened moments ago. His hands unconsciously reached towards both of his cheeks, where he could still feel the soft and warm sensation of your lips.
"You cheated! What makes you think I'm going to accept cheek kisses as the kiss I requested?" He blurted out in one breath.
You said, "Well, technically, you had asked me to kiss you, but you didn't specify where I have to kiss you. So it does count as a kiss- dear". You mimicked the way he called you often.
He looked conflicted as he stared at you. There was amusement and something else swimming in his eyes, which you couldn't seem to put a finger on.
He grasped your arm and pulled you gently towards him, putting his other hand on your cheek. "Arthur, what-?" You fell silent upon looking into his eyes.
"You - you never fail to catch me off guard… You are indeed very different from the other women I've seen. If only you were mine-" Arthur stopped himself before he spilt any more of his feelings.
"If I say that I will really feel better, will you kiss me then? Will you be my darling then, not in words, but literally?" He slowly brushed away your strands of hair falling on her cheeks.
He stood up, still keeping you close to him by your waist. Tilting your chin up with his fingers gently and prompting you to look into his cerulean blue eyes, he caught you off guard suddenly with his action. He kissed the corner of your mouth briefly, earning a gasp from you and making you blush. You were suddenly reminded of the close distance between you both.
"A-Arthur! Stop messing with me. I know that you're teasing me right now." You said as you put your hands on his chest in an attempt to push him away, which only prompted him to tighten his hold on you.
“Do you really think I’m messing with you right now?” He looked seriously into your eyes, making you incapable of tearing your gaze away from him.
“ I don’t know. You always tease me. So it’s hard for me to tell when you’re joking and when you’re serious.” You looked down, feeling guilty for being unable to understand his words clearly.
He sighed before releasing you and turned away to laugh. The awkward atmosphere between the both of you seemed to dissolve slowly. “Thanks for the kiss. Though I’m a little disappointed that you didn’t initiate the kiss, I’m feeling better! Now, I need to get my remaining work done. So I’ll talk to you later.”
You were being pushed gently by your shoulders, signalling you to go. You turned back immediately before exiting the room. “But Arthur, about what you said earlier...Were you serious?”
He cast a bittersweet gaze at you before replying, “It’s for you to decide. I’ll be waiting for your reply if it was serious or not. Tell me tomorrow, will you?” He smiled a little. You nodded absentmindedly, lost in your own sea of thoughts. He shut the door gently, signalling the end of the conversation. You walked down the halls, your heart still beating erratically due to the previous incidents.
Also, tagging @ichigostellaglynn since your man is Arhthur. I think you'll like it.

young one | 17
Jungkook walks into your living room and finds you both laying on the couch, watching a movie on the tv.
“Hey,” Jungkook sighed out. To be completely honest, he was terrified of what was to come. He has never done this before and doesn’t know how mad you’d be, or how upset Sian is. He’s dreading everything right now.
“Welcome home,” you say, eyes not leaving the cartoon on the screen. “Had fun?”
Jungkook could tell you were mad.
“To be honest, yeah.”
It took every fiber of your being to not rage on him right now.
“Hey buddy, can we talk?” Jungkook asks, looking down at Sian. His son slowly looks up at his dad, snuggling a little tighter into your chest.
“Go on, daddy wants to talk to you,” you whisper down at him. Jungkook extends his arm out for Sian’s hand. Sian eventually took it after a few seconds and they both walked into his room to have a private conversation.
-
“I’m so sorry for not picking you up,” Jungkook says. He was kneeling down in front of Sian as he sat on the edge of his bed. Pouting.
“Where were you?” he says in a low voice, his head hung low.
“I was with my old friends,” Jungkook answers honestly.
“Why did you forget me?” Sian says. His lip quivering.
“I-- I’m sorry. I just lost track of time, that’s all.” Jungkook holds onto Sian’s little hands, rubbing his thumbs on the back of them.
“Your friends made you forget…?” he says sadly. Jungkook nodded. Although he doesn’t know if Sian could see with his head down.
It was quiet for a bit before Sian spoke up again.
“I don’t like your friends…” Sian says.
Jungkook didn’t know what to say.
But when he was about to open his mouth, Sian’s head came up and with watery eyes, what he said next broke Jungkook’s heart.
“I don’t like you anymore.”
Although he was already an adult when Sian was born, Jungkook still had a lot to learn and he, too, was growing up along with Sian.
But as Sian got older, they became closer and closer.
More than just father and son, but as best friends.
Sian loved Jungkook more than any one (excluding you of course, he loved you just as much). But Jungkook was Sian’s best friend and hero as well. Someone he looked up to and someone he trusted with his entire heart.
Without another word from either of the two’s mouths, Sian pulls his hands away from his dad’s, quickly sliding off of the bed to run out of the room and back to you.
Jungkook sat on the floor, stunned.
It took him a good five minutes or so to regain composure and he finally got up off of the floor and to the living room where he found his son in your arms yet again.
“I called in sick,” you say, looking at Jungkook from where you were on the couch. “Sian doesn’t want to stay home alone with you, I don’t want to bother our friends, so I’m just staying home.” You look away from him and look back at the tv.
Jungkook didn’t know what to say and just nodded. He was about to sit next to you but froze at what you said next.
“So feel free to call up those friends of yours.”
He tilts his head at you.
“What?” He says.
“Isn’t it my job to stay home and watch him while you go out?” you say, referring to what his friends have said before. You saw the message on his phone once and brushed it off. But you couldn’t help but bring it up right now.
“You’re always getting one of our friends to watch Sian so you can go out while I’m at work,” you say, turning back to him. “I’m home now, so…” You shrug. “Go wild, have fun.”
-
Jungkook eventually did leave.
It was clear neither one of you wanted to see him right now, and he felt the need to give you two some space while the two of you cool down.
He didn’t go to any party, or to any of his friends. They were texting him of course, but Jungkook didn’t feel like talking to them at the moment.
So he just sat there.
At a table outside of a 7/11.
“There he is.”
Jungkook’s head shot up at the familiar voice. Turning around, he saw his friends walking towards him.
Brothers I mean.
Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin, and Taehyung all circled around the table and sat down.
“Explain yourself,” Namjoon says, slamming a hand on the table.
“Who’s that girl?” Jin asks.
“Why’d you forget your own son at school?” Yoongi follows up.
“Is this why you got me and Jimin to watch him the other night?” Taehyung asks.
“You have time for them but not us?” Jimin pouts.
“Why are you drinking banana milk alone outside of a 7/11?” Hoseok wonders, picking up the two other empty bottles.
“Why so many questions…” Jungkook groans, dropping his head into his hands. “It was one time, I apologized, I’m sure it’s happened to a lot of people before.”
“Yeah it happened to me once,” Jimin speaks up.
“See!” Jungkook says, pointing to Jimin. “I’m not the only one who forgot to pick up their child from school.”
“I was so scared when it happened, I thought my dad was going to leave me at school forever, I just wanted to go home,” Jimin laughs. “But then again, it happened more than once so I eventually got used to it. Turns out my dad had a situation at work which is why he would either forget or pick me up at a much later time.” Jimin shrugs. “Your situation is different though.”
“Okay but it was a one time thing that I hung out with them in the morning. They usually have work, it just so happens they didn’t today. So it won’t happen again,” Jungkook says.
“What’s gotten into you though?” Namjoon asks suddenly. “I heard you’ve been slacking off. I know you say it’s only happened a couple times but that’s a couple times too many isn’t it? You used to be on top of everything, what happened?”
Jungkook lets out a big sigh, he really doesn’t think it’s that big of a deal. He barely started spending time with his friends to begin with!
“Sian and I were grocery shopping one day and bumped into an old friend of mine, a friend I had before we all became a group. We started texting again and included my other three friends and we haven’t talked since Yn was pregnant with Sian so they wanted to catch up,” he explained.
“Understandable,” Hoseok says. “But why can’t you bring Sian along when you catch up with them? Isn’t it better to be with him since you get to watch him and they get to know him too?” Jungkook laughs at that.
“They aren’t really kid people, you know? And the places we go to aren’t exactly kid friendly either.” All six guys stare at him with soulless expressions.
“If they don’t like your child, wouldn’t that make you not like them either?” Taehyung asks.
“They don’t not like Sian, they don’t know him yet--”
“But they don’t give him a chance either,” Yoongi interrupts Jungkook. “If someone didn’t give Hana a second look, I’d leave.”
“Isn’t that what you did to her mom,” Jin says. Yoongi silently nods.
“I’m just hanging out with my friends, what’s the big deaaaaaaallll,” Jungkook whines.
“The big deal is that you’re forgetting that you’re a dad too--”
“No I’m not!” Jungkook says, yelling at Namjoon. “Why does everyone think that?”
“Because you’re calling your friends to watch him so you can go out, you’re forgetting him at school, you’re not telling your wife where he is--”
“She’s not my wife,” Jungkook corrects Yoongi.
“Yet,” Jimin and Taehyung says, looking at Jungkook who’s usually the one to say it right after.
Jungkook nods, “yet.”
“What’s holding you back anyways?” Jin asks. Jungkook shrugs.
“I just don’t know if it’s the right time I guess..”
“You know what I don’t think it’s the right time for?” Yoongi says.
“What?”
“You hanging out with your friends again at the time when Yn is working so hard for your family. She’s going back to school so that she can have a better future for Sian and she’s also working late at night to provide his daily necessities. And what are you doing?” Yoongi tilts his head at the younger one.
“Forgetting your son at school,” Taehyung answers for him.
“Hanging out with your friends while you leave your son for someone else to take care of,” Jin answers as well.
Jungkook plays with the bottle in his hand, not wanting to look up at any of them.
“Look, Jungkook. We love you and your family and we honestly just want the best for you three. I know it seems like a small problem to you right now but keep doing what you’re doing and it’s just going to get bigger,” Namjoon says. “From what we heard, Yn is having a hard time balancing work, school, and you two. But she doesn’t care as long as you two are happy and that she knows what she’s doing is for the two of you’s benefit.”
“She doesn’t even have time for herself,” Hoseok says. “But I honestly don’t think she even cares about that.”
“Jungkook we know that you’re still young,” Jin says. “We know Sian came earlier into your life than you expected. We know your time was cut short and that you had to grow up all of a sudden but don’t forget that Yn is younger than you. It’s the exact same for her.”
“I heard from the girls how much she used to dream of her future and how she would have a career first, then the two of you would get married, and then have kids but everything was turned upside down when Sian came first before everything else. But she didn’t care as long as she would get everything she wanted, whatever the order may be,” Jimin says.
“She’s working for that career, she has Sian, and she’s just waiting for you to drop the question. Seriously this time.” Taehyung says. “You all know I don’t know much about relationships, and that I barely got my turn, but if I were in your situation Jungkook… I would’ve married her a long time ago. You’re so in love, you got what you want all in your hands… what’s taking you so long?”
“I don’t know.”
That’s all Jungkook said.
“You don’t know what?” Yoongi asks him.
“I don’t know what to do. I guess..”
The six all glanced at each other before looking at the younger one.
“I- I..” He sighs, “I love my life.. The way that it is- well-- the way it was before me and Yn kept fighting, but..
I don’t know.
I love her, I love Sian, I want to marry her… one day. I don’t know when the right time is. I don’t know what I’m doing with my life. I knew it would lead up to the moment where I have everything figured out, then I’d have the right girl, marry her, have kids… but I have those. Yn and Sian I mean. So I don’t know how to fill out the rest. I just don’t feel like you guys. You guys are all adults, do you know what I mean?” he looks up at them. His older brothers. “I don’t feel like one, you’d think I would by now. My son is five. I know I’m his dad but why do I feel like his older brother sometimes. Most of the time. Yn is still my girlfriend, I don’t have a stable job, I’m not in school or anything. I just feel like I’m not doing anything right and I’m still not apparently. I just don’t feel like I’ve grown up. I know I don’t compare to any of you, you all are adults, responsible adults, with jobs, and you know what to do all the time. I don’t know what I’m doing.
And then…
I bump into my friends, my old ones. And they’re exactly the same as when I left. I mean they have jobs and all, but they make me feel like it’s okay that I’m not at the point I wanted to be.”
