ok so i’m seeing a lotta angsty tdb headcanons going around (don’t get me wrong i LOVE them and theyre all literally sosoSO good) but i wanna lighten the mood a bit so im just gonna share some silly/lighthearted hcs i have !! (in no particular order ofc)

- One night when Sho went to the campus store to look for some ingredients he ran into Kaito there, who was ALSO buying some cooking supplies! That’s how he learned that Kaito knows how to bake, and he’s been getting some really good recipes from him ever since! (no Kaito doesn’t know that Sho basically thought he was a cringe loser before 😭)

- Jin suffers from chronic migraines, and that’s the real reason he sound proofed his room, but no one else needs to know that. i mostly have this hc bc i also suffer fron migraines and i wanted to share my pain with one of the ghouls lmao

- Haku is actually really into fashion/styling, but not in the same way as Romeo or Leo are. he likes to go to thrift stores and buy vintage clothes, and he even has a finsta where he posts his outfits! it’s really lowkey and he keeps his face hidden, but he has a pretty decent following on it!

- Towa LOVES bamboo. it’s like one of his favorite plants to snack on! He’s asked Haru to get some for the park but 1) they don’t currently have any anomalous animals that need it and 2) importing bamboo stalks is expensive :(

- Jiro has been told countless times by multiple different people that he has a great voice for asmr. a part of him really wants to try it out, as it’d be another way to help people, but his workload is heavy and keeps him busy. he also thinks that Yuri would find it silly and disapprove of it, so he keeps this little dream to himself

- Sometimes, when Haru is busy with his indoor chores, he lets Peekaboo watch Bluey! And if he has free time he’ll watch it with them lol!! He’ll never admit it to anyone but he secretly looks up to Bandit pfft

- Ritsu has fidget spinners and other stim toys that he uses whenever he studies. it helps him stay focused and even keeps him from getting stressed out whenever he has to deal with his captain and vice captain lmao. he keeps this a secret though bc he thinks taiga and romeo would make fun of him for it (they wouldn’t)

- Tohma is actually allergic to cats! since he’s a ghoul, regular cats like the ones on campus don’t bother him, but any cat-like anomaly he’s ever dealt with has always left him sneezing and with watery irritated eyes lmaooo

- Alan once saw a Cinnamaroll keychain while he was out running errands one day and thought it was so insanely cute that he bought it. He was immediately embarrassed by it though and gave the keychain to some random kid. Cinnamaroll is now his favorite sanrio character.

- Despite living in Obscuary and being a literal Reaper, Rui can NOT handle scary movies. Especially if they’re really gorey. He’s more so disturbed that a regular human would come up with such dark and violent movies, and that there are people out there who are WILLING to watch it.

- Luca has a pet dog back home !! She’s an older German Shepherd with a bit of an attitude lol. She waits at the door for him (and his brother) everyday.

Akito:

Akito doesn't really think much for photoshoots or modeling, he prefers talking about the outfits more than anything

Still, the moment he hears you were asked to model for a wedding shoot, he knew he'd want to go even if you didn't ask him

He's actually really excited to model with you, although he doesn't really think about how he'll be affected by you in such an outfit

He'd be standing outside of the dressing room, readjusting his tie before he glanced over at you, and he's stunned

"...Akito? You okay?" He snaps back to reality at the sound of your voice, face flushed, "I...Yeah, you just look...really good."

Apart from him growing incredibly flustered, it's a very fun experience for you both, and Ena asks to post the photos <3

Mizuki:

Mizuki absolutely loves modeling and pretty outfits, and they would absolutely jump at the chance to model

The moment they hear that someone asked you to model for a wedding shoot of all things, they immediately jump on the chance!

They will not shut up about the event, and they're just so excited to dress up like this with you! Gets them thinking about the future...

They were gushing over the dress they were wearing, but the moment you walked out in your outfit, they gushed even more

"Oh my god, look at you!" They're quick to hug you, holding your hands with a teasing smile, "You'd make such a great spouse!~"

You both have an absolute blast, and they make sure to ask you to model outfits like that more often! <3

Toya:

Toya has participated in wedding events before, but he has also never been in a photoshoot or modeled before

Despite being your boyfriend, he's almost a bit surprised you invite him to the wedding shoot. Still, he's happy to come with you!

He's honestly a little nervous as he accompanies you, really hoping that he doesn't mess you or himself up during the shoot

He checks that his suit is fitting properly, fidgeting with the tie before you walk out of the dressing room. He freezes in place

Much to his relief, the photoshoot goes as well as it can, and Akito and An tease that that's how you'll both look in a couple years <3

Minori:

As an idol, Minori has grown used to the concept of photoshoots and modeling, yet she's never done much with wedding events

So, when you invite her along to the bridal photoshoot, she immediately accepts, excited to see what it would be like!

She's always thought that bridal models were gorgeous, especially hearing about it from Airi and Shizuku, so she's very excited!

She was fixing her wedding dress before she looked over at you. Her eyes widened, and her face immediately turned bright red

6. cmonn... its kirby. kirby from kirby. he's such a wonderful fellow and so awe inspiring and cute and manifestation of love and friendship. he's a bonus but how could you not love him.

5. pitch!!!!! i love him i love him i love him. og birb with g r e e n colors and squeaky little design. plus he's super fun to use in DL3 :] to me he is a 7 year old kid who wants to be included with the big kids, and tries to act all cool and tough to impress them (but he really just loves his mama). i like drawing him with giant ahoges/head feathers, as well as giving him that long side-beak that i'm pretty sure i got from pato from pocoyo??

4. susie is amazing and wonderful and has a beautifully complex character that more people need to recognize!!! she's a capitalist and constantly has a condescending sales representative demeanor, but at heart she's just a playful girl who loves pink and ice cream and her dad that never got to have a full childhood to experience them. ALSO cyborg susie! i like to think her father let her choose one body modification each year on her birthday, but after the portal incident, she's been giving herself so many alterations that she's barely organic anymore (her voice is very AI sounding to me). uhh i like drawing her with little stars on her cuffs, and as of late i've been making her hair very fluffy (it has the same texture of a barbie doll)

3. RIBBON AAAA!!!!!!!!! i'll admit as a kid i did not like her but god she is a joy. that is a little girl! look at her! i love the idea of her being just a weird little chihuahua girl who performs seances regularly and knows the entire history of weaponry. also her being the crystal knight/guardian of ripple star headcanon!!! 🗣️🗣️ she is 100% the queen's adopted sister prove me wrong. lastly, i try to draw her as heart-shaped as possible— wings, head, hair, bow, eye highlights all vaguely resemble a heart and that is my biggest rule when i draw her. her little coat thing is inspired by @//somethinginworl 's design <33

2. bandana dee is my heart and soul and we tolerate ZERO disrespect for him here. even in canon, he's got one of the most well-defined personalities and backstories for a non-villain character! (in my heart he is the waddle dee from 64 and you can pry this from me with my cold dead hands) he's grown sososo much and i love how hal recognizes his development :]]] he may never amount to the same power as kirby, but goddammit if he doesn't have a heart and will of a true warrior 💜 i don't have a lot of idiosyncratic design choices since he's such a simple character, but his bandana ears must always be HUGE you hear me.

1. um. if you can't tell. i am very normal about adeleine. her moves in SA are super fun to use (and challenging), and oh my goshhhh the angst potential here. i am begging hal to bring her back in future games, especially with the more ancients-focused lore being incorporated recently. at heart though, i just really adore seeing her draw and paint amidst all these magical creatures in her life <3 she's slightly shy but super passionate, and is definitely kirby's big sister with her advice (especially in the storybooks!) and nicknames for him (kir-kun/kirbs in the manga). i caved long ago and gave her curtain bangs, and i really like dressing her up and experimenting with different outfits! *breathes heavily* the happy little artist kid makes me a very happy little artist kid 🫶

Sorry it took so long for me to reply! I was busy writing this out all day, lol.

It's long so I'm putting a 'Keep Reading' for anyone who wants to back out.

So I'm not very good at explaining things and these have probably already been mentioned but here goes :) I also have images but I messed up their formatting (I do have image descriptions though, even if I'm bad at writing). Warning for probable spelling mistakes and if something doesn't make sense, I literally have spent all day doing this instead of homework and I am so excited that I might have missed something in editing.

Before we dive deep, I’m going to list off the bat the outfits I don’t necessarily talk about or use as examples all that much in this essay thing/rant:

I’m going to put the knight outfit here because I don’t talk about it in great detail here but it’s still amazing and I love it. It definitely plays in with the classic ‘all black, nice shape, cool texture’ package that you’ll read about later. He must’ve been so uncomfortable in this but he looks great, I also wonder if he had long luscious locks underneath that helmet 👀

I also don’t talk about his Original fit much, but it's still so slay. I like how Crowley is wearing dark gray and not just black in his beginning outfit, because it already shows that he’s not quite on the side of evil but a shade of gray. He never was on the side of evil…think about it, most of his outfits have some sort of color other than black, even if it’s really dark gray...

I think the Angel fit is important because first of all he’s adorable and secondly it gives us more insight to what his rank could have been based on his sleeves and collar. It also makes me sad because he’s just a little guy !!! Poor thing.

And though it’s one of my favorite things, I don’t talk much about the 70s fit even though he’s literally so handsome I can’t even. The shirt, the boots, the glasses, the moustache...I want to be him, he’s sososo gorgeous aughhhh,,,,, (I also think his big chunky watch is really funny lol)

Oh, and I almost forgot his pretty little turtleneck. This outfit doesn’t vary much from his other outfits, and also it’s possibly normal for him to be wearing this garment, considering he wore a turtleneck in 1966. I just think it’s fascinating how he changed his outfit for a fun little date with Aziraphale going around SoHo. That’s really cute of him. 

I also think it’s funny that the only 3 times he wears a turtleneck is 1967, this time, and his angel disguise. They’re his ‘time to be mischievous’ garments, because in 1967 he’s robbing a church, modern day he’s sneaking around SoHo with his angel, and in Heaven, well, he’s infiltrating it and going through secret files.

And as I was editing this, I forgot his Eff Stuff Up Jacket. He wears this in the deleted scene where he took down the phone networks, and idk I just thought it was cool. The fake ID card is great too. He’s doing it with style, he is.

Look at that beautiful demon right there. I love how his lapels point down towards hell when he does this, since he’s doing a hellish task. That’s really neat.

Moving on...

First of all let's talk about the color palette. This is kind of obvious so don’t judge me, but I absolutely love the colors that are picked out for him. Mostly black, yes, but also red (which I find fascinating as it is the contrasting color to Hell's green look and also the stereotypical 'devil' color), and sometimes a dark gray or an oxblood. I think it's just really cool because no matter how many different outfits, Crowley, like Aziraphale, has mostly the same colors.

I think it’s nice (well maybe not nice, nice is a 4 letter word…) how he has a more warm-toned, deep, rich palette while Aziraphale’s colors are more cool toned and light, complementing each other (as always, but you’d assume that the warm, caring angel would have more warm, full tones and the cold, aloof demon would have the opposite). 

I’d also like to add that since Crowley has his beautiful snake eyes, he’s likely dichromatic, meaning he can see in two colors, blue and green, but also that he could be colorblind to red (this is probably why Aziraphale dresses in blues, but it also makes me wonder about Crowley and his outfits; does he think he’s dressing in grays or a less saturated red?) Anyway, more images because he's pretty and I like colors :)

 His selective color palette means that a lot of what makes his outfits, well, his, is something else. This would be mainly texture. Whether it's scaly (like his snakeskin…‘boots’) or ruffly (see 1827 for a major example of this, just look at these freakin patterns omgomgomg) or an almost stripy texture (like the 1941 suit and Bildad’s fire fit), Crowley's outfits benefit because of those extra touches. They make his outfits stand out, especially with a ‘limited’ color palette.

In addition, he is often dressed in the kind of clothing that accentuates his height and build. He wears waistcoats that almost bring a cinched waist effect (and accentuate that pretty little waist of his!!! god i wanna see him in a corset so bad), and sometimes he wears vertical patterns/textures to make him seem even taller, which is especially fitting for a lean demon.

His shoulders are accentuated with either a puffy sleeve (see 1827 or 1601) or a squared off look (see modern day and various suits from time). It definitely gives a nice touch and affects his overall shape and appearance.

I also just wanted to mention in this section before I move on that I love how his lapels point up like little demon horns. I think that's cool 😈.

Okay this part is one of my favorite parts. Crowley LOOOOOVES to adorn himself. B U T T O N S (this mfer is addicted to buttons), serpent pieces, bows; you name it, it’s probably going to end up in his outfit. He is so fancy and with time brings even more ways to add glitter and glam to his clothing. And he isn’t careless with his accessories either; his extras line up with his outfit and instead of distracting from the rest of his garments, brings it all to a more composed, complex look while making it still look complete and not ‘busy’.

It’s also good to notice that he usually wears jewelry/metal that is either silver or black. Gold isn’t his color and he knows it; this is especially important because that’s a ‘heaven’ color (white, gold, light gray) while silver is more of a hellish color (silver, green, black).

Another thing I find fascinating is the fact that modern Crowley wears a lot of clothes that appear in the ‘women’ section and things that would not be considered stereotypically masculine, but rather androgynous. He dresses like a snazzy little lesbian and I adore it. (Looking at those super skinny, too tight jeans,,,)

I am now going to go on a tangent about the fact that Crowley is not afraid to dress in a way that would worry and/or agitate people. He plays with expression and probably loves when people give him weird stares. Whether he dresses in a surprisingly feminine way (see Mesopotamia, see the Crucifixion, see Ashtoreth), whether he dresses like a mourner (see Rome and kind of 1827 a little bit), whether his outfits go against the status quo (literally pick your poison), he is always doing it in style.

It's interesting for her/him/whatever Crowley wants forever to dress more feminine at the earlier two times, because it would be more customary for her to be accompanied by a man, meaning she's giving off the vibes that she's related to Aziraphale by blood or marriage. I think that's cute tbh. I also love Ashtoreth, she is SERVING, I love her hair, I love her vibe, I love how she was inspired by Mary Poppins. She reminds me of Mrs. Andrews from the Mary Poppins musical.

I didn’t know where to put this but I wanted to mention that Crowley in 1827 is dressed masculine but more flamboyant than Aziraphale at this time, and corrects pronouns/honorifics when Mr. Dalrymple tried to say ‘Mr.’ Nonbinary ICON right there I love them.

Okay now let me give a more fascinating and detailed example of Crowley being a weird little guy, Rome.

Oh, Rome. Crowley is basically dressed like either a dead guy or a tourist tbh and I think that’s hilarious.

The laurel wreaths are usually either for emperors/high class (which was probably what Crowley was going for after tempting one) or they’re in funeral portraits. The wreath represents your achievements in life and Definitely is not street wear.

His hair is definitely not in style with the military chic kind of vibes that were going on at the time like Aziraphale’s–no no no, his curls are more fit to be a lady’s hairstyle (if he’d grown his hair out ofc). 

The dark clothes definitely give a mourning kind of palette, but that’s relatively normal with Crowley. What isn’t is his weird shawl thing with the red zig zag that is definitely foreign and most certainly draped the wrong way.

He’s wearing a pin and ring brooch??? That’s definitely not from Rome. That’s more of a British Isles thing–this kind of pin and ring brooch is not from Rome. But it’s very weird because unlike the Romans, who loved snake jewelry as it represented rebirth and healing, the British Isles did not do snake jewelry. So where’d he get this commissioned?

Bro is so unfashionable, and he’s homeless, gay, has aids, and is new in town /ref new in town. His dark glasses are probably the only thing that’s relatively normal here, as it makes sense that his glasses could exist in this time period, whether they be from Rome or any number of other places.

PS: I bet you’re wondering, ‘well what about the angelic disguise???’ Well fret not, for I loveloveloveee the heaven disguise. It just didn’t make sense to group it with the things I was talking about earlier, so here goes:

He’s still in grey, which is nice, but it’s really light grey. He also is wearing a turtleneck, which I find funny. Perhaps this is because most of the angels don’t wear a stereotypical dress shirt, so it helps with blending in. His jacket, however, is specifically not heaven-like. It’s far too casual, and even zips up, which leads me to believe that this is supposed to be satire on how professional the angels are supposed to be. He does have the color-coding right, though; he has a white shirt under a darker color jacket.

His thick ass tie is hilarious. It’s bright, it’s flashy, it's glittery, and it would seem very suspicious and attention-grabbing to me if I were an angel. I also find it fascinating that he does this, as gold is shown to be not as fashionable in season 2 (I’ll be using Uriel as an example in a moment). I think he does this so that he can show how tacky angels are and how not up-to-date he is with them.

Finally, I want to talk about his other accessories. 

The headband is really silly, and it gives him a little bit of poof in his bangs, which ever so slightly mirrors him when he was an actual angel. The black with light swirls definitely gives off a tacky vibe. 

His glasses have lighter colored metal frames, which I find interesting too. 

And he didn’t dye his tattoo gold for this btw. He put a freaking STICKER of his tattoo over his actual tattoo. That is HYSTERICAL to me I can’t even.

Overall, the fit almost gives off a Y2K vibe to it. I think that’s interesting too because maybe that’s the last time before the Apocawhoops that he saw the Angels’ clothing? I dunno, and that would also be interesting because he usually tries to dress as modern as possible, maybe he's being a couple decades out of date for the funnies. Anyway, it’s working and it is hella funny. And I love Muriel’s expressions during this scene, they are not convinced.

So, in summary, our snakey boi decided to dress in the tackiest, most satirical way for his angelic disguise. He does not look like a bee in this beehive, he looks like a poorly-dressed wasp, hehe. I wonder how Aziraphale would've reacted if he saw Crowley's disguise...

I don’t understand why anime men can be drawn looking handsome while also looking normal and wearing normal clothes, but sososo often, anime women are drawn looking like their tits are going to pop out of their bras and/or they wear provocative outfits.

Do men (or male artists anyway) not care if a woman is beautiful if she isn’t being revealing? Do her facial features, the way she carries herself, her hair, etc. not matter so long as she’s not trying to act like a seductress?

From my own experience with men I can only say one thing- they are liars. Or at least they like lying to themselves.

They will oftentimes say that they don't like women who reveal feminine features, but they do. Men like women and they like objectifying them. Bc if men are straight, logically, they're attracted to women. Bc woman's body is pretty and not just in a sexual sense. Sometimes it's just pretty for looking at; like art, nude modeling and act. Worshipped even. Woman's body is prettier than man's body in so many ways. But I think this beauty shouldn't be so heavily sexualized like it's often the case in the east. Japan has so much explicit content that they even have categorized shops at every corner, in public spaces. I don't know how Japanese women feel about this but statistics show that their birth rate is slowly declining. Besides poor economic situation, women don't feel respected or loved enough. And the feminism has risen in this part of the world as well.

Anyways, back to the point- I respect Gege for keeping his characters neat and the story heavily plot oriented without much fanservice (men are the fanservice lol). Gege also says that his parents are reading the manga so I suppose he doesn't rly want to feel like a disgrace lmao. I'm not sure if this was his marketing strategy to interest women into shōnen genre but it definitely worked, now jjk has become one of the most popular series of all time. And it's ok to have Mei Mei as one token representative of a "sexy woman" stereotype although I wouldn't rly call her sexy either. She's just a beautiful woman.

What definitely helps the whole situation is Gege's taste in fashion. No male mangaka that I know ever paid attention to this one very important factor. Fashion is a type of expression, and it can tell a lot about the character themselves without incorporating their personality in words. With that said, jjk women have so much personality to them, it's fascinating.

Mei Mei and Mai could be considered sexy, Utahime is a traditional authoritative beauty, Nobara is very stylish and confident, Maki is a strong tomboy girl, Miwa and Momo are girly and cute, Ozawa is a shy girl, Shoko is your typical CEO woman, Yuki is a biker girl. And some of them have short or tied up hair which is nice bc it can be just as feminine as long hair. He even introduced women's insecurities like Ozawa being overweight and that Yuuji didn't mind bc he found her writing and table manners pretty. Momo's outlook on woman's prejudice in jujutsu world is also something important to adress. Yuuta is shown kissing Rika bc what they're having is true love and true love doesn't know shallow boundaries. Gege understands woman's struggle.

In an interview, Gege revealed that he has similar mindset to Megumi and that he doesn't want to sexualize women as much. The way he treats woman body is purely artistic. At least watching these panels didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all.

Regarding Mei Mei's and Ui Ui's relationship, yea it's a taboo. But I think that author didn't want to promote incest, rather, he wanted to show that Mei Mei is a woman with flaws. And flaws are something that makes a person interesting, together with their virtues. She also likes money. To the point that Gojo made fun of her by flipping a coin to summon her bc apparently, Mei Mei lacks self-respect.

In contrast to her, Utahime respects herself too much. That's why she's often hysterical and Gojo tells her that hysterics won't win men (Gojo is a real mansplainer huh).

Gojo is rude and so is Sukuna. But Miwa and Yorozu don't even notice a man's flaw if they're interested in him (Gege knows a woman's mind too well, which is funny). That's why he's asking ladies to vote for Nanami instead of Gojo in popularity poll (women should set aside shallow interests and concentrate on person's kind soul).

Unlike them, Shoko is aloof and rational bc she's too aware of fleetingness of life, especially in her line of work as a doctor. Sure, she can be friendly and smile a lot, but she doesn't want to form any strong relationships with anyone. This is the only way she can keep her sanity in check. After all, jujutsu is just a marathon where the finish line is a pile of friends' corpses. Something the younger generations are a bit immature to understand.

Nobara is a very stubborn girl, she sometimes comes off as too bossy or rude (Yuuji calls her a bitch lol). But it turns out this was only her defense mechanism with people she's unfamiliar with bc she didn't want to be underestimated for being a country girl of limited thoughts and experience. Bc Nobara is indeed a great girl with many talents.

Maki is a strong, independent woman but this doesn't mean that she refuses help and support from people around her. She likes guys who are stronger than her (and Yuuta comes into picture, besides, he also suggested that he wants to crush Zenin clan together which explains her liking to him). Panda noticed that and wanted to play a wingman. Although his boobs question (Maki's insecurity) was a bit inappropriate (but it got the point across), Yuuta's answer was very polite which made him more likeable in her eyes.

Yuki and Todo are similar bc they're nosy, they enjoy exploring different people's interests and judge them whether they're considered "a person of culture" (which adds to the series' comedic aspect). I love Haibara's answer bc he says "I like women who eat a lot" bc he knows that women who eat are happy and that a hungry woman is an angry woman.

Gege understands women so much that fans are contemplating whether Gege is actually a woman himself or not. It's nice to have a mangaka who's this mindful.

your clothes laid freshly ironed on your dormitory bed, f/c and so pretty. mina had joked that the partygoers would be slobbering at your feet. you could only muster a humble ‘no they won’t!’ before ochaco butt in and agreed.

you laughed as you recalled the fond memory. butterflies fluttered in your stomach as there was a knock at your door.

“who is it?” you hummed, expecting ochaco to respond. instead, there was only a quiet shuffling as you saw something be pushed under your door.

a white envelope laid on your floor, sealed with blue wax. was this some sort of christmas card?

you picked it up gingerly, fingers gently peeling off the wax seal. you were careful not to rip the envelope, or whatever was inside. the card itself was of a beautiful winter lake, covered in ice as snow surrounded it and dusted upon the trees. a sound of astonishment escaped your lips.

“here, look at it! i think its from deku!” you squealed into your hands, giggling as you sprinted to your bathroom to change into your outfit for the dance. 

“yeah, its definitely from him!” mina said.

consider this my promise to have full detailed notes once i finish the entire series, but!! here is as far as i’ve got on linc (and grant! as a bonus!)

i! like character design! and i also like color-coding! like i said, i've taken it upon myself to solidify some designs for most of the main families. and one of the things i want to do is give everyone some cohesion across the board? with the wilsons specifically, i'm kinda loosely making them blue. i plan to give them pops of other colors since the fosters are much more solidly completely blue in my mind. (close family is red, oaks are green, and stamplers are black/purple for reference lol)

with link, i'm relying on pops of orange and yellow because i think the yellow fits the paladin vibe? he's not here, but i think i'm going with red and green for darryl mostly just because i really haven't thought of ways to change his look on the cover so he still has the red dad cap and green shirt to me. with grant, i'm nnnot entirely sure what to give him as a secondary color. i'll probably end up matching it to whatever colors i give the doodlers uniform.

speaking of! i've seen other people go with designs that have the kiddads in their soccer uniforms and like. yeah that makes sense! i'm not entirely going with putting all of the kiddads in just that uniform for (1) variety's sake and (2) i am sososo attached to the funky alternative pants i draw kid nick in i can't give those up. my personal justification for it is that the only kids whose uniform is plot relevant are the twins, and i don't really know for sure if it was ever said how far away the tournament was supposed to be? or if they were going to do anything after? so i think they can have a comfy casual change of clothes on them at the very least.

they're not pictured here, but my vision is that lark and sparrow are wearing their uniforms (at the start of the campaign at the very least. i might give them the matching shirts i like drawing them in also because i'm. i'm too attached to my old designs) but are wearing casual shoes and no socks or shin guards. nick is fully in casual clothes with the intention to change later. if terry jr was ever wearing his uniform, he ditches it for goth gear so fucking fast in the forgotten realms.

and back to grant specifically, i think that he'd already be in his uniform (minus the shin guards, i think he has slip on shin guards he only puts on before games/practice) for reasons of wouldn't want to change when they got there and also his dad is darryl and would probably be told to be ready to go immediately. but he gets to wear his gamer hoodie on top of it for warmth and comfort and for my personal style points.

because grant's shorts are part of an official uniform, i'm planning on putting a uniform number on them. though i don't know for sure which number i'm giving him. i'm leaning towards lark being #6, sparrow being #9, and flip-flopping between terry jr being #1 or #10. i also don't want overlap, and in my head, scary's uniform number is #2 and link is #13. so. much to consider.

link, on the other hand, is wearing generic soccer shorts because that's his entire closet. as for the rest of his outfit, i gave link a shirt with a funky pattern that's meant to be reminiscent of soccer patterns again because that's his entire closet. he's got that friendship bracelet that he made in the early episodes that i intend to have mirror a matching bracelet on scary's design.

the thing that i want to do with link and grant's jackets is to like. have some matching visual family flavor with the pixel pattern. i included it on grant's design initially because haha gamer. and like? i think it kinda works on link too with the whole simulation nonsense. aside from that, i thought it would be a cute way to bring in the blue theming and give their looks Character outside of just soccer. though i guess link's being a varsity jacket still lends itself to the soccer thing the boy just loves soccer too much i can't take it out of him.

and grant is a gamer. it's also the reason that i give these two angular eyes! i thought it would be funny to give my original grant design square-shaped eyes for the pixely effect and it carried over on to how i draw all the wilsons. this time around, i think that he would be a lot sharper while link would be a little softer. grant also has one heart missing from his shirt because he's grant <3

Argyle -> Surfer Boy Pizza Visor

I'm a huge hat person, but mostly with beanies and baseball caps. However, I love stealing people's hats. At a party onetime, I collected and wore as many hats as people let me borrow for the night. So during a bonfire night, I can definitely imagine meeting Argyle for the first time and ask him if I could borrow his visor. Through the night we just keep stealing it back from one another, and before I hand it back for the last time, I stuck my phone number on a piece a paper and tucked it into the velcro straps. Left him a blushing mess.

Robin -> Patch Jacket

I have my own that I've been working on since I was a sophomore in high school, and I think it would be really cute if we borrowed each other's jackets. Just casual days out where we wear each other's patch/pin jackets, and our friends try to figure out which one belongs to each of us. They've only ever seen us switch between them, and they never knew who the original owner was. I think it would be cute if we embroidered each other's names into the inside cuffs.

I am also a sucker for sailor knit/cable knit sweaters, and I will steal both at some point I definitely stole it after going pumpkin and apple picking on a cold autumn day, and he never really noticed. Just made sure to pull the collar close to my neck so I wouldn't get cold. When we hang out with everyone next, someone asks if that's his jacket I'm wearing, and he just smiles all warm and cute at me.

Billy -> Brown Leather Jacket and Red Button Down Shirt

I put style almost above all else, but coming from New England, I'm really good at finding stylish and useful clothing. Otherwise, I will freeze to death. When it comes to the rain, however, I will opt out of wearing a jacket or bring an umbrella, because I want to feel the rain hit my skin. I love it. But one day, after a shift at the diner, I didn't realize it was going to rain so hard, and I have to call Billy to pick me up. He dashes in and wraps me up in his jacket before we both book it back to his car. When we get home to our apartment, I take a shower while he makes dinner. I steal his red button down shirt that was strewn across the room and join him for a cozy night in.

Steve -> Yellow Sweater

You cannot tell me that this is not his favorite sweater ever, and that it smells exactly like him. I have to be very careful with how I acquire this piece, because he will not let it out of his sight. Steve is definitely onto how sneaky I am with how much clothes I steal, and he will not let me steal this one. It's his comfort clothing item. But after a long day of classes and building stress and anxiety, I just crash in our apartment bedroom and sob. Burrowing under the cover, chest heaving, puffy eyes, I don't even hear Steve come back from his afternoon classes. He immediately comes over and pulls me out to check what's wrong, and once I've calmed down, he carefully detangles himself and grabs his sweater from the closet. Pulls it over me and just lets me lay on his chest to listen to his heart.

Eddie -> Pants with the Belt

As much as I want to steal his jacket, I'll choose another clothing item to be original. But please ask me about how I stole his jacket one time. I typically fall out of bed at the last minute possible to be on time to meetings or classes, because I love how warm my bed is or because I never sleep. And if Eddie stayed the night??? Yeah, neither of us want to get up and leave the cuddle bundle. But exam day waits for no one, and I have to rush out of the house. Grabbing his pants and one of my shirts, I'm clicking the buckle to make it fit as best as I can while running out the door. I am a sucker and hopeless romantic when it comes to boyfriend jeans.

Nancy -> Oatmeal Turtleneck Sweater

This was hard, because she and I are on opposite sides of the style spectrum. BUT SHE HAS AN OATMEAL TURTLE NECK THAT I NEED. That is this softest, wool I have ever seen. Getting ready to go out to get groceries once the roads have been cleared from the snow storm last night, I grab her sweater, because it's like being wrapped up in a blanket. We were having a movie marathon the night before when the unexpected storm settled in, so we both agreed it was too dangerous to drive. An impromptu sleepover with soft chats, gentle touches, and tangled cuddles. The faint scent of her perfume still lingers on the comfy, slightly coarse yarn. She gives me the sweetest forehead kiss when she turns to ask if I'm ready.
