Not to ramble about this 100 years too late, but I just randomly remembered playing that night when Astarion comes to bite the PC for the first time. Specifically, how we only get a few dialogue options of various hostility, which is sort of fine, in this situation, but if you do decide to be cooperative, you can't ask, to me, the most important question, "Okay, but will this turn me into a vampire?" I remember I really wanted to ask that back then. Because at that moment, that was honestly my biggest concern there.

Look, call me ignorant, but I've never really been particularly interested in or cared about vampires (until BG3 when I started caring about 1 vampire and his 7006 "siblings"), I'd never studied the related DnD lore, never even watched or read Twilight, haha. My knowledge of vampires back then was a mix of pop culture, knowing some Dracula, Van Helsing (the movie), the Underworld movies, and the previous Baldur's Gate games. So, I'd always thought it goes like this: You get bitten by a vampire, and unless you die, you now have the vampire germ, congratulations to your immortality and also eternal curse! Kind of like with zombies, but you have to get bitten in the neck, specifically. Though, I guess, technically, you'd have to die to become a vampire, either way... Eh, I'm not saying it makes sense. I'd spent like zero time thinking about it before this game.

Astarion doesn't even tell us he's just a vampire spawn (which is something I know that exists only because I played BG2) until the next morning. Hell, he even jokes about how a "real" vampire could turn us in the same situation, in the morning. Like, sure, he shouldn't have sneaked up on us, but hey, we all have to eat, so that didn't concern me as much in the end as not knowing whether that'd fundamentally change my character's life.

So, after the whole back and forth with him, I let him bite my character, not getting much of an explanation, and genuinely not sure whether she'd be fine or turn into a vampire. Is it just me or was anybody else like, "Guess I might die? 🤷‍♀️"

I mean, I'm not complaining, but funny in retrospect.

Okay so I gave in and added four new guys at once to my list😂 To be fair about half of them are not entirely new ones, in Lyste's case I've always liked him and been fond of him but just never bothered to add him to the list, and when it comes to Veers, I used to have a short but intense crush on him when I was like ... 14? 15? 16? But I didn't know that self shipping was a thing yet and later, when I got into the community I had kind of forgotten about him😅 Also I'm not entirely sure yet about Aresko but I think he needs love so he can stay for now (also is there actually anyone who ships with his buddy Grint? I forgot to include him in my recent post but that would be so cute🥺)

Oh my god Yrz/Bruce Wayne!!!

Okay it starts with Yrz being reborn in Gotham still poor as dirt, but realizing that It’s Gotham, Yrz does what he does best: grind. He learns to fight and hack and launches a Very Very Successful author career (mostly by ripping of hits from his past life, because morals are for suckers. What like jkr is gonna cross dimensions and sue him for making Harry Potter not antisememetic and white as fuck and including more LGBTQIA characters? (Get fucked Joanne :)))

(Also Yrz probably does some magic research because he just finds that shit cool)

By the time he’s seventeen Yrz is well on his way to being a multi millionaire with a strangle hold on popular culture (like he’d stick to just books ha ha. Yrz Has No Chill) just from mining his past life lol. That means being invited to Rich Person Parties, and inevitably meeting Bruce Wayne face to face.

And what face it is!

Bruce Wayne is canonicaly hot as hell and Yrz has never minded a fling. The two of them have a occasional sex thing (Bruce Wayne: am I not….completely straight????) (Yrz has no idea he’s caused a sexuality crisis in Batman of all people lol). I’m thinking that Bruce is like 7-10 years older than Yrz here because that’s funnier to me personally. This fling goes on for years, until Bruce adopts his first child and somehow Yrz gets tangled up in that mess.

And then the Feelings start catching up!!!

What I wish would happen in Arcane season 2:
