Now it's time for me to talk about all the little things that Mirage did in ROTB that made me smile. I know, I know, I could just say "exist" and that would cut this post hella short and save me some time. But where's the fun in that? 🤪 My ROTB brainrot is bad!

There is no order, because Mirage is a rebel and I like that. I like it A LOT!

He messed with Noah by re-locking his door twice before he FINALLY let Noah enter. But then when Noah wanted to peace out because he realized that stealing Mirage may not be so easy after all, MIRAGE LOCKS HIM IN!!! He really said, "You're not going anywhere. You're mine now!" and then proceeds to kidnap Noah. Kidnapping is no laughing matter, but omg I just found that hilarious. 🤣

Mirage asked Noah multiple times to give him a little tap, and it was nice to see that in this moment Noah slowly became relaxed around Mirage and no longer felt scared of him.

*Noah falls hard on a bunch of junk after failing miserably to discreetly escape the Autobot meeting he was not invited to* Mirage: He's perfect!!! 🤣🤣 Basically, Mirage saw his new human friend try to escape and he thought nope! Let me rope him into our mission so that I can spend more time with him. He's slick af! 👀

I like how chill and reassuring Mirage is with Kris. He knew that moment with Noah and Kris is delicate, because Noah is trying to convince his little brother not to worry, even though he knows he's about to go on a very dangerous mission that he may not come back from. He freaking keeps that promise!!!!! 🥲🥲🥲

The sad look on Mirage's face when Noah rushes passed him to comfort Elena and make sure she's okay after she is safely rescued from a corrupted Airazor. He even tries to reach out a servo because he probably feels so bad that Elena was almost killed, and now Noah is freaking out because Elena was almost killed. The moment is brief but it was very sweet. He cares so much! 🥲🥲

I love, I mean FREAKING LOVE the scene when Mirage tries to peek into Kris' bedroom window to see what him and Noah are up to. I love this scene so much because he really could not help himself! It's adorable! He even tries standing on top of another car and of course the car is not strong enough to support his massive frame. But he tried! He really tried to be discreet and take a little peek because he is an alien robot, so it's natural for him to be curious about humans. And more importantly, curious about Noah. 🥺

That look on Mirage's face when Noah initiates a fist bump before he heads out to distract Scourge to buy Noah and Elena time to shut down the transwarp key control panel. It's just so AHHHHH! He's so happy and he just takes a few moments to look back at Noah. His smile in this scene is everything. 🥺

Mirage used his last remaining bit of strength to power his built in walkie talkie so that Noah could talk to Kris. And then he transformed into an exosuit and fused with Noah's body as a last, desperate attempt to protect him. 🥲🥲🥲🥲 I'M NOT CRYING, YOU'RE CRYING!!!!

"But what about for friendship? 🙂" I'm sorry, but that line KILLS ME! 🤣 It's sooooo cheesy but it's just so funny to me! Mirage has known Noah for like 10 minutes and he is so eager to be friends with him. It's really cute.

🌟 Edit: Since I got called out QUICK for not adding it (I wanted to see how fast people would react to that line not being mentioned 🤭), here it is:

Yeah, I'm convinced that Mirage knew exacty what he was doing when he said that and he is 100% that bot that will not hesitate to remind you of his awesomeness. He is not a "work friend" and "work friends" just sounds too formal and weird in this particular setting. He also could have just been oblivious to the sexual connotations associated with that line because he is an alien robot. But then again, somehow I doubt that. He's seen movies and has most likely been to drive-in theatres. I bet he said it to get a reaction out of Noah. Yes, that sounds more accurate. 🤣

Yeah, so basically Mirage is best bot and I think Pete Davidson absolutely nailed this role! 👏🏾 He gave it his all and he actually became Mirage. I thoroughly enjoyed Mirage throughout the entire movie and he better be in the next movie. 😤

Erica and Malleus exchanging love letters given Malleus poor knowledge in technology plus its cute. Then it later revealed that he kept all the letters like it’s his treasures and reads back on them.

Additional thought was Erica not knowing what to say and asking Rook for help just for him to go on a spiel but Erica got the help she needed in the long run.

Ahhhhh Jan!! Thank you so much for your ask ♡ It's so funny that you mention letters, because everything you said is true lol ♡

I know I haven't gone into detail about Erica and Malleus's relationship (yet!) but essentially, after they meet through Reunion at Milne Woods, they keep in touch through letters! (Like how Erica and Rook write letters to keep in touch ♡)

They're essentially penpals at first, developing a friendship with every letter they send (that turns into something more ♡) A long distance relationship/slow burn ♡♡♡

They visit each other on occasion, though it's mainly Erica coming to Night Raven (or the two of them agreeing to meet somewhere)

The letters turn from platonic to romantic longing as their relationship develops, and I like to think they both keep and cherish the letters, reading them back when they're feeling lonely/missing each other.

This is a bit angsty, but since Malleus will outlive Erica, he does his best to take great care of the letters. Keeping them in a box and treating them like they're a precious treasure. He reads them back to reminisce sometimes, even writing a letter to her when he feels especially lost or lonely. He leaves it on her grave for her to read ♡

I never considered Erica turning to Rook for help as to what she should write (for when their letters turn romantic) but it is funny to think about lol ♡ I know he's their biggest supporter, and she does go to him for advice when she her feelings for Malleus start to grow.

She naturally turns to Rook for advice (since he's her closest friend that's not a stuffed animal lol ♡) so I think she would show him the first letter Malleus sends that is romantic in nature (probably in a disbelief, look what he sent me, sort of way) They have fun talking/gossiping about her relationship as it progresses (he wants to know all the details about their letters and dates lol ♡)

Boxer (now trainer) Joel!! Reader has an asshole boxer bf! I hope Joel gets to beat the shit out of Tyler tbh. I really fucking love Ren's writing style and the way she builds up the characterization. Like we learn so much about Joel's life and personality, Tyler and Reader's relationship dynamic, Reader's sort of (as yet unknown to them) kinship with Joel, Sarah and Joel's relationship, and more all in 7K words. This fic is going to be so fucking lovely. I think it's one of those "Oh my god that poor man deserves to be happy for once in his miserable little life" fics and I LOVE those.

The Art of Healing - a Marcus Pike series by @northernbluess

This is such a gorgeous fic. It has a lot of discussion of ED recovery, so please read warnings and take care of yourself and don't read if it will hurt you BUT!!! The way the topic is handled in the fic is so fucking beautiful. Marcus is a precious angel baby and Jo is so so so strong and wonderful. It's really lovely to follow along with her therapy and see what she paints. It's also incredible watching her bond with Marcus grow. It's a slow burn, therapist x OFC, with lots of angst but also so many of these like... really tender and sweet moments. It's so clearly a story that is coming from the heart and I adore it and can't wait to read more.

I really like professor peña. Like it makes a lot of sense that he'd do that after retiring. I love the concept of this fic so much. And the tension is being built up so fucking well. Anywayyyy I fucking love this and I'm so excited for the next chapter ahhhh.

ANYWAY, let's see... underrated episode huh. i have a couple actually: Mr. Monk and The Missing Granny [S02E13], Mr. Monk and The Other Detective [S04E01], Mr. Monk Stays In Bed [S04E03], Mr. Monk and The Big Game [S05E03], Mr. Monk and The Class Reunion [S05E06], Mr. Monk and The Bad Girlfriend [S06E04] and Mr. Monk and The Magician [S07E15].

Okay, let's dive into it. With Mr. Monk and The Missing Granny there's that scene where he's just finished taking his test (not really lol) and he's locked himself inside Leland's office. it's very short, if you blink it you miss (i just spotted it like,, a couple of days ago during a re-watch) but he's trying to coax Adrian to open the door and he, so very fucking softly, says: "Adrian." before launching into this small, supportive spiel -> his constant support, even in slivers, of Adrian is so freaking beautiful.

With Mr. Monk and The other Detective. it's more funny "guilty hubby energy" than cute. he looks so GUILTY giving the job over to Marty Eels. like, pls. like @s-misaki once said:

Physical Touch, closeness, sharing things is tough but it's there!!!

the little football rugby match in Mr. Monk and The Big Game has like,,, quarter of my heart (the rest have been divided lol) - cause?? the?? trust?? teamwork?? is SO NATURALLLL. ahhhhh.

the main thing that blew my mind in Mr. Monk and The Class Reunion was how Leland drove all the way (sure, it was for a case) but i'm just,, he would go anywhere on earth for Adrian, wouldn't he. it's so freaking heart-warming idek (╥_╥)♥️.

Mr. Monk and The Bad Girlfriend,, that ep,, i swear. it was just. it was a good hint of how Leland sometimes DOES get fed up of Adrian and how Adrian always wants the best for Leland. it was equally heart-warming and heart-breaking. the underrated scene there though was how Leland shoved Adrian...

it's a very raw moment where the both of them do not seem to get along at all because they want something good and dont see it right in front of them *cough*... and it's just,, Leland's words there: "I have what you want..."

like gahhh, it's visceral if you come think about it. they never want to hurt each other but sometimes what you want isn't what you get and you have to settle and look for something else to fill in the gaping hole :).

Mr. Monk and The Magician is simply me loving Leland wanting to toss anyone out the window and smash them in the face for even hurting a hair on Adrian or loosing sight of him. What a man, XD.

ISM!Branch seeing JD again (even if this is not his JD still seeing him again) (all of the brothers seeing JD again)

SaS!JD talking to ISH!Branch about the guilt of losing someone (someones) and believing it is your fault and the grief

SaS!Clay dealing with a version of himself where JD did die out in the wild and he didn’t know.

This is totally not a weird question but holy buckets you totally gave me a bit of a fixation. I don’t think of crossovers often and the only time I did was mostly with the For This You Were Born au and I love Smoke and Starlight but it’s funny cause I hardly consider it as one of my aus I suppose 😂

But for real that’s crazy to think about. Like all of those things. ISH!Branch would be kind of devastated to find out about SaS not being raised by JD, that he didn’t have those adventures with him etc. and it really goes to show it had to be the “right time” as you said or he would have missed it.

And it would really mess ISH!Branch up finding out SaS!JD thought his brothers were dead for twenty years. Like that would be awful (he’d also be a tiny bit jealous because they all ended up being alive and well, he’s a young adult who misses the person who raised him)

SaS!Branch would be stunned. But it might give JD a bit more credibility when he says he came back I guess. After all, he did come back even if it was another universe. Although I think it would hurt a lot still, knowing another Branch got to be raised by one of his brothers and still loses him.

ISM!Branch would immediately go for that hug. Like there is no question about it. Even if he knew it wasn’t his JD, it wouldn’t matter. And SaS!JD would hug him back (he needs the hugs anyway). Yeah, when all the other brothers find out about ISH!JD they’d want hugs too which would baffle the others.

Sobbing cause those two would understand each other so well and they could use the support. SaS has been through a grief share that helped him a lot and he’d want that same healing for ISH!Branch even if it’s not his Branch.

SaS!Clay and ISH!Clay are similar a bit in that they have both thought about this but SaS!Clay has a more conscious realization. He would not take it well.

It's interesting, because this movie night could take place right before T2 begins, and act as a little celebration/preparation night. But also, I like the thought of doing it after T2 closes, since they'd have their verdicts in mind while they watched the videos...

No matter when it takes place, this round of videos would definitely be more tense, but at least some of that would be lessened by the fact everyone was involved in filming. While the first movie night was a way to break the ice and have a little fun, this event feels more solemn. It's definitely used as a pick-me-up after such an ordeal -- a way to offer tons of praise and support and understanding to their fellow prisoner before/after a time where they had to pretend to hate one another.

Haruka, Mahiru, and Amane's require some serious time afterwards to talk and recover. LMAO I love the thought of Yuno's video resulting in some cheers as well as some "yes ma'am"s 😂 But I think despite her honesty, actually seeing her in those situations would cause the prisoners to understand her much deeply that before. (And I like to think she tries to bond with Amane over having multiples of themselves in the video :D) Mmm, and having a little moment between Muu and Fuuta would be so nice here. As bad as he felt seeing her be a victim in the T1 video, now he feels bad for her for a different way -- he can relate to her situation more and knows her pain.

Ahhhhh I want everyone to meet and hang out with Shidou's family so bad ;---; Although they're still not allowed to leave the facility until the experiment is over, everyone immediately starts making plans to hang out. Mahiru asks their favorite foods so she can have him over for dinner. Haruka asks if they have any similar hobbies/games so he can play with them. Amane doesn't say anything, but listens really closely to all the conversations. And yeah, by this time Jackalope would have received too much pressure to ignore the paperwork surrounding Amane any longer. While he's at it, they make him look into Haruka and his sister as well.

I wanted to make a John joke so bad you don't even know 😭😭😭I'm definitely going to sneak some teasing in post-neoplasm because I just think that's so funny and the others would never let him live it down OMG (I saw another post about it, but maybe secretly Red thinks it's fun -- despite hating the actual name John, he's excited to actually receive a nickname after Mikoto has given so many out to others)

But no matter how serious it gets, they'd be able to dance and sing along with some of the upbeat videos! The singer themselves may encourage the others to join in, since it would take some of the heaviness off of watching themself like that. It's such a bizarre situation, but they embrace it and find a little fun where they can.

I also just realized they'd get to watch Undercover!! It's the first time they get to hear Es sing and they're very impressed, and also enjoy seeing everyone together after separate filming. The visuals are pretty basic, and I think it'd be mostly teasing one another about the uniforms or looking like a sad wet cat behind bars...

i was SO delighted when i saw this ask because if there are two things i love it’s 1) the sound of music and 2) icemav so naturally i would love to combine the sound of music and icemav right? FORTUNATELY i already have discussed this before with both @nicejobkid and @beterparker so i have Thoughts about this.

(i also have so many thoughts about the sound of music being mav’s favorite movie in canon but i can’t find the post i made on that right now so i’m just going to sit quietly and seethe)

but YES icemav sound of music au … the a/b/o verse was NOT included in our original draft but hey, what the hell! i can most certainly get behind it. i don’t have that many ideas for the a/b/o aspect of it right now but i love love LOVE the sound of music aspect of it…

just, ooooh i love the idea of mav being the one to teach ice to open his heart again, and just being so achingly mav that ice is helpless to stop himself from falling so hard and so fast after he starts to dethaw again… i love the idea of the daggers being their kids too bc those kids would ABSOLUTELY try to play matchmaker after things start to heat up between ice and mav… maybe we could have a little fun and spruce the au up with some original scenes too because i just know that hangman would be pushing ice and mav together like barbies, little shit that he is… phoenix too bc anything hangman does she has to do better LOL

and on mav’s side ugh the idea of him developing a very ill-advised crush on his hot boss who wants nothing to do with him is unfortunately so on-brand 😔 especially one he thinks is majorly out of his league (because in this au ice certainly would be)…

it’s interesting to think about how mav’s circumstances might affect his personality a little bit, the same with ice… but the most interesting and wholesome change to explore might be his faith (if one were to stick close to canon and make the abbey his home like maria) vs his sexuality and like… father viper (FATHER VIPER WOULD BE SO FUNNY) giving mav some very supportive lgbt ally parent advice about god loving all his children etc etc <3

maybe that would even be why mav leaves at first bc he’s not just in love with his boss who happens to be engaged to somebody else, he’s in love with a MAN … but love wins in the end and they all live happily ever after <3

anyway since you mentioned a/b/o thoughts like i said, i still don’t have many but uh . there might be something there with captain von trapp’s whistle 😏
