because this was looming over them, thinking they'll have to each go their own way after this, that this casual thing won't last, hiding it so it doesn't cause more of a mess than it has to, but here's Shuichi basically confessing it in front of the public, Kokichi is dying backstage, knowing he has to go out there in a moment and they won't get to talk (or make out) about it until later

they can make some duets in the future, maybe Kokichi can have a feature on a song or two of the band, and that means they obviously have to keep touring together in the future

I also have some notes for an AU where they're in a band together I don't think I shared before: band au where Ouma is the lead singer + guitarist, Saihara is bass, Kaede keys and Rantaro drums, they're all childhood friends and Saihara is also good at singing, but has extreme stage fright that renders him silent, he's been keeping it a secret from his bandmates knowing how pushy Kaede can be, but Ouma finds out and begs Shu to sing with him, in private for now, they're both songwriters (while Akamatsu is the main music writer, with only some assistance from others) so they start writing songs that are meant for duets, lyrics more fit for Shuichi than for Kokichi, but it's all done in secret, late nights working on songs together with nobody else around. And now soak it in an ungodly amount of pining, flirting that surely must be just teasing, love songs that definitely aren't genuine and simply will sell their debut album when they'll get there. Yes, they shall co-write songs about their feelings for each other, practice it for hours and be oblivious until Shu is finally ready to pitch the idea to their bandmates, that's when Kae tells them how it looks like and the DENIAL & BARGAINING begins oh and Akamatsu writes a lot of tunes and usually she hands them to either of them to see if they'll vibe with it and write something to fit so that's how they get away with having secret songs

Wang Shanyuan, more commonly known by his stage name, Yuan, is the leader of starcrush. Born in Hangzhou, China, it was always somewhat of a struggle for Yuan growing up. The only reason they were living in Hangzhou, was because he had other family members there, who had offered to support his family, when in need. Yuan was only fluent in Mandarin and didn’t have much knowledge about any other languages in the world which was a struggle when he moved to Korea later on in his life.

Despite his home life, Yuan was extremely popular at school, due to his likeable personality and supposedly ‘good looks’ that were said to be charming to many students. This was the opposite for his sister, Wang Liling, who was constantly bullied for being the worst ‘Wang Sibling’. Yuan chose to ignore his sister’s wishes for help, not wanting to bruise his reputation until she ended up in hospital because of a damaging incident. This was what soured the relationship between the two and caused them to grow distant, Yuan still attempting to fix the relationship from time to time with no success or progress.

March of 2017, was the last time Yuan saw China, as a few days later, he moved to Korea for undisclosed reasons. During his stay, he ended up making a few friends, without knowing much of the language. He quickly started to learn the language, in hopes of being a translator in the future when he stumbled across being an Idol as a career. Yuan had never thought about it before, but he had always excelled in music during high school and he also happened to be a good dancer. So when he heard Melody Media were holding auditions close to his home, he took the opportunity and landed a spot in the pre-debut group IN-SYNC.

IN-SYNC soon disbanded as a pre-debut group in perpetration for the confirmed group’s initial debut. After many altercations and changes to the lineup, Yuan debuted with STARCRUSH on April 12th, 2019 with the viral song ‘In My Dreams’. He is currently the group’s leader, sub vocalist & lead dancer.

Kang Haesoo, more famously known by her pseudonym, Star, was born in Changwon, South-Korea to two wealthy parents. Haesoo was an only child and was constantly given money and attention by her parents since they had no other children. This would make Haesoo seem spoiled and ungrateful to the other students that attended her middle & high school so they gave her the nickname of 'Kang Princess' to both make fun of, as well as annoy her. Haesoo attempted to ignore the constant teasing by her classmates, but it was extremely hard for her, especially when she knew what they were saying was true, she just didn't want to accept it.

When she was younger, Haesoo had already been heavily involved in child acting, her parents thrusting her into the spotlight at an early age with commercials and a few roles in tv shows and movies. This continued until she quit acting in Early 2015. She often spent time alone, being wealthy was one thing, but having zero friends was another problem. Nobody wanted to be friends with a 'spoiled rich girl' and because of this, Haesoo stayed home most days, never going out like normal teens her age would.

Spending all her time locked away in her room, studying, writing rap lyrics, or doing absolutely nothing, is what caused Haesoo to become increasingly more interested in the idol industry, and when she did, she was very eager to be apart of it. Previously, she had heard and watched many idols perform, but she didn't think about what it would be like if she was up on stage, always on camera. But when she finally did, it seemed to become a huge dream for her and she would not stop mentioning it to her parents. However, Haesoo struggled to find an entertainment that accepted her. Some offered to let her in without an audition, due to her parents wealth, but she insisted on passing with her own talents to do things without always involving money.

The last company she auditioned for, was Melody Media, and it was her last hope. If the audition didn't go well, Haesoo decided that she would just have to quit her dream and continue focusing on studying every other week. Fortunately, she passed her audition and started her life as a trainee in the middle of 2016. Shortly after, she was added to the lineup for the pre-debut group, IN-SYNC, and started training with the rest of the group until she debuted in STARCRUSH as the group's main rapper and sub vocalist.

Born in 2000, Cho Michae was born in Perth, Australia along with three other siblings. From a young age, it was clear Michae was going to have a career in music. She had always dreamed of playing an instrument and was exceptional at both singing and dancing. This is what led Michae to start playing the violin as well as the guitar throughout Elementary and Middle school. Nearing the start of High School, she still stuck to the violin and dropped guitar once she realized that she was struggling to keep up with both, and she had just recently joined the school’s choir. Michae then transferred to the Australian Performing Arts Grammar School, in Glebe, Australia, for better education opportunities for her to pursue a musical career.

During her High School days, she was part of a popular band named ‘DAYDRUM’ where she was the lead guitarist and occasionally featured in the vocalist role, but since she had stopped playing the guitar a while ago, it was difficult for her to learn how to play again. A few years after the band was created, Michae realized that it just wasn’t for her and officially quit, still pursuing other interests and instruments in her spare time. This was around the time where she was emailed by Melody Media after they watched her final performance together with the band when it went viral after its upload on youtube, with it being plastered on every single social media platform. This email is what pushed Michae to attempt to enter their online global auditions, in the hopes of being accepted.

In Winter of 2015, She was accepted into Melody Media and immediately placed in the trainee group IN-SYNC. Without her family’s consent, she moved to Korea, ready to start training whenever she could. Despite her place in IN-SYNC she was later sent to participate in the M-NET produced survival show, PRODUCE 101. Michae placed 14th overall in the show, which didn’t really matter to her as she was promised a debut either way. The company expressed their thoughts on Michae being a rapper, which she shot down very quickly as she had no experience in rapping, but Melody Media insisted and she then took classes to aid her in grey areas up until debut. She then debuted in STARCRUSH as the group’s main rapper & main dancer.

Kim Theo’s parents had disappeared and left him at a young age, so, he had always lived with his Aunt and Uncle, along with his cousins in Leicester, England. Ever since he was five years old, Theo had always been interested in being an idol as soon as he saw 2PM & SHINee on the big screen. But, his legal guardians were not very supportive or appreciative of the idea. Theo often felt isolated inside the home and it felt as if he didn’t belong there, or as if he was intruding on them constantly. He was taken care of and cared for properly, but his Aunt & Uncle refused to let him audition for any entertainment companies, explaining that it was a waste of time and that he could be doing bigger and better things in life than just one unattainable job he had wanted since childhood.

Something else that had stopped him from pursuing this dream, was an injury he sustained when he started to play football professionally for his school. Theo had severely fractured his ankle, meaning he wasn’t able to play for a year and it halted his plans to audition for entertainment companies that same year. During his recovery period, his parents finally decided to reach out to him, which angered Theo immensely and he refused to speak to them, despite their pleads for him to come back and live with them. At this point, Theo had given up on both football and being an idol. It seemed as if neither careers were going to be attainable after his injury and it felt as if everything in his life was going completely wrong, recovery was just too much for him.

Despite all this, his parents had still not given up on convincing him to live with them and decided to take it upon themselves to check him out of the hospital and tried to convince him to go home with them, which failed and a restraining order was immediately placed against the couple. Exactly a year after Theo’s incident, he had fully recovered but had clearly given up on being an idol when he was scouted in England by Melody Media after they had decided to look for more global idols for their company image. They scouted Theo mainly based on his looks, not asking for anything else during his audition and he was accepted through to the trainee section of the company.

In 2017, Theo was added to the lineup for IN-SYNC and soon after, he debuted in STARCRUSH as the group’s lead dancer & main vocalist.

Hwang Daehyun, better known as Dae, had been born into a very strict and professional household with a family full of successful people who were positive Daehyun would be successful too, and he was. Daehyun had plans to become a lawyer and was constantly throwing himself into studying and education so that he wouldn’t disappoint his family. This gave Daehyun a lot of stress and he lost a lot of free time just hauled upstairs and locked away, in order for him to impress everyone he knew. Whenever his friends or other family members asked him to hang out with them, he would always have to decline to make sure he didn’t fall behind on his studies.

He kept this up until he suddenly became sick due to the lack of nutrients he wasn’t getting, and he wasn’t eating any other supplements to help this out. Instead of being worried about his condition, his parents brushed it off and told him to keep working. They claimed the reason why he fell ill was because he ‘wasn’t working hard enough’ which sent Daehyun over the edge and he decided that he had to quit, even if it meant disappointing his parents. But surprisingly, they were supportive of him, realizing that they were a little too harsh on him and that they couldn’t control everything he did in his life.

Daehyun’s friends would often joke around about being an idol and that’s where his sudden interest sparked. At first, he played along joking about the idea but then it began to intrigue him, so he then started to research about it, which further catapulted him into a spiral of questions about the industry. After a long time of thinking, Daehyun finally realized that he was set on becoming an idol and introduced this idea to his parents. This took a lot of convincing and pleading since his parents were extremely surprised that he brought this up, and weren’t extremely sure if this was something he should go for. But, they finally caved in and allowed him to start auditioning for different companies. Daehyun had been constantly practicing and this meant that a range of labels were reaching out to him and accepting his auditions. Daehyun ended up choosing Melody Media as it was one of the closest to him and he didn’t want to have to separate from his family.

He was one of the last trainees to join the IN-SYNC lineup, being added last minute in 2018 just before the disbandment of the pre-debut group meaning he only spent a few months practicing with them but still managed to stay apart of the lineup, avoiding being cut off. In spring of 2019, Daehyun debuted in STARCRUSH as the lead rapper and lead vocalist.

Life in California was everything but peaceful for Yoo Bonnie. Her family were also extremely rich, but often neglected and chose to ignore Bonnie and the rest of her siblings, meaning that they had to focus on raising themselves & each other. Time together was barely enough for the family, and their Mother began to realize how unhealthy it was and took off with the four siblings. Things continued to be the same and nothing changed drastically, they were all still being ignored by the only parent they had left, so Bonnie got used to the same routine everyday. Bonnie was not exceptional at singing either and thought did a very long time, that her lack of vocal skills would be her downfall.

At that time, Bonnie’s older sister, Melanie, was taking dance classes and she had decided that she desperately wanted to join her as she had always found dancing fun and an interesting hobby to pick up since it didn’t seem very difficult. Bonnie was completely wrong, she often came home with bruises from continuously falling over and even sometimes, sprained limbs when she tried too hard to match her sister’s pace. A year since she had started dancing, was when Bonnie could finally keep up with the rest of the class, and began to go further than most each week. A few months later, and she had already been performing at festivals, and occasionally at her school.

It wasn’t until late 2017 when both her and her older sister, Annie, were scouted at one of Bonnie’s festivals where she was currently performing in along with Melanie, their aunt cheering them both on. One of Melody Media’s scouting crew persuaded her to audition for their company and after a long conversation, she finally gave in. Bonnie was accepted into Melody Media and joined the lineup for STARCRUSH in early 2019 as the last pre-debut member of IN-SYNC. She then debuted with STARCRUSH as the group’s main dancer & lead rapper.

Miura Narumi, also known as Darling, was always a positive & vibrant person, even since birth. Narumi would always help out her family members and even her neighbours whenever they asked, this however, did not put her in a good spot. She was often picked on in school for being ‘naive’ and too ‘trusting’ when it came to who weren’t and who were her friends. This made Narumi often feel isolated from others and as if she didn’t have anyone else to talk to or simply just be around, since no one wanted to be near someone like her.

Narumi had always loved growing up in Japan, she loved her hometown and loved the fact that it was so easy to see her extended family members, but when it came to the time for her ti start thinking about her career, Narumi knew she didn’t want to stay stuck in Japan for the rest of her life. She didn’t have many options though, there wasn’t anything she excelled in or liked enough for her to make a career out of it, expect music. However, Narumi’s parents desperately wanted her to become a Doctor or a Teacher of some sort, which was exactly the opposite of what she wanted to be but they just would not let the idea go and continued to pressure her into it.

That was when she decided that she just couldn’t be near them anymore, and decided to go to South-Korea, alone. This decision was extremely hard for Narumi, because it meant living away from her family and going into a foreign country she knew nothing about and had no idea how to speak the language for a long period of time. Luckily for her, the rest of her family had soon followed behind her, not wanting to leave their daughter alone at such a young age. Whilst out with a few friends she had made in her short time in Korea, Narumi was scouted by Melody Media after they had heard a short few minutes of her singing.

Narumi was the last of the group to join the lineup and was a late addition, only being introduced after the disbandment of the pre-debut group IN-SYNC. She debuted in April, 2019 as the group’s lead vocalist & lead dancer.

AUs i’m not sure that i’ll ever write, so i’ll make a post with headcanons part 1: rockstar!abc boys:

hmr is an entertainment company with ceo mikoto, manager kusanagi, soloist totsuka, hip-hop duo yata and kamamoto, and the abc boys forming a rock band (anna is a trainee who isn’t set to debut yet). the agency is originally small and at the verge of bankruptcy. their artists and trainees would have to share cramped dorms, stuffy studio rooms, and aggressively promote their music via social media and sometimes even handing out flyers advertising their concert in the busy streets of shizume

i am being biased but i can see shouhei as the lead singer. he just has a very charismatic and outgoing personality that fits as the frontman of the band. although eric is definitely not the type to sing, i like to think he offers some vocals only because his japanese va has a nice voice lmaoo. chitose can also fill the role of the sub vocalist, but i like the idea of him being the playboy main guitarist. fuji is the drummer, bandou and dewa are the bass players, while eric also plays the guitar

the abc boys originally start out as an underground rock group with a small, but loyal fanbase. slowly but surely, they see a growth in their popularity with them doing numbers on their newer music, tickets selling out in big arenas, being invited to multiple award shows, and even winning some big awards.

thats not to say the boys end up becoming this squeaky clean, bubblegum pop boyband. a good chunk of their popularity comes from their rebellious, bad boy image. vulgar lyrics and music videos, multiple controversies such as rowdy parties that end up destroying whatever hotel room theyre renting, chitose (accidentally) scorning indie singer maria, diss tracks about other artists, getting into fights and other scandals, etc.

the boys are two years in their career when one of their rival companies debut a pop girl group. and unlike the boys, this girl group’s debut is highly anticipated since they’re from an established and rich company with other popular artists as their predecessors. so its no surprise that the group’s first mv and pre-release track debuts with high numbers

the girl group is composed of four members. each member is inspired from celebrities/characters from different media based on physical character traits or personality traits:

miyako: the eldest and the lead vocalist who is known for her ice princess like visuals. off camera, she is the easy-going mom friend of the group who comes from a wealthy family with a background in business. inspo: jisoo from kpop group blackpink, donna troy/wondergirl from dc comics, and kuchiki rukia from bleach

izumi: main rapper and self-proclaimed leader of the group. blunt and aloof, izumi is hard to impress and has a fondness for punk fashion and music. inspo: dinah lance/black canary and artemis crock from dc comics/shows, nana osaki from nana, with a little dash of jennie from blackpink (jennie’s onscreen personality during music videos)

kaoru: main dancer and lead rapper. a tomboyish girl who loves to have fun, but has a bad temper and can be kind of a bully. inspo: buttercup from powerpuff girls, lisa from blackpink, artemis crock and raven from dc

sakuno: the center and the main vocalist of the group. as the youngest and most soft-spoken of the group, she learned how to use her girlish charms and looks to get what she wants. inspo: nana komatsu and a bit of reira from nana, bubbles and blossom from ppg, jennie and rosé from blackpink.

despite the genres of both groups being completely different from the other and the girls being a newer group, it doesn’t stop the media and their fans from constantly comparing them, with the boys being one of the biggest groups around and the girls rapidly gaining popularity.

at first, the boys don’t pay that much attention to the girls. they’re hot girls doing pop music, of course a lot of virgins are gonna eat that shit up. but the more comparisons they see by fans and the media, the more articles they see about the girls possibly surpassing them and being better than them, the more it gets to them. like wtf? why the fuck are they always getting compared to this group of privileged girls who gets everything handed to them on a plate?? unlike those snobby little princesses, they actually worked hard and earned their success. they actually write and produce their own fucking music, instead of sitting in the studio room and looking pretty, while someone else writes their lyrics for them

the girls weren’t too sure on how to feel about the guys at first. while they admired the fact that the boys were able to pave a path for themselves to stardom despite being from a broke company, they’re a bit wary about them. the boys have been involved in a lot of feuds, which got them on the bad side of the general public here and there. and sure, they don’t always start shit, but they always play dirty in response. some of the members don’t even have the best reputation with women, which doesn’t help their case

It also doesnt help that even though their fans are always beefing, theres still a large portion of them that ships members of both groups with each other. This helps to be a great marketing strategy by the girls’ company, making sure to have the boys name dropped frequently in articles or bios about the girls, comparing their success and labeling them as each other’s counterpart, which boosts their engagement.

but despite all the constant comparisons, both groups avoid the hell out of each other whenever theyre in the same public setting (i.e. music award shows). the guys think the girls are talentless posers who trying to ride on their dicks for fame, while the girls just want to avoid accidentally creating any dating rumors cause god forbid they accidentally glance at one of the boys or sit near them

it doesn’t take that long for the girls to sense some sort of animosity from some of the more vocal guys like bandou and even chitose to some extent, so the resentment soon turns mutual and the girls start to think that the guys are a bunch of lowlives

me being me tho, the tension between both groups soon turns into sexual tension between some of their members lmaooo

i envision the four girls to get with shouhei, chitose, dewa, and bandou, but if anyone is actually reading this and thinks differently, please let me know!

dewa/miyako: on the surface, they seem to be the most similar, with both of them having the more serious/strict image of their group. dewa thinks otherwise since miyako is way more outgoing and lenient with her members. he initially looks down at her for being part of an ‘artificial’ pop group, and thinks of her as an airhead, but is surprised to know that she does have a few things in common with him, such as their rich and smothering families. both are also 100% done with their friends’ antics.

chitose/izumi: far from the shy type, izumi is no stranger to promiscuity, having her share of partners in the bedroom. but between the scandals with her friend maria and many other female celebrities, and the way his group looks down at her group, izumi wouldn’t really feel bad if she wakes up one day to headlines about chitose catching std and his group being forced to disband. but after multiple attempts of flirting from chitose’s end, both form a superficial friendship and party together, which slowly turns into late night private conversations with cigarettes in their hand and a bottle to share.

bandou/kaoru: a hate to love dynamic, these two clash the most out of them all and are the last couple to hold hands, let alone get together. from their first meeting (which is coincidentally when they both caught shouhei and sakuno together), kaoru tells bandou how much of a loser he is and that he should pursue another career since his music is not it. bandou calls kaoru a dyke and that theres a reason why she’s the least popular of her group. both are quick to press each other’s buttons, unknowingly hitting some sore spots.

shouhei/sakuno: the romeo and juliet of the groups, they’re the first couple to get together tbh. although they both knew of each other and would attend the same music award shows, they formally meet each other through a mutual friend. although there was a mutual attraction, sakuno tries to bottle her feelings and keep her distance while shouhei tries to pursue her. they initially start off as friends with benefits since both have busy schedules, but the feelings are too strong and next thing you know, late night hookups at the other’s apartment slowly turns into secret late night dates at reserved beaches and restaurants. their interactions start the domino effect of the other members’ interactions.

other couples include fujieric who are in a slowburn ‘will they’ situationship, and mikototsu who are in a secret relationship

Second of all, I agree with that anon about finding Jimin fascinating. I have never been this intrigued by any other celebrity. I find him different but I don't know why. He is good looking but so are other idols. I mean it's Kpop. Most have to be good looking to make it. It's just such a weird thing. Like you can't help but notice him. Everytime I watch a BTS related content, he is the first person I notice. He isn't even my favourite but my eyes will instantly see him before anyone else. I saw your ask come in days ago, just as I was logging out of the app and felt a bit bad because I knew I wouldn't have any time for Tumblr for the next few days. Lately, I've actually wanted to remain active here, but life keeps getting in the way. I know it's not a big deal but I really am thankful that so many of you understand that I'm active here only when I can afford to be. 💜

On to more interesting topics, yes to everything you said about Jimin. There's no other member I write about here more than Jimin and it's something I don't ever feel like apologizing for because that man is infinitely captivating.

It's rare to see someone who recognizes exactly what he is, as young as Jimin did. There are many points over the years that Jimin has done something, and it registered in my head that this man is different. It's human to be a bit self-indulgent, to be a little self-absorbed, a little self-deception is a very natural mechanism that sometimes shields us from other people's projections and malicious intent. And so it struck me as almost inhuman in how acutely aware Jimin was to recognize his need to be seen, heard, in the most audacious format available to him as a 13 year old boy in Busan, South Korea.

His depth of self-knowledge, indicative of his unusually high intelligence, is at the source of his magnetism and charisma. In my opinion. You can see it in his eyes and it amplifies his already unnatural beauty.

I recently started speaking with a Jimin-bias on Twitter and we've become good friends. She described Jimin like this (and I've linked in sources):

That is one reason I am ecstatic about FACE. The music itself is one thing and we'll deal with that when we get there - I may or may not like the music (though given what he's released so far, the fact he's in BTS, and him working with RM and PDogg, I doubt it). But the subject matter of FACE: Park Jimin, would interest me even if I was on my death bed with only 10 KB of data available for me to use one last time.

I'm not very good at explaining what I mean, but I hope those who love him don't take offense when I call Jimin a freak. Because that is what I'm absolutely convinced he is. I don't know how else to express just how beastly I think he really is. Looking at him for me is like looking at one of those lenticular prints that shift into different things depending on lighting - like you turn your head one way looking at Jimin and you see a panther, turn your head another way and you see a dove, turn yet another way and you see a snake. And each animal is the most perfect expression of its form. He hones every quality he expresses with a meticulousness that scares me sometimes, because every example of that sort of personality I've seen in music has burnt out or passed before 40 (Prince being the only exception). The rapline have an identical quality but they seem less volatile than Jimin to me for some reason.

Anyway, I'm rambling. I'm excited about FACE and Anon when I saw your ask come in days ago, I suspected you were fishing (lol), but also I love Jimin and will take every excuse to talk about him. It's also way easier to talk about him than it is to talk about Yoongi, Namjoon, and Hoseok for me lol.

Speaking of which, it goes without saying that Jimin's evolution in self-awareness is also a result of his relationship with the rapline in BTS, as well as some other members. Jimin's comments about how he relies on those three, of what he thinks of their characters, and about how those three have assisted and influenced him, are consistent with how I see them too.

Back to Jimin, he's a once in a lifetime personality and there's nothing wrong with admitting it.

Okay, been a while since my last post BUT I came bringing more Goodreads from Romance Club. Alright, so it’s no secret that it’s been release after release with this app and I’ve just recently stepped into the world of “Garden of Eden,” now when I say this is a good read. It’s a good read! I’ve been a fan of Kpop for as long as I can remember and to have a book that showcase the world of Kpop is just heart touching. And mind you, Anastasia.G who wrote “On Thin Ice” and “Seduce by the Rhythm” never fails to deliver. I expected no less. So, let’s get into my thoughts about everything I read so far and the LIs.

Garden of Eden

Alrighty, when first reading this book. It’s started off with a big bang and by that I mean, I was IMMEDIATELY transported into the world. Not a single moment went by without a beat. Now, I don’t want to go into too much since that’d be spilling spoilers and that’s never the points of my posts, so I’ll do my best to keep to general knowledge and information known by the book description. The book will start off in the limelight of a kpop girl group and a tragedy that makes the MC leaves for 6 months to come back and have herself put back together to lead her group back into idol stardom again. AKA their comeback. (There may be some Kpop terminology that may be unfamiliar to some but I’ll have a Kpop Terminology glossary index at your disposal at the end of this post.) MC coming back—still in her mourning is now the new leader of her group, the visual and the face/center. So, basically MC is under a lot of pressure to be the shining example of an idol in her group even after the tragedy of losing a twin sister as well as a member.

The first 3 episodes of season 1, there is already drama, pressure, and a love brewing under the surface. And so far, there has only been 3 Kpop groups, 2 soloist, and an actor that has been introduced in all, within the 3 episodes. And of course, we know the manager and producer. So, let’s start with the members of the group the MC is in.

SIRENS

Aria - Lead Dancer, responsible for the choreography and she manages their social media accounts. What I can say about her personality is that she is very blunt, honest, free spirited, the rebel type, and loves the gossip. But she cares overall. She’s a hard worker and she cares a lot about the group. 

Yeon-ah - I’d say, she is the Maknae of the group and she is heavily involved in the song writing for the group. Personality wise, she is on the timid side, she’s sweet, kind, and very caring. I’d say the only thing that might be off putting about her is that she doesn’t speak her mind when she is going through something or she is facing some inner turmoil.

YOU - You are the leader, the visual, and the face/center. Your twin sister was the leader but after she died. You are the one to take over. A lot of pressure is riding on you to keep it together and keep your head down until your comeback album is released to the masses. Personality wise, you have all the callings to be a great leader and member (as long as you are able to make the choices lol) but if you are anything like you sister. You are a fighter deserving your fire.

X-EVO

Seong-hwa - He is the leader, lead vocalist, and manages their social media accounts. Personality wise, he is driven and very confident. Quite the gentleman I may add. However, very very private. And I’m not sure if that’s something to fear or be suspicious about. Also, Love Interest.

Woo-jin - Groups lead dancer but I can’t speak a lot on his personality.🤔 What I’ve gotten so far that he likes a good laugh and good company. Nothing big doesn’t stick out about him. But that could be because MC hasn’t gotten to know him yet.

Dean - Rapper in the group and visual. Same thing about personality. Not a lot to say BUT he is a woot of fun and out spoken. (I lowkey hope he becomes a LI down the line for MC. I’d like to explore that route.)

Next Group…

RK3

Castiel - Lead dancer of the group. Personality wise, he has a temper and no matter the trouble he gets in he always seems to come out on top. However, you notice pretty quickly that he cares. He is also an amazing cook it seems. (But you’ll find that out through the choices you make) However, he is also a bit mysterious and was also close with MC sister. So, it is someone to keep eyes on. Also, Love Interest.

Kai - He is the rapper of the group. Personality wise, not a lot about him so far. He seems genuinely kind and sweet. I can almost tell he is adored. But considering MC never got to spend a lot of time with him just like with the other members of the group.

Lin - Is the leader and lead vocalist. Personality wise, he is calm and well mannered. But there is not a lot about him yet.

Next Up…

Soloist!

So far, there is Lia and Mi-yeon.

Lia - She has been really supportive of MC. She is a singer plus songwriter. Personality wise, she is kind and caring. She seems to look out for MC. But there is a lot to uncover about her generally. Also Love Interest.

Mi-yeon - Is a singer and got her big break after the tragic incident. SIREN had to take a break and next thing she was on top. She was close with MCs sister. But wants to keep that unknown. She has secrets for sure. But what they could be is what bothers MC.

Actor

Jin Doo-yeong - He is an actor. Very popular and known. He seems to like art but he is very mysterious. Not a lot to say about his personality but he is very much the gentleman. Also, Love Interest.

━━ lee jiho : 2023 year end review

“what were some of your greatest accomplishments this year and out of all of them, which one was the most memorable one for you?”

it might be a cop-out for him to answer this with future dreams season 7, but he can't think of any other answer that comes close to it. writing chaser is something that he had really never thought would be something that he would get to do so early in his career—never in his wildest dreams did he imagine that he would get to work on all aspects of a solo song only 2 years after debut. it's kind of crazy but also he feels like legacy did something wonderful by giving him this chance to do it.

he really feels more confident in himself and in his own work more than ever. he can only hope that eterval enjoy the song as much as he did, and that they appreciate all of the artistic things he added in.

“what are some of your personal goals for 2024?”

he hopes that agito can have a good comeback in april and this song does better than all of their others. he hopes they can get a PAK for music show wins, even if he thinks that might be wishing a bit too hard. if not for this upcoming comeback, then the one after. he also hopes to be able to write and produce a title song for agito one day, or perhaps v&a if the timing works out. he wants to write more songs and he wants to produce more songs too. if possible, he thinks it would be fun to compose for a group outside of legacy—he'll never forget the prank that kyuwon had pulled on him for his birthday, and how he had been disappointed that it had been a prank and not something real.

aside from composing and producing, he wants to do more magazine spreads and cfs maybe. he thinks that those are always fun to shoot and he doesn't mind doing interviews as much as he used to. also, he wants to appear on shows with agito.

“aside from the role attached to you (eg. main vocalist, lead dancer, etc.) what else do you think you contribute to the group?”

he doesn't really have to think too hard for this question either, even considering the fact that he's gained a new position recently. he's definitely the lyricist/composer in the group though he feels pretty proud that the other members of agito seem to also be interested in dabbling in that too. he's enjoyed being a member of the 'producer line' of v&a as well and working with yushin and yeonwoo too with all of the yujiwon things has also been great.

he also like to think that he helps keep the dorm neat, though he's not sure if that's just because the other members are worried he'll yell at them for not cleaning up after themselves when he comes back late at night or something.

“as a group, what do you hope to accomplish in the next year or two?”

as a group, he had already mentioned a PAK as a goal and that mostly was for agito. considering they've recently worked on 'timeless' together, he thinks it would be nice if the fans received the song well since the lyrics were really written for them. it's not officially a fan song, but he likes to think that the fans will understand that it technically is.

he hopes to be able to perform it for them soon.

going with that, he wants to write another song with the other agito members since the first one had been so much fun to work on together.

another big goal that he hopes to achieve for agito is to have a world tour for them (maybe along with versus, since it wouldn't be right to only send half of the group on tour, right?) and if possible, another comeback later in the year.

The long-awaited LEE JUNHO 1st FANMEETING <JUNHO THE MOMENT 2023> IN KUALA LUMPUR, organised by iMe MY, will be held at Mega Star Arena, KL on 18th November, 2023 (Saturday). This is also the star’s first solo fan meeting tour since debut!

Lee Junho debuted as a member of 2PM in 2008, is the group’s main vocalist and lead dancer. The group has received attention since their debut song “10 Out of 10” and subsequently received even more fame with the release of the single “Again & Again” in 2009. Lee Junho has participated in writing and composing over 108 songs, which includes “Hands Up” and “Give It To Me”.

The talented Lee JunHo did not just stop there. He challenged himself by acting on the big screen for the first time in 2013 with <Cold Eyes>, where he impressed viewers for his acting. From then, he has been active in the acting industry, and even made another achievement with the hit office-comedy drama <Good Manager>. He was praised for his villainous acting in the drama, which consequently led him to his first lead role in a drama on the same year.

After returning from the military in 2021, Lee Junho stared in the historical romance drama <The Red Sleeve>. The hit drama swept off 8 awards at the 2021 MBC Drama Awards, with him getting the "Top Excellence Award". He was also the first idol-actor to have won the “Best Actor – Television at the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards". His popularity starts to skyrocket since then and rose even higher with his latest drama <King The Land>, where he co-stared with Yoona, capturing the hearts of many viewers!

Lee Junho’s first solo fan meeting tour will kickstart in Taiwan, and will take him across eight Asian cities including Macau, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Bangkok. What if NCT was a regular group?

Rather than having 20 members (and god knows how many more will be added with NCT Tokyo), what if NCT was a five member group? If I were to make the group, who would be in it and why?

I personally think that NCT is a bloated group and that there are too many members who are not that talented or just don't stand out. Having too many members also takes the shine and attention away from the actual talented members in the group. The unique concept of the group of adding members whenever the company pleases and creating more and more subunits, makes it hard for the fans to get into the group. The concept is waaaay too complex and not very beneficial in the long run.

So, I was wondering what would NCT look like without any subunits and with only limited number of members.

I'll begin by choosing 5 members who are the most talented and deserve to be in the group.

Taeyong, Mark, Jaehyun, Ten and Haechan.

They are all multi talented and can contribute tremendously to the group. Let's break it down.

Taeyong: Leader, Main Rapper, Main Dancer, Centre, Main Visual, Face of The Group

Taeyong is the most talented out of NCT. He's a good rapper and a dancer, an amazing leader and his visuals are absolutely no joke. His stage presence is INSAAANE! I think all his positions in this group is justified. He has brought in a lot of fans for NCT since and still continues to do so. When you think of NEO CULTURE TECHNOLOGY, Taeyong is the one who usually comes to people's minds first. He's the most popular internationally and is quite popular domestically. He has the biggest and the most dedicated fanbase. Not to mention, he also writes and composes songs and choreographs dances. He's also very creative and brings some great ideas to the group. He's pretty good at what he does and he's too valuable to leave him out of the group.

Mark: Main Rapper, Lead Dancer

Mark is extraordinary. He's a fantastic rapper and a pretty great dancer. He's written most of his own rap (along with Taeyong) since debut. Has several solo songs as well. And seriously, one of the most hardworking members in NCT. You can always see him giving his 110% during his performances. He has a pretty good stage presence too. He too has one of the biggest fanbases, both domestically and internationally. As a english speaking member in the group, he can contribute greatly when it comes communicating with international fans. He's one of the most important members of NCT, so I'm definitely adding him to this group.

He'll be a main rapper along with Taeyong, becuz MarkYong as a duo is iconic. While Taeyong has a wide range when it comes to rapping, going from slow to deep raspy style, Mark balances him out with his fast paced and sharp rap style. It'll be a crime to not put them together in the same group.

Jaehyun: Main Vocalist, Lead Dancer, Main Visual

Jaehyun has a prince-like visuals, which is why he will be a main visual along with Taeyong in this group. He's a pretty good dancer and has honey like vocals. His baritone voice will bring balance to the group full of tenors. He's not a good rapper, hence I'll not be giving him the role of sub or lead rapperrapper, sry :( He has the biggest fanbase domestically and well liked internationally. He has a few writing credits here and there, with a few solo songs and a cover that went viral as well. I've to say, he'll be a welcome addition to the group.

Ten: Main Dancer, Lead Vocalist

He's the best dancer in NCT, like insane level good. He also has butter-like soothing voice. He's a great asset for English songs, because he has a good understanding of the accent and pronunciations. For smoother & cleaner dance breaks, he'll take the center position but for the hard hitting or rougher ones, Taeyong will lead the group for it. He can also choreograph, though I'm not sure if he has experience choreographing for other members like Taeyong but it still counts. His knowledge of multiple languages will help promote the group globally, along with Mark. He'll be a key member to the group in a lot of aspects.

Haechan: Main vocalist, Lead dancer

Haechan's voice is unique and adds a lot of depth to the songs. He has a good vocal control as well, doesn't strain. He's a very good dancer too and his stage presence is immaculate. I think he'll also do really well during variety show promos due to his extrovertness and personality, but becuz he's in a huge group, he didn't get to shine there yet. That can change in this group, with proper promo in proper places. Overall, I think he's perfect to finish this wonderful lineup.

So yeah, this is my selection for THE NCT group. Notice how there is no sub rapper, sub vocalist etc? I personally think that these 'sub' positions are redundant and people with these positions don't add anything to the group. This group I made has members who are very talented and skilled. They'll be able to pull off a lot of concepts and bring a lot of fans to the group, becoming really popular. This is an all rounded group, where every member brings a lot to the table and no member is riding any on other member's talent and hard work to get fame or attention. For me, this lineup is PERFECT!

Pre-Debut:

Kim Yeonseok is best known by his stage name Yeou (여우, which translates to ‘Fox’) and Kim Kyung-mi, who is best known as ‘Frankie’, which is short for Frankenstein. Both of them were already well-established artists under Shining Light Entertainment. Yeonseok was a soloist who debuted in 2008 as Yeou. He is not only known as SL’s all-rounder but was also well-known for being a fashion designer, songwriter, actor, and television presenter. His younger sister Kyung-mi debuted in 2015 in a group known as The Monster Chronicles, also under Shining Light Entertainment. The group was known for its ‘monsters’, where each member represented a famous monster with Kyung-mi being Frankenstein, which is where her later stage name Frankie comes from.

In 2020, The Monster’s Chronicle disbanded. Some of the members even left the company, however, SL Entertainment’s CEO didn’t want Kyung-mi to leave as they wanted to debut as a soloist. At this time, Yeou was working on a project he had worked on for a while but was stuck in a brain/writer’s block. In the meantime, Kyung-mi wasn’t sure if she should stay or quit altogether and continue as a graphic designer, something she always wanted to do before being hired by SL Entertainment almost 10 years prior. At some point, when she was spending quality time with her brother, they began talking about their future plans.

Whilst the two have an 8-year-gap, and were in various different states of life growing up, the two had lots of common interests. This ranged from their fashion to music tastes, so the two came up with the idea that they would make a unit and combine their ideas. They tell this to their CEO and she approved of it.

The two would then start to train again to rehabilitate their skills and in 2021 they finally debuted with their song Labyrinth

Layers of Understanding.

Lee Heeseung. Born on October 15, 2001, in Namyangju, South Korea, Heeseung is a gifted singer, dancer, and a standout member of the globally renowned boy group ENHYPEN under Belift Lab. Known for his vocal versatility, sharp dance moves, and magnetic stage presence, he serves as the group’s main vocalist and center, showcasing his talent and charisma in every performance.

Beyond his stage abilities, Heeseung has the remarkable gift of perfect pitch, as he demonstrated on Weekly Idol Ep. 491. His expressive eyes and strong vocal line are fan favorites, while his personal tastes reveal his love for the colors purple and ivory, and his favorite seasons are winter and spring.
