Au where Hiccup didn’t really teach anyone else how to train dragons and just becomes Berk’s dragon boy. They just learnt to accept Hiccup hanging out with a bunch of dragons (90% of the time he’s out flying or in the forest but they’ll wait around when he’s in the forge) and Stoick gets used to them being in his house.

There was a time where Stoick tried to put a limit to the number of dragons on the island (and in the house) and Hiccup would prepare multiple long speeches to him about why he needs another dragon.

Hiccup: Just one more I swear!

Stoick (with a Terrible Terror biting his ear): Fine. But only one more. A small one.

Hiccup: Thank you!

Hiccup: *Brings back the Screaming Death* :D

Headcanon: lost zoldyck sibling reader who for some reason was taken from kukuroo Mt at a young age returns and meets their sibling for the first time and is unsure how to react.

Omg this is a really good concept. I'll see what I can do lol, hope you enjoy! HCs take place before the HxH storyline begins, so Killua's still home, and Alluka's locked up. Since it took me a while, and this requests kinda fits for it, I chose to also add smaller sections Silva, Kikyo and Zeno to the mix! But I'll go with the siblings first.

🔯The Lost Zoldyck HCs🔯

📍Illumi📍

Of all your siblings, Illumi's the only one you have any memory of, even though they're faint and blurry, you remember his almond-shaped eyes, and his cheery yet monotone voice.

He was overwhelming to be around, not because he was annoying or anything, but because of his aura. He always wanted to keep an eye on you.

It wouldn't be rare for you to spot him looking at you from a distance, studying you and making sure you didn't get yourself into trouble, as you were much weaker than them, since you'd never been trained for their... odd assassination business.

Illumi didn't show much emotion at all, but he couldn't deny that he was incredibly relieved that you were home again, and he was even happier when you were unfazed upon learning that they did for a living. "Are you really not scared...? Despite growing up away from all of this? It must be your Zoldyck blood. I'm glad, this means we can all be happy."

The first few weeks around him were really weird, as whenever he had the time to talk to you, he'd always get such a fond expression on his face as he asked you questions of how your life had been up to that point. He wanted to learn everything.

You eventually came to find that endearing. He was a little weird, but genuinely seemed to care about you in his own way.

Even if you grew up away from the mountain, he's fully accepted you back as a member of the family, and he shows that by bringing you souvenirs from his missions, just like he does with everyone else.

🎮Milluki🎮

Milluki initially did not care about meeting you. What's that about a long lost sibling? Certainly not something he'd waste his time on.

He doesn't understand what all the fuss is about, it's not like you're super strong or anything, you're basically just a regular human compared to them, and you're taking away even the last smidge of attention reserved to him!

Milluki was born a couple years after you, so likewise, you have no idea who he is or what he enjoys. You just know that he seems to really dislike you and generally keep to himself, locked in his room.

Since you had a normal life, you're aware that such a behavior isn't healthy, but his refusal to build any kind of connection with you makes getting through to him really difficult.

That is until he finally decides to show up for a dinner with the rest of the family, looking slightly disheveled and wearing a Dragon Ball T-Shirt, which you easily recognize.

The moment you point it out, Milluki FINALLY speaks to you for the first time in weeks! "Y-yeah... it's an Android 18 shirt. Why? You... like anime or something?"

He's a little taken aback when you admit that yes, you do enjoy anime and the like. You can see him ease up a little, and dinner quickly transforms in him rambling to you about his favorites.

Nobody has the courage to stop him, and you keep actively listening, just glad you found a common interest with him. After that dinner, Milluki is much more open towards you. He hasn't fully accepted you, but considers you a pretty good company, at least you understand what he's talking about!

🪀Killua🪀

Out of everyone, Killua is the most curious about you. He didn't know he had a secret sibling, but that's such cool news!

Sure, you can't do all the tricks he can do, but the fact that you have a completely different view from the rest of the family is thrilling to him, which makes your lack of strength worth it.

Killua's excitement about your mere existence and the new atmosphere you brought to the manor is a little odd at first, but having normal interactions with someone is nice. He doesn't stalk you around, or act as if you didn't exist, he just hangs around you like a normal kid would.

You also earn extra points because your ability to go out of the manor whenever (albeit accompanied by a butler). Makes it so you can go to the store and get him his favorite snacks. You're the coolest for that.

You can tell that Killua is different from the others, he's actually interested in what's out there, away from the world of assassins. "Illumi always said making friends wasn't necessary... but you always seem happy talking about yours... so which is it? Do you think I could make friends? Even... if I'm supposed to be the heir?"

To you, it's quite obvious that Killua, being a pre-teen, is starting to wish for self-discovery, and despite having a feeling that most of his family doesn't want that for him, you can't help but encourage him to follow that wish.

You might be one of the reasons why he ran away later on, though he's kept it a secret, not wanting you to get in trouble just because you were supportive of him.

🧸Alluka🧸

You almost never met Alluka. The family wanted to keep her a secret from you. Understandably, they knew you'd probably disagree with them keeping a human being locked up like that.

One day however, while hanging out with Milluki, he accidentally turned on the monitor to her room, and you saw her. Milluki tried to convince you she was just another doll, but you're not a fool, you could see that was a little girl, being kept in a room with no windows.

Since now the secret was out, the family allowed you to speak to her, but warned you not to reveal your name to her, as it could be very dangerous.

They didn't explain her powers to you, just told you that she was extremely dangerous, but when you walked through the security door, she still looked and acted like a normal girl, though the aura around her was a little odd.

When Alluka first saw you, she believed you to be another butler, but when Silva clarified through the speakers that you were her lost sibling, the little girl seemed ecstatic. "Lost... sibling? That's so cool! Wait so- you come from outside? Woooow! Hey hey, can you teach me some games others play??"

The speed at which she accepts you is a little jarring, but maybe it's because you behave normally around her, you're right there in front of her, in the flesh, instead of talking to her through a speaker like everyone else in the family does.

Until the day in which Killua manages to free her, you take it upon yourself to descend to her room and play with her or just keep her company. The family's always watching you, of course, but it's still better than leaving her on her own.

���Kalluto🪭

At first, you didn't know what kind of boy Kalluto was. He almost seemed more of an accessory to Kikyo than an actual child. He was obedient to a fault, and never did anything outside of what his parents told him to do.

He saw the way Kikyo treated you, and he did the same, giving you a warm welcome in the family.

You wondered if he truly meant it though, because aside from being nice to you whenever his mother was in the room, he mostly just ignored you. He wasn't rude to you, but also didn't make an effort to get to know you more.

That is until he's the one seeking you out. He's seen you hanging out with Killua a lot, how even if you're older and leagues weaker, he seems to have fun with you. "Big brother Killua never wants to play with me like that... why are you so... popular with him? I don't understand..."

You can tell he's jealous, although, it wasn't your intention to make him feel excluded, so you do the only thing you can do, and reassure him that whenever you're spending time with Killua, you'll also make sure to include him.

He's taken aback, probably doesn't even believe you, but you keep to your promise, you make sure the two brothers get the chance to play together.

Killua is a bit awkward the first few times, but eventually, he warms up to Kalluto. He doesn't show it but... he's really happy about it. Maybe outsiders aren't so bad after all.

👒Kikyo👒

Meeting Kikyo was perhaps the most overwhelming, but at the same time cathartic experience. Just like with Illumi, you had very faint memories of her.

She was overjoyed to have finally found you again, she never stopped looking for you all these years, and shed a few... actually a lot of tears when she could finally hug you again.

Kikyo can be quite overbearing as you soon find out, which reminds you of Illumi, though in her case it's even more so, as she's trying to make up for all the time together you've lost.

Sometimes, she keeps you around her for hours, just to chat and teach you all sorts of weird assassination techniques, until Silva tells her to let you go for a while.

☄️Silva☄️

Silva was a lot more stoic than your mother when you first met him. He welcomed you back home, but you could feel he wasn't as excited about your return as Kikyo.

The reason was that, of course, you hadn't received proper training, so aside from the natural Zoldyck strength, you didn't have much else going on for you.

At the same time, he's perhaps the one who's looking out for you the most. He's very aware of the danger that comes with being a Zoldyck, even more-so an untrained Zoldyck.

He allows you freedom to go in and out of the manor, but you're always accompanied by his most trusted butlers.

You notice Silva expresses his care in indirect ways, but that doesn't mean he cares any less about you than the other members.

🐲Zeno🐲

Zeno, much like Silva, was a bit difficult to read at first. He's definitely a bit more mellow than his son, but he's still the big boss around there.

This old man is like an enigma, it's rather obvious he's not really interested in making you an assassin, considering you're past the point where you can develop all the skills the others have, he kind of ignores you.

At the same time, having led a fairly normal life compared to theirs, you've brought a certain vibe in the house that he hadn't felt in years.

He asks you to join him for tea sometimes, and basically interrogates you on your life, for seemingly no other purpose outside of gathering information.

He has a tendency to be a bit of a chatter box, going on tangents whenever you mention something he's familiar with. He's a weird old man, in an endearing sort of way.

OH MY GOD THIS IS A LONG FUCKING POST.. SORRY GUYSS LOL Ok but if im being serious here's how I think a how-to train your dragon/fairly odd parents au could come about. First of all it depends on how we change the storyline, if we go for the OG story with just a few tweaks, then I want Timmy to be hiccup and Peri to be toothless. Timmy already feels left out and excluded by his peers half the time, and I could see him trying to invent items and creations to help hunt Dragons in the first place. His dad being the head of the village and obvi being a dragon hunter. Dragons in this au though would be able to do magic as well, they would be able to understand humans a bit better (but are still essentially animals). My idea for how exactly the war starts. Kids used to run away frequently, rather its cause they feel shut out, neglected, abused, or cause they just hated where they were, they would run off deep deep into the forest, with a bag of food and water in their hand that can only last them a few days. After realizing what they've got themselves into, it would just be pure dread, they would run around screaming for help, but they were in a maze of trees and wilderness, basically making it impossible for a child to actually find where they can go home! Thats where the dragon part comes in! Dragons would hear their cries, and help children get back home. They would help them survive, give them food and water, and whenever a kid said "I wish" it just so happened to appere next to them! Dragons were able to understand humans quite well, and they formed a bond with a lot of these kids, but were quick to part once they helped the kids find their way home. Once home these children would share stores of their adventures, these dragons, and at first they would seem crazy, but too many kids were hashing out the same story, and it started to become a bit suspicious. One of these children was crcokers ancestors! uhh ill call him CA for short!! He ran off, cried, and got a dragon to help him with whatever he was going though and take hi home. He told his mom with so much excitement! Describing these pink and green dragons- with spikes shaped like stars, and glowing dust surrounding them- but his mom thought he was crazy! I mean dragons?? Who could believe it.

Until one day CA ran off again. She remembered his whole dragon spheel, and went looking. After days of hunting and searching, she found him with the dragon. She screamed, her first thought wasn't kindness, wasn't gratitude for this creature keeping her son safe, it was fear. She tried to attack it, and well um... its like a 15 foot dragon guys. It was kinda easy to kill her LOL. The sight was NOT pretty too, and CA saw all of it. He swore vengeance on these Dragons, refusing to let any Dragons near humans ever again. Soon enough word was able to spread, and more and more adults got scared, and worried. Stories of horrifying man eating creatures were spread, but kids were still running away.

A hunting party was gathered, after the 4th kid came crying to their dad being killed by a dragon, they had enough. The kid led the search party, and it was practically the whole village!! It was a battle- a long one, but they killed the first ever dragon. Dragons did not take this light heartly, I mean, they give food, shelter, to the kids they choose to neglect? And they try to kill their kind? They were PISSED.

Thus the war started, Years passed as Dragons slowly started to attack villages (especially as food was getting scarse and humans seemed to be taking it all.) As I said Timmys dad is head of the village, he takes care of the hunting parties and is the one with the highest kill count, he's friendlier in general but is even less trusting of Timmy then Stoic was to Hiccup. Timmy was such a bright kid, with amazing ideas! He wants to become just like his dad, even though his dad barely even pays attention to him. He wants to impress him- the entire village- but every time he tries, he just ruins everything over and over again. He has a deal with the local huntress Vicky, to teach him how to make weapons, but let's just say she doesn't care for teaching him, rather instead using him as a personal test dummy to how good these weapons are. Ok that's like the base idea ill post something else about how Peri, cosmo, and wanda are in and YES I'm changing the story a bit, its not going to be the exact same character arcs, but it will have the same plot/ending heart :3 ill be making a post later focusing on Timmy

his "goldfish" design is inspired by bloody bunny (semi spoilers, when the sister turns into a monster form), the spaceship from a pilot film called starship goldfish (hence the name pff, i'll wait till the day i die for this series), and a scene in kaiba (2008) where the main character turned into a giant white hippo plushie lol

then umasou (you are umasou), the lost (binding of isaac), and eventually i settled with her being a "pontianak" which is the malay/indonesian name for that popular horror of a woman wearing a long white dress with long hair

i remember he's vaguely supposed to be a living corpse named "pocong" in my language but that idea was scrapped and the body is separated to belong to another dead kid. might get back to that idea one day

his personality is mostly based on a general nihilistic optimist mindset, i have her act a bit more similar to polaroid which got ui bond with her easier. and also why polaroid most likely doesn't like how much she reminds him of himself haha (but if they take the time to bond, he'll like her. in aus only 👹)

benoît is full on just the 1337 agent with a bit of the boy from inside (playdead). he's more based on general tropes of being the villain's goon but put more personality (and not actually being assigned the job XDDDDDDDDD) so he has a lot more original ideas to play with

unrelated but my name mama boy (or motherly boy) came from the fact that i called the boy from inside that purely because of that one moment he met some baby chickens XD a boy who is motherly. for like 1 minute before lauching them to push a box off the ceiling 🤷‍♀️

the hivemind idea from madcom version originated from inside too

initially i wanted him to be an unseen announcer/narrator like from stanley parable who's less demanding. this was before he got his own design, i could do more with that idea maybe

lauren used to be an entirely cartoon turtle and one of the oldest characters made. im a turtle person so obviously i drew turtle characters with those generic mary sue designs lol

eventually he turned more and more into an angel and i thought why not just make him biblically accurate and turned him into a turtle fetus 💐

meow too started out that way, originally named talo (she still has many names like porlivium but talo is scrapped) and was more leaning on the trope where turtles always had cities on their backs as they move

main inspiration design is that rock from kangaroo island, the other parts of the design is just my own ideas. i liked shadow of the colossus a lot so she was inspired from that world

her main idea is the calling countries a she or he. this was soon inspired to be what all respawns are, being objects with genders even though it doesn't really make sense lol. singapore is called she a lot in her birthday/national day 💃

grub is a take on the trope of the grumpy neighbour next door. except he's shamelessly annoying for no reason, everywhere and you can't escape him. just like mosquitoes XD

bee too is a take on the trope of a goody two shoes that's too much of an optimist. since he's a bee, i made him short tempered and full of ptsd

dr tea was inspired by karl too, but later toned down to just becoming a normal bartender. with a twist of him venting to the drunk people instead of people venting to him BHAHA

syiara (sugar) is a big work in progress, but her uniform design is based on a cockroach lol

coyote is kinda obvious in being inspired by the ending of inside (ifyouknowyouknow)

clyde is jake but design-wise is directly the ship from the season (spoilers) where finn finds the other humans

kiki is literally baby from civil war (with shrike) lmao. sad hes gone though, unless he's hidden in monkey wrench and will be introduced later

carl is.... karl XD 😭 though his idea was from a space dandy episode, if i remember there was an alien species that turns into another character and pretends to be them (the name meow is also taken here but her personality isnt based on the character)

the world overall is mainly inspired by kaiba (2008), here and there inspired by nevada (madcom), a bunch of studio ghibli movies lol, A PLETHORA of animation student films (notably gobelins, animation workshop, etc) with some usual (+ experimental) animation films independent from schools, and lots of real life places

Hello, this is my take on the FANTASY AU of BNHA. (que talvez eu desenhe) However: it's Kamisero and I'm high. (weed)

And this is inspired by House of the Dragon, Game of Thrones, Narnia, among a thousand other fantasy movies I watched as a child and teenager lol.

Well, establishing positions within the AU:

Kaminari is a prince who often runs away to play in bars because he loves music. Well, I wanted to include dragons, so Kaminari, Monoma, Bakugou, Toga, Ojiro, Aoyama, Mirio... They are all siblings and children of All Might, who is the king. Mic is Denki's teacher who secretly teaches him music. (All might know, he just doesn't want them to be disturbed.)

E Sero is a kind of wizard/sorcerer who was born from a crime that involves humans being with witches... And it's not out of weakness, for wizards with humanity are among the most powerful beings. Let's say that I made him Aizawa's son.

Sero is my protagonist (and my favorite character and literally me) and Kaminari too, but it’s Sero who starts the story (maybe I’ll post a fic if anyone is interested!!)

Well, let's start from the beginning.

Sero's mother is just a farmer who ended up having an affair with a wizard, and she tried everything to protect her son, even starting to learn natural magic (which had long been forgotten), precisely to be able to cut Sero's magic from the sensors of other wizards.

But the natural magic of a simple human apprentice could only help until Sero was 2 years old. Where he was discovered and literally torn from his mother's arms to go to what they call the land of wizards. (vai ter outro nome provavelmente)

And that's where the strict and insensitive training begins that they have to form strong witches...

And you see, those who control this place are not the wizards; the wizards are nothing more than mere servants, they are almost like slaves... And those who lead them are religious figures who have distorted the word of their god and made pacts to become powerful.

Do you remember the chase that happened in The Hunchback of Notre Dame with the gypsies? Imagine this, but with my wizards; it's easier.

They are like pets for the most powerful. Although wizards can do practically anything, they know that if a revolt starts, millions of innocents will see the world burn.

In the end, they are treated as if they were some kind of magical little puppy that will serve your wishes and protect you. It's something very old, so it's hard for them to see a problem with it.

Sero is one of the best young wizards in there, along with Uraraka and Deku. He basically only loses points for being too empathetic at times; that's one of the few negative marks he has. They say he is "too gentle." Aizawa tries to shove something into his head, but that nature cannot be changed.

Well, the context of the story is that Sero will be called to be one of the wizards in the castle, as there is a little prince who needs to learn manners (Kami is the youngest; they are all older, but he is the one who was born last). Well, this starts a dynamic of servant and master (kindly), and soon it shifts to "am I your friend?" "Of course it is!"

And soon it goes to best friends... And it doesn't take long for the attraction to begin, starting with Denki, and well, Sero feels it too, but the sensation is very different for both of them.

For Denki, it's a big: I love you and I don't care about what you are, I love you for your soul. Like a great lover who is ready to embark on an escape.

And for Sero, it's a big: What is this? I can't feel this! It's against the law, my position is much lower than his... My mother, I can't put her at risk, and I can't put that boy at risk either; they will kill one of us or worse... For him, that cannot happen no matter how much it is one of his greatest desires right now. As much as there is a chance for him to have a life, the risk is very high.

Well, it's clear that at some point all of this is thrown into the air, they end up swapping relationships (whatever they may be), and they get found out... And well, so that no one would be killed, Sero only had one choice.

Some time ago, the wizards have been trying to control a demon, a being so dangerous that it would only remain trapped inside a host that truly possessed powerful magic.

It wasn't a pretty process; it could perhaps be described as cutting an animal that hasn't been slaughtered yet... Well, things have somewhat stabilized after a long recovery. He was even allowed to return to the palace, but it was obvious that things were strange.

A lot went wrong, and I'm still developing a lot of things...

And this demon that was trapped in Sero's body... Let's say he isn't a villain... I think the best example to use is Venom.

Of course, amidst this little love story, countless things are happening... Well, there is a discussion between the realms of All Might and Endeavor, and there is a good chance that a battle or war will occur while the romance is also unfolding. As I said, I am still developing...

And well, the demon in a way feels pity for Sero; he was going to take advantage of him, but after trying to manipulate him and Sero ultimately just asking him to please leave him alone, saying that if he wanted something, he should just take it already, because none of it mattered anymore, he was just an empty shell now.

And in a way, there were some similarities between that demon and Sero... (The demon is Kurogiri...) That is to say... Oboro.) There are some conversations, but nothing is very clear; Kurogiri helps Sero with a few things, and well, Sero starts to see some hope.

However, a surprise attack ends up putting everyone in danger... And it wasn't even Endeavor; it was Touya (Dabi) acting behind his back with the intention of betraying him and complicating a peace agreement.

Touya is still not very strong, so it's clear that he captures the younger prince who doesn't have much sense to act quickly.

And the biggest confusion happens, among everyone, but especially between Sero and the other wizards. Things are starting to get worse and everything really reaches a breaking point when something very important is revealed.

The most powerful wizards and their leaders were alongside Touya and his treacherous army, in other words, everything was being commanded by All for One, who was just waiting for the right moment to act.

And that was the last straw; I think you've heard the phrase "So this is the fury of a gentle man," because that's what happens. The scars from the ritual on Sero's back open up when he screams, and in that moment, a blackish-purple smoke envelops him... It is a being made of shadows, in a draconic form (I forgot to mention, but witches have no resistance to fire... now witches with humanity.) And everything that can be seen from afar is a portal deactivating, everything reduced to flames; the vulnerable students and wizards were not there, although some innocents burned alongside.

And in this chaos, the demand for the prince's location to be revealed occurs, and even after revealing it, that person was still burned.

Roars could be heard and a loud noise of wings flapping across a vast territory; it was as if the personification of a nightmare was being witnessed through the eyes of all.

Anger is a beast, and beasts outside of cages are hardly controllable. And in that way, it was as if savagery had taken over... There was a lot of confusion and bloodshed, and everything only calmed down when Denki finally caught his attention.

It's obvious that he went all in to bite, but as soon as he arrived, like a horse, he just lowered his head and offered his muzzle. Kaminari simply held on and said, "It's all right, you did what you had to do, it's over." And it was as if they were words spoken by an angel, that smoke began to dissipate, leaving only a boy crying, holding onto the prince while saying that he wanted his mother.

Denki just welcomed her and said he would find her.

And it is at this moment that things begin to take on a certain color... I admit that happy endings can sometimes be nice. It was as if a lost magic began to return after the fall of what made it fade away.

it pisses me off when people say is A is the fantastical girl and Tifa is the normal/ordinary one, in that A supposedly represent the fantasy aspect of the game like fuck off lmao

first of all, aside from her limit breaks, all the magic she uses comes from materia which every character from cloud to tifa to even nanaki can use to do magic so the most she is is a white mage. the only thing that set cetra apart from the humans that descended from them is their supposed connection to the planet in that they sometimes know when people die lol good job you're so special, here's your medal. (they exaggerated the shit out of cetras and what A can do as a half in the remakes, it's all so bullshit i want to disregard it as official fanfiction) this makes A nothing but creepy in my eyes.

there are many playable characters in the game that are fantastical in concept (vincent, nanaki, reeve/cait sith) but if any one of them were to be chosen to supposedly "represent" the fantasy aspect it would be nanaki who ACTUALLY belongs to a fantasy race 🙄

second of all. have you ever seen any real human do what tifa can with her martial arts prowess even though she didn't even get any mako enhancement or something. can normal people easily lift things as hard as real life equivalents of dragons? I have to have a laugh. can any of us fight as lethally as her?

and to support this fantasy girl claim some say A has an ""otherworldly beauty"" to her in comparison to Tifa and Yuffie who are in their opinion "ordinary". is this not the most racist shit you've heard about game characters? yuffie is explicitly designed to look and feel east asian and although there's no "confirmation" for it Tifa's character design (and many aspects of her personality) is the ideal Japanese beauty. Beautiful long black hair, clear pale skin, beautiful eyes and a well proportioned body. they even gave her two EA cultures inspired alternative costumes in remake. when people say that we are supposed to be "in awe of" A's light colored hair and eyes and her feminine coquettish way of dressing I see this as nothing but racism and misogyny. from the way they look to the way they dress and to their skill in battle both tifa and yuffie are amazing and beautiful and there's nothing "ordinary" about them

I do like A's hair and outift design, nomura is a good character designer I have to give it to him, but if you take those things out A herself is not even as pretty as some of the npcs in remake let alone yuffie and tifa lmaooo 😒 the ugliest face and let-down-hair model in game if you ask me

another thing I've seen people use to support this idea is their theme songs. they say A's theme song is the more fantastical sounding one and to that I'll just say go and read what uematsu said about how he wrote the song for a scene in which A waits for Zack's return in the train station. L. M. A. O.

Literally nothing about her is magical girl aside from wearing pink and her limit breaks. People really think all those spells she does in Remake, (basic fire and thunder aoe) are something she does without materia. They're not.

Nobody can use magic without materia. Her only spells are the limit breaks and we haven't seen her use them at all outside of player control. Everybody else was seen using their limit breaks in the final battle of rebirth as a group attack. She never does.

That's why I always say she gets credit for doing fuck all.

Idky people keep calling her gorgeous. Maybe they haven't looked closely at her model. She has a massive forehead, big ears, a large jaw, big chin, huge hands and feet. She's like if you took a mop and gave it limbs.

Also, he literally recycled a monster as her base.

What's funny about her model is they can't give her any other hairstyle because she's so generic anime looking that she isn't recognisable as herself if you change it.

Meanwhile Tifa gets every hairstyle going and you still know it's Tifa because Tifa's model is based on an actual person and that means she has proper facial structure so changing hairstyles doesn't lose her basic appearance.

have you seen the doug eiffel dnd script? i love to show people the doug eiffel dnd script. it was written a couple of years ago as part of the fundraising for unseen, and is obviously non-canon, however. it's non-canon in the sense that this group of people in these circumstances would never play dnd. i think the anecdotes + attitudes expressed by eiffel are perfectly on brand and they are canon to me. so... how he feels about dnd, and at least one answer to 'what class would he play' is in there. it's very funny to me that he's a minmaxer, and that his character is trained in "bazooka karate" like... sigh... yeah. of course. i don't think his tastes have changed that much since he was a teenager. (he would be a bard though, obviously, if that was the question.) i also think eiffel would be just insufferable to play dnd with because, like. if he's a player, he's going to be mad that he can't tell the story he wants to. if he's the DM, he's going to do zero planning and go on wild tangents having conversations between NPCs and forget he's not just supposed to be telling a story to himself. lost in his own world.

actually given the choice, i think he's perfectly happy to be human (and wouldn't trust an offer like that anyway) ... as an icebreaker question, though? he immediately gives a basic, 'cool' answer like werewolf, and then his brain catches up to his mouth and he goes wait, hold on, can i take that back? because all of the potential downsides just occurred to him, and he starts jumping around with his answer and getting more and more specific until it derails the whole conversation and he's just asking, like, if there would be a catch and what powers he's allowed to have, etc. and whoever asked is like, um... whatever you want, i guess? She is so cool. My little self insert. My baby. Epic powerful magic.

Ash was part of a secret subspecies of humans (Homo sapiens dimutus) which could shapeshift, which she used to grow huge black wings or turn into a black leopard or look like a monster to scare enemies, anything as long as her brain stayed the same size or got denser to fit smaller. When she shapeshifted she would release green and blue fire from the power of the transformation (cause she has lots of copper in her blood that burns green. To protect against cancer, you see. Shapeshifting has lots of cancer risk so copper is sooo important)

She became one by genetic engineering at 15 so the dimutus could get more soldiers and spies for a war with the demon-like psyuedos (child soldier lol). She could come back to life because she had a failsafe that would activate where she would shapeshift away the wound and her brain would jolt back online. The only way to kill a dimutus was to kill the brain.

Like other dimutus, she could also dimension hop, so she'd travel the multiverse, from tv show to tv show or to the universe with dragons or with cool landscapes. She was good with a sword and something called a bladed quarterstaff, which is basically one of those two sided lightsabers but a blade. She was mentored by one of the most powerful dimutus of the war and is super powerful too compared to other dimutus.

Ash is my girl, my baby.

She has TWO dragons. The first one is Flicker, who is strong and agile with black scales and a violet belly. Ash rides on her back and she speaks dragon at her. Her other dragon is Zephyr, who she raised from an egg and he looks like a blue sky with white patches like clouds, and random little flecks of gold scales. He's lithe and fast and so agile. She can summon them from their alternate universes by calling out "Tul Lüg" for Flicker and "Zep-iagh" for Zephyr, and they leap from portals to fight.

She can speak so many languages. The language of Dimutus is actually Modernized Latin. She knows English, Spanish, French, Latin, Italian, ASL, and has the best translators.

She made friends with a shadowy wolf companion called a Shadowlupe who accepted her as part of the pack. She runs with him in hunts as a wolf.

She can do a double backflip. Enough said.

She would fly with huge black wings, it was her favorite thing to do. Knew how to do all the tricks. She is dimension hopping miles in the air just to fall for ages, then fly at breakneck speeds. And she was terrifying in battle, she would dodge and weave and slash as she passed, an airborne killing machine.

She could give herself big springy legs to jump so high and do crazy tricks. She adapted herself to move fast, bounce and parkour her way at insane speeds. She could traverse so well.

She also did normal parkour. It was a fun challenge to try with minimal modifications. Pretended a lot of parkour POV vids were her.

She had two cats trained to infiltrate bases cause they are kitties and can fit through the vents and no one suspects the kitties. Baya was a Bengal and Shadow was a beautiful medium hair black cat.

She could also dimension hop in a way that was like astral projecting. She'd just be floatin, near invisible. She'd keep her wings in that state to pull them from the dimension fast to use them quickly. Her friends would chill there and comment to her while she was doing boring things.

She had a ragtag best friend and copilot partner Katie that was the mostest important person to her. Her brother in arms, her guy in the chair, her support, and Ash was the same to Katie. They were ride or die, and they died a lot for each other. (I basically made a QPP a decade before I myself ended up in one. Probably an early sign I was aro.)

She lost her arm sometimes, and she'd have a badass prosthetic if she couldn't shapeshift it back right away.

So much trauma from being a child soldier will come later. Her future character with me a decade later is somethin.

(I love love love everything we got to see of them onscreen; the “remember what I always tell you” “there’s no ethical consumption under capitalism?” exchange in particular was so delightful, probably my favorite little moment of the fic so far)

ohhhh i love this one.

basically the idea came in the beginning to have pietro be part of the pit crew bc of his powers. then i was debating doing that bc i wanted him to be erik's kid, and we (me and percy who helps me with all my fics) were messing around with the idea of him being a little kid running around the garage or something, then it kind of all came together when i think he suggested we make him old enough to be on the crew *and* erik's son. so that's where erik being a teen dad came from! and once we landed on that idea, even though i knew it was going to be hard to slot into the story, i really super loved it. and we figured out a way around some of the logistical issues with erik not knowing he had a kid till he was 20, when he was probably already in f1, and us making erik a little older so it wasn't super outrageous.

they have an incredible relationship, there's actually a lot of lore that's not in the fic (yet, at least?). he found out about P when he was 20 and magda moved to england and got his number. he went over with his mom & she waited outside when he went in -- P was soo shy & didn't want to come out to meet him at first. he was so tiny and had erik's eyes and it was just surreal for him. he eventually got to say a little hello and go see some of pietro's trains and things and get to see his kid being a real four year old human and when he went back out to the car he just sobbed. he'll always be heartbroken that he never held him as a baby, tbh. he doesn't blame magda but he just wishes he could've gotten every minute with him possible. he takes being a dad more seriously than anything else and just loves his kid so much.

i guess it also hasn't come up that he stopped racing for a few years from when he was 20-22 because he wanted to parent full time, which is what led to him not winning his first championship until he was 25.

also, this bit you mentioned is a favorite of mine too, erik as a socialist who is also knowingly being a hypocrite because he's a multi-millionaire is funny to me lol. but yeah, these two are a great duo, erik does a good job!! there will be some bumps in the road bc he's parenting a 16 year old, but y'know. <3 thank you for loving them!

He thinks of the first time he had to discipline Pietro, when he was little. He’d taken to Erik immediately, once he’d come out of his shell a bit, but Erik was a visitor, a friend who his mother had gently told him was his dad. They could play dragons together, visit the park, have a snack, and then he went back to his mom, who did heavy lifting.

The first time he’d taken Pietro overnight and needed to put his foot down, be just a bit firm (the first of thousands “no ice cream for dinner” arguments), Pietro had been completely distraught. He sobbed for what felt like hours, like Erik had broken his four-year-old heart.

He’d ended up burrowed into Erik’s neck, whimpering softly, while Erik whispered nonsense to him. It was the first time it dawned on him that if he just really fucking loved the kid, that could be enough.

I did an introduction post here with his old design and a new design and some alters here but I can go over it again ehehe

Basically:

Arvid Carin is best mates with Jaro Tapal and the partner of Dex Jettster. He's also an Artisan Jedi Master as the current head of the Woodworking Department of the Division and has trained one padawan, the current Second Hand of the Department— Turu.

He's from another one of my fan-made races, a dragon species that has branching roots in the Fae and Spirits. While there are a few of them across the Galaxy, but he's specifically an Inferno Drakon hailing from the volcanic planet Surlogi.

Like all Inferno Drakon who have chosen to assume a more humanoid appearance and leave Surlogi, Arvid has a number of forms that he can assume.

His true form is a massive, wingless dragon with the full length being about half as long as the temple is wide.

His main form is about 6'9" standing upright without his horns, though he slouches a lot. This is what most people see him as, and while his legs are still humanoid, his feet are definitely still that same clawed dragon look.

His combat form is a bit more draconic, his legs change to be more dragon-like and his hands become more clawed with more scales appearing under and through his skin. he's about 7'10 at that height when fully upright

His "compact" form or resting form is either after a fight or when conditions are met that require him to condense into an almost fully human form just to keep from exploding outwards into his true form. He's about 5'10 - 6' tall in that form but is much hotter to the touch than the other two humanoid forms. Almost scalding.

Save for the last one, Arvid retains his horns and tail in his human forms and has a very high body temperature

Personality wise he's known as a quiet, tired, and reserved individual to pretty much everyone and while true, he is also incredibly kind and compassionate.

His tiredness stems from his inability to find a good way to sleep with horns and a tail along with having just a general insomnia. He spends his waking hours working and often avoids people if possible while he does so he doesn’t lose focus. He enjoys listening to people talk though, so if he’s sought out while working for conversation it’s very one sided but he’s paying attention

While he enjoys children and doesn't mind them clinging to him for warmth, he states he'd be a very bad Master now days, to which Turu assures him that he was a fine Master when They were learning under him. Arvid also states he'd be a bad parent, though it is noted that he makes a decent father figure to Dex's adoptive daughter Onyx.

ofc despite all of this, Arvid is still a dragon and he does have a rather dangerous temper when it gets to that point. Basically:

Arvid Cairn was slow to anger, just like the magma flows his kind were borne from. Slow to anger, yet extremely dangerous when he did.

A forgotten fact to some.

The cracking of bones under his grip was something that wasn’t quite foreign to him— but it had been a long time. Been a long time since he had felt this angry.

im still drafting everything out but i can give quick intro stuff for the guys i have some old art for (i technically began drafting this story in like 2019 but then The Jojoing occurred so i literally havent thought of them at all in the past 3 years until the past couple of months i've been able to devote Some brain power to them (just some))

we got the main character ai (wipe name but i might keep it as it is actually everyday i warm up to it more):

she's blind as u can see in her right eye. this happened when she was young though so despite this she is a veyr skilled swordswoman. in the same raid that blinded her, she and her mother lost sight of her brother, qiu (wip name). ai wanted to look for him but her mother, after already losing ai and qiu's father in the same incident, just grabbed her daughter and ran. ai never really forgives her for this and she's very bitter and upset about everything. when she grows up she joins the military so that she has a means by which to travel -- she doesnt really care about fighting or national identity, she just wants to find her brother, and she gets paid to do it this way, so....

ai is. a bit of a dick. she has a short temper and a big attitude and it's hard for her to get close to ppl (not that she like actively tries to avoid it but she just is hard to get along with LOL). she's jsut very narrowminded on finding her brother. despite this she doesnt want anyone hurt esp not kids so she does protect in comrades which is probs the only reason she hasn't been kicked out of the army for insubordination LOL

this is qiu. what happened to him during the raid is he lost his leg essentially but a dragon nearby heard the commotion going on and when she came to check it out, saw qiu being cornered by a solider and so she killed the soldier, cauterized his leg wound, and carried him to her cave to care for (dragons are sentient in this universe btw). qiu was very young at the time (like 7) and now newly traumatized and the dragons dont like humans as a general rule anyway so allll that combined made him honestly very nervous to return to human society so he asked if he could just stay with her and she was like aw. yeah sure. so he's basically just learning magic with his dragon sibs (mama dragon had some hatchlings) and chilling. lol. he's a bit blunt cause he doesnt know shit about social norms at all. he's a good student. he's very friendly. he's not really naive he just vibes is all. very relaxed

this is adalia, ai's unofficial protege. she's technically not in the army yet but she is training to be a soldier and she looks up to ai a lot. she's very young and very silly. she has a big fat crush on the princess. she kills a man at a pivotal point in the story

this is arha! she is a solider as well but there's a twist that im not revealing yet to it. she's very smart and gets a lot of her kicks by being contrarian and basically she's kakyoin. LOL. she hasnt really made friends with people until ai/adalia/william and it's smth she's still learning abt how to handle (maintaining a relationship that is). she and ai meet and fall into a homosexual in nature dynamic and arha is both veyr frustrated cause ai is so impulsive and very enamored cause ai cares so deeply and just god she has never seen someone wear their heart on their sleeve and yet be so angry about it. she wants to study ai on a lab table

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST....I DONT HAVE ART OF HIM...WAHH...but william is basically ai's commanding officer. he is the oldest but also the most naive of the group funnily enough. he's competent enough to be a decent rank in the military but too kind to be high ranking. he's not really a father figure but he does come to be family to ai. smiles

OKAY OKAY There is SO much to say about Ash where do I even start bro. She's been plaguing my brain for a fucking year now she won't leave. She's a skywing from WoF but we made wings of fire dope as shit and cured the series of its straight white woman author disease. She's essentially a spartan warrior version of a dragon and she's so silly.

She's also the daughter of two rich dragons, her moms a decorated war hero, and her dads just a rich prick. Her moms a vile dragon who doesn't care about her children outside of them ending up like her, as in also being decorated and valued members of skywing society. The only attention she gives them is putting them through the whole spartan 9 yards. Much like spartans, she started training around the age she learned to fly, which is 7 years old in dragon years. She was 2 in actual years, but maturity-wise she was 7.

Most skywings are required to go into some form of military training, at least for a few years. Its legally required for them to be in boot camp for 2 years, afterward they can choose to join the military or just do what they wanna do. Most of them join the military bc skywings heavily value their soldiers though. Still, the 2 year boot camp they go through teaches them basic reading, writing, math, and all that fun stuff. Ash didn't go through that however. Due to her mother's rank, Ash was allowed to be home indoctrinated lol.

Which in turn meant she was never taught to write, read, or do math. She can read maps and basic words, and do basic math, but she can't write at all and struggles with reading. All of her time was focused on military. She spent the first 5 years of her life doing grueling exercises, including being starved, whipped, threatened with a snake that could kill her with one bite, verbally abused, and generally just neglected unless she was training. Poor girl went through hell. Ash DOES have siblings tho, in the form of Singe, her older sister, who went through much of the same torment, and her two younger twin sisters, Soot and Smog.

Soot and Smog were left pretty much alone by their mother. Their mother was a very materialistic dragon, she only saw others for their use, she saw Singe and Ash as her future killing machines, and Soot and Smog as nothing more than tokens she could marry off once they were of age to richer families in different tribes to further expand her families influence. Soot and Smog were spoiled and pampered since they had nothing else to do, their father was very uninvolved and tbh a lil bit scared of his wife, while their mother put her focus on Singe and Ash. The twins are incredibly spoiled and like to mock their older sisters.

She did intend to marry Singe and Ash both off as well, she was planning on trying to marry Ash into the royal family, and Singe to whatever dragon she thought would increase their family's riches and power.

Around the age of 19 in human years, conflict began breaking out in pyrrhia thanks to the rainwing queen getting bitter. Their mother (Candle btw) saw this as a lovely opportunity to shove her two oldest daughters into the horrors of war. Singe and Ash are both incredibly competent soldiers due to their upbringing and get praised heavily. It catches the eye of Sunstone, the queen's right-hand man and the top general of the entire army. Essentially, Sunstone has the strongest army in pyrrhia at his command. He's impressed by them, so puts Ash under the mentorship of another very high-ranking general named Aelous, and mentors Singe himself.

Aelous is rough around the edges but treats Ash better than her mother did. Sunstone is a very carefree dragon, so he and Singe end up being besties. These are the first real connections Ash makes outside of her older sister. Sunstones not all he's cracked up to be however, he's a jealous, bitter, and downright delusional monster who doesn't care at all for any dragons life but his own. He thinks that all the queens are doing shitty queen jobs, so is planning to overthrow them all and put rulers he finds more adequate on the throne. To do this, he's working with the previously mentioned bitter rainwing queen who he plans to double cross.

Sunstone sabotages his own army and sends soldiers to their dooms, secretly helping the rainwing queen take out the biggest threat to her from the inside out. Enough about him though.

Ash, after just returning from a scout mission, goes looking for her older sister in the skywing barracks. Lots of stuff happens, but for now, all yall need to know is Sunstone killed Singe. This shook Ash and completely uprooted her entire world. I don't want to go tooo into detail with it, but like I mentioned before, Ash was severely neglected outside of her soldier training. She was never taught how to deal with her emotions and is prone to outbursts of rage, sadness, and even joy. She doesn't know how to express herself, so goes through a very rough grieving process.

Won't spoil any more, but she meets some dragons from another tribe who help her with her grief and in finding herself, and in the end, she's the one who takes down Sunstone and stops the war, commits some war crimes, goes to prison and almost dies at one point, accidentally kills her mother and helps her little sisters not be little shits, as well as cuts off her father, falls in love, and gets over (most) of her trauma

okay, I have a bag of skittles beside me and finally calmed down enough to try this again, so let’s go~

yk from the start i did wonder why you decided to write san so calm and stoic. it didnt seem very reminiscent of the san he's supposed to be based off of, but i was curious to see where you went with it - especially since you said early on that he was your favourite character at the time. n now i get it. i figured he'd have some sort of tragic past but they all do, but now im realising he just... still is so soft hearted, sweet, and sensitive, but he just had to bury all that behind a stoic exterior to keep himself safe. 

honestly, when I first started writing natgig, from the first chapter I knew writing san the way I had was going to be a choice™️, because san is just so… well, san LMAO. but as you said, beneath it all he still is that sweet sensitive guy, he’s just learned that vulnerability, naivety, and sensitivity are also what get you killed or exploited. I think that’s why woo putting that wall up hurts him so badly, or why he’s been drawn to mc especially since her own came tumbling down. he has walls a plenty, so what he wants more than literally anything (as we saw in chapter 5) is that unconditional intimacy and trust in a world where it can nor shouldn’t be given so easily. 

(also, may I say I have no clue who my fav is anymore. maybe woo and san are tied, but then a seonghwa centered chapter will come around and I’ll change my mind again. i can’t pick. they’re all my children.)

 you've gotten really good at writing action scenes over the course of this series. 

it’s really nice to hear this, because I was very worried I went overboard this chapter considering this is all I had outlined in my notes for the entire drasilisk fight:

the entire time I was writing it I was just like corynn this is getting out of hand… people aren’t going to want to read this much action… stop…

but unpopular opinion (?), I absolutely love writing action scenes, and I liked how this one turned out. I think they’re so fun, so I’m glad they’re coming off as thrilling as I want them to be.

i wonder if that thing even Is killable. like if its fireproof and cant be pierced by swords what Can kill it. definitely would be able to take on a human army w no problem by the looks of it. im getting way carried away with the hypotheticals can you tell i was a how to train your dragon kid?

okay honestly, I’m just coming up with this right now LMAO but I think you’d either have to be swallowed whole (without getting pierced by any venom or burned to death) and impale it from the inside. or rip off some of the protective scales near it’s head and then cut it off. So, basically impossible lol. Bottom line, they weren’t killing that thing, no chance.

ok at this point i fully thought san and hwa jumped off the edge w a plan in mind like they saw the water at the bottom or sumn and thats why woo pulled mc after them but youre telling me NONE OF THEM KNEW. THEY JUST FLUNG THEMSELVES OFF THE EDGE AND FOR WHY.

LMAOOOOO. Im sorry this has me ROLLING. OKAY so like, hwa and san jumped off the cliff because they were running straight and there was literally nowhere else to go. they knew it was basically fall to your death (quick death, in their control, and together) or get burned alive/ripped to pieces by the drasilisk. Obviously, the first choice is better, so when they shared a nod of understanding that is kinda what they were agreeing on.

Woo though… yeah no there was no plan there LMAO. he saw them go over the edge and immediately had a trauma-response flashback to yeonjun and thought “save them”. That was it. realistically, if he didn’t jump off he and mc would have been brutally killed by the drasilisk anyway, which is why he instinctively took her with him. but yeah, if there wasn’t any water, maybe he could have tried something with redirecting the wind (and that’s an unlikely maybe of it working)… but yeah. At the end of the day it was a pretty stupid thing to do and they were incredibly lucky, and san makes a point of that lolol

Image 3 is technically not canon (because no one is an elemental master, closest being Nya who is more of just a magic user turn ocean, so Jay doesn’t have lightening powers) but I wanted to do @help-im-a-nerd ‘s ideas because yess!

Image 5 so salt, crosses, herbal incense works on Lloyd (demon) and Cole (ghost). That or Lloyd is just a drama queen

Image 7 basically Jay and dragon!lloyd are both reptiles so they shed their skin. And because they’re annoying like that, they just leave them there. Kinda gross. Kai deserves a break

Image 8 is just Lloyd and all his forms. I’m gonna list them and how easy they are to do now lol!

He’s got his human form (which he keeps up for appearances, it’s easy for him to do but it’s not how he naturally is)

His dragonish human form (which is slightly more comfortable than his human form)

His full dragon form (is his natural form and the easiest for to him to be)

His Oni form (he’s have to put effort to shift into, unless he gets upset which in which case he gets stuck into and finds it hard to transform back)

Robot/ghost/serpentine/large body of magic power (all take a lot of effort and training to shift to. He can shapeshift into them become of his Oni shapeshifting abilities)

Other people’s appearances (again from his Oni power, he can do it well for like 30 seconds)

Also when fangpires bite people they’ll start to look alike a snake from one of the tribes. Jay and his parents look a little more venomarie, whereas Lloyd would look like a anacondrai. The reason is probably because of how human genes parallel the serpentine idk.

very curious to see how you'd approach fixing the bard's college questline!

heres just off the top of my head. im thinking it has a somewhat comedic (but not outright 100% silly) tone and be really focused on the role of story and song as a chronicle of history. 

the dragonborn joins the college, only to find theyre mostly there to be hired muscle and to help train a more promising bard apprentice by being a muse for their songs- you do the college’s busywork, and they try to write inspiring music about it. 

the apprentice bard is deeply enamored with skyrim’s bardic history and the roles of bards in battle and politics. and they dont like you very much and make scathing passive aggressive songs about you, just bc that would be funny. depending on your choices  they might eventually grow more friendly with you but should never give you the hero treatment. 

the fetch quests for instruments can still be there, but the intent is to play up the humor of the situation (youre hired muscle and this bard who thinks you suck is writing scathing songs about your performance) and diversify the situations a bit

finn’s lute: the lute was stolen by some bandits, one of whom is making bank going from town to town with it as a bard. theyre a charming thief and have a way with words, and no ones gonna side with you over him. he’s very weak and not much of a fight, but hangs out in busy taverns and it will be VERY hard to kil or steal from him and get away with it. you have options as to how to deal with this, including murder, theft, doing him a “favor” (stealing something else for him of greater value as a trade or maybe resolving a conflict with the other bandits), etc. none of the options are particularly glorious and your partner writes a song about the mighty hero begrudgingly making shady deals with a twinkish thief in a tavern. 

panteas flute: a necromancer stole a flute, and now theres whispers of strange music and sounds of revelry in the marshes at night... this is bc the necromancer HAS actually enchanted it to ‘make the dead dance’. you find them in a grove, at the remains of what looks to be some wild bacchic revelry where all the people are dead except for the necromancer. they play the flute, which reanimates the corpses in waves, with some of them attacking you and some just dancing. your partner watches from a safe vantage point and commentates on your performance. 

rjorn’s drum: i dont really remember doing this one ingame. basic summary is ‘find lost drum of a 2nd era battle drummer (who turns out to have been lured to his death in this cairn by a powerful draugr lord) which i think could be interesting.. i guess it would be cool if it could bring the historical element into it more , like we learn about what a battle drummer was. might be corny but it also might be fun if during the boss battle, the ghost of rjorn manifests and plays a warsong that gives you advantage in the battle. your partner joins in

the “tending the flames” quest comes AFTERWORDS and is the grand culmination of events. id want it to be very much steeped in history and kind of exploring the role of the bard in nordic culture. we NEED to be able to read more of the poetic edda since its like, the bardic history of skyrim. 

i think it would be interesting if the ghost of the bard svaknir (who accompanies you) uses the Voice in song form, which im not sure if thats technically just a headcanon or not but it would be really interesting. he definitely should be singing AND fighting (instead of just fighting and yelling) but you cant actually talk to him or get him to tell you the verses. 

once you recover the verse, viarmo is like “god damnit this is barely intact. UGH. come see me later” as-is ingame and the quest is on hold. and this bit might be stupid but here me out:

at this point, you can wait a few days and get a summons to return to the college and complete the quest as normal. but youll hear rumors like “theyre saying that something happened at dragonsreach.. that big dragon skull is gone!!” it adds a miscellaneous quest. 

you go investigate, and theres a big fucking hole in the walls where numinex’s skull used to be. a guard was like “damndest thing. it just went FLYING!”, its implied that this was numinex being resurrected by alduin.

your partner, a devoted bard very interested in the college’s history, is like “HOLY SHIT LETS GO FIND NUMINEX TO HEAR THE STORY STRAIGHT FROM HIM!!!” theyre really enthusiastic about this as a way to both learn this mysterious segment of history and as a more dignified way to save the verses than “making shit up”. you can choose to accept this or to go “no way lol” and just complete the quest as normal by making up new verses. (choosing to visit numinex will gain your partners approval, choosing not to will make them think youre lame)

if you accept, your partner is like “hmmm well all the stories say numinex roosted on mount anthor. lets check there”. you go there, he’s there, but not quite himself. he’ll be willing to talk with you, though very rude. he doesnt care that much about the silly little human festival, but he’s really quite lonely, lamenting about his imprisonment and eager to tarnish the reputation of the foul nord that captured him. one way or the other, you can get his side of the story in order to truly restore the poetic edda. you can go through this without him becoming hostile, and afterwords he can be found here or at the throat of the world, chatting with paarthurnax

either way, the ending is similar- you can tell the story as numinex told it, or you can make shit up like you do ingame. the festival is a success, and the bards college starts treating you like an actual bard. you can now actually play instruments, and earn money in little sidequests to perform at inns and at events and stuff, help write songs, etc.

maybe as a final little thing.. your partner asks you to accompany them to bard’s leap. if you do that, and you jump alongside them, theyll finally respect you . (just a bit) and they can be a permanent companion

Have they had their hearts ripped out before jumping into your fluffy romance? Are they aro/ace and have never been in a long-term relationship before?

Since I only have the one solid WIP that's what I'm doing. Get ready for a Stupid World dump! Although, I'm probably going to give it a proper name soon. Kiki: I'mma keep it real w u chief, she's been WAY too busy supporting herself n shit as an orphaned kid and college student. She had ONE remaining family member, who she *is* close with - a little sister. Other than that? She doesn't really have any attachments to anyone. Lafarallin: As elves are mostly enslaved by humans in his world, and he's the equivalent of like 14, he hasn't really had the chance to form any romantic or sexual relationships with anyone. He's friendly with the other elves in the sages' temple he was born in, but nothing particularly close. He's young and naive.

Onyx: Listen. She's a dragon. A young adult dragon. She has fucked before and she will fuck again. She's never had any real meaningful relationships - kind of a "bust a nut and off ya strut" kinda girl - but she's been around the block a few times. She's never held any interest in any beings other than dragons prior to the story, however, and magic is a great contraceptive. She has no real family ties or anything, either - dragons can be kinda brutal with how they raise their young. It's kind of a case-by-case basis thing, but still. She was basically on her own by the time she could catch healthy prey.

Murgakoth: She's very close with her orc tribe - they're a very "it takes a village to raise a child" kind of culture. Not everyone is related by blood, and they keep good track to avoid accidental inbreeding (though their DNA is kind of like a snake's - if they DO accidentally inbreed once, their genetics can take it so long as it's not continuous) but all the adults help raise all the children. Other than that? She's tried dating a few times, but she's more interested in the hunt than anyone around her age in the tribe.

Barir: He's definitely dated before. He actually did have a sweetheart before his accident, but he was assumed dead for long enough that she had moved on, and by the time he got out... Well. He's not really in a good state to date ANYONE at that point. He wasn't ready to settle down, though, as he hadn't known what he wanted to do with his life yet - good thing, too, can you imagine explaining his situation to any kids he could've had? "Sweetie, daddy's never going to come back. No, he's not dead, he's just got major trauma and anger issues and WILL destroy us all if we force him back into the underground city. I'm not even sure if he remembers you exist, honestly." Yeesh, good thing he wanted to wait to bone down until he knew where his life was going, that would traumatize a kid.

Tizedan: She's interested in possibly dating, but she knows her chosen profession (adventuring hero) is STUPIDLY dangerous. She's resolved not to date anyone who can't adventure with her - she doesn't want to leave someone not knowing what she might be doing or if she's okay. She's had a few guys try to take advantage of her seemingly naive external personality to bone her, but she's cut all their dicks off. Clearly, they were uncontrollable horny animals - and what do we do with those? Castrate them. Ziorvai'in: He's a dark elven prince. He doesn't date lightly, and he's not a fan of casual sex. He's got a lot of potential suitors lined up if he wants to, some trying to woo him in traditional manners, but he's turned them all down. And then he trained with monks for some time - yeah he's a kissless virgin lol. Though that's by choice - in his mind, the safety of his people comes first. For now.

Krr'Kiri: Gremlins don't really have a concept of "dating" per se. They're a very open relationship kind of people. However. They fuck. A LOT. Krr'Kiri has ABSOLUTELY fucked before. Casual shit, yes, but they have. And they have NO IDEA why other races are so shy about sex. Like seriously every known animal does it! Why be shy? They will never know. They kind of understand dating in a way, though, because gremlins will often decide on one to three (on average, sometimes more) recurring fuckbuddies and have children with them. They also have some way of keeping track of who's related to who, but lord help you if you try to figure it out. No one but the gremlins knows how they do it and they are. Remarkably unhelpful with their explanations.

Bein real, idk who all has done this, so I'm just gonna have an open tag for anyone who cares. Except @crypticcodexcreations, I'm throwing this back at you directly. Do one of your other wips coward lol
