Last mine seal!

This mine seal features two women with a human torso and head and a dragon lower half. The other mine seals all feature the breakable crafting items (coral, crystal, and obsidian). So, I'm curious what the dragon ladies mean for the last set of mine levels. With the way the story of the Dragon Priestess has been progressing, the last mine floor will likely revel what is going on with her and set her as another staple npc. What I'm really curious about is what the last levels will look like. Will there be dragon and dragon priestess statues everywhere? Will it be like much more detailed ritual chambers? There's a sun and moon motif on the back walls, perhaps there will a lot of space/ celestial motifs?

There's gotta be something more to the Blood Moon right?

It was associated with the Forbidden Five in ancient times and the curse on Egalt and Rontu, but even if there had been a Blood Moon when the FF ruled the Wyldness, it only would have lasted one night.

Ras describes the sacrifices needed to free the FF as sacrifices "to the Blood Moon" and when he addresses his master, he stares at the Blood Moon.

Lloyd's visions even post-Blood Moon still include it, and the Source Dragon of Motion herself attacks and destroys it (in Lloyd's head).

Underrated DFQC moment is after XLH proposes to him and they get engaged, when Xunfeng shows up and interrupts their kiss (the audacity!!) and starts going on about how Canglan can’t get married because ancient laws and all. And DFQC? He literally doesn’t even dignify him with a response. He just takes XLH’s hand and they leave. Like that’s very hot of you.

And I know he has to actually face this issue later, because it is a real issue, fair or not, but in that moment he is just like ‘how dare you.’ He barely makes eye contact with him, and he’s so right for that.

Yesterday's episode were great I wonder what today's episodes will bring...

HE'S HERE!!! TAURUS IS HERE! EVERYONE PANIC! let's see how badly this ends....

Surprisingly well actually.

The music in this episode was also really good. I usually don't pay attention to the background music, but the music in this episode was really good it kinda reminded me of Walking Dead mixed with Last of Us. I'm not sure if that was the intent, but it works really well I feel for this situation.

Taurus is obviously menacing, but he's also oddly calm. Not what I expected from a destroyer of worlds. He says he's just here to observe Lunar and the others and decided if Lunar and probably the whole world should live.

I ain't gonna lie, I don't have hope for this world.

Taurus is gonna take one look at the whole place and decided everyone is better off dead. Which will probably lead to some kinda of Astrals civil war or Nexus showing up and whooping Taurus and the others Astrals behinds and Lunar having to step in and save the Astrals. But that's a pipe dream I guess. We'll have to wait and see.

I can. Nebula isn't a big fan of Taurus, and he clearly isn't a big fan of her. The way he talks to her, I get she's just the messager, but she's still a person. Taurus is gonna be observing everyone and his next stop his Sun and Moon, and I don't have high hopes for what he'll say or think of them. Him and the other Astrals know about Nexus and his little stunt with star power. Sun, Moon, you guys better have a good space lawyer. I know Earth plans to befriend Taurus and make things easier on Lunar, but I have a feeling Taurus isn't the friend making type.

Gemini did say Taurus would threaten Lunar's family to get a reaction out of him. Taurus, I swear to gosh! If you hurt any of them.

Also, I think it's a matter of time until Earth runs into Nebula again, and if she does, I hope she can convince Nebula to help them with EVERYTHING going on.

We'll have to wait and see.

Now, let's see what Sun and Moon are up to maybe they'll have a calmer episode today...

Solar and New Moon reunite.

Guess that saying was right for Nexus (Not really but still)

Solar tries to reason with Nexus and even says he can help him come back to the family, and Nexus just laughs! He starts spouting off all these lies about the family, like how Lunar never cared about him. He did! That Earth was just trying to fill the void cause her dad didn't love her. Earth still believed the creator loved her at that time, so that's a lie! And that Sun never cared and just took pity on Nexus. Nexus, you dense mother.... Nexus, you are just a terrible person. Knock off the oc act and get a life! Seeing as how you lost the one you had. I mean, you'll probably get yourself killed soon anyways so what's the point. But we probably should worry. Someone pointed out to me that Nexus could be a part of Rez's plan, and it's definitely looking like it. Maybe Dark Sun is Rez's master or at least is in league with Rez and his boss. I feel so bad for everyone here. (And I kinda feel bad for Nexus.... but not by a lot.) I more pity Nexus cause one day I hope he'll realize that he lost the BEST thing that ever happened to him and will never get it back and I hope he dies knowing that.

I more so feel bad for Sun and Solar.

Solar already had to kill his Moon once... and now he has to do it again. And Sun sounded so shocked and saddened when Solar suggested they kill Nexus. Nexus/New Moon was the Moon who actually showed he cared for sun. And he did at one point, but now he can't even say Sun's name without wanting to gag! Oof.

This is just sad all around.

And now they have Nexus, Taurus, and Creator after them.... LOVELY!

This is all going to boiling over and culminate in some crazy Infinity war level poo I hope.

And now, it's a less sad one but still equally as worrying.

Puppet and Solar reunite! Yay! At least one of his reunions went well today.

Puppet filled in Solar to everything that has happened. Gosh, that must have been fun. This is like the second time someone has had to explain to him what's been happening since he's been dead.

Solar gave Puppet some advice on what to do about Eclipse, and Sun gave her some advice on what to do about the other Sun and Moon. I hope their advice works. Puppet expressed at the very end of the episode her wish to leave this new dimension and return to the old one.... Puppet...

WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST STAY IN THE OTHER DIMENSION THEN?!

Puppet, you left that universe to protect everyone from Puppeteer. Now, I'm not sure what the deal with Puppeteer is now. He's been weakened cause Puppet herself has been weakened, but there is still the risk of him coming back. Are you really gonna take that chance, Puppet?

Also, Puppet, you uprooted your entire family's life to go here. You don't have that apartment anymore! You can't just decide to move to a whole other universe and bond to said universe only to decide to leave it after what 3 weeks?

Yes, I know Foxy chose to go with her, and he could have chosen not to but did, but still, you can't just decide to ditch when the going gets tough Puppet, you stick it out and ride the waves till it all calms. I hope everything works out for Puppet and Eclipse and hope Sun and Solar's advice to her works. Also, sorry if it seems like I hate Puppet's character, I don't. I love her character and this flaw of hers. I'm just being critical.

truth be told, during that first full moon, iroh was absolutely terrified that he'd lose zuko to the curse. he was prepared for the worst... and then the worst doesn't happen. zuko is... fine? he's grateful, but he also feels like this is a cause for concern in and of itself.

whenever possible, they try to dock the ship before the full moon. no one wants to deal with a cranky giant wolf who is confined entirely to the deck of his ship.

when I say wolf!zuko is giant, I mean it. he comes up to iroh's chin while standing up. big ass wolf. aang has to restrain the urge to ask his firebending teacher if he can ride him. it probably would not go over well.

the fire lord is nowhere to be found within the caldera on the night of the full moon. no one knows why. few in the fire nation have heard of werewolves, so they don't link the missing fire lord to the reports of a wolf sometimes seen in the vicinity of the caldera.

iroh does not expect his nephew to still be capable of firebending when he's transformed. zuko does not expect this either. it takes everyone by surprise the first time he breathes fire that in that form. what the fuck prince zuko.

OH IS IT EGG TIME?

Something something never skip egg day.

But all plot promises aside I love the thought process Doumeki is showing here. 

He understands an “egg” as “something that new things are born from”, and so he can’t imagine what other use it might have if that option is off the table. 

And there are so many different layers to that concept alone. Doumeki is, after all, a regular person who was presumably born one of the regular ways. For him, Egg -> New Birth is the ordinary and perhaps exclusive way of things, from his point of view. 

But what about eggs that aren’t laid at all, but still exist? What about eggs that are glitched into being - like Watanuki was? If Watanuki is an egg he is technically the same egg as the egg that originally existed, but he wasn’t the one that was actually raised by his parents. Does an egg like that still have some use in this world? (which is a very affirmative yes)

What about eggs that are separated from their world of origin, do they still have some use? Tampopo says yes! Like Watanuki, even if it’s just human connection and making someone else happy, then it existing at all is always a good thing, even if it wasn’t supposed to be here originally. 

And what about eggs that never hatch? Do they have some use in this world? 

Yuuko said it will. Doumeki doesn’t understand how, but he’s still only thinking about it from one angle. 

If he were thinking about it like a chef, for example, then yes there are many, many uses for an egg that will never hatch. As long as it didn't go off.

So clearly he should spend even more time with Watanuki. :)

im gonna give it like 2 months for caged lungs to sit before i start rambling about the motifs/metaphors/foreshadowing i put there if nobody else ends up doing it. ive been like holding myself back and i went as hard as i could on some of the little details... itll be a christmas present to myself

I don't even know how to start this post, I've been just thinking about this concept of like... "Role Redundancy" in One Piece, regarding the OG Shichibukai. A lot of it does come from people just speculating about Crocodile's past and future role in the story, and how often I do kind of feel like certain suggestions/ideas feel somewhat too redundant, as the idea may have already been done with another one of the Warlords if not multiple. (An example of this could be the "former slave" theory, because we already have two former slaves amongst the OG Shichibukai; the fact that Crocodile would then be the THIRD one makes me less likely to believe the theory personally.)

And that just made me wonder even more about how, when you think about it, a lot of the Warlords do actually have stuff in common with one-another, but only to a limited degree. Like there is what almost feels like intentional redundancy amongst these characters and their roles, but it's done carefully so they're not too repetetive?

And to really visualize the connections... I had to make a chart

(Could've added a "Tried to kill Luffy" but literally the only characters who wouldn't fall into that bubble would be Jimbei and Kuma, so it felt a little unnecessary)

Now this is just what I could think of very quickly at the top of my head, you probably could figure out more "Role Redundancies" between these characters. But figuring out all the theoretical connections/similarities between the characters isn't as important as noting how, yeah, most of those similarities are only shared once or twice between characters. They get repeated, but not so much they become actually reduntant in the story (personal feelings/relationship with Luffy aside, that one is quite natural to repeat after all) Also interesting how Crocodile seems to have The Most Shit going on with him, to the point the only characters he doesn't really seem to have one-on-one similarities to are Moria and Hancock

I don't really have a point to this post, I just thought it was interesting to think about and try to visualize. And I do wonder if this could be used to like, try to predict where the story is going, somehow? But yeah, just something to chew on
