Three rings.

It took three rings before you answered the call. It was late so he thought you might be asleep, but he knows you always sleep late so he gave it a try. Just before he was about to hang up he hears your voice from the other line

"What?"

"Not even a hello?" Jaehyun chuckles

"What do you need, Jae? Aren't you rehearsing right now?"

A few hours ago he sent you a text while he was at the practice room, complaining about how he wanted to go home already but he still had a lot of songs to rehearse. It's now past midnight and he just got back home and the first thing he did was call you.

"Nah, I'm back home. I need to wake up early though. I'm going to dye my hair for the fanmeet"

"What is it with you guys and dyeing your hair before enlistment?" you teasingly ask him, referring to your older brother who did the same before shaving his head full of damaged hair just a few months ago. "Are you gonna go bald too?" you ask with a laugh

"Yea no, Jungwoo's not going anywhere near me with a pair of scissors"

"Aw, I was looking forward to that"

"May I remind you how you cried when you saw Taeyong hyung after shaving his head" he reminds you, recalling that emotional night.

The two of you met through your brother, his leader, Taeyong. Through the years you and Jaehyun grew close since you're the same age and used to attend the same school. What he likes most about being friends with you is how you treat him like a normal guy, not some famous boy group member.

To you, he's just Jaehyun.

As for Taeyong, he knows there's something more but he doesn't say anything about it to you. He'll let you figure it out on your own. He already had that talk with his member and even though Jaehyun may be his bestfriend, when it comes to you it's a different conversation. Though Taeyong already knows that Jaehyun's priority is very similar to his, your safety and privacy. Your brother knows you're in safe hands.

"So why did you call again?" you ask your bestfriend

"What's your favorite hair color that I did?"

"Huh? You called just to ask me that? I dunno, blonde? Like your hair during Perfume promotion? Ooooh but pink suites you too"

He listens to you list down all the colors, waiting for you to finally pick one. He lays down on his bed, staring at the canopy above while your voice fills his ears

"Okay I think it's blonde" you say with finality like it's such a serious discussion

"Are you looking at pictures of me?" he asks, a teasing hint in his voice

"I need reference, just to be sure. Why are you asking me anyways?"

"Nothing, just curious. Anyways, I got the tickets for you for the fanmeet"

"Oh shit, didn't I tell you I can't come? I have this thing I can't miss"

Jaehyun immediately sits up on his bed, mood already deflating. It's the last time he'll perform before his enlistment and he was hoping you'd be there. You're always there to watch the group and even the individual members' concerts, in a way you try to show your support while your brother is away.

"Really? You can't reschedule the other thing or maybe come the second day?" he asks, voice still hopeful

"I'll ask my supervisor, no promises though. Sorry, this was scheduled since last month"

"No, don't worry about it. Guess I'll just see you after? I still have your gift from Paris"

"You didn't need to get me anything, I told you! Anyways I need to go, talk to you tomorrow" you hang up the call before he can say anything else.

There's really no other agenda, you weren't about to miss your bestfriend's first solo event. You were going to be there no matter what, rain or shine. You just wanted to surprise him.

The two of you still messaged back and forth before the event, until the morning of the fanmeet Jaehyun was hoping for a change of plan from you but it's been hours since he last heard from you.

"The fans are coming in now, you're going on in less than an hour" his manager tells him "Some of the members are here too, just waiting for the others"

"Okay"

He scrolls through his phone, singing quietly to himself while he waits. People are going in and out of the dressing room so he didn't pay much attention to whose coming in through the doors, little did he know one of the staff member was guiding out just outside the door while you hold a big bouquet of flowers.

"Did I overdo it?" you ask his manager, earning a chuckle from them "I think he'll like it" he tells you

"He better, I spent a good amount of money for these. He's in there right?"

"Mhm, he's alone now. You can go in, maybe he'll stop moping around"

You thank staff for helping you before stepping in his dressing room, he's sitting on the couch with his back to you so he still hasn't seen you.

"Heard you were moping around, maybe this will cheer you up"

Jaehyun turns his head so fast, almost gave himself a whiplash. Checking to see if he heard that right, if it was really you. And there you are, standing a few feet from him with the biggest bouquet of flowers

"Thought you were busy today?" was all he can say.

He really thought you weren't coming today, he was feeling really down despite looking forward to this event for weeks. He just really wanted to share this day with you and now you're here.

"I was lying, forgive me but I wanted to surprise you so you can't be mad at me" you tell him, walking over to where he was. He stands up from his seat to meet you in the middle, you give him the flowers smiling so big your cheeks hurt.

"You really think I was going to miss this? How little did you think of me?" you tease him, there you notice his blonde hair recalling your conversation from a few nights ago "You look cute, I like your hair"

He still hasn't said anything, just looking at you like he can't believe you're here

"Yah, what's with you? You okay?" you ask

Instead of saying anything, he pulls you in for a hug. One arm around your waist while the other holds the flowers you got for him.

"Thank you for coming" he whispers against your hair. You smile at his words, you throw your arms around his shoulder to give him a proper hug "Wouldn't miss it for the world. Are you going to sing my song though?" you jokingly ask as you break from the hug

He looks down at you, now mirroring the smile you had. His previously somber mood making a complete turn for the better now that you're here.

"Which one?" he teases back, even though you think he's only joking there's truth to his words. His songs is his way of confessing his feelings to you. It's not as easy to say the words outright but when he sings them, it's much much easier.

He remembers how much you liked it when he made a cover of 'Like Me Better', that was one of those rare moments he's seen you fangirl over him. When he found out one of your favorite movie moments ever was the one from 10 Things I Hate About You, the scene where Heath sings for Julia, he decided to do a cover of that two. The smile you had on when you first heard his voice singing it is forever etched in his mind.

From then on, you've been referring to it as 'your song'. He performed it too during his birthday event, you were there in the crowd of course wearing a disguise but he didn't forget to throw a smile your way as if to let you know that that song is indeed for you and only you.

"Wait and find out, I'm not gonna spoil it to you"

"So you are singing it" you grin at him, already getting excited

"I'm singing my songs too, aren't you excited for that"

"I am, shut up" you give him a punch on the shoulder, "Oh and Taeyong oppa said goodluck" you add, walking to where he was sitting before. He puts the flower down, following you on the couch while the two of you wait for his manager to call him on stage

"Are you gonna cry tonight? Promise I won't make fun of you... a lot"

He knows you would, like he knows how you would probably take a video if ever do cry. "If I cry, then you'll cry too"

"I'm a sympathetic crier, sue me"

"Your brother will kill me if I make you cry so you better not, oh now that you're here" he takes a paper bag from his stuff, passing it over to you

"Ooo goodies from Paris, is it a keychain? fridge magnet? Wait what the hell, Jaehyun?! This is expensive" you say as you open the cartier box

"Early Christmas gift" he shrugs

"You said that was the Prada bag you got me last time you were in L.A"

"That was your birthday present"

"I can't accept this, Jae. This is too much" you tell him but he's already taking the love bracelet out of the box along with the little screwdriver to put it on for you

"Add it to your stack, it will look good" he mumbles, his focus on putting the bracelet on your wrist

"You gave these too! You're spoiling me too much" you laugh, watching him struggle a bit

"Good, so now other guys won't impress you that easy while I'm gone" he mumbles, finally the bracelet locks on your wrist. He looks up at you, sending you smile then lets go of your hand. You shoot him a look, as if asking him what he meant but he choose to ignore you.

"Hey, we need you out there now. Let's go" his managers peeks his head inside, calling for Jaehyun.

He stands up, you follow behind him but before he steps out the door you hold him by the arm "We're going to talk" you tell him

"About what?" he asks, blinking back at you

"You're insufferable, you know that"

He chuckles at your statement, taking the hand that was holding his arm to hold it in his instead. Intertwining his fingers with yours. You look down at your linked hands, it should feel weird. He's your bestfriend for goodness sake. But instead it feels right, like your hands were molded to fit together.

Hoping he doesn't notice your cheeks getting warm, you keep a straight face while looking up at him.

"Told you, my songs are about you. Didn't you hear the part I said I've been crushing on you but I've just been keeping it to myself"

"How was I suppose to know that was about me?!"

"Who else would it be about?" he asks back, still smiling at you. His dimples on full display

"My answer is always you" he teases. Another song lyric, you know that one too. Rolling your eyes at his comment, you give his side a pinch using your free hand

"Jaehyun we need you backstage!" the two of hear his manager shout from outside

"You have so much explaining to do, Jeong Jaehyun" you tell him, letting go of his hand to push him out the door but he don't budge.

He smiles at you again before swooping down to give you a kiss on the corner of your mouth, catching you totally of guard.

"I'll tell you everything there is to know, later. For now I got a show to do. Gonna make sure my girl won't take her eyes off me" he winks then he opens the door, leaving of behind in utter shock.

You walk out the dressing room, watching Jaehyun's back as he makes his way to the stage. Before he turns to the corners, he looks back at where you're standing sending you a quick smile and a salute. You smile back at him, waving your hand to send him off.

calls you whenever he has the chance throughout the day. uses pet names for you, just wants you to feel better. you tell him you don't need anything but he just wants to check up on you, coming to see you on his lunch break and bringing you something too. cancels weekend plans to be with you, making sure you get fresh air everyday. you tell him you're fine, and he's treating you like it's your death bed, but he doesn't care.

maybe i'm just huge into the doyoung gentleman agenda...but i really think he would be there for u the whole time while ur recovering from your cold. if he has a busy schedule, he will make sure you get medicine sent to your door, or get someone to check up on you. he comes home to you asleep, happy you're resting as he walks over to the bed and checks your temperature with the back of his palm before giving u a goodnight kiss on your forehead.

jaehyun

tells you to stay away from him when you try giving him hugs and kisses, jokingly of course (but he secretly does not want to get sick at all). you miss him throughout the week, he told you he's busy and can't be there all the time, but he makes sure to text you when he has the chance. he makes sure to come over after his schedules to come see you, bringing you whatever you texted him to bring, showing you that he missed you just as much.

jungwoo

opposite of johnny, he knows he can't cook. he makes sure to bring you soup every night after work, wanting to sit with you at the table to eat it. tries to cheer you up with his dumb jokes, but it works because it's him. has to go out at times for work, but makes sure to call you and check if you're doing okay while he's gone, telling you he'll be back soon.

mark

doesn't know exactly what you need, so he take a trip to the store and just buys a bunch of medicine hoping it'll work. orders takeout because he's scared if he cooks something it'll make u even more sick. you're so grateful he's around to take care of you, wanting to give him a hug. he reciprocates, but sort of from the side, telling you you're not allowed to get him sick before he gives you a kiss on the head.

clingy haechan agenda is real..he doesn't wanna get himself sick but he doesn't want to leave u alone one bit. you tell him not to stay so close to you or he's not gonna be able to sing but he doesn't listen, telling you his schedule isn't thatttt busy. makes sure he cooks you soup every day, telling you he has a secret recipe that'll make u feel better quicker. loves giving u kisses on the cheeks before bed, still sleeping in the same bed as you even if he'll risk his own health.

He’s the one on all her paperwork, so he’s gotta be there for everythingggggggg-- Dance recitals, sports games, pre-k graduation, etc.

Taeyong - tired dad Falls asleep everywhere in the house with Reyna laying on top of him. He didn’t get to spend much time with her when she was a baby because of his enlistment, so he does a lot to make up time with her now. Likes to spoil her with expensive gifts. Teaches her to dance. Front row for all of her school events and performances so he can record and take pics like an embaeassinglty proud dad.

Yuta - fashionista dad Picks out all of Reyna's outfits, buys all of her clothes, very critical of the outfits the other boys try to put her in whenever he's not around. Goes with her to the hair salon to make sure the stylist doesn’t fuck up his daughter’s hair— Loves to wear matching outfits with her omfg….. Very casual, so he only picks her up when she runs over to him and asks. Teaches her to speak Japanese, insists that she only speaks Japanese when talking to him. Takes her to Japan whenever she's on break from school. Loves to take her to concerts, having her run on stage before the show starts and the stadium is empty, making sure her noise cancelling headphones are snug on her head every time he runs off stage between sets, etc. Average rockstar dad things.

Doyoung - cuddle bug dad If he can’t sleep, he’ll steal Reyna from Ahri’s room and sleep with her in his room. He loves to watch her run around in her princess costumes omfg. He loves to make her laugh because he thinks her laugh is the cutest thing in the whole wide world-- She has a bright, wide, gummy laugh just like him. He’s just all around supportive. Buys stuffed animals for her, specifically bunnies. He does the chores around the house, he takes Reyna when Ahri needs a break, he helps Johnny with paperwork and any tasks for Reyna, etc. Basically just the back bone to everyone else’s dad traits.

Jaehyun - bestest dad in the whole world Loves to hold her and carry her around the house. Loves cuddling with her and watching movies with her. He takes her to work in the years before grade school starts, then he starts taking her on holidays and weekends when Yuta doesn't steal her away to Japan. He’ll have her run around practice rooms, sit in the board room chairs that are too big for her, watch as he records music in the music booths, etc. If he could take her everywhere, have her attached to his hip 25/8, he would. He loves doing everything with her.

Jungwoo - silly dad Sneaks her snacks, takes her to do fun things. Is very protective and will bat off all the little kids who try to flirt with her on the playground. Cries on her first day of school. Play date dad-- Drops her off at the other parents' houses, scopes out if it's safe or not, runs the interrogations (He will interrogate the kids, too, no one is safe from protective dad!Jungwoo). If it's a sleepover, he'll overpack her bags and sit in the car in the driveway for, like 10 min, worrying about her before he finally goes home.

Mark - late bloomer He’s figuring it out, he just needs more time… He’s a lil scared…. But when he’s missed her lots after tour or something, he’ll fight everyone else to hold her in his arms for hours to days on end. Haechan has a folder full of pictures and videos of Mark and Reyna sleeping or playing together. When Mark and Hyuck are on tour and he bring up missing her, Hyuck will pull out his phone.

Haechan - the most girl dad to ever girl dad Bro is obsessed with Reyna even before she’s born ok. Buys her everything she wants. Plays silly games with her. Will dress up as a princess for tea time. Makes silly faces with her as their silent love language. Spoils her to Hell and back because he doesn't want her to lift a single finger ever. If one of the boys tries to give her chores to do, Haechan will do them for her, even though he hates doing chores. Teaches her bad habits because it’s fun for them to do together even tho Ahri and Johnny beg him not to…

BUT, if you really have him fucked all the way up he's not gonna hear you out no matter what you say. He would be cursing you out in korean and his basic english😭😭, I could see him asking johnny how to say bitch in English and then call you it you're just like '🧍🏾‍♀️what did I just witness'. Specifically I think he would always end up arguing with tall people, johnny being an example. Then I feel like he would forget why he's mad a day after.

JOHNNY

He would try to use his height as intimidation, he wouldn't stop until he's right in some way, he wouldn't take the initiative that MAYBEEEE he is wrong in a argument. But since he's a sucker for cuteness he would be like "awww you're so cute when your mad" and that gives you more of a reason to be upset😭 toxic johnny? I don't knowwwww. I think he would probably do make up sex afterwards bc he can't stand you being mad at him for too long so, let him make it up to you🙈.

TAEYONG

He wouldn't want to argue like at all, that's the last thing he would want to do. He thinks arguing makes the situation even worse than it should be so he rather talk it out and be civil adults. getting all members of nct into makani, zixin, and minjae's one apartment is originally what they planned, but then they realized that was not that amazing of an idea, because of a bunch of men in this apartment meant for three people is kind of a nightmare and a claustrophobic hikari cannot deal with that.

so they decided to improvise. the rest of the 127 members will distract makani while his amazing and sweet nct sei members prepare his place for a party.

"it doesn't have to be so even, hi" seojun comments, noticing the way hikari is trying to perfectly decorate the cake with the icing in his hands, slowly layering it to make sure the lines are perfectly across. "seriously, maki won't care".

"yeah but i care".

"we're literally gonna dig our hands through that, no need to make it all pretty".

hikari pauses, then pouts. "but i want it to look pretty, because presentation is important".

"not when your gonna watch makani fuck this shit up in the next hour or so" minjae states much more seriously than he intends, and hikari stares at him like he just said something crazy.

"why the hell did jungwoo buy him a whole mall?" xavier inquired as he stares at the sheer amount of gifts jungwoo got for makani, they practically made up half the gifts given to makani.

"done!" hikari screams, letting go of the icing he was using to decorate the cake. he then looks to minjae, who immediately knows what he means. minjae rushes to hikari's side with the candles, and the two get to that.

"how come he got so many gifts? i didn't get as much as this for my birthday".

"stop complaining".

"i'm not complaining, i'm commenting on my observation".

"he's coming!"

minjae startles, almost knocking over hikari, who was holding the lighter. that would've been a horrible incident. "i'm sorry" he whispers, glaring at zixin.

"what do you want us to burn down the house?"

"that's what the text said!"

"well don't scream it! he's gonna hear us!"

luckily, hikari is done lighting the candles, and there won't be any more risks of the dorm lighting on fire, hopefully..

Some musings about Jaehyun's character.

I used to wonder whether Jae would present as more effeminate if he grew up in a non-homophobic country. However, now I think his "girliness" is not feminine, it's childish in its core.

I don't find Jaehyun weird. He has no strange, out of place, unpredictable reactions and behaviours (like Taeil or Jungwoo). Taking pictures of hair on the floor in the hairsalon, playing with a balloon on his own during MV shooting, chasing sea-gulls and geese, pretending to be attacked by a plush snake - this is a picture of a smart curious kid who entertains himself.

I wrote this break-down in 2019 and I still stand by it.

There are two ways to behave like a Child. 1) To be irresponsible, egoistic, whining, weak, wanting others to do everything for you. Facing difficulties these people blame everyone but themselves, demand others to solve their problems, can't negotiate, scream and cry to get what they want. 2) To be playful, unserious, curious, spontaneous and so on.

"Treat your inner child" saying is about number 2. It advises an adult working person to love themselves, unwind, buy a cake or a cute but expensive thing. Do something the adult lacked during childhood, or which allow to temporally comeback to childhood.

Jaehyun is a very responsible person. Even neos comment he doesn't complain. He finished high school despite practicing choreos till 5 a.m. He writes with punctuation, he greets with one hand on another arm. When he debuted, he wrote to his mother that now he will take care of himself, that she can live her own live (she had to abandon her career to raise him, his parents had him when they were still students, it seems). Jae says he is adapteable. He had to change environments three times (SK->US, US->SK, SK(normal school)->SK(Sopa)) growing up. He gave himself homework in the form of listening and analysing whole music albums during trainee days. He can take care of his own body, maintain a diet when needed. He knows how to cook, even how to clean an octopus. Jaehyun can take care of himself.

In theory.

Thing is, the most comfortable state of being for Jae is The child. The curious playful one who wants praise and affection. (Maybe because he lacked it growing up. Maybe his best memory, "safe place", is tied to the time before moving to US, when his parents took him into their bed, and his granny carried him up on her back to the rooftop to look at the Moon, I don't have enough info to speculate).

Two childhood stories Jae shared stood out to me: 1) how he washed dishes and waited for his mother to come home and praise him for being a good boy and freeing her from the chore, 2) how he was too shy to befriend his new classmates, when he cameback to SK, and kept to himself untill he participated in some kind of a performance and discovered people noticed him and cheered for him, how he liked that kind of attention that being on stage gave him.

And let's add the fact how he swooned all neos' moms, when he was a trainee, to the degree Doyoung complained and was jealous about mama Kim.

Mark, Ten, WW, Yuta - with all of his friends Jae reverts to playing like "a 5 year old". Pretending to drown, running away from the rest in the park, riding small bicycles. Even playing more adult games like paint-ball, instead of concentrating and becoming "a dangerous man of war" Jae fumbles and gives himself penalties by being clumsy and air-headed, and not even figuring out what he did wrong.

Jaehyun wants the freedom to be carefree and naive, in a sense, silly. Childish in a positive sense.

He can adult, he proved it many times, but he becomes his true self when he doesn't need to pretend he is one, doesn't need to present as one.

Enter Doyoung. The childish behaviour enabler. Yes, to start to see Jae as a man and a potential partner, Do needed Jae to "grow up" (emotionally). Do needs people he can rely on around himself, who he can lean on during emotional distress. However, outside of supportive boyfriend duties, when time and place allows for it, Jaehyun is free to be "baby" or go into his inner world, letting Do to be the mediator between himself and the outside world. Even more, Doyoung will play with him on his rules.

If they don't spend time for a day he faints.

Okay maybe not but he needs to at least text her everyday.

Taeyong was worried for her and the group for many reasons at first. But never made her feel unwanted.

Everyone is a sucker for these two.

She loves him too much. Would do anything for him.

Hugs him 24/7. But also stresses him sometimes.

Same with him, he just loves her. Everyone can see that he adores her even from the way he looks at her.

One "Youngie oppa." from her and he melts.

When he found out that she was going to debut in NCT, he was like a child who got their first puppy.

He was surprised by her personality honestly. She always seemed very shy and quiet. But when they met she was bright and funny.

He hypes her up for everything. And she does the same.

Johnny encourages her to do something stupid and the second she does it, he is the first one to make fun of her.

Loves buying her food.

Her English is not the best but she sometimes speaks English just for fun and he always praises her.

Yuta has two moods for her.

Either babies her or just let's her baby him.

Supports her weird actions. Even gives ideas?

She would help him with everything.

Yena just loves being around him. Either when she is sad or happy, he always goes along with her mood.

And he is open to everything so if she wants to do something new she goes to him first.

Yena doesn't mess with him as much as some other members but he surely is gets teased by her.

And not even intentionally all the time. Her lack of interest in protecting her image as an idol stresses him enough.

He acts like she needs instruction or else she wouldn't survive for long. Not so wrong to be honest.

Her age was what made him really worried and protective over her. Now he is just naturally a mom friend of the group anyway.

She was close with him even in their traniee days. And he was really happy with how she wanted to be friends with him.

Jaehyun is mostly so sweet with her and that makes fans cry.

But sometimes he just finds it funny to annoy her.

After her debut in 127 she slowly started to tease him too.

Now, even when he is sweet with her she just randomly makes fun of him. That's his fault.

She kinda favors him though.

They are just in their own world always.

They can tease each other but also they would do anything for the other one.

No one can upset Jungwoo, she will find you.

Cuteness overload.

Yena gives every unnecessary detail about her life and he listens. Because why not?

Protects her at all costs. Attacks him at all costs.

But also clings into him. Not hugging and all but rather being glued to his side.

Defends him time to time against other members.

Mark thinks she should be a main rapper too. And he is right.

Yena says that her English is better than his that's why he can't understand her.

And he just accepts it...

Phisically she is stronger than him so play fights happen often thanks to her.

He just wants to breath in peace.

Haechan was a little bit intimidated by her before they met. It went away after they've met but she still makes fun of the fact.

Yena knows how he can get so she doesn't show her love openly.

Annoys him, loves to get him shy 24/7.

But if he gets down for some reason she is ready to fight.

Chenle: At the movie theater not actually watching a movie just playing all of the video games, buying snacks and teasing the usher that he's going to just run in without a ticket but never does. Is just content eating popcorn while sitting on the bike of an arcade game.

Taeil always feels kinda discouraged to start doing the chores, and he drags you along on procrastinating with him

"Come here, Y/N, stay with me a little bit more! Let's cuddle five more minutes, okay?". You agree, ofc, and you stay on the bed for a little too long, talking about the zillion things you have to do, but not having the guts to leave each other's arms.

When you start cleaning the house though, he really gets into it. No dirty spots and no dusty surfaces escape his strong hands.

He plays the most random songs, from classic music to heavy EDM, and you vibe together while doing the chores, bouncing with your brooms in hands and spinning your stained cloths in the air.

In the kitchen, he always gladly cooks for you. But after a long tiring day doing domestic chores, you both agree on ordering some food, spending the night just chilling, watching a movie in the middle of which Taeil probably will fall asleep.

Johnny is the one who organizes the chores at home. He assigns what each one needs to do, and there you go, his high energy overflowing from his body, encouraging you and providing you the ignition you needed.

He needs his coffee pauses, and he makes you take a break too. You talk about the most random daily things, which always leads to precious bonding moments, the kitchen getting filled with laidback laughs.

Then you continue your activities, in your own pace, jamming to some soft background music.

Johnny likes to offer you rewards. "If we finish this today, I'll buy us some nice ice cream, and then I'll take you to the movies. Deal?"

Taeyong has the most endearing way of convincing you that it's time to do some domestic chores. "Y/N, come hereeee! It's time for a couple activity!! I even got us matching rubber gloves, look!"

He doesn't let you do heavy tough stuff though. But when you see him struggling by himself and run to help him, he gives you the most precious smile, full of admiration and gratitude. A cute "Thank yoou!" (yes, in his cute english <3) leaves his mouth.

But there's one thing about doing chores with him that is a bit trick: he loves to rearrange the furniture and decoration. It's always extra tiring, but you have to give him the credit for your house being so cool and stylish.

Taking care of your pets is something that consumes a lot of time, but Taeyong does everything with happiness and sparkly eyes.

He makes sure you have some breaks, to keep hydrated and to eat something. He will prepare you some sandwiches, while you start to plan a little trip to the grocery shop.

Yuta and you have this synchronicity and telepathy. You think "I guess it's time to sweep the front yard". You get your broom and everything, and when you step out the house, Yuta is already there, cleaning everything.

He tries to do things in "Marie Kondo style". He takes a long time folding your clothes, but it's worth the effort. Your wardrobe is a beautiful piece of art.

If he thinks something is dangerous for you, he definetely won't let you do it. Changing the lamp? No no no! It's not that he thinks you're not capable of doing things, he knows you can do anything. He just can't live with the possibility of you getting hurt.

After a day of hard work, you take a warm bath together, and stay in bed for the rest of the night.

Like Johnny, Doyoung assigns the chores. He knows the things each one of you is good at.

But he is the type of person that sees you doing something, and automatically says "Wait baby, let me do it for you", or starts helping you, out of habit.

For example: you're doing the dishes, you wash part of the things in the sink, and then you start to rinse them. Doyoung takes the opportunity to sneakily snatch the dish sponge and, it's too late, he won't give it back to you. "Don't get used to it though", he says with a little grin. You grin back, because you lost count of how many times you've heard this same sentence.

You have a lot of plants at home, and Doyoung treats them like real babies. He even bought one for you, a baby tree of your favorite fruit.

Cooking is his thing, so he makes sure you have a nice, delicious and nutricious meal everyday.

Jaehyun will gladly do anything you ask him to do with the best of intentions, and he does his best to help.

He looks at the weather forecast to see when it's a good day to do the laundry, he sorts the garbage for recycling, he researches the supermarkets with the best prices, and does other little things that seem unimportant, but that are truly essential.

He likes vaccuing very dirty places. The satisfaction he gets from seeing the clean path that the vaccum leaves among the dirty is priceless.

But he is clumsy, so you know you can't let him get near the fragile stuff. So the kitchen is a little bit dangerous for him

If he can't help you with something, he makes sure to support you, like a real cheerleader. "Oh yessss honey! You're doing great, wow!That's my baby!!", he says, already massaging your shoulders.

Winwin sees you getting ready to start cleaning, and he asks you what he can do to help, while wearing your spare cute apron, which makes you smile like a fool.

He follows you and do what you do, ocasionally asking you if the things he is doing are good enough.

He is extra careful when hanging the clothes out on the clothesline, making sure to spread them well to avoid any wrinkles. He knows none of you like ironing, and also you burned yourself once, and he doesn't want this to happen ever again.

He spends a considerable amount of time making your bed, changing the bed linen, tyding up the sheets and smoothing the pillows, so you can feel good in a clean space and relax with him after working hard all day long.

Jungwoo is very good at domestic chores. He is a tidy and organized person, so things go smoothly in your house

He has the ability of turning every boring task into a pleasant and funny experience. Out of sudden you're having a broomstick battle. Out of sudden you're blowing soap bubbles. Out of sudden you're with white flour blots all over your face, after a spontaneous flour smudge battle.

For your surprise, he is excelent on fixing things. His creativity helps him a lot, along with a couple of YouTube videos and a degree on engineering.

Times just flies by his side, and you get surprised when you see the sun going down by your window, as he streches his back and says "we're finally done!", pulling you for a little celebration dance.

Jungwoo doesn't want to cook after doing domestic chores all day long. He orders an amount of food that could feed well ten people, and you eat a lot while watching some nice series.

Mark always tries his best at everything. He knows he is a little bit clumsy, so he does things carefully. Thank God he has spider senses.

A chore that is supposed to be finished in ten minutes takes thirty to be completed, but it's completely fine, because you know it will be perfectly done.

He used to get confused with all the types of cleaning products, but he eventually learned about them all and now he knows anything's purpose just by smeling it. "Mmmm very soft floral smell, must be clothes soap/ Very strong and citric, I guess this is disinfectant" (pls people, don't be like this, it's dangerous for everyone!!!)

At the end of the day, he is so satisfied looking at your team work. You can see it on his little proud smile, while he runs an arm over your shoulders and distractedly kisses your cheek.

Haechan whines for two minutes before starting doing chores, but he is a man of action after all. "The sooner we start it, the sooner we'll finish it", he says to himself.

You play rock paper scissors to decide who will be the one that will do the unpleasant chores, like cleaning the bathroom and taking the garbage out.

But hearing your heavy sigh after losing for him makes him go "ahh ok, I'll do it, don't worry, but it will cost you twenty kisses!"

"Well, work is a priority." You said and bent down to make him look at you, "We can buy stuff together the next time." You said and smiled at him, he still looked down, "You're a priority too though." He said and continued twirling the strings.

Your heart skipped a beat when he said that, you put your palms on his cheeks to make him look up, "Just the fact that you said that makes me feel so special baby. You don't have to worry, just being together with you makes me happy."

"I wanna do things together though, when I'm free you're busy, when I'm busy, you're free, is our relationship just coming back home to one another and hanging out on weekends?" Mark sighed and pushed the pillow down, his face forming a small pout. "We can't help it, can we?"

"We can't but it annoys me! Why can't we go on dates like normal couples? The paparazzi will click too many pictures. I asked my manager if i can go shopping with you, he said, "No, paparazzi will click pictures." I mean, why did they reveal our relationship if they had this much of a problem with the media?" He said and slouched, his eyes still on the pillow and his hands squishing the life out of it.

"Markie." You said and tried to get his attention on you, he flinched and removed your hand from his cheek, "No." He got up with the pillow and walked out of the room, going towards the living room where the other members would be.

Jaehyun stared down at the two of you when all of you were eating, Haechan didn't pay much attention, food time is food time. Everyone else sensed the tension between you and Mark and decided to break it slowly.

Jungwoo slipped you a glass of water and you smiled at him, bringing the spoonful of rice near your mouth. "Our Markie, are you done packing?" Mark nodded and gave a sly smile and looked back down at his food. "Didn't you need any sort of help?"

"Why do you think y/n is here?" Mark said to Jungwoo and picked up the chopsticks, he picked up the egg roll and mixed it with the rice slowly eating out of the bowl.

"When are you guys moving?"

"Jungwoo, don't make this more awkward." He said and finished his food, he set down his utensils and got up from the table.

"You bastard! WHO'S GOING TO PICK UP YOUR DIRTY UTENSILS?" Jungwoo shouted at Mark who went inside without saying anything.

"Hyung, leave him be." Haechan said, trying to calm Jungwoo down.

"What's wrong with him?" Jungwoo asked you and you looked up at him, "Manager said no for shopping."

"He's pissed about that?"

"They put him in some dumb ethics seminar so that he doesn't go shopping, he said he's attended it thrice before."

"We'll talk to the manager."

"Mine said yes, but how will you convince his?"

"We have our ways." Jungwoo said, picking up Mark's utensils and putting them in the sink.

You packed the last of whatever Mark needed to move in the carton and then looked around his room one last time. You smiled at your pictures which were set on the table, those were the last things you had to pack. Mark had told you to leave his books, guitar and frames out when you pack, he wanted to pack them on his own. He came out of the washroom, his expression stoic. He picked up the frames and started wrapping them with bubble wrap. You slid your arms around him and he didn't say a word, he kept doing his work silently.

"You can't be mad at everyone."

"I am mad at the world." Mark said and put his first wrapped frame down. "It's fine, baby, I swear." You said planted a kiss on his shoulder.

"I am not fine with it." He snickered and tore the bubble wrap angrily. You didn't say a word after that, you buried your face in his back, knowing if you say too much he will get even more annoyed and will probably throw you out of the room.

"You know what's even more annoying?" You hummed behind him and he turned to face you, "I am ready to fight the world for you, but I seem to stop when it comes to work." Mark said and slid his arms around your waist, "But this isn't even work." He said and sighed.

"That is understandable, Mark. If you don't work, who'll run the house?" You giggled, "My lord." A smile broke on his face and he giggled too, "My lord? How did you even come up with that?" He laughed and then pulled you down on the mattress, "I love you."

"I love you too, dumbo." You said pushed his hair, the door opened and you saw Jungwoo, he closed the door in a flash and walked away.

"Jungwoo was at the door." You said and pushed Mark aside, "He probably thought we were doing something."

"He has trauma from last time." Mark said and laughed, "I don't!" Jungwoo said and opened the door again, "It's normal for couples to, you know!" Jungwoo said and tried avoiding eye contact, "Anyways, I got you permission to go shopping." Jungwoo said and passed Mark the paper.

Your favorite thing to do with him is cuddling or either cooking. Jungwoo loves skinship so much like holding your hands every time or back hugging you. You always love it when he`s clingy but sometimes you feel like you`re being unfair to him because he always asks for your consent when he wants to do something that can make you uncomfortable even though he`s been dating you for years now.

"No, don`t worry baby it`s okay." You tell him and you can see the disappointment that he tried to hide but you can see it in his eyes. 

" I`ll leave it up to you if you wanna spend the night when the time is right." You`re happy that he`s trying to comfort you even though he didn`t get what he wants from you.
