Behind this drawing is faint sketches of Vash's face. In a small panel, Wolfwood hides in Vash's neck as he mumbles to himself "Stop. Stop thinking embarrassing things, Wolfwood..." Beneath this drawing is another of them in bed, Vash now turned to Wolfwood and a hand on his cheek as he kisses him good morning. In a simpler style, Vash wraps an arm tightly around wolfwood with the text "snork mimimi" next to him while Wolfwood says, "We need to get up. Spikey! HEY!" In this corner, there are faint sketches of Vash and Wolfwood; one of them looking at each other; Vash kissing Wolfwood's forehead; Wolfwood saying, "Hand" with an outstretch hand and Vash says "ok" behind a drawing of them holding hands, both turned away from each other shyly. Next is a 4 panel comic. First shows Wolfwood's face getting squished by Vash's hands with the text "squish" around his face. When it comes to Tsukasa and being sick my take on it is that if it's affecting him and only him, he IS going to try and push through it bc he's not about to let it hold HIM down. It's just another challenge in the life of a future star! No it doesnt bother him hes just taking a quick break! No the pain is bearable dont worry its fine! He's not leaving it unattended at all, per se, maybe takes something to help, but doesn't sweat it too much. So things like a headache, stomachache, dizziness, minor injury and so, that's fine for him, he'll work through it or he isn't tsukasa tenma (see: ode to your heart beginning. also phoenix kinda?)

But the moment where he's coming down with something that can possibly SPREAD and infect others, thats a different story. Oh he has a fever?? He's coughing?? He is closing himself in his room on medications and not going anywhere. Unless he deems it necessary to go, or hes not doing terribly bad, then he will leave but only with a mask, 5 boxes of tissues both wet and dry and a disinfecting spray/gel and also he's standing at least 2m away from everyone else at all times, constantly reminding them to wash hands and not touch his things unless he's cleaned them. And he leaves the second he's done with what he needs to do / feels a bit worse

He is NOT going to be the reason someone else is getting sick and he refuses to even risk it. Its fine if its just him because he thinks that he'll deal with it fine (50% chance it passes quickly and mildly and 50% chance it absolutely wrecks him over for at least a week. no in between) but he doesn't know how well others deal with being sick and he'd rather not accidentally cause someone a bad time

To forgive yourself.

Most people have regrets. We all have to live with the consequences of decisions we wish we could take back. But what you regret is more than a mistake or short-sighted choice. You want to rid this world of yourself and feel trapped by all the hands holding you back. "I love you" is the phrase you most dread hearing. You wish that everyone else would hate you as much as you think you deserve. Perhaps you feel it would make ending it all so much easier. It's possible you have only stayed alive this long because you believe the only thing that would cause more misery than your life is your death. Either way, you are certain you live a life beyond salvation. And you are wrong. You have been made to believe your best is not enough, that your efforts have no value because you will always fall short. Perhaps too much was expected of you from the day you were born. I would not be surprised if the impossible was the very first thing you remember being asked to do. You can't stop regretting a failure that was always inevitable. You cannot forgive yourself for existing as the imperfect person you can't help but be. You believe you don't deserve forgiveness. But you do. Your human faults and limitations do not make you worthless. You have as much right to be here as anyone else. Your needs and boundaries are not a burden, and those who would treat them as such are the ones to be faulted. You're here to forgive yourself and the life you live. It will be difficult and it will not happen quickly, but it is a task that needs undertaking. Redeem yourself by slowly, gradually putting an end to your eternal atonement. Atone for the years you've lost to self-loathing by telling yourself that this existence of yours is nothing to repent for. You will not believe it at first. But you must try to treat yourself as you would a treasured friend, as those that love you know you deserve to be treated. Over and over, tell yourself the words that you can't yet bring yourself to believe, and one day you'll notice that they've started to feel as if they might be true, if only now and again. The love that chains you down, that you believe you don't deserve, it doesn't have to torment you. It can be a comfort, too. One day, you will be grateful for the hands holding you back. You deserve to know what it's like to be alive without wishing you weren't. Have faith and dedicate yourself to that.

something Hugh Dancy said at the Dallas panel that I thought was very interesting, was that Will uses (common) autistic traits very consciously as a means to protect himself.

it makes sense. he uses the frame of his glasses as a "social shield" early in season 1. and from season 2 on, that seemed to just "go away", as an example of one of those traits because he specifically mentioned the difficulty with eye contact.

I used to interpret his changes throughout the seasons as him simply dropping the mask. because to me - especially in the beginning - he was trying so hard to appear "normal" that his autistic traits and instability only became more obvious.

so, when he stopped trying so hard and felt more liberated in being himself, he became more comfortable just doing whatever feels right to him, instead of focusing on what makes him appear more socially acceptable.

but Hugh's thought of Will simply using the traits he knows are commonly found in autistic people and saying he's on the spectrum, but not formally diagnosed, makes this a lot more interesting to me!

Seth: a broken man who is only living for vengeance.

he lost all that was important to him: his family. he has no superpowers, he has no healing factor or special training in weapons, he has no achievable goal. what he has is undying rage for the one who killed his friends. killed his family. killed his kids.

it's the only thing keeping him going. the mere thought of inflicting the same pain he's feeling onto the perpetrator is the only thing keeping him from his already dug grave, no matter how much the ghosts of his past wail for him to join them

what was once a strong and kind man who helps in anyway he can has been twisted into a being full of rage and hate, seeking death for death itself

Gabriel: a warrior losing their supposedly unending will

they have the answers to many of their cases, thanks to unfortunate and fortunate circumstances, but nothing has come of it. there is nothing they can do. what they have solved is not accepted due to fear of the knowledge they've gained, fearful of the consequences of acknowledging it

the more they insist the more they are ostracized yet overworked. piles and piles of cases and missions thrust upon them because of their will to act, to search and solve. the work they once loved begins to crush them, danger upon danger crashing down to the point they know their next battle with death might be their last

yet still, they carry on. as if they were atlas, they carry the world on their shoulders, whether they need to or not

Jonah: a man lost in the void, ever sinking and shifting, losing himself to the emptiness

for years to us but infinity to him, he has learned all there is to learn, done all there is to do through the eyes of others, and thought all there is to think. things no human could ever truly comprehend float through the void he resides in, slipping in his ears to his mouth as instructed

the void encompassing him since that cold winters night shifts and expands, leaning into emotion or apathy, kindness and cruelty, estimations of good and bad, and everything in between. all millions of times a second

and every year, month, day, hour, minute, second and nanosecond, he asks himself if it would truly be so bad to sink into the nothing. to let hollowness and blankness take over. would that truly be such a crime? to drift away in this expanse?
