Every character I have for GW2 was made this year I'm new I got here like a month and a half ago hiiii and their lore and stories are all still forming but I'm very fond of all of them TvT so thank you OP for this opportunity to "formally introduce" them all

Duilliche

AKA The Main Character boy. He's doing the plot pretty much as-written, and the guy I spend most of my playtime on. (He's currently loitering at the start of LWs2 while I work on some fics and let the plot-so-far simmer for a while, what's in store for him in future? That's a problem for future me) He's a necromancer with a heart of gold, unflinching belief in the general goodness of the world and its people, and an earnestness that is either extremely endearing or extremely annoying depending on your perspective. He walks almost everywhere he goes, and he walks slowly, unless there's some reason he needs to go fast; as far as he sees it, his memories will impact the Dream and show future generations of sylvari about the world, so he wants those memories to be vivid and qualitative. One key part of his lore so far is that he wasn't actually autumn-coloured when he awoke. He scared the daylights out of everyone in the grove instead by starting off green and slowly fading out to autumnal reds and oranges over time. A lot of people probably thought he was dying 😂

Callainn

The first of several "companion OCs", Cal is like... the direct opposite of Dill in a lot of ways. She's a guardian, stern and aloof, and although her sense of justice is very strong and she places a high value on bravery and valour, my running HC is that when push came to shove and the fight against Zhaitan was getting real, she ran away. It's something she struggles to forgive herself for; that was her moment, as a warrior and protector. She had one job, and instead of doing it, she gave in to fear and fled. I've not yet decided what she's been doing since then (she's gonna have to redeem herself at some point, but I have yet to decide what path she's going to take to it.)

Dreaghann & Lusanaisig the twins

A mesmer and a ranger respectively, Drea and Lus shared a pod and a dream (although Drea actually awoke several hours after Lus, a fact she's forever frustrated by; she's now the most insufferable morning person you'll ever meet, determined never to oversleep again) They're rarely seen apart from one another and very protective of each other. Neither wants to learn how it feels to lose someone who's been by your side since before you were born. Dreaghann is sharp-witted and sharp-tongued. She's highly intelligent and refuses to back down when she knows she's right, or that her plan is the most effective one, even when dealing with someone who outranks her. Lusanaisig is much more easy-going and far more concerned with keeping the peace than his sister, but also far more naive. He smooths out the jimmies she rustles, and she saves him from getting scammed by unscrupulous traders in Lion's Arch.

The whole gang is sort of coexisting in my world state, with Cal, Drea, and Lus taking supporting roles because I Do Not have enough braincells for multiple AUs for different commanders, and all of the lore is still a bit in a foundational/still-forming state while I-the-player acclimatise to the world and its lore, but I'm very fond of the little collection of shrubberies I've accumulated. I don't RP really, I just play with my little guys and their stories like dolls in my head, so none of them have particularly interesting or novel backstories, but they're fun To Me :>

I did this last year and it was pretty fun. So let's do it again.

This is kind of funny because this song is actually on my linked universe playlist in the Hyrule section, but this prompt made me totally rethink it because it fits really well with Sky aswell !

I loved getting to make this little comic, The whole demise curse is such an interesting point for Sky’s character and his relationship with the others, and I love putting my favourite guy through situations :]

Sky: I personally don't see him as being easily embarrassed lol but if I had to choose I bet he feels a lil self conscious over how much he aches thanks to missing zelda so much, like the chain teased him over his infatuation over her a lot pre-curse, but now that they can feel just how lovesick he is, I bet it makes him a lil bit uncomfy

Four: the migraines, I bet, like he gets them a lot, especially post-portal hopping

Time: I wanna project my awful terrible back pain to him, so yeah, back pain lol u know that one scene from the incredibles when bob is fighting that robot and his back starts acting up until it cracks back into place? Like I can see that happening to him a lot lol

Twilight: the midna heartache lmao

Wind: I like the headcanon that he struggles with blisters on his feet cause of not being used to walking, since back home he was raised in a small island and then sailed everywhere, he's embarrassed of the blisters and feet pain cause he doesn't want to be seen as weak and also cause he knows the other will fuss over him

Legend: his chronic/joint pain :( also the emotional pain being in wind's hyrule/lurelin village causes him (the sea)

Warriors: I headcanon him as being super nightmare pilled lol like this baby can fit so many nightmares (war related, traitors related, cia related, etc) pre-curse he played it cool since he's great at pretending he's OK (he's not lol) but with the curse everyone keeps waking up over his nightmare emotional pain and he's mortified the others know

Hyrule: ooooh if we go with the hyrule is part fairy headcanon then I bet he's very embarrassed over how much iron hurts him lol

Wild: probably the emotional pain his memory moments cause him since he doesn't have control over them and he doesn't like how the others look at him post a specifically painful one

Time

★ Def wouldn't hug u at first ( he is the princess knight after all )

★ But when he warms up to you, be ready to recieve the biggest hugs ever

★ Would hold your nape, pulling you closer to his neck, letting your arms freely wrap around him

★ Idk but he gives off the vibes of pulling off long hugs, just breathing into you and taking all of you in

"We're ba-"

He didn't even finish his sentence as he felt his breath being violently taken away from his lungs. And when he lowered his eyes to see your head crushed into his chest, he let down his guard.

Some stared at you, others whispered under their breaths and the rest just didn't care. And he didn't either, he enjoyed the warmth you seemed to pass to his cold body, pressing your front closer to him as a hidden grin painted itself on his lips.

But he was happy to be back with the rest of the group, and he ceirtanly wasn't the only one.

Warriors

★ This cocky mf acts like he doesn't care if you hug him, but he is dying inside

★ He finally got to feel you closer to him, and he would kill to have you this close once again

★ And that's a win win

★ Expect some unexpected bone-crushing hugs after your first one as he has already taken the clue that you weren't uncomfortable

★ This boy is desesperate

"I'm alright, I'm alright"

He then patted your back, his other arm still grabbing his sword. Although you couldn't see it, he had a huge smirk plastered on his face that soon would be pried off his face.

"Oh? Alright then"

Your teasing tone never failed to leave him blushing under his cocky facade, so when you pried yourself off his chest mimicking his smirk he was so confused.

Your back was soon turned to him and he wished he hadn't opened up his mouth in the first place.

"Wait-"

Twilight

★ He literally can transform himself into a wolf so expect the warmest hugs ever

★ He would always try to be as close as you as possible, always using some excuses as if to lend you his hand whenever you had to climb something, shield ready to protect you from any attack

★ The fur he has on his tunic doubles up cozy points ;)

★ He would definitely be the type to cuddle anywhere right after you gave him a small hug

"You're freezing, y/n"

Your eyes found his own ones, bathed in the comfortable hues of orange that the makeshift fire was able to emit. You tried to nod it off, telling him that you were okay, but he saw the way you were trembling under your clothes.

"Come here"

In just two words he got you entirely over him, the moment he opened up his tunic for you to sit on his lap as he tried to warm both of you up, you were at his complete mercy.

"Much better"

Your muttered out words made his heart ache, seeing your form clinging into him as you hid your face on his neck was definitely something else. His surprisingly hot hands soon travelled to your back drawing soothing circles into your skin.

Wild

★ He goes absolutely mad

★ The moment you wrap your arms around him he is absolutely at your mercy

★ He could spent days with you clinging on him, and he surely would cling onto you all day long

★ He would and will give you surprise hugs, whenever you are doing some tasks outside or just whenever your back is facing him

★ Absolutely adores teasing you ;)

Your loud shriek filled the whole inn you guys stopped by to rest.

The reason?

A sneaky bastard that happened to wrap his arms around your waist and lift you up in the air. Thanks to the corner of your eye, you could see his characteristic blue tunic, so you were a bit less spooked out.

"Link!"

His chuckle mixed with the soft sway of the afternoon leafs were the only thing that filled up your mind now. That and his strong arms placing you back down on the ground, your hands holding them for dear life as you felt his face smashed on your shoulder.

He really acted like an hyperactive puppy

Sky

★ Okay so this man, sleep

★ Loves, loves, loves deep and prolonged hugs. He feels as if you were a blanket surrounding his body.

★ So whenever he had to share a room with you in a inn or something he would "accidentaly" book one with only one bed available

★ wink wink

★ And god, the way he cuddles 10/10, would recommend

His legs were a mess mixed with your own ones, your nose pressed into his collarbone as he snored peacefully into the dawn. His arms secured you by your back with a force you didn't even know where it came from since he was asleep.

You didn't notice the way he had enveloped your body with his own one but you were too tired to care. Happily snuggling into his neck as you enjoyed this restful moment.

Looking up into his face before your weary eyes closed themselves, you saw the most serene expression you had ever seen on anyone before.

★ I see him as a more chill version of Wild

★ Always ready to recieve and give the greatest hugs you or he could give

★ Would literally think you hate him if one day you forgot to hug him before waving him goodbye

★ Adores being as close to you as possible, listening to your endless anecdotes

Your soft voice never failed to make him weak on the knees, arms wrapping themselves around your waist as he looked over your shoulder to whatever food you were making.

Silence fell over the room, just both of your mixed breaths and the sonorous sound of your knife chopping some vegetables.

He would often whine when you had to move from your spot, reaching some other utensil. He also weighed heavier as his body would slump into yours, snoozing into nirvana on your shoulder.
