looking at any hazbin hotel screenshots makes me so fucking mad bc vivzie is genuinely not a bad artist, but good god these are not tv-worthy character designs. i genuinely like angel dust's design, and i always have--it's simple enough, it's clean, it's clear, it could lose some things but overall it's not bad! but then you look at husk. and it's like. girl this is torture for your animators. what happened to silhouette? what happened to color theory? what happened to body types other than the stick you found on the side of the road?

and then. god. what's his name in the show, adam? i'm just gonna call him lucifer bc that's who he's supposed to be. that's not lucifer. that's someone else entirely. that is not recognizable as Lucifer Fucking Morningstar. the most major part of lucifer's character in the bible, in paradise lost, in EVERYTHING. is that he's a bad boy who hates heaven and wants nothing to do with it, so much so that he staged a rebellion trying to take over it. so tell me why. vivienne medrano. tell me why you dressed him like a fucking perfect little angel, in all white with a cheeky little apple on his stupid little tophat.

nothing could ever get me to watch this fucking show because i'd just get so stupid angry over the character designs and how the color scheme sucks so much shit because everything is a blurry red mess and it just AUGH. YOU USED TO BE GOOD AT THIS WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENEDDDDDDD.

You know what would fix the story so far imo.

If this was Vaggie's dream instead of Charlie's.

Have everything else the Exact same. Make Charlie an over idealistic busy body with no idea what she's doing, let Vaggie be all hard edges and struggling with her imagined debt to Charlie, hell, Vaggie's wish could even be a secret between the girlfriends so Charlie is pretending to care about something she's largely indifferent to.

Idk that would just make all this seem a lot more palatable than Charlie's "well meaning" complete and utter ignorance. At least then it would have an explanation that tracks rather than just her not having done any research into how to do what she wants before plowing in headfirst with blinders on.

Will do a more in depth redesign discussion once she's in colour but my main give away is that I decided to tweak her design and character with inspo from Spy x Family's lovely Yor Briar

Idea on what a William Afton/Springtrap/Burntrap/Glitchtrap might be like in Hazbin/Helluva

So, he's a sinner no question there. However, due to everything that happened he is still trapped within the golden Bonnie suit. There is a "body" in the suit, but it is one made up of fire with the suit acting as a containing shell. He can eject this this true body out where upon the flames will die out, and he will resemble a horribly burned corpse. Though this is only if he is close to being killed

Anyone wanna explain to me why Charlie is so poorly written?

Even taking into consideration that this is a slapstick unserious story of Lucifer's daughter trying to rehabilitate hell she's way too stupid to take seriously.

I think even Sir Pentious is written better than her at this point up to episode four. Like the naivety was funny up until she literally barged into Angel's shoot and then it was just horrifying. Not only is the hotel failing but she seems a lot more likely to get anyone in the hotel killed because she has no understanding of how serious a situation is until it blows up in someone's face, and her status makes it likely that it's not gonna be her own!
