“Question...?” (Midnights) Matty Healy Masterpost

I haven’t done an analytic post in quite some time! I’m a little rusty, but I felt like this would be fun and …Question? has been pondering on my mind for some time now.

Before I hop into it, this is just a personal analysis theory. I’m not Taylor. I cannot ‘confirm’ whether a song is about someone, only Taylor holds those cards. Since it is a solely a theory; if you have a different opinion on ‘who’ you think a song is about, that is ok.

Now anyways, let’s get started...

Short Summary: …Question? Is a song where the song narrator (singing the song) is specifically reminiscing about a short lived moment of the past, regarding a short-lived situtationship, which we cannot fully call an official relationship because it was fleeting. The song narrator ponders on Questions she’s asking a former brief past lover. The narrator also opens up her heart, and telling her side of the story to that past brief lover, whom she has the Questions to.

Who is the ex fleeting situtationship? (Who the song is about?): Matty Healy.

How is it about Matty, well firstly, I know commonly Harry Styles is thought to be the  muse of this track, and (you never can say never, he very well could ‘still’ be as Harry has similar coincidences experienced and the OOTW sample) but heavily it seems to lay on Matty.

Let’s take an insight look to the lyrics, in a more depth way:

‘Good girl, sad boy / Big city, wrong choices”

Taylor tends to usually refer herself as a ‘good girl’ and has in previous songs, which narratively make it easily to come to the conclusion she is speaking about herself here. The ‘big city’ she refers to is New York, which, Taylor first met Matty Healy in 2014. New York is the “big city” as it’s often nicknamed the big apple for a reason.

At the time Matty had also met Taylor, it was known he was going through a lot himself: former heroin-addiction, outbursts, etc which led to a band intervention. He was not in a good place at the time of the rumors with Taylor.

“Wrong choices” also aren’t from Matty’s end either, Taylor is also speaking about her own wrong choices in the setting of New York.

“We had one thing goin' on / I swear that��it was somethin'”

This is a very specific lyric that many may overlook, but tells a lot by the song narrator. Taylor indicates that she, “swears” they had something going on, meaning there wasn’t anything official, or set in stone. Thus why she, “swears” by it. This lyric here tends to steer me away from the Harry Styles theories, as Harry was in a full fledge (official) relationship with Taylor, unlike Matty where they were briefly having “something going on” even though it was fleeting, and she explains (in the rest of the song, why).

But one thing after another | Fuckin’ situations, circumstances | Miscommunications, and I have to say, by the way | I just want some explanations 

This lyric is quite intriguing because it is insight what led to to derailing and the shortness of this situtationship, and Taylor is asking for an answer (to, whom) she is singing to. Around the time Taylor was seeing Matty (in 2014), briefly as it was just starting up, there was an interview where he described potentially dating Taylor Swift as ‘emasculating’ and denying the possibility of them dating when asked in the past. He later apologized publicly, and said his words were miscommunication, implying they were taken out of context and correcting what he meant.

There is a letter somewhere of his public response, I can’t find the link right now, but it does exist.

Which fits the “miscommunication issues” that led to lost.

Can I ask you a question? Did you ever have anyone kiss someone in a crowded room and every single one of your friends was makin’ fun of you but fifteen seconds later, they were clapping too?

I won’t say much about these lyrics, as it’s a very straight forward retelling specific moment, and Taylor (the narrator) is asking how they felt about that, but it is obvious they shared a kiss, his mates teased him and it’s not the ordinary, only for them to be cheering them on, which mates tend to do. You could also say this scenario is weird for the both of them based on the circumstance.

Half-moon eyes, bad surprise Did you realize out of time?

So, Matty seems to have a hooded eye shape, which you could describe as ‘half-moon’ and when he smiles becomes more obvious in which she is describing. When she also asks, “did you realize out of time?” Is their situtationship coming to an end, and him knowing such.

“She was on your mind with some dickhead guy / That you saw that night”

Now commonly people think these lyrics apply to Harry as Harry looked distressed seeing Taylor with Calvin (masterpost here) but Harry wasn’t the only one during this time who was experiencing this. Around the timing of Matty and Taylor when Taylor started to get close and began seeing Calvin, Matty was there. That exact day. Dickhead guy is also Calvin Harris, btw for anyone specifically curious. 

“But you were on somethin' It was one drink after another”

As already said in this masterpost previously, Matty in the past was taking heavy drugs during this era of time. By 2017, an intervention was held for him by his bandmates. “On something” is pretty on the nose from Taylor.

What also debunks. …Question? Being about Harry Styles, is Harry in an interview himself said he never took drugs, until One Direction split. As he didn’t want to be the one who “fucks up.” It’s been said as well, Harry took One Direction seriously way back then, while his other bandmates (Louis, Zayn) were experimenting. He was “not on something” (Harry) he saw Taylor and Calvin, and that was the BBMA. Unlike Matty who “ran out of time” immediately after, cause after their breath flirting back and forth, Taylor met Calvin right then.

“Fuckin' politics and gender roles”

Matty has been politically outspoken for awhile now, I don’t know too much about him, but 21-year old Harry at the time wasn’t politically outspoken, besides maybe saying “don’t go to sea world” which is all I can really find, etc.

“Got swept away in the gray”

This may or may not be a similar reference like how Halsey paints Matty Healy and associates him with the color gray, he has strips of gray in his hair. Gray (as a color) = associated with some negative connation's, as it symbolizes loss, gloom, etc. Just like “blue’ is associated with describing the feeling of sadness.

Other than the lyrics, let’s talk about the sampling from OOTW.

There are theories that ‘About You’ may be Matty’s song to Taylor (whether it was written about her ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ up to you), but About You is saying, “did you think I forgotten” while OOTW is, “I remember” … Lastly, it is Jack who has long time worked with Taylor both on OOTW and Question. Both songs are on each others pre-set list as well.

How do you explain it when Taylor has coincidences with other people too? For example: Haylors are pointing out how Harry has a similar photo where he's also lying down on the ground and wearing a similar striped sweater

it’s because of the perceived nature of their relationship.

mostly because swifties think taylor and karlie hate one another and so it would be weird for them to hate one another and then do a lot of this repeatedly. if karlie really went to taylor’s show to antagonize her and brought the same style bag as taylor to boot, why would taylor be comfortable enough to use the same style bag days later, if it leads to the impression that they are in cahoots.

as for looking at this from a gaylor perspective, i’ll refer to the vsfs angel wing ring masterpost as another example. there’s a paragraph at the end of the post that i think explains my thinking:

as for the haylor stuff, there are non-haylor gaylors or larries that think there’s coordination going on in that aspect (basically just the idea that they both could be coming out at the same time someday) but mostly, again, its this idea that unknowingly twinning with people you are neutral with can happen, sure, but that it wouldn’t happen if you have a cataclysmic vendetta against them.

i’ll say it again, the twinning itself isn’t proof that they’re together. but, when put together with the music, the visuals, symbolism, sentimental objects, karlie’s work, timing of personal events and world events, lucky numbers, wording, etcetera, it all works in concert to paint a picture that best illustrates the meaning behind so much of taylor’s work.

hey :) you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to but I always thought message in a bottle was for harry ? no ?

No problem anon, I answer all asks I’m just sometimes slow in responding! Originally I had a longer more detailed answer typed out but the app closed on me, which I’m frustrated about. I’ll do a quick summary instead.

Just remember as I always say, I’m not Taylor but so I can’t say anything factual at the the end of the day, but in my personal opinion, it’s not about Harry. Timing doesn’t work, lyrical context doesn’t work, timeline doesn’t add up. He is the mistaken assumption because he was Taylor’s first British boyfriend in 2012 and this song was written in 2012. They had quite a public relationship while Red was released. Naturally people will think that the mention of “London” is a secret tie in link suggesting Harry being the Message in a Bottle muse, but it is often a common misinterpretation when you look deeper in the details:

To keep “shorter” I’ll do the context in bullet-in’s:

Harry doesn’t have freckles, these photos of him were taken in 2012, even the KCA’s which Taylor met him (March 31st, 2012)

Message in a Bottle was worked on in the studio on April 23rd. Which Taylor tweeted about, and she mentioned being in the studio the very next day. It was her very first time working with Max Martin. Harry never flew to London for work while this song was written by Taylor and recorded in April. Instead on April 22nd (a day before she was in the studio making Message in a Bottle) Harry was on stage in NZ, touring and the entirety of April it was Australia:

Taylor mentioned that Message in a Bottle was a song about a crush. Who they had no idea that she liked them. This doesn’t apply to Harry as there was dating rumors about them in early Spring of 2012. The point of Message in a Bottle is that Taylor (narrator) is confessing her feelings to her crush because she was too afraid to tell them in person (fear of rejection) and sounds like future distance was an obstacle to her. She is hoping the person she is confessing her feelings to, one day listens to this song and hears how she feels about them and maybe they could be together. If she did date Harry for a week, he already knew. This song wouldn’t have been made. Since early April was when they rumoured when they dated. It denies the timeline and lyrical context and meaning of the song and goes against everything Taylor publicly had stated.

Max Martin gave public info that confirms it was Maroon 5 (Adam Levine) that interrupted Taylor’s first studio session with Max on April 23rd, 2012 as Max mentioned they were finishing their album. “Overexposed” by Maroon 5 came out on June 20, 2012. In the Lover Journals Taylor talks about working with Max Martin (June 10th, 2012 Lover journal entry) but this session in June in 2012 was actually for I Knew You Were Trouble not Message in a Bottle. Taylor just worked with Max (again) in June.

It is impossible for physical copies of an album to be done one week before an albums release. Confirming to us that Message in a Bottle was recorded, and written by Taylor months before June and confirmation that Adam Levine (Jake Gyllenhaal’s bestie was the one who interrupted the Message in a Bottle studio session.)

Come Back, Be Here (and Treacherous) were written on April 12th, 2012. Harry Styles was touring Australia at this time. No work or reason for him to be in London because his schedule never took him to London when this song was written. Come Back Be Here seems to be about the same muse, who had no awareness that Taylor liked them, even though they liked her. Taylor was visiting New York the same week as Harry further putting the Harry as Come Back Be Here’s rumors to rest…

Message in a Bottle has lyrics implying Taylor lost contact with the muse of Message in a Bottle. It is why she asks them “how is it in London?” instead of directly asking them. She wants to know how they’ve been.

One of the lyrics Taylor asks and wonders if she will ever see them again. Taylor and Harry are both musicians, have mutual friends, etc. Taylor still runs into Harry and consistently did previous years. They attend the same career field events and she saw Harry in September after Red’s completion because they were in touch (numbers exchanged) and began dating.

We are now left with “who is it about?” ….

The only fitting theory is presently Zac Efron:

He has freckles… Both on his nose and a bit light freckles on his cheeks which can also be seen from even afar.

He has sparkly bright eyes that completely stand out in a very evident way…

He was photographed in London on April 23, 2012 for work the same day Taylor wrote Message in a Bottle.

In March he was in New York City then was photographed in London (working) days after while Taylor was touring. Fitting with Taylor’s description about the person she met and suddenly had to go away for work while she was travelling, as they were too. He was in New York and London moving quickly again in April as well because of his tight work schedule.

She hasn’t run into him in 11 years: “wondering if I’ll ever see you again.“

He showed public interest that he liked her even while she was next to him he was making it obvious that he had a crush on Taylor. While Taylor was acting nonchalant and the total opposite (besides publicly admitting he’s cute and almost saying it to him).

Taylor was not rumoured to be dating anyone in January, February, March or April 2012. Besides Zac Efron and Harry Styles in April. There is no public indication or knowledge of Taylor going on dates with anyone else during the timeline we have and written date of the song: the only person who accurately fits the description and timing is Zac Efron, who she did not date.

Both Come Back Be Here and Message in a Bottle context and lyrically indicate it was purely a crush who she never dated and Come Back Be Here expresses that she started to fall in love with them (it hit her) when they left. Which doesn’t work with what we know about Harry and how they immediately (rumored) briefly dated in Spring.

Zac Efron spent late nights working with Taylor to prep the song they wrote about Ellen (“4 AM the second day”), as he was learning guitar since Taylor offered to teach him, and he had confirmed he’s been to Taylor’s house before since he was spending time with her.

(This one is purely up to you whether you choose to read into it or not) but back during the Speak Now era Taylor would write songs on her arm and lyrics indicating how she currently felt. Weeks before Taylor even met Harry and was still on tour Taylor had a few songs (March) about falling quickly and in love with somebody:

Help Me by Joni Mitchell / a track about falling for someone quickly and new (in love again), who is a “smooth talking ladies man” Joni (narrator) asks the person she’s falling for if they’ll join her in the venture in falling love vice versa. The thing is, when you get in relationships, you give up your freedom, which the narrator Joni is acknowledging to the one she’s fallen for and confessing her feelings to them through song. Wondering if both (and specifically them) will chose to give up freedom to be with the narrator… Similar context to Message in a Bottle and Come Back Be Here about falling, and expressing feelings…

2. Neon Lights by Natasha Beddingfield a song about falling for someone, wanting them to feel their love and see it, sharing laughter and memories which is similar context to Message in a Bottle.

There were other songs on the list too from the tour that was interesting.

This is a dimples not discourse blog because I find the whole retreading of where Harry has/is actively/or is going to park his dick incredibly boring. Whether you believe in larry, zarry, haylor, bradrry, Harry is drowning in fan pussy, blah blah blah, someone on here will validate you. I think it’s probably all a lot more nuanced than some masterpost, anon “receipt,” or fan girl wet dream fantasy could ever explain and frankly we’re all clowning around. Believe what you want! I prob got asked this question because the one thing I do feel strongly about (and make evident in my content) is that Harry is proudly queer 🏳️‍🌈. I think he’s made that clear in numerous, consistent ways over years and that bothers you then I invite you to examine why. This is why I vibe with larries and their Harry-centric content and it also helps that they appreciate all members of 1D and aren’t hateful towards them. Yes, I think Harry has slept with women and men (plural - see I am not a larrie above), but I have no interest in giving him a label beyond not straight. Please don’t send me angry anons about this - believe what you want! - my opinion should not matter to you one bit.

This isn't really helping to get clarity on the subject but I always like to view things from other angles, and I think this post shows the stunt from a GP's point of view. Since that NY kiss resurfaced from a "better angle" somewhat recently (here that is, which is... hard to watch.) let's just go there too. Looking into how a face is looking miserable or body language can all easily be misinterpreted, but I mean cmon, if that kiss doesnt trigger any fight or flight responses in you you're really not paying attention. Harry never (AFAIK) talked shit about her or crushed anyone's fantasies in any deliberate matter that he might not want much to do with her, that his songs might not be about her, or at least not in the way people would like to think, and Harry has done nothing but praise her (songwriting) whenever she was brought up (harry talking about her for 7 mins straight, he's good at these things but pay attention to what he doesn't say, how he's doing the bare minimum, how when asked about her he focuses on her songwriting instead, maybe because he doesn't have much positive to say about her as a person perhaps?), but back in the early days Louis being a subtle petty lil shit slipped through quite a lot, he was salty about it, (still sneaking in a shady comment as far as in 2015 and harry's reaction is pure gold too). Then from Taylor's side of things, I haven't paid enough attention to her, but judging from these rants she sure went places that weren't very nice a couple of times.

I think with all the songs we have now, and maybe you're not as much into trying to interpret their songs with lyrical deep dives as much as I am and think there isn't much to gain there, I think there is, and I think it all fits with this stunt happening back in 2012 absolutely destroying harry(&louis) and pushing them further into narnia, continuing to curse him for the longest time, and with that I'd say all the sad faces and little things that did slip through the cracks of the show they were all putting on back then that were picked up on by the ranters linked above, that these were indeed showing their true feelings. That they were crushed. They were miserable. They didn't want any of it. Then again from Taylor's side of things, there's a severe presense of some kind of he don't try at all tho-vendetta going on in Taylor's music, like she just can't stop just poking that ghost, just littering her 1989 album with things that can be linked to Harry, which I think more often than not are just stunt lines, just cover ups for whatever she was really dealing with, and still going at it in her latest albums, although less "look at us playing this game" and more "yeah ok that was really shit that stunt".

I'm really not sure if that answered anything. I mean if the part of "am I missing something here" was that you're missing why they were miserable, why people are pressed about this, and I need to go a little more meta and start linking why oh why why this stunt could possibly make them miserable, why closeting is horrible, maybe for that just plomp down this quote from Lance Bass who was closeted while in a boyband:

“Bottom line is what the record labels look at. They just wanna make money. And if this artist isn’t going to pull in this many fans because they are gay, they are not gonna support him this much. And I see that with so many people. It was very torturous because I didn’t want people to find out who I truly was. I thought especially in the 90s that if anyone knew I was gay that my life would be over. People would hate me, N’Sync would be over. It was a lot of pressure. You become very lonely.” - Lance Bass

as well as having to deal with how you're portrayed in the media and it not reflecting who you really are (while you're really young too) while being put under pressure not just just being busy doing promo, being away from home, but while that's all going on to be constantly on your toes not to slip up and hide not just who you really are yourself but also your relationship and seeing the one you love having to do the same added on top of it, and then getting whole new fresh layer of shit added to it when after months of that including the buildup media speculation of "haylor" actually having to go out to be seen with someone that's not the person you want to be spending your time with, even having to kiss them, while having to be physically away from the person you want to be with and they are out there doing the same, all while most likely being told and perhaps even believing that this is best for everyone, so you do it, but maybe just maybe that would make you just a tad bit unhappy.

How to spot a PR relationship?! 

This post is made for everyone who would like to learn how to spot a fake relationship in Hollywood. This information is supported by a very reliable source. The name of the source is Jack Ketsoyan, he set up two PR relationships himself. If you would try to compare this to your favourite Hollywood couple, you might be surprised of the outcome. I will make a little summary of the very important things Jack said. There is also another man who is speaking about this subject. His name is Christopher and he is a lawyer who has worked with cases like these for a long time.

So back in the day that was the biggest secret, it was a big taboo, if a certain high profiled male, the heartthrob is all of a sudden gay, they were not going to get the bigger roles anymore. They were going to be type casted, so that was the big way of hiding things. Them hiding their sexuality was dating a female who would keep them in the limelight basically and cover it up.’’  [about closeting] ‘’Times have changed, it still happens, but a lot has changed.’’ --> There are still people who would not like attending a Harry Styles (the heartthrob) concert when he comes out as gay.

Within no time the pictures have traveled through the internet. Which automatically means that a lot of people have seen it. All of this gives the label/couple/artist attention and money. --> Whether it is bad attention or good attention, attention means money.) a few examples of these couples are also: Haylor, Zigi and Elounor.

-’’To sell tickets to concerts or movies.’’ --> 1D world tours and solo tours. That is also why beards like Camille Rowe, Eleanor Calder and Maya Henry attend their concerts. As for movies think about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart (who is gay) fake dating, moments after Twilight came out. Think about 1D bringing their fake girlfriends to the world premiere and Zayn and Perrie getting engaged a second after. The purpose of these events are attention. Sweethearts, whenever people go to these shows/movies all they will focus on is 1D and their ‘girlfriends’. Photos will spread faster than ever and people will talk about how ‘real’ they are. Their aim is to kill two birds with one stone; making them look like a ‘real’ couple whilst promoting their movie/album.

Just to see what stuff they write about their fake girlfriends/boyfriends. Just to see how ‘Camille’ pronounces ‘’Coucou’’or just because Gigi Hadid starred in Zayn’s music video. Or maybe to finally know the ‘truth’ about Taylor’s fake relationships.

-’’It's all about the hype at the moment. Especially with the social media world.’’ --> I am going to point out an important thing Jack said. He said ‘’especially with the social media world.’’ Remember when there were only rumours of Louis and Eleanor being back together? The whole fandom tweeted about it. This made it popular and that was the solid moment 1D’s label knew that Elounor 2.0 would do it for them. They would earn a lot by it. The same thing counts for Zigi, Chiam, Haylor, Hamille. Hamille is a good example too. When all of you heard that Harry wrote a song about her and that her voice was going to be included in his song, what happened? Exactly, everyone went nuts and made sure to listen to that exact song. That is exactly what they want. They want that power over you, that is what gives them the money. Another example, how fast do you think solo Zayn stans and Directioners tweeted about a ‘power couple’ when the news broke that Zayn and Gigi are ‘expecting a child’? How fast did people open their social media accounts when Kylie Jenner was pregnant for the Kardashian’s 10th anniversary? (Social media does A LOT. Whenever a picture of Eleanor (beard) and Clifford (Louis’ dog) arrives on the internet, people automatically assume they are together in a room. This, is not the case. That is how convenient social media is to arranged relationships. Why start a rumour by hiring newspapers instead of posting a message on social media? It is much cheaper and more people will know about it in less than four hours.)

Promoting certain brand like Coca Cola (Elounor), YSL, Gucci, Vogue (Zigi) and Hugo Boss are also a part of it. Celebrities wearing those brands make their fans want to buy it too, think of the Kardashians promoting Adidas and other expensive brands. Also think of people like Briana Jungwirth promoting flat tummy tea. This is called ‘celebrity branding.’

Tell me, how many times do you get HQ pic of your PR couple on your phone? People tend to go out of their mind when pictures come out. That is the immediate effect Hollywood has on social media/ you. That gives them the promo they need, even during quarantine the beards post pictures of themselves, making you think they are together when in reality they are not. :)

{About why Jack hooked an arranged relationship up himself} --> ‘’It was more of a mutual agreement between the agents. {Tells a story about an actor getting bad reviews for a movie and in order to let people focus on something else they got the actor a girl, so the media would focus on the girl instead of the bad movie.}’’ -->  ‘’Just a one year deal. Basically they finished of the press and the international press and then they went their separate ways, because she did not want to do a two year deal.’’ {interviewer asks if it worked} --> ‘’It worked.’’ -->  A few examples of (approximately) a one-year deal: Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift, Niall Horan and Hailee Steinfield and Louis Tomlinson and Danielle Campbell. It is also good to point out that the beard can decide whether she wants to continue or not, but the celebrity has to do what the agent arranges.

{Interviewer asks what reasons people might have to agree to one of these PR relationships} --> Different reasons, that could be to deflect attention away from a controversy (damage control. think of something Larry or Ziam related happening and the next day Zigi and Elouno are papped. Or fans finding out Louis is in the same country as Harry and the next day they will let Elouno do a pap walk. Another example is when Ziammies find out a Zigi picture is photoshopped, the next day you will see Zigi in person. This happens when their stunts fail). So if an actor has drugs and alcohol problems they may want to give the appearance that they have settled down and are in a committed relationships so that they can banked for films. Or they are going to be able to get bonded and get work and people will trust them, because they have settled down. It also could be done to create a brand. Two celebs getting together and 'now there's this tremendous interest about them being a power couple.' [...] We create strong provision against the disclosure of any negative facts against the celebrity - with consequences. So these agreements need to be structured with a hold back of money so that over time if they have complied with the agreement and not disclosed ehh no personal information and violation the agreement then they would be entitled the payment, so under the agreement. " --> The last part might be difficult to understand, because the lawyer uses difficult words, but what he is actually saying is very important. He says if the celebrities who are in the PR relationship have done their part (parading around with each other) then they will receive their money (please correct me if I am wrong). The host also confirmed that contracts like these are the reason why a lot of celebrities do not admit they had a PR relationships.

Clues on how to spot a PR relationship:

-‘’The main clue you would see is if, you know, a certain high profiled male is dating a female (or when a high profiled female is dating a regular male), who was not high profile. All of a sudden, she is, overnight, the most talked about girl in Hollywood and everyone want a piece of them. That is the biggest thing, you know, it is such a career boost for the female that some females end up taking the deal.’’ --> Zigi, Elounor, Chiam, Brouis, Haylor, Taylor and Calvin. How does the world know Eleanor Calder? Because of Louis Tomlinson. No one knew her before, except her family. How did Gigi gain so many followers? Because she started dating Zayn Malik. Gigi already had a platform for herself, but she gained a lot of followers by dating Zayn. Zayn also gained followers by dating Gigi. Gigi needed promo and Zayn was in the spotlight, because he just ‘left 1D.’ This made him the perfect target. I hope all of you also notice that when beards/fake girlfriends post pictures of them with their fake boyfriend, it gets way more likes than their usual pictures.

{What was the benefit for the girl in the scenario?} --> ‘’Ehm, she has a huge career at the moment. She benefit from that by becoming a household name (someone that is well known) and getting bigger roles than she would have. She would use to be the 3rd or the 4th lead in any auditions or any jobs that she was getting. She then became the first lead. She got a great career boost out of it, for sure.’’ --> Gigi Hadid, Eleanor Calder, Sophia Smith, Cheryl Cole, Maya, Camille Rowe and Kendall Jenner are just a few examples.

How did the world know Townes? Because ‘Harry named’ her in one of his songs. How did the world know about Maya Henry? Because Liam Payne started dating her. Before this, she was just a fan. How did Cheryl Cole get the attention back? Because of baby gate and by fake dating Liam Payne. How did Briana gain so many followers? Because Louis Tomlinson fans gave her the attention and because she participated in faking a pregnancy. How did Shawn and Camilla become a couple in the spotlight? Because people have always shipped them, ever since the beginning and their label gave the fans what they wanted. How did Kim Kardashian become famous? A *** tape of her and Ray J leaked and she became famous. Now, she is a lot richer and more famous than he is. A quick note, not many people know how Kim Kardashian became famous. They only really know her from Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The newer generation does not know about the tape scandal, and that is what they do. You need to dig a little deeper to see that. This all is an on-going cycle and it will not stop unless we all stop believing it. 😊

  What do they do in order to make a PR relationship look real?

{Interviewer asks what the clauses in an arranged relationships contract are} --> ‘’An arranged relationship is estranged by definition. So certainly we are going to see requests that are equally odd. They are certainly going to have requirements as to how they hold themselves out to the public as a couple. This would mean appearances at award shows, parties or events together as a couple and that there would be requirements maybe for specific events.’’ --> Eleanor attending Jay’s wedding and being ‘maid of honor’, Calvin and Taylor at Award shows, Elounor at the fashions show 2013, Haylor and their NYE ‘kiss’, Zigi at the MET gala and Chiam at the Brits, celebs at after parties with their ‘girlfriends’. All of these couples have also pictures with each other’s family members. That made a lot of you think they are close and real, well my loves, now you finally know that it is all part of a PR stunt. The fake girlfriends also have to look supportive, that is why they have to be there at concerts, soccer matches, award shows etcetera. 😊

Remember when Eleanor (beard) posted a picture of herself and in the background you could see a picture of her and Louis in 2012 and ‘Louis’ written on a board? Remember when she posted a picture of herself with her and Louis’ boots in the background in 2018? All of these things are there to make it look like they truly live together and  that they truly own each other’s stuff. The same thing counts for Haylor’s airplane necklace. Do you genuinely think they did that by accident? No, that is the purpose of the whole picture. 😊

‘’Then there is going to be particularly some none disclosure issues surrounding them as to what cannot be said about the relationship and what needs to be said. There could be a script even as to what they have to say if asked about the relationships. There would be photo sessions showing them as a couple. And then I have seen issues of sexual relationships and specific whether this would happen or not happen in an agreement. But if it is truly a PR relationships then sex would not be a part of that relationship, because it is not real.’’ --> Loves, do you remember a moment when someone asked a celebrity about his/her relationships and they stuttered and looked uncomfortable, or they just said something wrong or embarrassing or tried to talk themselves out of it? Well, that happens when you have to make up stuff that never happened.  Louis Tomlinson confirmed his interviews are scripted, so this one is just an extra thick layer of confirmation. I also recall Gigi doing a live and someone asked about Zayn and she just stuttered and looked away, not knowing how to answer a question. (I think there have definitely been times when two people who were in an arranged relationship gave different answers to the same question, why? Because they do not know anything about each other.) Here is an example of a moment that is repeated and scripted about Louis’ ‘relationship’ with Eleanor, even know we have legit proof that is not what happened:

Now I can hear all your lovely brains working and thinking whether a celebrity is willing to sign a contract like that or if their label is making them sign it. Well, if you have read my previous masterpost about the music industry you can see confirmations of the label making the artist their puppet. They own you, so if they think you should have a girlfriend to hide gay rumours then they will give you one. ‘A label cannot force you anything’, but it does make you sign a contract. When you sign the contract without reading it carefully, then your label will mess you up. In those contracts they do not write ‘’Taylor Swift has to agree to arranged relationships.’’ They write stuff like ‘’When signing the contract, Taylor Swift allows the label to make changes in order to get her to fame.’’ Of course Taylor (and other artists) would think that they mean changing her outfit and looks, but no. The label thinks being gay is something that will not get people enough fame. So what do they do? They change her, they change her sexuality. They closet her and even though Taylor and other LGBTQ artists do not want that. You cannot deny because when you do so, the label will show you the contract you signed. A contract like that is never written literally, they can manipulate their words. To the label ‘’being gay or a part of the LGBTQ+ community’’ falls under ‘’making changes’’ in order to make her famous. Of course there are celebrities who willingly closet themselves for various reasons. I hope to create a single post about how devious these contracts are for you all! 😊

Here are a few things I hope you have learned from this: 😊

 - Fake relationships still exist and they will always exist. It has been confirmed, so no one can deny this anymore.

 - The girl and boy have to go to special events, such as award shows, family dinners and weddings in order to make it look real.

 - Homophobia is still a thing and the biggest reason why arranged relationships exist.

 - The beard has a contract too, so your idol has no say in how long she can or cannot stay. If she does good then she will stay. (I see many people say that Louis chose Eleanor because they are friends and that is why she is back, but he actually has no say in anything. Your idol is their product to sell. Your idol is basically a marionette.)

 -The PR team does everything to make it look like they are truly together, think of photos of each other in each other’s homes and ‘personal gifts.’

 -Celebrities get an enormous boost on their social media accounts when they start being part of an arranged relationship. Something I have always thought was a bit odd, is the fact that Eleanor never created an insta account until her and Louis’ ‘relationship’ had its peak; in the middle of June 2012. When in reality, insta was created in 2010. She also created twitter in 2012. Exactly when the first few big events were attended by them. (I genuinely think she did that, because everyone wanted to see more of her. Plus, she has always wanted to be a fashion blogger and this was her ‘big moment’ to do so.)

debunking the boys

there’s a few men that come through and “interfere” with swiftgron.  since i generally believe both of the girls are bi (mostly...sometimes i do get on my lesbian dianna shit) debunking the men they “dated” while swiftgron was a thing, i suppose, is a worthwhile enough exercise as anything i do here.

taylor is easy enough she was only linked to two guys during swiftgron:

1.  harry

i am fully of the opinion that harry was dating nick grimshaw (sorry to my larry oomfs) during swiftgron/haylor due to tea i’ve heard from someone who works in the uk music industry as well as the very clear gryles timeline laid out here

haylor in general is a mess beyond just gryles.

taylor tried to pin ikywt on him even though she wrote it months before she met him.

she also very weirdly had “a friend” (so her publicist) fill in the gaps in their timeline because haylor was such a mess and people didn’t understand why she was publicly dragging this teenager so badly after they “broke up”, in which she claimed he pursued her for a year before she gave him a chance in spring of 2012, which ofc negates her own narrative that they only met at the kid’s choice awards in spring 2012.

she also claims he then pursued her all through the summer of 2012.  meanwhile, over in reality, harry was spotted leaving nick’s apartment in the morning about 50 times and not only that, the press was shipping him with every woman he met that summer here, here, and here (i think these were either attempts to cover up gryles or he wasn’t exclusive with nick while on tour but either way the one thing he wasn’t doing was pursuing taylor)

harry’s publicist actually denied that he chased after her at all 😭

meanwhile dianna showed up on about 90% of haylor’s dates you know just normal bff shit.

2.  conor 

i don’t get that pressed over conor because i believe swiftgron was on an official break while dianna went to france to film the family due to the timing of taylor writing This Love (in october a couple weeks after taylor and dianna reunited in paris in early october)

conor is not considered an important muse and taylor herself seems to almost want to let us know that by sneaking the i into the “hyiannis port” into the ehc liner note and lazily pinning museship to a song she wrote and recorded before she had even met him

but if you want conor debunked it’s easy enough - his older cousin joe kennedy iii was running for congress in massachusetts in 2012 and i think it’s fair to at least consider that they had taylor date a kennedy to up name recognition amongst a younger crowd that wasn’t as explicitly aware of the kennedy name as the average older voter.  meanwhile taylor got a proper (green-eyed) muse for red.

taylor writing everything has changed in may 2012, months before she met conor, while he was 17 should certainly raise everyone’s eyebrows.

on to dianna:

1.  sebastian stan

dianna supposedly dated sebastian stan from late summer 2011 to february 2012.  he doesn’t actually interfere with swiftgron since i believe they got together officially at the end of february, but he’s easy enough to find a pr motive for.  i’ve heard tea from industry folks that he was indeed just a pr set up that was implemented to give seb a popularity boost with a teeny bopper audience as he had a minor role on gossip girl which was the same vibe as glee in terms of a teenaged fanbase.  

more importantly dianna needed a boyfriend and fast after she basically outed herself by wearing a shirt that said ‘likes girls’ on the glee live tour in june 2011.  all around a good example of a fake romance to elevate the profiles of the participants and cover up someone’s sexuality.

2.  henry joost

as far as we know henry and dianna went on two dates.  one before the 2012 glaad awards and one right after it.  given that dianna was hosting it makes sense that they would want to have her linked with a guy since her name would be making all sorts of headlines linked to gay shit.

indeed all the articles that came out about the glaad awards and her hosting them mentioned that’d she’d recently been spotted with him!

she and henry purposely lined up outside the venue when they attended a concert together with other fans and dianna signed autographs making certain they were spotted when they easily could have afforded private accomodations at the show.

3.  christian cooke

dianna and christian supposedly dated from fall 2012 - spring 2013. they were spotted together four or five times.  christian is another small time actor and he seems gay but who knows about all that.

what i do know is that he played gay in a film that came out late summer 2012 and he seemed anxious to nohomo the whole thing when he gave interviews about the matter.

it’s fair to assume he may have wanted a public girlfriend to negate any resulting gay rumors that cropped up from his performance.  he hasn’t really had any other public girlfriends since dianna (nor did he have one before).  since dianna was still involved with taylor in my opinion, which she of course had every reason to hide, it’s also fair to say she would have mutually benefitted from a promance with christian.

furthermore, dianna and christian were both reportedly in talks to be in 50 shades opposite one another so a promance would have been a great way to up their chances of being cast

and there you have it!
