Okay the main reason that you should read Infinity Inc. Do you like cute college students who are fun together? Do you like found family? Do you like your favorite characters being friends forever and nothing bad happening to them at all?

Different anon here, but the asks about F!MC thinking Hayden was into boys, made me think of my female school friend and her gay bbf, they did everything together, like only one free changing room into the clothing store? No problem they changed together etc And just now I pictured MC casually stripping naked/changing clothes in front of Hayden (happy that finally MC understood their flirtation), when, like in the demo, Kory comes in, sees the scene, and makes some siggestive comments, and MC is "what are you talking about? ok guys why do we have to ruin people’s fun🤗 we go slightly (maybe more to you idk but i didn’t think it was that bad) out of character and it’s the end of the world. not to mention, i feel like half of the people complaining about it don’t even frequently interact or don’t interact at all. i’ve also seen that a lot of the people complaining as well, are the same people who constantly talk about how badly the rp accounts ruined the hayden christensen community and you wanted them gone. why does it bother you if you don’t even want these accounts up in the first place. but if it bothers you SO MUCH there are multiples of each account so it’s extremely easy to find a new one to interact with. at the end of the day it was funny & boys will be boys so who’s to say none of them would do what we did :-/. but you kinda act like we changed our names to “stephen but gay” or something. no it wasn’t even THAT bad. now accounts are shifting back to being boring and unfunny and eventually you’ll go and complain about them being boring. you ask for too much, and this isn’t targeted but it’s the truth. you want too much from a person who lives a real life and wants to come here for reality escapes and/or to have fun. personally i don’t think i’ll change much about my account but with other people changing theirs i might have no choice because i don’t have anything to do. not to say i didn’t like my account before, but it was kind of boring and i got to meet new people doing cross overs using these hayden christensen rp accounts. you are simply miserable and boring if you can’t let people have fun, especially when half of the complaints i’ve seen are people who don’t even hardly go on these accounts. who’s to say people wont start to quit these accounts because you’ve made them unfun. what next? you going to complain because they’re all gone. it’s ridiculous.

I’m a freaking fierce Sterek apologist and most of the time I could bite anyone who tell that Stiles is with anyone else but Derek…BUT SOMETIMES I have this creeping Idea that the Hale pack ( like what should be the Hale pack with everyone alive) is just a big polymorous polycule that’s had everyone,aside of their own couples and trouples, just revolved around Stiles, because he is everyone crush! Well not EVERYBODY is actually romantically attracted to Stiles but at least one person of each polycule is (almost).

Last year of high school students and professors where now quite used to the strange dynamics of a very specific groupe of student.

First it was the two power hetero couples : Lydia and Aiden, the couple looked perfect, like greeks statues and they were fierce and the archetype of high school’s couples.

You also had Erica and Boyd, the two had made talk at first because how Erica bombshel Reyes could be with Vernon Stoic Boyd? But soon enough people had seen that their was something in this couple that made total sense and that they were actually quite a good fit for each other.

Secondly you had the polycules: the « sweet square » , as they been called by Beacon Hills high’s student because it was just all of the cute student of the whole high school,composed of Allison, Kira, Scott and Isaac. Not everyone understood how they fit in the polycule, who was with who? Until they discovered that everyone loved everyone and that it was working perfectly. They were blinding people with the happiness and cuteness radiating from them each time someone saw them all together cuddling.

On the other hand existed the « holy triangle », Jackson, Ethan and Danny. The trouple had Ethan at the center of their romantic relationship (even if it never stop Jackson and Danny to hook up sometimes). The three of then always made girls squeaked when they walk the halls either because they were the sexiest boys or because they were like fanfiction’s materials.

Thirdly you had the two classic (not totally) gay couples: Mason and Corey where the absolutely cutest couple. Always smiling, always sweet with each other. A total cute puppy love. Almost an anomaly in this groupe of weirdos.

Next to them you had the chaotic couple Liam and Theo. Always bickering, always throwing insults to each other or sometimes litteraly fighting with their fist but beware the fool who allow himself to insult one of them, the other would distroy the impudent!

Fourthly you had the free spirits, the free electrons: Malia who still had some difficulties to keep with human ways and who was hooking up with mostly Scott and Parrish, Cora who loved peoples but couldn’t stay with just one person because it was to much for her at this point she was mostly hooking up with Lydia or sometimes Isaac, Hayden was not always here since she had moved from town with her sister she would have this relationship with Liam but everyone knew that she had a boyfriend back home

So everyone in high school or even in Beacon Hills was used to those dynamics but the thing that was difficult to understand was: How does Stiles Stilinski fit into all of this?

It was usual to see Lydia took suddenly Stiles arm and kiss him unashamedly in the middle of the hall, staying the day with him will Aiden was doing his little life with his friends or even gave a friendly pat in Stiles’ back. People who walk through the hall would often cross Erika pulling him into a full mouth kiss, her against the lockers him pull against her. Then she would hold his hand possessively, sometimes Boyd would hold the other hand of the sheriff son other time he would hold Erica’s. During Lacrosse practice Isaac would be stuck against Stiles sometimes holding him from behind his head on his shoulder and kissing softly his cheek while whispering in his ear making him blush. Allison would sometimes kiss him in the corner of his mouth as she walk past him as they went from one class to another (it was more of a platonic love then a real relationship for them) Scott was the puppy who would pass days following his best friend around, Kira would give him hugs and soft kisses on his cheeks because the boy became her bestfriend . Sometimes Jackson could be seen in the boys’ lockers, his forearm near the brunette head Stiles’ back against his own locker both of them kissing in a kind of hungry aggressive way, Danny would flirt with him just to tease him and Ethan would eat alone with Stiles to take some advice on how to handle being in a throuple with two bestfriends. Mason, Corey and Liam were like the three puppies that Stiles protected, it was a kind of mother/son love in their case. If they were in need of advice or just wanted to have someone to confort them they would run straight to him. And when they will do something stupid or dangerous he will just yell or give them the biggest sarcastic answers possible. Stiles was a caring guy yes but he was also the biggest bitchy person in this town. But you could see that Liam had like this monumental crush on Stiles, People in town would saw Theo and Stiles argue violently at the coffee shop and ten minute after that they would make out in the dark alley next said coffee shop, kind of the same love/hate relationship as the one with Jackson but more chaotic because who knew that Jackson Whittemore would be a softie sometimes. Malia would suddenly kiss Stiles in the hall of the school or in town and just walk away like it was just a normal thing to do, Stiles would walk away the same with a « hey Malia », the Stilinski’s neighbor would see her crawl to Stiles’ window every now and then but their relationship is more healthy now. Cora as a Hale would so exactly the same climbing to the window, to have some cuddles party or more sometimes but their relationship was softer than anyone could have thought, it was little hands brushing in the halls, little kiss on the cheeks when they are out. Stiles is litteraly like Catnip for the Hales. Hayden was pretty much in the same relationship with Stiles than Corey and Mason, he was like a bitchy mom and would call her anytime he could to check on her.

But everyone could swear that the eighteenth boy had someone that could be called a boyfriend. A black camaro was often park in frond of the school, with Derek Hale waiting for Stiles. Said young man would run to him to through himself at his neck and kiss him like they where separated for months. And the majority of the time the older one would throw hard threatening looks to anyone coming near his boyfriend , some people could swear that they heard him growl like a big dog.

Slowly one new unexpected couple had appeared in town: Peter Hale and Chris Argent. The two where like fire and ice and still they seem to be madly in love with each other in their strange way.

And when Stiles get to his 25 yo those two familiar faces where add to the pictures. Peter Hale seems to have a deep relationship with his nephew's boyfriend. Yes it was weird for the people outside because really, the four remaining Hale?! The sheriff’s son was really this attractive for them?! They would go to library or debate coffee. They would talk quite happily about things that the mundane couldn’t understand. And the man would walk with his hand on the small of Stiles’ back or arms in arms. Peter would kiss Stiles’ head tenderly. Sometimes Chris Argent was with them. His hand between Stiles' shoulder blades. It was more platonic but the man would throw death glare everytime someone would laugh at the three or them or when someone would bump hard on Stiles in the street.

And everybody whispered questions like: Does the sheriff know about what his son is up to? Do they are a kind of cult and Stiles is the guru? How doeos Stiles can hide to his clearly really possessive boyfriend (cause those hickeys and bite marks on his neck could only be his) the fact that he have relationships with so many people?

One Day as Stiles and the whole pack (the sheriff and Melissa included) where celebrating Stiles' Birthday at the Jungle, because where this many people could fit in this town exept for this club, plus Danny knew the boss well, a foolish young man came to dance with Stiles. His body against the his back, touching his hips and trying to hit on him, he thought that this pretty boy belong to a lot of people so why not him. And that's when all of Beacon Hills’ citizens would know that Derek knew quite well that his mate had relationship with other pack’s members. But he didn’t mind as soon as some rules where followed. And this guy didn't seemed to listen when Stiles tried to push him off and didn't follow the rule one : Be a pack member. The Alpha werewolf leaped to them and pushed the guy away like he weight nothing, snarling and growling at him as he pulled Stiles against him. Soon all the others would come to protect their pack mom, each of them brushing against Stiles back or arms to get rid of the stranger's smell on him. Stiles easily made them calm down. Melissa, Noah and Chris would look at this display of possessiveness with shaking heads and laughs.

And people learned since this: Stiles Stilinski was not just a horny guy who would make out with anybody in the back of his boyfriend. He was in a real poliamourous dynamic (And maybe a cult, really they where all living in the Hale house for a few years now, totally a cult).

This night, after the party Derek would write on his laptop the rules that people had to follow if they wanted to apply for a place in the policul.

i've had the house to myself this weekend so i decided to marathon a bunch of movies that have been on my watchlist for aaages. here they are ranked bc i love making lists lmao:

Game Night: this one was far and away my favorite...it's a fun, clever mystery that's also funny as shit. rachel mcadams is the queen of comedy and also waving a loaded gun around like a crazy person. fuckin 10/10, you guys

I Love You Phillip Morris: listen. i avoid jim carrey like the plague - it's nothing personal, his face just irritates the shit out of me. but i'm SO glad i gave this one a try anyway...it was so cute and touching and gay little ewan mcgregor with his gay little earring is genuinely the softest, sweetest thing to ever exist. it makes complete sense that someone would become a conman for him lmao. 10/10

Bullet Train: thee action comedy lbr!! shoutout to @seeinhindsight for reccing this one to me. it was so well done...with all the winding storylines and running gags it easily could have been a tonal mess, but i feel like they knocked it outta the park. also the steady stream of "oh shit this guy's in it too???" was fun as hell. 9/10 just bc some parts made me sad and my movie ratings are based solely on how they Make Me Feel, not any objectivity lol

Attack The Block: my brain the whole time: YEAH BOY(EGA)!!!! an alien invasion movie with a Message and pre-star wars john boyega?? that was always gonna be a slam dunk for me. though i do gotta say watching british movies as an american is always jarring as hell bc there's no guns. it feels like the weirdest kind of unreality. anyways 8/10

This Is Where I Leave You: slowing things down and getting way more Serious here but i was surprised by how much i liked this one (though maybe i shouldn't have been, since dysfunctional families/siblings are kinda my bread and butter lmao). the surprise lesbianism-slash-lowkey-polyamory definitely elevated it, too! 7/10

Shattered Glass: 100% the movie you gotta show people when they try to say hayden christensen sucks at his job bc uhhh he ate that shit up. not to be #me about it, but if that dude can be that fucking cute the whole time and still make me wanna throttle him within an inch of his life, you know he was doing something right. 6/10

As Above, So Below: i was bummed at first when i realized it was one of those found footage horror dealios, but i actually ended up really liking it. and honestly for the setting, i think found footage really was the only way to go. the concept was super interesting and the horror aspects were sufficiently creepy without being enough to give me nightmares, which is about all my babyass can handle. 6/10

Everybody Wants Some!!: yeah the hoechlin 80's movie lol. it was fun! the characters were likable for the most part! the vibes were good! but B's cannot live on vibes alone (that's a bible verse, i'm p sure) so i was left wondering what the Point was. i am not the target audience for hangout movies, i'll tell you that lmao. 3.5/10

I love thinking about Vincent!!! He's one of my favorite guys to think about!!! Here's a few headcanons regarding one of my favorite little guys!!

* Vincent really likes spicy food. This was the truth before he became a shadow knight, and was only amplified afterwards. I'm serious you know that one friend who brags about eating a Carolina Reaper one time? That's a weaker version of Vincent, he will pick the spiciest pepper Ru'aun has to offer off the tree and eat it whole like it is nothing

* His favorite past time is fucking with Cadenza. She understands quite a bit about Shadow Knights and how odd they can be, but Vincent really turns it up to 11 and is just as weird as possible around her. He was weird as hell before he got raised into undeath, the necromancy only made him worse.

* I once described Vylad as the type of mf to talk to you about a niche subject for ten minutes only to admit that was all lies, and Vincent is very similar. He loves telling Cadenza random facts and she responds "Is that real??" And his response is usually a shrug and a "Could be." much to her chagrin.

* Vincent and Cadenza first met about two years after everyone disappeared, purely by chance as it were. Cadenza was in O'Khasis to inform the Lord there that her father had fallen and she would be taking his place. While she was there she stopped at a bar to drink her worries away, where she met Vincent. Vincent had actually met Lord Hayden once before, and while he didn't take a particular liking to him, something about Cadenza stood out

* In an attempt to get to know her he offered to buy her a few drinks. As a result, Cadenza drank him under the table and the two spilled secrets to each other over the empty bar almost the entire night.

* It was the most fun Vincent had in over a decade.

* Vincent is a musician, he's literally been alive for 100 years of course he's a musician. But not any ordinary musical instrument, no, this man has to be different. He has to be unique. He plays the Zither, this weird fucking string instrument I found on Wikipedia!

* Vincent could not teach you how to play this thing. He learned it so long ago that he is running purely on muscle memory whenever he whips out this bad boy

* He also doesn't really read sheet music anymore, mostly because it can be really hard to come by. He's much more of a play by ear kinda guy.

* Just as Cadenza used to dance to Laurance's songs, Vincent learned to play for Cadenza when she was getting too stressed and needed something to pull her away from work for a bit. A good song usually works.

* It was also Vincent that helped her with her first designs of combining fashion and armor

* Overall Vincent and Cadenza bounce ideas off of each other quite often, sometimes literally as they toss around balled up pieces of paper to one another on long nights, and would likely refer to one another as muses

* We fools would classify it best as queerplatonic besties

* This does mean people have thought they were dating, but that's never been the case

* Vincent is gay as hell

* There's kind of an otherworldliness that people can pick up from Vincent. Nothing distinct, nothing they can put a finger on, but the vibes are just... Not off, but a little to the left.

* I know these don't exist in Ru'aun, but if you pointed a Geiger counter at Vincent it would show him as slightly radioactive

What r ur ocs like!

OHHHHH boy the problem with my ocs is that the story i have for them is really big and unnecessarily complicated so it makes it hard to talk about them rip. ive actually been planning on trying to update their designs (since i haven't drawn most of them in years) and explain the story more yknow. i actually do have recent drawings of my two favorite ocs that i haven't shared yet though so i suppose now is the time to do it

this is wyatt! he is definitely my favorite oc. he's 25, saudi, and a cis gnc gay man. he's 5'2 and is incredibly cute. he's the epitome of the >:3 face and can be mean at times, but is very soft with his boyfriend. he has a tragique past with an abusive father and has some pretty gnarly ptsd. he died once (he's okay now though) by drowning so he's afraid of water. he can see dead people which is fun. his role in the story is a bit of reverse grim reaper, he has the power to bring people back to life, although maintains the reaper aesthetic. he has a big knife and if he pierces a dead person they'll be revived, but if it pierces a living person they'll dissolve into dust and not even their spirit remains. he has powers like being able to float, go through walls, teleport short distances etc. some danny phantom shit.

this is hayden, wyatt's boyfriend. he's a gay trans man, 26 years old, 6'0, indian. he's an engineer and kind of a genius, taught himself calculus kinda shit. he has electric-adjacent powers (purple lightning!) and his role is that of an electrical engineer, performing maintenance on the power structures to keep everyone's powers working. he's also an inventor and has a steampunk-esque workshop where he builds a bunch of cool shit. he used to have an identical twin sister but she kiiiinda died when they were 14 and he has conflicting feelings about it because she wasn't exactly the best person to him. everyone in this story can shapeshift (albeit slowly over time) so he had a nice easy time transitioning. he lifts weight to cope with depression (and so he can pick up his boyfriend, the most importantest reason)

he and wyatt met when they were 15 and 16 and theyre very much in love. maybe a little codependent but shhhhh it's okay the environment they're in kinda calls for it. when wyatt was young he would see the fairytales where a princess would be rescued by a knight or prince and he wished one would save him from his abuse as well (alongside wishing that boys could be princesses, his journey from growing up in an extremely toxically (is that a word even??) house to accepting that he's allowed to like boys and be feminine was a hard one) and hayden was kinda like that dream come true! it was also fun bc hayden was able to give wyatt all his girl stuff from before he transitioned to give it a spin. hayden also really enjoys having a boyfriend thats smaller and daintier than him, makes him feel more masculine. over all they are incredibly in love and i'm obsessed with them and they occupy my thoughts a lot. i'm so sad bc i don't have a recent drawing of them, the last finished drawing i have of them together is from 2019 wtf 😭

🔪 EJ09 Big Murder Essay or Whatever

Ethereal Justice 2009 is a supernatural horror/2000s period piece about very sad Canadian teenagers. It’s also a murder mystery, so in this essay I’ll be walking us through the main suspects and a few theories as to who murdered Freddie, our victim. Since the webcomic has a huge cast of characters to keep track of, I’ll be going over each character and their locations at the time of the murder (don’t worry I also drew a map). The information I’ve gathered comes from the webcomic itself as well as the accompanying fictional blogs run by the characters. The accompanying images were all drawn by the comic's author, Kyontara, unless stated otherwise. Without further ado, let’s get into it!

The murder took place at a birthday party. I’ll be discussing each character in the order they arrive at the party. Aside from Freddie, of course, who will go first to set the scene...

FREDDIE VAN DIJK, 18yrs

He’s the one who died. Freddie likes dogs and his boyfriend Nathan. He moved from Holland to Canada as a young teen, and he speaks both Dutch and English. He is notably allergic to gluten, and (according to his boyfriend) he never drank alcohol. Seems like he was a nice, friendly guy.

At some point during Amy Chettel’s party, he died. His body was found by Nathan the morning after the party, lying face-down in Amy’s backyard. He had a traumatic injury to his head, and according to the police report his blood-alcohol content was very high. Officially, his death is recorded as an accident ie: he fell from the second floor of Amy’s house because he was being drunk and stupid. Nathan does not believe this.

AMY CHETTEL, 18yrs

The birthday girl and valedictorian of her soon-to-be graduating class. Amy is throwing the lamest house party ever; she’s not serving alcohol, and no one is allowed to go upstairs. (lol) She’s bookish and very into Canadian politics (she’s a democrat). Seems friendly, and a bit stressed out. Doesn’t seem like the type to typically go around breaking girls’ spines.

She works at the library with her friend Nathan, and they seem to be gossip buddies. She knows most of the other kids in her class, since she invited them all to her house. At the start of the comic, Amy is dating Stacey Hayden. Although she cares about Stacey, she feels they’ve been distant lately. 

It can be assumed that Amy arrived first, since the party is at her house. She spends most of her time downstairs mingling with guests, but she ends the night upstairs.

TOBY ELLISON, 18yrs

Toby is a cool girl. She’s chill, level-headed. She’s fashionable and she likes rock music. She makes her own earrings. She’s great friends with Leah and knows the rest of Leah’s squad by proxy. She is protective of her younger cousin, Lucas, often checking up on him. She also has a crush on Kenji, and the two start dating a few weeks after the party.

It’s unclear when exactly she arrived at Amy’s party, but she is already there and hanging out with Kenji when the comic starts. Later in the night, she leaves early to get snacks with Leah and Stevie. 

KENJI KOBAYASHI, ??yrs

At the moment, we don’t know a lot about Kenji. He’s vegan. Sometime after the party, he starts dating Toby. He doesn’t have his own blog (yet?), but he leaves comments on other character’s blogs, particularly Toby and Lucas’. Seems to bridge the gap between the cool kids and the weirdos.

Like Toby, he is already at the party when the comic starts. We don’t know when he left. Early in the night, he’s hanging out with Toby. He doesn’t go with Toby, Leah, and Stevie though.

NATHAN RAMACHANDRAN, 18yrs

Mean gay boy in a sweater. He’s a preppy nerd like Amy, but he’s a bit “cooler” too. He has a temper and often gets into fights with other kids, both verbal and physical. He’s also a boxer. Nathan seems to regard most people with disdain, aside from the few friends he is close to and trusts. He loves his boyfriend to bits. He has tourettes, poliosis, and he’s colorblind.

At the start of the comic, he’s already at the party making out with Freddie. The boys are together for most of the party, until just after Stacey arrives, when Nathan goes outside to smoke weed with Leah and Stevie. He doesn’t leave with them, though. He crashes on Amy’s couch and wakes up still there the next day. Shortly after waking up, he sees his boyfriend’s dead body through the window. This greatly affects him. In later comic pages, he is seen with bags under his eyes and unkempt hair. He’s desperate to find out what really happened to Freddie.

Nathan is a complicated guy. The Duality of Nathan is strong. Not to completely switch gears, but he’s also a huge bully. In particular, he seems to target Sammy and Ben. He’s gotten into physical altercations with Sammy and injured him pretty bad. He also cyberbullies Ben. Every interaction Nathan has with Ben online involves him making fun of Ben for being gay, or refusing to admit that he’s gay. He even collaborated with Leah to write an NSFW fanfiction about Sammy and Ben. Like. This shit is just mean.

LEAH BAILEY-SANCHEZ, 18yrs

Super cute girl, really into fashion and gossip. A little trashy. Fun. Rich. She’s been dating Stevie for a long time, and she often spends whole days at his house. She’s trans, and her home life has been rough since she came out, so it seems she rarely goes home. Besties with Nathan. Her, Stevie, Nathan, and Freddie seem to form a group. Leah is also good friends with Toby and Stacey, though. Leah used to be friends with Sammy, until they creeped her out majorly, and now she thinks he’s gross. Along with Nathan, she cyberbullies Ben so bad that he stopped using his blog altogether.

It’s not clear when Leah arrived at the party, but she was there before Stacey. After cake time, she’s seen getting high on the porch with Stevie and Nathan. She also leaves to go get snacks with Toby and Stevie.

STEVIE CARTER, 19yrs

Stevie is a stoner and he likes horror movies and baggy t-shirts. He is a year older than most of the cast and graduated one year before them. He seems like a loyal friend, but a bit spacey. He and Leah have been dating for a long time, and she sleeps at his house often. Stevie is trans (they’re T4T), and he’s had top surgery. Sammy has long-standing beef with him over Leah, but if Stevie cares he doesn’t show it. Really, really chill guy.

It is not clear when he arrived at the party, but he was there before Stacey. After having cake, he and Leah smoke weed on the porch with Nathan. He leaves with Leah and Toby to get snacks.

BENJAMIN ANTONI COX, 18yrs

He listens to The Smiths. Ben likes horses a lot and is a fan of the show Heartland, a drama series about farmers with problems. His favorite character is Storm, a horse. He speaks Polish and English. It seems his parents are Polish immigrants, and they only speak Polish. His family is also devoutly religious, and he enthusiastically advertises for the local christian church on his blog. Ben is always pictured with a cross necklace; he even wears it to sleep.

I’m not sure what the situation is with the church or the rest of his family, and I suspect it’s not great, but Ben himself is at least civil towards other queer kids at his school. He acknowledges that Nathan and Freddie were dating (refers to them as “lovers”) and offers his condolences to Nathan after Freddie’s death. Still, it seems like he’s dealing with internalized homophobia about his own crush on Sammy. We’ll put a pin in that.

He’s church buddies with Sammy and seemingly good friends with his sister Anna as well, although he is relentlessly bullied by other students in his class for being an obviously gay closeted church boy.

Ben arrives at Amy's house after most of the other guests have gotten there, but he's on time for cake, and also there before Stacey and Lucas. He’s with Anna and Sammy. The group splits up for some time, but Ben and Sammy eventually meet up again and go to the upstairs bathroom. Putting several pins in this.

SAMMY NGUYEN, 18yrs

Scene boy xtreme. He owns a gir hoodie. He :3. He likes hatsune miku, anime, and waffles. He is autistic and has a verbal stim where he says “nyem” often at the end of his sentences. I won’t pretend he’s not my favorite character. He is a digital artist, and he drew Amy an anime portrait for her birthday. He has cosplayed before and has an interest in crossdressing (notably talks about cosplaying Konata and Kagami from Lucky Star). He watches hentai, owns a figurine of a Gainax bunnygirl, and sometimes he makes weirdly sexual remarks about himself. Don’t know if he’s joking or not.

Sammy is close friends with (and probably has a crush on) Ben. He’s also friends with Lucas and Anna. At one point, he was friends with Leah, until he asked if she wanted to make out with him and was subsequently never invited to her house again. He is bullied at school for being an annoying weirdo, and when I say he’s bullied I mean he’s getting beat up. By Nathan.

Sammy arrives at the party with Ben and Anna. He spends a few hours shilling out his commissions, but no one buys art from him. He hangs out with Ben, and sometime later the two of them wind up alone in the upstairs bathroom doing exactly what you think they’re doing. I’ll get back to this part. Just wait.

ANNA COX, ??yrs

She’s Ben’s sister. She wears a kitty hat. Seems to hang out with Ben and Sammy often. That is all we know about her at the moment. 

She arrives at the party with Ben and Sammy. But at some point she becomes separated from them, and I don’t know where she goes after that.

STACEY HAYDEN, 17yrs

Moody goth. Supremely pissed off at their mom for fucking off to Vancouver and at their dad for being useless at home and transphobic. They also have an older brother who is away at college. They’re basically having a difficult time at home and goin’ through a depressive episode. They often feel that they aren’t able to meet their girlfriend Amy’s expectations, which has led them to resent her. They are also (childhood?) friends with Lucas Katz, and enemies with Nathan.

Stacey’s dad claims he’s too busy to drive them, so Stacey and Lucas have to walk to Amy’s party. They arrive late, after the cake has already been served. They’re the last guests to be shown arriving.

 After an altercation where Amy asks why Stacey has been so distant lately, Stacey winds up crying in the upstairs bedroom with Lucas comforting them. Lucas consoles them and does that really dweeby niceguy thing where he’s like “ohh I’m sorry, you’re so beautiful and you don’t deserve it ohhhif I w as your boyfriend I’d treat you better..…” And Stacey, feeling impulsive and validated for the first time that night, kisses him.

At the same time, Amy is in the kitchen talking with Lola. She hears a THUD from upstairs and, seeing as how there aren’t supposed to be any guests upstairs, she goes to investigate. She walks in on Stacey cheating on her with Lucas, and she’s so mad. She tells them to get out NOW. Stacey is like “Yeah okay fine but first I gotta pee” and has the audacity to use the bathroom before leaving. On their way out, they call Amy a bitch. Amy snaps and pushes Stacey down the stairs, breaking their spine.

I assume? The party ended shortly after this, since they probably needed to call an ambulance for Stacey.

LUCAS KATZ, 17yrs

A shy nerd and gamer. And I do not like him. He keeps to himself, but he is friends with Stacey and Sammy. Toby Ellison is his older cousin, and they have a friendly relationship too. The most notable thing about his character so far is that he has a massive crush on Stacey and has been hopelessly pursuing them for years. He helped Stacey cheat on their girlfriend at the party. Wow, what a cool guy. :|

When he first arrives, Toby invites him to go grab snacks with her squad, but he turns her down and goes to comfort Stacey upstairs. For the majority of his time at the party, he’s in the bedroom with Stacey. I suppose we don’t know this for sure, but he probably left soon after Stacey took their fall. 

In later updates, it is revealed that he and Stacey are now dating. He visits Stacey in the hospital often and they watch anime together. Stacey’s cheating and spine-breakage were overshadowed by Freddie fucking dying, so most of the kids don’t realize that he and Stacey are cheaters. The only ones who seem to know are Amy and Nathan.

ALRIGHT SO ABOUT THOSE PINS. I haven’t explained how Sammy and Ben left the party yet. Well! As previously mentioned, there was a THUD upstairs. Amy hears it from the first floor, and Stacey and Lucas hear it coming from the room next to them. The room next to them was the bathroom, where Sammy and Ben were. A few minutes later, when Stacey opens the door to the bathroom, Ben and Sammy walk out quickly without saying a word. Presumably, they leave after this. That’s weird! Pause, we’ll get back to this later!

First, there are a few more characters of importance to review. Most of these are minor characters without much info, but they were guests at the party so I’m documenting them for the sake of being thorough.

LOLA HOFFMAN ??yrs

She’s Amy’s best friend. So far, she has only appeared in one page of the comic. At the party, she urges Amy to break up with Stacey, saying that Stacey doesn’t “compare to your [Amy’s] level”.

It is unclear when exactly she arrived at the party, or when she left. It can be assumed that she arrived in time for cake and before Stacey and Lucas.

JAKEY BOUCHARD, ??yrs 

A freshman who’s antics are frequently gossiped about by the older characters. He seems like a silly guy. Leah definitely hit him with her car that one time.

At the start of the comic, he is already at the party precariously stacking a box of oreos atop a tower of red solo cups. No idea where he goes after this.

ADAM HORTON, ??yrs

He was at the party, pictured next to Jakey, Toby, and Kenji. That is all we know about this character at the moment. He is probably Angel’s brother?

ANGEL HORTON, ??yrs

She was at the party. She finds Lucas to tell him that Stacey needs him upstairs. She is probably Adam’s sister? That’s all we know.

WOLF SCOTT, ??yrs

GREGORY SANCHEZ, ??yrs

A pair of scene kids who were also at the party. They’re dating. That’s all we know.

There are also a few other characters who weren’t in attendance at the party, but they are important to the overall plot and worth mentioning so that we fully understand the world in which this story is set.

ANDREW HAYDEN, 20yrs

Andrew is Stacey’s older brother, who is allegedly away at college. At this time, Andrew has not made an appearance in the comic, and the only information about him can be found through his blog. He seems to really like plants, and he might be a business major. He notably misgenders Stacey several times on his blog and uses their deadname.

The most interesting thing about Andy’s blog is his interactions with a mysterious user named Werd. It seems like Werd has been harassing Andy for some time.

WERD, !?

This is the pseudonym of the user who runs the DEADBRAIN191919 blog. It is very likely that Werd is the alter ego of someone in the cast, we just don’t know who yet. They’re very Jeff the Killer. They go on indecipherable rants on their blog, and they are obsessed with Andrew. So far, Werd has only interacted with Andrew and Lucas. They only have one online friend (and it’s probably Andrew). (Unless it’s Freddie and their friend-count is gonna go up every time someone dies. Only time will tell.) They’re weird. They had something to do with Freddie’s murder (probably), but at this time it’s unclear what they did or who they really are.

THE DEMONS

There are also some demons in this comic, but they weren’t at the party and I really don’t think any of them were the murderer so I am not gonna get into it. For now, just know that hell is real, and supernatural happenings are certainly afoot.

OKAY SO now that we’ve been over all our main suspects, we can put together our timeline. Freddie was with Nathan for most of the party, up until cake was served. After this, the boys separated and Nathan went to smoke weed on the porch with Leah and Stevie. According to Nathan, cake was served between 8-8:30pm and he was outside without Freddie by 8:30pm. Stacey and Lucas also arrived after cake was served, so sometime after 8pm. The party ended around 9pm and most people (presumably) left at that time. I assume this is also when Amy pushed Stacey down the stairs. Given what we know, I believe Freddie must have been killed sometime between 8:30-9pm that night.

Here is a map of characters’ locations during the 8:30-9pm timeframe. The map is bad, but there is a murderer on the loose so we don’t have time to make good maps. Leah, Stevie, Nathan, and Toby are on the front porch (but Leah, Stevie, and Toby are about to leave while Nathan stays the night.) Amy is upstairs, about to walk in on Stacey and Lucas in the bedroom. Next door, Sammy and Ben are in the bathroom experiencing their gay awakening. Freddie's body is found in the backyard the next day.

There are some minor characters who cannot be accounted for, but because we don’t know much about them I also can’t properly speculate on whether they are the murderer at this point.

It’s also important to note that a huge commotion went down around this same time. Stacey is caught cheating with Lucas, Ben and Sammy leave the bathroom together, Amy pushes Stacey down the stairs. And if you’ll remember, all these events were catalyzed by a loud THUD coming from the bathroom. I believe the THUD is really important. I believe this was the moment Freddie died. By now, I’m sure it’s obvious: I think Sammy and Ben killed Freddie. 

Here’s what I think happened: Freddie is somehow drunk. He goes upstairs to the bathroom, accidentally walking in on Sammy and Ben getting it on. Sammy and Ben freak out. Ben isn’t out yet, it’s dangerous for another student to know he’s gay. They might tell his family. They might tell everyone. And worse, this guy is Nathan’s boyfriend, this guy is part of the group of people who have relentlessly bullied Sammy & Ben for years. It could only have been worse if Nathan walked in there himself. 

It’s easy to imagine the boys feeling scared and even angry about this. There was some sort of altercation between the boys and Freddie, and whether it was an accident or on purpose, one of them pushed Freddie out the bathroom window. 

Soon after this, Stacey knocks on the door. Startled, Ben and Sammy leave the party totally stone-faced. They don’t wanna tell anybody. They’re afraid they’ll get in trouble. By the time Freddie’s death is public knowledge, it feels like it’s been too long and now they definitely can’t come forward. So they just…don’t tell anyone. And they’re freakin’ out. To be clear, this is batshit behavior but I fully believe that teenagers would act this way. 

So far, this is the theory for which I have the strongest evidence. Ben and Sammy have a motive to kill Freddie. Of the characters who were upstairs, they’re the only ones who don’t have an alibi. However, it does not explain how Freddie ended up drunk when he never drank and no alcoholic drinks were served. I also don’t believe that Ben and Sammy would drug Freddie. This requires a level of pre-meditation that just doesn’t fit the situation. Even if it was Ben and Sammy who pushed him out the window, there had to be someone else involved in the drugging.

While it’s possible that Freddie brought alcohol and drank of his own volition, it would be out of character for him. Nathan also would have noticed his boyfriend was drunk, and he probably would have drank with him tbh. It seems more likely that Freddie was drugged, or ate something that contained alcohol. This likely happened after he separated from Nathan, so after he ate cake.

 It’s at this point that I’d like to remind us that Freddie was allergic to gluten. He shouldn’t have been able to eat cake. But according to Nathan, he definitely did. Either Amy ordered/baked a gluten-free cake for everyone (which would be in-character for her to do), or there was a separate smaller cake provided just for Freddie that was gluten-free. If there was a smaller cake just for Freddie, it’s possible that the cake simply contained alcohol, like a rum cake. So, the alcohol in his system could be a red herring. But, it’s also possible that someone spiked it, with the intent of drugging Freddie to disorient him.

The problem is I don’t have a clear theory for who would do this. Amy is a suspect since it was her birthday cake, but she has no motive to kill Freddie. Anyone who was at the party before cake was served could be a suspect, so basically anyone but Stacey and Lucas could have done it.

To make things even less clear, EJ09 has supernatural elements to it that haven’t been fully explored yet. There are demons, and the demons can talk to ghosts. It’s possible any number of weird ghost-possession-y things could have been involved in Freddie’s death. Wouldn’t it be wack if he was possessed, and Sammy and Ben just watched their classmate calmly walk past them and jump out the window? That would be wild. Like what the fuck. I love this webcomic.

In conclusion, I strongly believe Sammy and Ben know something or were directly involved in Freddie’s death. There is still a lot that we don’t know, however. We’ll have to wait and see. If you’ve read this entire thing and haven’t read EJ09 yet, you should probably read it. Seems that you’ll like it! This concludes my extremely long essay about how I’m right and the best detective ever. Take it easy!

I hope every pathetic selfish rapist-apologist sorry little man-boy has to watch their best friend die right before their eyes just because they're a minority or gay, I hope they put the gun in their hand and force them to pull the trigger. And then spend the rest of his miserable existence as just another number in the "Male Loneliness" statistics. I hope every gay/trans/queer/transgender person that voted for this has to stand helpless and humiliated as they are told to leave restaurants and stores, stopped at the door and told they are not welcome, told by doctors and government officials that they have no rights when it comes to their sick or dying loved ones because they voted against their own. As for the men who did nothing, who voted blue at their own discretion but were silent on the front, did nothing to speak out against these atrocious ideals and the obvious hate toward women. I hope you have to watch every woman closest to you suffer or die. I hope your mothers/wives/daughters are raped by men you know or hold in revere and you are powerless to stop it or help them. I hope you have to stand by like the helpless, weak, stand-for-nothing sorry excuses for men you are with their blood on your hands.

And I hope when it all starts to go horribly wrong, when they start repealing laws and legislature that protects minorities women and children, when colored people can't vote anymore or women can't have a bank account or own property again, when your bosses get phone calls and have to fire all of the women, or when your landlords post notices on your doors that all gay and colored tenants have been evicted or when your children come home crying talking about how ICE agents raided their classrooms and rounded up immigrant students.... I hope you think back to these posts and how you felt when you're reading it right now...how you think we are so nuts for believing these men are going to do EXACTLY what they have told us they're going to...l hope you feel so. fucking. foolish. I hope you experience a level of shame and regret as profound as what the Romans must have felt when they crucified Jesus and immediately realized the massive fucking mistake they'd made. To be able to know the history of this world and still make the decision to be on the wrong side of it…this will haunt you for generations.

5. What did they do to explore their queerness? Have they tried to explore it at all?

Jao (from TGDW) has really not thought about it. She's been busy being a healer for her village, and then literally the queen's father, and then staying on as the queen's right hand. She's been grinding too hard to worry about gay stuff.

However, spending so much time around Xinya and attending all her formal events and helping her dress has. Y'know. Opened her mind to the possibility.

9. Did it take them a long time to figure out which labels they prefer? Are they still searching for the right fit?

Priscilla (from Henry & Priscilla) is very ignorant of labels, because it's the 1930s, so the few labels she's aware of are insults, plus she runs the mob and has to make sure she's a leader respectable (read=powerful) enough to follow. She hasn't spent enough time around other queer people to know what they would call her whole gender situation. For now, she just "feels like a man sometimes" and that's that. She'd like to find a label, but you don't know what you don't know. Part of her is convinced she's the only one like this.

Romantic Orientation

2. Do they enjoy dating or prefer being single?

Asim (from my Unnamed Dream WIP) has never had the luxury of dating. Before he became the Speaker for his village, his parents were thinking about arranging a marriage for them, but they died before it could pan out and Asim ascended to his role as a wiseman/healer/problem solver for everyone in his general radius, and thus taking on any of them as a spouse would look like special treatment.

When they think about it, they might like the idea of being in a relationship or starting a family with someone, but it's not something he needs to be happy.

8. Are they polyamorous? Do they consider it an orientation or a preference?

Justice (of Pride & Justice) would definitely 100% be polyamorous, he loves love, he would be thrilled at the opportunity to have multiple romantic partners, or even to just have different types of relationships that span the gap between platonic and romantic... if Pride didn't have so many fucking problems that would immediately implode any polycule he ever tried to form or join.

For Justice, it's something he can choose. Being poly would be nice, but the way his life currently stands, he's more than happy being monogamous too.

11. How has their romantic orientation shaped their interactions with peers and family?

Yvonne (from my Horny Urban Fantasy Anthology) was so so so shy in her herd, and continued to be so so so shy once she left it. If anything, being biromantic/bisexual just made her more nervous around literally everyone she ever interacted with that she found even a little bit cute. Centaur herds are a mix of family and peer, as not all of them are all related to each other but they all live together as if they were, so she was very close to everyone she knew. This eased her shyness a little bit around people she considered closer to "family" than "romantic prospect." But as soon as she got out into the Big City, and all she had was peers, she's playing Extreme Wallflower at every social gathering.

4. How do they prefer to present?

Hayden (from Dragon Raising) has long since given up trying to present to what society expects a Black man to present like. He's often on crutches, and when he's not, his MS means he wants to be wearing comfortable clothes that are easy to move in at all times. Adaptive clothes are pretty expensive, so he takes what he can get when it comes to fashion.

On a meta-level, I'd call him.... soft masc? He's not concerned with being macho, but he's not really feminine either.

7. If they’re trans, do they plan on socially transitioning? In which ways? If not, why not?

Pride (of Pride & Justice) has basically socially transitioned in all the ways he wants, and doesn't really bother trying to "pass". He uses the pronouns he likes, he uses the name he likes, he wears—well he wears whatever the fuck he wants, but in a distinctly transgender way.

Intersexuality

15. How does their intersexuality interact with their other identities?

At time of writing, my only intersex OC is a side character from Pride & Justice. One of the members of the book club Justice attends, Chris (it/its), is intersex. I don't have a whole lot about it on my blog rn, I mention it in Justice's powerpoint that I made, and I do plan on making a whole slideshow just for the book club because there's a lot of characters to cover, but for now I will drop the picrew i made for it

I am still in the early days of my research about intersex variations and stuff, but I do know that Chris has Late Onset Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (LOCAH). Signs of puberty appeared in childhood, way earlier than every other kid it knew, and a lot of people in its life were not kind. After basically an entire childhood of being called "it" and a "thing", Chris has embraced it instead of giving in to dehumanization. It takes a lot of joy in being immune to categorization, and "my gender is Thing" is their way of reflecting those attempted insults back at the world.

Additionally, it was very hard to connect with other straight peers in its youth, much less get romantic with them, and trying to conform to cis beauty norms made everything worse. It gave up after high school, at first out of futility, but over time learned to embrace its masculine qualities and started curating them on purpose. It had always known it was attracted to men, but in embracing its own masculinity, it found it was able to appreciate the masculine no matter what gender it was attached to. Achillean really was the perfect word for it, and to this day it appreciates the masculine from butches to bears.

Also it has frogs. It has three White's Tree Frogs named Kermit, Miss Piggy, and Gonzo. This has nothing to do with sexuality but it is very important that you know this.
