BNHA CUTE MOMENT
Attention: This short text will show one of my BNHA OCs, the names may change.
The japanese peregrine Woman, was in the hospital, she was waiting for her husband, who was on the way to the hospital, she held the egg with a lot of love, she held it very calmly, and waited for the egg to crack, She was waiting for the egg to crack, because she was going to find out if her child, what it would be like, her husband had arrived, he entered the room, and he had a smile on his face. He approached, first kissed his wife's beak (this was like a kiss on the mouth, a gesture of greeting), he gently passed his hand over the egg that his wife was holding... Her husband's appearance was that of a humanoid snake, he was of the species hemachatus, he would put his hand on his head, removing his hat, and then the egg would start to crack, His wife's tears began to come down, until the egg cracked, and his wife removed the shell of the egg, and a child was born, which made both parents happy, the child had the head of a falcon, but had a small tail like a snake, the snake man's wife was crying, putting her hand on her son, who had his eye closed, she was holding him in her arms, the baby finally opened his eyes, the baby let out a small chirp, making his father and mother smile at him.
Hayabusa: Do you want to hold him dear?
She asked to hear husband, who was Impressed by the question, but he nodded, and she then handed it into her husband's hands, making him hold it tight, and her son chirped at him, making him smile.
Hakidasu: Hey little guy, It's me, your dad.
The baby just had teary eyes, he couldn't open everything, his father held him, and after 30 minutes of holding him he handed him back to his wife, the baby then cried softly, and his wife rocked the baby in her arms, very calmly.
Hayabusa: Shh Shh, It's okay my baby boy, don't cry, mom and dad is Here.
As the mother spoke softly to her son, the baby calmed down, and became more comfortable close to the mother, his fingers with small nails, touching his father's hand, and his father cried, because his son is very beautiful, and wonderful like his mother and father.
Hakidasu: Do you have an idea for a name?
Hayabusa: I was thinking about Kobuya...
Hakidasu: It's a beautiful Name... I love it

Hope it’s not to much to ask or maybe you’ve already done this but what do the Mulan cast think or act around yuu?
I don't really know that much about Chinese culture so I can't get too specific about things so here's some general headcanons:
Mulan thinks she's awesome. I've said it before but she teaches Yuu self defense since she's the only girl in NRC and is protective of her. I sort of have two versions of this AU - the main one being that everyone that everyone knows that Yuu is a girl from the get-go but if she hid her gender, Mulan would be even more protective over her and would bond with her about that.
Shang and Mulan's war buddies would consider her a cute little sister that they must protect. They actually come up with ways to increase her physical fitness and tell Coach Vargas how to help train her so that she can be strong enough to take down anyone that messes with her.
Mushu and Cri-Kee treat her the same way the other heroic sidekicks like Abu and Pegasus treat her. They consider her a youger sister and are very protective over her (I think Cri-Kee is on the younger side like Flounder so he'd definitely look up to her and try to give her some of his good luck). Mushu is a MalleYuu shipper because he supports his fellow dragons.
Grandma Fa absolutely adores her. She usually hangs out with the other funky old sages like Rafiki, Mama Odie and Merlin (and Lilia) and they talk about cool old people stuff.
Shan Yuu has great respect for her since the Huns, like in Leona's kingdom, have a high regard for women. His falcon, Hayabusa likes to sit on her shoulder despite being like half her size which stirs up a lot of trouble with the other Disney birds.

A falcon beastman with a solemn disposition and loner tendencies. Being rather pessimistic, he prefers to keep an eye on others rather than form interpersonal relationships.
some trivia:
Twisted from: Hayabusa/Xianniang (Mulan)
If you see him, it’s generally a sign that something might inexplicably go wrong for you very soon.
He can go between his human and falcon forms at will.
Ruixing has been able to digest Lilia’s cooking with little to no adverse effects. Whether or not he actually liked it is… up for debate.
His manner of speech can be a little rough and informal due to his upbringing.

Another attempt at a prose poem.
For once I write a wrestling fic not about those guys, LOL. Anyway, a prose poem/short musing about FMW legend Hayabusa, phoenix splashes, and botched moonsaults.

Eagle Reon brings his daughter to meet the Shiratorizawa uncles.
Tumblr media
Hayato: "Aw... They grow so fast! Look! She's already bigger than me..."
Goshiki: "Ooh! It's Reon-san's child! A real child!"
Tendou: "Ah! It's a miniature Reon!"
Semi: "She's so cute... It makes me want to squeeze her..."
Kawanishi: thinking she's fluffy
Shirabu: wants to pluck Goshiki's feathers off, but won't, because it would be a bad example
Ushijima: about to ask if she likes volleyball
Now, I shall briefly explain which eagle I chose for each one of them, and why.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ushijima: an enormous Golden Eagle
Why: This is the eagle that you imagine flying freely over the vast steppes. A fierce and powerful hunter. The one you would call the king of the skies.
Tumblr media
Reon (and his daughter): Steller's Sea Eagle
Why: The heaviest and one of the biggest eagles in the world.
Because of this choice, for now, I will call his daughter Stella. Hehe.
(Trivia: Reon has one of the highest BMI in the series)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Semi: Harpy Eagle
Why: Mostly because of the color, but Semi also has quite high stats, so I think he deserves to be the mighty harpy eagle, one of the biggest and most powerful raptors in the world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Goshiki: Verreaux's Eagle
Why: It might not be as big as the others above, but the Verreaux's seems to be quite the daring bird, not being afraid to challenge the bigger and stronger Martial Eagle for their catch. Also, something in them reminds me of Goshiki's bangs...
Tumblr media
Shirabu: White-bellied Sea Eagle
Why: Mostly because of the light color. It was hard to choose an eagle for Shirabu.
Tumblr media
Kawanishi: White-tailed Eagle
Why: Mostly because of the lighter color. But also because it's big, but relatively chill. It was hard to choose an eagle for Kawanishi.
Tumblr media
Hayato: Peregrine Falcon
Why: The 'haya' in Hayato is the same as the 'haya' in 'hayabusa' (japanese for Peregrine Falcon). It's not an eagle, but I think it's a good match. Smaller, but faster.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tendou: Bearded Vulture
Why: It's Tendou. Also, they break bones to eat the marrow, so Vulture Tendou would sing the 'baki baki' song while doing that. (Fun fact: The red is not blood, it's just stains that come from the habit of bathing in iron-rich mud.)

What is the backstory behind Shan-Yu and how did he become so monstrous looking compared to the other Xiongu?
I actually did have some thoughts on this! So I guess this is the post for:
Villain Backstory : Shan Yu
Tumblr media
Ok, so my ideas for Shan Yu (with a couple of vague concepts taken very loosely from the live action movie, mostly cuz I thought the witch looked cool)
Basically he overall had a normal life for a child of a nomadic steppe culture. Though he was a somewhat sickly child at first, who had to stay behind within the camp with his mother, one of the concubines of the tribes leader, and his father didn't think he'd ever amount to much
He found his bird companion Hayabusa, as a child, the fledlging abandoned after its nest had been destroyed by a larger predator, and he nursed it back to health, the birds progress inspiring him to belive he could rise above his own seeming frailties as well.
He faced many challenges at first, due to his perceived short comings, but his cunning and ruthlessness caused him to advance rapidly in the esteem of his fellows, and soon he was leader in all but name under his father
And when his father died in a raid against China he quickly became leader in truth
From there his ambitions grew, and he began to unite the other tribes around under his leadership, amassing an impressive army that worried the Chinese Emperor, who began construction of the Great Wall
During this time Shan Yu also began a relationship with a Witch named Xianniang
Tumblr media
Xianniang was the one who linked Shan Yu and his falcon together, enabling him to see through Hayabusa's eyes, causing his own to takenon their distinctive yellow tinge
She also granted him other magical augmentations meant to help him in his goals of greater conquest
I don't think he really has or needs a deeper reason to amass power, he just wants it, same as many men throughout the ages, and he's not afraid to take out anyone who he perceives as standing in his way, even children as we see in the film

we heard a lot about percy already, but what's up with simon, amari and khuuya
Simon and Amari are based off the Siamese cats from Lady and the Tramp and take some personality inspiration from the Hitachiin twins from OHSHC. I made them for the NRC Host Club ask blog which I have been dreadfully dead on. I don’t have their characters fleshed out much. They’re just silly guys that have a habit of taking it too far.
Khuuya was pretty much an excuse for me to make another OC with wings. He’s based on Hayabusa the Falcon from Mulan because I originally made him as a TWST OC, but he’s just become a regular OC for me to traumatize.
He’s become a slightly unofficial member of the Freakshow group as an example of what humans do to any strange creatures they find. It’s making these creatures that kill and eat humans for fun slightly more sympathetic because humans aren’t much better than the freaks.

So, let’s do Ruri’s name.
Ruri’s name in Kanji is 黒咲 瑠璃, Kurosaki Ruri. Kurosaki means Obsidian, and Ruri means lapis lazuli (or just the azure color), but can also be used as:
common name for various blue thrushes (birds) in family Muscicapidae, such as the 大瑠璃 (ōruri, “blue and white flycatcher, Cyanoptila cyanomelana”) or 小瑠璃 (koruri, “Siberian blue robin, Larvivora cyane, syn. Luscinia cyane”)
This explains Ensemblue Robin, though that card is obviously based off the males of the various such species.
But.
黒咲, isn’t Kurosaki. It is a combination of 黒, kuro, black, and 咲, saki, blossom. So, Kurosaki siblings’ name isn’t obsidian, but black blossom.
The Kanji 瑠, ru, can also be read as ruri as its own, it means precious gem, or lapis lazuli specifically. The Kanji, 璃, ri, means glassy, but can also mean lapis lazuli. Ri sound also alludes to Kotori Mizuki, though her Kanji name is different (観月小鳥, Moon-viewing Little Bird).
I’m guessing the naming here is mostly for the color, but the previous gem meaning is probably a reference to Merag from ZEXAL being a Rock Alien.
The “black blossom” here likely refers to 黒百合, kuroyuri, Fritillaria camschatcensis, from Japanese language of flowers. It means love, or curse. The Kanji 百合, yuri, means lily, but it can also be read as yuugo, Fusion (hence the pun being Yuri’s name, and its connection to Yugo). Black blossom can also refer to black rose in European language of flowers, which means death. This is because the Kanji 璃, ri, can also be read as Aki, as in Aki Izayoi.
Shun’s name is 黒咲 隼, Kurosaki Shun. 隼, shun, can also be read as hayabusa, and means falcon, though it is generally used for peregrine falcon specifically.
“Falcon” here likely refers to Stalin’s Falcons, given Shun’s Communist theming, but due to the spirit theming going on with Ruri, and Yuto, it might also be referring to ka in Egyptian Religion, the origin of Duel Monsters. In European, and Asian symbolism, falcons generally represent nobility, which is ironic in Shun’s case, until you release before being a full blown revolutionary due to interdimensional, Shun was basically a upper class nobleman, forced to take arms, eventually liking the idea of overthrowing the system that fed him.
*****
Bonus round:
Yuto’s name is ユート, which can be pronounced as Yuuto, but the official romanization of Ute is more correct, though Uto might be the most correct romanization in the following context. Proper Katakana spelling is ユウト, the reason why ARC-V went with this alternate spelling is because of the Katakana spelling of ユートピア, Utopia, which is the localized name of Number 39: King of Hope, Hope, which is used in the Japanese name of.Hyper Rank-Up-Magic Utopiforce (ハイパーランクアップマジック-ユートピア・フォース/HRUM-ユートピア・フォース). So this specific (mis)spelling alludes Yuma.
Since there is no Kanji here, we have to speculate:
**The “to” part in Yuto can mean person (人), which is used Seto Kaiba’s Japanese name, but can also mean to fly (翔), alluding to En Birds, and Yuma’s Pegasus theming, or (斗), Big Dipper, alluding to Barians, and Xyz Summoning in general.
The Kanji 人, can also mean another person, or humanity in general among other things.
It can also allude to phantoms (fantomu), ghosts (gosto), or spirits (supirito), but also knights (naito), and night (again, naito). Since the “ya” part in Yuya’s name can be read as night, this means Yuto would be another way of saying Yuya.
So, Yuto would be just another Yuya, more associated with En Birds, knights, phantoms, and Xyz Summoning. Well, this describes him well enough.
“to” can also mean “and”, so I guess Yuya and another Yuya meaning can be gleamed.
“to” is also repeating sound in both Shun, and Ruri’s Decks.
****
I don’t why Yuto, and Ruri’s names, much like their Decks, specifically allude to Yuma, and Kotori, since other pairs don’t specifically allude to their past counterparts. This might be due to the fact that ZEXAL was the most recent series, thus the most fresh one on people’s memories at the time of ARC-V’s airing.
Another reason might be Konami themselves, who constantly pair up Yuya with other “red” protags, ie. Yuma, and Judai, due to their obvious parallels (hence why many promos feature them together, consider for example Hope Magician). But it is pretty obvious Katsumi Ono, the director of ARC-V, wanted to Yuya to eventually develop into a middle ground between Yugi, and Yusei, instead of being stuck as the deconstruction of Judai, which Ono likely intended to be merely the starting point of Yuya (and as a middle finger to GX fans like me who left the franchise during the 5D’s era). This did not materialize (because of the show’s internal troubles), and I’m very skeptical about Konami getting Ono’s original vision.
Of course this also makes me wonder what would a Ono-directed ZEXAL look like. Here’s a free reboot idea for you Konami.

Slightly badass name today! 早房 is read Hayabusa or Hayafusa. If the Hayabusa sounds familiar, it's also the name of a spacecraft, a Shinkansen (bullet train), and maybe the fastest motorcycle in the world. The first two are written in hiragana, はやぶさ, and the motorcycle in katakana, ハヤブサ.
However! The namesake of all of these is the peregrine falcon, which is written differently, and with just one character: 隼. It's made up of two parts: the bottom 十 is the number ten and the top 隹 is the "old bird" (furutori) radical. Old not in the sense of an elderly bird—just in contrast to the modern bird radical, 鳥.
And, because I want to procrastinate my work, let's do a bonus character: 集 (atsu.maru, atsu.meru, tsudo.u, or shū). It's composed of a bird on top of a tree, and it means to gather together, congregate, swarm, flock, or meet. I love characters with logic like this.

What is Aska saying during her upwards spinning attack which produces blue butterflies? I've always thought it sounded cool, but have never been able to work out what's is being said. It sounds, in part, like she is saying, "dolomite". May not be relevant, but I'm referring to the US version is case there are audio differences.
In TMNT: Tournament Fighters, When Aska she does her flying uppercut, with the butterflies, she says “Kochou no Mai.” (meaning "Butterfly dance", also a variety of flower) While, we're at it, when she does her forward spinning attack she shouts, “Hayabusa”. (meaning "Falcon") Source: comments section of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5q7qQapAGKM ... it was the best i could find.

So I had this theory that the Ramshackle dorm is based on the Disney villain hunters/mercenaries. The Disney villains hunters/mercenaries are villains like Clayton, Gaston, Shan Yu, etc. There are four reasons why I believe the Ramshackle dorm is based the Disney villain hunters/mercenaries. One, “Yuu” is a similar name to “Shan Yu”. Two, Yuu is the only non-magic person in Night Raven College and none of the Disney villains hunters/mercenaries have any magic. Three, Yuu is known as beast tamer by Crowley and we all know how they handle well with Grim and the other animals at the House of Mouse. Four, Yuu was able to defeat overblot monsters without any magic, only using their skills. How do you feel about this theory?
Also, how does Yuu interact with the Disney villains hunters/mercenaries? And what is their stance on the shipping war?
You know, that's a really good and interesting theory. Everything makes sense and it all adds up so it could possibly be true. Personally, I like the idea of Ramshackle being this misfit/outlier dorm with no history as it reflects how Yuu is this outsider that doesn't belong in this world.
I like to think Yuu has a good relationship with the hunters, seeing that she's well liked among the villains. She's confused at how Gaston is so different to Coach Vargas yet looking so similar but all she needs to do is praise him and he'll be happy. Hayabusa, Shan Yu's falcon, likes to perch on Yuu's shoulder so Shan Yu considers her trustworthy. As long as the hunters don't talk about murder in front of her, they're cool. (Also Clayton's from England and we Brits stick together)
I had this scene in my head where Yuu befriends the pirates/explorers when they catch her singing the Wellerman and they all start singing and joining in whilst the rest of the club stare at them like they're some cult.
Also, they like the shipping war. Everyone knows that Disney Villains are all secretly theatre kids so they like watching the drama unfold. I don't know if they'd join in but they are spectating like a bunch of avid sports fans.
