一日一歩 (ichi-nichi-ip-po) "Moving forwards, one step every day"

一 = one
日 = day
一 = one
歩 = step
This is a special kind of Japaneses idiom known as a 四字熟語 (よじじゅくご、yo-ji-juku-go), or 4-character idiom. As the name suggests, these are idiomatic phrases made of 4 kanji characters.
They often contain a small life lesson or moral message, similar to English sayings such as “you reap what you sow” and “the early bird gets the worm”.

A lunar occultation of the Pleiades, when the Moon passes in front of the star cluster, was visible from Japan on the night of 16 August into the early morning of 17 August. OP says it was very difficult to photograph the bright moon and the fainter stars, but he also managed to capture an iridescent cloud lit by the moon.
Additional information: Firstly, an eclipse is called 食 shoku (food or eat) in Japanese, in other words, one celestial body is "eating" another. Perfect image. Secondly, the Pleiades is called すばる Subaru in Japanese, as is the car company SUBARU. Here's the history of SUBARU's name.

「プレアデス星団(すばる)食」
おうし座のすばるが月に隠される現象が、16日23時頃から17日1時頃にかけて起こりました。
明るい月と暗い星を一緒に撮るのは、なかなか難しかったです。
すばる食の間、時々雲に覆われることもありましたが、珍しい月光彩雲も撮れました。
