MANCHESTER (and surrounding county and metropolitan areas)! Do you love epic fantasy, with unique magic systems, phenomenal world-building, and rich characters? Do you love horror that is grounded in social issues, representative of the best and worst of society, and haunts the shadows in the corner of your brain? Do you love watching someone with mild-to-moderate social anxiety attempting to host an event?
On 31st May, @jonnywaistcoat - Jonathan Sims himself - and the wonderful Rebecca Zahabi will be chatting about their books at Blackwell's on Oxford Street. These two creative powerhouses will be sharing their wisdom from 6:30pm. Tickets are £3.00, or free with an order of THE HAWKLING or FAMILY BUSINESS.

Rebecca Zahabi's first book in the series, THE COLLARBOUND, is also currently £2.99 on Kindle, so you can be ready and raring for THE HAWKLING and this event.

Jonathan Sim's first novel, THIRTEEN STOREYS, is currently on Kindle at £4.99 as well, for getting your spooky on.

"Happy New Year Kakashi~" He tugs Kakashi's mask down so he can steal a kiss before leaning up to press their foreheads together with the warmest of smiles. "Here's to many, many more."

Book two of Rebecca Zahabi's phenomenal Tales From The Edge trilogy is out today.
Pick it up if you're into:
Epic fantasy with unique magic systems
Fantasy written by women of colour, featuring POC main characters
Fantasy languages drawn from real world linguistics that aren't Latin
Very literal takes on the term 'psychological warfare'
Reluctant allies
Critiques on ruling classes, social structure and the systems that support them

ICYMI - Rebecca Zahabi, author of THE COLLARBOUND and THE HAWKLING, was featured writing 'Five Things I Learned' on Chuck Wendig's blog.
Rebellion is brewing and refugees have begun to trickle into the city at the edge of the world. Looming high on the cliff is the Nest, a fortress full of mages who offer protection, but also embody everything the rebellion is fighting against: a strict hierarchy based on magic abilities. When Isha arrives as a refugee, she attempts to fit in amongst the other mages, but her kher tattoo brands her as an outcast. She can’t remember her past or why she has the tattoo – only that she survived. Tatters, who wears the golden collar of a slave, was once one of the rebels. He plans to stay in the shadows, until Isha appears in his tavern. He’s never seen a human with a tattoo, and the markings look eerily familiar . . . As the rebellion carves a path of destruction towards the city, an unlikely friendship forms between a man trying to escape his past and a woman trying to uncover hers, until their secrets threaten to tear them apart.
