one thing csm has over jjk is the introspective moments. like esp in part 2. we know everything asa feels and what denji is trying Not to feel. it just makes for a richer reading experience compared to jjk which from what i remember reading is just action action action

to my all little liars!! (edit: wtf happened to my english? šŸ˜)
weā€™re at 24.6k words rn šŸ˜Ÿ if you plan on reading it next week, i recommend you read it on the weekends when thereā€™s no school or work for you waiting in the morning šŸ˜€
calling in the troops rn ā€˜cause thereā€™s still one final scene i have to write and itā€™s gonna be LONG (this isnā€™t including the bonus scene btw) but itā€™s extremely important for the story to continue, and without it, the rest of the story literally cannot go on šŸ˜
weā€™re locking in guys. itā€™s 100% gonna border 30k words for sureee. sm has happened in that ONE chapter and i literally cannot wait to release it for all of you, you have no ideaaa
gonna go to bed and then wake up, study, break, write for the fic, repeat. had to randomly drop an update here cuz iā€™ve been edging you guys for so long iā€™m sorryyy, but it really is nearly here <333
Tumblr media
edit: fck it guys iā€™m writing it rn (the immediate comments got me motivated)

Till this day, calling Megumi a "bum" is absurd to me. Like, no, he's actually unhinged and ready to end it at the drop of a dime. He's just one of those people who know how unhinged they are but choose not to act a fool until someone rings that bell.

iā€™m actually really glad that yuji empathized with megumiā€™s depressive state instead of just outright telling him to live tbh. it lets megumi keep his agency as opposed to the damsel in distress narrative that some people were pushing, and subverts expectations on the whole 'start by saving me itadori' thing in general

But like hypothetically if I decided to make a series of YouTube video breaking down and rambling about how I think the first year trio encompass the full gradient scale of what it means to be ā€œmorally goodā€ and how by the end of the series they have grown exponentially but their moral inner workings are so entrenched in who they are they never needed to change they just became more of who they already were.
Because initially Yuuji wants to save the world in that abstract way all heroes do, Megumi is only interested in saving those he can save and Nobara is only interested in those she wants to save. And all these are treated as morally valid by the narrative and not really flaws in need of changing but instead philosophies in need of refining and understanding.
Because Jujutsu Society as a whole encourages and thrives off a moral apathy or superiority, they are in the business of killing curses not saving lives and that ultimately raises the question of if youā€™re going out there everyday killing curses and inadvertently saving lives does it really matter the reason why? Or the morality behind it? Maybe not to you but to the society, maybe.
So anyway, hypothetically ā€¦.would you be hypothetically interestedšŸ‘€

itā€™s hilarious to me that fushiguro went back to his old middle school and everyone talked about how his sister, who went to middle school with him, was the one taking care of him because Iā€™m convinced that seventeen year old gojo had his ass in a chair every pta meeting starting shit with the other moms and the entire administration collectively said ā€œthat man cannot even take care of himselfā€ and decided twelve year old tsumiki was the only possible caretaker

Am I the only one who thinks that Sukuna knows flowers bc he's into that? And he just blamed it on someone else bc of Yuuji's reaction. He was like, give me space brat.
Like when Sukuna was chilling in his own space with the boulders and the plants. I rly think he just wants to chill by himself in nature.
Or he would know from his past life's positions. Foraging bc he's an unwanted child living through famine. Learning to speak differently bc he's around people of a high class.
I'm not saying that Megumi doesn't know flowers, maybe he does too. But I don't think that Sukuna would have looked into his memories, he wanted there to be distance between them.
Like. Sukuna was pleased when Megumi used his domain for the first time. Bc they both need personal space and Sukuna copes w being repressed in Yuuji's body by retreating into his innate domain most of the time.
Or alternatively, what if Geto taught Gojo about flowers and when Gojo would take Megumi out as a kid he would point them out by name?
Somehow my shit brain believes both of these things
That Gojo taught Megumi about flowers bc Geto got Gojo into it, and that Sukuna knew the flower's name all on his own.

The lack of confirmation of Nobara's status leads me to believe Gege has something planned for her as the end of the Everyone vs Sukuna battle Aka the "Decisive Battle" draws to an end. This situation totally reminds me of the "Enchain" plot thread. It felt for a long stretch of the manga like Gege had even forgotten about the Enchain binding vow.
Except he hadn't.
The hush-hush around Nobara might be due to a similar situation. It might mean that she will be a key player to defeat Sukuna. OR she might be part of the conclusion of the story in a different way like bringing a ray of sunshine and hope to the fandom with just the confirmation of her survival, after Gege breaks our hearts one last time before the manga's end lol.
