Hi hi! Not very many, and of them, I've only finished a couple. I'm mostly just having fun with whatever I come across.

Transformers: Prime - the only show I've seen all the way through

Transformers: Rescue Bots - I've seen season one a few times, and now I'm s l o w l y getting through the rest. Currently somewhere in season 2

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts - I watched about 3/4 of this film, plus I have some vague recollections of seeing one of the other live-action movies when I was younger

Transformers One - the only movie I've seen all the way through

The Transformers 1984 - so far, only the pilot miniseries and a couple random episodes

Transformers: Animated - I just finished season 1!!

Has KnockOut ever been insecure of stretch marks given how he prides on his appearance? I’m sure Breakdown doesn’t mind them, though. Also, can Megatron feel anything with that tremendous scar on his back and how does Optimus react once he first saw it?

Knockout is definitely vain to a fault, always he was all the way back when he was still a nobel, this extends to not just his appearance but also his need to keep his snazzy clothes and armor in perfect condition, as well his bow pristine!

However, what he loves most in the world is the life he shares with Breakdown. The highs and lows they faced in life beyond the Autobot Kingdom, scars and scratches they earned along the way–all are memories of how hard they fought for their life together and how much they loved the fact that they got to fight and WIN for that love.

The marks he received in life since bonding Breakdown are met with pride! (Breakdown lets little get past him to hurt KO, that and Knockout is a mean shot with his bow, both are the other’s protectors! lol, scars received are few and far in between)

Knockout’s stretch marks from Wildbreak– his greatest gift from Breakdown, his greatest gift to the love of his life, are by far his proudest yet. They made that baby!!! And that is the greatest joy and challenge Knockout has ever faced, but the best part was that he got to face it with Breakdown.

Yes, and ofc Breakdown loves the marks. Obsessed w them even–they belong to his super strong, soft, and hot hubby

As for Megatron’s burn marks, nope he does not feel them much at all, the burns were very deep and fried a lot of his nerves. It wasn’t always that way of course, healing took. years.

Optimus has seen every single one of his scars. When asked, Megs would talk his audial off telling Op the stories of each proud mark. Some range from petty fights with his brother long ago, some from his time in the gladiator pits, others from dumb youthful decisions, he's a story book ready for Optimus to dive into, he only needs to ask.

His first reaction to seeing them was of course shock, but secondly he felt truly sick. Of course at Megs, nor the melted, glassy flash, but the fact that someone could do something like that to another person. Megatron has long since been used to that look of shock, those who have seen it rarely can school their features–he eased the situation with yet another story.

The largest scar, his burns, now that is the one that everytime he talks about it, Megs cooks up a whole new story to pair it with. Megatron’s favorites are “I feel asleep in a hot spring” or “Fireworks and High Grade don’t mix” and “You see my dear Sir Orion, there is a reason why I am not allowed in any kitchen ever again so long as I live”. Optimus doesn’t really wonder anymore. He knows all too well that some well placed humor is just a mask for the too painful of stories. He does know that he has never seen a ‘burn’ scar quite like Megatronus’

“In a great flash of light, the Allspark disappeared and Left King Ultra and Megatron gravely wounded…” so the stories go. Those in the battle rumor that Megatron made a scramble for the Allspark and the artifact lashed at the unworthy King of daring to filthy it with his hands, King Ultra being too close, sadly being burned as well in It’s rage.

Megatron has his own side of the story. Not that many beyond the few trusted of his People he’s shared it with know the truth, perhaps one day the little Knight may be ready.

you know the way starscream is written in the second and third seasons of earthspark actually takes away potential character development from megatron, which is a shame because i actually quite like es megatron.

(aka, my attempt to prove that my issues with es s2/3 aren't just because i'm a bitter starscream stan. but also it’s still mostly about starscream </3 warning: long!)

in my opinion, s1e21 "what dwells within" deliberately set up a little mini character arc for megatron regarding his attitude toward starscream that (at least as of right now) was never followed up on. and in fact has lowkey been completely dropped. while earthspark megatron saw the error of his ways and changed his behavior before the events of the series, and is generally depicted as being very aware of the harm he has caused and wanting to atone for that harm, he has a very obvious blind spot when it comes to starscream and his treatment of him.

in "what dwells within", when starscream escapes from prison and megatron + optimus prime are discussing next steps, optimus directly asks megatron to bring starscream in without excessive force (the implication being that he believes this will be difficult for megatron), to which megatron replies that he will me when i lie. however, when megatron first encounters starscream later in the episode, his immediate reaction is to blast him with his cannon, even though in that moment starscream is literally just standing there. this clearly demonstrates that while this version of megatron is typically very calm and measured (being a grandfatherly source of stability for the malto children, rarely raising his voice, and also himself being the one to advocate for moderation when dealing with the other decepticons), he is unable or perhaps unwilling to temper himself when dealing, specifically, with starscream.

while the audience has only ever seen es megatron as gentle and caring, starscream describes a megatron that "ruled... with fear and intimidation", one that did not hesitate to use violence against those he had authority over. and that version of megatron is directly shown to us in his eagerness to use violence against starscream. near the beginning of the episode it was megatron who was very angrily pushing hard for croft to focus on recapturing starscream, specifically; he's so persistent about recapturing starscream that he, personally, sets out to do so despite croft's commands and optimus's obvious hesitance; as mentioned, his immediate reaction to seeing starscream is to beat him to the ground, despite the fact that when he sees starscream he is just hanging out and despite his earlier promise to bring starscream in "without excessive force". it's very deliberately shown to the audience that however many strides megatron has made in bettering himself as a person in the last ~15 years, the "old megatron" is still very much present when it comes to starscream.

however, "what dwells within" then depicts megatron as coming to some realization about the harm that he has caused to starscream, and as having potential for growth in that regard. when hashtag defends starscream against him and is clearly distraught at the way he's acting, megatron is forced to see how his actions toward starscream appear to others (particularly, others who he cares about). when starscream deliberately puts himself in danger to protect hashtag, megatron is forced to consider if his internal conception of starscream as "too unpredictable and dangerous" to be allowed to exist out in the world is, perhaps, off base. most especially, at the end of the episode when megatron offers "somewhere safe" to starscream and is rejected with the line "nowhere is safe if it's with you", the "camera" lingers on megatron's expression. we are very deliberately shown megatron's reaction to starscream's words; upon hearing this, megatron is either surprised or contemplative or something along those lines.

my reading of these moments (and particularly that ending moment), which i don't think is that controversial, is that megatron never really considered the damage that he has done to starscream. if i may theorize a bit: i think megatron conceptualized the conflict between starscream and himself as one between matched equals, while what starscream presents it as (and, let's be real, what it actually was) is a conflict between an authority figure and his subordinate, who he had both physical and social power over. therefore i don't think megatron ever really stopped to consider both the physical harm and the enduring psycological harm that he inflicted on starscream, even after his redemption arc where he presumably spent a lot of time thinking about how he has hurt others. you know, the large scale societal harm caused by starting a multi-million-year long interplanetary war is perhaps easier to recognize than the intimate, personal harm inflicted by one individual onto another in a complicated relationship between two people.

in this episode, however, megatron is forced to consider this. the fact that the reality of the situation may be different than how he's been conceptualizing it for ~15 years (if not millions of years) is brought into acute focus both by starscream all but directly telling him how his treatment had long-lasting negative effects on him and also by hashtag all but directly telling him how deranged his violent fixation on starscream looks to outsiders.

and i think it's a massive shame that this (in my opinion) deliberate set up was unceremoniously dropped between seasons.

first of all, while to be clear i do not believe that megatron's redemption happening off-screen before the events of the series is a flaw with the series itself, it still would have been interesting to see some kind of microcosm of that redemption arc through his relationship with starscream. especially considering how much of earthspark's first season was about change and redemption and second chances, it would have been. i don't know. nice. if they continued that theme into the rest of the show. and particularly this would provide an opportunity to send a message to the show's intended audience of children about how redemption is an ongoing process, and a process that isn't perfect. you know, just because megatron has changed doesn't mean there isn't still room to grow. just because he's recognized his faults in this area doesn't mean there aren't other areas that haven't gotten that same attention. we should always be working to better ourselves, don't let yourself become complacent and too self-assured of your own goodness to see where you need to change, et cetera. the closest we get to this is his changing dynamic with prowl, but that simply doesn't have the same punch because (1) neither the audience nor megatron have any kind of pre-existing relationship to prowl beyond knowing that he exists and (2) megatron's attitude toward prowl is that of being a little mean and jealous - it's just not the same. it's not as strong of an impact if the starting point that megatron needs to grow from is "having a mutually catty antagonism with a new addition to the friend group".

and second of all, the dropping of this storyline kind of leads to some gross unintentional messaging lmao?? like, season one very deliberately presents starscream as a victim of abuse from megatron, and presents megatron as needing to change in regards to both his physical treatment and also his mental conception of starscream. but when this is dropped, and starscream is rewritten between seasons to be so cartoonishly evil in contrast to his s1 portrayal that it's almost laughable, it kind of just validates megatron's earlier attitude - the attitude that was clearly presented in s1 as being off base and in need of altering. like, no, actually, megatron doesn't need to work on his obsessive and at times violent fixation on his former victim, because his paranoia about what starscream would get up to if left unsupervised was correct and warranted! no, actually, megatron doesn't need to feel bad about the physical and psychological violence he inflicted on starscream over the course of millennia, because starscream is "worse than [he] ever was"! very upsettingly, it almost sends a kind of... "look what happens when megatron isn't around to keep starscream in line; wasn't it better when megatron was in charge?" message. which is, again, gross as hell considering s1 all but explicitly stated that the way in which megatron treated starscream was abuse. like, to be clear, i do not believe this was intentional on the part of the earthspark writing team - i don't think this is what they were trying to say. it's just that, much like with the 😬 stuff surrounding the chaos terrans, i do not think they thought about the implications of their own writing in conjunction with the previous season before metaphorically hitting send.

anyway. the complete assassination of starscream's character also dominoed into megatron having his own little character arc pulled out from under him, which is just sad :-( i would have wanted to see some emotional development for megatron. and they should have given that old man something to do besides bitch at prowl for a season. and i'm making this post on my birthday so you're legally not allowed to disagree with me /lh

oof. there have been many versions of starscream over the years so i'm just gonna do the ones i think are the most major ones

G1:

probably the starscream i'm the least attached to. i think it's his design and the fact that i have no nostalgia for G1 (i only discovered G1's existence when i joined the TF fandom and i was literally not born yet when G1 was airing).

it's still fun watching him be a big toddler, tho. and i filled out the daddy issues box because he has the vibes of someone who has it.

TFA:

I'm pretty sure I've admitted it on here before, but I actually do really love The Last Jedi. I think it's a really good movie! Well made, well acted, beautifully shot, the characters and their development is compelling. I enjoy it!

I do not, however, think it's a very good Star Wars movie.

Cartoon: Transformers Prime / Robots in Disguise 2015

Characters: Smokescreen, Knock Out, and Bumblebee, with appearances from numerous other characters (even ones not featured in the cartoons)

Synopsis: An Autobot Elite Guard rookie, a Decepticon medic turned Autobot, and an Autobot scout turned warrior turned street cop - three very different bots with a wide range of stories to tell. And we are going to spend the next year exploring said stories through daily-written drabbles, be they angsty, humorous, gut-punching, or just plain odd! Who doesn’t love a challenge? (2016 to 2017)

Bumblebee rolled his optics as the mockingly shocked question was accompanied by the swaggering entrance of Wasp.

Not looking up from his datapad, he asked, "What do you want, Wasp?"

"Just to give you some much needed advice," Wasp said easily, leaning on the desk.

"I don't want your advice."

Wasp shook his helm, crossing his arms. "'Bee, do yourself a favor and lower your expectations. I mean, seeing as that's what the rest of the force does when it comes to your quality of work-"

Bumblebee lowered the datapad sharply. "Don't you have work to do?"

Impromptu Driving Lessons

Denny had decided Russell should learn the basics of driving within the relative safety of the scrapyard, with Bumblebee acting as the vehicle for the lesson. Denny reasoned that if Russell happened to make any crash inducing mistakes, Bumblebee would be able to prevent that from happening.

"That doesn't mean you'll be taking over all the time, right?" Russell asked.

"Of course not," Bumblebee replied. "I'm just here as a failsafe."

"Sweet!" Russell gripped the steering wheel. "Let's do this!"

As Denny climbed into the passenger seat, Bumblebee held in a sigh. Regret was just one fender bender away, he knew it.

Never Say Die

The screams echoing throughout the prison weren't helping Bumblebee's nervousness. Trying to distract himself, he turned to the small window of the cell. He grabbed the bars and pulled himself up, peering outside.

"Still think someone's coming for us?" grumbled one of his fellow prisoners.

"I know someone's coming for us," Bumblebee replied forcefully.

"Kid... Stop before you're disappointed."

"I'm not giving up, and neither should you."

Then, an electric current coursed through Bumblebee's body, and the young Autobot fell to the ground. Through unfocused optics, he could see their Decepticon captors standing over him.

"Still not gonna give up, kid?"

I will never full-on slander Earthspark.

Yes, I know S2 and "S3" writers are different (I'm always for Marty Isenberg though that was a neat surprise) AND the animation went downhill with a new studio (no hate to any workers) but it is not the worst show like I've seen people say it is ever since S1 finished. It's not "ruined", maybe lost potential but not flat out "RUINED FOREVER".

A few episodes in these last two batches were kinda "huh" BUT, I personally really enjoyed them, ESPECIALLY this last batch. Good amount of action, comedy and character interactions.

Imo, Earthspark doesn't SUCK. It is not "ruined". Circumstances may have affected the production quality, but I don't think it needs "saving" the way people think.

I do criticise the "batches" format and I will always criticise Paramount's shit advertising and Hasbro's lack of care and toy distribution. Hasbro hates money after all.

And I'm saying this as a Starscream fan? I bloody love Earthspark and the plot S2+S3 gave us.

(Even if he is a total bitch ala Starscream, I am a little concerned for him. But this is not the Starscream show, it's the Malto show!!)

Rumble x Reader, Frenzy x Reader

• Hearing a drawer rattle behind you as Frenzy grumbles in his own language, you drink your coffee. Even not understanding his language, you’re almost positive he’s still complaining about the tiny sip of your coffee he’d tried. And immediately spit back out, carrying on like you’d poisoned him until Rumble had punched him in the arm. They’re too cute and all yours. After the shower, you’d put on a warm silk robe in the hopes of getting them to behave long enough to let you eat some breakfast. “So are you guys space invaders or do you come in peace?”

• “Depends,” Frenzy mutters, smiling wickedly when you look his way over the top of your cup of nasty, dirt water. “Your name Peace?” Pleased when you snort and start coughing and laughing, waving a little hand. Can’t really believe they’re doing this. Taking you home with them. You’re placing your trust in them and that’s sobering, because he’s never actually been responsible for anyone else. Or at all. Choosing impulse, mischief, and fun every time. He’s not even sure he can take care of someone else. But Rumble, he’s the responsible one. Well, slightly more responsible anyway.

• Watching you hide a smile behind your cup, there’s a whisper of concern twisting through the warmth inside Rumble. Because he’s not sure how Soundwave is going to react to this. The boss is always fussing over Starscream’s little human and all of the other cassettes are almost positive Soundwave’s a bit too attached. But his cassettes taking a human for a mate? Asking the boss to come fetch the three of them so they can get your stuff to the Nemesis? That’s going to be awkward, isn’t it. “Maybe we should ask Thundercracker for a lift home?” He asks Frenzy, smiling thinly at you when you glance at him. That Seeker isn’t as big a jerk as the others. And they haven’t pissed him off recently.

• What’s that look? Glancing between the brothers as they share a look and Frenzy slowly nods. “No one has a clue where you are or what you’ve been doing, huh?” And when they both frown, you know you’re right. “Your alien boss going to be okay with me, babe?” Because they both look very uncomfortable. “Cause I’m not into the scalpels and needles kind of experimentation.” Want that very clear, because you enjoy this between you three, but know absolutely nothing about them really.

• “No one’s touching you but us,” Frenzy growls, tensing at your words. But, as small as you are, they’re not a lot bigger. Much smaller than the rest of the Decepticons. They’ve just always had Soundwave to back them up if they got into too much trouble, but can they depend on him to protect you, too? Looking over at Rumble, he watches his brother’s jaw clench. Seeing his own determination in Rumble’s expression. You’re theirs. And Primus help anyone that messes with you. Hooking his arm around you, he tucks you against his side and rests his head on top of yours when you lean into him.

he sees humans as still pretty fragile. so the idea that you like going and having needles shoved into your flesh and jammed through your muscle isn't something he can wrap his helm around at first.

imagine him trying to process you explaining that yes, your entire back is covered in ink and you're planning on about five different piercings in the next year.

poor mech is lost. though he does enjoy learning more about humanity when he isn't stressing too much about saving it.. so expect questions.

when you suggest getting one of the autobot emblem, his circuits nearly fry.

i see prowl not writing off the behavior as weird and instead digging for why you pursued this journey.

yes, he sees your tattoo and piercing collection as a journey, because that's what it is, isn't it? years of work and pain to adorn your body to your liking.

he knows that humans are bundled with nerves. there's respect earned. he finds humans to be eerily resilient.

will ask you the meaning of each and every one. piercings less so.

"what does this bird represent?"

"mm.. my sense of liberty."

"a visual representation of the wish to stretch to new horizons. how fascinating. being small in a vast universe with the urge to still explore."

"i also just like hummingbirds."

"mm. i see."

will get onto you once he finds out about the "makeshift" work. finds the mistakes or even forgettable craftsmanship to make you endearing.

he LOVES human culture. and you guys can just... change your appearance? count him impressed!

you had dyed your hair to a nice golden yellow to match his frame and he almost jammed his intake shut.
