5. Which episode wrecked you the most emotionally?

If we're going based on one single episode, I would have to say 5. There's just so much heartbreak and loss in 5 that I felt like I needed to watch it more than once (after the first time) in order to properly process all of it. The loss of Bubbles, all of the men going down and, at the time you don't know who's still alive and who's not- did John Brady make it? We know he bailed out with Bucky- they jumped together- but that's the last we see of Brady until episode 7. Did Crank and his crew make it? We don't know, so we assume, all are lost. Rosie's just watched all of the forts around him disappear one by one, he's alone in the vast emptiness of the sky with zero protection around him. He looks absolutely rattled to his bones when his feet are finally back on the ground. He just cannot process it.

If we're talking about individual moments that wrecked me, here are some honorable mentions that made me weep:

Rosie's discovery of the concentration camp in episode 9

Episode 6 and it's dealing of grief in three entirely different ways and places between Rosie, Croz & Bucky

Episode 7 when Rosie is watching the ambulances leave Thorpe Abbotts with the bodies of all the fallen airmen

When Croz & Rosie are sitting in the Officer's Club together in episode 9 after Rosie's return from Russia

The end of episode 3 when Buck finally lands in Africa after Regensburg and Bucky is joking about how he couldn't make the runway and you start to see Buck Cleven breaking- you think he's going to be the first to break between the two of them but really, it's Bucky

9.Aside from Buck and Bucky, who is your favorite friend pair on the show?

This is a tie between Rosie & Croz and Blakely & Douglass. I wish we had seen more of both their friendships. I am especially fond of the relationship that Croz fosters with Rosie- after losing Bubbles it cannot have been easy to suddenly have this friend who maybe, slid into the space where Bubbles once was, but I think Rosie did it with grace and Croz was appreciative of it. And that he had someone willing to listen. Rosie represents a part of Croz's life that he suddenly found himself navigating muddy waters, and Rosie was there to help. The two of them in the Officer's Club in episode 9 is one of my favorite scenes in the entire series. It's two soldiers getting to let their guard down for a moment- their emotions are laid out on the table. It's a sad, and special moment.

Blakely & Douglass just did not get enough time on screen in my opinion. They're close, you can see it- where one is the other is not far behind. During the celebration scene in episode 9 they're together, pouring whiskey all over who I believe to be Lt. Colonel Jeffery. They're with Helen and Tattie at the end celebrating. I truly wanted to see more of them and know more about them from the show's perspective. Especially since Blakely is described a lot in Croz's book as the most GI of GI's but someone who knew how to work hard and still have a good time.

16. If you had kids (pets or otherwise), who would you let babysit? Who would you never let babysit?

Allowed to babysit? Rosie. I don't think I need to elaborate on that. He'd be so good to you your kids, or fur babies. He'd play them jazz and teach them about Artie Shaw and Benny Goodman. For more on this topic, you can read Uncle Wosie by the lovely @winniemaywebber.

Not allowed to babysit is James Douglass. He would try to play catch with your kid and drop them, or take them for ice cream and lose them in a crowd because he's trying to woo a pretty girl at the ice cream stand by asking her What's the difference between a Hippo & a Zippo?

21. Which storyline did you enjoy the most?

I thoroughly enjoyed Croz's story the most. There's a lot of development from when we first see him to when he gets on the plane to go home at the end. Even down to the way he speaks, you see him mature- a lot of that is due to the war. It changes men in ways that no one ever really knows. In the very beginning he's so unsure of himself, air sickness plaguing him on almost every flight. He even feels unsure when he's promoted to Group Navigator and he asks Jack Kidd if he's sure he's right for the job- Kidd replies "no." But we see more of that security and belief in himself in 9 when he kicks down the door. When he's flying the Chowhound mission with Buck and Rosie, sitting in the navigator's seat cool and collected, casually leaning back as he drops his pencil into the pocket on the side. Croz definitely has one of the best developments in the series.
