I like to think that Curly and Jimmy had parallel lives on earth.

That Curly was an only child and his parents died shortly after he became a captain. They got to see his biggest accomplishment but he had no one to really celebrate it with after. Jimmy has siblings and his parents and they didn’t care when he got the co-pilot job cause he’s just the back up. Sure they’re happy for him but no reason to celebrate.

They could both barely afford rent. That’s how it is that late in capitalism and the world the live. The difference is Curly could down size, Jimmy would end up down on the curb. Jimmy had flings and Curly had partners. Both fleeting but Curly pulled away and they left Jimmy.

I like to think they lived parallel to each other in a way they both noticed. Curly felt a kinship and Jimmy felt resentful. Curly worked to make a good deal with what he had and Jimmy scorned his dealt cards and wanted the hand he thought Curly had made.

A bunch of Maxxx headcanons

He experiments on himself a lot.

He has performed an autopsy on himself.

He has serval books of research but it is in wingdings.

He uses Sullied when is working on making some "friends".

He baby talks his messed up creatures.

He knows the best koffee recipe but he keeps in sercet.

He had his own heart in his desk.

He often incorporates various trinkets into inventions.

He uses documents proving addiction is bad has paper to make cigarettes.

He keeps trying to make a love potion so Death will go on a date with him.

Maxxx has serval mind control machines, but they only work on mortals.

maxxx.... unauthorized fucking thing /affectionate

• can walk on all 4s... Why? idk. I can just imagine someone throwing a bag of crack (it's actually flour) and he just walks over there and brings it back in his mouth like a dog

• He/any pronouns + gender fluid (cause he's (possibly) a quantum distortion phenomenon [a agglomeration of multiple personalities, according to pitbook])

• Cat person

• Like to visit Death, Inc. green spaces/gardens (I forgot if they're called that exactly) and tries to search for opium poppies to eat

• Has definitely bitten someone atleast once

• being on a shit ton of drugs, his heart (if it even works) randomly stops sometimes and he'll just drop dead foe a few seconds before getting back up again

• never calls anyone by their proper names cause he's a little shit (Waldo -> Waldorf), except for people he likes

• I can see him referring to himself as "the Maxxx" like "the maxxx is sad 8(" instead of "I am sad"

SHADAHKNKAS saw u in the notes of some kuina posts and that made me realize that there is simply a bond with kuina and tashigi fans, who may even often be the same fan, because AOUGHHH KUINA I CARE HIM SO MUCH episode 19 literally changed me forever. swords + gender struggles are all you need to hook me on a character sometimes Maybe. the whole greatest swordsman promise... sob. also. something about zoro promising his name will reach the heavens and trans kuina. which made me think.. what if kuina and The trans fear of dying then having your deadname on your tombstone that you can't do anything about because you're dead. kuina dying before they even get to figure everything out and all of a sudden he's just known as kuina forever, and then zoro making a name for himself in kuina's honor or something idk (i like zoro's backstory) (KUINA )

THERE ISS. people who theorise that they are secretly related or the same person or direct parallels are so close to getting it but don't imo (no shade to those theories tho, I just personally find them narratively unsatisfying).

like they are parallels in that kuina is symbolic of the sexism people suffer and tashigi is an adult woman who has come out the other end sword swinging but ultimately so unsure of herself as a result. also the (trans)genderisms, we are all hand in hand 🤝.

MAN KUINAS STORY BROKE ME DOWN ON A BASE LEVEL AND REWIRED NY BRAIN. I had to take a break from reading just to let it soak in it's so good, a swordsmans promise indeed, that scene was beautiful, I love zoro the world's first a accidental feminist <3. zoro carrying on her dream with his will never not have me in hysterics.

trans kuina makes me so emotional because ultimately I don't know if they were canonically trans but it's my FAVOURITE 'what if' for them. they never really got to be anyone outside the dojo masters daughter. the failure of a heir and the girl who beat zoro 2001 times. who would they have been if they got to grow up? come to terms with themselves and unlearned all that heavy, painful biases pushed onto them? as a transmasc who's studying into a (cis)male dominated field myself ik, the feelings of 'betrayal' and 'proving misogynists right' and imposter syndrome and inadequacy issues and perfectionism they might've gone through,,, sobbing my eyes out HE MEANS EVERYTHING TO MEE.

zoros backstory is genuinely one of my favourite parts of the manga idc how 'simple' it was it's still beautiful.

gwen and rhys attended ianto's funeral , shortly after the incident at thames house and jack saved the world by sacrificing his grandchild . gwen greeted rhiannon and johnny , rhiannon thanked gwen for attempting to help save the children from the military . during phased two of the british government's plan to mobilise and take the 10% of the poorest children in the uk that were to be given to the 456 . the funeral service was an intimate affair with only family and very select friends . . . gwen , rhys and andy . it was gwen's last public appearance in cardiff before she abandoned it for rhossili . gwen mourned the death of ianto , having a conversation with rhiannon after the service . gwen agreed to stay in contact with them for ianto's sake but it would have untraceable . gwen felt an enormous amount of guilt surrounding the death of ianto , having survived so much with him after owen and tosh .

gwen sent postcards to rhiannon and her family , as well as sending her one of torchwood's cash deposits so they could live more comfortably . the 456 incident changed gwen inherently , she was a few weeks pregnant at the time of ianto's funeral . having decided that gwen cooper had died in the events of september 2009 , gwen's death could never be dated . but she chose the alias to live as yvonne pallister . ianto's funeral was the turning point in her life , how much more death did she need to witness ? she's been to the funerals of all of her friends , younger friends . . . this was the cost of torchwood . she understood that .

dressed in black , she concealed her pregnancy from all of those outside of jack , rhys , andy , mary and geraint . the money she had sent to rhiannon was enough for ianto's niece and nephew as well , making sure that they would be loved and have the luxury of living by better means . it was the least she could do . ianto was gwen's rock after tosh and owen died , she confided quite a lot in him and saw him as a little brother figure . he was courteous , respectful , pragmatic , resourceful and of course , reliable . gwen still sported brunette hair at this point , not officially dyeing it until after anwen was born in 2010 . she would honour ianto's memory by her small act of decency , even though it would never be enough to bring him back .

on the car journey home , gwen spoke fondly of ianto and how brave he was . and out of all of torchwood three , he was the one constant pillar of stability in a world that had been turned upside down . he was always consistent , always so respectful , he was such an incredible man with a heart of steel . gwen had laid a wreath of lilies at his gravesite , something she would do on a yearly basis to remind herself of the sacrifices that had been made . his memory clings to her in a different way compared to tosh and owen , because ianto and gwen bonded through their heritage . they had a shared connection through culture , values , locality , speech and behaviour . she misses his ties the most .

Genuinely loves to help others, even when he isn’t very helpful

Sometimes uses the knife in his head to hold on to/hang certain small things

Sleeping Meme (Repost do not reblog)

Type of bed: A plain king-size bed.

Number of blankets: In the dorms, he sleeps with one blanket, maybe two if he gets too cold because his body temperature is very fucked up.

Number of pillows: One. Two if he gets together with someone. (Unlikely).

Type of clothing: A pair of PJs or his normal clothes if he's too tired to change. He knows his sheets are always clean, so he doesn't care. He's his own person now.

Does it matter where they sleep?: Before he rejoins SEES, since it's the only place we see him hang out, he rents an apartment above the Mahjong parlor place behind the station for a very cheap price. Otherwise, he hates to admit that he's slept on benches before. So it doesn't matter, although beds are more comfortable.

What do they do when they can't fall asleep?: It's pretty normal for him. The first time he does is check the time on his phone, sighs and closes his eyes, trying to go back to sleep. Then he tries lying still and if that doesn't work, he takes a walk around town until he gets sleepy enough.

Frequent dreams, and/or nightmares: Dreams about his days at the orphanage and cooking a new recipe or hanging out with his old friends are rare and he doesn't recall them in the morning. But nightmares are a different story, having to do with Miki's death, Ken dying instead of him (when he's in a coma) and so much more vivid stuff he does recall.

Deep slumber or naps?: He has no time for naps, although you might catch him doing so in the lounge if he's exhausted. Deep slumbers are rare, even within the dorm.

When do they sleep?: Usually around 9-10pm. He suffers from insomnia that keeps him up at night, but he has a strict bedtime schedule unless he has to go to Tartarus. In which case, it's probably late into the night.

What could wake them up?: His alarm clock. Too much noise and chatter from downstairs. He hates waking up in general since he sees no point in living except for his friends since his future is still unknown. Other than that, if he gets with someone, a kiss or some cuddles will do nicely.

random complexion additionally connected to the last mission.

Geto never graduated from Technical College. He was still there for his 3rd year, and after the death of Haibara, he stopped wearing school uniform entirely. His outfit consisted foremostly of casual white shirt, black pants (*and because I go strictly with his Manga depiction he does not wear baggy pants anymore but normal ones; either jeans or tech), and the school badge as a sign of his allegiance to demonstrate where necessary (*exactly the one he dropped on the floor and that was gathered as further evidence against him). By the way - the badge was dropped there purposely. He would leave it there for others to find ... and as a symbol of his dying youth and rebirth of his newer / stronger self. The last mission arrangement made him quit school prematurely and shortly after turning 18 y.o. Shoko and Satoru graduated alone; without him.

Most residents of Jekkad-- Now named Hell after it became corrupted today only know this man as the Traitor Prince. But those who remain loyal to Kahann recognize their empire's former heir as one who would walk among the common folk, rather than display the lavish regality that Davoth much more preferred.

• way too used to military rations that any normal food (well as normal as food can get down there) is super flavorful to him

• if he ever wanted to ride a horse into war, he'd have to resort to a pony cause he's too tiny for a regular horse

• fills up on bread rolls and butter from Hexus Roadhouse

• if Pump, or really any plant, is around him long enough, they'll start to rot/wilt

• surprisingly a big cat person (still loves slyma ofc)

• used to be a big smoker when he was alive but stopped after lighting himself on fire in the afterlife (cause he's made of naphtha, which is flammable lol)

• Death, Inc.'s biggest stoner

• speaking of weed, can roll the most perfect joints

• Probably hasn't washed his cloak(? wizard gown or whatever) and hat in forever

• Doesn't wear anything underneath his gown (besides boxers ofc)

• looks super underweight when in small form (think captain cuttlefish from splat 1)

• was a DM for a D&D game one time but everyone quit playing with him cause he made everything too difficult (cheeky bastard 🙄)

• loves making bets with other people (he wins like 99.9999% of the time)
