Hello everyone. Unfortunately it is my birthday today so I decided to celebrate with an indulgent, angsty CrossDust drawing because who likes growing up, am I right??

The Ancient Danger had two megaspiders, a spelopede, and four random naked Ancients. The two Ancients who were still alive were promptly shoved back into their cryptosleep caskets because ain't nobody got time for that.

Kwahu tucked himself up inside one of the newly vacated caskets, where he will sleep safely until his duplicate sickness can be cured.

Wow, that was far more anticlimactic than I was imagining

Nonetheless, Mechi is healed!! No more will he be plagued by nosebleeds and nauseating psychic connections to his new twin. In about six days, Melissa can heal Kwahu as well, and everything will be hunky-dory.

Things do get better.

Life can be cruel and unforgiving, like a writer killing off the most beloved characters and making everyone suffer through a lot. Yet every bad moment eventually shall pass.

We don't stop reading a book, just because the writer made things seem grim for a bit. We shouldn't stop living just because we're afraid it'll get worse.

Things can go badly, sure, but they can also turn out for the better. You can also survive.

Even giving up for a day, a month, a year, does not mean your life is not worth living.

It doesn't mean you're gonna be stuck here forever. It just means that for now, maybe for a long time now, things have been rough.

And you need a break, and a hug.

And someone to tell you, that you are very much loved, even if Life (as the most bitter and inspired writer) has decided to take it out on you.

You are loved, you're not weird, and you deserve good, beautiful, lovely things.

Hira's year in medical review:

Me, August 2023: *experiencing extreme fatigue, fainting spells, mood swings, sudden and drastic increase of suicidal thoughts, and intense hair loss*

P.A: let's do blood work

Me: ok!

Bloodwork: *normal except for prolactin*

Doctor: sometimes that's a fluke so let's retest

Me: ok

Bloodwork: *exactly the same*

Doctor: your values are higher than normal range, but not high enough to be in range for a pituitary gland tumor.

(P.A: go see an endocrinologist and get an MRI, that might be indicative of a pituitary gland tumor.) <- bless this person and only this person in particular

Endocrinologist, seen earliest available which was January 2024: *wants to retest blood work instead of ordering an MRI*

Me: ... ok

Bloodwork: *the same*

Me: can we please do an MRI now?

Endocrinologist: Well. Your values are above the normal limit, but it's highly unlikely that's it's a pituitary gland tumor because they are not high enough for that. Let's retest blood work in four months.

Me: ...................... ok

Bloodwork, May 2024: *THE SAME*

Endocrinologist: hmm, I recommend an MRI

Me: *gesturing angrily*

MRI, June 2024: 🎉 pituitary gland tumor 🎉

Doctor, when I went in for something else: I doubt your endocrinologist will want to treat that, we typically don't treat adenomas that small

Endocrinologist, who took 3 weeks to review my results: I recommend just monitoring. It's highly unlikely that this is causing your symptoms, it's too small for that.

So this episode was about teachers committing to and caring about their students, and district people too, and I love that :'). Sometimes all you need is a district person who will keep putting in the effort like that, and I love when it happens for people <33

Anyway! I'm so glad they got the interpreter for Amani, she so deserves it :'D. Everyone does :').

I'm glad Gregory decided to let them stay :') I think he can really help these kids out and be a good place for them :)) :D

Also proud of Tariq for finally calling Nick his name :'D hope they do get close :)

And once again proud of Janine for fighting through it to get the ASL interpreter :')) and the way she did it was so iconic xD same for the parents lol, going to a reporter that already doesn't like the district LOL, but yeah I am so happy for them :D

Btw the reason for the boys being in Gregory's room being that the Mortons are in couples therapy is hilarious xDD

Anyway!! I am distrustful of districts but I hope it works out (with the issues obviously) on the show :). And even though I am I know this side of the story needs to be seen as well so it's nice to see, switches it up on me a bit more than usual. Like, makes me a little more uncomfortable and see it a different way more than usual. Which is good :)

Loved the episode!!! I'm so excited for next week :D

The lads are being cute again. I don't know a whole lot about harps, but I reckon it would be hard to play one with claws and only three fingers on each hand...

I'm no expert, but I think that our android guests are pushing their luck hanging out in the hot spring in the rain. That can't be good for them, right??

Other things that happened today that I didn't get screenshots for (mostly coz I was panicking) and have not drawn include:

The new kid on the block, Henry, had a birthday (on his second day with us) and turned 7. As a birthday gift, he got a bionic leg to replace his wooden foot alongside the 'neat' trait. Lovely!

Eureka got raided by waster pirates, and as we were still recovering from the last devastating raid, Albina used a psycast called "Summon Pack" from Vanilla Psycasts Expanded, which (as the name suggests) summoned a pack of manhunter animals to attack the pirates. This was extremely effective and sent the pirates fleeing, with Albina as the only casualty because using the psycast put her in a coma for two hours.

One of the pirates was downed but not killed, and she looked interesting, so we captured her for recruitment purposes. Her name was Zadie, she had cool pink and blue hair, and she was a greedy bisexual rebellious heavy sleeper.

Zadie tried to break out of prison as soon as she could walk again, and while Baz walked over to stop her with his spear, Barghest took a shot at her with his double-barreled shotgun and killed her immediately. Now she's dead, and he's ridden with guilt about it because she was apparently an "innocent prisoner".

It's been a very exciting day, all in all!

Saturday Six (Stuff)

But on Sunday

The Farmer's Market was slow AF again yesterday. But it was also hot as hell too. Though I did get quite a few people talking to me, which was great. Idk, this year has been very strange. (゜-゜)

Speaking of work being strange, idk what to do about my accountant. She still hasn't got my sales tax put in to the state dept of revenue, nor are my federal taxes done. I'd fire her but she's a family friend. Ugh. (；¬д¬)

I do not like this record breaking heat were having. Neither does my air conditioner.(･｀ｪ´･)つ

My annoying neighbor who has, for the 7 years that I've lived here, put out his leftover food "for the birds", has now recently put out an aluminum pan for food. Welp, naturally this attracts rodents. And other stray animals. My cat Reggie does not mind the occasional rodent, and has recently caught a few rats and left them for us. Ugh. On Thursday there was a bit of commotion (people grabbing loudly) outside, and I was looking for Reggie anyway due to it being firework day, so I looked to see what was up. It was a mother effing snek!!!! Ugh. So yeah, he's got sneks coming around, because of all the rodents. In all the years, we've never seen one here until now. I'm very upset to say the least. And I'll be talking to my landlord tomorrow. ヽ(●-`Д´-)ノ

My parents had a birthday/anniversary party yesterday and I had probably THE WORST deviled egg of my life. ヽ(ﾟДﾟ)ﾉ

I keep torturing myself by looking at houses for sale. It's really frustrating.(´Д｀)
