emma made me viscerally uncomfortable from season 3-6 and the reason is because it was like watching a barbarian multiclass as a cleric. like girl stop with the magical energy blasts!! just hit him with your sword!!! punch him in the face!!!!

I recently pointed out some really unusual flowers in a house's front garden we were passing by to my mother, asking what they were, and she went over and fawned over them and we have now figured out exactly what they are and she wants to try to grow them.

The thing is, I don't like them at all! I think they're kinda ugly! Why did I point it out!

#turned out they were Himalayan blue poppies but not normal ones #a specific variety called Susan's Reward which are an unusual lilac colour instead of blue #which is a beautiful colour but the thing is they also have really big obvious orange anthers which looks ugly #it ruins it #rip lmao #I am extremely picky and have strong opinions about cultivated flowers #wild flowers are almost all pretty 💜 cultivated flowers are either amazing or way too much / weird #draco speaks #btw dahlias are a great example of that effect. i absolutely love so many dahlias and I absolutely hate so many others #there's thousands of varieties out there in all kinds of extremes and it really is... there's no accounting for taste. lol.

trying out a new type of watercolour paper so dave gets to be my guinea pig

#art #traditional art #watercolour #oc art #ocs #oc group: dave #oc: dave #im trying out some of the fluid student grade stuff. i like their fluid 100 fully cotton stuff but if i can find a non 100% cotton paper #that works well with my painting style my wallet would appreciate it LOL so far it seems good!#i paint kinda weird because i hate lifting so much i dont do it and i hate when it accidentally happens #its a technique that has a lot of uses but none for me HJFDHBFSKD if i make a mistake and i dont wipe it away fast enough with my finger #then its just there now. it was meant to be LOL but yeah i dont do lifting so i get like #irrationally angry when im trying to layer something and it lifts. which is always a problem i have with watercolour paper thats not 100 #cotton. and also for some reason the mixed media paper i use does well with layering too so i like it #but if i can find a nice thick not as wrinkly cellulose paper that lets me layer that would be very nice hJFJDKJFD #but i'll need to to test out this paper more. its promising it let me layer pretty well with daves skin (tho the shading is a little light)#(but thats because i put too much water in the mix RIP) and it seems the colours that are supposed to stain arent lifting which is good #(so many watercolour papers ive used have made my most staining of staining pigments lift which always bugs me LOL)#but we shall see!
