Do you think he’d be overjoyed when he realizes that oh, i can finally pick up my daughters with my bare hands.
Does he cry when he finally gains the strength to hold them like the father he is?

Just watched the new episode and it's amazing! In that scene with the explosion… am I the only one who thought of Akaza when I saw the blue-pink snowflake melting in the air?

So, the last generation hashira. I'm curious about the order they became a hashira. A lot of people have done this I think, but I'm still going yap about what I think. This might be wrong tho. (Just REALLY need to get this out to someone.)
I think it's safe to say that among the last generation hashira Gyomei is the first to become a hashira, right? He's a hashira at 19, thats 8 years before the end (last ep of hashira training arc). If it's 8 years then Tengen was 15 which means he likely was still in the Uzui family doing shinobi stuff because the head appoints you 3 wives at 15 (taisho era secret). He's still in the process of running away from home with his 3 lovely wives, I guess. If it's 8 years then Giyuu was 13, then he was at final selection with Sabito (ep 2 hashira training arc).
Tumblr media
From Sanemi's first pillar meeting, we can see Giyuu, Tengen, Gyomei, Kanae, and ofc the freshly minted hashira Sanemi. The order would be Gyomei, Tengen or Giyuu, then Sanemi. Because Kanae is still the hashira, meaning Shinobu wasn't a hashira yet.
Tumblr media
From Rengoku's gaiden pillar meeting, Kyojuro can see 5 hashiras when attending the pillar meeting after his father stopped attending the pillar meeting. Kanae was replaced by Shinobu and Kyojuro wasn't a hashira yet. The gaiden is the story of how Kyojuro became a hashira in spring (the smell of sakura flower...cries). So the order here would be Gyomei, Tengen or Giyuu, Sanemi, Shinobu, then Kyojuro.
After Kyojuro would be Obanai, Muichiro, or Mitsuri. I don't know the order though... I think Muichiro is after Kyojuro but idk. Because he became alone at 11 right? His demon attack was in summer. His birthday is in August, summer. Which means the demon attack was right after he turned 11 in August, summer or at summer before August, his 12th birthday. After that he was in recovery at Ubuyashiki's mansion. He started practicing swordmanship with his injuries not healed yet. After that he became hashira in 2 months. The time between the demon attack and he becoming a hashira should be rather short. I think he either (1) just turned 11, gets attacked, then became a hashira before 12 (...so young) (2) was 11 before August, gets attacked, turned 12 at August and then became a hashira after that (with Rengoku and Mitsuri timeline, most likely) (3) was attacked in June at 11, became a hashira before August, and turned 12 (no matter how fast Muichiro is, most unlikely). With the most likely possibility (2), Kyojuro became hashira at spring when he was 18 (his birthday in May) and Muichiro was 11 (that spring). Then summer that year Muichiro got attacked and turned 12 at August and after that became a hashira (in that same year?). Muichiro is fast rising in ranking so I think it's Kyojuro-Muichiro-Obanai but it could also be Kyojuro-Obanai-Muichiro. There isn't much to work on with Obanai so I don't know for sure.
But I think Mitsuri is the last in order. In the Rengoku gaiden timeline, Mitsuri was a Mizunoto, training with Kinoe Kyojuro under the cherry blossom blooming at the Rengoku house. She was 17 when her marriage proposal got cancelled. After 17, she found the demon slayer corp and joined. It took her 6 months to pass final selection and became Mizunoto. That how it should be, but if THAT year Kyojuro was 18 at May, Muichiro was 12 at August, then Mitsuri should be 17 at June 1st. Or did she turned 18 that June? Or was Kyojuro 19 when he became a hashira or did Kyojuro became a hashira AFTER spring or was Muichiro got attacked right after he turned 11 and then took almost a year in recovery or was the gaiden timeline messy/not official? I'm so confused...*brain melt* I think it's wrong...
Whichever it is I think Mitsuri is last because at the time Kyojuro became a hashira she was still a newbie Mizunoto. And she first met Obanai because she was lost at the Ubuyashiki(?) mansion then she ask him for direction. So I think Obanai became a Hashira before Mitsuri because he was more knowledgeable than Mitsuri about the mansion.
The final order from that confusing rambling is Gyomei, Tengen or Giyuu, Sanemi, Shinobu, Kyojuro, Muichiro or Obanai, and Mitsuri. This is just my opinion tho. Could be wrong. I wanna know more about the hashira so bad. It's confusing.

demon slayer s4 ep8
this episode was absolutely incredible i just had to come and write about it. the entire season, in my opinion, has been so well done. hashira training arc has always been a favorite of mine and seeing it brought to life has been amazing!
episode 8 was the icing on the cake to an amazing season. one of my favorite things about kny is how it discusses humanity and mortality. this final ep did such a great job at showing the power of human emotions.
Tumblr media
kagaya stands amongst the many demon slayer corp members who have passed while he speaks to muzan about the concept of eternity. as we all know, humans don't live forever and this is very prominent in demon slayer. however, kagaya understands how powerful feelings can be. although many people will die, their dreams and hopes will continue. kagaya does not fear death because he understands his goal will live through the hashira.
Tumblr media
this LINE is one of my favorites ever. for as long as muzan has existed, not one person has forgiven him for what he has done. the anger and grief that people have felt live forever. muzan believes humans are disgusting, inferior creatures but at this moment, kagaya shows that humans are something to be feared. muzan can never understand the lifelong anger humans are capable of. not one person will ever forget what muzan has done, they will never forgive him, they will never show him kindness. humans have used their anger & hatred to dedicate themselves to ending muzan. muzan will never understand this concept. all of these lanterns represent the lives muzan has ruined, falling down all around him while he stands unbothered. there are HUNDREDS of lanterns that float around muzan, so many lives that he has ruined, yet he does not care. but that doesn't matter, because the power of feelings are greater than muzan's indifference. THE POWER OF THE HUMAN SPIRIT IS GREATER THAN MUZAN.
Tumblr media
the art in this scene was insane. the tiger and the dragon morphing into the hashira was done so well. for so long, kagaya has waited for this moment to take down muzan and we see in this scene how the goals and feelings of the hashira have formed into a beast of its own. despite muzan living for so long, he can never comprehend the power of human emotions. as i said before, human emotions have the ability to transcend time. humans affect one another; they understand their lives are short, yet live to pursue their own goals no matter what. this is what muzan does not understand.
this scene was so well done i can't get enough of it. this was such a great episode and is definitely my favorite one so far! the manga was already amazing and then ufotable was able to animate it into this insane piece of media i can't get over it!!
overall 10/10 scene. 10/10 episode. i love demon slayer.

“Before that happens, I need you to hear me out.  I have a younger brother named Senjuro. Please tell him to follow his heart and walk down the path he feels is right. And tell my father that I want him to look after himself. And lastly, about your sister [Nezuko], know that I believe in her. I accept her as part of our ranks. Your sister shed blood to protect the people inside that train from demons. And anyone who does that, regardless of what is said to the contrary, is a rightful member of the Demon Slayer Corps. So, hold your head high. If you are feeling disheartened, that you are somehow not enough, set your heart ablaze. Dry your eyes and look ahead. You may feel like digging your heels in, but the flow of time waits for no one. It won't patiently stand by as you grieve. Don't feel bad that I'm going to die. As a Hashira, it's natural I'd protect you all. The young buds must be allowed to bloom. Any other Hashira would have done the same as I. Young Kamado, Young Boar, Boy of Yellow, you must continue to grow and eventually you will end your aid by becoming the next Hashara. I believe in each and every one of you.” -          Kyojuro Rengoku, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train arc (Ep. 07)
The Toonami Trending Rundown for December 2023. In a moment two years in the making and at one point we’d thought would never happen, Toonami would finally air the finale of Demon Slayer’s Mugen Train arc.
For the night of December 2-3, #Toonami would trend in the USA on Twitter alongside Dr. Stone and IGPX. #Toonani would also trend on Tumblr alongside Demon Slayer. For the night of December 9-10, #Toonami would trend in both the USA on Twitter and on Tumblr alongside both Demon Slayer and Dr. Stone, while IGPX would trend just on Twitter. And non the night of December 16-17 for the final regular scheduled Toonami of 2023 and the season finale of Demon Slayer, #Toonami would trend in the USA alongside Demon Slayer and Dr. Stone.
The nights of December 23-24 and 30-31 were holiday marathon nights, as the block aired the entire Mugen Train arc on the 23rd as well as a Dr. Stone: New World marathon on the 30th. No trends appeared during those nights.
If you wondered why it took so long for Toonami to air Season 2 until this point, I posted an Op-Ed on Toonami Squad titled “The 2020’s Anime and Streaming Service Bubble Burst,” as I look into the controversies regarding the Warner Bros Discovery merger, the Funimation-Crunchyroll merger, their respective effects on Toonami, and how what’s going on with both could lead to another anime bubble burst, and one for streaming services overall.
I’m unfortunately running a bit late on Trending Rundowns, so expect the July editions to be posted in the come days. Until next time, congratulations to the Columbus Crew on winning the MLS Cup and stay gold.

Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc – Ep 8 Review
Muzan finally confronts the ailing Demon Corps leader, Kagaya Ubuyashiki. Episode 8 is longer and more intense, setting the stage for the upcoming "Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle" movie trilogy.
Follow us on Twitter | Instagram “Finally, you have come to me. And now you are standing in front of me, Muzan Kibutsuji. The demon that my family, the demon slayer corps has been pursuing for a thousand years.” – Kagaya Ubuyashiki. Well, this has to be the most anticipated episode in Demon Slayer series history, especially after that spooky, dramatic long walk of slow demonic deliberation by…

New anime season is upon us and I am yet to even start Apothecary Diaries, A Sign of Affection and Dungeon Meshi 🤣 Still not finished Ep. 18 of Frieren as well🫣
But these are the anime I will attempt to follow weekly (ATTEMPT IS THE KEY WORD I HATE BEING AN ADULT!!)
Kuroshitsuji - obvs I waited so long for a new season, I will sacrifice sleep, mental health, office work everything for this.
Hibike Euphonium S3 - same reason as above, i'm literally watching the last movie right now KUMIKO I MISSED YOU!!!
Mission Yozakura Family - looove the manga, can't wait to see how it's adapted.
KNY Hashira Training Arc - The way they made us wait till May after giving us a taste in February like????
And hopefully in the background I can start my pile from prev. season as well. Maybe Imma drop Frieren for now entirely so I can move forward lol I don't find it fun enough without Stark ☹️
These are the anime I will watch once the season has ended and some decent reviews have come out:
Wind Breaker
Kaiju No. 8
Hananoi Kun
Byoukyaku Battery
Girls Band Cry

This may be a dumb question but I’ve been a fan of demon slayer for 8 years it’s the only fandom I’ve been in and it’s helped me through my eating disorder as well as self harm. I don’t know what I’d do with out it and lately I just got said realizing the manga is almost all animated. Do you think people will still write fanfiction after it’s all animated? Like do you think I’ll still find a way to get comfort and content even when it’s over
hello sweet anon!
let me tell you this first: that’s not a dumb question at all.
but, i can’t really assure you “there will be loads of people who will still write for it in such actively manner” but i can tell you this, due to his success i want to believe so!
anyway, we’re just getting the swordsmith village arc eps now, and there’s still the hashira training arc (if we don’t get it alongside the swordsmith one) and then the final battle arc to see in the anime, so i think it will go on at least til 2025…
that because ufotable is being rather quickly at animating it, after all the entertainment district arc came out between the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022, and just an year later we’re getting the third season (:
that’s the only reason why i expected the approximate two new seasons to come out between 2024 and 2025 but i may be wrong bc someone said that there might be a movie and then a final season (not really sure about that lol, i apologise, so don’t take it too seriously when i speak about a movie)
that being said, everyone can’t deny that demon slayer is getting more and more success. there’ll always be new people getting closer to it, reading the manga or watching the anime (or both) so there are high chances that there will be new fanfics coming and you’ll in fact keep getting comfort from this beautiful universe
i hope this comforted you a bit <3 i’m sending you a big hug
[sorry if some parts doesn’t make sense but english isn’t my first language lol]
