Watch "MR BEAST IS STANDING BY CHRIS" on YouTube
youtube
With the whole transphobia hate toward Chris recently, the main positive is seeing their predominantly cis male allies defend Chris from the transphobia.
Love Chris and everyone online supporting them.
Fuck transphobia, for real.
I also recognise that there is such a huge emphasis on the "father figure" on the "male role model" that a boy needs man to function in society. And I'm like no that is just pachriarchy and toxic masculinity.
Children need a support network of loving adult which can vary from parents to aunts, uncles cousins, grandparents out to the wider community of friends.
To be given food and shelter love, respect in order to grow into a functional person.
Chris transitioning does not make them a bad parent, friend, person or bad coworker. In fact it transitioning allows them to be their happier authentic self.
What make people look bade are the hateful transphobes who try to take away Chris happiness because they started medical transition.
So fuck transphobes again.

I've heard of only five, mostly because MrBeast is everywhere on the news lately, Kai Cenat pretended to blew up his living room with more production budget than I will ever have, Pokimane repeatedly pops up in the "recommended" sidebar on Twitch, Hasan Piker is refreshingly more to the left than your typical internet political commentator and Anthony Fantano is a stale meme already, enough for me to mash his catchphrase with the character of Brian Fantana from Anchorman: "Brian Fantana here, internet's stinkiest cologne nerd."
Love it when Rolling Stone puts out an article about the 25 most influential internet creators and I've only heard of 7 of them

there's something deeply perverse about how there are people who've made themselves famous and wealthy by preaching communism or socialism into their webcam while doing nothing, while mr beast says "i'm not going to sit around and do nothing about this" and pay for people's eye surgeries and clean drinking water.
i dare hasan piker to pay for one person's cataract surgery instead of buying another ugly designer shirt. sit next to them in their hospital room. you care, right? show it.

MrBeast Sparks Criticism After Helping 1,000 Blind People See Again Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast, has made a career out of documenting his good deeds on his YouTube to over 130 million subscribers. From giving people cars to donating extraordinary amounts of money to everyone from everyday people to influencers, he is on the extreme end of generosity on the platform. Donaldson took it to another level on January 28 when he posted a video about restoring the sight of over 1,000 blind people. There are many different kinds of blindness, and some are treatable. According to a SEE International surgeon featured in the video, most sight-impaired people with cataracts only need a ten-minute surgery to be able to see again. Unfortunately, barriers such as finances and location prevent many people from getting the proper care they need. In partnership with the organization, Donaldson paid for a thousand people's surgeries, even offering some of them an extra $10,000 dollars. Related | MrBeast Surpasses PewDiePie As Most-Subscribed YouTuberHowever, the feel-good video also sparked a conversation about philanthropy on the internet, healthcare and more. Some pointed out that Donaldson uses his charity to avoid paying taxes. None — PeopleOverProperty (@PeopleOverProperty) 1675032894 Twitch streamer Hasan Piker explained that the video fills him with "rage" because it highlights how most life-saving care is blocked by a "paywall" and it takes a YouTuber doing it for content to help people. In 2021, Donaldson reportedly made $54 million on the video platform alone. “Twitch streamer Hasan explained why he’s filled with rage from watching MrBeast’s newest video where he cures 1,000 people’s blindness” — Dexerto (@Dexerto) 1675098713 And the ethics of filming a good deed has been brought up again as people still debate whether monetizing charitable acts or using them for views negates the impact of what was done. “I will cure your blindness on the condition I get to film and exploit your emotions. Also it's good for my business.

Join us next week on Mr Beast when I dangle a $1000 in front of some homeless dude and say he can have it if he tells everyone to like and subscribe” — Stych (@Stych) 1675018913 “The dude who goes by Mr. Beast (idk his real name) could just simply pay for people's surgeries and not film it for content as an exchange. If he was truly doing it to help people he wouldn't monetize the content. It's gross and highly manipulative. I said what I said.” — Antonia. (@Antonia.) 1675102139 Donaldson responded to the criticism on Twitter, confirming he has seen the intense conversation around his history-making act of kindness. “Twitter - Rich people should help others with their money

Me - Okay, I’ll use my money to help people and I promise to give away all my money before I die. Every single penny.

Twitter - MrBeast bad” — MrBeast (@MrBeast) 1675119794 Some people came to the YouTuber's defense, making sure that his good deed didn't go unnoticed. “I don’t care about Mr. Beast I genuinely barely know anything about him, his platform, whatever.

All I’m gonna say on the matter is that if monetizing good deeds is the means by which 1000 PEOPLE are literally CURED of BLINDNESS, I am 100% okay with monetizing good deeds.” — [HB] RAINEY™ (@[HB] RAINEY™) 1675201519 “The Mr Beast situation should make it painfully obvious, that you just gotta do what you want, regardless of what people say. You could find the cure for cancer, and some people will still be upset with you.” — Mightykeef (@Mightykeef) 1675177062 For what it's worth, Donaldson himself seems to agree that the government should step in. “I don’t understand why curable blindness is a thing. Why don’t governments step in and help? Even if you’re thinking purely from a financial standpoint it’s hard to see how they don’t roi on taxes from people being able to work again.” — MrBeast (@MrBeast) 1675088051 For what it's worth, it shouldn't take a miraculous act of charity for people to access care. According to the nonprofit organization MyVision, the average cost of cataract surgery is $3,500 and $7,000 per eye. Insurance can help cover some of the cost depending on the plan, if the patient's deductible has been met and the condition that is causing the blindness. Certain eye conditions are not covered by insurance and sometimes even seemingly necessary procedures can be deemed cosmetic or unnecessary, leaving the patient to shoulder the high cost.Below, watch MrBeast's original video.Photo courtesy of Dave Kotinsky https://www.papermag.com/mr-beast-controversy-2659336797.html

i found the article and it is like actually just a ridiculous list
kai cenat
rhett and link (good mythical morning)
mr beast
nara smith
duke dennis
alan chikin chow
pokimane
alix earle
keith lee
theo von
anthony fantano
plastique tiara
druski
jake shane
hasan piker (hasanabi)
wisdom kaye
omar herz show
toni bravo
RDCWorld1
monet mcmichael
aliyah's interlude
reece feldman
mandy lee
nimay ndolo
wendy guevara
I recognised 10 (had to be reminded about anthony fantano and keith lee)
I cannot fathom why nara smith (the mormon tradwife who got popular because she would make snacks for her toddlers from scratch with all natural ingrediants) is in FOURTH while IShowSpeed, KSI, Caseoh_, QTCinderella (for her events), Brittany Broski, any Vtuber, etc (<-- that is a VERY big etc) aren't even mentioned.
Also while Rhett and Link definitely deserve a place on an all-time list, I don't see what they have done this year to get second place
At least Kai Cenat is in first place considering the popularity of the linguistic contributions he is largely responsible for

I know I'm late for reblogging this, but I actually recognise 4 of these names, though I've never consumed any of their content. I know people IRL who are fans of Mr. Beast, Aliyah Interlude & Pokimane (not the same people). Hasan Piker is someone I only know about the same way the person I reblogged this from knows about him, he has being called out on Tumblr numerous times for his antisemitism.

Actually counted 8 and was suprised. Aliyah’s Interlude (made Aliyahcore & the It Girl song), Hasan Piker (usually does commentary streaming), RDCWorld (makes skits and the creators of DreamCon), Druski (does comedy sketches), Plastique Tiara (Drag Queen), Keith Lee (food critic who I only know cause I thought ppl were constantly referring to the wrestler Keith Lee), Pokimane (I actually don’t watch her but she’s one of those Twitch streamers that always gets advertised), and I know who Mr Beast & Kai Cenat are against my will lol
