At first glance, the winner is "Legolas is the life of the party" (16.2%). However, that misses that 83.8% of voters favored a much more awkward version of Legolas. This is another great example of how ranked choice voting (RCV) would be a good idea in a system where the winner is whoever gets the most votes (a plurality) rather than a majority (50%). In the notes, there were some good arguments for various hobbits as Legolas' conversation partner, but I was particularly taken by @269-million's vision:

Going with realistically; it'd be a child hobbit, most likely. They'd be most inclined to be openly curious about the Elven stranger at that age, and there's a good chance that the talk on Legolas' part could in fact stay small, once the child thought they had a rapport going. All he'd have to do is answer a few questions and then listen as the child babbled on about something they considered impressive.

Similarly, @trickster-shi suggested:

Finally, it's interesting to compare this poll's results with the companion poll featuring Sam. In that one, "Sam talks to multiple elves quite successfully" garnered 27.6% of the votes. Clearly, fandom believes Sam to be the more outgoing and socially risk-taking of the two Fellowship members. I just think that's interesting.

Those of you who voted for "Legolas and Gimli got 'elvish married' at the Black Gate," good news! There is already fanfic for this exact scenario, inspired by the Black Gate's previous loss! @enide-s-dear did a great job making this obviously terrible and definitely non-canonical idea seem not just plausible but also very sweet and emotional, in a kind of desperate, we're-gonna-die-anyway sort of way.

Next, a moment of silence for the options ("Ungoliant," "Denethor") that actually got worse results in this poll than they did in their original losing polls. Ouch.

*I couldn't think of a better way to word that, but I mean like. If I only opened comissions for stages sketches through flats, but you wanted shading, or something. Or if I end up deciding certain kinds of commissions won't work for me and have to put up restrictions.

The second I'm able I'm probably going to be opening them, so I'm just kinda feeling out where interest lies! I don't know how I'd be pricing things just yet, honestly? My brain seems kinda caught on "$5 for a quick sketch is a good starting point" but we'll see what happens, since I'm uncertain what the reasonable price escalation from there is to me- also, I have a tendency to go overboard on my sketches naturally, so. We'll See.

Another thing that'll probably be coming is a kofi for tips and requests! But do keep in mind that I just specified requests and not commissions- they'd be in no way guaranteed, I'd just feel a little more pressured on account of your kindness lol
