My parents and I went to a shopping fair in a small village and my parents kept buying Miku bodypillows with Steve Harvey's face while I got increasingly more stressed because they were outrageously expensive.

Lately, I've been thinking about Stardew Valley and I just adore the thought of the new farmer being an age regressor while all the other farmers pretty much take care of them! I'm probably going to draw more content around this concept since I absolutely love Stardew Valley!
I'd love to know if you guys have a favorite farmer, mine is Elliott ^^

I really enjoyed Batman: Caped Crusader. I was worried (like everyone else) that Bruce Timm would push his Bruce/Barbara obsession, but they barely interact when Bruce is out of costume, and he’s all business as Batman. Barbara is (presumably) about the same age as Bruce in this adaptation, she’s a young public defender, who still lives at home with her dad. Commissioner Gordon is mentioned to have 30 years on the Gotham police force at one point. And the series is loosely based on Batman: Year One by Frank Miller, and has Matt Reeves as a producer. It’s definitely an interpretation of the early years of Batman.
The setting is vaguely and aesthetically set in the 1940s, mirroring the original Batman and riffing on DC comic stories and character interpretations from that time. Clayface’s story and appearance is based on the original interpretation of the character, which I really enjoyed - especially as someone’s who’s read the first couple years of the original Detective Comics/Batman stories. (There’s also a lot of great references to the Adam West show, and a couple of its themes are reimagined for this more noir story.)
I could see the series setting up something between Bruce and Barbara potentially, but their interactions are really blink-and-you’ll-miss-it. There’s a moment where Bruce’s is climbing back onto the Iceberg Lounge yacht and he uses a pick up line on her, which she scoffs at, then he proceeds to use the line on two other young women. There’s another moment that you could say is pre-flirting, or is at least setting up a foundation to further a relationship between the two. Where Barbara makes a comment about Batman letting himself into her office unannounced whenever he feels like it, and she tells him she needs a way to contact him, and he gives her the Batphone number. At this point I think you could make more of an argument for a Harleen/Barbara pairing than her and Bruce.
I think the characters would both individually need a lot more development to be in a romantic relationship. I’ll say this even though I know it will be an unpopular opinion: in this interpretation I wouldn’t mind putting Bruce and Barbara together. I know that’s practically sacrilege coming from someone who’s favourite character is Oracle but hear me out.
My main issues with Bruce and Barbara together (especially when it comes to Timm’s work) is the age difference. It’s often debated but Barbara in most iterations (including current comic canon) is around the same age as Dick, usually a couple of years older, 2-3 at most. Bruce is depicted as having at least 15 years on her, if not more. And most stories that have Bruce and Barbara together also fixate on her being batgirl. Then there’s the tendency to make a Nightwing-Batgirl-Batman love triangle which I don’t want to get into but I hate completely.
None of that is happening here. Barbara has her own storylines that are just as prominent as Bruce and Harvey’s. She’s an adult with agency and flaws and is just as fleshed out as any of the other characters are. I wouldn’t be surprised if the show takes a season or two to develop a romantic relationship between the two of them. Bruce is completely focused on being Batman and sees Bruce Wayne as a persona. He’s callous with peoples feelings (Harvey, notably) and is shown to struggle with smaller acts of empathy, opening himself up to people, and honestly, social skills. The last of which doesnt doesn’t affect him too negatively because he’s a rich and well known man in Gotham.
Compared to the Bruce Wayne of BTAS it was a smart choice to show a Bruce/Batman who struggles with people and emotions. It reminded me a lot of Reeves’ the Batman. In wider Batman media you usually see two types of depictions: a compassionate Batman (which is where I would place BTAS) or a more emotionless, be-stoic-and-punch-the-bad-guys-and-look-badass version that is usually just a male power fantasy.
This version of Batman sets up the foundation for a storyline that is relatively unexplored, and I’m sure they’re going to explore it more in the next season (which has already been greenlit).
I was surprised at the lack of adult themes in the show, it was marketed for an adult audience but could easily fit into a PG13 rating, but that was probably on purpose. I was impressed they managed to have so many strong, fleshed out storylines in only 10, 30 minute episodes. But I wouldn’t expect anything less of Bruce Timm, or some of the other names I recognized attached to the project in various ways (Greg Rucka, JJ Abrams, Matt Reeves, and Ed Brubaker).
While there are a lot of critiques of Timm I agree with, I generally enjoy his work and the care he puts into it. I love Greg Rucka and was really excited to see that he wrote the episode that was more Renee Montoya centric. And while I have my issues with Ed Brubaker, I do enjoy his work.
While the series is visually and technologically based around the 1940s, the politics are more modern. Harleen asks Renee out on a date and she talks about it with Barbara openly. I saw one review call the show “race blind” which I would not agree with. Most of the racism is implied through euphemism (the scene with Lucius Fox and Gentleman ghost), but it’s still felt as a point of friction for multiple characters, it affects how they interact with the world around them. There’s also a line spoken by either detective Flass or Bullock that implies no one in the GCPD wants to follow Renee because she’s gay. It’s cut off before the last word, but again, the meaning is implied.
An issue I always had with the Timmverse is its depictions of female characters. They always feel less real than their male counterparts, less important and less visually stylized. All the important (read: desirable) women have the same body shape. They’re thin and extremely, unnaturally curvy. I’m aware that these characters are supposed to evoke that 50s comic pinup imagery but I always thought it was a bit much. Male characters - even before the animation downgrade in BTAS season 4 - were always way more unique from each other than the female characters. That wasn’t something I felt with Caped Crusader. The three most prominent female characters (Barbara, Renee and Harleen) were all different from each other, with different heights, body shapes, hair and clothing styles. They also all had 3 distinct personalities that were built up through the series. I would argue that the show was as much about the “supporting cast” (characters like Harvey, Commissioner Gordon, Renee and Barbara) as it was about Batman.
Overall I was really impressed by the show. I was disappointed with how short it was. I hope that Renee’s personal life gets a focus with the next season, and I hope they bring back Greg Rucka to write it. I love how he wrote her in Gotham Central. I was a little annoyed that they introduced the Joker at the end of the series (as a peak into the next season). I think he’s too over saturated as a character, and sometimes his introduction into a Batman story takes over everything else, and he’s depicted as Batman’s Moriarty. I do have hope that this won’t happen in Caped Crusader, because it seems that villains will be reoccurring, but there’ll be a large cast, just like in BTAS. That aspect did remind me of the way characters were introduced in those early Batman comics, it really has the same vibe. I also really really do not want Harley to be involved with the Joker in any way. Please keep her as a separate character, this new interpretation of her is great as is, he doesn’t need to be involved.
I would also be interested to see if the show develops Barbara’s character into Oracle. I could see that happening with the introduction of the Joker at the end of season one. Maybe they’re going to rework the Killing Joke? I couldn’t see them having her as batgirl, but I would be interested to see how they worked Oracle into a world with 1940s technology. I’m thinking back to her as Oracle in the Doom that Came to Gotham, and how clever that was. I’m sure they could do something just as interesting with her here. Something more supernatural feels like a long shot, because Timm usually sticks to the more “realistic”, street-level versions of Batman, but they did introduce Gentleman Ghost. So it’s a possibility.
One thing I did think could have been better was some of the voice work. Not the voice acting itself, but the design. It felt too polished alongside the score and the animation. I wish the voice acting had been more atmospheric, had more depth. It felt too clean. Hamish Linklater was great as Bruce/Batman. Following Kevin Conroy is no small feat, and Linklater’s performance felt reminiscent of Conroy without sounding like an impression. It was quiet and unassuming, yet strong.
I’m not usually someone who watches things more than once, but I’m definitely going to be rewatching Caped Crusader soon.

Everyone in the office could see how you and Harvey felt about each other. It was so clear in the way your gazes lingered on each other in partner meetings and how unnecessarily close to each other you’d sit. It was clear in the way he’d bring you your first coffee of the day and you’d bring him a mid-morning bagel from the cart outside the building. Everyone knew these were unspoken agreements, with no idea where they came from, and they never dared question your paired behaviour.
Unbeknownst to the pair of you, there was a betting pool in place for when you’d both finally grow the balls to confess to each other. There were bets on timeframes, who’d confess first, if you’d end up officially together, the whole lot. Even Jessica had got involved, never one to not get into the office gossip and also wanting to see Harvey happy and in love after the way she’d taken him under her wing for years prior.
It was 4:06pm and you were sat at your desk, occupied with preparing for a deposition you were conducting the following day when a movement in your doorway caught your peripheral vision.
“Donna. What can I do for you?” you asked, still half occupied by your work, unsure as to whether this was a serious request or a fresh piece of office gossip. (You were, of course, into the office gossip, too. You just didn’t realise that so much of it revolved around you and your colleague’s relationship.)
“Y/N. Not for me, it’s for Harvey. He wants to pick your brain about something and is asking for you in his office.” Donna was being vague in conveying the message and you weren’t sure if this was because Harvey hadn’t told her or if she was hiding the facts from you. Likely the latter since she was Donna, after all. Caught in your own thoughts, you didn’t notice the devious smile she was giving you, not-so-secretly excited to see you and Harvey alone in his office together. She, of course, was also part of the betting pool (even though everyone thought she’d have an unfair Donna advantage).
“Is it urgent? I’m in the middle of prepping for this deposition and I want to get it done ASAP so that I don’t have to stay late into the night.” You were notorious for pulling late nights in the office. Even though you’d done it countless times and you had plenty of outfits kept in your office just in case, you were reluctant to stay too late tonight.
Donna just shrugged in response. “You know what he’s like. Why don’t you go in there and ask him?”
You grumbled at her words, frustrated that Harvey was all but demanding your presence when you told him you had a busy afternoon planned. You were almost certain that he didn’t need you for anything urgent or important, but you got up from your desk and followed Donna out of your office regardless. When you were at his door, you didn’t even bother knocking before walking in; you just went straight to his desk, standing directly across from him with your arms crossed over your chest.
When he finally looked up at you, he had his trademark cheeky smile and playful glint in his eye. He quirked up one eyebrow, as if he was challenging you to say something.
“You summoned me?” You were pretending to be frustrated with him, but you’d never tell him that you definitely weren’t. Harvey Specter was always a welcomed distraction. You were rather infatuated with him, but you kept it quiet and were planning on permanently keeping that way. You didn’t want to ruin this friendship with more and you certainly didn’t want to risk impacting office dynamics.
What you didn’t know was that Harvey Specter was rather infatuated with you, too.
Everyone else in the office knew. The pair of you were just adorably oblivious to each other and your mutual feelings.
“Sit down, Y/N. I have something for you.”
You eyed him with suspicion, his claim not corroborating Donna’s reason for Harvey needing to see you. Regardless, you took a seat across from him at his desk and watched him expectantly. “Donna said you wanted to pick my brain for something and honestly Harvey, I’m really busy with prepping this deposition and it’s already 4:15 and I haven’t had anything for lun-”
“Lunch?” Harvey cut off your speech while pulling a plastic bag out from under his desk. “I didn’t think you had. That’s what I wanted you for and I knew you wouldn’t get up from your desk on your own accord so I told Donna to tell you that I needed you for work.” He gave you his million dollar smile, the crow’s feet that you also found horribly endearing appearing by his eyes.
You weren’t shocked. Harvey had pulled stunts like this plenty of times before and you had done the same in your own way. The normal procedure was to drop food off to each other but today he took it the extra mile and forced you away from working for the sake of eating with him. Regardless of his kind action, you huffed and rolled your eyes at him.
“You know I’m a competent attorney, just like you, right?” you questioned, leaning back in your chair and raising an eyebrow at him.
“You think I’m only competent? You wound me, Y/N.” He held a hand up to his chest in mock hurt and you reluctantly laughed in response to his action.
“Even competent is a bit of a stretch, but I thought I’d be nice since you got me food.”
You and Harvey shared a lingering fond gaze – one which Donna secretly snapped a picture of from her perfect vantage point. She had countless candids of the two of you like this, her devious mind planning on how to use her gallery of pictures to her advantage someday (hopefully) soon.
Harvey chuckled in response to your quip at him and stood from his desk, bag in hand. “Why don’t you pick out a record and I’ll set the coffee table all nice for our late lunch?” Despite how protective he was over his record collection, you were someone who was always allowed to take your pick of what to listen to when you were in his office.
You walked over to the shelves, knowing exactly what you wanted to listen to – you had gifted Harvey a ‘Sinatra’s Greatest Hits’ record a few months ago and that had become a mutual favourite to listen to together. You set the record up on his record player and Harvey, as promised, set the table to the soundtrack of Strangers In The Night. While he did, you took advantage of the view from his office – gazing at the winter sunset sky over the city.
After a short while, you went to join your colleague at his, now set, coffee table. He had put down a table cover mimicking a classic picnic blanket and set up two plates for your food. In the middle of the table was a dish holding Pasta Ai Quattro Formaggi from your favourite Italian place in the city. Harvey held out a glass for you when you walked over to him and when you sat down on the sofa at the table, he joined you with his own glass in hand. He sat close to you, legs just barely touching, and you tried not to pay it any mind. You were used to being in such close proximity to Harvey and, even though you were deeply affected by it, you were sure it didn’t mean to him what it did to you.
He never let you notice how much he was affected by you, just the same as you were by him.
The pair of you dished out your portions of the creamy pasta and tucked in to your meal, engulfed in a comfortable silence – with only the riveting voice of Frank Sinatra audible in the room.
Once you’d both finally finished eating, you leaned back in your seat, slipping your heels off to get comfortable. Harvey leaned back with you, turning his body slightly to face you, still wearing his million dollar smile and exuding a relaxed confidence. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows and he’d pulled his tie slightly loose for comfort. This was one of your favourite looks on him, though you’d never tell him; this combination, along with how thoughtful he had been and how much he looked out for you, was positively romantic.
“What are you looking at me like that for?” he asked you quietly, not wanting to break whatever spell had been cast over the two of you.
“Nothing. Just wanted to thank you for lunch, that’s all.” You were used to masking your true feelings around him, but this time it didn’t come to you as easily. You didn’t think your excuse would actually hold up and were certain he’d question you on it.
He didn’t. He just enjoyed the way your eyes lit up with stars and how warm and comfortable your gaze was on him. He didn’t care about the reason, as long as you kept looking at him like that.
There was an electricity between the two of you. You both felt it. Without realising, as if there was an invisible string tugging you both towards each other, you both leaned in to each, meeting in the middle in a gentle whisper of a first kiss. He held your face in one hand and you placed your hand on his leg, silently grateful for his proximity.
When you both pulled away from each other, you immediately hung your head, a few strands of hair falling in your face. Harvey just watched on as your cheeks flushed red, before guiding your head to face him so that he could tuck the stray pieces behind your ear.
“I’ve been wanting to do that since the first day I saw you,” he whispered, smiling at you once again. You smiled back at him, heart swelling in your chest.
“Yeah. Me too.”
You were both too caught up in each other to notice the small crowd of your peers gathered outside his office at Donna’s desk, wooping and cheering for you both.

Harvey being your husband would include
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fem! or GN! Reader TW: None
A/N: This is me finally putting into written form the things I think about Harvey doing. Yes I am in love with him, thanks for asking.
Waking up on a cool autumn day, the early morning light peeking in through the window. You see the sight of Harvey in a deep slumber beside you, cheek pressed into the pillow, hair messily strewn across his face and the pillow. The soft sounds of his snores along with the chirping of the birds outside. His eyes flutter and open to see you looking at him, he smiles at you. He rubs the sleep out his eyes and moves his hand to caress your shoulder. He stares into your eyes and traces random patterns on your arm. He asks you what you plan to do while he’s at work and tell you how much he’ll miss you when he’s gone.
After a hard day's work he tells you to take off your shoes for a personal foot massage and a nice cup of tea. He makes sure to remind you to get new shoes so your feet don’t hurt anymore. He moves up to rub your calves, and he tickles you under your knee. You slap his hands away and move to tickle his neck, he pulls you into a bear hug on the floor and you both can’t stop laughing.
Working in the fields during the summer, Harvey is on the porch with a misting fan and a new book. You stop for a moment and call his name. You make your way up to the porch and he pulls out a bottle of water for you. “I love watching you work, you always look beautiful when you work. You take such good care of the farm. I’d like you to teach me more about it so I can help out more.” He smiles up at you, cheeks flushed from the sun, his freckles more prominent.
Loving getting clean with him, showers or baths doesn’t matter to him. He runs a bath for you both, putting in all your favorite salts and scents. A candle or two don’t hurt either ;))) It’s a very large clawfoot tub to accommodate Harvey’s long legs otherwise it wouldn’t be very comfortable. Whether you sit back to chest or across from each other he doesn’t much of preference with that either. The feeling of your back against him and your head next to his is one of the best feelings in the world. Then again being able to look at you from across the tub, flushed from the hot water looking at him with a sweet smile, is everything.
Sneaking off together during the flower dance. Kissing each other breathless behind a tree. Feeling his hands gently cradling your face, he can’t stop giggling as he kisses you over and over again. Once you’ve had enough you fix each other's clothes and head back like nothing happened. Your friends all look at you both with knowing looks and laugh at his poorly redone tie.
Harvey walking around in his comfiest robe on his days off, shuffling in his slippers from his shelf of prized jazz vinyls to the record player on his desk. You watch him from the doorway humming along to the song and opening a new model plane box. He notices you out of the corner of his eye, he pulls you towards him. You both stand chest to chest, his hand behind your back, forehead to forehead. Enjoying each other's presence and gently swaying to the music.

All there was in this place was a burner phone. Harvey didn't know where his went but it wasn't in his pocket anymore. Either it was taken or he dropped it somewhere during his trip. Not typical Harvey Specter behaviour, but he had no idea what was going on.
He tried sending the text five times and every time, it failed, so Harvey moved all over the place until there seemed to be a tiny bit of a signal.
[Text: Scott Lang] I'm scared, I'm scared, I'm scared- Harvey Specter
Harvey wasn't really scared but he figured the more urgent it sounded, the more likely he was to get a response. He doubted explaining his situation, his situation he didn't even know was real, would get anywhere.
After Harvey sent it, he started pacing in his spot and hoped Scott wouldn't think this was a prank someone was playing on him.
