#haru will then be petty about it and bring this up any time he catches rin eating yoghurt or cheese

"is that natto?" rin asks, wrinkling his nose as he watches the other man rip the seal of a small, white plastic container open.
haru just stares at him, blindly reaching for his chopsticks. he tears open several tiny packets that had come with his food and empties them into the container, mixing everything like he's some sort of witch making a love potion in a cauldron. rin tries to tune out the squelching noises it makes and fights the urge to gag.
"don't ask questions you know the answers to," haru chides. "living in australia for a few years doesn't suddenly make you any less japanese."
"no need to get defensive, haru. i was only asking."
the squelching stops. haru lifts his chopsticks and makes a quiet little satisfied hum as his eyes follow the sticky string that stretches between the mixture and the tip of his chopsticks. he brings it to his mouth and tastes it, makes tiny, content smacking noises with his lips before sliding the container across the table.
"it's good," he says. "do you want some? i didn't buy you any."
rin grimaces. "no thank you. i'm not exactly a fan of natto, if you couldn't already tell by now."
haru shrugs, pulling the container back towards him. "it's good," he says again, digging into his meal. "you just don't know how to appreciate good food."
"one could argue that it's an acquired taste, but what do i know? i eat regular food. you're a weirdo who likes weird things."
haru gives him a pointed look. rin takes this as an opportunity to drive his point home.
"you eat mackerel with toast. you're like, the epitome of a weirdo when it comes to food. or liking weird food. and you never eat a balanced meal. you probably have like, i don't know, fish oil running through your veins."
"i don't remember inviting my dietitian to dinner," haru scoffs before taking another small bite of his fermented beans. "and if i'm a weirdo, then that just makes you even weirder."
rin glares at him as if to dare him to elaborate. haru, however, continues chewing on his food, effectively avoiding the need to remind rin that he had chosen to date him. rin hears him anyway. being with haru sharpens the skill of being able to listen even when no words are spoken.
"fine," rin caves, rolling his eyes. "i'll have one bite. just the one."
he pretends he doesn't see the dignified smirk that stretches haru's lips thin as he unceremoniously pushes a large scoop of natto into rin's mildly welcoming mouth.
he also pretends he doesn't drop by a konbini on his way home later to buy two containers of natto, one for haru and one for himself, for when haru decides to grace his apartment with his presence in the weeks to come. maybe having an acquired taste isn't so bad.

P5 Until Dawn AU
Tumblr media
"O Death, O Death... Won't you spare me over 'til another year?"
Inspiration struck upon remembering this gem of a game (took me a bit to save EVERYONE though!!)! Before I start, some notes to keep in mind:
*Character personalities are primarily determined by player choices in the game generally so as a result the P5 Cast will STAY as their respective canon characterizations.
**Given that you can have the whole main cast survive, this will be based on a no-death run except for characters that do die no matter your choices (Ex: Beth, Flamethrower Guy)
***Some story beats will be changed to better accommodate the characters and their personalities... That and small canon complaints (Josh deserved better... Forever bitter about that)
Now let's dive in
Tumblr media
Characters and traits:
Kasumi Yoshizawa
Protective, Passionate, Cheerful
Sumire Yoshizawa
Shy, Trusting, Dreamer
Ren Amamiya
Caring, Adventurous, Resourceful
Ryuji Sakamoto
Loyal, Empathetic, Humorous
Ann Takamaki
Bold, Peppy, Playful
Yusuke Kitagawa
Eccentric, Creative, Blunt
Makoto Niijima
Studious, Brash, Thoughtful
Futaba Sakura
Intelligent, Introverted, Mischievous
Haru Okumura
Ambitious, Loving, Strong
Goro Akechi (Adoptive Brother of the sisters and the oldest)
Complex, Withdrawn, Motivated
Zenkichi Hasegawa
Driven, Inquisitive, Rational
Akane Hasegawa
Rash, Impulsive, Childish
Sophia Amamiya
Curious, Bubbly, Innocent
****I couldn’t figure out a role for Sophia now matter how hard I tried so her being a little sibling to Ren it is!
Others:
Flamethrower Guy- Iwai (Sadly doesn’t survive the story, his motivation for hunting Wendigos is tied to Kaoru though)
Dr. Hill- Dr. Maruki (Starts out patient and empathetic but then grows more unhinged and assertive as the story progresses)
Other Plot Info:
+Zenkichi was hired by the Yoshizawas to investigate the disappearance of the twins on the side along with chaperoning due to his occupation and being a family friend (he was passed out drunk with Akechi at the time of the incident and wants to make up for his mistake). He decides to bring Akane with him in an attempt to bond with her before she enters High School (Aoi is still dead).
+Potential Pairings- PegoRyu and YuMako
Full Plotline still a W.I.P. but so far:
-Akechi was an orphan who was adopted by the Yoshizawas, he immediately grew attached and protective of his new sisters (which naturally becomes warped due to grief)
-Sumire develops a crush on Ren when she gets introduced to the group, he sadly doesn’t return them and sees her as a close friend. Like Hannah, she gets a tattoo of a butterfly at one point.
-As previously mentioned, Zenkichi is a family friend and would often join their getaways with Aoi and Akane until the former’s passing and the latter growing distant from him. After that he mostly chaperones.
Prologue- One Year Ago
-The context for this particular getaway is celebrating Haru, Akechi, and Makoto graduating High School with the others entering either their 2nd or 3rd years.
-The prank is given slightly different context but still not good at all. It’s not out of any pettiness or spite but they thought it would be “funny” somehow (they quickly learn that it really wasn’t and are quick to feel ashamed).
-Ren actually starts to have second thoughts about it and was going to try to stop Sumire but the others give themselves away before he could. Sumire naturally feels upset and betrayed as she impulsively runs off.
-Kasumi meanwhile, catches wind of something being up and briefly sees Sumire run by through a window. She tries to wake a passed out Akechi and Zenkichi but fails, prompting her to investigate.
-The others head out the door, calling after her in concern. Kasumi questions them and when they admit what they did, she gets furious with them and goes to find her sister (they briefly consider going after both of them but feel like that they were the last people they’d want to see (Sumire especially))
-Fast forward to Kasumi finding Sumire, they hear a loud noise and run for it. They get cornered at the end of a cliff and slip, Kasumi being able to grab a branch and catch Sumire.
-A strange person looks down at them, appearing to reach for them. Kasumi panics and lets go, both girls falling into the cave below.
One year later and the real story starts:
Dr. Maruki: So, you have committed to commence with this 'game'. This is significant. And I want to help you see it through. Sometimes... Sometimes these things can be a little scary... Even terrifying... But I am here to make sure that no matter how upsetting things may get, you'll always find a way to work through it.
Tumblr media
That's about it so far guys! I'll admit I had a lot of fun with this one!

Diary of a Junebug
Tumblr media
Let karma deal with the past’s transgressions while we bake pies and have a good time
A little over a week later and I’m back in Peace Coast Island. This time I’m up north so it’s still outside the main city and Daisy Jane and I are staying at an inn that’s not too far from Nene’s place. It’s also close to the Dub Step Pie Club, a place where I haven’t been to in forever, so we’ve been spending a lot of time there.
Mikayla and Kelly have also come to the island to visit. Kelly said she hasn’t visited in a long while, which is a shame because she and Ned used to be partners in crime back in the day. Aside from helping out the consultation office from time to time, Ned hasn’t really traveled much, mainly because he prefers to stay and take care of the bakery. Mikayla has been trying to get him to join the exorcist squad but he’s not too interested.
Trying to find psychics who are well versed with the supernatural isn’t easy so for Mikayla, having any experience no matter how little is good enough. From what I’ve learned from the others, it’s an unpredictable field so there’s no way to really teach people about it - it’s all trial and error. Ned happens to be one of those people who ended up tangled in that world because he’s gifted and so he tries to use his powers to help others. Like most in his position, he has a love-hate thing with his powers as sometimes it can be more of a curse than a blessing. And like with the others, as he got older, he’s learned to accept his psychic powers without denying them or centering his whole personality around that.
However for someone like Taiki, who comes from a family of exorcists, it’s an ongoing battle trying to separate the worlds of the supernatural and reality. Since getting to know him over the years I’m starting to see why there’s a rift between him and his brother. Even though I’ve never met his brother and only know about him mostly from Nene, he comes across as someone whos buried in their work to the point that they have nothing else going for them. Taiki never actually put it into words but that’s the vibe I’m getting from him.
Haru once said something about how betrayal is inevitable once you start to realize the flaws in your upbringing - no question who he was referring to. I’m sure Emmanuelle has a lot to say about that given the amount of betrayals she’s had to deal with.
I have to say, she’s lucky that Mikayla and Satoshi took her in when they found her considering the hell she put herself and Batt through all for the sake of petty revenge. According to Mikayla and Scotch, Emmanuelle’s actually pretty cool when she’s not plotting murder or trying to bring out the worst in people. As for Batt, he may not think highly of himself but the fact that he’s had to deal with Emmanuelle’s manipulative mind games - and managed to survive - says a lot about his strength. Some might consider him oversensitive and too soft but we’re pretty sure that’s what ended up saving him and Emmanuelle.
Now that I think about it, I really should drop by the consultation office someday just to catch up with the others. Satoshi and Scotch have been busy with Aileen and are considering adopting another kid - nothing set in stone on that yet, but they just wanted to put it out there. Ned and Mikayla say that they’re probably gonna go forward with that in the near future so that’s exciting to hear. The last time I saw Aileen was when she was a baby and now she’ll be starting preschool in the fall. Yeah, I’m really overdue for a visit.
Kelly’s still with the jazz band so that’s been her main thing. She’s also a co-host of a lifestyle podcast called Harmonious Style, a freelance writer, and occasional detective. She’s always so out and about, almost the complete opposite of Ned, like two different ends of a spectrum. I’m always intrigued about their past escapades during their high school days, how they went around solving murders and performing exorcisms. It’s kinda sad to say that I can’t imagine them doing that - even they feel like those days are far behind them.
That isn’t necessarily a bad thing though, at least they’re still good friends, it’s just that they want different things out of life. Kelly’s the type of person who likes excitement, to surround herself with friends and keep busy. Ned’s more of a homebody, someone who prefers a leisurely lifestyle while occasionally getting involved in some supernatural shenanigans. Maybe they’ll team up for old times’s sake if a situation calls for it - you never know. But for now, they’re fine with being two old friends who meet up every once in a while.
Before Kelly, Daisy Jane, and I came up here, Ned and Taiki were helping Mikayla out on a mission. It was an unusual one, which was why Mikayla wanted their help. Truth was, it didn’t really have much to do with the supernatural, more like a case study on how cruel and exploitative people can be.
For context, let me go back almost 90 years ago to a young actress and writer named Lia Ren. I don’t remember how I stumbled across her online but I became interested in learning more about her. In short, she died young but left a huge impact, mainly due to the circumstances of her death. All she wanted to do was live life on her own terms after suffering from many setbacks - is that so much to ask for?
Most of her troubles can be traced back to PaperNotes, a small publishing company that used to be quite big back in the day. Lia’s death, along with several other scandals over the years, has caused the company’s reputation to go down the drain. It’s no wonder why they’re now resorting to a publicity stunt in order to stay relevant, though since Lia’s story is making the rounds again, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the final nail to the coffin.
To put it simply, the company was - and still reportedly is - misogynistic, so to them, the idea of a woman writer was outrageous, especially back then. According to a former editor who worked with Lia, the only reason why they decided to publish her book was because they found a picture of her and then suddenly the idea of promoting a woman author was profitable because she was attractive.
The former editor, Lawrence Shun, left the company after Lia’s death and decades later he and Lia’s neighbor wrote a book about her. He was on the fence about publishing it as he didn’t want to make it seem like he was trying to profit off her but then PaperNotes did some anniversary memorial thing that was disrespectful so he retaliated. I haven’t had a chance to read the book yet but from what I’ve heard, it’s a must read. Had it not been for that book, a lot of misconceptions about Lia would still be floating around today.
Along with PaperNotes, the media - specifically the local paper - also played a role in Lia’s death. The media found out that she was an unmarried single mother, which was why she was disowned by her family, so they used that information to try to discredit her. She had also rejected advances from various journalists and editors who thought they could get something out of her, so that gave them a reason to vilify her. As she appeared in more films and wrote more books, the media became even more vicious.
In other words, she was independent and free spirited, someone who was far ahead of her time, and they hated that. At the time women were fighting for their rights and while they were pushing for change, most of society resisted. Lia thought she had a chance to fight the status quo, to pave the way for a future where women were respected, not just because they’re women, but because they’re people. Unfortunately the general public didn’t like that so they tore her apart.
The final straw for Lia was the death of her daughter. By then she was under a lot of pressure from the media slandering her and the editors trying to milk profits out of her while actively trying to suppress her. Both her film career and writing career forced her to choose between that and caring for her ill child. Of course, the media managed to paint her in a bad light when she chose to put her daughter first at the expense of her careers and reputation.
In the end, Lia had to watch her daughter die and she lost the will to live. She took a bunch of sleeping pills in desperation and while being rushed to the hospital, one of the editors found out and reported it to the local paper. Within hours news of her death spread through the city despite the fact that she was still alive but hanging by a thread.
Shun, Lia’s neighbor, and Lia’s sister were there as she lay dying, pleading for her to fight back. The neighbor managed to get a hold of the newspaper where Lia’s premature obituary made the front page. As soon as Lia saw that article, she declared that she wanted revenge. Despite regaining the will to live out of spite against those who wronged her, Lia passed away hours later. According to Shun, her final words were, “I want to live! No! I have to live! They…I must make them pay…”, and they continued to haunt him for the rest of his life.
And if that wasn’t bad enough, PaperNotes decided to put together a memorial for her so they can keep making money off her. Seeing what they said about her after vilifying and objectifying her, talking about how she had wasted potential and it was a tragedy that she died so young - it makes me mad. One minute they talk shit about her and next they make her out to be a saint. Like you think it couldn’t get any worse and then you read more into it, like what the fuck?
Sadly, Lia wasn’t the only one who got fucked over by PaperNotes. Over the years a handful of promising young talents have died tragically young, most whose stories will probably never be known. Another notable tragedy was Marcia Sillke, the wife of one of the editors who died under questionable circumstances - there’s no doubt that it was an abusive marriage. And more recently Ali Lang, who succumbed to a heart attack as twenty-five, likely due to being overworked as well as not receiving proper medical attention. Sounds like a terrible place to work at.
Now the head of PaperNotes, the great-grandson of the founder, is claiming that the publishing company’s downfall is because of Lia Ren’s ghost. After spending the past decade portraying Lia as some sort of angel, they’ve flipped the switch and are now calling her a vengeful spirit. It’s all intentional - they know the outrage will give them attention and that’s exactly what they want.
Mikayla and the others knew it was a publicity stunt as soon as they looked into his request and only accepted it because they were fed up with his unsolicited calls. They decided to have Ned and Taiki tag along to make things look more legit. Mikayla’s dealt with all kinds of terrible clients but that guy was one of the absolute worst. It wasn’t because he was uncooperative or rude, but it’s because he had absolutely no compassion. Taiki and Ned agreed - they said it was like walking into one of those shitty reality TV shows where everything’s obviously scripted and they try to make you as uncomfortable as possible just to get some sort of reaction.
That being said, if the ghost of Lia Ren really is haunting PaperNotes, they’re not gonna stop her. Hell, I’d be rooting for her. From how they disrespected her and all the other promising young talents they sent to their early graves, they deserve to be haunted. I’d like to think that Lia did make good on getting revenge for what they’ve done - for someone whose fame and success were brief, she left a pretty big impact. And if it weren’t for Shun and her neighbor, who knows what the general public would’ve viewed Lia if all they had were PaperNotes’s version(s) of her life?
For me, I think the biggest thing that gets to me about Lia Ren is how quick PaperNotes and the media were to tear her apart. It’s like they were all watching her closely, waiting for her to slip up even the slightest so they can have an excuse to bully her. The editors saw her as an object and when she refused to reciprocate their sexual advances, they turned against her. And then when details of her past emerged, they used that as ammunition. The pressures she faced publicly and privately were unimaginable - it’s no wonder she broke down after losing her daughter.
The general callousness of PaperNotes and the media regarding Lia’s death is another thing that gets to me. As it turned out, it wasn’t the pills that ultimately killed her, it was poor health as a result of the stress she had to deal with in the final year of her life - the pills just hastened her death. I can’t imagine how angry she felt when she saw the media announce her death as some sensational headline in the papers - I’d want to tear them apart too.
I think the biggest tragedy of all was that Lia was just a person. She was neither a saint or a demon, she was just someone who wanted to do their own thing and stand by her beliefs, only for those around her to treat her like some punching bag. People tried to exploit her and when she refused to be pushed around for their convenience, they kicked her down. Who knows how different things could’ve been if she survived and managed to get away? Sadly, we’ll never really know.
Mikayla, Taiki, and Ned didn’t have too much to say about the case except it’s done and over with. Whatever happens next with PaperNotes, they could care less about it. The whole thing brought the company attention at first but once their true intentions come out, they’ll be rightfully ignored. These days people rarely hear about the company and if they do, it’s all negative. Lia’s haunting them all right, just not in the physical sense but with what she left behind.
Since the topic of Lia Ren was on our minds, we decided to watch one of her movies that’s available in the public domain. It was my first time watching a silent film so that was interesting. I guess it says a lot for an almost 90 year old film to still resonate with a modern audience. A few more of her films are in the public domain so we plan to watch those too.
In the daytime we’ve been collecting apple gyroids, which we’ve been using to make pies. Apple gyroids are rare with unpredictable seasons so we try to make the most out of them when they pop up. One of Ned’s specialties is apple gyroid custard pie, the kind of thing that makes people wait in long lines for hours. The pies themselves aren’t hard to make but given their popularity, Ned has to make a lot of them in order to keep up with the demand. Now with us here, he’s been putting us to good work.
So far our routine has been collecting gyroids in the morning and making pies in the afternoon. The gyroids aren’t hard to find as they come in batches so it doesn’t take too long to fill up a basket. Then we get to prepping in the kitchen by washing, peeling, and cutting the fruit. Yesterday I was on pie crust duty, today was custard, and it looks like we’ll alternate. We’ve got an assembly line thing going on so things have been moving smoothly.
The Dub Step Pie Club is probably the only place in a world that’s a bakery and nightclub. Ned and his dad Blake manage the bakery while his other dad Malachi runs the nightclub. It seems like an unusual arrangement but it works. Ned said the name Dub Step Pie Club was sort of a joke/placeholder thing because no one could come up with anything else so it ended up sticking. Nightclubs aren’t really my thing but Dub Step has a good vibe - it’s lively and energetic but not too intense so it’s not the kind of place shady people would gravitate towards.
As for the pies, Ned never fails to deliver. Baking has always been his passion so it’s no surprise that he chose to stay on the island. He mentioned that he tried culinary school after dropping out of Seashore for the second time but that didn’t work out either. Truth was, he never really had any ambitions other than doing what he enjoys. Mikayla notes that he seems a lot happier after admitting that pursuing a higher education or a professional career wasn’t for him. Once he got that out of the way, he’s able to fully focus on his pies and make a name for himself on the island. He does seem a lot more at peace with himself.
Tomorrow the routine continues - gyroids, pie baking, and movie night. Making pies really go by more quickly when there’s a team.

“kiss, kiss fall in love” [ateez]
genre: FLUFF + reverse harem + female reader
ficstyle: bulletpoints + reactions
prompt: inspired by OURAN HIGH SCHOOL + what kind of hosts would they be?
note: I know I said I wasn’t inspired to write but I was inspired after I listened to “SAKURA KISS” by Chieco Kawabe
HONGJOONG
Tumblr media
the club president
known for his smile
being overly cheery
also a bit on the flirty side
would make sure that you were having a good time; will not leave your side until you are
“subconsciously” runs his tongue along his teeth; used to have a tongue piercing
used to be a bad boy; multiple piercings, had to take some out to get into this prestigious school, has hidden tattoos
personality-wise; fairly similar to Tamaki from OURAN HS and Terushima from HAIKYUU
small boy but is a full package
gives off a tough heartbreaker vibe, but is truly a kindhearted prince who wants everyone to be happy
the members of the club always clown him and he doesn’t know what to do but smile in sad despair
if you really get his attention, he’ll always be around you; trying to get your full, undivided attention
if you aren’t his favorite/go-to host, he’ll charm his way into your heart
I mean with a smile like his, he’s going to be your favorite in a heart beat
SEONGHWA
Tumblr media
the vice president
Hongjoong’s childhood friend; Hongjoong BEGGED him to join the club
deals with the logistics of the club
has a stern demeanor like KYOYA from OURAN HS but has personality like SUGAWARA from HAIKYUU
at first glance, he has an icy vibe about him that would make everyone think that he was one of the typical cold rich kids
but he was always taking care of everyone
legit the mother of every situation
always makes sure that everyone is comfortable
everyone thinks that he follows Hongjoong when Hongjoong follows him
Hongjoong really can’t live without Seonghwa, because Hongjoong can’t take care of himself
Seonghwa is pretty tsundere towards Hongjoong but is so loving to everyone else
if he’s interested in you, he’ll take care of you like a PRINCESS/PRINCE; legit ROYALTY
refers you as “princess/prince” or “queen/king”
he might be petty when he finds out that he isn’t your favorite or go-to; he’ll be obviously jealous and would straight up tell his members to back off (he would tell them nicely without you around)
he’ll make sure that you’ll soon only be looking at him
YUNHO
Tumblr media
everyone’s boyfriend
is made of the highest and finest quality of boyfriend material
joined the club after Hongjoong told him that he NEEDED Yunho to be in the club or he would cry
Yunho’s such an angel, he joined right away
this boy is the sweetest and genuinely tries so hard to make sure everyone is having a good time
in the fictional anime world, he’s like SHOUTA from KIMI NI TODOKE
he’s an obliviously innocent personality
AND he has a class clown goofiness to him
literally the perfect guy to fall in love with
although he’s fairly popular, he is VERY humble
he’s a hopeless romantic but he hasn’t fallen in love yet
not until he saw you
would be absolutely shy and wouldn’t know how to even talk to you
but when he saw you blushing at other member’s attempt to woo you, he started to make his way over to you
he’s nice
but not nice enough to have another member have a chance with you
for you, he’ll step out of his comfort zone to win your heart
or your smile, at least
YEOSANG
Tumblr media
the lovely prince
a literally walking statue of a GREEK GOD
Hongjoong knew that he had to get him into the club
Yeosang was reluctant at first but being as shy as he is, he was just happy to make friends
the more he’s with the club, the more he opens up
turns out he is this adorably, quirky guy who’s more than just a stone-faced thing of beauty
he would remind me of TADASE from SHUGO CHARA and KENMA from HAIKYUU
when he lays his eyes on you, just know that he’ll never make the first move
it’s not because he’s prideful but he’s just EXTREMELY shy
but maybe after your first couple of visits, he’ll be confident enough to even say “hello”
he’s the type of guy that would look at you and if you made eye-contact with him, he’d fake-yawn and look the other way to hide his blushing face away from you
WOULD prefer it if you requested for him because it’s gonna take a while for him to come up to you
SAN
Tumblr media
the flirty tease
would remind me of USUI from KAICHOW WA MAID-SAMA and NISHINOYA from HAIKYUU (fun fact: they are voiced by the same actor)
two peas in a pod with Wooyoung; like HIKARU and KAORU from OURAN
Hongjoong saw how him and Wooyoung and saw their dynamic as a duo and knew he had to swoop them into the club
loves to tease his guest
it’s so compelling; how he can look so-absolutely sweet like and angel and yet he can be such a little devil
he likes to do a push-pull effect with his guests
if you spark his attention, he teased you more than any other guest
even jokes around with you like he wants to get to know you more
he’ll give you more attention than it is actually wanted of
I mean not that anyone would really complain
San would really go out of his way to make sure that you know that he is interested in you
and only you
brings over his favorite snacks to you
puts his arm over your seat to get as close as he can to you; he’d put them over your shoulder if you let him
he’ll spend every day just thinking of you
hoping that one day, he’ll be your go-to; he would literally throw tantrums if he sees you with another member
ESPECIALY Wooyoung
MINGI
Tumblr media
tough man; soft boy
everyone gets an intimidating bad boy vibe from him
but once he smiles, he’s the sweetest and softest boy
Mingi actually looked up to Hongjoong; so when Hongjoong approached Mingi, he couldn’t help but fanboy
he looks like MORI from OURAN but acts like HINATA from HAIKYUU
he makes everyone feel like how they giggle when their crush is around but like the whole time that he’s with them
he does an amazing job at making everyone feel welcomed and heard; like he’s been your best friend since forever
he’s an honest and confident guy
so if he’s interested, you’ll know
he’ll straight up tell you
if you tell him that he’s not your favorite, he’ll bother you everyday
more like a friend because he doesn’t want to force you either
but it would make him all pouty and sad if you don’t give him any attention
would also do ANYTHING to make you smile
doesn’t mind if he’s in the friendzone for a while
WOOYOUNG
Tumblr media
the OTHER tease
he didn’t think he would stay in the club
but the more he got to know the members and the more he used his flirty antics, the more he grew attached
he reminds me of OIKAWA from HAIKYUU and HARU from TONARI NO KAIBUTSU-KUN
can be sexy
can be cute
can be a mix of both
seriously DANGEROUS
other guests cannot get enough of him
everyday is a surprise with Wooyoung; one day he wants to be a spoiled baby, on other days he wants to slam his hand against the wall and stare into his guests’ eyes
he will NOT let you out of his sight if you catch his eyes
he’ll use pick up lines with you; and maybe it’s because it’s coming from him but it works
you’d be flattered by his attempts; but if he knows that he isn’t your fave, he’ll glare at you
add in a little pout
he gives you the silent treatment until he can’t handle it anymore and will hold your hand and swing it as he throws a tantrum about why he isn’t your fave
JONGHO
Tumblr media
the strong baby boy
Hongjoong was fascinated by Jongho’s strength and saw that he had a couple of fangirls so that’s how he got into the club
Jongho is a hinedere; which someone who comes off as a little cold-hearted but has the best intentions and is actually a soft boy
he’ll do little acts of strengths; like breaking apples and his guests just watch him in awe like they’ve never seen it before
he has this super gentle smile that all of his guests swoon over
reminds me of HONEY from OURAN and IWAIZUMI from HAIKYUU
gets super shy when he sees you
gets even MORE shy when he sees how close you are to him
might offer you snacks or tea; but wouldn’t do anything more than that

(this is just me ranting about a lack of an au, ignore if ya wanna)
Where are the Miraculous Ladybug/ Persona 5 fics??
Do people just... Not find inspiration from this crossover? Think there's nothing to do? Have no thoughts on the possibilities?
I, generally, am a petty person. I like seeing karma take the reigns, and I like seeing horrible people get what they deserve (probably why I like persona 5 so much, tbh). And if I had half as much creative genius as the writers on this site, I'd do it myself.
But just imagine...
The Thieves reign for, like, two years
Bcause cops can't catch em, Shido ain't gonna get promoted for a while (or decides to lay low a bit for whatever reason), and Akechi hasn't made the connection yet.
Or, after their first 2 Paris Palaces, they go on like in Canon with Parisian teammates, and the Palace they do before Sae's is Hawkmoth, with Akechi joining them because "this can't take long- Hawkmoth needs to be brought down ASAP and we should be strong enough now"
Poor Akechi's like "????? THE PARIS TERRORIST???? HOW THE HELL-"
"Later, Akechi, but your Almighty attacks are gonna help a lot while we figure out the Shadow's weaknesses"
Then it's Sae's Palace and things go as in canon
Anyway, the Thieves meet The Class on the Hawaii trip
Sees how this sweet, kind, compassionate girl's treated by people around her
They're furious
It brings up horrible memories of their own pasts and beginnings
So they form/join the Mari Protection Squad (MPS for short)
And it's ridiculous how fast the group bonds, and how fast The Class realizes not to mess with Mari with the Thieves (and Shujin kids in general) around
The other high schoolers join cuz with the crap from Kamoshida, they've all grown a backbone
Plus the Thieves are on their side here (now all they gotta do is send a request on the Phan-site... Maybe the Thieves can do something about the Parisian)
(Tikki feels the Thieves' power- and is wary. She'd never felt something like this before- humans wielding the power of their other selves so efficiently)
And Lila, feeling the spotlight slip, makes one grave error...
Showing her true colors to the leader of the Phantom Thieves
But the Thieves know going international isn't something they wanna do- it'll cause a ton of trouble
But when Mari video calls one night and shows the Nav- they realize
Either they take action, or Mari's gonna be sucked into the Metaverse randomly (like Kasumi)
Better take her with them and explain in a controlled setting than get her killed in someone's heart
And, surprise surprise, Lila has a Palace
Like, the distortion is on par with Shido's (which the Thieves will encounter eventually)
Any place she'd been before was part of her cognitive empire
When'd she visit Japan???
And Futaba digs up some major dirt on Lila
Driving victims (who's situations eerily match Mari's) to suicide, forcing victims from the county on major charges, assault, thievery, arson- you name it she's either done it or made everyone believe her victim did
Why hadn't anyone pulled the truth from her yet? The short answer- Yaldaboath
The oversized cup finds her acts entertaining
So they gotta take her treasure now
And Mari, newly realizing she deserves better and beginning to increase her self-esteem, awakens to a Persona
(I dunno who, but having a character have Filibus as a Persona sounds kinda cool)
So she joins the Thieves in Mementos to train and get stronger
And once the Thieves take Rossi's heart, their popularity skyrockets, so they go deeper and deeper into Mementos
Because now, it's like, "Oh shite, these Japanese urban legends targeted a minor are they working with Hawkmoth??"
Cuz when Lila confesses, you bet your sweet bippy there's gonna be a Hero's Day pt 2
And the Thieves come with help from Kaalki because Chat hasn't been a partner in years and Ladybug alone with Kobra can't take them on
Morgana tails Catalyst (Akumatized Natalie) to the Agreste Manor and finds out Hawkmoth's identity
But Adrien catches him
So we get Spy!Morgana, stuck with the Agrestes until the change of heart at the latest
And Mona slips into Gabriel's Palace to scope it out and
Holy hecc, those are tough Shadows (think like in Maruki's Palace) and why is this woman everywhere???
It's a Roman temple, with statues of the same woman everywhere
Like why
And the puzzles are so confusing he can't explore the whole thing
And he eventually makes it back to the Thieves- specifically Mari who freaks when he randomly shows up
Cuz everyone's been looking high and low
And the news he brings isn't happy at all
So their next target can't be Hawkmoth, but they set it as their goal (their second-to-last heist)
In the meantime, Caline Bustier's Palace needs raiding
This woman Shouldn't Be In Charge™, Period.
Her Palace is at the school, and it looks like her definition of 'paradise'- a garden maze
Her childhood friends, co-workers, students- everyone's chilling and getting along
At least while her Shadow is watching
Wherever she isn't, the cognitive beings are at war
It's bright with rainbows and glitter, and it's nauseously obvious Bustier chooses to ignore the world around her to keep the illusion alive
The kicker is, when the Thieves first enter, they see a giant 'painting', constantly shifting and moving to match what happens in the Palace
It's sickening- her poor students
Her Shadow doesn't put up a fight, instead expressing how 'dissappointed' she is in them, how the Thieves need to 'set an example', how they're 'disrupting everyone with this silly rebellion'
They waste no time in taking her Treasure
Adrien's Palace is Agreste Manor as a prison decorated as a mansion
A maze where Shadow Adrien constantly attempts escape, so there's thousands of secret passegeways, rooms, and supplies
The windows, when looked through, show what he thinks the world is like- no war, starvation, illness, sadness.
But, when broken, they show the truth in a million fragments, only to be repaired the next time Adrien's Shadow passes by them
It's a good way to keep tabs on the Shadow
A black blur, who talks and interacts with the world at a minimum, joins the Thieves, explaining what some of the more hidden images mean
At this point, the Thieves know who Ladybug and Chat Noir are, and they're doing all they can to help
Then Okumera happens and Haru joins the group
It's bittersweet, but Haru's more than determined enough to continue being a Thief
Things go on in canon until the time the Thieves would have been in Sae's Palace
She's still a target, but they have a much more pressing deadline
Hawkmoth's been upping the stakes, the difficulty, and the number of Akuma. Paris is in real danger, and they need to stop him
Plus, it'd be hard to pin it all on him without a confession, because Gabriel is an international business
(possible Akechi redemption, as he changes sides after spending longer with the Thieves and seeing the good they can do first-hand)
Might make more later, depending on how this does

revenge is a dish best served long after the fact, so you can really savor the subtlety of the irony on the palate
See, the thing is, the first time I saw just that page of the Mabudachi Arc where Shigure's asking Tohru if she's having fun, spending every minute of every day with the person she loves...I assumed he was being salty.
Because I keep forgetting, and then suddenly remembering for just a moment, that there's a bit over half a year gap between the time when the curse ends, Shigure wins, Shigure gets Akito all to himself and everything he's ever wanted…
...and graduation, when Shigure actually gets those things.
It's probably like late July, the curse is broken, everyone is pairing up all lovey-dovey, Kureno's moving out of town and Shigure's taking his place as assistant to the Souma family head. And so Shigure turns up at the Main House (in a suit, because he believes in dressing for the job and while that means schlubbing it around in a bathrobe and glass of wine as a writer, being the personal assistant of the head of a wealthy and prestigious family--who is trying to symbolically break the cycle of stifling, traditional abuse by switching out kimono for Western-style clothes--means at the least investing in some nice slacks and button-downs) and asks so, when is he being recalled from his banishment and moving back in to the inside estate?
And Akito looks at him like he's crazy and says, "Are you crazy? No, you're not moving back here."
You can't leave that house yet, Akito says, because if you move out those three kids living with you are suddenly going to be homeless again, and you can't do that to Tohru.
Okay, so technically there's no reason Kyou can't move back in with Kazuma--except that the dojo is inconveniently far away from Kaibara High School, I'm not sure Japan has school districts exactly like the US but something I was googling a while ago suggested they have a similar idea anyway about how you go to the school you're easily able to walk to--and of course Kazuma would happily take Tohru in as well. But Akito can't just send Yuki back to live with his parents now.
Shigure is pretty sure this is bullshit. First of all, Tohru runs that house and manages the boys perfectly fine as it is, and in fact she could probably do an even better job without Shigure there. They'll all be just dandy without an adult in the house. And secondly, although Shigure is unaware of this argument at the time, Yuki's girlfriend manages to live alone in an apartment without dying and she's nearly as much of a disaster as Yuki.
Yes, Yuki has a girlfriend, and Shigure remains unaware of this fact for a decent while, partly because Yuki refuses to ever bring anyone over to the house. Oh, Aya has talked about Yuki bringing a girlfriend around the shop for months now, but Shigure assumed that was Aya being Aya.
The girl--some friend from school?--existed mostly in Shigure's mind as a sort of hypothetical, in potentia, a Schrodinger’s girlfriend if you will.
The box won't open until one day when Shigure's lurking about the living room, as the boys do when they're waiting for Tohru to finish dinner, and he wonders aloud where Yuki is.
"He's, um, he's at his secret base," Tohru volunteers as she's bringing dishes to the table.
"Well," Shigure says to Kyou, shooing him toward the yard, "go on then and call him in for dinner. We can't let this good food get cold!"
No, Kyou says, he's not out there. "Secret base" isn't the codeword for his garden anymore, Yuki switched it to mean his girlfriend's apartment. He's at his girlfriend's apartment. And in all honesty Kyou's pretty sure that rat is spending the night.
And here Shigure is--and has been since summer break started--stuck living in this house, having to spend all his nights alone, unable to do with his girlfriend exactly what Yuki is theoretically doing with his own, just because he's an "adult" and isn't allowed to leave Kyou and Tohru unsupervised.
It isn't fair.
"Life's not fair," Akito tells him, a comment that isn't any less annoying for its truth. "You're a walking cautionary tale. This is what happens when you sleep around: you suddenly find yourself as the legal guardian of three children that you can't just move out on and abandon."
Akito kind of low-key thinks this is great, actually. She's more-or-less forgiven him about sleeping with her mom, sure, in the sense of forgiving as "I have to let this go and stop obsessing over this for my own sake, my making peace with this in no way condones his actions, but I'm okay and can get on with my life." But a little piece of her is still annoyed that--no matter how well things worked out in the end--her ploy to punish Shigure by banishing him from her presence and using the curse against him...really didn't work in the moment.
Now he's getting his comeuppance belatedly, and it's amazing. Now Shigure has to be apart from her, and he's suffering and chafing, and it's not even because of something Akito's doing to be petty.
Akito's even learning not to mind having an empty bed and no one she can call to get in it when she's lonely at night, the revenge is that great.
And it really is poetic justice, everywhere you turn. Yuki's apparently got a girlfriend he can spend the night with on the down-low whenever he wants. Kyou and Tohru are allegedly increasing their physical intimacy now that they've dropped the burden of the curse and all their respective baggage, and Shigure can't even find it in him to catch them at it and tease them most of the time because his own situation is just too depressing.
Then there's Dr. "I don't need a new love" who's suddenly changed up the way he puts his outfits together, as if someone other than the usual Souma staff is in his closet first thing in the morning, and who also just in general goes about his work with sickening contentedness. Even Ayame shows up one day like "I think this wedding band really enhances my innate royal elegance, you know, it's so nice to finally break it out, it took us a while to unearth those little boxes out of storage and then we had to polish the shine back on them a bit but my don't they look gorgeous now! Btw Mine's been my wife all this time and please feel free to send us your gift money now."
Everyone knows Haru and Rin have been sleeping together for a while now, Ritsu's making plans to move in with girlfriend Mitsuru, and Shigure can't even hang around with Kagura and Momiji to commiserate because they both get very scathing like, "Oh really, how terrible it must be to have an actual concrete plan for your life that you know is going to make you happy and satisfied, yeah, it's so horrible seeing everyone else all lovey-dovey when you have your own guarantee you just have to wait until March to seize on."
Shigure all but stalking around for the month of March like "Aya you better have gotten your brother an apartment, once he's graduated his ass better be out of here, I will throw him out on the street" and "Kazuma if Kyou and Tohru haven't talked to you about apartment-hunting then I will, I will even do actual work like researching neighborhoods and reading lease papers and helping to cover deposits whatever it takes they are not going to be in this house come April." Everyone else has already been living the happy ending they earned over half a year ago when all Shigure's plans culminated in fruition and now he's going to get his, this is a man with motivation. Desperation. Frustration. Whatever.
Instead of getting punched in the face, Shigure got a retribution that aged like a fine wine. And I'm gonna sit here and toast to that.

Haru Yoshioka, Monsterhunter
A/N: Belated Secret Santa (or not-so-secret, since you asked for this, but who knows? maybe you forgot asking for it) for the ever-lovely @tcrmommabear, Shelby, my dear. You asked for Haru the Monster Hunter, so Merry Christmas!
(To my official Secret Santa: your present is coming! Sorry!)
The idea of Haru walking away from the Bureau after her Cat Kingdom adventure, aged 16 and with a whole world ahead of her, was to give her the chance for an ordinary life.
Haru knew that and respected that.
She just didn’t necessarily agree with it.
The thing about discovering that the world is made up with magic and mystery, hidden just behind the mundane veneer of ordinary life, is that it suddenly gets very difficult to unsee it. Suddenly, she could no longer ignore the shapes in the shadows, the shifting forms in the smoke, the people who - if looked at for just a moment too long - didn’t seem quite real. And, upon realising what she was seeing, she couldn’t just pass it by anymore.
Most supernatural creatures weren’t inherently malicious, she discovered. Petty, maybe. Fickle, definitely. But as long as people respected them - or, at least - kept their distance, and most people instinctively did even if they didn’t realise it, then there was no problem. Usually. As long as she figured out what the problem was, it was no big deal.
However, there were always the exceptions.
A month after the Cat Kingdom adventure, she discovered an oni had taken up residence in the school sports shed.
One heavy research session, several missteps, and a soybean-and-holly rite later, it wasn’t anymore.
And, after that, things had just kind of... spiralled. Snowballed. That was the word she was looking for: snowballed. Things had snowballed and so, here she was, nearly a decade later, breaking and entering into her local museum at half two in the morning.
Not the most logical of career steps, she had to admit, but it had made sense at the time. Things usually did. It was only later, when Haru was trying to explain why all the generators at the carnival had simultaneously blown and she was standing over the main one with a wrench and a fire extinguisher, that it all fell apart.
Oh, sure, the carnival loved ghosts as far as the Haunted House ride went, but the moment she started trying to explain a spirit had been living in the electricity and was the reason for two near-electrocutions in the past week, it was like they didn’t want to know.
Hypocritical, much?
She hopped over the low rope fence that marked the museum grounds, and started for the back entrance with lockpicks at the ready. A sign hung above the handle.
This door is alarmed, it said.
It wasn’t.
They never were.
Well. Nearly never.
Inside, the museum was dark. Quiet. Her footsteps echoed along the tiled floor, long shadows cast from the heavy-duty torch she held in one hand. Just what someone might expect from a museum in the small hours of the morning, if that same museum hadn’t also been the location for six missing people in two weeks.
She stopped by the Asuka exhibit and fished out a printed map marked with six dots.
Six dots for six missing people.
Three kids on two different school trips. One young artist. An accountant. And a museum curator.
There had been some difficulty tracking down their last known locations. For starters, the museum had never invested in security cameras - something they were now reconsidering - and, while this was working to her advantage right now, it did mean she only had eyewitness accounts to guesstimate how these people had vanished.
For the artist, there was only the vague account of employees seeing her briefly on the second floor. The accountant had been with his family, detoured to the bathroom and never returned. The curator was the vaguest; she never arrived home and no one saw her leave at the end of her shift.
The schoolchildren though... that was where things got interesting.
Sure, she could understand something snatching away an errant visitor or employee who strayed into an otherwise empty room or stayed too late after hours. (Didn’t mean she was about to let the creature get away with it, but she had encountered enough monsters to know that was their usual modus operandi.) But three kids disappearing in a crowded room, surrounded by their peers and teachers? That took some doing.
That was where she would find her answers.
The room in question was the temporary exhibit space, recently renovated as a local history piece. She remembered it being announced in the newspaper - history from your town, it had declared. Artefacts from the people who had lived here! She supposed, with a call like that, it was unavoidable that something brought in would have been haunted. Still, that was why she did what she did. To stop supernatural happenings like this.
She gently eased the door open. It squeaked. But nothing came at her, nothing moved. It was... just an empty exhibit.
She lowered the torch she had raised above her head, gingerly flicking its beam across the room. Illuminated were mostly items she recognised from her grandmother’s era. Musty clothes, traditional wooden toys, and old collections of make-up and dressing table items. Schoolbooks from nearly a century back were resting in glass cages, carefully selected pages open for the public’s perusal.
And... bingo.
She came to a halt before a wide, low display, sheltering an old dollhouse.
Not that she had any evidence yet that this was the cause. But, come on. It was an old dollhouse. It practically screamed haunted.
Haru hunkered down, bringing her eyes to the same level as the house’s first-floor windows. It was closed, which seemed strange for a museum piece. She would have expected it open, so the visitors - and the occasional monsterhunter - could see all the little details that made up the interior. As things stood, she could only see a glimmer of white paint and tiny fabric cushions through the wooden windows.
Something moved inside.
Nope.
Noooooooope.
She could walk away now. No one would blame her. Not least because no one knew she was here in the first place. Of course, that would still leave whatever monster was causing this at large, but even so...
Haru groaned and knelt back down before the dollhouse.
“Dammit,” she muttered. “Sometimes being the good guy sucks.” She flicked her torchlight over the exhibit, the glow catching on windows and doors and what little details lay inside, but no more movement. “Hello?” she whispered. And then, because she felt a little foolish whispering in an empty room and she had generally found that sounding scared in such cases was a bad idea, she tried again, louder. “Hello? Is anyone there? I’ve come to talk to you about the people you’ve been taking.”
Her torch tapped against the glass barrier and then
She wasn’t in the museum anymore.
She was in a traditional bedroom, with futon bedding and sliding panel doors to a living room. A lantern hung overhead, but no light came from it. A lone circular window revealed a giant world beyond.
The dollhouse.
She was in the dollhouse.
And tiny.
Haru barely resisted the urge to groan again. As things went, she merely dropped her forehead against her wrists and rubbed at her eyes. When she opened them, she was still in the dollhouse, but now there was a new shadow falling over the wooden floor.
She whirled and slammed the torch into the - side? Into the side of whatever had approached her. (Her mistake. She had assumed it would be a child ghost. Creatures that haunted dolls and dollhouses tended to take on younger forms, and that smack should have landed its head.) The thing - she caught a glimpse of grey material in her hurried state - staggered, and she swung her free hand into her backpack. She found her pouch of herbs and beans, a concoction she had discovered (through a fair bit of trial and error) to be effective with oni or Japanese-based ghosts. She threw down a handful at the creature. Smoke and sparks sizzled off.
That was partly her own invention. It didn’t do much with ghosts, but it sure looked intimidating. Any moment now, the ghost should be receding, giving her some time to find its source of power within the house and--
It coughed.
The creature - ghost, monster, oni - coughed.
A gloved hand appeared through the smoke and waved away the fog.
So. Probably not a ghost then.
Haru shifted her grip on her torch, ready for another swing, when the creature staggered out of the smoke and she could finally see the cause of all this trouble--
“Baron?”
The feline Creation coughed again, politely into a handkerchief, she could now see, and met Haru’s gaze. "Haru?”
She grinned. “Long time no see, huh?”
His gaze travelled over her - to the slightly-dented torch (she had used it as a blunt instrument more than once and, frankly, it was a miracle it still worked), to her still-dusty hands, to what Haru liked to consider her ‘monsterhunting gear’ (which was practical clothing, with the luxury of a long coat and a smidgen of leather) - before finally putting all the context clues together.
“Haru... what are you doing here?”
Okay, so maybe he hadn’t pieced the clues together.
“Same reason as you, I’m guessing,” she said. “Haunted dollhouse, people vanishing without trace, possible monster activity...” She ticked off the points on her fingers. “All in a day’s work.”
“You do this regularly?”
“Sneaking into museums or getting trapped in haunted dollhouses? Because the latter is definitely a first for me.”
“Seeking out the supernatural,” Baron said.
“The official term is monsterhunter,” Haru corrected. “And I’m pretty good at it.”
Baron glanced down at his jacket and picked off a remnant of the anti-oni concoction. “Is this... a soybean?”
“Roasted,” Haru confirmed. “It helps drive oni away. As do sardine heads, apparently, but that gets a little smelly to keep in a bag.” She couldn’t help it: she beamed. “I know these aren’t the best circumstances, but I’ve gotta admit it: it’s good to see you again. Sorry for throwing soybeans at you. And hitting you with my torch.”
He smiled back, and Haru’s stomach did a funny little flip.
(After all these years, really? Couldn’t a woman grow out of her schoolgirl crush, she lamented?)
“It’s good to see you again, Miss Haru.”
There was a roar from deep within the house.
“And I believe that is our cue,” Baron said. He extended a hand to Haru. “Are you coming?”
Haru hefted her torch in her spare hand. “Always.”
