SPOILERS BELOW FOR EPISODE 12

I haven't seen anyone post about this yet, so thought I'd bring it up...

Are we just going to ignore the fact that Ren wished away HUNDREDS of people and there wasn't any indication if they came back?

After everyone disappears, Haru, MC, and Towa seem at a loss for words. Ren is the only one that speaks up and awkwardly expresses relief.

Then the cat anomaly shows up and the gang's attention gets refocused to that. The people don't get mentioned for the rest of the chapter. Understandably a lot happened in a short amount of time, so I can see it being easy to forget things in the heat of the moment.

Here's the kicker though - when they meet the sheepdog god in the next chapter, NO ONE THINKS TO MENTION BRINGING ALL THE PEOPLE BACK!

Both Haru and Ren make wishes for themselves to return to normal, but then the chapter ends. There's no indication in the remaining chapters that anyone made a wish for the people to return or for everything to return to normal on the farm.

So now the big question is what happened to the people???

Did the gang just conveniently forget to wish the people back once they returned to normal?

Did Haru decide it was too risky because the god didn't have enough power and might make things worse?

Does wishing people away mean you also forget that they existed entirely?

Could this just be a silly little plot hole the devs overlooked, that I'm reading way too much into? (.... most likely honestly 🫠)

If I remember right one of them was "accidentally kidnapping a mafia boss" instead of getting kidnapped by the mafia and i think that has some kind of hilarious potential with Sinostra...

I think the key word here is "accidentally" too like no plan no intent it just happened somehow and now you gotta deal with not only him but also Romeo losing his shit (or alternatively hindering you from returning him because now he can get work done without having to babysit) and Ritsu trying to convict you for a heinous crime just because their freak boss broke into your car and fell asleep in the back seat or something and you were in too much of a hurry to notice

Once again wishing Yusuke was given more main plot relevance as the few moments he has are so consistently excellent and subtly devastating. All of the Thieves are hurt and outraged by the way the public turned on them immediately after Okumura’s death - except Yusuke who wasn’t surprised in the slightest and calmly implied he expected this as an inevitability. After all, he knows very well what praise looks like from people who only value you for what you output.

Modern day AU with you and the kitsune except it's you and Fuyu as college roommates at your musical theater university and incoming freshman Aki just moved in bc your previous roomie Natsu just had his lease expire and the guy next door Haru keeps flirting with you. Cue shenanigans

So-- you just want me to write a fanfic.

This is literally calling me out personally, like--- how dare.

ANYWAYS! So,

You and Natsu were friends that went way back, and you met his childhood friend Fuyu when the three of you became college roommates together.

So it was all three of you in a largish (for college) apartment. And the first year was pretty good. You and Fuyu had the same major so you end up spending a lot of time together. He has a classical music degree but switched to musical theater in his second year. Natsu is a fashion major, and so he interacts with you too a lot, either as a roommate, or as an extra set of hands for the costume department.

Haru is a business major who lives across the hall from you three. He's a party boy who seems to live alone and always has a new person over every night. He looooves to answer his door or get his mail in just a towel, much to Fuyu's chagrin.

At the start of your second year of college (Fuyu and Natsu fourth, Haru's third), Natsu drops a bombshell that he got a job offer in new york and is going to take it, leaving you and Fuyu in need of a roommate. Don't worry though! His cousin Aki is just start college and is here to take his place! Aki is a scatter brained ball of energy who hasn't picked a major yet.

All of them have Dokis in their own different ways.

And now I'm picturing a college au with Iris and the kitsune where they're all massively crushing on her and she doesn't really notice and it's just a bunch of crazy college antics.

....I may need to add another fic to the list....

i couldn't tell you why exactly but i enjoy putting haru in a position where she's kind of Extending the same need to repay kindness that the cat king can be surmised to have without realizing she's playing into that circle of gratitude

she's naturally kind already, and with the events of the movie showing her just how powerful and how meaningful even her small actions can be, i do like the idea of her looking at some of the other characters who have helped her and offered her so much guidance, etc. and feeling that there must be something she can do in return for them as well

which is probably why i have a couple stories that only come about bc she sees some old hurt just covered up with a band-aid and wonders if maybe a little New Blood might be the trick to get that process going

i just like the idea of a haru who gets very determined and stubborn as she gets older, but never for the purposes of wounding someone, and not necessarily in a bull-headed or Sassy way, but just that she will see a problem that's not being dealt with and roll up her sleeves to go apply some gentle but Unending pressure lmao

she can be reasoned with of course! sometimes she doesn't understand all the nuances of what she's trying to fix. but sometimes she does manage to bring in a new perspective, i think, for problems that are Ages Old
