Harry is not hot as he used to be

No, he isn't. He isn't "hot" anymore at all. His fans just cope all day and try to compare his recent photos to his ~2013–2018 ones, squinting their eyes to pretend he still looks the same. He's way past his peak.

Like, he's not exactly someone who always wanted to wear pink blush and Dorothy dresses; he just likes doing whatever garners him attention and gives him the appearance of a rockstar.

And this goes out to all those fans who believe he's secretly transfemme as well. I can't explain it, but this is what a man who loves being a man looks like:

Harry has all these bold, ugly, expensive, "quirky" outfits but nothing behind them, no great art, or wit, or intelligence, or musical genius, so his outfits look extra ridiculous. Plus he never speaks out on anything and stays quiet as a church mouse. Somebody tell the clown to just wear jeans and t-shirts. He'd look a whole lot better and not be such a laughingstock.

That's the thing. He does wear jeans and t-shirts as his personal style. That's why everything else looks ridiculous on him. He's just a mannequin for someone else's vision.

Horrible Goose fest fic: Pubic Relations

Three years ago I started writing a gift fic for my lovely friend @sassy-sassy3 where I took inspiration from Lil' Nas X song "Montero (Call me by your name)". Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish it, and then it's been left on the shelf, collecting dust and making me feel guilty (so much that I wrote Sassy another gift fic as a placeholder). So when I saw the @horriblegoosefest I took it as a sign for me to finally get my shit together and give Sassy all the first time goodness she deserves. I was so happy and relieved to be paired with the amazingly kind and talented @nv-md (who I've admired from afar), and she's been gently honking me on while finishing this fic. Thank you so much Ali, I really appreciated you as my goose and having you yelling at me in the doc.

I also want to thank @etalice for the encouragement I needed to do a massive sprint and for keeping me writing company. And @crazybutgood for offering to beta for me when I was struggling to meet the deadline. And of course, massive thanks to the mods for hosting this fest and all the work you've done with it (not to mention the patience and understanding you showed when I needed extensions).

He's been trained since 1D to tread very carefully in interviews. That's why he's almost always taking on a centrist point of view when asked for his opinion on anything and why he almost never has anything unique or in-depth to say. It's also easy to convince your young fans that you're an intellectual when you hold back and speak slower than molasses; they convince themselves that you're just so deep in your own mind that you don't talk much and you don't pay attention to the world around you.

It's strange how Harries like to brag about Harry reading and going to museums, and liking art, (and slam other singers for not doing so). It's great and all, but it surely hasn't benefitted him in the intelligence department (he has nothing to say, and when he does say something, he sounds ignorant). And him music is basic and repetitive and bad. Harries will even slam Taylor Swift and say she needs to read and go to museums like Harry so her music will be better. Like her or not, Taylor is smarter than Harry, articulate, and she can write him under a fucking table.

for harry these things are like that typewriter he claimed he wrote all his songs on for his first album. it's an aesthetic. it's a PR tactic. he's trying to sell himself as an intellectual artiste. his people have told him this is how to go about things.

he doesn't have any real interest or passion in any of these things. ask him about any of the books he's supposedly read and you'll get gibberish back. he did an entire movie based off a book and couldn't articulate a single thing about LGBT rights or LGBT movies and art. you'd think an artiste would've seen enough LGBT movies and art he would have something honest and meaningful to offer about it.

he markets this as a thing about him to get his fans to act like this about him. he wants the image that he's an intellectual.

Okay so my boyfriend is a dork and he doesn't know about One Direction (or anyone from Hollywood for that matter). I wanted to talk to someone about everything going on, and since he HAS to listen to me,I was telling him about them, and I sent him pics of all the four members. Didn't send Liam's because I don't think I can bear it today. So I was explaining all the lore to him and just out of curiosity I asked him which members he thought looked the best. And he said Louis and Zayn and I was like!!!!

Harry was also close to Ben Winston (and perhaps still is) and showed support for Israel, but people love to make excuses for him. He also will not speak out on the Israel vs Palestine issue.

Harry has been groomed by older people around him and family members to be a zionist. Do I blame him? Yes, because he's too grown now to still be one, and the fault lies with him now.

It will be unpopular opinion but I’m actually wondering how fans are expecting Harry to pick his side in this conflict when his image is so carefully curated since he’s this popular and to be he’s such a blank canvas. For like past year and so he barely spoke about anything, he even didn’t defend himself when people were angry with him after that stunt RS interview or his Grammy speech. And now fans are expecting him to choose side in a conflict which, let’s be honest, is very problematic and no matter which side he’ll choose, it will be wrong. Even people I know or are in my friends list on fb are divided and I see defenders/supporters from both groups. I just haven’t expected him to choose his side just like I know he doesn’t say anything to any topic.

I don't think your opinion is unpopular. It is a good explanation as to why he isn't saying anything. There is just two issues here. First one being that he has strayed away from the blank canvas and never comment approach. He's taken to the streets and been to a BLM protest, he's mocked Trump and he has encouraged people to support the end of gun violence. So there is an expectation there from his fans, despite him trying to be everything to everyone at once, to speak up.

My second point is that many people don't see two sided to this issue. They see genocide and war crimes happening. They see children being the main victims of this war. No matter what side you're on, everyone should agree that this is wrong. Asking for a ceasefire isn't really picking a side. It's the humanitarian and right thing to do. That's all i'm seeing people wish he'd speak on and call for. By staying silent, he's also picking a side. It doesn’t really help that he's lifted the hammer of Isr*el or have z*onist friends and buisness partners who's sort of picked a side already. To many of his fans his silence on this issue is telling them he's picking the wrong side.
