Hp and Narnia fans I summon you to talk to you all.

Now I know we as a fandom have fancasted the Pevensie children as the founders of Hogwarts but what if we changed it a bit.

Now hear me out, we originally casted Peter Pevensie as Godric Gryffindor, Susan Pevensie as Rowena Ravenclaw, Edmund Pevensie as Salazar Slytherin, and Lucy Pevensie as Helga Hufflepuff and everyone either agreed or disagreed about their house placement.

But I think I shall bring a new idea forth. Allow me to introduce the idea

Lucinda "Lucy" Gryffindor, daughter of Godric Gryffindor

Edmund Ravenclaw, son of Rowena Ravenclaw and brother of Helena Ravenclaw

Susannah "Susan" Slytherin, daughter of Salazar Slytherin

And last but certainly not least

Peter Hufflepuff, son of Helga Hufflepuff

Think about this for a second.

⤷ original owner of the sorting hat ⤷ "most accomplished dueler of his age" ⤷ maker of gryffindor's sword ⤷ his west country village hometown was later renamed godric's hollow in his honor. ⤷ lots of characters from godric's hollow are headcanoned to be related to godric. ⤷ creator of gryffindor house ⤷ most supportive of muggleborns out of the founders. ⤷ used to be best friends with salazar slytherin, but had a huge fight (about muggleborns) that caused slytherin to leave hogwarts.

Hogwarts Founders' Era OC: Edward (The Valiant)

Edward grew up in and around Hogwarts with a front row seat to the turbulent years its founders lived through. Rowena Ravenclaw had promised Edward's mother Elfreda to take care of him in case anything happened to her. Elfreda had always been secretive about the boy's father and Rowena didn't push the matter. Edward was a quiet child intent on his studies, but also showed remarkable talent in combat, both magical and non-magical. During the conflict between Slytherin and the rest of the founders, Edward was 17 and an invaluable ally to Rowena.

Edward became known as The Valiant due to the gallant displays he showed in battle. He viewed Helena Ravenclaw as a sister and was deeply affected by her death.

this is the first era of hogwarts. as the name implies, this era is the one in which hogwarts was founded. this era has a mild reliance on canon content for important events, but characterization is left almost entirely to the fandom. . . . . . ╰──╮꒰ characters ꒱ ╭──╯ . . . . . interestingly, the founders have been widely headcanoned to be the pevensie children from the narnia book series. all four founders were originally friends. ocs are important to this fanbase, as there are only 6 canon characters.

"Jealous of my freedom" is an odd phrase to use here, isn't it?

The Baron loved Helena Ravenclaw, but she did not love him. Helena had stolen the diadem from her mother, and fled to a forest in Albania. She's living alone, in the wilderness, having stolen from her mother, not even being able to use the diadem for anything, and he's jealous of her?

Of her freedom?

As the daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw, one of the founders of Hogwarts and the wisest one, Helena would have been under quite a lot of pressure and expectations. Perhaps she chose to flee to remote Albania for more reasons than simple fear of being discovered as the thief of the diadem.

And if any of the other founders also had children - we know that Slytherin, at least, did, the Gaunts being the ignoble scions of his line - they, too, would have been under just as much pressure, expectations, constraints.

I don't know if the wizarding worlds has titles and nobility, like lords and knights and so on. But many purebloods considered being pureblood as good as having a noble title, didn't they? Such as...a baron, perhaps? Who, it's confirmed, was Sorted into Slytherin House?

Could the Bloody Baron, jealous of Helena Ravenclaw's newfound freedom, have been the son of Salazar Slytherin?
